1. Introduction : Hello everyone. I'm uni and e to this class we'll draw cute
Halloween sweets. These class doesn't require any prior experience
or a fancy tools. We'll start from scratch
and we'll be using simple techniques
throughout the process. Everything you'll see will
be happening in Procreate. However, if you
have other software or wanted to try a
traditional materials, you are welcome to join if
you are ready to start, Let's jump right into it.
2. Cat Lollipop Sketch: Let's start our
class by deciding what kind of Canvas we
are gonna be using. You can see it is a very
simple square canvas because both the width
and pixel height, or 2048 big sets, if you would like to use any other dimensions
for your canvas, just go for it. S for DPI, we are at 300 and
S for the color profile, we are using sRGB
with this low number. When it's all done,
let's hit Done and will be redirected
to our new canvas. And now we need to
decide what kind of colors where I'm
going to be using throughout the whole class. You can go to the project
and Raza receptor. You can download the
color palette and you can follow along when you did it. Let's go strictly to our color palettes and we will check out
what we have here. And here we have two options of how we can use these colors. They come back to
you and the cards, we will be using
the cards because they have all the colors, names and they are ready
for you to be used. And our first task for today is to change
the background color. So let's do the following. Let's go to our layers. Let's go to our
background color layer. We will tap on it to select. Here we have our color
palettes on the bottom, and we will select the first
color in the first row. So let just tap on it. And when we did it, we have
changed the background color. And now before it starts
in gradient our sketch, we will need to make
some preparation tips. Firstly, we will need to
go and select a brush. Let's just go to
our brush library. So we are going to this
little icon on the top right, and we will go to
this kitchen folder. In the sketching folder, we will select procreate
pencil if you would like to use any other
brush for sketching part, you are welcome to do it. When we have the brush, we will need to
select the color. So let us get back to
our color palettes and who will select the color
with the name sketch? Let's tap on it to
select when we have it, we are ready to go and we are
ready to start our sketch. Let's start by
creating a lollipop. So firstly, we will
go to our Canvas, we will zoom it in
and we will start by creating a simple
shape of the circle. So let's just go to
our Canvas and with one line without an
holding our Apple pencil, we will create this shape. Let's just go and
try to do that. At the end of the line, we will hold our Apple
Pencil and we will see that we snapped this
shape to a perfect one. Now it is analogous, but we will need a
perfectly round circle. So what we need to do without an holding our Apple pencil, we will need to hold one of
our fingers on the screen. And now you can
see that you have a perfect shape of this circle. If you move your Apple pencil from side to side
without an holding, everything that you
are holding right now, you will be scaling
it up and down. So for now let's
just leave it at something not too
big, not too small. And when you are done, we will unfold everything that
we are holding right now. When we had the first shape, we will need to create
the same shape, but we will need to
make it a little bit smaller and put it
inside this first shape. So let's just go and do the
same thing as we did before. So we won't go inside of the shape and we will
repeat it there. Ledger step a little
bit from the sides. And the same way as before, we are just creating the sheep without an holding
our Apple Pencil. So we are doing it
just with one line. And again, on this
line we are holding our Apple pencil to
snap it to an ellipse. And also we will need to
hold one of our fingers on the screen to snap to a
perfectly round circle. Now we can adjust this size
on this element by moving our Apple pencil from side to side so you can play with it. And when you are done playing, alleges go over the
top to edit shape. Here you can see that we have some nodes and if we go to them, we can tweak the shape
and we can adjust it. But we want me to do
that because we need to keep the same shape
that we have right now, the perfectly round circle, but we will need to move
it more toward the center. So what we need to do to do so, we will need to go to any
blank space onto our canvas. We will hold our Apple
pencil there and we will move it until we reach
this central part. When you are done, we will tap on the screen with
one of our fingers or with our Apple pencil to get away
from this editing mode. And when we have these shapes, we will need to continue
adding the details. But before starting,
we will need to find an approximate center. And we will do it by creating one vertical line
and one horizontal. We don't need to
be very precise. We just need to find
this approximate center. So firstly, let's just go over
the top a little bit above are cheap and we will create
a straight line going down. Hold your line and the answer snippets
to a straight line. If you need to adjust the angle without an holding
your Apple pencil, just move it until you find
the angle that you need. And if you need to
adjust it even more, we can go over the top
to Edit Shape and e.g. we can move this line
more toward the center. When you are done, ledgers tap on the screen and
we will do the same thing, but this time with
the horizontal axis. So let just go to one of the sides and let's
create a straight line. When we have this line, hold it at the end,
adjust the angle. If you need to move it, go over it, it's
up to Edit Shape. Find the approximate center. And when you are done, let just tap on the screen. And when we have these
approximate central lines, we will need to add two more lines that
will go diagonally up. So firstly, we will go
to this intersection. And from this intersection
we will create these two lines that are going
in different directions. So firstly, let's just zoom in our Canvas and we will
start from the left part. We will go to this intersection and we will create
the line like that. It is approximately 45 degrees when we have it on one side, Let's try to repeat it
on the opposite side. One more time. We are going to
this intersection and we are trying to
create the same line but mirroring it from opposite
sex when we have it led, just deselect everything by
holding our Apple Pencil. And when we have this, we also will go a little
bit above our shape, the main shape of
the hat right here, and we will create
another horizontal lines. So let's just add just a
little bit from the top part, we can mark down
a little element right here on this line
that is going vertically. Through this mark,
we will create a horizontal line where I
just go and try to do that. Adjust the angle. If you need to move it,
we will go forward. It's up to Edit Shape Layer. Just put it onto
this little mark. And when we have this scheme, we are ready to add the ears. We will give it to
these areas and we will be creating
the ears right here. So firstly, let's just
go over our left part. These horizontal line
that we just created will be the top part
where the ear ends. And this line that
we have right here, the diagonal line, it will be right in the middle of the ear. So what we need to do firstly, we will go to the line that
we have for our heads. And from it, we will create
a very soft triangle. We will need to
make it this way. So this line which is diagonal will be right
in the middle of it. So let's just try it out. We are creating just a
curve and end the end. We can always hold it to
create a better curve. And if we need to adjust it, we are going orbital
up to Edit Shape. We can tweak these nodes to adjust them and we can
find what works for us. When we have this first year. We will need to do the same
thing on the opposite side. So let's just go there
and we will try to recreate what we have
over our left parts. Jazz create the curve, hold it at the end, adjusted by going over
the top to Edit Shape. Play around with these
little nodes and try to make these shapes similar to what
you have over the left part. And when you are
done with this task, when you are satisfied
with the result, Let's just tap on the screen. And now we will go inside of this ears and we will
add the inner parts. So the same way as before, we are just going inside
of the shape and we are repeating this beak shape
but creating a little one. Create the curve. Hold it at the end, adjusted if you need to buy going forward it's
up to Edit Shape. When you have it
on one side leg, just tap on the screen to get
away from our editing mode. And let's move on to
the opposite side and we will try to
repeat it there. And when you are done adding
the inner parts of the ears, we will go over the bottom part and we will create
a little wrap here. So what we need to do, firstly, we will need to go
over our left part and we will make a
little mark like that. When we have it on the left, we will go over the
right part and we will try to keep
the same distance. And we will try to put
another mark here. When we have
something like that, we will go over the bottom and we will create two
lines like that. One on the left and
one on the right. When you have it,
we will go over the bottom part and we
will create a wavy line. You can play around
with its size. You can play around
with this waviness. And when you are done, we will need to go and
make it more like a wrap. So we will go over all of these concaved parts and we will make the lines
going from them up. And when you have
something like that, we can continue by going down
and by creating a stick. So we will need just
to step a little bit from this line that is
going through the center. And we will just repeat it by stepping a little bit
from it. Going down. When you have
something like that, when you have the line, you can hold it at the end. So just remember it. You can go over the top to edit shape to adjust it. So e.g. you can move it more close to this line that is
going for this center. And when you have
it on one side, we will need to repeat
it on the opposite side. So let just tap Elizabeth from the central line
and we will create another straight line
going down if we need to adjust it where I go in
over the top to edit shape. When you have it, we will
go over the bottom part and we will connect these
two lines with a curve. And when we have the
base for our lollipop, we are ready to go and
add the facial features. Firstly, ledger Zoom in Canvas to our middle parts,
to our circles. And firstly, we will go over our left part and we will create the first i by
creating the shape of the ellipse or a
perfectly round circle. Just go over our line that we have on the horizontal axis. And here we will
create our shape. As always, we are
doing it just with one line without an
holding our Apple pencil. If we want to create
the perfect shape, we are holding our Apple
Pencil at the ends and we are holding one of
our fingers on the screen. To snap to a perfectly
round circle. If we want, we can
adjust the size by moving our Apple
pencil from side to side. So find what works for you. When you are done, we will go
over the top to edit shape. E.g. we can play around with the position
of these elements. Lead, just put it more towards the left when you have
something like that, Let's just tap on our
screen and we will go over our right parts and we will try to recreate the same shape here. So let's just go and do
the same thing as before. Just go and variable B, creating this shape,
holding it at the end, holding one of our fingers
on this screen at adjusting the size to make
sure that we are creating the same size as
we have it on the left. We can go over the top to
Edit Shape and we can move this little shade that we
just created to our first i. If they are similar to
one another, is good. If it's not, we will just go between these nodes
and we will hold our Apple pencil there
and we will move it until we find this
size that we need. When the second eye has the same size as
the previous one, we will just move it to where
their rights and we will try to keep the same
distance from the center. And we will try to
put these second, I own the same line. When we are done, Let's just tap on the screen with
one of her fingers or with our Apple pencil to get away from this editing mode. And now we will
just go inside of these two shapes and
we will shade them. When we did it, we will
grab our eraser tool. We will adjust its size
to something not too big, probably something
like eight per cent or a seven for the Eraser tool, we are using a round brush, or if you want to
use any other brush, you are welcome to do it. We will go over
the bottom part of our eyes and we will cut
little pieces from them. Firstly, let's just
go over our left. We will go to the bottom part, to the left of the bottom part. And we will put a
little dot with our Eraser tool when you
have it on one side, Let's move on to the
opposite side and we will try to do
the same thing here. So going to the same place on the opposite eye and we are
cutting this little piece. And when we have it's ledgers, get back to our brush
and we are ready to continue agent
our facial features. And we will continue by
adding a little nodes. These nodes will have
the shape of the heart, but this height will
be flipped vertically. So let just go to
this intersection that we have in the middle. And from this intersection we will create the
shape of the heart. Ledgers go a little
bit above it. And we will firstly
create a shape like that. You can play around
with its size. You can play around with how big you want your nose to be. And when you have these
sheep or one set, we will go on the opposite side and we will try to
repeat it here. Just connect these two lines together and when you have them, we will go inside and
we will shade that. When we have
something like that, ledgers go and add our mouth. So firstly, we
will go underneath this nose shape and we will create the first-line like that. When you have it on one side, we will need to mirror
it on the opposite side. Let's just go and create
the line on the right side. When we have it here, we will go firstly over our left part and we will
create another line. So these term, it will go up when we have it
on the left side. Let's move on to
the opposite side, and let's do the
same thing here. So we are just mirroring what we have over our left parts. Now one more time, going over our left part and create an elisa
line like that. When we have it on the left, we are going over our right part and doing
the same thing here. When we have the top
part of our mouth, we will need to create
the bottom part. So firstly, let just go over these little line that
we have right here. And we will need from
the end of this line, create another line
going like that. Now we can continue
adding the lines by repeating what we
have over the top part, where we can go over the
opposite side and we can just repeat what we had right
now on to our left part. Basically the shape
will look like that. And when you have
it on one side, Let's repeat it on
the opposite side, we will work onto the ends of these lines and we will
make them very pointy. When we have this shape, we will go inside and
we will shade it. And now the last feature
that we will add right here will be our little
cheeks underneath the ice. So we will make this whole
shape a little bit cuter. I just go over our left part. Firstly, we will go
underneath the eye and we will create a
little ellipse like that. You can play with the size. If you don't want
to add the cheeks, You are welcome not to do that. If you want to try out
a different shape, maybe you would want to
create a circle here. You are welcome
to do it as well. When you haven't done one side, Let's move on to
the opposite side, and let's add the
same feature here. Try to make them
equal on both sides. And when you are done, we are done with
our first sketch. So in the next part, we will be creating
another sketch, and it will be a ghost popsicle.
