1. Introduction: Hello everyone. I'm Uni. And into this class we'll draw a witchy cat composition. This class doesn't require any prior experience or fancy tools. We'll start from scratch and we'll be using simple techniques throughout the process. Everything you'll see will be happening in procreate. However, if you have other software or want to try traditional materials, you're welcome to join. If you're ready to start, let's jump right into it. 2. Basic Scheme: Let's start our class by deciding what kind of canvas we are going to be using. You can see it is a very simple standard square canvas that you can find. In procrete, both pixel width and pixel height are set at 2048 pixels. But of course, if you would like to use any other dimensions for the canvas, just go for it. As for DPI, we are using 300, and as for the color profile, it is set as SRGB with the low number. When it's all done, let's just hit down over our top right, and we will be redirected to R N canvas. Now you can use the colors that you pick yourself, but if you want to follow along with the class and if you want to use the colors that you will see throughout the class, please go to the project and rest your up and download all the materials when you did it. Let's just go straight to our color palettes and let's check out what we have here. Here we have two options of how we can use our color palettes, compact view and cards. Let's just go to the cards, because here we have all the colors, names and it will be easier for us to navigate through them while we are still here into our color palettes. Let's select the first color that will help us to build up the first scheme that later on will help us to build up the whole illustration. We will go to the color with the name lines and we will just tap on it. To select when we have our color, let's just go and change the color of our background. What we need to do is to go to our layers. And we will go to our background color layer. Let's just tap on it. And if you have the lay out like this, if you have little tiles on the bottom to your color palette. Let's just go to the palette on the bottom right to go again to our cards when we are the cards at the background layer. Let's just go and select the color with the name, background. When we've changed the color of our background, we are ready to go and pick the brush that we are going to be creating our scheme and our sketch with. Let's just go to the brush library. We'll go to the sketching folder and we will select any brush that you like. From here, you can go and pick one brush. Take it out to a canvas, try it out if you don't like it, go back to the brush library, select another brush, and find what works for you. When you have the brush that you like, let's just go again to our canvas and let's just start building up our scheme. What we need to do, firstly, is to go and create a vertical line that will go through the whole canvas. We will need to go to the top of our canvas and we will need to make a very, very straight line. You can see that Procreate has this grid all around your canvas. Let's firstly go over the top. We will go right between the cells to this intersectional line. And we will put our pencil there. Then we'll go to the bottom with our line and we will try to put it again right between our cells. Also, we are holding our apple pencil. So we are snapping our line to a perfect one. When you have the line, let's just lift up our apple pencil. And then we will need to make sure that this line that we have just created is going straightly through the middle part of our canvas. How can we do it very easily? We will just go to our transform tool, which is our arrow key on the top plate, we will tap on it. On the bottom, you will see that we have this panel. Firstly, we will need to select uniform method and then we will go to snapping over the bottom left. We will tap on it and into the settings, we will toggle snapping here too. Now if we get back to our canvas and if we hold our apple pencil at some blank space. And if we start to move our line, you will see that at some point we have the orange lines going through the middle part of our canvas. One vertical, one horizontal, and a lot of lines that are going through the edges of our canvas. What we need to do is to hold our apple pencil and move this line that we have just created. On this line that is orange that is going through the middle part of our canvas. When you match them together, we will lift up our apple pencil. Then we will go to our key one more time to deselect everything. Now we are sure that this line is going through the middle part. And the next thing that we will need to do is to create another ship that will help us to build up our composition. Let's just go back to our layers and we'll create one more layer here above our layer that we already have here. What we need to do onto this layer is to create a triangle. We are going again to our canvas and very boldly with just three lines without lifting up our apple pencil. We are creating our ship. Let's just go and try to make it the way that this line that is going through the middle part is going through the middle part of our triangle. Let's just go and create the shape again. At the end of the line, we are holding our apple pencil. And also we can hold one of our fingers on the screen, and our shape might snap to a perfectly triangular triangle. What we need to do next is to adjust our size. You can see that if we are moving our apple pencil from side to side while we are holding it, we are adjusting our size. When you're satisfied with the size, let's just lift up everything that we are holding right now. And then we will go to our arrow key one more time to adjust the position of this element and maybe to adjust its size. Again, we are going to our key on the top plat uniform method. And we will move this top part of our triangle to the middle line that we have that is going through the middle part of our canvas. Let's just go hold our apple pencil and we will move our sheep. We will need to find this line that is going through the top part, which is orange. And we also can go and find the line that is going through the horizontal axis. In this way, we will know that our sheep is right in the middle of our canvas. When you found these two lines? Let's just go and deslect everything by going to our arrow key, we are tapping it. And then we will go again to our layers and we will create one more layer. With this new layer, we will need to create a ship that will divide our triangle into three equal parts. We can go and create two lines that will be going through the horizontal axis, but also we can just go and