1. Introduction : Hello everyone, I am uni, and ease of this class will
make a few cute fairy tale z that this class doesn't require any prior experience
or offensive. So we'll start from
scratch and we'll be using simple techniques
throughout the process. Everything you'll see will
be happening in Procreate. However, if you
have other software or wants to try
traditional materials, you are welcome to join
if you're ready to start, Let's jump right into it.
2. Sketching the Castle: Let's start our
class by deciding what kind of Canvas we
are gonna be using. You can see it is a very
simple square canvas because both the width and pixel
height are 2048-bit sets. If you would like to use any other dimensions for
your canvas, just go for it. As for a DPI, we are using 300 and S for the color profile. It is set as SRGB
with this low number. When it's all done,
let's hit Done and it will be redirected
to our new canvas. And now we need to decide
what kind of colors where I'm gonna be using
throughout the whole class. You can go to the project
and restaurants app. You can download the
color palette and you can follow along
and when needed it let just go straight to our color palettes and we will check out what we have here. Here we have two options of
how we can use this colors. They come back to you and the cards will be using
cars because they have all the colors names and
they are ready for you to be its nth while we're still
here under our color palette, Let's select our first color. And as I started by
creating a little sketch, Let's select the color
with the name sketch. We will tap on it and
we will select it. When we did it, we
will need to go and select the brush for
our sketching parts. So let's just go to
this icon with a brush. We will go inside
the brush library. We will go to the sketching
folder and we will select procreate pencil if
you would like to use any other brush for
this question part, you are welcome to do it. Now when we have our brush
and when we have our color, we can go and adjust the size of the brush
if you want to, if you don't want to,
let just go and zoom in our Canvas to some
part on its own. And we will start by
creating a tower, which later on we will
turn into a little castle. So let's just zoom
in our Canvas. We will go to the top bar it, and we will start very easily by doodling
our little rectangle. That will be our needs it
and that will be vertical. Don't worry if it's not
happening from the first try. Just go and create
something like that. You don't need to
be very precise, just with simple lines, create a shape like that. Now we are just doodling
and we don't need to pay too much
attention to our lines. Later on, we will turn them into very straight lines
and it'll be nice. Now when we have
the first shape, we will need to move on over our right side and we will
need to repeat it there. So just go in there,
stabbing a little bit from our first shape and repeating
it over r, right set. Try to make it similar to the shape that you have
over your left side. When you're done with
these two shapes, we will go between them and
we will create a wall here. So firstly, let us go and find the approximate center
of these two shapes. You can just go
and mark it down. And when you have it, we will go and create a horizontal line. Let's just go and do that. You can hold your
line and the end. If you want to snap to a perfectly straight
line, when you have it, we will need to go
or our bottom part and we will need to create
another horizontal line. Here. We will step a little
bit from the bottom line that we have on to
our little tower, and we will go and create
another horizontal line. So something like that. When you had this
very street wall, we will go over the top part and we will add some
beautification here. So firstly, let us go
over our left side. We will stop a little bit
from this side from art sour and we will create a
little rectangle like that. So we are making some
cuts into our wall. When you have it
on the left side. Let's move on over
our right side and let's try to repeat it here. We will need to keep the same
distance from our tower, and we will need to
repeat the size of this little rectangle that
we have created when you have this second
cartilages go in the middle part and we will
create another cut here. So again, just
repeating the shape, just trying to make
these distance between our little cats
similar on both sides. If you want, you can grab the eraser tool and you
can erase this part on the top so you
don't need to repeat them later on and you
won't be confused. So lets just grab our areas or two and let's erase
this little parts. Now when we are done, alleges go and grab our
brush one more time, and we will go and find an approximate center
of the whole shape. So we will go and create the vertical line going
from top to the bottom, which will be somewhere in
the middle of the whole ship. So let's just go above our
little sheep and we will create this vertical line going from top to the bottom hole, this line and the end,
adjust the angle. Tried to make it similar to the angle that you have
gone through your shape. If you need to move this line, if you see that it's
not in the center, we will go over the
top to Edit Shape. You can see that here
we have two nodes, one on the top,
one on the bottom. We can go and adjust
the position of line. We can adjust the angle, we can move it, we can do
whatever we want here. So we will go and try to
put it right in the middle. To do so, we will need
to go to our Canvas. We will just hold our Apple
pencil on some space. We will just move it until we see that it is in the center. When you are done, ledgers tap onto our screen with one of our fingers or with our Apple Pencil and we will
get away from this mode. Now when we have this approximate center line going from top to the bottom, we will go to this wool that we have in the middle
of two towers, and we will create
a little door here. So let's just zoom in our
Canvas and we will go to our left side from this line that we
have in the middle. And we will start very easily by creating a curve like that. You can play around
with its size. You can hold it at the end to
snap it to a battery shape. And when you have
it on the one side, we will move on to
the opposite side and we will try to
repeat it here. Again, just go in there
and creating a curve. Now when you have
the shape like that, we will go inside of it and
we will add a handle here. So go to one of the sides and creates a little
shape like that. You can play around with
the shape on the handout. It's all up to you. And when you are
done, allege us go to the door and we will add
some texture on the wall. Here. We will go and create some
wobbly lines like that, started from
something like that, and then go and create
some pattern here. When you are done, ledgers go and add some windows. Firstly, going over
our left side to this wall and we will create a little rectangle like that. Just go there and very
easily create the sheep. You can hold your Apple pencil
at the ends of the line, or just very easily
with a schedule and create a little window when
you have it on one side. Let's move on to
the opposite side and less the same thing here, trying to keep the
same distance from the center and the same
distance from arts hour. We will try to
keep the same size on the window and we
will create it here. When you have this
second window, we will go and we will
work on to our ITS hours. Let's firstly go over
our left side and we will start by creating
some windows again. So again, going
over our left side, we will go a little bit above our line that we
have on the bottom. And we will start by
creating a line like that, which will be just a
straight horizontal line. As always, you can
play with the distance from your boards and
parts and from the sides. It's all up to you. When you hand this slide, we will go and create the shade, the scene that we
have for our door. Let's go and try to do that. As always, you can
play with this size. You can play with the
curvature of this line. It's all up to you when you have this window on to our left, our legis move on
to the right one, and let's do the
same thing here. Try to put it on the
same line and try to keep the distance from the
bottom and from the sets. Now when you have these
two windows on the bottom, Let's move on over R2 part and let's create one
more window here. Again, starting
from our left side and creating similar
window here. This time let's make it
a little bit narrower. So again, starting by
creating a line like that, which is horizontal line, and then it will go over
the top and we will create this rounded shape when you
have its own the left tower. Let's move on to the
right one and less. The same thing here, trying to put it on
the same line and keeping the distance from
the top and from the sites. When you are done
with the windows, we will go over the top part
and we will add some roof. As always, we are starting
from our left side. We will go over the
top of a tower and we will start by creating
a little triangle here. Ledger step a little bit from
the sides and we will make it a little bit bigger than
the shape of our rectangle. Let's just go and
create our sheep. When you have these
sheep on the triangle, ledgers go to the corners and instead of
various treatments, we will make the curves. So I just soften
in our triangle. When you have something
like that led, just grab our eraser tool and we will erase everything
that we don't meet. If you want to
adjust some lines, maybe make them more straight. You can go and grab them, brush, grab the eraser tool and
adjust them to your liking. Or if you don't
want to do it right here onto the stage later on, we will fix it when we're are going to be aiding our colors. So don't worry if you don't
want to change anything here. Now when we are done with softening up our little corners, Let's just go over the
top part of our roof. Do this little shape
that we have here. And we will start by
creating a little flag here. Let's just go and start by creating a line
going up like that. You can vary its size. It's all up to you. If you want, you can make
it thicker or thinner. It's up to you again. And when you have it, we will go over one on the sides and we will create
another triangle here. It will look like that when
you have it on one side. Let's move on to our right sour. And we will start by creating these
triangle for the roof. Again, just go in and
creating the sheep firstly, try to make it similar to the one that you have
over the left side. When you have the basic
shape ledgers go to our corners and
we will soften it up instead of the
street corners, we will create the curves. When you are done with
this task ledgers grab our eraser tool and we will erase all the lines
that we don't need. If you want to work more once
a year, lines change them, maybe clean them up, maybe make them even
straighter than they are. You can go and do
that if you don't want to lead us go
or that's open, we will add our flag here. So again, just give it to the
top and creating the line. Firstly, when you have
the line ledgers go and create the flag looking at the same direction
than the first one. Now we are done with the base, and that means that we are ready to add some
beautification. Firstly, let us go to our roofs and we will
add some wobbly lines, some curves to
create some shingle. So first the ledgers go over our left side and let's
do something like that. You can play around
with this size. You can play around
with where you want to put them with their amounts. It's all up to you. Try not to overdo this part. When you are done
with the first tower, Let's move on over
our right side and let's do something
similar here. You don't need to
repeat everything with 100 per cent of similarity here. You can play around and add the different shapes
for your shingle. When we are done with that, alleges give it to our towers. A few beautification here. We will add some breaks. We don't want to create
the full texture on our little tower is
here because it will be quite overwhelming and we
don't want to do that. We just need to add some hints so there
is some texture here. So let's just go to some
blank spaces and we will add a few rectangles that
will represent the bricks. Just if you three, maybe four, let just go and
create these rectangles. You can make them singular. You can go and maybe
find some pattern here. Just go and add a few of them. When you are done
with the first tower, Let's just move on
over there right side, and let's do something
similar here. You don't need to put
the same brakes on the same places you can play around and find
different placements. And when you are done
with the breaks, we will add one more
beautification for our castle. Ledgers go above our wall and we will create
a little rope here. Onto this rope, we
will put some flex, so ledgers give it
to our left tower. We will stop a little bit down from our roof
and we will go across the whole wall to the next tower and we
will create a curve here. You can go and manually create this curve and end
the end on the line. You can hold it to
create a better line. If you want, you can move it
in a different direction. You can play with the angle if you need to
adjust it even more. Lead just on hold our Apple pencil and let's go
over the top to edit shape. Here you have some notes just as before and you
can play with them. So e.g. you can play
with the curvature or with a position
on the whole shape. Let's just give it
to this middle node and let's put it a
little bit down. And when you are in Zan
link just below this line, and we will add the
shapes like that. So basically we are creating the inverted shape
of the letter M. When you have the first one, ledgers go along the whole rope and let's add a
few more of them. And when you are done with
aging this little flags, we are done with
our first sketch. In the next part, we will
create a little dragons.
