1. Introduction: Hello everyone. I'm Uni. And into this class
we'll draw space, Foxes. This class doesn't require any prior experience
or fancy tools. We'll start from
scratch and we'll be using simple techniques
throughout the process. Everything you'll see will
be happening in procreate. However, if you
have other software or want to try
traditional materials, you are welcome to join. If you are ready to start, let's jump right into it.
2. General Scheme: Let's tie our class by deciding what kind of canvas we
are going to be using. You can see it is a very simple standard square canvas
that you can find. In procreate, both
pixel width and pixel height are
set at 2048 pixels. But of course, if you
would like to use any other dimensions for
canvas, just go for it. As for GPI, we are using 300. And as for the color profile, it is set as SRGB
with the low number. When it's all done, let's just hit down over the top right, and it will be redirected
to our new canvas. And now we will need to
decide what kind of colors we are going to be using
throughout the whole class. If you want, you can
pick your own colors, but if you want to follow along, please go to the project and
rest you up and download all the materials when you've
downloaded everything. Let's just go and check
out what we have. We will go to our color
palettes and we will see that we have a few options of
how we can use our colors, the compact view, and the cards. We will go to the cards because here we have
all the colors, names and it will be easier
for us to navigate Frida. Now, while we are still here
into our color palettes, let's select some orange color that we will use for
creating our first scheme. You can decide whether
you want to go with red, orange, pale orange,
beach, or red. Select one of these
orange colors and let's just go and change the
color of our backgrounds. What we need to do is
to go to our layers. And we will need to go to
our background color layer. Let's just tap on it again. Here we are using our cards. If you have the
option like that, you can always go to the
bottom of this panel, to the palettes, and
then to the cards. When you are in the cards, let's just go and find the color with the
name backgrounds. And we will tap on it that way. We changed our
backgrounds and now we will need to go and
prepare our brush. So let's just get to our brush library and we will
go to the kitchen folder. Into the sketching folder, you can decide which
brush you want to use. You can go find out one brush, try it on your canvas. If you don't like it, get
back to your brush library, change the brush and
find what works for you. For example, let's just
go with six B pencil. But of course, if you want
to use any other brush, you are welcome to do it. When we have
prepared everything, we will go back to our canvas and we will start
creating our scheme. Firstly, we will need to
go and create a line that will go on the vertical axis
and that will be straight. We will do it just with one
line by going to our canvas. Let's go over one of the sides. You decide which
one you want to go. For example, right
one or left one. Let's just go and create
the line going from top to the bottom and
the ends of the line. We will hold our apple pencil. If we need to adjust the angle on this line
to make it straight, we will move our
apple pencil from side to side, create
something like that. And when you are satisfied with the straightness
of your line, let's just lift up
our apple pencil. If you need to adjust
this line even more, you can see on the top we have the option aged, popped up. We can just go there and
adjust it from here. For example, if you
need to move your line, you will hold your apple pencil at some blank space and you will just move it to
the place that you need need to adjust the angle, you will go to one
of these nodes over the top or over the bottom. You will hold your
apple pencil there and adjust your line for now. We will need to have
something like that. And when we are ready
with our editing, if we are at the editing mode, we will need to go away from it. We will need to tap
on our screen either with our apple pencil or
with one of our fingers. Now, when we have
this first line, let's just go and make
a few marks down that will help us to build
up our future scheme. What we need to do, firstly, is to go over the
top of the line, and let's just tap a
little bit to the bottom. We will need to go and make a little mark down
somewhere like here. When we have our
first mark down, we will go to the bottom
part on this line. And we will divide
it by two pieces. So let me just go
and by eye we will find the center on this
bottom part of this line. Let's just make a
little mark down like here when we have
something like that. Let's just go and choose
a different color. We will go to our color palettes and let's select
some bright colors. For example, this green one will work perfectly. Let's
select this color. And then we will go back to our layers and we will
create another layer. So let's just tap
on the plus icon. And for now let's just keep
our layers without any names. Later on we will merge
all of them together, that layers that will belong to our scheme and we will just
rename them as scheme. Now when we have this new layer, we will need to start
creating our scheme. Now let just go to the top
of this line that we have. And we will need
to create a curve that will be connected with
the bottom part of this line. What we need to do is to go to the top of this line firstly, and then go to the bottom
with the curve like that. In the end, hold
your apple pencil. If you need to adjust
it, just move it. And if you need to
adjust it even more, go to the editing mode
and adjust it from here. We will need to have just
a very slight curve. We will need to end up
with something like that. We will use this line
later on and it will help us to build our
character in three quarters. Now when we have
something like that, let's just get away
from our editing mode. So we will tap on
our screen with one of our fingers or with
our apple pencil. When we are done
with this element, we will one more time go to our layers and we will
create one more layer above. Onto this layer, we will
start building up our shapes. We will start by creating
the shape for the head. Let's just go to
this middle part on this orange
line that we have. We will go right between
these two nodes and we will create a shape of the perfectly round circle, Nothing car. We will just go with one line, the same way as we did
with our first line and we will go and start
creating our shape. Let's just go to the top node
that we have and we will go around and we will hold
our apple pencil at the end. You can see now we
snapped it to an ellipse, but we will need to have
a perfectly round circle without lifting up
your apple pencil. Let's just tap on our screen and hold one of
our fingers on it. If you need to adjust the
size of your elements, move your apple
pencil from side to side and you will see that
you are changing the size. If you need to
adjust it even more. Let's just lift up everything that we are
holding right now, and we will go over the
soap to this option circle. What we need to do is to move our circle just a
little bit to the left. Our part of this ellipse on the left will be a little bit bigger than our
part on the right. It's not centered, so we will need to end up with
something like that. You can see that our
orange line is not going through the
center of our shape. We will need to have something like that when you have it. We will need to tap on the
screen and we will need to get away from our editing
mode when we did it. We will need to work more onto the shape of
our head because we don't want to use this very
boring circle for the head. We will go and adjust our shape. We can do it manually or we can just go and use
one option that procreate has let just go to our arrow key
on the top plate. We will go to the transform
two on the bottom we have the option verb and
we will just tap on it. And you will see that we
have this bounding box. And that this bounding box also has some lines
inside of it. That means that we can
go to the blue nodes. And we can go to
any line that we have on this bounding box
and we can adjust it. What we need to do is to
firstly go to the bottom nodes. For example, let's start
with the bottom right and we will just drag it
more toward the side. We will need to have a
more narrow shape on the top and more white
shape on the bottom. Let's just create
something like that. Firstly, we are moving
our nodes to the sides, one on the left and
one on the right. And we will end up with
something like that, try to make this shape
even on both sides. So don't move too far when
you have something like that. Let's just go over the
top and we will drag our nodes that we have on the sides a little bit
toward the center. In the end, we will need to have the shape of the
very squished eg, when you have
something like that. Let's just go and
desalate everything by hitting our arrow
key one more time. When we have the
shape like that, we are ready to go and end
the shape for the body. Firstly, we will go to
this part on the bottom, on this orange
line that we have. And we will need to
make one more markdown. We will need to find a
center of this piece. Let's just go and make a
little markdown like that. If you want, you can play around with these little shapes. You can go not
toward the center, you can go a little bit
higher or a little bit lower. Later on we can adjust it. For now, let's just go
with more centerpiece. When you have this
little mark down, we will go to the sides and we will create two vertical lines. Firstly, let's just go
over one of our sides, for example, the left one. We will find this
intersection between our little curve and
the shape of the head. And we will move a little
bit more toward the left. Let's just make a
little mark down somewhere like here
when you have it. From here we will go down and we will create a line
going vertically. You can use the same
tool that we use before. You can hold your apple pencil
at the end of the line. Or you can just go manually and create the line in that way. When you have this first line that is vertical on one side, let's move onto
the opposite side. And let's create
another line here. We will need to pay
attention to the distance between this line and
our orange center line, because it won't be
right in the center. We will need to make our part on the right a little bit smaller
than our part on the left. Let's just go to
this intersection that we have right here. From it, we will
step a little bit toward the right and we will
make a little mark down. When you've put this
little mark down, make sure that the
distance right here and right here is not
even when you have it. Let's just go down
with another line that will go vertically. If you want to adjust it, go over the top to the editing mode and
adjust it from here. If you feel that maybe
you want to move your line a little bit toward the right, you
are welcome to do it. But still, make sure that this distance from the center is a little bit smaller
than the distance on the left when you have
something like that. Let's just stop on
the screen and we will get away from
our editing mode. Now when we have these two
lines that we have vertically, let's just go and connect them on the bottom with
a little curve. We will just go to
the line on the left. And from here we will go and
create a curve in that way. Hold it at the end. And also, let's go over the
top end adjusted. We will go to this node
that we have in the middle. And we will try to make it, even if you want, you can move this line to this little mark down
that you have here. Or if you want, you can
keep it as it is right now. Make sure that this
line is curvy. And when you are down,
let's just step on the screen to get away
from our editing mode. Now we have the
shape for the body. Let's just go and
work onto the legs. Firstly, let's just go to this little intersection
that we have between this curve
that we have just created and our orange line. From this little intersection, we will go and create a curve. Going in that way, we
are creating something parallel to the curve that
we have as our main curve. When you have
something like that, you can play around with it. You can go and maybe make it not that curvy and
not that parallel. Later on, we will use this
curve to create a leg. For now, let's just keep
it as something like that. When you have this first curve, let's just go to our left part. And let's create another
shape for our leg. Firstly, we will go to
this intersection between our main green curve and our curve that we
have on the bottom. And we'll step a little
bit from it to the left. Let's just go and make a
little mark down here. When you have it, we
will go and create another line going down
in that way, again, if you want to, can play
around with the curvature of this element and
with its position and with everything that you
want to play around with. When you have
something like that. Let's just go and start creating the lines that later on we
will turn into our arms. What we need to do is to go to the shape of the
head that we have. And we will go somewhere near
this intersection between our shape of the head and
our main green curve. Let's just go a little bit
toward the left and we'll make a little mark down
right here when you have it. We will go to the side
with the curve like that. When you have this first curve, let's just go over
our right side. And let's create
another curve Again, we're going to our line
that we have for our heads. And let's just go to this
middle part right here. We will make a little markdown. And from this markdown
we will create a similar line to what
we have on our left. When we are done with this part, let's just go over the
top and we will work on the lines that later on we will use to create the ears. Firstly, let's just go to this little line that we
have as our orange line. And we will find the center of this element that we have
right here for our hat. Let's just go and make
a little markdown. We will find the center
of it from the center, we will go and create
two lines going up. Firstly, let's just go
toward our left side. We will go to this
little markdown. And from here we will
create a line going up. In that way we will
have a little angle. And when you have
this first line, let's just go over
our right side and we will put it a
little bit further. What we need to do is to
create an angle in that way, when we have these
two diagonal lines, let's just go and make little markdowns that later on we will turn into the ears. Firstly, let's just go over
our left side and we will go to the top line that
we have on our head. We will take a look at
our orange line and we will step a little
bit to the left from it. Let's just make a
little markdown in that way when you have it, we will go on this line down and we will go
toward the left side. Firstly, let's just go and create a little markdown
somewhere here. When you have it,
we will need to do something similar on our right. Let's just go to
this little markdown that we have just
created on the left. And we will create
a curve that will show us where we need
to put our second ear. What we need to do is to
create a curve going through these two little markdowns
when you have it. If you need to adjust
it, go over the top to the edited mode and
adjust it from here. You can make it as
curvy as you like. But pay attention
to the right part, because this line will show
you where you need to put your second ear when
you have this curve. Let's just tap on the screen to get away from our edited mode. And this line will be our
bottom part of the ear. We will need to go over the
top and we will need to find where we want to
put our ear on the top. Now let me just go
over our right part and we will find where we
will start creating our ear. We will go again to
this orange line and we will step a
little bit down. Let's just go to the line
that we have for our head. And we will put a little
mark down like that. Pay attention to this distance between these two elements here. And on our left, our left part should be
just a little bit smaller. Also, just to know where we
need to finish up our ears. Our highest point on the ears, we can just go over
these top lines. And we can create a curve like that going through these
two lines that we have created as a middle part of
our ears and our orange line. Again, if you want to
adjust it in any way, go to the edited mode
and adjust it from here. And when we have this
curve on the top, we are ready to continue and we are ready to go
to our next part, where we are going to be
creating our first sketch.