create rectangle. Let's just go over one of the sides firstly, and we will start creating our ship of the rectangle the same way as we did with our triangle. We are doing it just with one line without leaching up our apple pencil. Let's just go and create the ship like this. At the end of the line, we will hold our apple pencil and you will see that you snapped it to a better shape. But also you can try to hold one of your fingers on the screen to snap it to even better shape. No worries if it's not happening for you. If you don't have a rectangular rectangle, we can just go over the top to our editing mode and we can find the rectangle here. If you don't have the option rectangle, you can go to option poly line and you can adjust this little nodes that you have on your screen. You can go and hold your apple pencil at one of the nodes and you can drag it to the place that you need. What we need to do is to create a simple shape like that. When we have it, we will tap on the screen if we are at the editing mode and we will go away from it. Now when we have our ship on the rectangle, we will need to position it onto our canvas again to the middle of it, we will have three equal parts on our triangle. Again, when we have the ship, we are going to our air key on the top left, uniform method snapping is on. Now we are going again to our canvas. We are holding our apple pencil and we are moving our ship. We will reach these two lines that are orange. If you want to adjust the size of your element, you can go to one of the nodes and you can just go and tweak it. For example, we can go to the node that we have in the middle on the top. We can hold our apple pencil there and we can drag it down. The whole ship will be a little bit smaller. Let's position it one more time, so we will have it right in the middle of our canvas. And our shape of a triangle will have three equal parts. Again, holding our apple pencil and finding the line that is going through the center. When we have it at the, please, let's just go and desalect everything by hitting our arrow key. Now when we have this scheme, let's just go to our lease, and let's combine all these three layers together. What we need to do is to put one of our fingers on the top layer and another on the bottom and make a pinch movement. When you have just one layer, we will need to go and rename it as scheme. Let's just tap on the layer and we will choose rename from the list. Let's rename it as scheme. When we have it renamed, let's just go and change the capacity of our layer. We will need to change the capacity because we don't want these lines to be very bright, but we still want to see them onto our canvas. To do so, we will need to go to our icon, onto our layer with the scheme. And you will see on the top we have the slider capacity. Let us go to our slider. We will grab it and we will move it toward the left side until we still can see the lines. But when they are not that bright, find the capacity that works for you. When you are done, let's just tap on our layer with the scheme one more time to close this window. Now we are done with our scheme. Let's move on to our next part, where we will start creating our sketch. 3. Books Sketch: Let's start working onto our Skage by going to the third that we have on the bottom and into the third, we will create three books. These books should probably be into the perspective, but we don't want to go too deep into our perspective drawing. Let's just go and use one option that procreate has, and it will be easier for us to create the books, and probably all of us will have a similar result. Firstly, let's just go back to our layers and we will create one more layer above our layer with the scheme. Again, we're tapping on our plus icon for now, let's just keep this layer without any. When we have our layer, we will go to the bottom part, to this intersection between the vertical line and the horizontal one. And we will step just a little bit higher from this intersection and we will start creating a line that will be vertical. Let's just go to this line that we have in the middle. And we will create a line going up that way. Hold it in the end, adjust the angle. And when you have this line, we can either go to the editing mode or to our transform tool. And we will need to move this line a little bit toward the left. Decide what option you want to use. And when you decide it, let's just move our little line a little bit toward the left. Let's just tap just a little bit from the center when you have it in that way. Let's just tap on the screen if you are at the edited mode or onto our arrow key on the top left to get away from our modes. Now when we have this little line, let's just go again to our layers and we will create another layer above. Onto this layer, we will again go to our line that we have, going through the middle part of our canvas and we will create another vertical line. Let's just go and create it in that way. It will be quite big, adjust the angle, and when you have it, we will go to our arrow key on the top left, which is our transform tool. Take a look at the top of your line. You will see that you have a green node. And this green node will help you to rotate your line. But we will go to this node and we will just tap on it. When we're at taping it, we will have this little window and we will just go and adjust the angle on this line. Let me just go to this window with our angle and we will write down 93. We will also go to this little two plus minus and we will tap on it. We will have -93% when we have it set in. That way, we will just go to our line and we will move it to this little vertical line that we have made just before. We are just going to this line and we are combining our new line with the previous one. When you have it that way, let's just go again to our arrow key. And we will select everything. Now we will go again to our layers and we will create one more layer into this layer, we will do the same thing. We will go firstly and we will create another vertical line. Go to this line that you have in the middle. Hold your line in the end. Adjust the angle if you need to. When you have the line, we are going to our archey one more time. Go into our green nodes over the top, and this time we will write down 85 again, we will go to this little two plus minus, we will tap on it and we will have -85 Now we will go to the right and we will combine these two lines together. Let's just zoom in our canvas and let's combine our line on the bottom. When you have your result, let's just go and tap on our error key to deselect everything. Now we can just go to our layers and we can combine these two lines together. Let's