3. Ghost Popsicle Sketch: Let's start making
our second sketch from some tiny preparations. Firstly, we will go to
our layers and we will rename our first layer
with the first sketch. So I just tap on it. Let's choose Rename
and let's type cats. Lollipop ends while we're
still here into our layers, we will create another layer
for our second sketch. So I just tap on the plus
icon and straight away, we will rename this
layer as ghost Popsicle. So one more time we are
tapping on the layer, we are choosing Rename and
we are typing down our knee. And when we have this new layer, when it is renamed, we are getting back
to our Canvas. We will zoom it in on some
blank space and we will start very easily by creating a shape of
the perfect circle. The same way as before. We are just going variable
that to our Canvas. We are creating our
shape with one line. We are holding our Apple Pencil at the ends to snap
it to a better shape. And we also tapping on our
screen and holding one of our fingers there to snap to
a perfectly round circle. We can adjust its size by moving our Apple pencil
from side to side. And when you're satisfied
with everything here, like jazz and hold, everything that we are
holding right now. When we have these sheep, we will need to continue
adjusting it and we need to create one
more element here. And these elements
will be Eric tingle. So what do we need to do? Firstly, we will
go to the size of our sheep and we will mark down little elements like that on the side somewhere and
approximate center. When we have them, we will go firstly, our left parts and we
will start creating a rectangle the same way as
we have created our circle. We are doing everything
with just one line. So firstly, we are creating the line going down like that. Then we are going to
work the right part. And we are ending up by going to this little
intersection that we have, mark down when we have
everything that we need, we are holding our Apple pencil. It will snap to a better
shape and we will go over the top to edit shape to
make it every single. So you can see that we
have some options here, the rectangle or the square. It's up to you what
you will choose. E.g. ledgers ends up with
the rectangle right here. And what we need to do, we will need to adjust
the whole shape and we will need to make
this smooth connections, the smooth connections
between our shape on the bottom and iris
shape on the top. So we will zoom in our Canvas. Firstly, we will go
over our left part. We will go to the
middle note here, and we will know
it until we reach this nice intersection with
our first shape on the top. When you have it, we will do the same on the opposite sides. So I just go into our middle nodes and we
are trying to put it nicely and have
this intersection with the first shape or the top. If you want to adjust
the shape even more, if you want to make
it bigger or smaller, go to the line on the bottom, grab this little nodes in the center and adjust
the size to your liking. When you are done, just
tap on the screen. We will get away from this mode. And now we can go and
adjust our lines so we can achieve this nice
intersections manually. Let's just go and
connect our shapes. When we did it, we
will need to go to these two corners on the bottom and we will need to
make them very soft. So instead of that
very street corners, we will create the curves here. So firstly, let's just go
over our left part and we will create a curve instead
of that very straight corner. And when we have it, We will move on
or our right side and we will do the
same thing here. The main thing that we
need to keep in mind that these two shapes should be similar to one
another on each site. When we have
something like that, let's just grab our
eraser tool and we will erase everything
that we don't need. So e.g. it will be these little corners that
we have when we did it. We will need to continue by adding a little
stick on the bottom. But before that, we
will need to find an approximate center of
the whole shape layer. Just go firstly over our
ellipse on the top and we will create a straight line going for the approximate
center like that. When we have the line, we will hold it at
the end to snap it to a straight
line and we will go over the top to edit
shape if we need to move it and find the
position that we need. So we will need to put it
in the approximate center. When we did it, we
will tap on the screen and we will create
a horizontal lines. Firstly, going
through the center of our shape on the top. So we have this little
marks down through them. We will create our
horizontal line the same way as always, we are holding it at the end. We are adjusting our angle. And if we need to
adjust it even more, we are going over the
top to aided shape. When you are done, we will need to create
another horizontal line, but it will be on the bottom
of our sheep, on the bottom. So we will need to
step a little bit aside from this
very soft corner. And from here we will create
another horizontal line. So when you have
it the same way, you will need to make
it very straight. You will need to
adjust the angle. If you need to move and go
over the top to Edit Shape, you can play around with
the position of this line. And basically this line will represent the ends of the sheet. Or the blanket that
are ghost will have. So you can play around with
the position of this line. When you have it, we will tap on the screen
and now we can move on under our Popsicle and we are
ready to add a little stick. So let just tap a little bit. Aside from this middle line, we will create a straight
line on the left. Hold it at the ends to
snap to a straight line. And we will move on to our right side and we
will repeat it there. I tried to keep the same
distance from the center. And when you have it, we will go on the
bottom and we will connect these two
lines with a curve. As always, hold it at the end if you need
to adjust and go over the top to AD cheap and play with this
little handles. And now we have the base and we are ready to move on and we are ready to add some details. So firstly, let's work
on this little sheet. We will go to this
line right here, and we will turn it
into a wavy line. So let's just go and create
something like that. We will stop a
little bit as sites. We will go beyond the frames and we will create the
line like that. So firstly, we will go to this intersection and we
will create a diagonal line. As always, you can play
around with how big you want the shape to be
and you will need to connect it with the
line on the bottom. And we will do the same
thing on the opposite side. So firstly, let's go
to this intersection. Let's create a diagonal line. Let's try to make it the same size of the line that
we have on our right. And we will connect it with
our line on the bottom. When we have this, we will go over the top part. We will step a little
bit aside from our top elements and we will create another
horizontal line. So this way we are
going to be creating our ears and we will need to find where we need
to finish them. So let's just create
the line like that. Hold it at the end, make it very straight. If you need to adjust it, go over the top to Edit Shape, place it somewhere,
and when you are done, we will go and do the following. Firstly, we will go again
to this intersection. And from this
intersection we will go up and we will create
the curve like that. And we will loop it around and we will
create a little here. When we have it on one side, we will do the same
on the opposite side. So go into this intersection
going up with a curve, trying to make it similar to one that we have over our left. And we are looping it around
and we are creating the ear. If you need to adjust
it in any way, if you need to make it
similar to one another, just go and manually do that. Now when we have these two ears, we will go inside
these two shapes and we will add the inner parts. So just go and inside we are stepping a little bit from the lines that we already have. And we are repeating the shape
that we have on the top. When you have it on one side, Let's move on to
the opposite swan and we will do the
same thing here. Now when we have the ears, lead just adds a little shape or that soap that will represent
some kind of a curl here. So we will go firstly on the
intersection with our ear. And from this intersection, we will go and create a
nice curve like that. You can play around
with its size. You can play around how
thick you want it to be. And when you are done, we are done with RMB. That means that we are ready to go and add our facial features. Let's firstly go to this
intersection that we have in our center of these
little shapes of the lips. And we will go a
little bit aside from the center line and we will start by creating a
shape of the eye. This time it will be elevated
LFTs and we will put it right on this line that we
have on the horizontal axis. So let's just go there and
we will create the shape. You can play around
with its size. You can play around
with its placement. You can play around with how distance it is
from the center. When you have the basic shape, ledgers go inside and shaded. And when we did it, we will need to move on over our right side and we will
need to repeat it there. We will need to put this same
shape on the opposite side, on the same line. We will need to keep
the distance from the center and we will need
to repeat the same shape. So let's just go
and try to do that. When you hand the
sheep led just shaded. And when you're done
with the isolette, just move on and add
our little mouth. So firstly, ledger zoom in
our Canvas and we will go right on this line that we
have on the horizontal axis. And firstly, we will go over our left parts and we will
create the shape like that. This will be a curve that
will be representing the bottom part on the
ellipse or a circle. When we haven't done one
side, we will move on, on the opposite side and we
will add the same shape here. As always, you can play
around with the curvature. You can play around
with the size. It's all up to you when
you have this shape, let us move on to
our cheeks and we will add them right
underneath our eyes. Adjust firstly, go over
our left part and we will create an ellipse or a
circle here, as always, play around with this size, play around with the
distance from the center, play around with the
distance from the eye. Find what works for you. And when you have
the first shape, Let's move on over
our opposite side and let's add the
same shape here. Try to make them similar. And when you are done, we are done with
our second sketch. In the next part, we will
be creating a scarecrow.
4. Scarecrow Sketch: Let's start making our
third illustration from some tiny preparations. So one more time we are
getting back to our layers. And firstly, we will select
our layer with cat lollipop. Let's tap on this to
select and we will go to our arrow key
on the top-left, we just are transformed, so we will use uniform
method and we will just drag this shape
more toward the right. So that way we will read some space for
Arthur illustration. When you are done, Let's
just tap on our heirarchy one more time and we will
get back to our layers. We will select our layer
with a ghost popsicle. We will tap on the plus icon and we will create
one more layer. We'll rename this
layer as scarecrow. So let's just tap on the layer
and let's choose Rename. Now when we have a new layer, ledgers, get back to our canvas. Let's zoom it into
this blank space. And we will start by creating
a shape of the ellipse. The same way as always, we are just go in there
very boldly and we are creating the shape
with just one line. And the end of the line, we are holding our Apple pencil. When you have something
like that leg and hold it. And let's go over the
top to Edit Shape. And we will adjust
the shape and we will make a chunkier ellipse. We will go to one
of this side nodes and we will move it
more to the side. So it is almost a circle, but still it is an ellipse. When it has something like that, we will tap on the
screen to get away from this modes and we will
adjust the shape even more. So we will go one more
time to our arrow key, but this time, who will be using the method that is called work? Let's tap on it and
you can see that we still have this bounding
box that we can adjust. We have some nodes on this side, but also that we have
some intersections. And we can adjust
this intersection by dragging them and adjusting
our shape just in that way. So what we need to do,
we will need to go to our bottom nodes and we will move these nodes
more to the sides. So firstly, let us go to
our nodes on the right. We will grab it and we will
drag it more to the right. So we are making
this bottom part of our Arabs more around it. It will be wider than
our shape on the top. So when we have moved
our nodes on the right, Let's do the same
on our left side. So we're just go in there and we are moving it more to the left, try to make it similar
on both sides. And when you have
something like that, let's just deselect everything
by hitting our arrow key. And when we have this shape, we will need to adjust it
and we will need to add the segments because now
we are creating a pumpkin. Firstly, allege us find
the approximate center of the whole shape and
we know how to do that. We will need to firstly go
and create a vertical line going through the center and
then the horizontal one. Let's start from
the vertical one. We will create it in
the approximate center. We will hold our Apple
Pencil at the ends. We will adjust the angle if we need to adjust
it even more. If we need to move it
where I go and open it up to Edit Shape and we are
doing what we need to do. When you are done, we will tap on the screen and we will create a horizontal line. So the same way as before, just go in there and creates an delight holding
it and the ends, adjusting the angle if
you need to move it, go over the top to edit shape. When you are in done, ledgers go to our shape, to our main shape, and we will start
creating the segments. So firstly, we will go in the central area and we will
create the line like that. So just going
somewhere right here. And from here we will
create a curve going down. Again. It shouldn't be a
little bit wider on the bottom rather
than on the top. When you have this first line, we will need to repeat
it on the opposite side. So just go in there and
mirroring the line legis can make these two lines on the
bottom by creating a curve. We can go a little bit
beyond the frames. It's okay when we have it, we will need to work on set
their areas on the side. Let's first go over our
left side will go to the bottom part and we will need to work on to this segment. So let just go to
this intersection. We will go a little bit higher and we will create
a curve like that. When we have this curve, we will need to connect it with our main shape of
this little segment. Let us go a little bit
above our center line. And from this line we will go and create the
curve that will connect us with this shape that we just created
on the bottom. Play around with the size. If you want, you can hold your Apple pencil to
create a better shape. Work onto this curve, just make it very smooth. And when you have
it on one side, Let's move on to
the opposite side and let's do the
same thing here. Just go to this intersection and from it we will
create a little curve. When you have it, we
will go a little bit above our central line on our site and we will
create another curve to make the connection.