3. Boy Fox Sketch: Let's begin this part from
some tiny preparations. Firstly, we will go to
our color palettes and we will select a different
color for our skitch. Let's just go and find
the color with the name, Magenta, pink, and
we will tap on it. To select when we did it, we will need to go
to our layers and we will need to prepare
everything here. Firstly, let's just go
and select every layer that belongs to our scheme and we will put it into the group. When the first
layer is selected, we will need to go
to the second layer and we will need to swipe it from left to right when two
of these layers are selected. Let's just go and
select the last one. When all three
layers are selected, we are going to the top right
and we are heating group. Now we have our new group, so let's just go and
select it and we will go and rename
it as Right Folk. To do so, we will need to tap on our group and select
Rename into the list. And now we will need
to make a copy on this group that later on we can use for our
second sketch. So let's just go to this group. When it is selected, we will
swap it from right to left, and we will choose duplicate. Now we have two groups
with a similar name. We don't need it, so let's
just go to the group that we have on the bottom and we
will rename it as Left Folk. Again, we are tapping on
our group and selecting, rename from the list. Now when we have
this group renamed, let's just go and collapse it. We will need to go to
this little V icon near the checkbox and we will
tap on it when we did it, we also will go and
hide the whole group. To do so, we will need to go to this little checkmark and
we will need to tap on it. Now when we have the
second group prepared, we will go to our first group
that we have on the top. We will go and merge all of these layers that we have
for the scheme together. To do so, we will need to go
to the first layer that we have on the top and put
one of our fingers on it. And we will need to put another finger on the bottom layer. And we will need to make a pinch movement with our fingers. When you have this one layer, let's just go name it as
scheme one more time, tapping on the layer
and selecting, rename from the list. When we have just one
layer for our scheme, let's just go and change
the capacity of this layer. We still want to see what's
happening onto our layer, with the scheme, but we don't
want it to be very bright, so we can use it and
create the lines that we are going to create
in for our scheme without any distraction. We will need to go to our
icon near the checkbox. We will tap on it,
and you can see on the top we have
the lighter capacity. We can grab it and we can
move it toward the left. And you can see that we are changing the transparency
of the lines. Find the right amount
that works for you. And when you are done,
let's just tap on our layer with the scheme one more time to close this window. When we have this prepared, let's just go and create
one more layer above. Let's just tap on
the plus I can and create a new layer if you want, you can go and rename
this layer as Sketch. If you don't want to do that, you can keep it as it is right now when we have this new layer. Let's just get
back to our canvas and let just start
making our sketch. We will start by going to the head part and we
will start from here. Let me just go firstly to this line that we
have for our head. And let just repeat it easily. Just go in there and repeating
the lines that we have here if you want to
adjust them in any way. For example, if you want to
make this part that we are creating right now bit more round on the top
or on the bottom, you are welcome to
go and do that. Firstly, let's begin just by going and repeating
this line that we have. When we have this first line, let's just add a bit
of thickness to it. We are creating an element
of a helmet right now. We will need to have
some thickness for it. Let's just go to
the top firstly, and we will go down
the line that we have in the middle and we will make
a little mark down there. Let's just go and put
it somewhere like here. When you have it, we
will just need to go around this whole ship and we will need to
repeat our lines. Let's just go and do that. When we have the ship like that, let's just go and
adjust it just a little bit so it will look
more like a helmet. What we need to do is to go
to our key on the top left, which is our transform
tool on the bottom panel. We will go under work. What we need to have
for our helmet is a little bit flatter shape on the bottom and a little bit
rounded shape on the top. Let's firstly go to the bottom, to the middle part
of our bounding box, and we will drag it up. We will need to
have something like that when you have
the result like that. Let's just go over the top to the nodes that we
have on the sides, and we will drag them a little
bit more toward the side. That way we will
make the whole shape on the top a little
bit more rounded. If you want to play around with the shape in any other way, you are welcome to
go and do that. For example, you can
go to the middle parts on the sides and drag
them to the sides too. So that way you will have even rounder shape play rounds with this whole shape
if you want to. And when you are done ejatinate, let's just go and desalate everything by hitting our arrow. Key one more time. Now when we have this basic
shape for our helmet, let's just go and start
adding our details. Firstly, let's just go over the top and we
will add the ears. We will get back to armbrush and we will go to the
little nodes that we put on our skin and we
will turn them into the ears. Firstly, let's just go over our left side and we will go
to the node that we have, close to our middle line. From this little element, we will go up and
we will connect it with the shape
that we have on top. We are creating a curve, going in that way, you can play around with the curvature
of this element. It's all up to you.
You can make it very rounded or you can
make it pretty flat. When you have the first curve, let's just go and connect
it with the second dot. Let's just go over
the top firstly. And then we will create a
curve going down in that way. Again, if you want to play
around with the shape, you are welcome to
go and do that. If you have some elements
that you want to erase, always go to the eraser tool and erase them straight away. That way you will see if you're doing everything
correctly or if you want to adjust something later when you are satisfied
with your first year. Let's just go and
add the second one. Again, we are going
to the opposite side to this nodes that we
have on our scheme, and we are doing pretty
similar thing here. Let's firstly go to this node
that we have on the top. And again, we will start by creating a curve
and we'll connect it with this little element that we have on our
scheme on the top. Let's create
something like that. Again, if you want to play around with the curvature
of this element, you are welcome to
go and do that. When you have the first curve, let's just connect it with the second node that
we have on the bottom. Let's again go and create
another curve going down, play rounds with the curve, play rounds with everything that you want to
play around with. If you need to erase some
parts, go and erase that. When you have
something like that, let's just go and add the
inner part of the ear. We will go to this ear that is closer to us,
to the right one. And we will need to step a little bit from the lines
that we already have. Basically what we need is to repeat the lines
that we have here, but make them a
little bit smaller. Firstly, let's just go
more toward the left side. We will step a bit from this
line that we have here. We will just repeat the
line and its curvature. When you have
something like that, we will go more toward
the right side. Again, we will
repeat the same line that we have already
onto our canvas. Make this line very parallel to the line that you
have on the right or you can play around
with the shape when you have this inner part, let's just go and add
some fluffy elements. We will go to the left part
of this new shape that we have just created and we will add a few
lines in that way. Let's just go to the left and we will create something
in that way. If you want to play
around with the shape, you are always welcome to go and do that when you have the ear. Let's just work onto our helmet. We will go closer to the ears and we will add some
additional elements here. Let's firstly go to this ear
that we have on our right, and we will add
some details that will be connecting our
ears with the helmet. It is ear tight and it is safe for our foxes
to go to the space. Let's just go and create
something in that way. We are going to one
of the sides and creating a little
element in that way. If you want to play
around with this shape, you are welcome to go and do that when you have
the first detail. Let's just go over
the opposite side and let's create another
detail the same way. Let's connect it with the helmet when we have it on one ear. Let's just do the same
with the second ear. When you have the details on, let's just grab an eraser tool and we will erase the
lines that we don't need. And when we are done
with these details, let's just go and continue
working onto our helmet. Firstly, we will go
over our left side and we will add a
different line there. Let's just go to this element
that we have right here. And from it we will go
down with a little dent. When we have the dent like that, let's just go down and let's repeat the line that we
already have right here. We will connect it with
our sheep on the right. And when we did it,
we will just grab an eraser to and we will erase the lines
that we don't need. If you want to adjust your
sheep in any other way, you are welcome to go and do that when you are ready
with the bottom element. Let's just go over
our right side. We will add a little headphone. What we need to do, firstly, is to go a little bit down from this element that we have
created on the right. And we will need to go and
create something in that way. We are stepping a little
bit beyond the frames of our helmet and we will start by creating a shape of the
rounded rich tinga. Try to make the line
that you have on the right parallel to the line that you
have on your helmet. When you have
something like that. We will just go down and we will repeat the same element
that we have right here, but we will add it
onto our right. We will need to go to
this little intersection that we have between
the new elements. Then we will go and create a little dent when you
have something like that, let's just grab an
eraser tool and we will erase all the lines
that we don't need. Now let's just connect
this element that we have for our headphone with the
whole helmet that we have. Let's just go to
this line that we have on the left
on our headphone, and we will just connect it with the helmet when you
have it in that way. Let's just go and erase the
lines that we don't need. Now let's just take a look
at our illustration from the distance and decide whether we want to
adjust some parts. For example, we can go
to this little part on our headphone that we have on the top right and we can
make it more round it. Play around with the ship if
you want to and connect it nicely with your helmet when you have
something like that. Let's just go inside the ship and let's create an
actual headphone. Firstly, we will go more
toward the bottom part on this element and we will create another little rounded rectinga just make the lines parallel to the lines that
you already have onto your canvas when you have this little
shape on the bottom. Let's just go to
the top and we will create a line going
up in that way. Again, we are just repeating
the lines that we already have and we are making
them parallel to them. If you need to erase some parts, grab an eraser to and erase the parts
that you don't need. Now, when we have this
line over our top, let's just go and create
a little thickness. We will again, go to this
line and we will repeat it, but we will go a
little bit down. When you have
something like that, we can go over the bottom
part on this letter G, and we can add a little
element on the bottom two later on we can recolor it differently and it
will look very nice. Now when we have
something like that, let's just go inside this whole shape that
we have and we will add a little herd or element
that you want to add here. When you are ready
with the new elements, let's just go underneath
the shape and we will add a little line that will
represent that it has some cord. Let's just go more
toward the right side on the bottom element and we will create a little
element in that way. Now when you have it, let's just go and continue
creating the line going down. Later on we will recolor
these parts differently, so you will see that it
is more like a cord and not just a single
line that we have right now when we have
something like that. Let's just go and
add one more detail underneath our little
shape for our headphone. Let's just go and
create a little element in that way when you have it, let's just go
inside and let just shade it when we have
this new element. Let me just go and work more onto the bottom
part of our helmet. We have this little
dance on our left. Let me just go and start
creating the line, going through the whole
shape of our helmet. And we will just connect
it with the shape on our right when you
have it in that way. Let's just go and add
some thickness to it. Again, you can decide
whether you want to go on top of this
element or underneath. And later on just
imagine that it will be recolored
in a different way. Let's just go and create a
parallel line like that. If you want, you can go inside this element and
you can shade it. You also can decide
whether you want to connect the ship
with other ships, or if you want to
end it somewhere, not connecting it
with other ships. If you have some elements
that you want to erase, you're welcome to
go and do that. Now when we have the
helmet like that, let's just go along the
whole ship over the top. And we will add
another line here. We will go straightly to
the middle part between these two elements
and we will just go and create another
parallel line. Let's just go and
create it in that way, you can make it solid,
or if you want, you can add some
additional elements, maybe some hearts,
maybe some dots, maybe something in that way. If you want to make it dashed, you are welcome to
go and do it too. When you are done
with this part, we are mostly done
with our helmet. Let's just go and add the facial features
and the actual fees. Firstly, let's just go
over our left side and we will need to make a little dance that will represent the fees. Let's just go and create
something in that way. We will go to this little
intersection right here between our line that
we have on our Skage. And on our scheme, we will go down to this line and we will create a
dance in that way. When we have the dance, if you take a look
at this line that we have on our scheme, this one, the green one, we will know that this line represents
the center of our feet. We will firstly go to this line, and we will go more
toward the center of it. You can go and make a little
markdown that will repeat the same markdown that we
have on our orange line. And we will go down from it and we will put
another mark down there. So let me just go and
put it somewhere here. We can just go and raise
the first markdown. And then we will go and
we will start creating a little element on the bottom that will represent
some kind of a muzzle. Now when we have this
little mark down, it will be easier
for us to go there and create a little
shape of the allpse. In that way, it will
be easier for us to connect it with our
dents on the left and we will know how to
continue it on the right to create a whole muzzle when
we have this little element. Let's just go to this dent
that we have on our left. And we will go with
the curve down. Then we'll connect it
with our little shape that we have just created,
our additional element. Then we will go again to the bottom part and we will create another curve going down. In that way, basically we are
creating a very wavy line. When we have this
line going down, we will need to
go up and we will need to connect it with
the ship on the right. What we need to end up is
something like that if you need to erase some parts or if you need to
adjust some element, you are welcome to
go and do that. If you want to make
not so wavy line, you are welcome to do it too When you are done