just go to this line that we have on the top, which is our layer fourth. We will tap on it and we will choose merged down. Now we have these two lines on one layer, you can make sure that they are on one layer by going to this little check mark on the right. You can just hide it. You can just unhide it and you will see that it is on one layer. Now let's just go and make a copy on this layer. To make a coby, we will just need to go to this layer and swipe it from right to left, and choose duplicate. Now we have two layers, three and we will go to the top one. When we have it selected, we will go again to our irrokey on the top left and we will move this little line to the top. Let's just go hold our apple pencil. And we will move it up until we reach the top of our line that we have created vertically. When you have it, let's just go to our Irkey on the top left. We will deslect everything if you want to. You can go again to your lies and you can combine these two layers together. Again, going over our top layer, tap in it and select and merge down. Now when we have it on one layer, let's just go again and create one more layer above. We will go and firstly create this little vertical line that we had before. But this time let's position it a little bit differently. We will move it right to this middle line that we have. Again, we are going to this line, make sure that you are on the new layer and we will create another vertical line. Also, you can adjust that thickness of your book if you want. You can go and make it very thin. If you want, you can make it very thick. It's all up to you. Let's just make sure that we will fit free books inside this little part that we have on the bottom. Adjust this line if you need to. When you have it, let's just go over our layers one more time and we will create a new layer above. One more time, we are going and creating the line that will be vertical. Let's again go to this middle line that we have. We will hold our line in the end. We will adjust the angle if we need to. Again, we will go to our air key on the top plate to go to our uniform method. We are going to our green node over the top. Let's tap on it and let's just write down 92 if you want. You can go with the same amount of degrees that we use before, that was 93, but also you can experiment a little bit and adjust it to your liking. Now let's just go to this plus minus. We will tap on it. We will have our -92 and we will go to the bottom part of our vertical line and we will create another line there. Let's just go and combine our lines. When you have them combined, let's just go tap on our R key one more time to deslect everything, and we will then go again to our lease and create another layer on top. We will go to our line that we have in the middle. We will create another vertical line. We will hold it in the end. We will adjust the angle if we need to, and we will go again to our arrow key. When we have this line go into our green notes and we will write down 84. Make sure that you are using this plus minus two. And when you have this line, let's just go and combine it with our line that we have on the top. When you have combined your lines, let's desalect everything by hitting our arrow key. Then we will go back to our list and we will combine these two layers together. Go into the top one, tap it on it, and select and merge down. Now let's just make a copy of this layer, swiping it from right to left, and choose and duplicate. When we have this layer on top, we are again going to our arrow key. And we will move these lines on the top of this line that we have as a vertical line. Adjust the thickness if you need to. When you are done, let's just go again to our arrow key to deselect everything. We will then go to our layers and we will combine these two layers number five together. We are tapping on the top one we are selecting, merged down again. We will go and create one more layer on the top. We are tapping on the plus icon. And let's just go and create another book on the top this time. Let's just go a little bit to the right from this line that we have in the middle. Let's just go firstly and create the line right on this line that we have in the middle. Adjust the thickness if you need to. Then let's just move this line toward the right. You can go with the equal distance that you have on your first book, or you can go and experiment a little bit and move it a little bit farther when you have it. Let's just go and adjust the thickness if you want to. Then we will just go tap on the screen to get away from our editing mode. When we have our line, you know what we need to do. We will go back to our layers. We will create one more layer on top. One more time we are going and creating a vertical line that is going through the middle part. Adjusting the angle if we need to. Then we will go again to our key on the top left to go to our little green node over the top. Let's write down 91 and then we'll use this two plus minus. When we have it, we will go to the bottom on this line. And we will just combine it with the line that we have on the vertical axis. When we have it, we will deslect everything. We will go again to our list. We will create one more li above. And we will do the same thing here, again creating the vertical line, holding it at the end, adjusting the angle if we need to. Then we'll go again to our Okey, go into the green node and we are typing down 86 plus minus. When we have it, we are combining it with the line that we have on the bottom. Now when we have these lines, let's just go and desalect everything. We will go again to our list and we will merge these two layers together. Go into the top layer, taping it, and select and merge down. Now we will make a copy of this layer. Let's just swipe it from right to left. We will choose duplicate. And then when we have this layer on top, we are going again to our arrow key. We are moving it to the top. And we are combining it with the line that we have on the vertical axis when you did it. Let's just go again to our arrow key. We will deslect everything. We will get back to our lise, we will combine these two layers together, then we are ready to adjust our books even more. Let me just go and make sure that our books are the size of this element that we have on our scheme. On the bottom it is just one third, let just go. And if you don't want to adjust your books as they are right now, let's just go and combine all of these layers together. We are putting one of our fingers on the top layer and one on the bottom one. Not the scheme but the layer two, we are just making a pinch movement when we have everything on one layer. Let's just go again to