Hold the line. If you need to work onto
this little connection, make it very smooth. And also let's work on so
these connections right here. So we will need the whole
shape be very smooth. If you need to
adjust some lines, just go and do that. Now when we have
this shape, ledgers, grab our eraser tool and we'll erase all the lines
that we don't need. Now we have the base
of the pumpkin, and that means that we
can add more details. And firstly, let's work
with the bottom parts. We will go there underneath
our pumpkin and we will start by creating a little
cooler or a rap ledgers. Gil, firstly, to these
intersection that we have between our
little segments, we will stop a little bit aside to the left
or my left side, and we will create
diagonal line like that. When you have it on one side, Let's move on to
the opposite side and let's do the
same thing here, just creating the
line going down. When we have it, we will go to the bottom and we'll
connect these two lines. The way we like,
play around with the amounts of these
segments on this rap, play around with
the corners plate with everything that
you want to play with. If you want, you can just
not create this wavy line. You can go and create
some petals like that. It's all up to you. So find what works for you
and when you are done, let just go underneath this little color and we
will add a stick here. So again, just step
in a little bit from the center line and creating
the line going down. When we have it, we are
holding it at the end. We are making it a
very straight line and we will need to repeat the same thing on
the opposite side. So let's create another
line going down. When we have two of them, we will go to the bottom and we will connect them
with the curve. When we are done,
we will go to our itself bite and we
will add a little hat. So firstly, ledger
zoom in this place and we will go more to the top. So probably allege us mark down one-half of this little part
on the top and above it, we will create a
curve like that. Hold the line at the ends, adjust the angle.
When you have it. We will need to create
another line like that, so it will be parallel
to the previous one. Let's just go and do that. Age acid if you need to by going over the top
to Edit Shape. And when you have it, we will need to go
to this site and we will need to connect
these two lines. Firstly, go over our left
part and we will go to the bottom line and we will
create a curve like that. So it will be connected in that way when we
have it on one side, Let's move on to
the opposite side and let's do the
same thing here. Go into the bottom line and
creating the curve like that. If we want, we can work a little bit onto these
corners right here. But if we don't want, we will go to them and we will create the back
part of our hats. So we will go to
this intersection of two lines and we
will vary smoothly, create another curve
going backwards, play around with the curvature, make it believable that it
is the back part of our hat. When you have this
curve on one side, Let's move on to the other side, and let's do the
same thing here. So go into this intersection
and creating the curve, trying to make it similar to the one that we have
on the opposite sides. And when we have this
religious continue and we will add the
top part of the hats. Firstly, we will go over our
left part and we will go to this intersection
that we have between our ribs and the main
shape on the hat, which is on the top. And from this
intersection we will create a diagonal line going up. So let's just go and try
to create this line. You can play around
with the angle. You can hold the line at the end to snap to
a straight line. You can play around
with how long it is. It's all up to you when you have this line ledgers and hold it. And let's move on to
the opposite side. And we'll create
another diagonal line the same way as before. We are going to the
intersection on the top. And from this intersection we are creating a diagonal line. This time it will be
a little bit smaller. Again, you can play
around with its size. You can play around
with the angle. It's all up to you. When you have these
two diagonal lines, we will need to continue
creating the top part, and now we will be creating
this little peculiar hook. So now I go into our left part. We are going to the top
on the line and we will create another diagonal
line going down. Let's just go and do that. Play around with this size, play around with the
distance from the center and from this line layer as with everything that you want
to play around with. And when you have this line, we will need to continue
creating this hook. So we are going to the ends of these diagonal line that
we have just created, and we are creating the
line going vertically down. You can make it very straight. You can just play
around with the angle. Again, it's up to you. When you have
something like that, we are going down with
another diagonal line. When you have it, it is just a little line. We will go up and we will make
this new line parallel to the line that we
have a little bit on our left. So
something like that. When we have it, we will
need to loop this whole ship around and we will need
to add some volume here. So let's just firstly go to the ends of the
last line that we have created and we will add
a little line like that. So we are creating a little
triangular shape here. You can play around
with its size. Then when we have it, we are going up and
we are just making the parallel line that
we have overwrite parts. When you have it, We are
moving toward our left part, and again, we are repeating the line that we have
over the top part. You can make it parallel. If you don't want to
make it parallel, you can make it a little bit
more in a different angle. And when you have
something like that, we will need to connect this hook with our
base of the hat. We will go to this line that we have just created and we will connect it with our
little diagonal line over r right part. So just go and create a
little line like that. And now when we have the base, we can work on so the
whole base in general. So e.g. we can go along all
of these lines and we can turn them into curves instead
of the very straight lines. So we can play around with
these just for a few seconds, if you like how it
looks right now, you can leave it as it is. But if you want to
adjust it in any way, ledgers go and very
quickly do that. When we have the
shape that we like, we will add one more
detail to our hats. We will go to this little
intersection right here. And from it we will
create another curve going through the whole shape of the top part of our hats. So let just go and repeat the same line that we
have for our array, but we will put it a little
bit up ends when we have it, we will go grab our
eraser tool and we will erase all the
lines that we don't meet. When we have erased everything
that we don't need, we will go and add
more details here. So we are going into
the top part of our hat where we have our
little line here. And we will create another line. So let just go a little bit
down and create another line. If you just hold in
your Apple pencil at the end of the line and
you were creating a curve, but it turned out to
be a straight line. Don't worry, let just
go over the top to Edit Shape and you can see that
we have an option here. So we will just need
to select arc here and we can play around with all
these nodes that we have. And when you are
done with this task, let just tap on the screen and let's add one more details. So we will create some
kinds of the belt here, and we will need to create
this belt buckle here. So we will just go
to the middle part and we will create
a rectangle here. Let's just tap a
little bit aside from the central line and we will create another line going down. When we haven't done one side, Let's repeated on
the opposite side. If you want, we can do
inside of this shape and we can create a
little thickness here. So we will go and repeat the whole shape of
this rectangle. Just tap in a little bit aside from the lines
that we already have. And when we have it, we are ready to
move on and we are ready to add our
facial features. Firstly, let us move on to our middle part and we will
start by creating our eyes. So firstly, let's just
get on our left part and we will create a
big iron right here. The same way as always, we are just going
to the left part and we are creating the circle. Hold it at the end, hold one of your
fingers on the screen. I just decides to your liking. If you need to
adjust it even more, or if you need to
move this shape a little bit more to the
left or to the right, go over the top to Edit Shape
and adjust it from here. When you've positioned
your elements correctly, ledger step on the
screen and let's create another eye on
the opposite sides. The same way as before. We are just going to
the opposite side and we are creating this circle. We are holding our
align at the ends. We are holding one of our
fingers on the screen. We are adjusting the size. If we need to adjust
it even more, or if we need to make
sure that our second I is the same size
as our previous one. We will just go over
the top to edit shape. We will just move this shape
toward our previous shape. We will adjust its size. When we have the right size. Let's just move this shape
toward our right part. Let's try to keep the same
distance from the center. Let's try to put it
on the same line. And when we are done, Let's
just tap on the screen and we will go inside of these
shapes and we will shade that. When we did it, we will
grab our eraser tool. We will adjust its size and we will go to one of the sides of these elements of our eyes and we will cut little
pieces. So e.g. let's just go over our
rights bottom part, and we will just put
the first dot over our left elements when we
have it to the one side, Let's repeat it on
the opposite side. Go into the same line and
to the same place and just cutting this little
piece when we have it, we are getting back
to our brush and we will move on to
the nose elements. So firstly, let's just
zoom in our canvas and let's go to
this intersection that we have in the middle. And from this
intersection we will go and create the first
shape like that. So again, we are creating their reversed cards when
you have it on one side, Let's move on to
the opposite one and laser the same thing here. Play around with this size, play around with the position. It's all up to you when
you have this shape, Let's just go inside
and let's shade it. When we have the nose, let's move on and add
our little mouth. So we will go under our nose and we will create
the curve like that. Hold the line and the Yan's
play around with its size. And when you have this
little line ledgers go underneath it and we will
create another line like that. So we are making the parallel
light same way as before. Hold it at the end. If you need to adjust it, go over the top to aided sheep. When you are done, we will need to connect
these two lines at the sides with the curves. Firstly, we are going over our left part and we are
creating the curve like that. When we have it on the lateral, Let's move on or are right part. And let's do the
same thing here. When we have
connected our mouth. Let's just go inside of the
sheep and we will shade it. And to make it a little
bit more interests in alleges go along the whole shape of
our mouth and we will create the vertical
lines like that. So we are creating
some stitches, play around with
the amount of this teachers play around with
the distance between them. When you are done, we will go underneath our eyes and we
will create a little cheeks. So the same way as always, we are just go into
the left part and we are creating a little
shape for the cheek. You can play around
with the shape. You can play around
with how big it is with replacement
with everything. If you want to explore a
different shape for your cheek, you are welcome to do it when
you have it on one side. Let's move on to the right and tragedy, the
same thing here. So we will need to
repeat this shape, we will need to repeat this size and we will need to
repeat the placement. If you need to adjust the shape, you know what you need to do, you will need to go or
that's up to Edit Shape. And when you are done with
aging the last cheek, we are ready to move on
and we are ready to go to our next chapter where we are going to be creating
a bad cookie.
5. Bat Cookie Preparations: Before starting to
make our last sketch, let's just find the
placement for it onto our canvas because
now it is very crowded and we will
need to arrange our elements very
nicely onto the canvas. And as we have all
of our elements on their own separate layers, it will be very easy
for us to do so. Firstly, let just select
one of the layers. So e.g. it will be scarecrow. We will go to our arrow
key on the top-left, will tap on it, will
use uniform mass. And you can see that we
have the bounding box. We can scale our elements down. So we will need to go
to one of the corners. So e.g. let's just go to the
corner on the top right. We will hold our Apple
pencil there and we will move our Apple
Pencil diagonally down until we find the size
that we like when we have it, we can rotate our object by going to this green
node or the soap. We will need to hold our
Apple pencil there and we will need to move it in
a circular direction. Let's find what works for us. Let's just find the placement. If you need to move it
more to the left or to the right or if you want to position it somewhere
on the top, it's up to you, find the
placement that works for you. And when you are done, ledger, deselect everything by hitting our arrow key one more time. When we did it, we are ready
to go again to our layers. We are ready to select
the different layers. So e.g. let's select
ghost popsicle. We will get back to
our arrow key on the top-left and we will
do the same thing here. We will find the
different placement. We will scale it down or if you want, you
can scale it up. It's up to you. We will find the
position that will work for us when you are done, Let's deselect everything
by hitting our arrow key. And let's do the same
thing one more time. Going back to our earliest
selecting our cat lollipop, Let's get back to
our heirarchy on the top-left and lives
do the same thing here. We are scaling
Irish shaped down. We are rotating it. We are finding a
different placements. When you are done,
Let's deselect everything by heating
our arrow key. Let's get back to our
layers and let's create one more layer above our
layer with the Scarecrow. We are tapping on
the plus icon and we will rename this
layer as bad cookie. So I just tap on the layer
and let's choose rename. Our cookie will be
made from three parts, but we will start very easily by creating the shape of our bat. Firstly, let's just make sure that we are on the right layer, which is our bad cookie. Let us get back to our canvas. Let's zoom it into
this blank space. And we will start very easily by creating a shape
of the triangle. The same way as always, we are just go into
our canvas and width one line we are
creating the needed cheap. At the end of the
line we are holding our Apple pencil to snap
it to a perfect shape. And if we need to adjust it, we're arguing over the
top to edit shape. Here we have some options. We will need to select training, and we will need to adjust the shape even more to firstly, let us keep this line that
we have over the top, which is horizontal,
strictly horizontal. So we will just go and
adjust our notes and we will try to keep it very
strictly horizontal. We will keep this
whole shape very wide and we will shrink it down a
little bit from the bottom. So let's just go
to this node over the bottom and we will
move it a little bit up. Also, we will need
to pay attention to this size because they should
be similar to one another. So if you need to
adjust their size, ledgers go to the notes
and let's play with that. When you have the
sheep like that's led, just tap on our screen and let just go and continue
agent or details. We will need to find an
approximate center of the ship, and we will need to put
it on the vertical axis. So let just go above our shape and let's
create this line that is going from top to the bottom for the
whole of our shape. Let's hold this line and
let's adjust the angle. And if we need to move it
more towards the center, ledgers go over the
top to edit shape. Let's move it to the
approximate center. When you are done
with this task, Let's just tap on
the screen and lead, just turn these
triangle into a bat. We will be using the
tool that Procreate has, which is called symmetry, because our bat is
symmetrical on both sides. Ledgers do the following. Firstly, we will go to our
wrench icon or our top-left. We will tap on it and we
will go inside Canvas here. Firstly, we will need to
toggle drawing guides. When needed it you
will see that you have some cells that
are going through the whole shape of your canvas. This is what we need, but
also it's not what we need. We will need to use
a different option. We will go towards our
edit drawing guide. We will tap on it and
you can see that we have a little tab on the bottom. So we will need to go
into symmetry folder. When you did it, you
will see that you have the line that is going
from top to the bottom. This line has two notes. We will need to go to this
blue nodes in the center, and we will move these nodes toward the
center of our shape. We're just going to this
line that we have created. And when we have
this line onto this, please let just have
done over the top right. Now we need to make
sure that our layer on which we are creating the
sketch is now assisted. So we will go back to our
layers and you can see that these bad cookie Leah now has
a little title assistant. That's exactly what we need. That means that if we draw
something on one side, it will be automatically
mirrored on the opposite side. And that's exactly what we need. Now when we have every headset, let just start making our bet. So now let's just go down
and we will start from here. We will stop a little bit from
this corner on the bottom. We'll mark it down and we
will go to one of the sides, which is natural
for our hand flow. And we will start by
creating a loop like that. When we have it, we will
just need to go along the sides of our triangle and we will need to
create wavy lines. You can play around, you can find what works for you. Basically, we will need to end up with something like that. You can play around
with this whole shape. You can make these lines
more courier if you want, you can just play around
with the whole shape. If you don't want to create
a very sloppy lines, you can just create
different lines. It's all up to you. You can make this
dense closer to the lines that you
have for the triangle. You can make them further
apart from this line. It's again up to you. When we have this basic shape, we will need to go to the soap. And firstly, we will step
a little bit aside from this central line and we will mark it down when we have it. We will just need to create
a curve going on the top. And we will connect it with this line that we
have on the bottom. When you have the basic shape, you can play around
with the elements. You can just try some things, just find what works for you. And when you have the
shape that you like, we will need to finish
it up by going to this little marks down and we will create half
on the circle here. Again, you can play around
with how big it will be, just make it smooth. And if you want to
adjust some parts, just go for it. And when you have this shape, Let's just go and add the ears. So we will go to the
intersection between the wing and r hat and we will create
little triangle here. Again, you can play
around with the size, with everything
with a curvature. If you want to
make these corners very smooth, just go for it. If you want to leave
them very pointed. Again, it's up to you
when we have this ears, let just go inside and
add the inner parts. So we're just going inside and we are repeating
the main shape. When we are done, we will go and add our
facial features firstly, go into our left part. Firstly, we will go to this line that we have
on the horizontal axis, and we will create
a little eye here, which will have the
shape of the ellipse, play around with its size, play around with the placement. If it's not happening
from her first try, just try out one more time. When you have the eyes, we will need to create
a little mouth. So we will go right
between the eyes. If you want, you can just grab an eraser tool and erase all these lines that
you don't need. We will just go between
the eyes and we will start by creating
a shape like that. When we had the shape, we will need to
add little Thanks. So ledgers go under our little mouth and we will
create a little triangle. Now, let's just go underneath the ice and we will
add our little cheeks. So again, you can play
around with their size and with the distance from
the center and from our eye. If you want to
adjust some places, just grab an eraser tool and erase everything
that you don't meet. The last elements
that we will add for our bat will be
lethal membranes. So firstly, we will go to our left part or
to a right part. It doesn't matter actually. We will just go and create
the lines like that. We can play around with them. We can look them around e.g. and create the shapes like that. We will go over these
little parts that we have, this little dance and we will add a few more lines like that. So when we have two
of them on each side, we will go to this little legs and we will create just
the curve like that. And now we are done with
our sketch of the bat. So later on we will be turning
it into a full cookie.