3. Sketching the Dragon: Let's start by zooming in our
Canvas to some blank space. And we will need to start
by creating a guiding line, which will be the curve. Let's just go and create
something like that. You can play with its size. You can play with the curvature. When you have
something like that, we'll go over the top
of our line and we will start by creating
the shape of the head. The shape will be analysed and it will be
horizontally aligned. Let's just go and create
something like that. And as always, you can play
around with this size, so you can play with
everything here. When you have this first shape, we will go to the bottom
and we will create a body. It will be the same ellipse, but this time it will
be aligned vertically. Ledgers go and create
something like that. When you have it, we will need to connect
the shapes and we will need to create a
tail select just go firstly over-the-top and we will do a loan of Irish shapes and we will start creating the curve going from
top to the bottom. And that will end up with a t. When you have
something like that, we will go over our
left side and we will connect the shapes
here to firstly, ledger start from our body part and we will go and
create the curve, go into art sale and
forming this tail. When you have
something like that, Let's just go over the top and let's connect these shapes here. Just go in there and
creating a little foot. When you have some
feeling that alleges go and add our legs and the arts. Firstly, go into the legs. Ledgers go to the shape
that we have for our body. We will do an inquiry to
guides in lines like that. When you have these
guiding lines, we will go and turn them
into their legs and they will have the shape of the
bottom part of the ellipse. Let's just go create
the first one and then later on we will
create the second one. Try to make them
similar size-wise. When you are done with the legs, let just go and create a tiny firstly and then we
will add the arms. We will go to these
same shape of our body. We will go to the left
side and we will create half of the circle or
half of the ellipse here. When you have this shape, we will go and we are
ready to add the arms. So for the arms firstly, let us go over our left side. We will go a little bit above
these sheep of the tummy and we will create similar shape that we have for our leg. You can play with the
angle and with the size. When you have the first arm, Let's move on over
our right side. We will go to the same line
that we have, our first, our own, and we will create
similar shape for the arm. Again, try to make it similar
size-wise to the first arm. And if you need to
adjust some shapes, if you need to erase
some elements to make sure that you're doing
everything right leg. Just grab our eraser tool and erase all the lines
that we don't need. When you are done with
this task ledgers go to the tail and we will turn these various trade
corner instead a curve. So again, softening
up our corner. When you are then lets just grab our eraser tool and let's erase this line
that we don't need. Now when we have our
body than alleges go and add some beautiful
locations for our top part, we will go strictly
from r hat and we will need to create
some cool go in alone. The whole shape of our
body ledgers go firstly, over-the-top birth and we will create the first
shape like that. As always, you can
play with the size, you can play with the
placement, with everything. When you have the first shape, ledgers go all over
our place here. We will create a
few more of them, just connecting them together and changing the
angle a little bit. When you are done with
the comb elements, let us go and add a little wink. We will go here onto
the same side and we will start by creating a
line going up in that way. Just start from the shape on the body and create the
line going diagonally up. When you have it, we will go and create a little
curve on its soap. And then we will go and loop it around and create a few
more loops going down. When you are done
with the loops, you can play around
with their amounts, with their size,
with everything. We will need to go down and we will need to
close the shape. If you want to adjust
the shape in any way, just go and do that. When you are done
with this wing LED, just go and add the
facial features. So firstly, we will need to
find an approximate center. We have this line that is
going through the whole shape, but it's not in the center. So let's just go and
create another curve. We will go and try to
put it in the middle. When you have it, ledgers go and start
by creating the ice. We will go firstly
over our left side and we will put a
little dot here. You can play with its size. You can play with the
distance from the center. It's again up to you when
you have the first eye. Let's move on over
our right side and let's try to do
the same thing here. We will need to put it on the same line and we will need
to keep the distance from the center when you have it's ledgers go and work
onto our mouth. We will go between the eyes
and a little bit down. And we will create firstly, a curve like that. The line and the
end, if you want to, if you want to
edit it even more, go over the top to Edit Shape
and adjust the curvature. E.g. if you don't
want to do anything, ledgers go under this line and let's add some things here. Firstly, going
over our left side and creating a little
triangle here. When you have it
on the one side, you know what you need to do. You will need to go over the other side and repeat
the same thing here. When we are done with our
facial features, ledgers, grab our eraser
tool and who will erase all the lines
that we don't need. The very last thing
that we will add to our Dragon will
be a little fleet. So lets just grab our brush. We will go to this side, to the left one, and we will
create a little flame here. Firstly, ledgers go somewhere
in the middle of our hats. You can just make a little mark down where you want
to start from. And we will go over the top and we will create
the shape like that. So basically we are creating
some loops and we are agents similar shape to the
one that we have here on our little weak. When you are done
with this shape, you can play around
with it in any way. You can just make it straight. You can make it very rounded. Or if you want, you
can play a little bit and make it more
similar to the flames. So e.g. you can work onto this loops and make them
known that rounded, but maybe make them a little
bit more flames alike. E.g. you can make them very straight and maybe
put them a little bit more toward the
opposite side and make these little shapes
more like fleets. When you are done,
we will go inside of this shape and we will
add a little detail here. And these details will
be a little heart. So let us go and we will go along the lines that
we have right here. We will try to repeat them, but we will turn
them into a heart. So firstly, let just
repeat these two lines and then we'll go over the top and we will create a heart here. You can play with its size. If you want to add more details, you are welcome to do it. And when you are done, we are done with
our second sketch. In the next part, we
will add a princess.
4. Sketching the Princess: Let's say I draw in our
princess by finding some blank space and creating a vertical line going
from top to the bottom, it will represent the
approximate center and it will be easier for us to
position our sheets on it. So let's just go and create this line going from
top to the bottom. At the end, we will hold our
Apple Pencil and we will adjust the angle to make
this line straight. If we need to adjust it even
more, we will go over it. It's up to Edit
Shape and we will position it to our liking. When we're done, we will need to go or the top on this slide. And we will start
by creating a face. To create the face, we
will need an Alice. So let's just go and make it. You can do it manually. Just go in and doodling
this shape on the Arabs. But also we can go and
created just with one line. So let's just go and try it out without an holding
your Apple pencil. Let's create a shape
of the ellipse. At the end on the line, we will hold our Apple
Pencil and we will see that we snapped are
shaped to a better one. We can rotate it by moving our Apple pencil in a
circular direction. And we can make it
smaller or bigger by moving our Apple
pencil from side to side. So find what works for you in
the size and the position. And if you need to
adjust it even more, Let's hold our Apple pencil and let's go over the
top to edit shape. Here we can play with the notes. And if we need to move our
shape more to the center, we will hold our Apple
pencil on some blank space and we will just move it in
accordance with our vision. If we need to rotate this
shape from these modes, we will go between the nodes. We will hold our Apple Pencil, add the line, and we will
make a circular movements. So find what works for you. If you need to play with
the notes, play with them. If you need to rotate
it, rotate it. If you need to place it
more toward the center, just go and do that. And when you are then we will tap on the screen with one of our fingers or with our Apple Pencil and we will
go away from this milk. Now when we have this
shape for the face, ledgers go m3 the ears. So we will go to this site. And if it's easier for you, you can just go and find
an approximate center by creating a horizontal line
going through this sheet. If you don't want to do it, just go and create a little half circle
on one of the sites. Let's just start
from the left side. We will go to this side and we will create
a shape like that. Hold it at the end
if you want to, if you need to adjust it, you know what you need to do. You will need to go
up to Edit Shape. When you have this first year, we will need to go
over our right side and we will need to add
the same shape here. Again, if you want, you can go and you can create auxiliary lines to help you
to put it on the same place. If you feel brave, just go there and create the ear
all by yourself. Try to make it
similar to the shape that you have over
your left side. If you need to adjust it, go up to Edit Shape. Remember that now we are
creating just a sketch. It is a scheme. Later on we will make
everything clean and nice. So don't worry if all the shapes are not
similar to one another. When you are done
with this task, let just go above our head
and we will add the hair. So firstly, we will go to
this intersection that we have with our line that is
going vertically and we, the whole shape of our head. And from this
intersection we will go and create the part
of the hair. So e.g. let's firstly go over
our right side and we will go to this intersection and create a curve like that. You can play with its size. You can play with the curvature. It's all up to you. We will need to create
something like that. If it's not happening
from the first try, try it out one more time. Play around with the
size on this element. If you want to go a little
bit further from the ear, or maybe closer to the ear. It's all up to you when you
have the curve that you like. Let's just grab our
eraser tool and we will erase all the lives
that we don't meet. When you have this
line on one side, Let's move on to the
opposite side and let's try to repeat something
similar here. Again, just go into this intersection and
creates in a similar line. You can play around
with its size. You can play around with
the distance from the ear. It's all up to you. We will need just to end
up with something similar to the shape that we have
over our right sets. And again, if it's not
happening from the first try, try it out one more time and find the curve
that works for you when you are done and when you have the
line that you like, Let's just grab our
eraser tool and we will erase all the lines
that we don't need. Now when you have two
parts, only here, we will go to the
bottom part and we will connect them
with another curve. So let us go firstly
over our left side and let's create the curve
going through the whole sheep. You can play around
with its size. You can play around whether
you want to put it, play around with a curvature. It's all up to you. Hold your land and the ends. If you want to adjust it, go over the top to
Edit Shape and play with the curvature if you
want it when your hands down, Let's tap on the screen. Let's grab our
eraser tool and we will erase everything
that we don't meet. Now we have the base on the hair and ledgers
go and add some banks. So again, we go into this
intersection on the top and we will create similar curves that we have over the top part, but this time they
will be inverse. So we argue in and creating
the opposite curve. Let's just go over our
left side firstly, and let's create the curve here. We will end it
right onto our ear. When you have it, we will go to the opposite side and we will do the
same thing here. If you want, you can play with
the curvature on the line. You can make them not similar to one another on both sides. It's your time to play
with the banks here. If you want to cover an ear, you can go and do that. Just find what works for you. And when you aren't done, just grab our eraser
tool and we will erase all the lines