our error key. We are using uniform method. We will go and make these books a little bit bigger. We can go to the now that we have on the top, in the middle, we can hold our apple pencil there and just make it big in that way. For now, let's keep it that big when you have the result that you like, let's just tap on our error key one more time to deselect everything. Now let's just go and work onto our books so they will look like proper books. What we need to do, firstly, is to go to the bottom books that we have here. Let's just go over our left side of these books, we will elongate the line that we have on their left. Let's just go hold our apple pencil and create the similar line that we already have. Try to adjust the angle the same way as you have it. When you have elongated your line, let's just go over the left side. And we will create a little curve like that. You can go to the edge on this line that you have just created or to some place that you think will be suitable for your book. Let's just go and create a little line going in that way. If you want to make a very nice curve, you can always hold your apple pencil at the end. Then if you need to adjust it, you can go or the top to the editing mode and adjust it with this nodes. Generally what we need is something like that. When you have it, let's just go away from our editing mode by typing on the screen. Then we'll go to our eraser to and we will erase this line that we don't need. Now let's just get back to our brush and then we will go to the bottom part. Right to this line that we have on the bottom. We will step just a little bit from it and we will create another line that will be parallel to the line that we already have. Let's just go step a little bit from the line and we will create another line like that. Going to this line that we have on the right, that is vertical. Try to make these lines parallel to one another. If you need to adjust it, go to the edited mode and adjust it with the nodes. If you need to adjust the placement, just hold your apple pencil and find the place that you like. If you need to make sure that this line has the similar angle, you can move it to the line that you have on the bottom and you can adjust it from here. If you need to adjust the go to one of the nodes and adjust the angle, find the placement that you like. And when you are done, let's just tap on our screen to get away from our editing mode. Now we will need to do the same thing on the top. Again, we are stepping a little bit from our top part and we are creating the same line that we had on our bottom. Let's make it parallel to the line that we have on the top. Hold your line in the end. If you need to adjust it even more, go to the editing mode. Make sure that it is parallel to the line that you have on the top. Move it if you need to. Adjust it, if you need to. And then move it a little bit lower, so we will have a similar distance for our bottom part and to the top part. We are just now creating the spine element when we have it. Let's just go away from our editing mode now. Let's just go to the left where we have this curve and let's repeat it. We will just go and connect these two lines that we have just created with a curve that will be parallel to the curve that we already have onto our left. Let's just go and create this curve. Hold it at the end if you need to adjust and go to the editing mode. Now we have something that is looking like a book. Now let's just move onto our right part and let's do something similar here. Firstly, we will go and recreate these lines that will be parallel to the lines that we already have onto our bottom book. Again, we will need to connect them with the lines that we have on our left. Let's just go firstly over the top part. And let's create a line that will go through the whole shape of our book. Let's try to make it parallel to the line that we have on the top. Also, if you just need to go and elongate the line that you have on the top, you are welcome to go and do that. Just try to make it as big as you have it on the left. Now, when we have the two parallel lines, let's just go over the bottom. And let's do the same thing here. When we have these lines, let's just go over our left sides. Firstly, we will go and find a place where we want to end our little lines that are our spine elements. Let's just go over the top and we will create a line that will be vertical, straightly vertical. So we are creating just a little line like that. And then we will go to the bottom. And we will need to make a similar line there, put it on the same line. And when you are down, let's just grab our eraser two and we will erase everything that we don't need. Now when we have these little lines, let's just go between them and let's connect our lines with another curve. We will need to do something similar to what we had right here on our left. Let's just go and create a similar curve there. Let's just tap a little bit from the side and let's create another curve, it at the end. And you can adjust the placement of this element. If you need to adjust the curvature, you are welcome to go over the top to the editing mode and adjust it. From here, you can always take a look at your illustration from the distance to decide whether you like it or not, whether you want to adjust it or not. If you want, you can move this little sheep to the right or to the left. It's all up to you when you found the placement for this curve. Let's just go away from our editing mode. Now let's just go and work more on our bottom book. What We Need to Do is to go and create a few lines that will represent the pigs. What we need to do is to go inside to this area. We will create a few parallel lines to what we have on the top. And on the bottom, if you want, you can go and adjust the size of your brush. And then just go and create a few lines like that. Try to make them parallel to the lines that you already have. When you have these lines on the left, let's just do the same over our right. Let's just go and create a few of these parallel lines. When you have something like that, let's just go and add one detail. What we need to do is to increase the size of our brush. If you were changing it before, then we will go again to our list and we will create one more layer above. That way it will be easier for us to erase the parts that we don't need. What we need to do is to go over our right or over our left, and we will create a little bookmark. What we will do is go into some of these little lines that you have just created. And then we will go and create a little curve going in that way when you have it, we will go to the right and we will create the same line that