6. Bat Cookie Sketch: Before turning our
back into a cookie, we will need to do
some preparations. Firstly, we will need
to turn off drawing, assist and tweaking
do it by going back to our wrench icon
or the top-left, we will go under Canvas and we will toggle Drawing
Guide from here. But to be honest, it's not
enough if we just go back to earlier to our Canvas and
if we create one line, you will see that
you are mirroring this line on the opposite side. And we need to just
get rid of this. Ledgers, go and do one more thing we will
do to our layers. And as you can see are bad cookie layer
is still assisted. So that means that we will
need to turn it off manually. Let just tap on this layer and let's select Drawing
Assist from the list. Now, if we just do the
same thing as before, if we create some line, you will see that
we are creating just a singular way and it is not mirroring on
the opposite side. That's exactly what we need. So now when this
preparation is done, we will do the following. We will get back to
our layers and just in case our illustration
wants to turn out, okay, from the first try, we will just make a
duplicate of this layer. And that means that we can start all over again if we need to. So what we need to
do, we will go to this layer with our bad cookie. We will select it and we will swipe it from
right to left. We will choose duplicate. And now we have two layers
with the same content. And we can go to the
top one and we can hide it just in case
we need it later on. So we will go to this
little checkbox near that, an icon and we will tap on it so we know that we are safe. And if we need this
layer later on, we can start all over again. Now, let us get back
to our firstly with bad cookie and we will
do the following. We will add a little bit
of perspective to it. So when the layer is selected, we go into our transform
tool and we will use distorts with
the district method. We are aging every
season angle to mimic a three-dimensional
surface. So we are adding some
kind of a perspective. This illustration, this
little sketch of the bath, is our adsorb cookie. So we will need to
make sure that it is on some kind of a surface. So that way we can add
a little thickness to it and we can create the
bottom part of the cookie. What we need to do firstly, we will go to OneNote that we have over the top or the bottom, which is in the middle. And we will drag it a little
bit towards the right side, if you are on the top
or the left side, if you are on the bottom. So we will need to do
something like that. You can see when you
are moving your nodes, you are adjusting the whole
shape of your sketch. That's exactly what we need. And we can play around
with the notes. We can just make some
resilient angles. Basically, we will need
to do the following. We will need our right part
of the bounding box be a little bit wider than our
bounding box on the left. So we will need to
go to the left, e.g. and just make this whole
shape a little bit smaller so we can
play with the angles. We will need our
sheep over there, right Part B, a
little bit bigger than our shape over
the left part. So when you have
something like that, we can just go to
our arrow key on the top-left and tap on it one more time to
deselect everything. If it's not working for you, you can just try
out one more time. And when you have
something like that, you can follow along. So when we have
something like that, we will need to add a
thickness to this shape to make sure that it is
somehow a 3D object, we will need to go over
are convex and concave part and we will need to create vertical
lines going down. And that way we can easily go and repeat the shape that
we have on the bottom. We can do it manually, but also we can use a tool
that our procreate has. So we will need to get back to our wrench icon or the top-left, and we will need to
turn on Drawing Guide. But this time we will be
using not as symmetry, but a 2D grid. We will need to go over
our edit drawing guide. We will need to turn on 2D grid. You can see we have some cells and also for our convenience, we can go over the bottom part and we can toggle
assisted drawing. When we're at turning on
the assisted drawing, we will be glued to these lines that we
have for our grid. So let's just try it out. We will go and hit done
over the top right. And now we will zoom in
our Canvas and we will do to the middle part of our
convex and concave part. And we will just create
the lines going down. You can see how easily
we can do that. When you have the
line like that, it will be our thickness. So we will need one more time to go over all of
these little parts over the convex and concave parts and add these
little lines going down. Try to make them
similar to one another. Try to keep the same
length and ledgers go all or these parts and
let's add these slides. Let's make sure that all of
them have the same length. If you are sure with it, ledgers go and turn off our drawing guide because
we don't need it anymore. So again, we go into
our wrench icon, we are Togo and Drawing
Guide from here, let us check out whether it
is assisted into our layers. If it is, we are just
tapping on the layer and we are choosing
Drawing Assist from here. Now we can easily go
and repeat these shapes that we have of our
bottom part of the bats. Ledgers guilt and repeated just going along this close
allies that we just created, there will be our end point. Let's just go
entropy this shape. And that easily we have added some thickness and we
made it a 3D object. So now if you want, we can just grab our
eraser tool and we can erase all the lines
that we don't need. So let's just go and erase everything that is
not necessary here. When we have cleaned it up, we will need to make a copy on this layer and we will need to put the second cookie
on the bottom. So just imagine a
sandwich cookie. We have one on the top, one on the bottom, and we have some feeling
in between them. You can play around with
how much feeling you want. So now let us get
back to our layers. Let's select our layer with this cookie and we will make a duplicate swipe in the layer from right-to-left,
choosing duplicates. When we have this second layer with the same contents, we, I just go into our arrow
key on the top-left, we are using uniform
method and we will just drag this new shade down a
little bit to the right. You can play around
with the thickness. It's all up to you when you
have positioned it nicely. Let's just deselect
everything by hitting our heirarchy
one more time. And now we will need to get rid of all the elements
that we don't need. We will zoom in our Canvas. We will grab our
eraser tool and we will erase all the
overlapping parts. Just go to the top
cookie and let's erase this top part
of the bottom cookie. And also we can go inside
the shape and we can erase these lines because
we don't need them anymore. And when they have
something like that, we are ready to add the feeling. So the first thing that
we will need to do is to go to this
cookie on the bottom. And we will need to repeat this line along the whole
shape of the cookie. So let just tap a little bit aside and let's
repeat this shape. And when you have it, we will need to connect it
with our cookie on the top. And again, we can use our drawing essays to create these lines that will
be very vertical. Let just go to our
Arrange tool one more time and let's toggle
drawing guide here. One more time. We are going over A1 drawing guides and we will turn
on assisted drawing. We are hitting done
and we are going to our shape that we
have right here and we are creating
the vertical length. Firstly, let's start from the
sites where just go there. And let's create
these two lines. When we have these two
vertical lines on this side, let's just grab our
eraser tool and we will erase these lines that
will have on the back. Remember that we are using
our assisted drawing and now you can use only the vertical or the
horizontal lines. So now let's erase them. And when we did it,
we will get back to our brush and we will need to go inside the feeling sheep. And we will need to add these
lines that are vertical. We can go and add them on the same places that we have
them on our top cookie. So something like that. But as we have the shape
of the feeling a little bit smaller than the
shape of our main cookie. We can shift this line a
little bit toward the left, so we can do
something like that. Just a little shifting them
to the left and ledgers go all over the place and let's
add these vertical lines. And when you have
added this line, sledges go and turn
off drawing assist. So one more time we go
into our wrench icon, we add so Glenn
drawing guide here. And we need to make
sure that we have our layer node assisted
into our layers. Let us go to the layers. Let's just go to this layer
which is now assisted. We'll tap on it and we will choose Drawing Assist from here. We will also needs
to go inside of the shape of the feeling and we will need to
create another line here. So later on, we will color
these two parts differently. So let us go to the
middle part and we will repeat the line that
we have on the bottom. The very last thing
that we will need to do with this gauge is
go into our layers. And we will just combine
these two layers together. So we will go with
the bottom parts, which are layer on the top. We will tap on it and we
will choose merge down. And now everything
that we have for our bad is on one layer. Now, the last thing that we will do with the whole sketch, we will just go to
our elements one by one and we will position
them nicely onto our canvas. Ledgers go and start from our bad cook it the
same way as before. We are going back
to our arrow key. We are using uniform methods. We can rotate it, we can make it smaller,
we can make it bigger. We will need just to find the
placement for these cookie. If you want to play around
with other objects, find a different
placement for them. Ledgers go and do that. And also, if you want, you can feel the areas that are blank right now with some
additional elements. So e.g. let us go
back to our layers. Let's just create
one more layer. On this layer, we will go to the blank spaces and we
will add this candy corns. So what we need to do, we will need to create a
shape like that. It is a very rounded triangle. If it's hard to create
it from scratch, you can start by creating
a little olives, then create a little dot, and then connect this shape
with a shape like that. Add a few of them
if you want to. And when you have all the
elements that you need, we will just go inside of these elements and we will
create a few lines like that. So if you want, just go over the
blank spaces and let's add this little candy
corn all over the places. And we will meet up
in the next part when we are going to
be aiding the colors.