with this element. Let's just go strictly to the additional element that
we have in the middle, our Alps, and we will start
adding the facial features. Firstly, we will
go to the top of this element and we
will add a little goes, it will be positioned straightly
onto this line that we have on our scheme and on
the top of this element, let's just go and create
a very rounded triangle. In that way, as we are creating our shape in some a perspective, we will need to have
the shape on the nose a little bit bigger on our right
rather than on the left. Make sure that the shape of
the nose is a little bit bigger on the right when
you have the needed shape. Let's just go inside
and let's shade it. When you have
something like that, let's just go underneath it and let's start adding a
little mouth here. What we need to do is to add
the elements in that way. We are going a
little bit down from the nose and we are going a little bit more toward
the right side. What we need to do is to
create the line in that way. If you want to experiment and add a different shape
for your mouth, you are welcome
to go and do that when you have this first half
of the circle on the left. Let's just go and create a
similar shape on our right. Again on the right, we are making it just
a little bit bigger. If you want, you can make these elements on the side
going up in that way. When you have it, we will
go and just repeat the line that we have for the additional
elements of our ellipse. When you have
something like that, if you want to play
around with the ship, you're welcome to
go and do that. When you are ready
with the basic ship, let's just go to the left and we will element in that way. When we have this
little new line, let's just go to the ship that we have on the
left and we will just go and sheet it if you have some elements that
you want to erase, for example, the top
parts of this ellipse, let's just go and erase them. If you want to adjust
your ship in any way. For example, make it
smaller or maybe rotate it, We can go to our S ribbon
icon over the top left. Let's just tap on it. And on the bottom panel we will select free hand methods if you want to adjust the
mouth, for example. Let's just go around
with this method. And we will need to loop the ship and select
only this element that we want to adjust when only this
element is selected. We will go to our
transform tool, which is our arrow
key on the top left, on the bottom panel. Let's start with uniform method. You can see that we
have the bounding box, and if you want to make
your element smaller, you will go to one
of the nodes and you will drag it to
make it smaller. If you want to
rotate your shape, you will go to this
green node over the top. You will hold your apple
pencil there and you will make a circular movement with your apple pencil while
you are holding it up. If you want to move your shape, hold your apple pencil at some blank space and move
the shape to the needed. Please take a look
at your illustration from the distance and
adjust it to your lichen. If you want to adjust it even more, you know
what you need to do. You will need to go under
work and adjust it from here. Spend some time
here if you want to adjust your sheep or
if you are satisfied. Let's just go and continue
adding our details. Firstly, when we are
done with our mouth, let's just go and add additional
elements as the eyes. We will go firstly over our
right parts and we will go a little bit down from this little markdown that
we have on our skin. And what we need to do is to add a little tilted ellipse here. Let's just go and
create it in that way. You can hold your apple
pencil at the end of your line and adjust
it to your lacking. You want to adjust it even more? Go to the editing
mode over the top. Find the placement
that you like. You can overlap your eye with a little muzzle
on the bottom. You can play around with the
thickness of this element. You can make it very around it, or you can make it a
little bit more narrow. It's all up to you if you want to play around with the
size of this element. Again, go and play around
and find what works for you. When you are done,
let's just go away from our editing mode and let's
adjust the shape a little bit. We will go to the bottom
and we will try to make some kind of a drop shape
rather than we have right now, just a simple ellipse. Let me just go and create
a shape in that way, just going down and creating something similar to the
shape of our helmet. The general shape on
the bottom will be a little bit wider
than it is on the top. If you need to go and
erase some parts, you are welcome
to grab and raise to and erase the parts
that you don't need. When we are done with
the general shape, let's just get back to our
brush and we will go to the bottom part of our eye and
we will add another shape. In that way, we are adding some half of the circle
or half of the ellipse. If you want. You can hold
your line at the end and you can adjust it by going to the editing mode
if you need to. When you have
something like that, we will go to the
opposite side and we will try to create
something similar here. But this time we will need to make it a little
bit narrower, and we will need to make it
just a little bit smaller. Firstly, we are going to this dance that we
have onto our muzzle. Again, we are starting by creating a shape of the ellipse. Hold it at the end to go to
the editing mode later on. Adjust the tilt if you need to, and adjust it from
the editing mode. Again, what we need to end up is something like that when
you have a similar shape, let's just get away
from the editing mode. Let's just go to the
bottom part and we will adjust it the same way as
we did with our right eye. Again, we are going to the bottom of the
elements and we are making it a little bit more
wider than it is on the top. When you are ready,
let's just grab an eraser two and we will erase the lines
that we don't need, adjust the shape
if you need two. And when you are satisfied
with the general shape, let's just go over the
bottom part again. We will add a similar shape
to what we have on our right. Go into the bottom and add in this half of the circle
or half of the Alps. When we are ready with the eyes, let's just go a
little bit underneath them and we will add
little cheeks there. We will first go over our right. We will add just a
little element in that way when you
have it on the right, let's just go to the left. And we will add something
similar there too. Now when we have these elements, let's just go to the
top of our eyes. We will step a
little bit from them and we will add little eyebrows. Let's just go firstly
to our right eye, and we will go a little bit higher and we will add
an element in that way. We are just adding
little alps in that way. If you want to go and add maybe not an Alps but a circle
or any other shape, you are welcome to go and do that when we have
it on our right. Let's just do the
same on the left, again going a little
bit higher than we have our eye adding
a similar shape. When we have
something like that, we are ready with our fees. Let's just go and start
adding our body elements. Firstly, let's just go
and add our main body. We will go to this element that we have as
our guiding line, going through the center. And we will start by creating a little element on our neck. What we need to do is to go and create something
in that way. Firstly, go into this
little line that we have on our left,
the green one. And then we will go and
create another curve going down in that way when we
have the neck elements. Later on we will go and
add the whole body. What we need to do is to go
to this intersection between our green line and this line that we have just
created on our left. And we will go and create
a dance going in that way. We are starting to create
this dance with the curve, and then we will go down with another curve and we will
start creating a leg here. Again, you can play around with the curvature of these elements, find what works for
you when you are done. Let's just go and continue
adding the lines on our left. When we have this first curve, let's just go and add
a little arm here. We will go to this
little element that we have for our guiding
line to the arm. Firstly, we will go up and we will create a little element. In that way, we
are again creating a little ellipse and this Alps will add some
thickness to our arm. When we have the shape
for the allopse, let's just go down
and create a curve. And we will end it at the end of this line that
we have on our skin. Again, you can play around with the thickness
of this element. You can play around with the
curvature of this element. It's all up to you when you have this first
curve on the top. Let's just go to the
bottom and we will create a curve and
connect it with the body. Connect it nicely in that way. And also make a nice
smooth connection on the top right here
where you have a shoulder. Now we don't need the
additional elips that we have. Let's just grab our eraser
tool and we will erase these lines that we don't need when we have the first arm. Let's just go and add some
additional elements here. Firstly, we will go
to the tip of it and we will add two
lines going in that way. Just step a little bit from the bottom and create
two curves like that. If you want, you can
go and shade them. When you have this
first element, let's just go more toward
the top of the arm. And we will add
another curve there. We will go with
the opposite shape when we have these
two parallel lines. Again, if you want,
you can go inside them and you can
shape them also, Let's just go to the tip of our arm and let just add
two lines like that. If you don't want to add them, you are welcome not to. If you want to add more
than two lines again, you are welcome to add as
many lines as you want. Now when we have our first arm, let just go and continue
creating our leg. What we need to do is to go and continue creating this line
that we have on the left. And then on the bottom we will create another curve
going in that way. When we have this little
curve on the bottom, we will go up with
another line like that. When you have it, we
will need to finish up the whole shape by creating
a little bomb element. Let's just go and
create it in that way. When we have
something like that, let's just go and continue
creating the leg. We will go to this line that we have as our middle
line, the green one. And we will just
go and repeat it. Just stepping a little
bit from it to the right. Let's just have the
line in that way. And then we will do something similar to what we
have on our left. Then when we have this
first little curve, we will go down with a
little curve in that way. Then we will continue creating a similar shape to what
we have on our left. Let's just go up with
the curve like that. And then we will create another curve by creating
a little bump elements. If you want to work on the
shape on some other way, you are welcome to
go and do that. Just spend some time there and create the legs
that you like. If you need to erase some parts, you are welcome to go and erase these little parts when you
are satisfied with your legs. Let's just go and add
some costume elements. Let's firstly go over our
left side and we will go a little bit lower than
we have this line here. Let's just go and create a
curve going down in that way. When you have it in that way, let's just go to this leg
that we have on the right. And we will just continue
creating this curve, but we will firstly
go a little bit higher than we have
the end on this line, we will go and create another
curve going in that way. We also will go to
this little line that we have for
our leg on the top, and we will erase
it just a little bit when we have
something like that. Let's just go and repeat this curve that we
have on our scheme. We will go either a
little bit higher than we have it on our scheme
or a little bit lower. It's all up to
you. Let's just go and create a curve
going in that way. When we have it in that way, let's just go and
add another arm. Firstly, we will go to this line that we
have on our scheme. We will need to go and create another
element in that way. Let's just go to this line, and we will start by
creating another ellipse. We will go to this line
and create it in that way. When you have it,
we will go over the top of it and we will
start creating our arm. We're just going
there and repeating the line that we have
on our Guidinline. We also need to take a look
at our arm on the left, because we will need to create something similar on the right, when you have this first
line over our right, let connect the
shape by going to the bottom of it and again
creating another curve there. Then we will go up
and we will continue making the shape by
creating another curve. If you need to adjust
the shape to make it similar to the shape that
you have on the left, you are welcome to
go and do that. Now when we have
the general shape, we will go a little
bit underneath it and we will continue
creating our elopse. Let us create a little
cuts in our costume, that later on we will
color differently. Now when we have
this little dance, let us go to the arm, and again, we will add similar
additional elements as we have them on our left one. Let's firstly go to the tip and we will create
two lines like that when you have them go inside of them and
let's shade them. Now when you have
this first curve, let's just go over the top. And let's create a
curve going up in that way we will go and
shade this whole area. Now what we need to do is
to end up our body parts, let's just go to
the bomb elements. And we will just
go up and continue creating our shape
when we have it. In that way, we are mostly
done with the costume. Now let's just go to the back and let's add
additional element here. We will have some ear element here or maybe some parachute. Let's just go and add a
few little lines like that going to the right and we are creating a few
bombs in that way. When we have them in that way, let's just go and create a
little curve in that way. When we're already
with this element, let's just go and add the tail. What we need to do is to
go to the right parts and we will start creating our tail by going
more toward the leg. Let's firstly go and create a little guiding line
that will help us to build up the til we will
go to the bomb elements. And from here we
will just go and create a little line
going in that way. When we have this guide in line, let's just go more toward
the bottom part of the leg. And we will just go and start creating a ship
going in that way. When you have this first
curve on the bottom, you can play runs with the ship. By the way, we will
just go over the top of our ship somewhere to the
middle part of our hands. And we will just go there
and create another curve. Going in that way, we are just going high with
this little curve. And then when we have
these two elements, let's just go and connect them. Let's create something
in that way. Play runs with the shape. If you need to, if you
need to erase some parts, go and erase them. Take a look at your illustration from the distance
and decide whether you want to adjust something or if you are satisfied with
how it is right now. When you're satisfied
with everything that you have onto your
illustration right now, let's just go and
add more details. Firstly, let's just
go to the legs, and let's add additional
elements to our costume. Firstly, we will go to the
bottom parts, and again, we will add similar elements
to what we have on our arms. Let's just go and create two
curves going in that way. When you have it, let's just
go inside the shape and let just had it when
you have it on one leg, let's just go to
the opposite one. And let's add a
similar element here. Again, when you
have this element, let's just go inside
of it and let's just shade it when you have it. Let's just go over
one of the legs, for example, to the right one. And let's add another
element here. Let's just go to the top of it. And let's create a curve
going in that way. If you want, you can go and
add some thickness to it. Later on we will recolor
it differently and it will have some additional
elements onto the questum. If you want to shade some parts, you are welcome to
go and do that. If you want to adjust
these lines in any way, you are welcome to
go and do that too. When you are ready
with this element, let's just go and add some additional elements
to our little pants. Let's just go to the sides. Firstly, let's add
something similar to the elements that we have