that we don't need. Now when we have
our hair alleges go over the top and we
will add the crown. We will go again to this intersection that
we have in the middle. We will stop a little bit
from it to this side. So e.g. to the left one and we will create
a line going up. You can make it straight or you can make it a little
bit diagonal. It's all up to you when
you have it on one side. Let's go to the opposite one and let's do the
same thing here. We will just mirror the
slide when you have it, we will go and we will need to connect these lines
over the top part. And we will need to create
something like that. When you add them, ledgers go and add the facial features. We have this line that is
going through the center. So let just go over
our left side. Firstly, we will add the I here ledgers go and
create a shape like that. You can play with the
position over it. You can play with the size. It's all up to you. You can hold your line and the answer is never
to a better shape. If you need to adjust it, go up to Edit Shape. When you have the first
I let just go and add some eyelashes ledgers go below this little line that we just created and add a
few lines like that. When you have the
eye on one side, we will need to go
to the opposite side and we will need
to repeat it here. We will need to put the
I on the same line. We will need to
keep the distance from the center
similar to the one that we have or our left side and we will need
to keep the sides. So let's just go
and try to do that. Again. We're just go in and creating
the half of the circle. Cool, July and the end. If we need to, we will go
over this up to Edit Shape. And here we can
position our eye or play with a distance and
play with the curvature. So find the position and the curvature that
works for you. Tap on the screen and ledgers
go and add our eyelashes. When you have the eyes, ledgers go underneath them and
we will add little cheeks. We will just go there and create the shape of the
circle or an ellipse. As always, you can play with
the size and the position. And if you want to
create the circles, hold your Apple pencil firstly at the end of the
line and hold one of your fingers on
the screen to snap it to a perfectly round circle. Adjust the size. If you need to adjust it
even more, go over it. It's up to Edit Shape To find the position
that works for you. And when you had the
first cheek on one side, Let's move on to
the opposite one. And let's do the same thing
here, just given there. And firstly, creating
the shape of the circle. Hold your line and the end. Hold one of your fingers on the screen and adjust the size. Go over the top to edit shape
to adjust the placement. When you are done, Let's tap on the screen to get
away from this mode. And let's just go
between the eyes and we will add a
little Smiley mouth. We will repeat the same shape
that we have for the eyes, but maybe this time we
will make it a little bit more curvy and maybe
make it smaller. Let's just go and try it out. As always, hold your
line and the end, adjust the size,
adjust the placement, adjust the curvature if you
need to adjust it even more, go over the top to Edit Shape, find what works for you. And now we are done
with the face. So let's continue by
creating the neck. We will go under the face and we will create
a little rectangle. Firstly, it lead you step a little bit from
this middle line that we have and we will create
a little line like that. You can play around with
the thickness on the Mac. It's all up to you. If it's not working, just undo it and try
it one more time. When you have the
line over one side, Let's move on to the
opposite side and let's add another line here. When you earn done
with this task, just go and continue by
adding their body parts. Firstly, we will start
by creating a rectangle. Ledgers go right under the
neck that we just created. And we will create a
rectangle like that, just with one line the same
way as we did with our face. Hold it at the end. And if you need to
adjust it even more, we will go over the
top to edit shape. If we have the option rectangle
here, we can select it. If we don't, we can go to the notes and we can
adjust it manually. So now let's just go and
play around with our nodes. Let just try to
make them straight. And if you want to make
it smaller or bigger, it's up to you just go and move the nodes to your
liking size-wise, we will need to
make these shapes similar to the size of the hats, maybe a little bit smaller
or a little bit bigger. When you have it, we will
tap on this screen and we will go under it and we
will create another rectangle. This time, it will be
a little bit bigger. So one more time
alleges guilt there and we will create the rectangle
just with one line. Hold it at the end,
and let's go over it. It's up to Edit Shape. If we have the option rectangle
layer, just tap on it. If we don't let just go and
manually adjust the shape. When you are done
with this rectangle, Let's make sure that our sites are similar
to one another. If we need to move this
shape, Let's just move it. And when you are done,
Let's just tap on the screen and let's continue
adjusting our shapes. So now when we have
these two rectangles, let just go to the bottom
one and we will turn the slides that we have over
the sides into the curves. So let's just go
over our left side and we will create the
curve here like that. Hold it at the end
if you want to, when you have it on one side, Let's move on to
the opposite side. And let's do the
same thing here. When you are done with
this part alleges go over the top elements that
we will have for our body and we will
add noodle arms. So firstly, let us go
over our left side. We will go to this
intersection on the top and we will create
a curve going down. You can play with its size. So you can play
with the curvature. It's all up to you
when you have it, we will need to add
some thickness ledgers, go a little bit under
this line that we just created and we will
repeat this same curve. You can just repeat the line, or if you want to play around, you can do that here. So e.g. allege us make the top part a little bit
smaller than the bottom parts. In the end, we will
create a little curve if you want to play
around and make me make this shape a
little bit smaller, It's all up to you. If you want to make
the lines curvier. Again, it's up to you when you had the shape
that you like ledgers grab our eraser tool and we will erase all the lines
that we don't meet. Now when you have the first arm alleges go and add a
little detail here. So we will stop a
little bit from the bottom and we will
create a line like that. That's 0 part will
represent the dress and the bottom part
will be just a hint. When we have our arm and
the hand on one side, Let's move on to
the opposite side, and let's do the
same thing here. So again, go into
this intersection on the top and firstly
creating the curve going down and trying
to make it similar to the one that we have
over our left sides. Hold it at the ends
if you need to. And when you have
the first curve, ledgers go and create
the bottom one, a jazz the lines. And when you are in Zan ledgers, grab our eraser tool and erase everything
that we don't meet. When you are done with
this task, ledgers, grab our brush one more
time and we will create this dividing line
that will show where the dress ends and
the hand begins. Now when we have this
scheme like that, Let's just go and
add more details. So firstly, let us go to
this part that we have on its own and we will go
right in the middle of it, or a little bit above,
or Elizabeth below. And we will add a
little heart here. Just go firstly to one side, create the curved like that. And when you have
it on one side, you know what you need to do. You will need to go
or the next side and you will need to repeat
this same line here. Play around with the size, play around with the
position of these elements. And when you are done, ledgers go over the bottom
part to this skirt. We will go firstly over our corner that we have
on the bottom left, and we will create
a curve like that. Hold it at the end
if you want to. And when you are
done with one side, Let's move on to the
opposite side and let's repeat the same curve. Again, hold it and the Yan's, when you are done, ledgers
go and add the legs. One more time. We are going to the bottom part. We are stepping a
little bit from our line that we
have in the middle, and we will create two
lines going down like that. You can play around
with the size. You can play around with the
distance from the center. It's all up to you. When you have these lines, let just go and connect them with a horizontal
line on the WhatsApp. When you have it, we will go under this line that
we have just created. And we will create
a little triangle that will represent the shoes. When you have this lag and this little food that you
have over the left side. Let's move on to
the right side and let's repeat it here again, starting by creating two lines that will represent the lek. We will need to remain
the same distance from the center when we
have these two lines, Let's just go and connect
them with a horizontal line. And when we have the
horizontal line, we will go and create a little
triangle for the shoot. And now we have this
scheme on the princess. Later on when we're going
to be aiding the colors, we will adjust it even more and it won't be
that rectangular. Now, let us move on
to the next part where we add some
miscellaneous objects.
5. Sketching Miscellaneous Objects: Before starting with our
miscellaneous objects, ledgers go to our
Canvas and maybe make our position of the
elements and their size. Ellis, it will be different. We will go one-by-one, select our objects
and adjust them. To do so, we will need to go to our top-left corner
and we will need to select this S ribbon icon. Let's just tap on it. And on the bottom
we will see that we have this panel where
we need to select freehand methods when we did it lead to start from
our little castle, we will need to
select this object. So we are going into our
canvas and just with our Apple Pencil creating
the shape like that, we will need to
loop it around and we will need to
close this shape. When you have only
this object selected, we will need to go to
the transform tool, which is our heirarchy
on the top-left. So when we have only
these shapes selected, we go into this arrow key
and we are tapping on it on the bottom we
have the similar panel. And here we need to
select uniform methods. You can see that we
have the bounding box and we can go and
adjust this elements. We can adjust the placement, we can adjust the size, everything that we
want to adjust here. So firstly, legis move
with Ellis, let me down. And to do so, we
will need to go to some blank space onto our
canvas with our Apple pencil. We want you to hold it there and just move it to the place that we want when you found
the placement alleged. Just make this whole object
a little bit bigger. To do so, we will
need to go to one of the corners to the node
that we have here. And we will need to
move it up or down depending on the node
that you are taking. Lead just go over our top left nodes and we
will move it diagonally up. When you found the
size that you like, we can go and adjust
it even more. So e.g. we can make
it a little bit narrower or Elizabeth
shrink down, e.g. let's just go and select another option that
is called free form. With this option, we will go to the node that we have in
a center on the bottom, and we will just drag
it a little bit up when you are satisfied
with everything here, let just tap onto our S ribbon icon to
deselect everything. Or if you want to continue
adjusting your shape, Let's just go and adjust
them to your liking. Find the position and the size that works for you
when you are done, we will tap on the
S ribbon icon. When you are done
with this object, ledgers go and
select another one. So e.g. one more time
we are going back to our S ribbon icon and we will
select our adrenaline here. Let us go and create the shape
with the selection tool, loop it around, select
only this object. When you are ready, ledgers go to our arrow key and find the
position that we like. Again, ledger start from
the uniform methods. If you want to adjust this size, Let's just go to one of
the nodes and drag it. If you want to
rotate your shape, we will go over the top to this green nodes
and we will hold our Apple pencil
there and we will rotate it in a
circular direction. If he wants to adjust
the shape even more, you can try out
free form method or any other method that you can find on to this bottom panel. Or if you're satisfied
with your sheep ledgers go and deselect everything by
hitting R S ribbon icon. And one more time, let's select our last object, which is our princess, the same way as before. Just go into our S
ribbon icon free, hence method selecting
the objects, lipids around, select
only your princess. And when you are done, ledgers go to the arrow
key and let's adjust it. E.g. let's start by making
it a little bit smaller. Let's just go to
the node that we have over our top-right, and we will drag it down. If you want to find a different placement
for your own jet, just go and do that. If you want to