7. Cat Lollipop: Base Colors: Left that are coloring fired
from some tiny preparations. Firstly, if we are
satisfied with the position of all of our
elements onto our canvas. And if we don't want to change their position or angles
or anything here, we can just go to our layers
and we can combine all of these separate layers with
our sketches into a one, and it will be easier for us to work with one layer later on. So what we need to do, we
will need to go to the layers and we will need to do
it in just one movement. So we are positioning
one of our fingers on the bottom layer and one of
our fingers on the top layer, and we are making
a pinch movements. And now everything
that we have for our sketches are on one layer. We can just go and rename
this layer as sketch. I just tap on it and
let's choose Rename. And when we have this one
layer with our sketch, we also will need
to go and change the opacity level of this layer. The opacity level is how
transparent your layer is. And by default earlier comes
with 100% of capacity. We will need to create one more layer for
our coloring part. And we will need to see
what's happening onto our layer with this gauge
and also on our new layer. And we will need to
just go to this layer with the sketch and we will need to change the
opacity level. So let's just go to this icon. We will tap on it. We will go to the opacity
slider over the top part. And you can see that we
have some handle here. If we just grab it and if we move it sorted the left part, we still will be able to see what's happening
onto this layer, but it is not that bright and
it is not that disturb it. And it will be
helpful for us later on when we did
something like that. When we change the opacity
level to 50 something percent, we will tap on this
layer one more time, and also we will tap on the plus icon to
create a new layer. So let's just do it. And we will need to
position this layer underneath our layer
with the sketch layer. Just hold this layer
and let's drag it down. When you did it, ledgers go and start adding the colors
to one of our elements. And let's start with
our cat lollipop. We will be starting from the bottom and we
will be creating a new live for each element that we have for our Lollipop. So e.g. one layer
for this thick, one layer for this wrap, one layer for the main
shape of our lollipop. So what we need to do firstly, we will need to
prepare our brush. So let's just go back
to our brush library. We will go to the
calligraphy folder and we will choose
mono line brush. If you want, you
can go and change the size of it when you did it. Let's just go to our color
palettes and we will start by selecting the
scholar with dark brown name. We will tap on it and we
will get back to earliest. We will make sure that
we're on the right layer, which is our new layer. If you want, you
can just tap on it, you can rename it and e.g. name it, stick onto this layer. We will go, we will
zoom in our Canvas, do these needed place. We will go to the
stick and we will just very easily go and
create the shape. We can do just by creating the outlines and then dragging
and dropping the color. Or we can just
increase the size of our brush and just with one
line, create this shape. Just adjust the size
and create the line, hold it at the end. We're doing everything the
same way as we did before. When you have
something like that, when you have adjusted it, when you've played
with the angle, if you need, you can
go up to Edit Shape. Again. It's all up to you. When you found the shape
that is working for you, we will just tap on the screen. We will go back to our
layers and we will create one more layer
for our next shape. Let's just tap on the plus icon and let's rename
this shape as rap. And also to make sure that we are doing
everything correctly. Ledgers go and select
these two layers, wrap and seek, and we will
put them in a separate group. So to select the second layer, we will need to go
to it and we will need to swipe it
from left to right. You will see that now
two layers are selected. And when they are selected, when I go into the top-right and we are heating group also, we're going to
rename these groups. So we are going to it, we are selecting it
where it's happening it. And again, we are
choosing Rename and ledgers go and name
it cat lollipop. Now, let us get back to
earlier with a wrap ledger. Zoom in our Canvas. Let's get back to
our color palettes and we will select this color, will be the name White. With this color, we will go and create the shade that
we have for the rap. Again, you can just go and
select the size of your brush. You can start by creating an outline and then
adding the color inside. Let's just go entropy the sheep, you don't need to
repeat everything with 100% of similarity. If you want to
adjust some places, you are welcome to do it. If you prefer to
create an outline, we will need to close
the shape to be able to drag and drop
the color inside. So let just go and close it. When we have some feel
like that's ledgers go to our top-right corner and we will drag and drop the color
to the needed, please. Now when we have these pledges, get back to our layers
and let's create one more layer above
earlier with the rap, let just tap on the plus icon. Let's tap on the layer
and let's choose Rename. Let's rename it as body. And now when we
have a new layer, let us get back to our
color palettes and we will select this color
with the name pale orange. With this color, we will go
over the top part and we will create the shape of the circle the same
way as before, just creating an
outline with one line, whole July and at the end, adjust the size,
adjust the placement. If you need hold one of your
fingers on the screen to snap it to a perfect shape
of the perfect circle. If you need to
adjust it even more, go over the top to edit shape. When you are satisfied
with the shape, Let's just tap on the screen and let's just drag and
drop the color inside. So again, we're arguing to our top-right corner and just dragging and
dropping the color. Now let us go over the top and we will add the
color to the ears. Again. We are just creating
the outlines. When you have the
outlines layer, just drag and drop the
color to display sets. And when we have it, ledgers go and add this little rim that we have in the middle
part of our fees. So let us go to our
color palettes and we will select the color with
the name dark orange. You can change the
size of your brush. You can make these elements
very thick or very thin. It's up to you. Basically what we need
to do is to go inside of our shape and repeat this
line that we have here. The same way as always, we are just going there
and with one line we are creating the
shape and the end of it. We are holding it and
we are holding one of our fingers on the screen to
snap it to a perfect shape. If we need to adjust it, we are going over the
top to edit shape. Let's position it correctly. And when we are done with this
task with the same color, we will go to the inner parts of our ears and we will
add the color here. So let's just decrease
the size of our brush and ledgers go inside the ears
and let's add the shapes. When we have the outlines
of this little shapes, we can just go and
manually recolor them, or we can try out to just go and drag and
drop the color here. But probably we will face
a little trouble here. If we just drag and
drop the color. We will see that we are aiding the color to
the whole sheet. But also you can notice
that if we don't and hold our Apple
Pencil and it's up, we have color dropped
threshold and this blue line, without an holding
our Apple pencil, we will need to move it to
the left until only the area that we want to be recolored is recolored when you have it, let us go and do the same
on the opposite side. So we will just go to our
top-right corner and we will drag and drop the
color to the needed please. But also we can have
another problem here if we just get back to earlier and if we hide our layer
with the sketch, we can zoom in our Canvas
and we can see that we have a little line between our
main shape and our outline. We will need to grab our
brush and we will need to go menu and tricolor
this little line. Let's just do it on both sets. And also while we're still here, when we don't see our sketch, we can just grab this color that we have for the main shape. And we can adjust our line for the bottom part of the
inner parts of the ears. We can just go back to our color palette and
select the same color. But also if we already have
the color onto our canvas, we can use the Eyedropper
tool to select these color. We will need to hold one of
our fingers on the screen. And when you hold it, you will see that you have
this little too invoked. You can move this to
the color that you need and you will see that
the top part is changing. And when you have selected
the color that you need, you will just hold your
finger and you will see that the color
changed on the top right. And when you have changed the color ledgers go
and create a line that will adjust the bottom part of the inner parts of the ears. So just go in there and creating the curve going through
the whole shape. Hold it at the end, adjusted if you need to. When you are done, ledgers go and manually
adjust the shape that we don't need here when we have
everything that we need, ledgers, get back
to our layers and let's unhide our layer
with the sketch. Now we added the basic
colors for all the elements. And in the next part, we will add a little shadow
and also one more detail.
8. Cat Lollipop: Adding a Wrapper & Shadows: Let's start by creating a plastic wrap going along
the whole shape of art. So part of our head or the
body as we are calling it. Firstly, we will
need to go back to our color palettes
and we will need to select the color with
the name whites. When we did it, we
will need to get back to our layers and
we will need to go to early with a wrap here and tap on the plus icon
to create a new layer, we will rename it as body wrap. So let's just tap on this
layer and let's choose Rename. Now, we will need to get back
to earlier with the body. We will tap on it and
we will choose Select. You can see that now we have
selected only this object. And now when it is selected, we are getting back to
earlier with body wrap. We are tapping on it,
choosing Fill Layer. And now here you can see that
we have this same layer, but it is colored differently, just with a solid white color, and that's exactly what we need. Now for convenience,
alleges go to our layer with this cage
and we will hide it. And also we will hide our
layer with the background. When we did it, we will
get back to earlier with body wrap and we
will do the following. We will go to the top-left
and we will tap onto the magic wand to here we
will select Gaussian blur. Now you can see that we
have the Gaussian blur on the top and it says
slide to adjust. So we will just go
to our Canvas with our Apple Pencil
and we will just hold it there and we will
move it to the right. We will leave it at
something like ten per cent. You can see that we are blurring the outlines and that's
exactly what we need. We will use it to
create this rap going around the whole
shape when we did it, when we set our
Gaussian blur to 10%, we will need to go to
our S ribbon icon, which is our Select tool. And we will need to use
automatic selection. Just tap on this
automatic on the bottom. And we will go to
this board outline. We will tap on it
with our Apple Pencil and we will just
move it a little bit to adjust the threshold. Let's leave it at
something like 25%. You can see that this area, which is black and
blue later on, will be recolored
with the color. When we have selected
these ledgers go against our bottom panel and we will choose
Color Fill here. And you can see that we
have added the outline, which is repeating the
shape of our head here. That's exactly what we need. Now let's just
deselect everything by hitting R S ribbon icon. And we will zoom in
our Canvas and menu. We will go and recolor the places that we
need to recolor. So e.g. we will go
here near the ears and we will just go with our brush and we will recover these parts. Let's just make sure that we
have recolored everything. And now we can just
get back to early as we can get back earlier
with the background color. So let just tap onto
this little checkbox and ledgers go and unhide
our layer with the sketch. Now, we will just need
to go to earlier with body wrap and we will need
to adjust the opacity. Let's just tap on this icon and let's set it at something
like 40 per cent. Now, if we just go
back to early with a sketch and just for
1 s, we will hide it. You will see that we have a
nice transparent wrap here. And when we had the rap, we are ready to add
a little shadow. Firstly, let's start by creating a shadow on the main
shape of our lollipop. We will need to go and select the same color that
we have for the base. So if you want,
you can go back to your color palettes and
selected from here. Or if you want, you
can just go and invoke the eyedropper
tool by holding it on. They needed color. When you have the
color that she needs, we will need to go and create one more layer above
earlier with the body lie, just tap on the plus icon and let's rename this
layer as shadow. We will need to go and change the blending mode of this layer. Blending modes are different
ways your layers can interact with each
other so you can add different visual effects. For the shadow, we
will use multiply blending modes and multiple
blending mode multiplies the color of the
blending layer and the base layer and resulting
color is always darker. So what we need to do,
we will need to go to this icon and we will just select Multiply
blend mode here, S for the opacity. For now, legislated 35% ledgers grab our little handle and move it to where
the left parts. And also one more thing that we will need to deal with
this layer is to clip. This leads to a previous one. That means that we
won't be creating any new elements going
beyond the frames. So that means that we will be
aiding that needed elements only onto the areas that we already have on the
previous layer. Let me show you what that means. We will just go to our Canvas. We will increase or decrease
the size of our brush. We will go to one of the sides
and we will start creating the curve here going alone
the whole shape of one site. Let's just go and create
this little curve. You can see that we
are going beyond the frame that we
have for our shape. If we just go back to
our layers and if we tap on this layer and if
we choose Clipping Mask, you will see what happens. We will be recoloring the areas only that we have
on the previously. And that's exactly what we need. That's why we need
this clipping mask. So now let's just go
to this layer with our Shadow Legends go and
manually recolor this area that we have underneath
our little curve to make sure that you have recolored everything
that you need leg, just get back to the
layers and we will hide our layer with
the sketch layer. Just make sure that
everything is looking fine if you want to
add more shadows. So e.g. we can go and add a little shadow to
our little ear. We can go and do that. Ledgers decrease the
size of our brush. And let's just go to
one of the sides, the same side that we had our
shadow on the main shape. And we will add a
little curve here. Firstly, you can adjust the
curve the same way as always. You can hold it at the ends. You can go to the
top to Edit Shape, play around with it. And when you are done, we will go and manually
create another curve going down and we will
recolor the rest of the area, ledgers smooth and this
little corner that we have between these two
shades and ledgers, grab our eraser tool and we will erase everything
that we don't need. So e.g. if you have this
very soft corner right here, Let's just grab and
make it very straight. So play around with the shadows, play around with how big you
want your shadows to be. It's all up to you play
around with the curves. Just make sure that
you are adding the shadow only on one site. When you are done
with this shape, ledgers go back to our
layers and we will create a little
shadow on our rep. I go into early with a rap, just the wrap not
the body rep will tap on it and we will create
one more layer above. So again, alleges,
rename it shadow. We need to clip this layer
to a previous one so we add tapping on it and we
are choosing clipping mask. We are going to this icon and we are selecting multiply
blending modes. When we did it, we will get
back to our color palettes and we will select the color
with the name light gray. Now let's just zoom
in our Canvas to this area that we need
to add the shadows too, and ledgers get back
to earliest and we will unhide earlier
with the sketch. That way we will know where
we need to put our shadows. Now, let's just zoom
in it one more time, and let's just go to
this little parts and we will add our shadows. So just adding the
lines like that. Now let us check out
what we ended up with. So we are going back to our
layers and we will hide our layer with the sketch if we need to
adjust some places, Let's just go and do that. Now to avoid this double effect of the rap alleges go
back to our layers. We will select early
with body wrap and we will drag it under our
LEA with the main ramp. When we have it, we have a nice wrap for this
little bottom parts. And when we did it, we are ready to move
on to our Stieg. We are ready to create
one more layer, so I just tap on the
plus icon one more time. We will clip it firstly, and we will rename it as shadow. Let's go to our N. I can let select them multiply
blending modes for now legislative the opacity
at 50 something percent, we will get back to our
color palettes and we will select the color
with the name dark brown. We will go to the same site that we have our
main shadows on. And we will go to this site and we will add our
shadow to this tick. So just create the
line like that. And if you want, you can go underneath this
little rap and we can just repeat this shape here and add a little
shadow to our stick. And now, when we have all of
our shadows down, allege us. Move on to the next
part where we are going to be aided
our facial features.