on the top of our helmet. Step a little bit
from this side and let's create a little
rectangular shape. If you want, you can go and
make the line that you have on your left similar to
what you have on your side. But if you don't
want to do that, you are welcome not to. When you have this
first element, let's just go to
the opposite side. And let's create a
similar element here too. Let's just go to the middle
part of our leg, right here. Let's just add a
similar element. Want to add different elements? You are welcome to go and add them when you have
these two elements. Let's just grab
an eraser two and let's erase these
elements in sight. Take a look at
your illustration. And if you want to
adjust some parts, go and adjust them. For example, I
would like to move this element that we have
on our pants on the left, a little bit more
toward the left. Let's just go and do that. We can do it manually. We can just erase this part, or we can just go to our
ribbon icon over the top left. Use the free hand method, select this little
part that we want to adjust and then go to
the transform tool. Use uniform method and just move the shape toward
the left side, the place where we
want to position it. If you want to rotate it, go to the green nodes. If you want to make it smaller, go to one of the
nodes on the sites. Again, take a look
at your illustration from the distance
and decide whether you want to adjust
something or if you are satisfied with how it looks. Right now, when
you are satisfied, let's just deselect
everything by hitting our first tool that we selected. It was our ribbon on. Now let's just go and manually adjust the shape a
little bit more. We will grab the eraser tool and erase the lines
that we don't need. And also we will just go and
end the lines that we need. Let's just go and make these
lines that we had before. Now, when we are done
with these elements, let's just go and add
more additional elements. For example, we can go
to the Spence elements and we can add little
additional elements here too. You can play around and
create something that you like or you can repeat what you will see onto your screen. You can see that we are adding these additional elements
in accordance with the green line that we have gone through the middle part of
the whole illustration. That way we will
just know that we are putting them
on the right part. When you have these
little elements or any other elements
that you are adding, let's just go and add a little element here on the
middle part of our body. Let's just go and
connect our pants with this element that we have on the top with a little
curve like that. When you have it, we
will step a little bit toward the side and we will
add some thickness to it. When we have this element, let's just go and add a few
more additional elements. For example, let's just go and add additional elements
to the questume. For example, let's just go
and add a little pocket. Let's just go over
our left side. We will go a little
bit higher than we have our little
element on the pants. And let's just go and create a little pocket
element like that.
4. Girl Fox Sketch: Let's start working
onto our second sketch. Firstly, by going to our layers. And we will go and rename
this layer with the sketch. Let's just go to our
layer number seven. We will tap on it
and we will choose rename from the list
when we did it. What we need to do is to make this illustration
a little bit smaller because we
will need to have some free space on our left. What we need to do is to go
to our group with right Fox. And when we did it, we will need also to go to our
left Fox group. And we will need
to select it too. When the first
group is selected, we are going to the second one. And we are swiping
it from left to right when everything
is selected. Here we are going to our
arrow key on the top left. We are using uniform method
and we will go to one of the nodes that we have on the top and we
will drag it down. Find the size that you like, position it a little bit
more toward the right side. You will have an
equal amount of space on your left when you have
the size that you like, let's just go and
deslect everything by hitting our arrow
key one more time. When we are ready with adjusting the size
of this element, we have two options of how we can work onto our second sketch. We can go to our group that
we have on the bottom. We can open it and we can
start all over again by creating the same
elements that we have already onto our sketch. Or we can just go and
copy this sage that we already have and adjust
it just a little bit. We can go to this group and
we can rename it as scheme. And you can use it for
creating your own elements. For example, let's
just go and do that. We will tap on the group, we will rename it as Scheme. If you want to create
your own folks, you will use this scheme. But if you want to adjust the first sage that
we already have, we will just go and do that. Let's first go to this group that we have on the top right. Folks swipe it from right to left and we
will choose duplicate. We will have everything that we have on the
group on the right, and we will need to
do the following. We will need to go again to
our air key on the top left. And we will go to
the bottom panel. And we will choose
flip horizontal. When you did it, we will just go and put these elements onto our left side to make sure that we are putting
it on the same line. We will do one more thing. We will go to the snapping, and when you open the settings, we will need to go
again to snapping. And we will need to toggle
it when you did it. If we go back to our canvas and if we hold our apple pencil, and if we start to
move it to the left, you will see that we are
following this blue line. When you are at this blue line, you will know that you are right in the center and you are putting your second
illustration on the same line that you
have your first one on. Let's position it
on our left side. And when you are satisfied
with everything here, let's just tap on our
key one more time to deselect everything. Now let's just go and
work onto our scag. We will just go and adjust
some details if you want. We can go firstly
to our layers and we can go and turn on our
layer with this scheme, if you need these
additional lines that you want to
follow later on. You are welcome to go
and create the elements right here and then turn them into the
different elements. What we are going to be changing is our little mouth element. We will change our ears, we will change one of the legs, and also we will
change the tail. Firstly, let's just go
to our scheme layer. We will turn off our
layer with this sage, and we will just adjust everything right here
onto this layer. When we are in the scheme layer, we will go again to
our color palettes. We will select our green color. And let's just go and start adding additional
lines to our scheme. Firstly, let's just go back
to our eraser tool and we will start by adding
a new line to our leg. Let's firstly go and
erase this leg that we have on our right
when you did it. We will grab our brush
one more time and we will create a different
curve for this lack. Firstly, let's just
go a little bit more toward the center
of this right part. We will make a little
markdown from this markdown. We will go and create
a curve in that way. As always, you can play
around with this element. You can make it more curvy, or if you want, you can just
go with another option. You can go in a
different direction, or you can play around
with these elements. When you have this curve, let's just go over
the top and let's adjust the curves for our ears. What we need to do,
firstly, is to again, go to our eraser tool and erase these lines that we are using for our actual ears right now. Firstly, we will go to this line that we have in the middle. We will step just a little
bit to the right from it, and we will just repeat
the same line here. Let's just go and create
something like that. When you have this line, let's just go over our left side and let's create another ear. Firstly, we will go to this
line that we have right here. From this line, we will go again with the
curve to the left. This time we are creating
a little bit smaller ears. When you have these two lines, let's just get back
to our layers and we will hide our layer
with this sketch. Now what we need to do is to go to our layer
with this sketch, make sure that you
are on this layer. When you are ready, we will go back to our color
palettes and we will select the
same color that we were using for our first skitch. This was magenta, pink. When we have this new color, we will get back to
our eraser tool and we will go and erase these ears
that we have on the top. You can also go and erase
these little elements that you have on the helmet because we will work on
them later on too. Let's just go to the
opposite side and erase the second ear to now. When we are done
erasing these elements, let's just go and
start adding our ears. Firstly, let's just go
over the top more toward the right side and we will
create an ear in that way. We will go to this
little element that we have on our helmet and we will create a little
curve going up to this line that we
have on our skin. When you have it,
we will go toward the right side and we will create just a little
ear like that. As always, you can play
around with the sheep, you can play around with
the size of this element. You can make a very, very small ear or a very big one.
It's all up to you. Take a look at your
illustration from the distance and make sure that you don't
want to adjust anything. Or if you want to
adjust some parts, you are welcome to
go and do that. If you have some lines
that you need to erase, grab and eraser tool
and erase them. When you have the ear, let's just go to the side and let's add this little element that
we had before on our helmet. Just create a little element and connect it with the ear
and with the helmet. When you are done on your right, let's just go to
the left and let's create another ear again. Let's just go and start
from the top on the right. And we will create a curve. And connect it with
this little curve that we have on our skin. As always, you can
play around with the size and the
curvature of the element. When you have the first curve, let's just go to the bottom and let's connect it
with our helmet. We will go again and
create another curve. When we have
something like that, always take a look at your illustration from the distance. Decide whether you want to
adjust some parts or not. If you are satisfied
with everything here, we will just go to
this ear that we have on our left and we will add
this little inner part here. But this time, let
just go more toward the side and we will just
create this fluffy elements. We will just go to
the bottom left. And from here we will create this little element in that way, if you want, you can go
to the top of it and you can create a little line
going up in that way. If you have some places
that you want to erase, grab an eraser to
and erase them. Now, when we are
done with the ears, let's just go to the leg
that we have on our right. Again, we will grab an eraser
to and we will erase it. Now when you are
done with this task, let's just go and continue
creating the curve. But now we are going
to be following this new line that we
have on our scheme. Again, going to
this Tammy element. And from here, going with
a very smooth curve down. We are basically repeating the same leg that we had before, but we are moving
it a little bit more toward the
center of the body. Let's just go and
create this big curve. And then we will
just end it up with another curve going
inside the body. When you have something
like that, if you want, you can go and create a
little dance right here. It will be something similar to what we have on
our second leg. If you need to erase some parts, grab an eraser two
and erase them. When we have
something like that, we are ready to go and add
our additional elements. Firstly, if you have this
little dance on the left, let's just go a
little bit above it. And let's create
the curve that will represent the bottom
part of our pants. When you have the first curve, go to the top of it, go a little bit above it, and create another
curve when you have it, let's just go inside and
let's shade it again. Take a look at your
illustration from the distance. Decide whether you want
to adjust it or not and when you are satisfied
with mostly everything here, let's just go grab our Rasor two and we will change the tail. Let's again grab as to and raise everything that we
have for the tail right now. Then we will go and
grab our brush and we will firstly go and
create a guiding line. Firstly, let's just go
to the middle part of the bomb and we will make
a little markdown here. From this little mark down, we will go up with
the curve like that. When you have this guiding line, let's just go and start
turning it into the til. Firstly, we will go to
the bottom and again we will go with some
fluffy elements here. Let's just go and
create a few of them. We are going up with
our guiding line, and we are creating some
curves in that way. When you have the
bottom parts done, let's just go to the top and let's create something
in that way. Firstly, we will go
to the arm element. From the arm, we will go
with the curve like that. When you have this curve, let's just go to the top. And let's create another line that will connect
two parts together. You can make it very pointy, or if you want, you
can make it curvy. You can play around with the tail elements to your liking, and find what works for
you when you are done. Let's just grab our
eraser tool and we will erase the lines
that we don't need. Now when we are done, let's just go to the mouth and we will just erase
the bottom part. If you need to adjust it
manually with your brush, you are welcome to go and
do that when we are done. Let's just get back
to our layers and we will hide our layer
with the scheme. We will take a look at our second illustration
from the distance, and we will need to
decide whether you want to adjust
some parts or not. If you want to
adjust some parts, you are welcome to
go to the magic 12, which is our adjustments. Go to the liquefy and
adjust it from here. For example, let's just go
and adjust our new leg. We will use the push option and we will make it less thick. If you want to adjust
some other details, you are welcome to
go and do that. Just spend some time
here and find what works for you when we have the
result that we like. Let's just go and put our illustrations more
toward the center. Firstly, let's just
go to our layers and we will go to our group
that we have on the top. We will rename it as left fox. We are typing on the
layer and we are choosing rename from the list
when we did it. Let's just go and select
the second group. We are going to our group with Right Fox and we
are swiping it from left to right when we have
both of these groups selected. Let's just go to
our transform tool which we have on our top left. And we will use uniform method. If the snapping is not on, we will go to snapping and
we will togle it here in the settinging to when
we have the snapping on. Let's just go to our canvas. And let's just hold our apple
pencil at some blank space. And we will need to find this orange line that is
going from top to the botta. Find the position
that works for you. If you want to put
them straightly to the middle part
of your canvas, you can go and find this
horizontal orange line to when you found the
position that you like. Let's just go and
desalect everything by hitting our arrow
key one more time. Now when we are ready, let's just go and add one
more detail to our left fox. We will just go to our layers. We will go to layer
with this sketch. We will go to the
top left part and we will add a little
beautification here. For example, you can go with some flower or maybe some star. Let's just go and edit
here very easily. Let's just go with the star. We will just go there
and create it manually. If it's easier for you, you can go and create one
more layer above your lay with this sage and create your detail
on this layer. It might be easier for you later on to position
this element more on your liking and also to erase the parts
that you don't need. Let's just go and
create a new layer. And we will go and create
a little star here. If it's easier for
you, you can go and start creating the
star in that way. And then maybe go to these
corners and make them solved. Or also you can
just go and start creating the star.