adjust it even more, go to the free form method and adjust it when you are enzyme, Let's deselect everything
by hitting R S ribbon icon. And now we can continue by adding some
additional elements. Let's start by going
between their roofs of our little castle and we will
create a little cloud here. So we are doing there and
creating the shape like that. Just create a few loops, loop them around and create
a shape of the clubs. Close this shape and
when you are done, ledgers go inside it and let's
add the facial features. So one more time we are
going inside the shape. We are going to one
on this side and we will create a
little eye here. Firstly, let's create
a shape like that. Hold it at the end, a jazz this size. Adjust the placement
if you need to, if you need to
adjust it even more. Let's go over the
top to edit shape when you found the
placement and the size, Let's just go over
the opposite side and let's add the second. So we will need to put
it on the same line. We will need to keep
the distance from the center and we will need
to keep the same size. Hold the line, go
over the top to edit shape to adjust
it if you need to. And ledgers go and
add a little mouth. We will go right
between the eyes and we will create a
little Smiley mouth. So we are creating
the opposite shape from the shape of the eye. Play with the size, play with the curvature. If union so adjusted your
over-the-top to edit shape. When you're done, let just go underneath the eyes and
let's add little cheeks. So the same way as we
did with our princess, we are doing underneath
the eye and we are starting by creating the
shape of the circle. July and the nth hold one of
your fingers on the screen, a jazz this size. If you need to adjust
the placement, go over the top to edit shape. When you have the first cheek, let's move on to
the opposite side and let's repeat it there. So again, just starting
by creating a circle, hold the line and the end. Hold one of your fingers on
this green edge as the size. And if you need to
adjust the placement, go over the top to Edit Shape. And now we are done
with our little clouds. So let's continue
by creating a son. We will go and start by creating the shape of the circle
the same way as before. Just go in and create and
adjust with one line. Hold it and the hands hold
one of your fingers on the screen to snap to a
perfectly round shape. Adjust the size of your elements by moving
your Apple Pencil. And when you are done, digest and hold everything
that we are holding right now. And when we have this shape, ledgers go inside of it and let's add the
facial features. So again, just go into one side. Firstly, if you need to, you can just create one line
that is going vertically. One line that is
going horizontally is to find the
approximate center. And if it's easier for you, you can add the
facial features in that way if you feel it, very bold ledgers go and create the facial features all by ourselves without
any auxiliary lines. Let's firstly go over
our left side and let's add a little dot
for the first eye. You can play with this size. So you can play
with the placemats when you have it
over the first side. Let's move on to
the opposite side and let's put the second eye. We will need to put it on the same line and we
will need to keep the distance from
this side similar to the one that we have
over the left side. So let's just go
and try to do that. When you have these two isolate, just go and add a little mouth. We will go right between
the eyes and we will start by creating a
little ellipse like that. When you have it on one side, we will need to go to the opposite side and we
will need to mirror it. On the bottom, we will
start from the same dot. We are intersecting
these two ellipses. And when we hand the sheep, we will just go inside of
it and we will shade it. So basically we have
created a little hearts. When you have it, ledgers go underneath
the eyes and let's add little
cheeks if you want to. So again, the same
way as before, just going there and starting by creating the shape
of the circle. Hold your line and the end. Hold one of your
fingers on the screen, adjust the size to your liking. And if you need to
adjust it even more, if you need to adjust
the placement, go over the top to edit shape when you have
the first cheek, let's move on to
the opposite side and let's add the second cheek. So the same way as before starting by creating
this circle. Hold your line and the end hold one of your
fingers on the screen, a jazz this size and adjust the position by going over
the top to edit shape. Now let's tap on the screen
and if you want to weaken, go and add little eyebrows. So e.g. let's just go above our eyes and let's create
little lines like that. When you have done one side, Let's move on to
the opposite one and let's do the
same thing here. You can play around
with different shapes. It's all up to you when we
have our facial features, Let's just go and
start aging our race. So we will start
by going over the top a little bit above
our sheep on the sun. And we won't go in a circular direction with
the lines like that. You can play around
with their size. You can play around with the
distance from one another. You can play with their amounts. It's all up to you. Now we just need
to go circularly and create a few
lines like that. When we have these lines, we will need to turn them
into little triangles. So let's just go and
start from the top one and we will create
a triangle like that. As always, you can
play with the size. You can play with everything
that you want to play with. And when we have the
first triangle ledgers go along these lines and we
will add the triangles there to this line that
we have created before will be right in the
center of this triangle. When we are done
agent our triangles, we are done with the sun. Now let's go and find some
place that is blank right now. And let's create a little star. We will go there, e.g. and we will create
it in that way. If you're feeling
very confident, you can start by creating
the lines like that. She'll just go in
alone the shape and creating the whole star. Or if it's easier for you, you can start like
that by creating this star in that way and then turn this very
straight corners into the software and erase all the
lines that you don't meet. When you have it. We will go inside
of the shape and we will add some
facial features. So again, let me just
start by creating the ice. We will go over the
left side firstly, and we will add the first dot. Play around with this size, play around with the
placement when you have the first ILS grade, the second I own
the opposite set. Try to keep the same size, try to put it on the
same line and try to put it on the same place that you
have it over the left side. When you have it, ledgers go
and add our little mouth. You can play around with
the shape of the mouth. So e.g. let's just go and
create a little kiss him up. Basically, we will need
to go between the eyes and we will need to
create a digit three. If you want, you can
go over the top on the eyes and you can
add some eyebrows. When you are done, you can go
underneath the eyes and add little cheeks if
you don't want to let continue by creating
another object. Let's continue by creating a little envelope
with a love letter. So let's just go to some
place that we have blank now and we will start by
creating a little rectangle. So the same way as always, just go in there and with one line we are
creating the sheep and we will hold it at the yet if you want to
adjust it even more, Let's go over the
top to edit shape. If you have the
option rectangle, you can tap on it. If you don't have it, just go manually and a
Jazz your little sheep, if you want to place it
differently or if you want to make it bigger or
smaller, It's up to you. When you are satisfied
with the Shape Layer, just tap on the
screen and let's go inside of this shape and
let's create some lines here. Firstly, we will go
over the top part and we will create
LSL triangle there. So just go firstly
over our corner on the top-left and creating
the line like that, hold it and the Yan's
if you want to. And when you are done, ledgers go over our right side and let's continue by creating a diagonal line going
through this corner that we have over the top-right. When you have it, alleges go to the corners that we have
over our boards and parts. Firstly, to the left side. And we will create
a line like that. When you have it, we will go to the opposite side and we will
add the same line there. You can play with the angle, you can play with the
whole line in general. And when you have this
little envelope ledgers go and add a little
heart in the middle. We will seal our envelope
with a little hearts. Let just go there and
start by creating a curve like that when
you have it on one side, Let's edit on the opposite sex. Play with this size
and try not to intersect the lines that
you have right here. When you are ready with
your little heart ledgers, grab our eraser tool and we will erase all the lines
that we don't meet. Now we are done
with our envelope. So let just go find
some place and let's continue agents and
miscellaneous objects. So e.g. let us go and add a
little flower right here. We will start by creating
a little curve like that. You can play with the curvature. You can play with this size. Everything is up to you. When you have it. We
will go over the top of it and we will create a
little shape like that. So starting from the bottom and create an FAQ loops like that, closing the shape
when you have it's ledgers grab our
areas are two areas, this line that we don't need, and let's add some leaves. So go into this little
stem that we have, go into one side firstly, and creating this shape like that when you haven't
done one side, Let's move on to
the opposite side and let's add the similar shape. If you want to add similar
flowers somewhere else, ledge as guilt and z, that when you are done
with your flowers, allege us go and
create a magic ones. We will find someplace. And we will start by
creating a line going down. When you have the first-line. If you want to make it thicker, you can create another line going a little bit to this side. When you have it, we will
go over the soap and we will add a little stars
or this top area. So the same way as
we have it here, you can start just going boldly and creating
the whole shape. Or you can start by
creating a star like that. You can hold your land. Again. You can
snap this shape to a better shape if
you need to move it, go over the top to Edit Shape, and let's put it right
onto our little stick. When you have it alleges tap on the screen and if you want to, we can go and smooth
arc Warner's by creating the curves instead
of the various trade corners. If you don't want to just grab an eraser tool and erase all the lines that
you don't need. Now when they have
r-star ledgers go to this teak and we will
add some little winks. Firstly, going over
one on this side and creating the first
shape like that. When you have it, we will go underneath it and we
will repeat it here. If you want, you can play
around with this size. If you don't want
to, you can make them similar to one another when you have these two
shapes over one of the sides, Let's move to the
opposite side and let's mirror that ends
when you have it. We can close the
shape on the bottom. If you have a thick
Stieg and LED gels go to some places that are blank right now and add a few more objects. E.g. ledgers go over the top area and we will
add the beak hard here. So the same way as always, we are starting
from one side and we are creating a
curve like that. When you have a ton of one side, Let's move on to
the opposite side and let's mirror these lines. Just the lines to your liking. And when you're satisfied, ledgers go inside of this shape. And let's add our
facial features. Let's just go and create
two dots for the eyes. Starting from the first eye over the left side and eight in the second eye on
the opposite side, trying to keep the same size
and the same distance from the sites when you
have it allege as guilt between the eyes and
let's add a little mouth. So again, we will start by
creating an ellipse like that. So you can play around with this size when you
have the first Alex, let's move on to the
opposite side and let's create another
ellipse here. When you have this
shape for the math, let's just go and
add some eyebrows. If you want to end the cheeks, let's go underneath our eyes and let's add our
little circles. When you are done with
this big hard allege as goo and find some blank
spaces that we can fill in. E.g. ledgers, find
some blank space and we will add some
berries on this tick. We will add it very easily by creating
this tick like that. Firstly, then we'll go over our sites and create
a few more lines. And these lines, we will
add little circles. If you want to add
the similar objects to some different places, Let's go and do that. And when you are done
with the berries, if you want to add more details, you are welcome to do it. So e.g. let's just go and add
a few more little hearts. If you want to add some
different elements, you are welcome to do just
feel in assembling spaces. And when you are done, we are done with our sketch. In the next part, we
will add the colors.