9. Cat Lollipop: Facial Features: Start with our facial features. Let us get back to our layers. And firstly, we will unhide
our layer with the sketch. So that way we
will know where we need to put our new elements. Now when we did it, we will go to our shadow
layer of our body. We will select it and above it, we will create a new layer. So I just tap on
the plus icon and let's rename this layer
as facial features. Let's make sure
that we are using dark brown color
for this elements. And Linda zoom in our Canvas to these elements and we will
repeat that ledgers firstly, start by creating these
big circles for the eyes. Let's just go and increase
the size of our brush. And let's just put
these two dots. When you did it lead, just grab our eraser to
let adjust its size and let's just cut
this little pieces that we can add onto our sketch. And when we did it, let us get back to our brush. Let's decrease its size
and let's continue by creating the outline for this leads cell
knows that we have. Let's just go and
create this outline. When you are done with
the outline ledgers go to our top-right corner and let's drag and drop the color insight. When we did it, we will go and continue adding details
with this color. So let's just go and decrease
the size of our brush even more and we will start to create this outline
of the mouth. So just go with
the straight lines and create this outline. Make sure that the
whole shape is closed. And when you do it, let just go and drag and drop
the color insights. Now, let us go and select the different color
for the cheeks. We will get back to our
color palettes and we will select the same color that
we use for the background. Now let's go and increase
the size of our brush. And let's add this
little cheeks. Adjust them if you need to buy go and order top to Edit Shape. And when you are
done with this task, Let's just tap on the
screen to get away from this editing mode and let
us get back to our layers. And for 1 s, we will just go and hide our layer
with the sketch. We will go all
over these places, all over our elements for the
facial features and we will make sure that all of them
are clean and looking nice. So eating it to
adjust some of them, just grab an eraser
tool and adjust that. And when you're done
adjusting these elements, we are done with our
first illustration. In the next part,
we will be adding the colors to our little ghost.
10. Ghost Popsicle: Base Colors: Start with this part. Let's firstly go
to our layers and we will collapse that
group with cat lollipop. So let's select the whole group. And you can see that near the chat box we have
a little V icon. So let's tap on it. Now when everything here is
nice and clean, Let's just create
one more layer. So tap on the plus
icon and straightaway, Let's rename it as stick. While we're still here ledgers unhide earlier
with this gauge. And as you can see, we are again starting
from the bottom part. Now on the layer with this Tikal edges go and select
the color for it. Firstly, it will be pale brown and we will go and create
the outlines here. So let's just start by going
and repeating the lines. You can adjust the
size of your brush. And all you need
to do is to repeat what you have on your sketch. Just create the straight lines, just create a little
curve and make the whole shape closed shapes. If you need to, you know
what you need to do. You will need to hold your
Apple pencil at the end. If you need to
adjust it even more, go up to Edit Shape. If you have some
very straight angles and grab an eraser
tool and adjust them. When we have this
curve on the bottom, Let's just go over
the top and let's connect these two
shapes together. We will just go a little bit
about the shape and we will create a line here when
we have it ledger, drag and drop the
color inside of it. And when we are
ready, allege us, get back to our layers and
let's create one more layer. So we are tapping on the
plus icon and straight away, Let's rename it as base. Now when we have two
layers for these elements, ledger select them both
and legend group them. We will rename the group
as ghost popsicle. Now let's get back to early with the base and we will go back to our color palettes
and we will select the color with the
name pale orange. We will need to recreate this shape that we have
under the blanket. So let just go the same way as always and we will
create our lens, try to make smooth connections. And when you have
the bottom part, outlined ledgers create the
big line going on the top. We just needed to color
these middle parts. So let's just go make sure that this whole shape is closed. And when we did it, ledgers drag and drop the color
inside of this shape. Now when we have it, we will go back to
our list and we will create one more
layer above layer, just rename it as
sheets onto this layer, we will get back to
our color palettes. We will select the color
with the name White, and we will just go and repeat all the elements
that we have here. Let's make this sheep closed. When we have created
our outline layer, just drag and drop the color. And now we have recolored
everything that we need. Ledgers, make sure
that everything is looking nice so we
go into our layers. We will hide early
with this gauge. And if we need to
adjust some elements, we will go along them
and we will adjust that. And when you are
done with this task, let just go to the next part where we are going to
be adding the shadows.
11. Ghost Popsicle: Shadows: To start with this part, ledgers get back
to our layers and we will firstly go to our
layer with this tick. So let's select it and let's
create one more layer above. We are tapping on the plus
icon and straight away, Let's rename it as shadow. Let's clean this layer
to a previous one so we are tapping in it and we
are choosing clipping mask. Also, we will need
to go to this icon. We will need to select multiply blending modes and
S4, the opacity. Let's for now leave
it at 50 per cent. When we have it, we will
get back to our Canvas and we will need to
select the same color that we have for this tick. You can do it by going to the color palettes and
selecting it from here. Or you can invoke the
eyedropper tool and select the color that you
need from your canvas. Let's just hold one
of our fingers there. Let's select this brown color and let's go to
one of the sides. So e.g. the right one. And let's just create
a little shadow. Firstly, let's create
a vertical one. So that way we will just
repeat the land that we have, our right, and we will make
a little curve going down. When you hand this
little shadow ledgers go underneath our main
sheep on the popsicle, and we will create
another shadow here. Let's just increase the size of our brush and let's
create a line like that. You can hold it at the end. You can adjust it
to your liking. You can make it thick,
you can make it thin. It's all up to you. When you are done
ledger step on this green and let's continue
edit our shadows. So we will go back
to our layers. We will go to earlier
with the base, we will create one
more layer above it, straightaway, renaming
it as shadow. Let's click this layer
to a previous one so we are tapping on it and
choosing clipping mask. When I go into the icon, we are selecting
multiply blending modes. And for the opacity, Let's set 35 per cent. Now we are doing
back to our Canvas. We are selecting the same color
that we use for the base. And we will go underneath this little blanket and we
will repeat it shapes here. Again, you can play around with the thickness and when
you have just one line, you can just go manually and recolor the rest of the areas. And so when you are
done with this task, ledgers get back to our
layers and ledgers guilty. Earlier with the sheet, we will create one
more layer above. We will tap on it and
we will rename it. So let's just write down shadow. Let's clear this layer to a
previous one, tapping on it, choosing clipping mask, go into the an icon and select and
multiply blending modes. Now going back to our color palettes and
select in light gray color. And one more thing that
we will need to do here, we are getting back
to our layers and we will unhide our layer
with the sketch. That way we will know where
we need to put our shadows. Let's firstly go and decrease
the size of our brush. And let's just add
this little shadows to our inner parts of the ears. So let just go along them and let's create
this inner parts. And when we did it, let just go and add
a little shadow to make sure that we have
this little curl here. We will go along the shape and we will just
create a line here. When we have this line, we will go to the bottom
parts and we will create little shadows going from the quantitative parts
of this little sheet. So let's just go and create
little triangles like that. You can play around
with how big they are. And also, if you have more
of these concave parts, you will just go and create all of these lines
alone, all of them. When you have the outlines, ledgers go inside of these
shapes and let's recolor them. And now when we have
all of our shadows, we will just get back
to the layers and we will hide our layer
with the sketch. We will make sure that
everything is looking nice. And if we need to
adjust some places, we will just go and adjust them. So lets just grab our
eraser tool and ledgers go and adjust all the places
that we need to adjust. And when you are
done with this part, ledgers continue by going to the next part where
we are going to be aiding the facial features.
12. Ghost Popsicle: Facial Features: Let's begin by going to our
layers and we will create one more layer above our layer
with shadow of the sheets. So we add tapping on the
plus icon and straightaway, Let's rename it as
facial features. While we're still here into
our Layers panel alleges, unhide our layer
with the sketch. When we did it, we are going
back to our color palettes and we will select the color
with the name dark brown. Now when we have
ever been prepared, like just get back
to our canvas. Let's zoom it into
the facial features. Let's decrease the size
of our brush and we will start by creating the
outlines for our ice. The same way as always, we are just creating
it with one line. We are holding it at the ends to adjust it to a better shape. And we will go inside and
we will manually recolor this part when you hand
the eye on one side, Let's move on to
the opposite side. And let's do the
same thing here. So we are creating the line, we are holding it at the
end, adjusting its angle, its size, everything,
and then go inside of this shape and
creating the color inside of it. Now, let us decrease the size
of our brush just a little, and we will repeat this
line for our mouth. You can start by creating
a half over them out. Hold the line at the
ends, adjust its angle, adjust its placement, everything that you need to
adjust, adjusted. And then we will go to the opposite side and we
will do the same thing here. Try to make them
equal on both sides. When you are done,
we will go back to our color palettes and we will select the color with
the name background. With this color, we will add
the color to the cheeks. So let's just go and repeat
our little cheeks here. Tried to make the cheeks
equal on both sides, tried to place them similarly. And when you have
everything that you need, ledgers go inside and let's
recolor this inner parts. Now we are done with our
second illustration. So let's just take a look
whether elephant is looking. Alright, we will get
back to our layers and we will hide our layer
with the sketch layer. Just make sure that
everything is okay. And when you are done, we will continue creating. Our character is
aiding the colors in the next part and who will be working on to our scarecrow?