Going in that way. Hold your apple
pencil at the end of the line when
you are doing it. In that way, you can go then to the editing mode and adjust
your star from here. Let's just spend some time and let's create a better star. When we are satisfied
with this shape, let's just go away
from the editing mode. So let's just tap on
the screen either with one of our fingers or
with our apple pencil. And we will just go
to these corners. And let's just go
and make them soft. Let's just go and
create the curves instead of the very
straight corners. When you are ready,
let's just grab an eraser tool and we will erase the parts
that we don't need. When we are done with this task, let's just go and position these elements a little bit
more toward the top and maybe make it a
little bit bigger as we have it on
a separate layer. Let's just straightly go to our arrow key on the top left. We will use uniform
method and we will go and adjust our
start to our liking. For example, let's
just go and drag it a little bit toward the
side to make it bigger. And also we will just put it
more toward the top part. If you want to rotate it, go to the green note over the top and rotate it from here, find the position and
the size that you like. And when you're satisfied, let's just go and deslate everything by heating
our arrow key. Now when we are done, let's just get back
to our layers. And we will go to our
layer with this cache. We will grab our eraser to, and we will erase these
lines that we don't need. When we are done,
we will get back to our layers and we will merge
these two layers together. To do so, we will need to
go to the layer on the top. We will need to tap on it and we will need to choose Merge down. Now we are done
with our sketches, mainly with our elements here, but also let's
just go and create a few details going
around our little foxes. Let's just go and
create one more layer. Either in the group with the left fox or
with the right fox. We will just go and create one more layer and we will
rename it miscellaneous. Now, onto this layer, let's just go to the blank space that we have around our foxes, and let's just go
and add some stars, maybe some sparkles,
maybe some dots. Let's just go and put some
elements to this blank space. If you have the element that
you want to make a copy of, you can just go to the
ribbon icon on the top left. Go to the free hand method, select this element, go around. Only select the element
that you want to copy when you have
it on your screen, we will just need
to go and swipe with three fingers from
top to the bottom. You will see the window
with copy and paste. And the first thing that
we'll need to do here is to tap on P. When we did it, we will need to do
it one more time. So swiping from
top to the bottom, and again, invoking our
copy and paste menu. Now we need to go to Paste, and we will just tap
on it when we did it. If you go to your layers, you will see that
you have a new layer with inserted image. That way we can just go and
create a few more layers. We can adjust this element and then later on
when it's time, we can just go and merge all
of these layers together. When you have the
copy of this element, we will need to go to our key on the top left uniform method. And we will just go and put this new element to
some different please. If you want to adjust it, go and adjust it when you
already adjust in it. If you want, you can
go to your layers. If you want to have
the same element, you can just swipe your
layer from right to left and choose Duplicate.
You will have a copy. And again, you
will need to go to your key on the top left. When you have the second
layer with the same element, let's just grab it and let's just move it toward
the opposite side, adjusted if you need to. And let's just go and add a few more elements like this or maybe some other elements if you want to use the copy
and paste method, You're welcome to do it if
you want to do it manually. Again, you're welcome
to go and do that. If you need to merge
the layers again, we are going to the layer
that we have on the top, we are tapping it and we
are choosing merge down. When you are satisfied with
the miscellaneous elements, let's just go to our next part where we are starting
to aid in the colors.
5. Basic Colors: Let's tatis fi from
Some Time Preparations. Firstly, we will go to our brush library and we
will change the brush. We are going to the
calligraphy folder and we will choose
more a line brush. While we are still here
into our brush library, let's just go and adjust our
brush just a little bit. We want all of our
lines and all of our shapes to be very smooth. We will just go to this brush. We will tap on it and we'll
go inside the brush studio. We will go under
stabilization under our left and we will go
and find streamline. The streamline has
the option amount and if we have this amount
set at very low amounts, we can go to the drone path
and we can try it out. You can see that we are creating a line and we have a
lot of control over it, but our line is quite jagged. If we want it to be very smooth, we will need to go to
this option amount and we will need to adjust it. Try out onto your drawing pad. Try out at maximum. If you don't like how it moves, you are always welcome to
go and adjust the tool. Find the amount that
works for you and when you are satisfied
with your result, let's just go and tap
down over our top right. Of course, if you don't
want to use this option, you are welcome not to. Now, when we have our brush set, let's just go and work onto
our sketch just a little bit. Firstly, we will be creating
the illustration on our right because we don't have too many elements that
need to be adjusted. We will just go and start adding the colors to one of
our foxes, for example. Let's just go to the right. When we are going to the right, first thing that we will
need to do is to go and adjust the capacity of our
layer with the sketch. Let's just go to our
group with right Fox. We will go to our layer
with the sketch and we will go to our icon into this window. We will go to the
Apace slider and we will adjust the
capacity to our lichen. If you want, you can straightway go to your second
sketch layer and adjust the capacity to some degree that is suitable
to your illustration. You can just go to the icon on your sketch on the left fox, and adjust the
capacity from here. Now when we are done
with our capacity, let's just go to our
group with right Fox. And we will need to
create a new layer. We will need to put this
layer underneath our layer. With this age we can just do
it in a few different ways. We can go and create
a new layer from Ar Lier with this cage and
then drag it underneath it. We can just go to Ar lier
with the scheme from Arly with the scheme create a new layer and
equally positioned, Rightly, what we need to do
is to tap on our plus icon. And we will be creating different elements
on different layers. Let's just start from our top and we will be working
onto our head. Let's just go and rename
this layer as Head. Now when we have our new layer, when we have our new brush, all that we need
to do is to go to our color palette and select
one of these orange colors. For example, let's just go with this red orange that is second
color in our first role. When we have it, we will
just go and we will start recreating the heat that
we have on our sketch. Let's just go and do that. Our main goal here is to
create the closed lines. And that means that
we don't need to have any gaps
between our outlines because in that way it
will be problematic for us to drag and drop the
color inside the shape. When we have everything set, let's just go and start
recreating the shape of the heat. If you are going a little
bit beyond the frames and if you are overlapping the shape
of the helmet, it's okay. Later on we will put our helmet elements
above, it won't be seen. Now let's just go and
create our outlines. You can use all the options
that we used before. If you need to, you can hold your apple pencil at
the end of the line, snap it to a better shape, and go to the edged
mode on the top. Adjust your lines in that way, and when you are
done, let's just continue creating
the closed outlines. When you have this outline, let's just drag and
drop the color inside. Now when we have the shape, let's just go and create this bottom element where
we have our little bazzle. What we need to do is to go
firstly and change the color. Let's just go either with the
beach or off white color. Select one of these
colors and then we will need to go and create
this little shape. And we don't want to go beyond the frames of the shape that we already have
onto this layer. Let's just do it in that way. We will go to our layers and we will go to our layer
with the heat. We will tap on it, and we
will choose alpha lock. When you do that,
you will see that now on your layer with the hat, you have the checkerboard
around your element. That's exactly what we need. If you now go to your layer and if you start creating
the elements here, you will see that you
are aiding the new color only on the existing areas
that you have onto this layer. That's exactly what we need. And in that way, let's
just go and create the bottom element the
same way as before. We will just go and start by creating the outline work more onto the elements that will be seen onto your
final illustration. If you have some little
parts that will be hidden, don't worry if you have some
little mistakes there or maybe some little elements that you want to redo, it's okay. When we have this outline, let us go and increase
the size of our brush. Manually, we will go
and recolor this piece. When you are done, let just go and decrease the
size of our brush. And then we will go back
to our color palettes and we will select the
color with the name white. With this color, we will
go and add the color to our eyebrows and also to these little elements that
we have for our cheeks. Let's just go and recreate these little elements
the same way as before. We are starting with the
outlines and then we will go manually and recolor
the rest of the areas. When you are done, let's
just go and start adding the facial features and we will do it on a separate layer. Let's just get back to
our layers and we will create one more layer above
our layer with the head. And we will rename it
as facial features. When we have the two layers that will belong to our color part, let's just go select them
and we will group them. We will rename this
new group as Color. When we are down,
we will get back to our facial features layer and then we will go and
select a different color. Let just go with this
dark purple color. And with this color,
we will go and recolor our eyes again. The same way as before. We are creating the outlines and then dragging and dropping
the color inside. If you need to
adjust some parts, you are always welcome to
grab an eraser two and erase the parts that you don't need or manually add the
details that you need. If you want to see how it looks without the
lines on the Skage, you are always welcome to go to the lis hide the lier with
the Skage and adjust it, maybe without these lines. Also, if you notice some little places
that are miscolored, For example, like here, we will need to get
back to our lis. Go to our li with the head. Select the same color
that we need to add here and add it to this
little place also, as we already have the
color on our screen. Let's just go and pick it
right from our illustration. To do so, we will need
to go to the color, and we will need to
hold one of our fingers there until we have
this little too. If we move it, you
will see that you are changing the
color on the top. Move it to the color
that you need. And when you have this
color on the top, let's just lift up your finger. When you have the needed color, go to this place that you need
to recolor and recolor it. When you are done
with this task, let's just get back
to our layers. And we will get back to our
layer with facial features. Then we will go and unhide
our layer with the sketch. And we'll continue
aiding our details. We will need to pick the same color that
we were using before. We can just go and use the
same tool that we just used. It was our eye dropper tool. But also we can just go to our tool that we have on the
top where we have our color. And we can just hold
it there and we will have our previous
color right here. Now when we have
our previous color, let's just go and continue
aiding the details. We will firstly go
and recolor our nose. Let's just go and
decrease the size of our brush and let's
recreate the sheep. Also, you don't need to
recreate everything with 100% of similarity to what
you have on your skitch. If you want to
adjust some parts, if you want to erase
some elements, maybe make them even different. You are welcome to go and adjust your elements
to your liking. And when you are
ready with your nose, let's just go and
recreate the mouth again. Let's just go and start
recreating this mouth on the top. And if you feel that maybe
your brush is too thick, what you can do is to go
to your brush library. Go to the monoline brush
that we are using right now. Go to the properties, and here you will see the
option brush behavior. You will have the minimum
size here and you can just go and adjust it a little bit
here when you have it. In that way, we will just go to our Done button
on the top right. And you will see that now your brush is a
little bit tinier. Adjust the size to your liking. And when you are done, let's just go and create
this element for our mouth. When we are done with
the top element, let's just go and
recreate the botta Again, you can use all the options
that we used before. If you need to hold your Apple pencil at