6. Coloring the Castle: Let's start our color and partly from some tiny preparations, we will firstly go to our layers and we will rename our
layer with the sketch. So later on it
will be easier for us to navigate
through the layers. Let's just go to this layer. Let's just tap on it and
let's choose Rename. Let's go with kitsch. And when we have
rename this layer, Let's just go and create one more layer for
our coloring part. To do so, we will need to do to the top right
and we will need to tap on the plus icon
when you have a new layer, Let's tap on it and let's
rename it as colors. And when we have the new layer, we will need to
put it underneath our layer with the
sketch because we want to see what's happening
onto the layer with the sketch and we
want to recreate it. Ledgers go to this
layer with the colors. When it is selected,
we will hold it and we will drag it under our
layer with the sketch. Now when we have it in that way, we will need to go back to
earlier with this gauge and we will need to change the opacity level of this layer. Opacity means how
transparent you earlier is and how transparent all the
objects onto this layer are. We will need to go
back to this layer. We will select it and we
will tap on the icon. You can see that we have a
list with some titles and also we have this opacity
slider on the top. We can go grab this handle and move it
toward the left side. When you are comfortable
with the opacity level, we can tap one more time, once earlier with this gauge, and we will go back
to earlier with the colors and we will
start adding these colors. We change the opacity level
to make sure that we will see what's happened in
both on earlier with the sketch and on
earlier with the colors. So now let us go back to
early with the colors and we probably can start
adding our calories, but we will need to go
and change the brush. Let's just go back to
our brush library. We will go to the
calligraphy folder and we will choose
monoline brush. While we're still here
under the brush library, we can go and change our
brush just a little bit. Let just tap one more time once a brush and we will get
inside the brush studio. You can see that we
have some titles over the left sides and we will need to go under stabilization. Here you can see that you have the value stream line and
it has the amount slider. That's what we're
going to be changing when the amount is on low value, you can go to the
drawing pad and check out how it works here. So let's just give it
to the drawing pad and create some lines. You can see that it is
repeating your natural flow of the hands and it makes
it very natural. So that means that you
have some jagged lines. It might be not very smooth. If you liked it in that way, you are welcome to use it in a low value of the
amount of streamline. Or if you want to make
your lines very smooth, we will need to go back
to this amount slider and we will need to increase
the streamline value. Now when you increase it, ledgers go to our drawing pad one more time and let's
try out it one more time. Now you can see that you lost a little bit of
control over the line, but your land is very smooth. You can play around with the
amount that works for you. If you don't want to change it, you're welcome not to do that. If you want to play
around with the amount, again, you are welcome to do it. And when you're done, ledgers go and he'd done over
the top-right, we will start eating our colors. Remember that you
can always get back to this value and
you can adjust it. So now, when we have prepared our brush and when
we have a new layer, Let's just go and
select the color. So we are going to
our color palettes, and let's start by creating the colors for our
little castle. So we will start by choosing the color within
the pink lights. Led just tap on it to select. And we can see that we have our castle probably very
similar on both sides. So that means that
we can use one of the options that Procreate
has to ease in-app. Our process ledgers go
to this wrench icon. We will go under Canvas and we will go to
the drawing guides. You can see this value here. We have this little toggle and
we will need to toggle it. You can see that now we have this little grid
that going through the whole shape of our Canvas. But this is not the option
that we need to use right now. So let's just go to
Edit Drawing Guide. And we will see that
we have a new window and this window has a
little panel on the bottom. We will need to use the option
that is called symmetry. Let's just go and tap on it. And when you choose it, you can see that we have this line that is going
from top to the bottom, and it has two little nodes, one blue and one green. The green will let you
to rotate this line. The blue one will let
you just move this line. So we will need to put this
line right in the center of our castle to make sure that it will be mirrored
on the both sides. Ledgers go drag this line
and try to put it in approximate center when you
aren't Dan ledgers he'd done. And we need to make sure
that our layer is not assisted because we are using the assisted
drawing right now, let's just go back to our layers and you can
see that this layer with the colors now has a
little sighted assistance. If we go back to our canvas
and if we just create a line, you will see that
it is mirroring on the opposite side from the one that you are adding
this line on. So that's exactly what we need. Now let us go and adjust
the size of our brush. We are going into this
slider that we have on the top-left and ledgers go and repeat these lines that we
have over the left side, we will start with the
body of our castle legis. Firstly, go and repeat the slides that we
have for the tower. Just go into the
soap and creating the first line the same way
as we did with our sketch. You can just hold your line and the end to create
a straight line. When you have the first line, you can see over
the opposite side, we are creating the same
line on to the next tower. That's exactly what we need. Let's just go and continue
adding the lines on our, it's our our main goal here is to create
the closed lines. Close lines means that
you don't have any gaps. And we need it for later on when we are going to be putting the
color inside these slides. So let just go entropy, the shape of the tower. You don't need to
repeat everything with 100 per cent of similarity. If you want to adjust
some elements, you are welcome to do it. So now when we have this
closed shape of the rectangle, ledgers go and drag and drop the color inside of this shape. To do so, we will need
to go over are at, so prior to this little
icon with a color, we will hold our Apple
pencil there and we will just drag the color
to the needed area. Now you can see how easily
we recolor these objects. When we are done with this part, alleges go and recolor our wall here the
same way as before, we arguing over the left
side or if you want, you can go over there
right side and just create these little pieces
that we have over one of the sides the
same way as before. Just go in and creating
straight lines, hold the line and the ends. And if you need to adjust it, your over-the-top to edit shape. When you've recreated
this shape and when you are sure that you
don't have any gaps, ledgers go and drag
and drop the color. Now we add in the shapes for the main shape
of our castle. And that means that we can go
and create our took parts. Ledgers, go to our
color palettes and we will select
a different color. This time, let's pick up
being bright with this color. We will go to one of
our hours on the top of it and we will recreate
the shape of the roof. Let's just go and
try to do that. You can start by creating
the shape on the triangle. Or if you want, you
can just go entropy the sheet that you have
on say your sketch. Remember that you need to
create a closed shape. When you have the
closed shape layer, just drag and drop the color. And now if you take a look
very carefully to your shapes, you can see that we
have little gaps. Ledgers go to our layers
and just for 1 s, we will hide our layer
with the sketch. We will check out whether we need to change some elements. Maybe we need to
cover some places. And we will go to earlier with the colors and we will
change them manually. So e.g. we have this little
line over the bottom part. So let just go and
manually recolor it. When you are done,
ledgers get vector earliest and we will unhide
our layer with the sketch. So we are going into
this little checkbox and we are tapping on it. Now we can continue
adding details. We can do it on the same layer, or we can go and add another layer and add
the details here. Let's just go and try it
out on the different layer. So again, we are just go into r plus I can, we
are tapping on it. If you want to
rename this layer, you can go and do that. But later on, we will merge
these two layers together so it doesn't matter if you
are a different name here. So we will need to go
to this layer and we will need to manually
make it assisted. So we will need to
do it in that way. We will tap onto this layer, into this little menu. We will need to choose
drawing assist. Now, let us go over one of our sites and let us
try out if it works. If you are repeating the
line on the opposite side, if it's mirroring, that's
exactly what we need. Now let's just go
select another color. This time it will
be dark magenta. And with this color, we will go and add
our little windows. So again, just go into one of the sides and repeating
our shapes that we have on the sketch ledger started by creating
the outlines. And for this window that
we have as a rectangle, we can go and create
the shape just with one line without an
holding our Apple Pencil, holding it on the end, the ends on the line, you can see that we snapped
it to a better shape. And if we need to
adjust it even more, we are going over the
top to edit shape. If we have the option rectangle
here, we will choose it. If don't, we will go and
manually adjust our lines. When you have it, we will tap on the screen and if we need
to adjust it in any way. So e.g. here we have some gaps. We can go and manually do that. Remember that all the lines
should be without gaps. And now when we
have our outlines, lead, just go and add
the colors to them. So again, we are just
starting by going over our top right and
we are dragging and dropping the color to
the first objects. When he did it over the top, you can see that we have the option continue
with recoloring. And you can see that now we have this little handle that we can move to the object that
we need to recolor. Just hold your Apple Pencil and move it to the next window. When you did it, you
will see that you have recovered this object. And we have one more window. So we can go and
just tap inside of this window and we will
recolor it to that easily. We can recover our objects. Now, we will need to go and
deselect everything by going to this icon that is now
highlighted or the top left, which is our magic wand tool. And we can tap on
it one more time to get away with this little list. When we are done
with our windows, let just work on the door. So one more time we are going back to our color palettes and we will start with the color
within the light brown. Let's just tap on it and we
will go back to our Canvas. We will zoom in our Canvas to the door and we
will go or one of the sides and we will
try to recreate what we have on our layer with
the sketch layer, just go and try to do that. Don't worry, if you're arguing a little bit beyond the
frames of your wall, whole Julian and the yens and try to make a smooth connection. If you have something like that, try to do it one more time. Try to make this very smooth. When you add down, Let's just
go over the bottom part and ledgers connect the sheep when
you have the closed shape, when you don't have
any gaps, lead, just go and drag and drop the
color inside of this area. And as we went a little
bit beyond the frames, we will need to solve this
little problem that we have. On the bottom, we can just
grab our eraser tool and try to erase everything with a very high level
of carefulness. But we can go and do
it in a different way. Ledgers go back to our layers. We will give it to this layer
number three where we are adding our details and
we can do this thing. We will tap onto
this layer and from the list we will
select clipping mask. When we are choosing
clipping mask, we are clipping these separately
or to a previous one. And that means that
when we are adding the details or any other
objects onto this layer, they will appear only on the areas that we have
on the previous layer. So you won't be going beyond the frames and you are
not going to be adding any more details beyond the frames on this layer
that you have underneath, you can try it out and
create some lines and you will see that you are
not going beyond the freeze. So now when we have these, we can continue
adding our details. Ledgers go over our layers, and let's create one more layer. We will put this layer underneath our layer
with the castle. So just go to this plus
icon, create a layer. If you don't want to rename
it, don't rename it. If you want, go tap on
it and choose Rename. When you hand this layer, we will hold it and we will put it under our layer
with the colors. And again, we will
need to make sure that this layer is assisted. So let's tap on it
and from the list, we will choose drawing assist. Now, we will select the same color that we
used for our windows. We can go back to
our color palettes and select it from here. Or if we have this
color onto our canvas, we can invoke the
eyedropper tool and select it from here. To do so, we will need to go to our Canvas and
we will need to hold one of our fingers on the color that
we want to pick. Let's just do it until
we see this little too. If you move your finger, you will see that or
that soap on this tool, the color is changing. And in that case, we will need to go to this
color that is dark magenta. And when we have this
color over the top, we will and hold our finger. And you can see that your color on this little tool
or the top-right, is changed now, and that's
exactly what we need. So now with this color, we will go over the
top and we will add this little
stick for the flag. If you want, you can go and change the size of your brush, play around and find
what works for you. Hold your land and the
ants tried to make it very straight
when you are done. And if you need to adjust and go up to Edit Shape
and adjusted, if you're satisfied
with this tick, we will need to add
one more thing. Ledgers, go back to
our color palette and select this color with
the name yellow, orange. With this color, we
will go over the top only stick and we will
add a detail here. So firstly, let us go
and increase the size of our brush and we will add a
little dot over the top part. You can play around with
the size of this elements. And when you are
done with this task, we are done with
our Symmetry tool. So that means that we will
add the rest of the objects, the rest of the details
in a different way. Let's just go and turn
off our asymmetry. To do so, firstly, we will need to go
over our range icon. We will go into Google
Drawing Guide here, you can see that this
line of symmetry that we're going from top to
the bottom disappeared. But we won't need to