will be repeating the line that we have just created. When you have these two parallel curves, we will go to the bottom and we will create a little V shape like that when we have it, we will go and adjust it if we need to. If our lines are a little bit too thick, we will grab our Aser too, and we will erase the parts that we don't need. If we want to adjust it in any other way, we are welcome to go and adjust it. Now when we have this little bookmark, let just go again to our lis and we will go to our previous layer where we have our books. We will grab our eraser tool one more time and we will go and erase this part that we don't need when we have it. We will just go again to the lis. We will go to our layer with our little bookmark. We will tap on it and we will choose Merge down. Now we have our little bookmark on our book. If you want, you can go and make this top part a little bit more prominent. When we have it, we are ready to move on to our top books the same way as before. We are starting by creating the thickness to the spine. Let's firstly go to this book that we have on our middle part. We will go to this line that we have in the middle and we will turn it into something that we have right here. We will create a curve. We will go and put this curve looking toward the right part. Let's just go to this line and we will create a curve going in that way. If you want, you can play around with the curvature on this element. It's all up to you. Go to the editing mode and adjust it from here. When you have the result that you like, let's just tap on our screen to get away from the editing mode. And then let us go grab our eraser two and we'll erase this line in the middle because we don't need it anymore. Now let us go and make the parallel lines to what we have on the top. And on the bottom again, you decide what kind of thickness you want for the spine elements. Just create the parallel lines and combine them with this curve that you have just created when you have it. If you have the lines that you don't need, go and erase them. Probably we don't need the lines right here. Let's just grab our eraser two and erase this little curves. Now let's just go to our left part and we will end up these little spine elements. Again, we are doing the same thing as we did right here on our right. We will just go find the place where we want to end our book. And we will create two lines that will be vertical. When you have the vertical lines, let's just grab our eraser to and erase the lines that we don't need. Now we will go right between these two thick lines and we will create another curve that will represent the pigs. Again, we are stepping a little bit from the edge and we are creating another curve like that. Combine it with the lines, adjust the curvature if you need to, by going to the editing mode, find the placement that you like. When you are done, let's just go over our right part and let's adjust it here. Let's first go and we will need to create the similar shape that we had before on our middle part. And on our left, we will connect these two lines that we have on our right with a similar curve. Let's just go closer to the edge that we have on a book on the bottom. Let's just go and create another curve the same way as before. You can hold your line at the end and adjust it by going to the editing mode. Just find what works for you. You can find a different placement for this element. You can go and push it a little bit toward the left or toward the right. Find what works for you. When you found the position that you like, let's just tap on our screen and we will go away from the editing mode. And now you can notice that we have a little gap between our books, Between our books on the bottom and this book that we have just created. Now let's just go to this little gap on our rights. And we will create another line that will end up the whole book that we have on our bottom. What we need to do is to go to this little corner that we have right here on our left. And we will create a line going in that direction. Let's just hold it at the end, and then we'll go to our editing mode. Let's just zoom out our canvas, and let's adjust the position of this line. And let's also adjust the alignment on this line. What we need to do is to go to our node that we have on the top. We will hold it and we will drag it a little bit toward the left. We will need to make an illusion that we have this book, not just the cover of it that is seen to us, but also the cover that is on the top. We will need to continue making this line and we will need to make sure that we have a full book when we have something like that. Let's just tap on the screen to get away from the editing mode. And let's just make this line a little bit more thick. When you have something like that, let's just go and continue creating our third book on the top again, let's firstly go over our left. And we will start by creating the thickness for these lines that we already have on the top. And on the bottom, we are stepping a little bit from these lines and we are creating the cover of our book. Let's just go and create parallel lines on the left, try to make the thickness even on the top and on the bottom. And when you have it on the left side, let's move on to the right. And let's do the same thing here. When you have the thickness lines, let's just go and find the end points of this book cover. We will firstly go over our left side and we will create the vertical lines on the top. And on the bottom, find where you want to finish up your book. Let's firstly go to this right part and we will find where we have the end of our second book. Let's just go and create this vertical lines a little bit further from our end point of this book. On the middle part, when we have this first line, let's just go over the top and let's create another vertical line. Then we'll grab our eraser too, and we'll erase all the lines that we don't need when we have something like that. Let's just go to both of our edges and let's create these curves that will end up our book and that will represent the pages. Let's just go and create these curves. One is looking at our left and one is looking at our right. Try to make the distance from the end of our book cover, even on both sides when you have something like that. Let's just go inside these parts where we have our pages and let's just go and add a few more lines that will represent these pages. Let's just go and do something similar to what we had on our book on the bottom. When we are done with these additional elements, let's just go and add a few more of them. For example, let's firstly go to our second book. We will go to our left