the end of the line, adjust it from the editing mode. If you need to
adjust it even more, try to make this line connected with the line
that you have on top. When you are satisfied
with everything here, let's just go and drag and drop the color inside the ship. When we are ready,
we will go and add a different color
to this tongue area, the same way as before. We are going to our layers. We are going to our layer
with facial features. We will tap on it and we will choose alpha Look
when we did it, you see the checkerboard? We are going to our color
palettes and we will select the pin color
when we have it. We will go and increase
the size of our brush, and we will just go
and with one line, recreate this element
for the tongue again. If you want to play around
with the shape of it, you are welcome to
go and do that. If you want to take
a look at how it all looks without the lines on the skitch, you know
what you need to do. You'll need to go to your layers and hide your layer
with the skitch. When you are done
taking a look at your illustration without
the lines on this page, let just go and
unhide this layer. And then we will go and
continue adding our details. Now we are adding just
the basic colors. Later on, we will get back to our official features and we will add more details here too. Now let me just go and
create one more layer on which we'll be
recoloring some body parts. For example, we will
need to recolor our bottom parts of the legs and the bottom
parts of the arms. Let's just go and create one more layer by tapping
on the plus icon. And let's rename
it as body parts, the same way as before. We will go and pick
the same color that we were using for our main
color on the head. Let's just invoke our eye drop
to pick this color that we need and we will go and recreate these bottom parts of our body. Let's just go and do the
same thing as before. Starting with our outlines, overlap it a little bit with this next element
and close the shape. When you have the closed shape, just drag and drop
the color inside. Let's continue with
three other legs. When we are done
recoloring these elements, let's just take a
look at them without the lines to see overall
how they are looking. Again, we're going to our Lit and hide in R li
with this sketch, if you need to
adjust some lines, maybe smoothing them up. You are welcome
to go and do that right now when we have it. Let's just get back
to our list and we will unhide with this kitch. Then we will go and add some additional
elements to our pause. Let's just go to li
with body parts. We will tap on it, we
will choose alpha log. And then we will go to
our color palettes. And select the dark red
color. Let's just select it. And then we will go and recreate these little elements that
we have on our pause. If you want to add some
additional elements to the legs, you are welcome to
go and do that. When we are done
with these elements, let's just go to our layers and let's create one
more layer for the teal. Now one more time,
let's just pick the same color that we
were using for the base, and then we will go and
recreate the shape of the teal. Again, start by creating
the outlines and go a little bit beyond the frames and connect
the shape together. When you have the outline, drag and drop the color inside, take a look at your shape. And if you need to
adjust some parts, maybe smoothing something up, you are welcome to
go and do that. If you need to take a look at it without the lines
of the skitch, go and hide the layer
with the sketch. When you are done
adjusting your ship, let's just get back to our lis and unhide ur Lia
with the skitch. And also we will just
need to go grab the layer with the tail and position it
underneath our body parts. Because as it is right now, it will be overlapping our paw and our bottom
leg and we don't need it. Let me just go to
Aura with the tail. We will hold it and we will drag it underneath
our body parts. When we are done with the tail, let's just get back to our
layer with facial features. And we will create
one more layer A, but that will rename as ears. We will use the same basic
orange color and we will go and recolor these
little elements that we have on our sketch. Again, we are
starting by creating the outlines and then dragging and dropping the color inside. When we are done with
these basic shapes, let's just go and add this inner part again
if you want to, you can go tear with the ears
and set it as alpha log. But as we are not going
beyond the frames, we can just not do that when we are add
earlier with the ears. Let's firstly go to
our color palettes. And again, let's select
our off white color. Or if you want, you can
go with beach or white. Select one of these colors. And let's just go inside and
recreate this element here. When you have the outline, let's just go
increase the size of our brush and manually
recolor the parts. Now let's just go
pick another color. For example, if
you're using white, you can go with
base or off white. Or if you're using
a different color, just pick another
one of these three and we will go and recolor
these fluffy parts. Again, when you
have the outline, just go inside the shape
and manually recolor it. When we are done, let's just go again to our liers and we
will hide our lier with this cage to check
out how everything looks and whether we want
to adjust some parts. If you want to
adjust some parts, please go and adjust them. If you are satisfied
with everything here, we will continue creating
another element. When you are satisfied
with everything here, let's just get back
to our lis and we will unhide our lio
with this sage. And then we will go to
our body parts layer. And from here we will create one more layer that
will rename as helmet. Now on this new layer, we will firstly go to our color palettes and
select the white color. We will go and recreate
this whole shape. When we have the outlines, let's just drag and
drop the color inside. Now let's just take a look at the whole shape without
our sketch lines. Again, we're going to our liers, and we are hiding our
lier with this Skage. Let's just go all around
these elements and if we need to adjust our
outlines in any way, let's just go and do that when you are satisfied
with your helmet. Let's just get back
to our layers. We will one more time go to our layer with this
cage and unhide it. Then we will get
back to our layer with body parts
and we will create one more layer that
will rename as stem again with the
same white color. We will go and recreate these basic shapes when
you have the outline, drag and drop the color inside. For now, we are done
with our basic colors. In the next part, we
are going to be adding the details to the
helmet and the stem.
6. Costume Detais: We have all the basic
colors for our costume. Let's just go and start
adding the details. Firstly, we will
go to our layers. And we will go to our
layer with the costume. And we will need to
set it as alpha log. Let's just tap on it. And let's select alpha log from the list. When we did it, we will go to our color palettes and we
will select the color with the name Dark propyl we are using the same brush
that we were using before. Let's just go and
start by recreating this little detail on the
neck the same way as always, we are starting with
the outlines and then we'll go and manually
recolor the inner parts. When we are done with
the neck element, let's just go to the arms and we will add the details
to the shaded parts. So let me just go and do
the same thing as before, just creating the
outlines and then manually recolor
the inner parts. Try to be accurate on the
places where you have the intersection with the body and try to create smooth lines. And if you need to
erase some parts, don't use the eraser
tool because you will be erasing all the elements that
you have onto this layer. Instead of that, just
grab the color that you need if you are creating
these dark elements. And if you need to
erase some parts, select the white color and
recolor these parts that you need to erase here
on our right arm, Let's recolor this whole area that we have on the
top of the arm. Now when we are
done with the arms, let's just go to the legs
and do the same thing here. Go into the bottom parts. And recoloring these two
elements with the same color. Let's just go to our pants on the top and let's
recolor the main shape. When you did it, we are
done with this color. Let's just go and start adding these additional elements
with a different color. We will do it on a separate
layer because later on when we're going to be creating the second
illustration, it will be easier
for us to just go there and recolor
these little parts. Firstly, let's just go to
our layers and we will create one more layer above
our layer with the costume. Let's just tap on the plus icon and let's rename it as details. And we will need to use the same method
that we were using before when we are recoloring only the parts that we
already have on the layer. But we are creating these little details
on a separate layer, but we want to use
our alpha log. Let's just go and do one
more thing that will allow us to do the same
thing on a separate layer. We will just go to our
layer with the details. We will tap on it and we
will choose clipping mask. It will work similarly
to alpha log, but we are going to be doing
it on a separate layer. Now when we have this new layer, let's just go to
our color palettes. And let's select the
C and blue color. We will go and recolor
these parts on our costume. And let's just start by going
to the leg that we have on the right and we will recolor
these parts as always. Let's just start
with the outlines. And when we have our outlines, we will grab a
different color and we will drag and drop it
to the middle part. When you have this outline, let's just get back to
our color palettes. And let's select this
light C and blue. Let's just drag and drop it
inside this little outline. When we have this first element, let's just go to the
pens that we have. And we also will add the same detail to the
middle part of our costume. The same way as before.
We are starting with the outlines with
our C and blue color. Then we will drag and
drop the color which is our light CN blue inside. Let's just go and make all of these little details
as we are on a separate layer here
we can go and grab the eraser tool and erase the
parts that we don't need. Now let's just go and again select our CN blue
color and we will recolor these little
parts that we have as details on the middle
part of our body. When we are done with this part, let's just go and add white details onto our pants
that we have in the middle. Let's just invoke
our eye dropper tool and go and recolor
these little parts. When we are done, we will go to this little element that
we have on the back. We will just go and again grab our C and blue color
and we will go and create this little parts that are separating
one from another. When you are done
with this task, let's just go and hide R with the sage in
our layers panel. And we will check out
how everything looks and whether we want to
adjust some parts or not. If you have some places
that you need to adjust, please go and adjust them when you are satisfied
with your result. Let's just get
back to our layers and we will go to
with the helmet. Firstly, let's just go and
unhide li with this sage. And then we will just go
and create one more layer above with the helmet
which will a name as Tats. One more time let's
just clip this led to a previous one table on it
and select and clipping mask. We will go and start by creating a dark line that we have right here on the bottom
part on the helmet. Firstly, let's just go
and invoke our eye drop, a tool to select
this dark color, and then we will go and recreate this line that we
have on our sketch. Play around with the end parts. If you want, you
can go and continue this line just going
through the whole shape. Or if you want, you
can just go and find someplace where you
want to end this line. Erase the parts that you
don't need and when you are done let's just drag
and drop the color inside, issuing it to Stan
parts even more. You are welcome to
go and do that. Now when we are done
with this line, let's just go and start recreating the parts
on our headphone. Firstly, let's just
go and recreate these little Jeep elements
when you have the outline, drag and drop the color inside. And then let just work
onto the bottom part. Firstly, we will just go and create a little part like that, we'll recolor it inside. And then we will go and
create a little art element. Let's just go and create
something in that way. As always, you can decide where you want to finish up your line. You can go through
the whole shape or just go and create
something in that way. When you have these elements, let's just go and create
these little parts that we have on our headphone
the same way as before. We will firstly go to
our color palettes and we will select
the C and blue color. Let's just go and
create these parts. When you have the outlines, you can drag and drop the
same color that you have for these outlines or to match
what we have onto our costume. We can just get back to our
color palettes and select this light C and blue color
and drop it to these places. Now let's just get back to our darkest C and blue color
and we will go through the whole shape of our
helmet and we will recreate these lines that
we have on our skitch. When you are done one more time, let's just get back
to our layers and we will hide our layer
with the skitch. Let's just take a look at
everything without our lines on the skitch and decide whether we want to adjust
something or not. If you're satisfied with how
everything looks right now, let's move on to our next part, where we are going to be adding some highlights and shadows.