do one more thing. We will need to go back to our layers and we
will manually needs to adjust these layers and turn off assisted drawing here. So let's just go and
start from the bottom. We will tap on the
layer and we will choose Drawing Assist
from the list. When this little
title disappeared, we will go to the next layer and we will do the
same thing here. Tap on the layer,
choose Drawing Assist, and one more time, tap on the layer and choose
Drawing Assist. Now we can go and add all
the rest of our details. Firstly, let just start from
the bottom layer we will go to earlier for where we
have added our sticks. On the top, we will select the same color that we
use for our windows and we will read
this rope ledgers go and invoke our
Eyedropper Tool. Hold in one of our fingers on the color that
we want to choose. And I'm holding it
when we have it. Let's just go and create
this rope very easily. Just create an arc curve and holding it and
the ends of the line. Hey Jazz the angle. And when you are done, we can continue by adding
the rest of the elements. We will need to take a look at our picture and we will need to understand which elements will overlap the other elements. So e.g. if we take a look at our robe and onto our little
elements over the top part, we can see that our flux will be underneath our little lines
that we have on this layer. So we can go and add the
details on the same layer, but it will be a little
bit hard for us to just go create this lines very carefully and maybe then grab our eraser tool and erase the rest of the areas
that we don't need. So it will be easier for us
to create another layer, put it underneath our layer with this rope and
with these sticks. And we can just add the
details onto this layer. And later on, we can just merge these two layers together. So let's just go and
do it in that way. So firstly, we will go on to our layers and we will
create one more layer. So let's just tap
on the plus icon. And this new layer we will
need to put underneath earlier with the rope and
with these two sticks. So when it is selected, we will hold it and
we will put it under. When we have this layer, we will go to our color palette. We will select some
color and we will start aging are a little flex. Let's start with the
color with the name Sian. When we have this color, Let's just go and repeat
the shapes of our flex. When you hand the sheep led, just drag and drop the color. Remember that you need to close the shape to use
this option when you had the first flag over the top ledgers go
over our right side, and let's create
another flag here, drag and drop the color. And when you are ready, ledgers go and add the color to these flags that
we have on the rope. You can start with
a similar color that you used or that soap, or you can go and select
the different color, e.g. let us start and create our first flag with
the same color, just going over
the lines that we have on this gauge
and recreating them. Remember that we will
need to close the shape, drag and drop the color. And when you are ready, ledgers go to our color palettes and let's let another color. So e.g. let's
select this yellow, orange with this color, we will go to the next flag
and we will recreate it. When you hand the
second flag, ledgers, get back to our color palettes and let's let another color. So e.g. let's select this
bright pink with this color. We will go and recreate
the next flack. One more time. Let's just get back to
our color palettes. Select the color that you like, and when you have it alleges, get back to our canvas and
recreate the last flag. When you are ready
just for 1 s ledgers get back to our
leaders and we will hide our layer with the sketch. We will check out whether
everything is nice and clean, whether we need to
change some parts, maybe erase some details if
everything is looking okay, we will just go back to
our layers and we will merge that ledgers go to
this layer number four, where we have our robe and these two sticks over the
top part of our castle. We will select it,
we will tap on it, and from this list we
will choose Merge Down. Now you can see that
these details are on one layer and the
same thing we can do with our main layer
with the colors and with this layer with the
details that are underneath. So let's just go to our
layer with the colors. Let's select it,
Let's tap on it. And again, let's
choose merge down. Now we have our castle and all the main elements
on this layer. What we need to do next is to go back to earlier with
the details and add a few more details
because we have some ledgers get back to
earlier with this gage, we will unhide it. Make sure that you're on the
layer with these details, with the windows, with
this little door. And let's just go and add
a few more in details. Firstly, let us go
and work on our door. We will need to add
these fibers here. And again, if we just go and
select the color, so e.g. it will be brown. If we start adding
these details, we will be going beyond their friends and it's
not what we need. We can go and adjust these two. We will need to get
back to our layers. We will select this layer three. We will tap on it and we
will choose alpha lock. You can see that now you have the checkerboards
once a year earlier, and that's exactly what we need. It works similarly to
the clipping mask, but it is on the same layer. That means that if
you will go and see if it will start
adding some details, you will be aiding them
only on the existing areas. So now let us go and
create this little fibers. When you are done ledger select the same color that we
use for our windows. And with this color, we
will add the handout. So again, we are invoking
our eye dropper tool. Just go into the
area that we want to pick the color from
and hold in one of our fingers when you have
the needed color and hold your finger and ledgers go and add
this little handout. When you are done with the door, let just go and add the
rest of the details. So one more time we are going
back to our color palettes. And let's start by
aiding the breaks. We will go and select the
color with the name pink salt. With this color, we will go to our bricks and we
will recreate them. But when you have selected
the color and if you go to your tower and if you
start adding your bricks, you will see that
nothing is happening. That's because we have
our Alpha lock on. So let's just get back
to the earliest alleged. Just tap once on our layer three and we will select
Alpha Lock from the least. Now, when it is turned off, we can go over all of the areas and we can
add the colors here. Just go back to our
breaks and let's recreate that same as before. Let just start by
creating the outlines. Now for convenience,
ledgers get back to our layers and we will hide
our layer with this gage. We will check out where there
are breaks our old clothes, or if we need to go
and erase some parts, we'll grab our eraser tool
and we will change them. And when you are
done with this task, we will go and start adding the color to one of the breaks. So just go into our
top right corner and dragging and dropping the
color to the area inside. And we will continue
feeling with recolor. When we have this little handle, we will move it to another break and then we will just go and
tap on the rest of that. When you are done,
let just tap onto our magic one tool one more
time to deselect everything, sapling it one more
time to get away from this little leaf ledgers, get back to our layers, and let's unhide our
layer with the sketch. Let check out whether we
need to add more details. And yes, we need, we will need to go and add
some details on the roof. So let us get back to early
and number three, ledgers. Get back to our color palettes. And let's select the color
with the name almost pink. With this color, we will go and add these little
lines on the roof. When you're done with
the first tower, move on to the opposite side
and do the same thing here. If you want to add more details, go and do that. When you are done
with these elements, let us get back to our layers. Let's hide early with
this gauge and lead. Just take a look
at our picture and if everything is looking
quite nice for you, we are done with our
first illustration. That means that we can go to
our Lee and number three. And if we don't want to
adjust anything here, we can merge these
two layers together. So let just go tap on it and
we will choose merge down. Now you can see that
the title changed. It is now layer five. So that means that we can go tap on the layer choose Rename, and we can call it castle. Now we are done with
our first illustration. In the next part, we will
be creating our princess.
7. Coloring the Princess: Let's start with our
princess by going to our layers and we will unhide
our layer with the sketch. So let's just go to
this little checkbox. We will tap on it
and in that way we will know what we need to do. Now. We will need to take a look
at our picture and we need to understand which objects will be overlapped by other objects. Which of them will be in the backgrounds and which of them will be in the foreground. So let's start with the ground. If you take a look,
you will see that later on when we are going
to be editing the colors, this object will be
in the background. So let's just start from it. We will get back to
our layers and we will create one more layer
for these objects. Ledgers tap on the plus
icon and if you want, you can go and
rename this layer. Now when we have a new layer, we will need to prepare it to create our object
when it is selected, we are going back to our
orange icon or the top-left. We are going to the
canvas and we are. So Glenn drawing guides. Now you can see that
this line of symmetry is going through the
shape of our castle. And that means that we
will need to change it. We will need to move
it to our princess. So now let us go to
Edit Drawing Guide. We're arguing to
the symmetry and we have these two nodes wanted
these symmetry line. So let's just grab the
blue one and we will move it right in the
middle of our princess. When you are ready ledgers
he'd done over the top-right. Now we need to make sure that
our earlier East assisted. So let's just go
and check it out. We will go back to our
layers and you can see that layer number three
now is not assisted. We will need to turn
it on manually. So let's just tap on it. And from this list, we will select Drawing Assist. When you hand this little title, you are good to go and you are ready to create your object. So now let's just zoom
in our Canvas ledgers, get back to our color
palettes and select this color with the
name yellow, orange. With this color, we
will go over one on this side and we will start
by creating the outline. You can use all the options and all the tools
that we use before. You can hold your
line and the ants, you can make it straight
by going over it. It's up to Edit Shape. If you need to adjust it, just go and create the
outline of the top shape. Remember that to
adjust the colors, to add them to
this little crown, we will need to have
all the lines close. That means that we
don't need to have any gaps in that way when
we have the top part of our crown alleges go
over the bottom part and let's close the shape
with any line that you like. We will need to make
it a little bit lower than we have our hair. So later on we don't have
any problems with the hair. So let's just go and
create some line here and connect our sheep. When you have it, we
will just go over our top-right corner and we will drag and drop the
color to this object. Now, when we have our crown, we are ready to go
back to our layers, create one more layer and
create other details. So let's just start by
tapping on the plus icon. If you want to rename this
layer for your convenience, you can do that into this
layer we will be creating here and Lex ledgers go
to our color palettes. And we will start by selecting the color with the
name dark magenta. With this color, we
will go and create our hair the same way
as with the crown. We are starting by
creating an outline. These outlines should be closed. But before starting
making this outline, as we have created a new layer, we will need to turn on
Drawing, Assist on it. So again, we are going
back to our layers. We are tapping on
this layer number four and we are selecting
drawing assist. Now, if we get back
to our canvas, we can create one outline and it will be mirrored
on the opposite side. Let's just go and try that
the same way as before. You can hold your
line and the yen to snap it to a better life. And when you have
the first outline over one of the sides, ledgers go and continue creating this slide
on the bottom, make a nice connection
between two lines. And if you need to adjust it, grad Eraser tool and erase everything that
you don't need to make sure that the whole outline is closed and when
you are ready, ledgers drag and drop
the color insects. Now we have our color for the hair and on the same layer we will
go and add the legs. So firstly, let us get back to our color
palettes and we will start by creating the color
within the same light, pink. When we have this color, we will go to one
of the sides and we will recreate our ellipse here, ledger started from
this rectangle. You can create a rectangle
just with one line. Hold your line and neons
if you need to adjust it, Let's go up to Edit Shape. If we have the option rectangle
here, we can choose it. If we don't have it alleges
go and manually adjust it. When you have the
needed cheap ledgers, tap onto our screen and let just go and add the color
inside of this shape. And when we have the
shape for the leg, leg just one more time, get back to our color palettes. We will select the same color
that we use for the hair, dark magenta and on the boards. And we will create
this little triangle. When you have this shape lead, just drag and drop our
color inside of this shape. Let's go to our layers. We will hide earlier
with this gauge and we will make sure that
everything is looking fine. If you need to
adjust some parts, if you miss color
at some places, or if you need just
to go and grab your eraser tool and
adjust your shapes, go and do that. And when we are done, ledgers get back to
our layers and we will unhide our layer
with the sketch. Now we can just go
to these two layers, one with a crown, one with the hair and legs. And we can merge
them together so we can go over one of the
layers on the top. We will tap on it and we
will choose Merge Down. And when we merge these
two layers together, lead us go and create
one more layer on which we will
create our dress. So I just tap on the plus icon. If you want to rename
this layer, go for it. We will need to make it
assisted one more time. We are tapping on
the layer and we are choosing Drawing Assist. Now when this layer is assisted, ledgers get back to our
color palettes and we will select the color with
the name being right. We will start by going over the bottom part to this skirt, and we will create the skirt. So let us go and play
around with our shapes. You can do and created very rectangular the same way as
you have it on this gauge. Or you can connect
it with its apart. So they just go and
create the first curve. As always, use all the
instruments that you know, hold your line and the ends. If you need to adjust the curve, go over and it's