part of it and we'll create another bookmark. Firstly, let's just go more toward the edge that we have on our left. We will go to one of these lines that we've made for our page representation. We will go and create a curve going down. In that way you can find a different placement for you if you want to. You can adjust the size of it, you can adjust the curvature of it. Just make a little hook on the top and just go down with a line like that. When you have the line that you like, let's just go and create a little element on the bottom. For example, let's just go and create a little crystal or some kind of a sparkle. We will go and create a rhombus shape, adjust the size to your liking. And when you are done, let's just go and erase the parts that we don't need. We will grab the eraser too, and we will go inside this little element that we have just created. And we will erase this lines on our book when we have something like that. Let's just go inside this little shape and let's add additional elements here. For example, let's just go to the sides firstly. And we will create the lines going in that way. When we have them, we will go to the top and we will create a line going down. If you want to try a different design, you are welcome to go and do that when we have these little elements on our left. Let's just go to the book that we have in the middle. We will go to the cover, to the spine of it. And we will add some details here too. For example, let's just go firstly over our right and we will create another curve. Here on our right part, we are just recreating what we have for our end part on the book. You can just go and create a parallel curve if you need to adjust it, go to the mode and tweak the nodes when you have something like that. Let's just add some thickness to this element. Later on, we can color it differently. Let's just go and create a similar curve, stepping a little bit toward the left side. Now let's just go to the middle part on this book. Again, we will create another curve that will be similar to the curve that we have in the middle. Just create apparel curve. If you need to adjust it, go to the editing mode and adjust the curvature. If you want to go and add some additional elements, you are welcome to go and do that. You can go with some magical elements, maybe some stars or maybe some sparkles or whatever you want. Let me just go and add a few of these elements to our spine when we have something like that. Let's just take a look at our books from the distance and decide whether we need to adjust some parts. For example, we can go and make this line on the bottom book a little bit more prominent. Also, we can just go to the middle parts that we have on our book, on the bottom and on the top, this little elements. And we can move it a little bit more toward the center. For example, let's just go to the top book. And we will move this line just a little bit toward the center. We will grab our eraser too, and we will erase the previous line. Also, you can just go and make this line a little bit fuzzy. You can add some texture to some texture of the papers or something like that if you don't want. You can just go and create the simple line like that when you have it on the top. Let's just go to the bottom and do the same thing here. We are going to this line that we have right here. From this line, we are moving a little bit toward the center and we will create another line there. Let's just go and create another vertical line. You can see that we are moving only our pages. We are not going to the parts where we have our cover. We are just going to the middle part, creating this line. And then we will grab our eraser tool and we will erase this first line that we had before. Again, if you want to add some texture to this line, if you want to add maybe some fuzzy elements or maybe some paper elements, you are welcome to go and do that. Also, if you want to add more details to your books, you are welcome to go and do that. For example, let's just go to this book that we have on the top. We'll go to the left side and we will go to one of these lines that we have, four R pages, and we will create another additional element this time, Let's go more close to our middle part and we'll create a simple shape over triangle like that. When you have it, we will go to the top and we will make this line that we have four R pages a little bit more prominent. When we have something like that, we are done with our books. Let's move on to the next part where we are going to be aiding our cat. 4. Cat Sketch: Let's start working on to our cat from some tiny preparations. Firstly, we will go to our layers and we will go and rename our layer number two as books. Let's just tap on it and let's choose rename from the list. When we renamed our layer, let's just go and adjust it a little bit. We will squeeshe our books just a little bit so they are not that elongated. And we also will add some thickness to them. To do so, we will need to select the layer firstly. And when we did it, we will go to our arrow key on the top left. On the bottom, we will use free form methods. When it's on, we will go to one of the nodes that we have on the side to the middle one, and we will drag it more toward the center. Find what works for you. You can make them very tiny or you can make them very elongated. It's all up to you. Find something that is looking good for you. When you're done, we will go to the top node that we have in the middle and we will drag it a little bit up, add some thickness here too. When you are done, we will need to put our books right to the middle of our canvas. If we go right now with our apple pencil, if we hold it and if we just drag it, we will need to find this orange line in the middle part. When you find this orange line, make sure that snapping is on. If it's off, you won't see this line in the middle. Find this orange line. And when you are done in your books, let's just go and deslect everything by hitting our arrow key. One more time. Now we are ready to go and start working on our cats. Firstly, we are going back to our lies and we will need to create one more layer above our lie with the books. Let's just stop on the plus icon and let's rename this layer as Cat. We will start making our cat again from some tiny preparations. We will need to start by creating a little scheme that will help us to build up the whole cat. Firstly, let's just go to this middle part where we have Eric Tingle. We will need to find a center of this piece. Also, you can notice that our books are a little bit lower than we have our line of the rectangle. We can use this space to, to put our cat here. Let's just go and find