7. Boy Fox: Shadows, Highlights & Beautification: Let's start working
onto our eyes. Firstly, in this part, what we need to do is to
add the highlights and a little gradient to the
bottom pars of our eyes. Firstly, let's just go and
select a different brush. It will be our
airbrushing folder. Medium blend brush. Then we will go to
our layers and we will find our layer with
the facial features. When we have this layer
selected above it, we will create one
more layer that will already name as details. Let's clip this layer
to a previous one. Tapping, selecting,
clipping mask. And when we did
it, we will go to our color palettes and we will select the color with
the name magenta. When we have this
color selected, we will go to the bottom
parts on the ice, and very softly we will
create a gradient. Let's just go and create
something in that way, blend it nicely, and you can add more color to the
bottom part of the ice. When you are done
with this task, let's just get back to our
brush library one more time. And we will get back to our calligraphy folder to
choose monoline brush. When you did it, we
will get back to our color palettes and we
will select the white color. Let's increase the size
of our brush and we will go to the top
left parts of our ice. And we will put just
one dot like that. When you have this
big highlights, let's decrease the
size of our brush. And we will go and
add a few more dots. If you want to play
runs with the shapes, you are welcome to go and do that if you need to
adjust some parts. For example, if you want to move this highlight
on the left eye, you are welcome to go
to the ribbon icon. Select free hand method,
select these elements. Go to the transform tool
and adjust the placement. When you are satisfied with
the position of this element, go and desalect everything by hitting your first tool
that you were using. This was our ribbon icon. And if you have some little
parts like that on your eye, you are always welcome to go to the smash tool and just go over these little
parts and blend them. Now when we are
done with our eyes, let's just get back to our
layers and we will go to the helmet elements and we will add a little
effect of the glass. Firstly, let's just go and find our layer with the helmet. We will be adding this effect only inside this helmet element. Let's just go and select it. When the layer with the
helmet is selected, we are going again to our S ribbon icon on
the bottom panel. We are selecting
automatic selection. When we did it we are going to this middle part of the helmet and we will just tap on it. You can see that when we taped we have this
blue selection. And you might need to go and make the selection
a little bit bigger so you won't have a dividing line between your helmet
and this new element. To do so, we will need to adjust the threshold
of selection. We will just need to hold our apple pencil on the screen and move
it toward the right. You will see that you are
making your selection a little bit bigger when you're
satisfied with your selection. Let's just go again
to our layers. And from here we will create one more layer onto
this new layer. We will just grab our white
color and we will drag it inside this shape that we
are having for our helmet. As you can see now we have this new layer clipped
to our helmet. And that's not what we need, we will just need to have this layer above our
layer with the details. Let's just hold it
on our layers panel and we will drag it up above our layer with the details as we will
just need to tap on it. And we will need
to choose clipping mask from the list
to turn it off. Now when we have the
result like that, we will need to
adjust the opacity and adjust the blending
mode of this layer. Blending modes are
different ways your list can interact
with each other. We can add different
visual effects by choosing different
blending modes. Now when we have the parts, let's just go and
deslect everything by heating our S ribbon icon. Now we are getting back
to this layer also. Let's just go and
rename it as glass. We will need to go to the icon. We will need to adjust
the blending mode. Let's just tap on
our icon and we will find screen
blending mode also. We will just go to our Apacity
slider and we will drag it to the left until we have
the result that we like. You can see that
now we are muting our colors and that's
exactly what we need. Let's just go and stop
at something like 20% If you feel that maybe
it's too much or not enough, you are welcome to go and
play with the Apacity slider. When you have the
result like that, we will go over this new layer with the glass and we will
create one more layer. We will rename this layer as Highlight by using
blending mode, which is our normal
blending mode. We will go over the top part of our helmet of our glass and we will add a
little highlight there. Let's just go and create
a shape like that. If you want to play
around with the shape, you are welcome to
go and do that. If you want to add
more highlights again, you are welcome to
go and do that. If you feel that maybe that
highlight is too bright, you are always welcome to get
back to the layers panel. Go to the layer
with the highlight. Go to the icon and adjust
the apacity on the slider. With apacity, take a look
at your illustration from the distance and decide whether you want to
adjust something. If you want, you can play around with the
glass one more time. Take a look at how it
looks with the highlights, find what works for you
and when we are done, let's just go and work a
little bit onto our face. Let's just go to our
Lay with the hat. And we will create one
more layer above it. Again, let's rename
it as details. Now let's clip this
layer to a previous one. Tapping, selecting,
clipping mask. And then we will one more
time go to our brush library, airbrushing, and we will
select medium blend brush. Let's just get back
to our color palette and let's select
some beach color. Also, if you don't want
to use the beach color, you are welcome to go and select any other color that you like. What we are going to be doing is going to this part
that we have on the bottom of the face and we will add just a
little bit of blush. Let's just go and
create something in that way very smoothly. We are adding the second
color to the part and we will do it on both of the sides if you think that
maybe you overdid it. Or if you want to
adjust something, you are always welcome to go to the smash tool and smash
these little parts, blend them nicely
with the main color. And if you want, you can always go to the end icon and play with the opacity slider if you pick the color and if
you don't like it, you are always welcome to go to the adjustments he
satration and brightness, and play with the sliders. From here, for example, we can go to the
hue slider and we can go and find the color
that will work for us. For example, some pinkish
color will work better. Also, we can just go
to our layers panel one more time and we can
change the blending mode. You are welcome to go and play around with the blending
modes if you want to, and maybe find something different with the
visual effects. For example, you can select
linear burn modes and then play with the opacity when you have the
result that you like. Let's continue by aiding
the general shadows. Firstly, let's just
go to our layers. And we will be aiding our
shadows just on one layer. Do we will need to
go to our group with the color and we will firstly need to go and
make a copy of it. Let's just wipe the group
from right to left, and we will choose Duplicate. When we have the group on top, we will need to tap on
it and we will need to choose flatten from
this little window. Now as you can see, we have everything that we've created for these folks
just on one layer. We are going to be
using this layer just to select the whole shape. Let's just go to this layer
that now has the name head. We can go and rename
it as general shape. What we need to do is to tap on this layer one
more time and choose. Select only these areas that
we have onto this layer. Everything that we have for
this ship will be selected. And that's exactly what we need. When we have this selection, we will go and create
one more layer. And when we have this new layer, we will tap on it and
we will choose mask. Now we have the layer that
has only this area selected. And we will just go and deselect
everything onto our top. Let's just tap on
our ribbon icon and then we will get
back to this new layer. Let's just go and
rename it as shadows. We don't need this layer that we have for
our general ship. So let's just go and tap
on our little check mark. Now we will go to this
layer with the shadows. We will go to our icon and we will change the blending
mode to multiply. As for the apacity, for now, we can keep it at 100% but if you know that you
will need to adjust it, you can start with
something like 50% You can always get back to this option and adjust
it if you need to. Now when we have this new layer and when we have this new mask, let's just get back
to our color palette. And let's select the pen color. If you want to select
a different color for your general shadows, you are welcome to
go and do that. Now we will need to go to
all of the shapes that we have here and we will need
to start aiding our shadows. But before doing
that, we will need to understand how can we add our shadows to be
consistent with them so we don't add
them in a random way. We will need to pay attention to where is our light source. According to the light source, we are going to be
aiding our shadows. All the objects that are closer to our light
source will be lighter and all the
objects that are farther from it will
be in the shadow. Also, we will have
some objects that are overlapping other objects. And that will mean that we will need to put a shadow here too, to be sure that we are aiding our highlights and our
shadows in a consistent way. Let's just do the following. Firstly, we will
go to our list and we will get back to our layer with the sketch that we already have onto our
candle, for example. Let's just go to the
miscellaneous sketch layer. Onto this layer, we
will go and grab our brush and we will create
a little arrow, for example. Let's create it in that way and in accordance with
this little arrow, we will be creating our shadows. Let's just get back
to our layers. And we will get back to
our layer with the shadows that we have for our
first fox on the right. And we will start
adding the shadows. We are using this pin color. We are using our monoline
brush for these parts. Let me just go take a look
at our arrow at first. And we will go to the
objects that we have, closer to this arrow. We will have our ears here. And our top parts of the ears, we'll be having the highlights. That means that the
bottom parts of our ears probably will
have the shadows. So let's just go and add
these little shadows. Let's just start from
the ear that we have on our lets and we will just
go and create a shadow. In that way, you can always use all the options
that we use before. You can hold your apple pencil
at the ends on the line. You can create just a curve, go to the edit mode and
adjust it to your liking. And then we will
just go and continue creating our shadow,
just in that way. Create the outlines and then drag and drop the color inside. If you have some parts
that are overlapping, grab eraser tool and
erase these parts. Also try to make smooth
connections between the shapes. Now when we have
this first shadow, let's move on to our second ear. And again, firstly, we are
taking a look at our arrow. When we're taking a look at it, we will know that we will
need to go to the bottom right part of our ear
and add the shadow here, the same way as
with our first ear. Let's just go and start by creating a little
curve like that, adjust it to your liking. And when you are done
with the first curve, let just go and add the
shadow to the bottom part. And create our outlines. Dragon, drome the color inside. And then if you need to grab
an eraser tool and erase the parts that you don't need when we are done with our ear. Let's get back to our
brush and let's just go to this part where
we have our headphone. And let's just add a
little shadow here too. We will just go and repeat
the shape going in that way. And then we will
go inside and we will recover it when you
have something like that. Let's just step a
little bit from the edge of our
helmet and we will continue creating the
line going down in the same way when we have this little outline
going in that way. Let's continue by going toward the left side and create a
little curve in that way. Then we will just go up and create the
shadow in that way. Let's just put this whole
shape into the shadow. We will keep this element that we have inside the headphone. Without the shadow, we will just go and create a shadow
going in that way. When you have the outline, let's just go and drag and
drop the color inside. We can also go to this
part that we have on our top and create the
shadow going higher like that. Now when we are
done with the head, let's just go to the body parts. Firstly, we will need to put a big shadow underneath
the whole helmet elements. Let's just go and increase
the size of our brush. And we will go underneath the helmet and create
the shadow in that way. When you have the outline, let's just go and manually
recolor this part. When you have the shadow, let's just go to the arm
that we have on the left. And let's continue adding
the shadow here too. We are taking a look at our arrow and we will
know that we will need to put this shadow on
the bots and part of the arm. Let's just go and create
something in that way. Also with the shadow, we will divide this arm
from the body as always. Just create the outline and then drag and drop
the color inside. Now when we have the
shadow on our left arm, let's move on to the right one. Firstly, we will just go to this part that we have right
here underneath the arm, and we will add the shadow
here if you need to. You can always go back
to your lise and unhide your layer with the skitch to know where you need
to put the shadow. And then we will
just go and continue creating the line
underneath our arm. Now let's just get
back to our lise and we will hide our
layer with this skitch. Then we will go and adjust the parts that we
need to adjust. For example, we will
just go here on the top and we will
create a smoother line. When we are done with this part, let's just go to this bomp part and let's continue
creating our shadow. What we need to do is to go
and create it in that way. We are just going and
continuing our line, and then we are creating a
shadow going in that way. If you want to, you can go and continue creating the
shadow on the tail. And in that way divide
the arm from this tail. Now when we are done with
this part on the right, let's just go to this
part that we have on our back and let's put it
in the shadow completely. Now when we have
something like that, let's just grab our reser tool
and we will go to the edge of the ship and we will add just little
highlights in that way. Now let's just get
back to our brush and let's continue
adding our shadows. Firstly, let's just go
to the leg that we have on the left and we will create
a big shadow like that. We will go higher and we also will add the shadow
to this little place. Now let's just continue creating the shadow and divide the
legs from one another. Now, create the outline going
along the whole ship on the bottom of the leg and then drag and drop
the color inside. Now let us go to our
leg on the right, and let's add a little
shadow in that way. Let's just go to the middle
part of it and we will create a little knee when you
have the curve like that. Let's just go a little
bit to the bottom. And let's create a
little shadow there too. If you want to work
onto the knee elements, you can go and thicken it up and create a
curve in that way. If you need to erase some parts, go grab an eraser
two and erase them. Now let us go to the tail. We will go to the
bottom part of it and we will go and add
the shadows here too. We are just repeating
the lines that we have on our main shape. And then very easily go
and create in our outline, adding the color inside. If you need to
adjust some parts, go and adjust them. Now we are done
with our shadows. But let's just go and add a few more details to the shape that we have
for our headphone. And also let's just add
different colors to our tel. Firstly, let's just get back
to our layers and we will go and find our layer with
the details on the helmet. When we have this
layer selected, we will go zoom in our canvas. We will go and select
some different colors. For example, the pine,
darker pink, magenta. Any color that you
like. We will go to the bottom part of this element and we will add a color here. Let's just create a shape, some kind of the ellipse or
some, a rounded rectangle, and when you have it later on we will get back
to our color palette, select the white color, and we will go to
one of the sides and create a little
shadow in that way. When we are done
with this element, let's just go and add
different colors to our teal. Let's firstly go to our lays and find our layer
with the teal. And we will create one
more layer above it. Let's rename this
layer as Details. Now let's clean this
layer to a previous one. And we will keep our
normal blending mood when we are done with it. Let's just get back to
our color palettes. And let's select pin
cred, or red color. We are using the same brush
that before mono line, and then we will just go inside this shape and we will
add a second color. Let's just go and create
some pattern in that way. Make the outline
and then drag and drop the color inside
when you have it. Let's just go again to our color palette and let's
select another color. You can go with any
color that you like, but for example, let's just go and select this beige color. With this color, we will
go to the tip of our tail. And we will add the
second color here too. If you want to go and
add other colors, you are welcome to
go and do that. Also, you can just go and add just a bit of gradient
to these elements. For example, let's
just go and create one more layer above this
layer with the details. And we will again
clipping mask it. When we are done, we will
go to our brush library. We'll go to the air
brushing medium blend. Then we will grab some color and we will add it to
the bottom part. For example, let's just go with magenta pink very lightly. We will just go to
the bottom part and we will add this
additional color. If you don't like the color
when you already edit, you are always welcome to
go to the adjustments hue, sitration, and brightness,
and play with the hue slider. Spend some time here, play
around with the sliders. And when you're
done, let just tap on our magic one
to one more time. Now we are done with
our first illustration. In the next part, we will
make a copy of it and we will just go to the opposite side and we will recreate
everything here. We will adjust it and we will create the
second illustration.