up to Edit Shape. Play around with the notes. Find what works for you. And when you are done, LED just tap on the screen
to get away from this mode. And we will go over
the bottom part and we will connect
our dress here. Remember that all
the lines should be closed when you have it's
Alaska or that soap bars. And we will do the
same thing here. We will connect our skirt
over-the-top parts. And when you have it, alleges go and drag
and drop the color. Now we have this skirt and let's work on the
boards and part. We will add a different color to this little triangle to
make it very accurately, we know how to do that. We will need to go back to our layers we will
tap onto earlier with this skirt and we will choose Alpha Lock
when we did it, we will just go back
to our color palettes. We will select the color
either Sian or light serum, and we will add this color
to this little triangle. When you hand the color LED, just go and create
our little curve. Make a nice connection
over the soap. And when you are ready, we can just go and drag and
drop the color to this area. But before doing it, ledgers go back to our
layers and just for 1 s, we will hide our layer
with the sketch. Now make sure that you are on
the layer with this skirt. And let us go to our color icon and we
will drag and drop it. If you have the results
like that, don't worry, don't and hold your Apple pencil and take a look at the top. Here we have eyelids, a line which is blue, which is called color
dropped threshold. If we don't hold our Apple Pencil and if
we move it to the left, you will see that only
this area that we want to recolor
now is recolored. And also you can notice that
if you move it too far, you will have a
little gap between the outline and these areas
that you have just recolored. So you need to be quite accurate and you
will need to find the position of this threshold when you don't have this line, or if you have just
a little line, you will need to unfold
your Apple pencil and go to this area and manually
recolor this line. So let's just go and
very quickly do that. Now we are ready
with our skirts. So that means that
we can go back to our layers and we can get back
our layer with the sketch. Now, we can continue
by creating our arms, but before doing it alleges get back to earlier
with this curve. We will tap on it and we will
deselect alpha log here. When we did it, we will create one more layer for our arts. Again, go into r plus icon, and we will need
to make this layer assisted tapping on this layer and choosing Drawing Assist. Now when we have this new layer, ledgers get back to our
color palettes and we will select the color
with being soft, we will go over one
on the sides and we will repeat the
shape of the arm. Close this shape. And when you are ready a ledger drag and drop
the color to this area. And now we will go and
turn on Alpha lock onto this layer to recolor
the bottom part of the arms. So again, going
back to our layers, tapping on this layer five with our arms and select
an alpha lock. Now when alpha
lock is turned on, we are getting back to our
color palettes and we are selecting the color with
the name pink light. With this color, we will go or the bottom part and we
will recolor the arms. If you want to add more details, you are welcome to do it. So e.g. let's
decrease the size of our brush and let's
create a few stripes. If you want to make sure that
everything is looking fine, you can just get
vector year lease and hide your LEA with
this gauge easier. I satisfied with the result. We can unhide earlier with this gauge and we can merge
these two layers together, the one with the skirt and
the one with the arms. So to do so, we will need to go back to earlier with the arms. We will tap on it and we
will choose merge down. And now we are ready
to go and create this top part of
the dress ledgers. Get back to our color palettes and let's select
the same color that we used for the skirt being
bright with this color, we will go and create
this subparts. You can play around
with this shape. Just go and repeat what
you have on your sketch. When you are done with
this shape layer, just drag and drop the color inside and let us get
back to our list. And we will hide our
layer with the sketch. And we will check out whether we need to adjust some parts. We can go and erase this little
parts over the shoulder. So lets just grab
our eraser tool and we will erase everything
that we don't meet. Make this whole shape
or the top very smooth. And when you are done
with the eraser, ledgers, get back to our brush
and manually ledgers go and recolor these
two little objects, and now we have the dress. So ledgers get back
to the earliest. We will unhide our layer
with the sketch and we will check out whether we need
to add some details. We have this little heart. So let just go select a
different color and let's edit. We will get back to our
color palette and we will select the color with
the name almost pink. With a scholar, we will go
and recreate our hearts. When the outline is ready. Ledgers go and drag and drop the color if you
need to adjust it. If you have this little
gap between the outline and the main shape
ledgers, go check it out. We will just need to go back to our layers height
earlier with this gauge. And if we need to adjust it, we will go and
manually adjust it. If you want to add
more in details, you are welcome to do it. E.g. ledgers get back to our layers and we will go to
this layer with the dress. We will tap on it and we
will choose Alpha Lock. Now, we will go and add a little bouts with
the same color. Let's just go to this area
where we have the top and the bottom meeting and we will just create a
little belt here. Just go and increase
the size of your brush. And let's create a
little line like that. Try to make it smooth. If you need to adjust it, go over the top to Edit Shape. Ethan need to adjust
the shape here. Don't use the eraser tool. We will need to go and select the same color that
we already have. So e.g. this pink one, we can do it by invoking
our eyedropper tool. We will go to the
areas that we want to change and we will go over
them and change them. And now, if you want
to add more details, it's your time to shine. Ledgers go and add
a few buttons and maybe some additional
elements on our address. Let's just play around. And when you are done
with this task, alleges, get back to our
layers and we will unhide our layer
with the sketch. Now we are ready
to add our face. Select, just go and
create one more layer. If you want to rename
it, go for it. We will need to
make it assisted. So I just tap on it and
lead choose Drawing Assist. Now, we will get back
to our color palettes. We will select the
color almost being. And with this color, we will do and recreate our
shapes of the face as always, just creating the outlines. When you are done
with the outlines, ledgers drag and drop the
color inside of the shapes, eating it to adjust
some parts and grab an eraser tool
and adjust them. And when we have the base
for our phase, ledgers, go and select the same color
that we have for our hair. We are invoking our
eyedropper tool, just reminding you that
you can hold one of your fingers on the screen until you have this little too. When you have that color. Let's just go and add our
lines for the facial features. Cool, Julian, and the ends. If you need to adjust your
over-the-top to edit shape. When you are done adjusting it, tap on the screen
and let us go under these little sheep owned the eye and we will add the eyelashes. When you have them, ledgers go and add
our little mouth. Play around with the shape, play around with the position. It's all up to you when you
have your facial features, ledgers get back to our
color palettes and we will select the color with
the name pink bright. We will increase the
size of our brush and we will go and put one
dot for the cheek. And when you did It's ledgers. Get back to our layers. Let's hide our layer
with the sketch and let checkout whether we need to
adjust some of the parts. Let's make everything
nice and clean. If you need to adjust
the empire's just grab the eraser tool and erase
everything that you don't meet. When you are satisfied. Ledgers go and combine all
these three layers together. So we are going firstly
on earlier with the face, we are tapping in it and we
are choosing Merge Down. And we will do it one more time. Tap on the layer and
choose merge down. When the whole Princess
is on one layer, we can one more
time go and check out whether we want
to adjust some parts. Just take a look
at the connections and try to make everything
nice and clean. And when you're done
with this task, let's just go and turn
off our assisted drawing. So we are going back
to our arrange icon. We are going to
the canvas and we aren't so Glenn
drawing guide here. And also we will need to do
it on to our Layers panel. Go into early with the princess tapping on it and
choosing Drawing Assist. And while we're still
here under our layers, Let's just rename this
layer so we will tap on it. We will choose Rename and
we will call it princess. And when you are done
renaming your layer, we are done with our
second illustration. So in the next part, we will be creating our dragon.
8. Coloring the Dragon: Start with Andrea again. Ledgers get back to
the layers and we will unhide our layer
with the sketch. Now when we have it, alleges go and create one more layer for the
body of our dragon. So tapping on the plus icon, creating a new layer, if you want to rename
it, go for it. When we have this new layer, we arguing back to our
color palettes and we will select the color
with the name pink salt. With this color, we
will zoom in our Canvas to our little dragon
and we will go and create the outline for the body ledgers Gill
and very quickly do that when you are done
with the outline and when you are sure
that it is closed, ledgers go and drag and drop the color inside of this object. When it is done, we will go and we will work
on to this area on the tummy. So firstly, let us get
back to our layers. We will go to this layer
with our body on the Dragon. We will tap on it and we
will choose alpha lock. When we have our
Alpha Lock turned on, we are going back to our
color palettes and we will select the color with
the name pink lights. With this color, we will go and create the outline
for our little tummy. When you have it, ledgers goo and drag
and drop the color. If you have the result
like that, don't worry, just move your
Apple pencil toward the left side until only
this area is recolored. If you have a little outline between your outline
and this main sheet, just go manually
and tricolor it. Let's make sure that we
don't have it by going over our layers and heighten
our layer with the sketch. If we have this little gap, we will go and manually
recolor this area. And when we did it, and when we have
our sketch layer, hidden layer, just go and
work more on our whole sheep. To do so, we will
need to go back to earlier with this main shape. We will tap on it.
We will choose Alpha Lock from the
least to deselect it. And we will go grab our
eraser tool or we will go and grab our brush and we will
work on to our sites. So they just go and
make them very smooth. When you are done adjusting
your shape, ledgers, get back to our list and we will unhide our layer
with the sketch. And we can notice that we will need to work on to
this little arm. So ledgers go and invoke
our eye dropper tool. So just holding one of our
fingers on the screen and we'll just go to this area and manually we will recolor it. And when we did it, we are ready to move
on and we are ready to add other elements and we will add them on
the separate layer. So let's just go and create
one more layer and we will drag it under our
layer with the main shape. Layer five, we are
holding it and we are moving it down under
our main shape. When we have it, we will
go and create our legs and our little wink ledgers
go and create that. We are using the same color of the main shape of our body. When you are done with this task ledgers get
back to our leaves. We will hide our layer with
this gauge and we will check out whether
everything is looking fine. If it is, we will get back
earlier with this gauge and we will continue aging
this little comb elements. We will go firstly to our color palettes and we will
select a different color. This time, it will
be pink light. With this color, we will
increase the size of our brush and we will just go and create this element just with a stroke. So create the first
stroke if you want, hold your line and
the ends if you need to adjust it or the soap. And when you had
the first stroke, ledgers go along the whole shape and create a few more of that. Let's make sure that
everything is looking nice by going to our list and heighten
our layer with the sketch. If you're satisfied
with the result, we can go and combine
these two layers together. So firstly, way I
go in on the layer, on the top, which
is our main body. We are tapping on it and we
are choosing merge down. Now, if you want, you can go entry name
this layer as dragon. When we have it's ledgers, get back earlier with this gauge and let's add the
rest of the details. So firstly, let's
work on to our fleet. We will go back to
our color palettes. We will select the color
with the name pink bright. And we'll create this
main shape again, starting from the outline. When you have the outline
and when it is closed, we are going back to our top-right corner and we add dragging and
dropping the color. And now we will go
and change the color and add these little
elements in the middle part. You can go and invoke the eyedropper tool and select the color that we
used for the column. Now when we have the color, Let's just go and create
the outline for this heart. And when you have the outline, you can just drag and
drop the color or manually recolor these elements. If you want to add more details, you are welcome to do it. And when you are done with
this little flame ledgers, get back to our layers. We will unhide earlier with this gauge and we will
add our facial features. You can do it on the same layer, or you can try out to create
them on the separate layer. And then if you want to
adjust them, digest them, and merge these two
layers together, Let's just go and select our color with the
name dark magenta. We will start by creating
these two dots for the eyes. Let's just increase
the size of our brush. And let's put these two dots. When you aren't done. Ledgers get back to our
color palettes and we will select the color
within the almost pink. We will create our Fink's. When you have the things ledger, select the same color
that we used for the eyes by invoking
our Eyedropper Tool. And we will create this
little Smiley mouth hold you land and
the end if you want, and if you want to
adjust it even more, go over this up to Edit Shape. And now let us get
back to our layers. We will hide our layer with
the sketch and we will check out whether we are
satisfied with our results. If we have some place
that we want to adjust, we will go and do that. If you want to add more details, you are welcome to
do it here as well. When you're satisfied with your results ledgers
get back to our layers. Let's make sure that we have renamed earlier and later on. In the next chapter, we will add all of our
miscellaneous objects.