the middle part of this whole space. Let's just go to this line that we have in the middle. And you don't need to be very precise, let's just go and make a little markdown somewhere in the middle of this whole area. When we have it, we will need to go and create two lines that will be diagonal. They later on will be turned into the body of our cat. The bottom part of this element will be our bottom part of the cat, so our body and the top one will be a heat. Firstly, let's just work on the bottom. Let's just go to this little markdown that we have just created. And firstly, we will go over our left side. We will need to go and find an approximate center of this whole shape. Let's just go and make a little mark down here too. When you have it, we will go to the bottom with a diagonal line like that. As always, you can hold your apple pencil at the end of the line and adjust the angle on this line. Or if you need to adjust it even more, you can go over the top to the editing mode and move this line or adjust the angle from here at the end. We will need to have something like that when you have it. We will need to go away from our editing mode. Let's just tap on our screen, Then we will go over our right side and we will do the same thing here. Let's firstly go to the right part, and this time the distance between this new line that we are going to create and the line that we have in the middle should be a little bit smaller. This thing should be a little bit smaller than we have it on our left. Let's just make a little mark down. Let's make sure that it is a little bit smaller. And we will go again with the line that will be diagonal, but this time it will be mirroring our line that we have on our left. Let's create something like that. Try to make the angle similar to what you have on your left. When we are done, let's just go to the top and we will create a ship for our head. We will go to this middle point that we have marked down and we will start by creating a ship of the Alps. Let's just go and with one line, create the ship, hold it at the end, and we will snap it to a better ship. Now let's just go to the engine mode and let's adjust the position of this element and also its whole ship. What we need to figure out here is that our ship on the left will be bigger than our ship on the right. Our sides of this element won't be equal. We will need to go firstly and open this shape just a little bit. So we are going to one of the nodes, either to the top one or to the bottom one. And we are opening the shape. And then we will go and move this whole shape more toward the left. In the end, we will need to have something like that. It is going a little bit beyond the frame of our rectangle and also our part of this element on the left is bigger than our part on the right. This line that is going through the middle part of our canvas is not going through the middle part of the shape. When you have the result like that, let's just tap on our screen to get away from the editing mode. And now we can just go and create another lid to turn these shapes, to turn this scheme into the cat. Firstly, let's just go to our lids. We will tap on our plus icon. And onto this layer we will start recreating these elements and adjusting that. Firstly, let's just go to the layer with the cat. We will go to our end icon, and we will adjust the opacity so it is not that bright when you found the amount of opacity that works for you. Let's just get back to this new layer and let's just start creating the shapes of our cat. Firstly, let's just go to this part that we have on the top. And we will go firstly over our left side. And we will make this side, not that rounded. We will firstly go somewhere right here. You can make a little markdown from this mark down. We will go and squish the shape a little bit by creating another curve that is not that rounded. When you have something like that, you can grab an eraser tool and erase the thickness on this line that you don't. Then let just go and continue creating the line. Going through the whole shape that we have for this ellipse. Let's just go and recreate the shape. If you need to adjust some parts, maybe erase some thickness on the lines, you are welcome to go and grab an eraser to and erase these little parts that you don't need. Now when we have the shape for our head, let's just go and work onto the body. What we need to do, firstly, is to go to this line that we have on our left, and we will just recreate it when we have it on the bottom. We will create a little pole. Let's just go and create a curve in that way. When we have it, we will need to step a little bit toward the center. We will need to make a similar line to what we have on our left. We are just recreating the line, but stepping a little bit toward the center. Try to make the angle similar to what you have on your left. And when you have it, let's just go and create another poll. This time, let's just go a little bit beyond the frames of our book. Let's just go and create the pull in this way. When we have it, we will move toward our right part and we will start turning this line that we have on our right into the curve. Let's just go to this potential intersection that we have between our heads and this line. We will go a little bit toward the center and we will start creating the curve. In that way, you can play around with the curve, you can make it very round it, you can adjust the curature to your liking. In the end, we will need to have something like that. When you have this curve, let's just go and create the back leg. What we need to do is to go to this line that we have just created. We will go a little bit lower than the center of this element. You can just go and make a little markdown right here. We will go a little bit lower and we will go more toward the left. Let's just step a little bit from this line and we will make a little markdown right here. When you have this line, let's just go and create the curve going in that way. As always, you can play around with the curvature on this element. When you have this big curve like that, we will go to the bottom and we will create a pole. You can add just a little bump like that, or if you want, you can go and add a few more of them. Now take a look at this element from the distance and decide whether you want to adjust it in any way. For example, we can go and adjust this curve that we have on the top and make it a little bit more round It always take a look at your illustration from the distance. That way you will know whether you want to adjust some parts or not if they are looking all right, or if you want to make the adjustments. If you need to erase some parts, let's