8. Girl Fox Coloring + Final Beautification: Let's start this part
by going to our layers. And firstly, we will
need to go and make a copy of our group with colors. Let's just go and
select it firstly. And then we will swipe
it from right to left, and we will choose Duplicates. When we did it, we will grab this group that
we have on the top. We will hold it and we will drag it to our group
with left forks. We will position it underneath our layer with this sketch. When we did it, we will need
to flip it horizontally. Let's just select this
group and then we'll go to our key on the top
left uniform method. And on the bottom we are
selecting flip horizontal. When we did it,
snapping is on and we are just moving our
ships to the left. And we will need to match
it with our sketch. When you've matched your ships, let's just go and deslect everything by hitting
our arrow key. Now we will need to work onto
these different elements. Firstly, let's just go and start by aiding different ears. Let's just go to
our brush library. We will go to the calligraphy
folder and we will choose our familiar
monoline brush. When we did it, we will
go to the layers and we will go and find our
group with the ears. We will need to go and
erase them completely. We will go to our eraser tool
and erase it in that way. Or we can just go to our
canvas and use three of our fingers and make a swipe movement when
you've erased these parts. Let's just go to
our color palettes. And again, we will select
the same color that we were using before
for our first ear. On our right illustration, it was our red orange
or pale orange. If you're not sure
what color it was, let's just go and pick the
color from our right fork. When you are done, let us go and create these ears as always. Start with the outlines and then drag and drop
the color inside. Now let us go and pick
a different color to recreate this element of a
fluffy part inside the ear. Again, if you want, you can go to the opposite side and pick the color from here. Now let's take a look at our illustration and decide
what we need to adjust. We will need to go to
the helmet and we will need to adjust this
part on the top of it. Let's just go to the lis, find the needed lier
and adjust these parts. Now when we are done
with the helmet, let's just go and redo
this leg one more time. We are going to the
lies and we are finding our layer
with the costume. Firstly, let's just go tap on this layer and we will
turn off alpha lock. Then we'll grab our eraser tool and we will erase
this whole leg. We also then will go to our lies and we will go to our
lay with body parts. And we will erase this
leg on the Botta again. Let's just start by
going to this lier and we will turn
off our alpha lock. Now one more time,
let's just grab the same color that
we had for our in shapes and let's just go and recreate this part that
we have on our skitch. When you are done with the leg, let's just get back
to our costume and let's finish
up the whole ship. Now let us go and add these
details One more time, we will get back to
our costume layer. We will tap on it and we
will choose alpha lock. We will grab this dark
color, and firstly, we will go and recreate
this bottom part. Now let us go to this
layer where we have our details and we
will firstly go and erase this little
part that we don't need. Now let us take a look at our illustration
without the lines on the sage and decide whether we need to adjust
some parts or not. If you have some places
that you need to adjust, let's just go and adjust that. If you have some little elements on your costume to adjust, please go to the layer
with the costume and firstly turn off alpha
log to add more details. Now when you are
done with this task, let's just get back to
our layers and one more time we'll get back to our
layer with the details. Let's just go and
change the color of these elements when
the layer is selected. We are going to our
magic one tool, hue saturation and brightness. Let's just go to the hue slider and let's find a
different color here. For example, let's
go with something pinkish when you have
the color that you like. Let's just go and
deslect everything by heating our magic one
tool one more time. And now we will also need to go to our layer with
the helmet details. And we will need to change
the color here too. Let's just go select this layer. And then we will go
to our adjustments, stration and brightness. And let's just find
a similar color to what we have on our costume. If you want to recolor only some of the
elements, for example, the bottom part of
this headphone, we can go to the
top where we have the option hue, sitration,
and brightness. And we will tap on
this little arrow. We will choose the
option pencil, and we will just go to this place that we
want to recolor. And we will just
go and recolor it. When you went along
the whole shape, you can then go
to the hue slider and adjust the
color of the parts. The same thing you can do with all the elements on this layer. Just go along with the pencil
and then adjaz the color. If you have multiple objects
that you want to recolor, recolor one of them firstly, then go and deselect everything. And go inside the hue, stration and brightness one more time to recolor the
rest of the areas. When you are done with
recoloring these elements, let's just go to our layers
and let's work onto our tel. Before doing that,
let's just go and turn on our layer
with this cage. And then we'll get
back to our layer with the teal and
we will erase it. We also can go to our
layer with the details and with our little gradient
and do the same thing. Now let's just get back to
our layer with the Tl and we will pick the same color
that we have on our ears. Let's just go and create
this basic shape. When you have the outlines
dragon drop the color inside. And then let just go
to our details layer. And let just add
some other colors, for example, one more time, let's just get back to our color palettes and let's select either Pin Crit Red or any
other color that you like. With this color, we will go and start eating these
additional colors. Dragon drop the color
when you are ready. And then let's just
get back again to our color palettes and select one more color that
will add for the tip. With this color, let's
just go and again create the outlines and then dragon drop the color inside. Now when you are done, let's just go and work onto artificial features and also onto these additional elements. Firstly, let's just go and find the li with artificial features. And then we will just
need to go and grab our eraser to and erase the
bottom part of the mouth. When you are done, let's just go and add this additional
elements on the top. Let's go to our layers
and we will go above all the layers that we
have into our color group. Let's just go and
create one more layer which will rename
as Little Star. When we have this layer, let's just get back to our color palettes and
let's select some color. You can go with any
color that you like, some, maybe pinkish
colors, maybe blue one. Or you can go with
light yellow, orange. Select the color that you like. And let's just go and
recreate these elements. Now let's just take a look at our illustration without
the lines on the sage. Decide whether you like
this color that you picked for this star or if
you want to go and adjust it. If you want to go and adjust it, go to the adjustment
usetration and brightness, and play with the color
of these elements. When you're satisfied
with this new color, let's just go and
deselect everything by heating our magic One
tool one more time. Now, one more time,
let's just take a look at the whole
illustration and decide whether we need to
adjust some other parts. For example, if we take a look at our elements
on the helmet, we will just need to go and move this little
part on the bottom. Let's just go and find
the needed layer. It is our layer
with the details. We will pink the same color
that we are using right here. We will grab the
eraser tool and erase the part that we don't
need and we will go and recreate this element underneath this little part
that we have on the helmet. Now, one more time, take a
look at the whole illustration and decide whether you need
to adjust some parts or not. If you are satisfied
with everything here, let's just go and
add our shadow. Firstly, we will need
to do the same thing as we did before with our
first illustration. We will need to go
to our group with color and we will need
to make a copy of it. Let's just wipe the group
from right to left, and we will choose duplicates. Then when we have this
duplicate over group, we will go to the group
that we have on the top. And we will flatten it. When we did it, we will tap on this group and we will
rename it as general shape. When we did it, we will
need to go and find the shadow layer on our
folks on the right. Let's just go and find this layer and we'll
make a copy of it. When the layer is selected, both the layer and the mask, we will swipe it from right to left and we will
choose duplicate. Now we will grab these two
layers that we have on top, and we will just move them to our group with our left folks the same way we are putting them above our layer with
the general shape. Now what we need
to do is to go and firstly release this mask
that we have on the top. To do so, we will need to go
to our lie with the mask. We will need to swipe
it from right to left and we will need
to choose the lit. Now we will grab
this shadow layer and we will go to our
erarkey on the top left. And the same way as before, we will firstly flip it horizontally and then we
will drag it to our left, and we will match
it with our sheep. When you found the
right placement, let just go and
deslect everything. And then what we need to
do is to go to our layers, go to our lie with the
general sheep, tap on it, select it, then get back to our lie with the shadows
and make a mask here. One more time,
we're taping on our with shadows and we
are selecting mask. Now we don't need this lie
with general shape anymore. Let's just go and
tape on the checkbox. And then we will just go to our S ribbon icon and we
will deselect everything. Now let's just get back
to Arlie with the shadows and we will just go and
adjust some of these parts. We will just need to adjust the shadows on the
elements that we changed. Let's just go and do that. When you are done
with the shadows, let's just take a look at our illustration from
the distance one more time and decide whether we
want to adjust anything. For example, let's just go to our layer with facial features. Let's just move our nose just a little bit
toward the left side, selecting our layer,
firstly tapping it, and selecting alpha
log from the least. Then we will go to our
ribbon on free hands method, select this little
element that we want to move and then go to our Ar key and move it if you want to add an additional
color to your tel, you are welcome to
go and do that. Let's just find this needed
layer and let's just go and select a different
brush one more time. Go into our airbrushing
folder, medium blend. Then we are selecting some
color that you like and go into the bottom part and
adding this additional color. When you are done,
let's just go and add the colors to these additional
elements that we have. Going along the whole
shape of our canvas, what we need to do, firstly, is to go to our layers and find the layer with
miscellaneous elements. Let's just go below it to
our layer with this sage. And from here we will
create one more layer. Let's rename it as
miscellaneous colors. Now let's just get back to our brush library
calligraphy folder, choosing monoline brush. And we will very quickly go and add the colors to the stars, the litle, sparkles
and our dots. You can select just
one color or you can pick different colors
to these elements. Let's just go and very quickly
do that when we are done, let's just get back to our
layers and we will hide our layer with the sketch on
the miscellaneous objects. Now let's just take a look
at these little shapes that we just created and adjust
them if we need to. When we are satisfied with
how everything looks, Let's just go and add an additional visual
effect of the globe. Firstly, we will need to go to our layers and we
will need to make a copy of our layer with
miscellaneous colors. Let's just swipe it
from right to left, and we will choose Duplicate. When we did it, we will go
to our layer on the bottom. Firstly, we will go and
change the blending mode. We can, for now go
with Ad and later on, if we don't like it, we
will go and change it. So now when this blending
mode is selected, we will go to our magic 12 and we will go under
Gaussian blur. When you've chosen this option, you will see on the top
right now our Gaussian blu is set at 0% and we can
just go and adjust it. What we need to do is to hold our apple pencil
and the screen and then move it toward
the right side until we have the
glowing effects. Find the amount
that works for you. Something 10-15% will work perfectly when you are
satisfied with everything Here, let's just tap one
more time onto our magic one tool to go
away from our Gaucian Bluer. Now we can go and
tweak one more option. One more time we're taping on our adjustments and this
time we will go under blue. The same thing as we did
with our Gaussian blur. We are holding our apple pencil and we are moving it
toward the right. If you want, you can go
and play around with these options on the bottom.
Find what works for you. And when you are done, let just tap on our magic one tool. To go away from this mode, take a look at
your illustration, and if you want to,
you can go again to the layers and maybe play
around with the blending modes. Find the blending
mode that works for you and when you are done, we are done with
our illustration. Thank you for