13. Scarecrow: Base Colors: Let's continue editing the
colors to our next element. So firstly, we will just
go to our layers and we will collapse our group
with ghost popsicle. Let's select it and let's go to this little v icon near the
chat box. We will tap on it. And when we did
it, we will create one more layer above layer. Just tap on the plus
icon and straight away, we will rename it as stick. So tapping on the layer and
choose Rename when we did it, we will just get back our
layer with the sketch. We will unhide it. We will go to our
color palettes and we will select the color
with the name dark brown. And again, we are starting
from the bottom layer, just go to this bottom part
and let's create this thick. You can start by creating an outline and then drag
and drop the color inside. Or you can just go and increase the size of your brush
and just create one line, hold it at the ends, position it correctly
and when you are done, Let's just get
back to our layers and let's create one more layer. We will name it wrap or cooler. Now when we have two layers, let just select them both. And legend group
that when we did it, we will go to our group,
we will tap on it. We will choose Rename, and we will rename
it as scarecrow. Now getting back to earlier
with rap or cooler, and we are going back to our color palettes and selecting the color
with the name whites. Now what we need to do is to go there to this wrap
or a cooler area. We will need to create our little outline and we will just drag and drop
the color in sight. So let's just go and
very quickly do that. When you've created
the outline on the boards and make
sure that you made this whole shape
close so you will need to connect the
lights when needed it, we will need to go back to our top-right corner and we will just drag
and drop the color. Now when we have it led, just go and continue by
going to our layers. We'll create one more layer and we will rename it as face. Let's just tap on it and
let's choose Rename. Now we will get back to
our color palettes and we will select the color with
the named pale orange. And with this color, we will go and create an outline for our main shape of the hat. Let's just go and do that. As always, you can create
just parts on the lines. You can hold them at the end and create the outline in that way. Just make sure that
all of your lines are closed and that they
are nice and smooth. And it's all played
jazz connect the lines. Let's make sure that the
whole shape is closed. And when you make sure
ledgers get back to our top-right corner and let's just drag and drop
the color in set. When we did it, you know
what we need to do? We will just go back to our layers and we will
create one more layer. We will call it hat. When we have this new layer, we are getting back to
our color palettes. We are selecting the color
with the name dark brown. And we will go and create the outline for the
whole shape of our hats. Like just go and do that. When we have all
the lines ledger, drag and drop the
color to the areas. Now to make sure that we created our top part
of the head correctly, let us do the following. We will go to our layers. We will go to our
layer with the face. We will tap on it and
we will choose, Select. We don't need color
fuel right here, so we can just tap on it. And when we have this selection, we will go back to our layers. We will go to r hat, and we will just go to this
part on the left and we will erase the part that we don't need suggests very accurately, just go in here and
erasing this part. Let's make sure that
we don't need to erase anything on our rights. If we need, we will
just go and erase it. When we are done, Let's
deselect everything by hitting R S ribbon
icon on the top-left. And when we have it, we are ready to add
some details and ledger started by adding these dividing
lines to our fees. Firstly, let us go back
to our color palettes and we will select the color
with the name dark orange. And when we did it, we
will need to get back to our layers and we will go
to our layer with the face. Let's tap on us to select, and let's do the following. We will tap on it one more time and we will select Alpha Lock. When I turn on Alpha lock, that means that we
are working only on the areas that we already
have wanted this layer. So it works similarly
to our clipping mask, but you are working
on the same layer. So when we turned on
our alpha lock ledgers, grab our color ledgers, grab our brush, and
let's just go and repeat the lines that
we have on our sketch. We won't be going
beyond the frames, will be working on the
inside these shapes. Let's just go and create these slides the
same way as always, just hold the line and the ends. Tried to recreate what
you have on this gauge. If you need to adjust it, you already it's
up to Edit Shape, clearance with the curvature, play around with everything
you want to play around with. When you're done
with the first-line, ledgers go over
the opposite side and let's create another line. And to make sure that
everything goes smoothly, allege us get back to
earliest and just for 1 s, we will hide our layer
with the sketch. Now, if you need to
adjust some parts, let's just grab the same color. We are not using the
eraser tool right here because we will be
just erasing the parts. We will just need to
select the same color. So e.g. we will go to
this little place. We will invoke our
Eyedropper Tool, and we will just go over this little place and
we will recolor it. When you are done
with this task, ledgers get back to earlier is allege us get back our
layer with the sketch. We will unhide it. If you want. You can go back to
your layer with the face and you can
turn off alpha lock. Let's just do it. We
will tap on it and we will choose Alpha
Lock from the lease. And now we will add one
more detail to our hats. Let's get to earlier with a hat, we will tap on it and we will turn alpha lock on this layer. When we did it, we will get
back to our color palettes and we will select the color
with the name dark orange. When we did it, we will
go to the bottom part of our top part of the
hat above the rim, and we will create
the first-line their legislature and
do it very accurately. Try to make a nice
divider between these littering and the main
shape of the hat. And when you have
it, we will just go above it and we will
recolor these parts. You can increase the size of your brush and we
will just go to the middle part of this big shape that we
will be recovering. And we will just create
another line here. Adjust the curvature
if you need to, and if you have some little part that
you need to recolor, let's just go and
manually do that. When we have the first-line lead to select the different colors. So we can just go to our
main shape of the hat and we can invoke our eyedropper
tool and select this color. And it will go above the top and we will add another line here. So the same way as before, just go and very boldly here and creating the line a
jazz the curvature. If you need to, end to
end, you have this line. Let just go below its end. We will recolor
this little piece. And when you have
these Dan ledgers, grab our color with
the name White. And with this color,
we will just go and create this little
shape of the rectangle. So just go in there and with one line we are
creating the shape. Hold the line and the yen
to snap to a better shape. And if it's not a rectangle, we can go over the top to Edit Shape and we can
select it from here. We can adjust its
size and if we need, we can just tap on the screen and adjusted later on manually. So if you have some gaps, lead, just go and create this
straight line going down. When we have
something like that, let us get back to the earliest. We will hide our layer with
this gauge and we will check out whether everything
is looking quite nice. If it is, we will move on to the next chapter where we are going to be aging our shadows.
14. Scarecrow: Shadows: Left eye this part by
going to our layers. And firstly, we will go
to early with this tick. Let's select it and let's
create one more layer above. We are tapping on the plus
icon and straightaway, Let's rename this
layer as shadow. So tapping on it and choosing Rename when we have this
layer rename slide, just clip it to a previously. So we are tapping
on it and we are selecting Clipping
Mask from the list. When we did it, when I go
into the n icon and we are selecting multiply blending
modes for the opacity. Let's leave it at 50 per cent. When you are done, ledgers
get back to our canvas. Let's select the same color
that we have for our Stieg. We can just go back to our color palettes
or from our canvas, we can invoke our
eyedropper tool and select the
color that we need. When we have the unit color. Let's just go over one of the
sides, e.g. there, right? One. And let's create a
little shadow here. We will do it very
easily by creating one line going from
top to the bottom. You can play around with the
thickness of your shadow, cool july at the ends
just adjusted to your liking if you
need to move it or if you need to
adjust it even more, go over the top to edit shape when you have the
first shadow ledger, zoom in our canvas
and let's go under our cooler and we will go there and create
a little shadow, the shape that we have a
right under our cooler. So we are just repeating
this line. Again. You can play around with
how thick this shadow will be now when I'm done
with the first shadow. So I just get back
to our layers. Let's go to our layer
with rap or cooler. And above it we will
create one more layer. Again, we are tapping
on the plus icon and let's rename this
layer as shadow. Let's clip it to previously. It's happened choosing
clipping mask. And then we're arguing to
the n Eigen and we are selecting multiply blending
mode for this layer. Let's leave the
opacity at maximum. When we did it,
let us get back to our color palettes
and we will select the color with the
name light gray. Now, if you want, we can get back to
our layers and we can unhide earlier
with this gauge. It's easier for you in that way. What do we need to do? We will need to go to
our color elements. We will need to zoom in
our Canvas and we will go to this concave
parts from them, from the bottom, we will
create a little triangle. Let's just go and do
something like that. When you have it on the
first concave part, alleges go all over all of
them and we will create this little triangles to check out whether everything
is looking fine. Let's just get back
to our layers. Let's hide our layer
with the sketch. And if we need to
adjust some elements, we will just go over
them with our brush. Or if we need to
erase some parts, we will grab our eraser tool
and we will erase this part. When everything is looking fine, alleges get back to our layers. Let's go to earlier with the face and let's create
one more layer above. So again, tapping on the plus icon to rename
the layer as shadow. Let's clear this layer
to a previous one. So tapping, choosing
clipping mask, go into the icon and select
multiply blending mode. For the opacity, Let's go
with 50% when we add down. So it's an earlier ledgers. Get back to our canvas. Let's select the
same color that we have for the body of our face. So we are invoking our eyedropper tool and
selecting the color. And firstly, we will
go over the boards and parts and we will create
a little shadows there. Basically what we need to do, we will go firstly to one of the segments and we will
create a curve like that. You can hold it at the end. If you need to adjust it, you know what you need to do. You will need to go over
the top to aided shape. When we have the first
curve like that, we will go to the
next segments and we will create another
curve like that. Again, hold it at the end, a jazz the curvature. It's all up to you when you have these curved alleges
continue and create one more on
the right side. Again, just go into
this intersection and creating these
big concave curve. When we have all
these little curves, let just go underneath them
and we will manually recolor this area ends when we are
done with the boards in part. Let's move on to the top and we will do the
same thing here, but this time the direction
will be reversed. So firstly, let's just go over our left part and we will
create a curve like that, hold it at the end, and ledgers continue
creating this little curves. So basically we are just
mirroring what we have on the water ends when
we have the outlines, let just go to this part on its own and we will
manually recolor it. And when we replace
it with this task, lead us move on
to our next layer and let's create one more layer above earlier with the hat. Go into this layer,
tapping on the plus icon, renaming it as shadow. Let's clip it to previous layer. So tap on clipping mask, go into the icon and
select and multiply blends in melt opacity
at 50 per cent. Firstly, let us go over our orange part with the same color that
we have right now. And we will just go and
create a little shadow there. And when we have
this little shadow, we will go and select
the same color that we have for the main
color of our hats. So let's one more time invoke our Eyedropper Tool and we will create a peculiar
a shadow here. So firstly, we are
just connecting our new shadow with a shadow
that we have on the bottom. We are creating a
little line like that. When we had this line, we will go and create a
little curve going in that direction and another
curve going more to the right. And when we have it, we will go to the bottom
with a straight line. And then we will go and
create another line that will recreate the same
curvature that we have on the bottom
of this little hook. So something like that. And now we will go underneath
this little outline that we have created and we
will manually recolor it. And the last shadow
that we will add will get at the back
part of our hats. So we're just given Firstly over our left part and we are
creating the line like that and all the rest of
the area we will recover manually When we
haven't done one side. Let's do the same on
the opposite sides. So firstly, just elongating
the line that we have going through the
top part of our hats. And when we have
this little while, we will go to the rest of the area and manually
we will recolor it. And when we did it, we are
done with our shadows. So in the next part, we will add the facial features.
15. Scarecrow: Facial Features: Start with our facial features. Lead, just make
sure that we have this color selected dark brown. When we have it, we will just get back to our
layers and we will create one more layer above earlier with the hatch shadow. So tapping on the
plus icon created a new layer and rename
it as a facial features. Now let's turn on our layer
with this gauge so we will know where we need to boost our little facial features
and when we did it, let us get back to our canvas. Let's zoom it in and let's start aging
our facial features. So firstly, let us
start from the eyes. So we will just go and increase
the size of our brush. And we will put these two dots. When we have them, we will grab our eraser tool. We will adjust its size
and we will go and cut this little piece is that we
have cut onto our sketch. When we are done with this, we will get back
to our brush and we will repeat the
shape of the notes. So again, we are just
creating the outline and then we will drag and
drop the color insights. So when you have
the outline layer, just drag and drop the color. When we have our unknown sledges go entropy the
shape of the mouth. So let's just
increase the size of our brush and we will
create this curve. Hold it at the end if
you need to adjust it, go over this up to Edit Shape. When you have the
shape that you like, ledgers tap on the screen. Let's decrease the
size of our brush and let's create these
lines for this teaches. And when I'm done with
the mouth ledgers, get back to our color palettes, and let's select the color
with the name backgrounds. And with this color, we will go and
create our cheeks. If you want, you can
just increase the size of your brush and create
little lines here. Or if you want, you can start by creating outlines and then by
dragging and dropping the colors insights Try
to keep the size and the position of the cheek
similar on both sides. If you need to adjust them, go over the top to edit sheet. When you are done with
the outline layer, just drag and drop
the color insight. And now when we are ready, allege us, get back
to our layers. Let's hide our layer
with the sketch and let check out whether we need
to adjust some places. And if we do, we will just go and adjust that. And when everything
is looking fine, we are ready to move on
to our last illustration.