9. Coloring the Sun: When we are done with
our main characters, let's continue with the
miscellaneous objects. So firstly, we, I go
into our layers and we will unhide our
layer with the sketch. When we know what we need to do, we will need to
create one more layer and we will start from the sun. So let just tap on the plus icon and if you
want to rename this layer, you are welcome to do it. Now when we have a new layer, ledgers go back to our
color palettes and we will select the color with
the name yellow, orange. When we did it. When I get them
back to our Canvas, we will zoom it into our
son and we will start from this main shape of
the sun, our ellipse. So let's just go
and with one line, we will create the shape. At the end of the line. Hold your Apple pencil to
snap it to a better shape. And also hold one
of your fingers on the screen to snap it to
a perfectly round circle. If you need to adjust the size, just move your Apple
pencil to this side. And if you need to
adjust it even more, if you need to find a
different placements and hold everything
and go over it. It's up to Edit Shape. Find what works for you, and when you're satisfied, ledgers tap on the screen. Now let's make sure that
our shape is closed. That means that we don't have
any gaps onto our outline. And when we are sure
allege us go to our top-right corner and we will drag and drop the
color insights. Now when we have the main shape, we are ready to
move on and we are ready to work on to our arrays. We can do it manually, but it is too time
consuming and we don't really like too
time-consuming things. So we can use one of the
options that Procreate has. Firstly, let us go back to our color palettes and we
will select another color. This time, it will be pink soft. When we have a new color, we will need to get
back to our range. I can order the top-left and we will need to
toggle drawing guide. Now, if you take a look, We will have this line
that we used before. And in this case, we will need to
go and change it. So we will go to
Edit Drawing Guide. And when we are in the
drawing guide menu, we will go to the bottom
panel to the options. You can see that we have, at least here and we will
need to select radial. Firstly, you will see that the line changed
onto your canvas. And also we will
need to go on to rotational symmetry and Assisted Drawing and toggle it to. So let's just do it. And when you're done, Let's just tap on the screen
to get away from this menu. And we will need to move these little lines that
we have to our son. And we will need to position this blue node right in
the center of our sun if you want to match
the lines that you have on your sketch with
this symmetry lines, you can go to this green
nodes and rotates it. Replacement that works for you. And when you are done, ledgers go over our
top-right corner and we will hit done. Firstly, we need to make sure
that our layer is SE set. So let's just go
to our layers and we will go to this
layer with our sound. If we see the title assisted, we are good to go. So now let's just
zoom in our Canvas and let just start
recreate and IRAs. You don't have to recreate
them with 100 per cent of similarity to what you
have on your sketch. You can play around and we just need to go and
create some rates. Let's just go and try it out. Let's start just
from the outlines. And when you are
ready with them, when you are sure
that they are closed, ledgers go and drag and drop
the color to one of them. All of them will be changed. And if you want to adjust
the shape, even more, ledgers, grab our eraser
tool and let's work on them. And when we are done
with this task, let's just add a few more race. This time we will be using the same color that we
used for the main shapes. So let's just go and invoke
our eyedropper tool by going to the needed color and by holding one of our fingers. And let's just go
between this race that we already have on the screen. And let's add a
few more of them. You can play with the distance, you can play with the size. You can play with
everything here. When you add them
with the outlines ledgers drag and drop the
color to one of the objects. If you want to adjust
them, ledgers, grab our eraser tool
and let's adjust them. And when you are ready, adjusting your
little arrays lead, just go and turn off
our drawing assist. So firstly, we go
into our range. I can over-the-top left and we will toggle Drawing
Guide from here, but it is not enough. We will need to get
back to our layers. We will need to
go to this layer, which is now assisted
and we will need to turn it off manually. So let's just tap
on it and let's choose Drawing Assist
from the list. And now when we are ready, we will go and add
the facial features. So firstly, ledger select
the same color that we used for our facial
features on the princess. We just go there. We are holding one
of our fingers invoking our Eyedropper Tool, selecting the color and go into our sun and recreating
the facial features here, Let's start from the eyes. Firstly, we will just
increase the size of our brush and we will
put the two dots. Now when we are
ready with our eyes, ledgers go to the mouth and
we will do it in that way. Firstly, we will create one
line going diagonally down, and then we will
just go strictly to talk and we will
hold our Apple pencil. You will see that you will end
up with this little heart. You can adjust the size by
moving your Apple Pencil. And if you need to
adjust it even more, go over the top to aided sheep. You will have a lot
of handles here that you can play with
when you are done, Let's just tap on our
screens to get away from this modes and
lunges at our eyebrows. So we arguing and
decreasing the size of our brush and we are
recreating our shapes. When you are done, ledgers go and select
another color. So this time it will
be built bright. And with this color we
will add our cheeks, increase the size of your
brush and put the dots. Now let's check out how
it looks by going to our lives and Haydn
earlier with this kitsch. If you are satisfied with what you have here,
Let's continue. Agent, the other objects.
10. Coloring Miscellaneous Objects: Let's continue by
going to our layers and we will unhide our
layer with the sketch. We need to go over all of our objects and we will need
to add the color to that. We can do it on the same layer that we have our asana own. Or if you want, you can create a new layer for each object. So now let us go and
select the color. It will be pink bright, and we will go over our
top-left and we will recreate the outline
for our heart here. Make sure that the
shape is closed. And when you are alleges, go to our top-right corner and we will drag
and drop the color. And when we have our shape, Let's just go and add
other facial features. We can do it on the same
layer, or if you want, we can create another
layer and we can work on to our facial
features on it. So e.g. ledgers go and do that. We will go to our leaves and we will create one
more layer above. Once this layer, we will go and recreate the facial
features of our heart. Firstly, let's look
the same color that we use for the
previous facial features. It will be this dark magenta. So let us go to
our castle window. We will invoke our
eye drop with x2. We will select the
color from here. We will go to our
facial features and we will recreate them the
same way as before, just increasing the size of our brush and putting
two dots for the eyes. When you are ready
with the eyes, let's increase our
brush even more and we will create this little
hard for our mouth. Hold your land and the ends. And if you need to adjust your over-the-top
to aided sheep, play around with the sheep, find the position
that works for you. And when you're done, let just tap on the screen. Let's go and add the eyebrows, decreasing the size of our brush and
recreating the shapes. Now link just go and
select a different color. This time it will be
pink light or pink soft. With this color, we will go and add the cheeks so one more time, increasing the size of our brush and putting these two dots, we have created our
facial features on the separate layer. And that means that we can go
and add some details on it. So firstly, let us get
back to our layers. We will go to this layer
with the facial features. We will tap on it
and we will choose alpha lock with the same
color that we have right now. We will go to the bottom part on the mouth and we will
add a little time here. So just go in there without
any fear and we are creating this little sheep
whole Julian and the end, if you want to adjust it by going over the top
to edit shape. If you are satisfied
with everything here, ledgers get back to our list and we will combine these
two layers together. So go into the top one
with our facial features, tapping on it and
choose merge down. And now let us go and hide hourly with this
case just for 1 s. And we will take a
look at our shape. If we need to adjust it, we will grab our eraser
tool and we will adjust it. And when you are done
with the heart ledgers, get back to our layers. We will get back our
layer with this gauge and we will continue
adding our own jets. Let's move on to the clouds. We will select the color
that we use before. It will be either see
an or light seal. You decide with this color, we will go and
recreate the outline, makes sure that the
outline is closed. And when you are sure, allege as gill and drag and drop the color when you are ready, let's select the
same color that we use for our previous
facial features. And let's add them
on the same layer. So let's just go to the Window. We will select the color and we will recreate the
facial features. When you are done with
the main facial features, alleges go and select the color with the
name being bright. And with this color, we
will add our cheeks, so increasing the
size of our brush and putting two dots when we
are done with the Cloud, let's continue with
this little star. Firstly, let's select
this yellow color. And now we will just go to our shape and we will
try to recreate it, make sure it is closed
and when it is ledger, drag and drop the color. Now we will select the
same color that we use for our facial features
and we will add them. And when we are ready, let's continue with
this little envelope. We will select the color
with the name pink lights, and we will create the
shape of the rectangle. Ledgers go and do that. When you have the outline layer, just drag and drop the color. And when you hand the color, we will go and add these lines. We will do it with the
help of the alpha lock. So going back to our Layers tab and on this layer and
choosing Alpha Lock. Now going back to our color
palettes and selecting the color within the pink
bright with this color, we will go and add our
alliance with the same color. We will go and add
this little hearts. So let's go and do that. Recolor it manually. Or if you want, you can try out dragging and
dropping the color, hide the layer with the sketch
and adjust your lights. And when you are ready, ledgers get back to our layers. Let's unhide our layer
with this gauge. Ledgers. Get back to earlier with the miscellaneous objects. We will tap on it
and we will turn off alpha lock and we will
continue aging our objects. Ledgers go to the magic ones. We will start by creating the wings because they
are in the background. We will go back to our
color palettes and we will select the color
with the name lights, CM. With this color, we
will create this winks, make the closed outlines
and the color insight. When you are ready, ledger select the same
color that we use for the facial features and
we will add the ones. Let's increase the size of the brush and let's
create the line, a jazz the angle. And when you are ready, we will go and select the
yellow, orange color. With this color, we
will recreate the star when you are done with the
outline and the color. And if you have some places
that you need to fix, go and manually fix them. When we are ready with
our magic wands ledgers, get back to our color palettes. We will select the color
with the name Sian, and we will go to
the flowers and to the little branches and we will add these branches are stamps. And when you are ready
with this term sled, just select a different
color and we will add them to their flowers and
to this little Barrett's. And the last thing
that we will need to add are these little hearts. So let's select the color
with the name almost being. We will go along this objects
and we will recreate them. When you are done
with this task, let's just go back
to our layers. We will hide earlier with
this gauge and we will go alone all of our objects and
we will take a look at them. And if we need to adjust them, we will go and do that. And when you add down a
jazz in your own objects, the very last thing
will be going to our layers and
renaming this layer. So let's just tap on it. Let choose Rename, and let's
go with miscellaneous. And when we did it, we are
done with our illustration. Thank you for