16. Bat Cookie: Base Colors & Shadows: Let's start this part
by going to our layers. And firstly, we will collapse
our group with scarecrow. So let's select it
and let's go to this little v icon near the checkbox and
we will tap on it. When we did it, we will
create one more layer above. So let just tap on the plus icon and let's
rename this layer as top. Now let's unhide the
layer with the sketch, and we will go back to
our color palettes and we will select the color
with the name pale brown. With this color, we will
go over the top part of our beds and we will
recreate this outline. So let just select the
size of our brush. Let's go along the lines and we will just
create the outline. Remember that you
don't need to create the whole lines
with just one line. You just need to create
the parts of them. You will need to
connect them smoothly and you will need to
make a nice outline. And to remember that you
will need to make it close. So let just go all over
these little lines over the soap and we will
create these outlines. When we have the outline ledgers get back to our layers
and just for 1 s, we will hide early
with this gauge and we will check out whether
everything is looking nice. If you want, you can go all over these very straight
corners and you can adjust them and turn
them into curves. Let's make sure that
everything is closed. And when we did it, we will
get back to our layers. We will unhide earlier
with this gauge and let just go and drag and drop
the color into this area. So just go into our
top right corner and we are dragging and
dropping the color. Now when we have these, we can go and manually create the same thing
for the bottom cookie, but we can start by adding the shadows to this little piece that we have over the top. And then we can just copy it
and put it on the bottom. So let's just do it in that way. Firstly, we will just
go back to our layers. We will create one more layer
above earlier with the top, we will rename it as shadow. We will need to clip this
layer to a previous one. So let just tap on it. Let's choose clipping mask. We will go to our icon, we will choose our
multiply blending modes. And ledger said the
opacity at 50 per cent. Also, while we're still
here into our layers ledger select both of these layers and we
will group them. We will rename the
group that cookie. And now we're getting back
to earlier with the shadow. Get back to our Canvas and we will be going to
the bottom part, which is our thickness bite and we will add
some shadow here. Let's just give a repeat this
line that we have ordered. So part and we will create
the shadow under this area. When we have this outline, let just increase the
size of our brush and let's manually recolor
this bottom part. When we did it,
let us get back to our layers and we
will hide our layer with the sketch to check out how it looks without
this little sketch. If you think that maybe
the shadow is too bright, we can always get back to
earlier with the shadow, go to the m, I can adjust
our opacity to our liking. E.g. we can leave it at
something like 20 per cent. When we did it, we
will get back to our sketch and with
the same color, we will go to this little parts that we have over the top. We will recolor
them to the ledger, decrease the size of our brush. And let's repeat these
lines that we have and we will drag and
drop the color insight. If you want to add more details, you are welcome to do it. And when we have these, we are ready to create
one more layer above. We are ready to snap it to a previous layer and we are
ready to add some details. So firstly, let's just go to our group with that
cookie we will select earlier with
the shadow and we'll create one more
layer above layer, just rename it as details. Let's clip it to previous layer. So we are selecting it, we are choosing clipping mask. We will get back to
our color palettes and we will select the color
with the name dark brown. With this color, we will go to the inside part of the ears and we will add this
little elements here. So just repeat the shapes
of your main shape of the ear and try to make this elements equal
on both sides. And when we are
done with the ears, we will go to this edge
that we have our shadow on, and we will be adding
some details here. So we won't go to this
concave parts and we will be adding some
lines going down. And that way we will add a
little bit of volume here. We can do it manually by just go in and creating
these lines going down. Or we can make it
very accurately the same way as we have
created these lines. So we will go to Arrange, I can over-the-top and
we'll go under Canvas. We will turn on Drawing Guide, and we will go to
Edit Drawing Guide. We will be using 2D grid, but we will need to rotate
it the way our lines on the grid are similar to the lines that we
have on the sketch. So we will need to go to our green node over
the top and rotated. So the line that we have
on this gauge going in the same direction that
our grid when we did it, we will go over in
the bottom and we will turn on assisted drawing. When we did it, we are hitting
down over the top right. And now to make it
even accurately, we will go back to our layers. We will go to our
layer with the shadow. We will select it and we will tap on it and
we will choose, select from the list. You can see what is
happening right here. We will need to go
back to our layers and we will need to go back to
our layer with the details. And now in that way we
will be adding the color only on to the areas that we have on this layer
with the shadows. So very easily ledgers
Gil firstly to our middle part right here
between this little lax, we will add little
lines going like that. So basically we are stepping a little bit from
this slide that we have on our sketch and we
are shading this area. And when we did it,
we will go over the right part and we
will add these lines, these little shadow to
this concaved parts. We are stopping, not
going too far from this line that we have on our sketch when we
have this shadow, Let's move on more to the right, to the next concave part. And we will add these lines here when we have
them on that side. Let's move on over r, right? And let's add these little
shadows to the left part. Firstly, ledgers go to this
line that we have right here, and we will add a little
shadow in that way. Try to be accurate
and don't go to this lizard parts that we have onto our shadow layer
on the top part, if you just went a little
bit beyond the frames, grab an eraser tool
and erase this little piece ends when you have these shadow ledgers
go a little bit more toward the left part
to the next concaved parts. And let's add a few lines here. And when you have
something like that, let's just deselect
everything by hitting R S ribbon icon one more time. Now we don't need our
assisted drawing anymore. So let's just get back
to our arrange icon. Let's toggle Drawing
Guide from here, and let us get back
to our layers. Let's go to our layer
with the details, tap on it and choose Drawing
Assist from the list. Now, let us turn off our escapes to check
out how it looks. And if you think that
maybe it is too bright, we can always just get
back to this an icon onto earlier with the details
and adjust the opacity. So probably something like 45, 50 per cent will work better. And when we have this
whole topic cookie Dan, we will go back to our
layers and we will need to make a copy of it and
position it on the bottom. So what we will do, we will go to the whole group, we will select it, and we will swipe it from right to left and choose Duplicate. Now, you can see that
we have two groups with that cookie and we will
go to one of them, doesn't matter which one. We will just need to
rename it as bottom. I just tap on it and
let's choose Rename. And we will need to grab
this whole group and position it onto our main
group and the early, which is named top. So let's just grab
this whole group and ledgers go and drag it down. And when we have one of our groups inside the
other main group, we will go back to our layers. We will just go back to earlier with this gauge and
we will unhide it. Now, when this group which
is named bottom is selected, we will go to our
Transform tool, which is our arrow key. On the top-left, we will
use uniform method and we will just drag it to the place
which it needs to be on. And when needed It's ledgers, deselect everything by
hitting our arrow key. Now, we will need to go and
adjust it just a little bit. So we will go to this layer
which is called shadow, and we will erase these
lines that we don't need. So let's just go
grab our eraser tool and we will erase these
additional elements. When we have two cookies, we are ready to add the feeling. We will go back to our layers. We will select this
group which is near the bottom and above it, we will create another layer. Let's just tap on the plus icon and let's rename it as feeling. Let's get back to our
color palettes and we will select the color
with the name White. And with this color, we will go to this
bottom part of the feeling and we will
create our feeling here. So let's just go and repeat
the lines that we have here. If you want, you can
create the whole feeling, not just the bottom part of it. And later on we can just recolor it with a
different color. So let's just do it in that way. We will just go
inside of this shape and we will repeat the
lines that we have here. When we have this outline which we made with
the white color, we will just go back
to our layers and we will hide our
layer within the top, which is on the top. We will go and we will add this line to combine the
whole shape together. So we will need to
make a closed shape. So let's just go and
create some lines that will connect our
lines on the sides. And when we are done, ledgers drag and drop
the color insights. Now we can just get back and get back earlier
with it soap, so ledgers unhide it. And when we had this feeling, we will need to add a different
color on the top part. So let's just go and create
one more layer above, and we will clip it
to a previous layer. So tap on the plus icon and renaming this layer
firstly as feeling too, let's cleave it to previous
layer so it's happening, it's choosing clipping mask. We are not changing
our blending modes. We are using normal and we will just go back to
our color palettes. We will select the color
with the name pale orange, and we will go to
the top part of the sheep and we
will recolor it. So just go in there and creating this line that we have
in the middle part. And when we have this line, we will increase the size of our brush and manually
recolor that. So part. When we did it, let us
get back to our layers and let's check out how it
looks without the sketch. If everything is alright, we will need to go to
this feeling parts and we will need to add this little shadows
that are on the edge. And the same way as we did with our main shape of the cookie. So let's just go to
our layers and let's firstly go to our layer
with the white feeling. We will select it and we'll
create one more layer above. You can see it's automatically
clipped to a previously. That's because we have one
more clipping mask on the top. Now, we will need to
go to this icon and we will need to change the
blending mode to Multiply, we are using the
maximum opacity. When it's done, we will
rename this layer as shadow. Now we are going back to
our color palettes and we are selecting the color
with the name light gray. When we did it, we will go
back to our wrench icon. We will go under Canvas and we will turn on drawing guide here. You can see that
the direction of the cells is what we need. When we have it, we will
go over our edit drawing guide and we will turn on
assisted drawing. We did it. We are heating Dan
and we will go right underneath our shadows on the
main shape of the cookie. And we will create the lines
going in that direction. So let just go and end this little shadows
on our white areas. When we are in Zan ledgers, go back to our layers ledgers guilty earlier with feeling too, we will create one
more layer above. We will rename this
layer as shallow twos. So tap, rename and
write down the name. Let's clean this lead to previous one tab and
choosing clipping mask, go into the icon, select multiply blending mode for the opacity going with 50%. Now we will get back
to our color palettes. We will select the color
with the name pale orange. And also we will
need to get back to our layers and we will need to manually turn on assisted drawing onto these
new layer shadow too. We will tap on it and we
will choose Drawing Assist. And the very last thing that
we will need to do here is to select our area
with the orange, fill it. So we go into our layer with feeling to the orange
one, we add 7.8. We are choosing selects. When we did it, we
are getting back to early away the shadow too, which is assisted layer. And now we can just get
back to our canvas. We can just go and create
this little shadows. And the same way as we
did with the white areas, we will just go near them, above them, under our
shadows on the cookie. And we will create these lines with this bright color ends. When we aren't done, we can deselect everything by hitting R S ribbon icon and we can
turn off our drawing assist. So let just go back to our range icon and let's toggle
Drawing Guide from here. When we are done with this task, we are ready to move on
to the next chapter and we are ready to add
our facial features.
17. Bat Cookie: Facial Features: So to start with our
facial features ledgers, get that to our color palettes, and let's select the color
with the name dark brown. When we did it, we are
getting back to our layers. We are going to the
top of this group with bad cookie to the layer
which is called details. We'll select it and above it, we will create one more layer
which we will rename as facial features when we have it ledgers get back our
layer with the sketch. So we will just go
to this little icon with the chat box and
we will unhide it. Now, let's just
zoom in our Canvas. Let's grab the size of the
brush that is suitable, and let's start aging
the shapes of our ice. Create them just with one line, hold the line and the end. You need to adjust
the whole shape, go over the top to Edit Shape. Try to make these shapes
similar on both sides. Then just manually go inside of this shape and recolor it. Now when we are done with our eyes leg just
go and firstly, add the lines for our things. So we are getting back
to our color palette. We are selecting the color
with the name White. Let's decrease the
size of our brush. And let's create this
little triangular shapes. If you need to adjust them, just grab the eraser
tool and adjust them. When you are done
with the things ledgers get back to
our color palettes. Lead, select the same color
that we use for the eyes, which is dark brown. Let's decrease or increase
the size of our brush. And let's repeat these lines
that we have for the mouth. As always, hold the
lines at the ends, adjust the shape by going
over the top to Edit Shape, do what you need to do here. Try to make these shapes
similar on both sides. And when you have the mouth, Let's just go back to
our color palettes and let's select the color
with the name backgrounds. And with this color, we will recreate the cheeks. Again. You can just
increase the size of your brush and create
the little lines here. Or you can create
a little ellipsis and add the color inside. It's up to you. Try to make the shapes
equal on both sides, a jazz them if you need to. And when you have
the outlines layer, just drag and drop
the color insights. And two, and we are
done with this task. Let's just get back
to our layers and let's hide our layer
with the sketch. And we will check out whether
everything is looking fine. If you don't like some elements or if you need to
adjust some places, just go over them
and adjust that. And when they have
added their face, we are done with our
last illustration. So now let us get
back to our layers. Let's unhide our layer
with this gauge. If we want, we can just go
create one more layer and we can create these little
elements of candy corns. So let's just meet
in the next part and we will finish up
the whole illustration.
18. Final Beautification: Let us get back to our layers. Let's just select our layer with the bad cookie and we will
create one more layer above. We will call it miscellaneous. And onto this layer we will just get back to
our color palettes. We will select the color
with the name pale orange. And we will just go all over our additional elements and we will it create
them with this color. So let us firstly go and
create the outlines, and then we'll drag and
drop the color in sets. When you have the outlines, Let's drag and drop the color. When we did it, we will
get back to our layers. We will hide our layer
with the sketch. We will grab our eraser
tool and we will adjust our shapes when you're satisfied with your
miscellaneous achieved. So the candy corns let just go and add the different
colors to them. So firstly, we are just
going back to our layers. We will tap on this layer and
we will choose alpha lock. When we have
selected Alpha lock, we are going back to our
color palettes and we are selecting the color
with the name dark orange. When we have this new color, Let's increase the
size of our brush. And let's just go to
the middle part on this candy corns and we will
add another layer of color. We will just create
the curve like that. When you haven't done
one element lead, just go all over
the rest of them. And let's create this
little lines there. When we have that sled, just get back to
our color palettes. Let's select the color
with the name whites. And we will go to the top of this candy corns and we
will add this color there. And when you are done
with this task, e.g. we can get all over our Canvas and we can
add some sparkles. You can find these browsers
that we are gonna be easily right now
under the resources. So just grab this sparkle
brush and with the same color. Let us firstly go to our
miscellaneous layer. We will need to
turn off our Alpha. Look. Let's just tap on it and let's choose Alpha
Lock from the list. And now when we are free to draw everything on this layer, Let's just go to some places
and let's add some sparkles. And when you are done
aging this particles, we are done with the
whole illustration. Thank you for