just grab eraser two and erase the parts that we don't need. Now when you have this line, let's just go and create a little til. We will go to our right part first, to the end of this curve that we have on the right. And we will again, step a little bit from it toward the center. Let's just make a little markdown right here. When we have this mark down, we will go to the books and we will create a guiding line that later on we will turn into the til, let's just go and create a curve in that way. As always, if you want, you can go and play around with the curvature on this element. With the position on this element, it's all up to you. All that we need to do is to create a guiding line. And when we have this guiding line, let's just go to the sides from it and we will add the thickness and the whole tail. Firstly, we are going to our left part and we are just stepping a little bit from the edge of this curve that we have on the right, and we are starting to recreate the shape of this guiding line. In the end, we will start creating the rounded shape that will represent the end of the tail. Now when we have something like that, let's just go over our left side from this guiding line. And let's create another curve. Play around with this element. Find what works for you if you want to adjust the placement of it when you already have it. We can do the following. We can go to our ribbon icon over the top plats. We will go and choose free hand methods. When it is selected, we will go over this element that we want to select. We will select only this element. When it is selected, we will go to our arrow key. And from here we can adjust our elements, use free form method, uniform method, adjust it to your liking. If you want to rotate it, go to this node on the top which is green. Hold your apple pantel there and move it in a circular direction. Find the placement for the tail that you like. And when you're Adn, let just go and tap on our ribbon icon to deselect everything. Now let's just go and finish up the whole pool that we have as the back leg. So let's just go to this line that we have on the left and we will just connect it with the tail. Make a nice connection on the left and then make a smooth connection on the right. If you need to erase some parts that you don't need, for example, this guiding line, you are welcome to grab and erase or two, and erase the parts that you don't need. Now let's just take a look at our scheme and our cat from the distance and decide whether we want to adjust some parts even more. If you want to adjust some parts, we can use one option that procreate has, and this option is called liquefy. Liquefy, we can go to the lines that we already have and we can push them, we can pull them. We can find different placement for them. Very useful tool when we have our lines like that. Let's just go to the Magic one tool or the top plat and into this adjustments list, we will go to Liquefy on the bottom, we will choose the option push if you want, you can go and play rounds with size pressure. Any other options here? All that we need to do right here is to go to the places that we want to adjust and adjust them. For example, if we would like to go and make this back pour a little bit more rounds it, we use this push option. Go to the line where we want to adjust it, hold our apple pencil there and push it. Let's just spend some time here and let's adjust the parts that we want to adjust. You can play with the tail, with this back leg, with the paws that you have in front, even with the heat. Let's just go and spend some time here and create the shapes that we like. When you are done playing with this tool, let's just go and tap on our magic one to one more time. Let's take a look at our whole illustration from the distance and decide whether we want to adjust some parts or not. If you want, you just need to go to the eraser to or to your brush and adjust these parts. Also, we can just go and start adding some additional elements. For example, let's just go right between our hat parts and our pause. Let's just turn the straight lines into some fur elements. We won't just go and create the lines in that way. You can play runs with the fuzziness of these elements. You can just create a few wavy lines. And to make sure that you are creating some fur effects, let's just go and create something in that way. When you have added some jacket lines, let's just go grab our eraser tool and erase the lines that we don't need. Take a look at your illustration from the distance. Decide whether you want to adjust some parts or not. If you need to adjust some parts, go and adjust them. If you want to add some additional elements again, you are welcome to go and add them. For example, we can go to the parts that we have in front and we can add a few lines in that way. Also, if you want to add the same line on our leg on the back, you're welcome to go and add it here too. Now when we have something like that, let's just go and work on our facial features. We will go to the middle part. We will start by creating an eye here. Let's just go to the line that we have in the middle that is vertical, and we will find the center of the shape of the elipse that we have for our heat. Let's just go and make a little mark down. When we have this mark down, we will go a little bit higher from it. And we will start by creating a shape of the eye. Our shape on the eye will be just as simple, Ellpse. Firstly, let's just go and create it in that way. You can play with the size and with the position of this element. You can squish it a little bit, or you can make it very elongated. It's all up to you when you have the shape that you like. Let's just go and adjust it a little bit. Firstly, we will go to the top of the shape, to the intersection with this line that we have in the middle. And we will turn this shape into something very triangular. But this triangle should be very soft. Let's just go and create it in that way. At the right part, we will cut the top of our ellipse and we will just finish up the line by creating a very soft triangle. When you have the shape, let's just grab our eraser tool and erase the parts that we don't need when we have something like that. Let's just go inside the shape of the ellipse that we have in the eye and we will just shade it. If you think that you want to work onto the shape, you are welcome to go and. It also not to forget later on, let's just go to the bottom part of this ras that we have just shaded. Let's just make a little thing like that. We will grab our As or two, we will go to the bottom and we will create a little triangular shape like that. Work on the shape, if you want, you can make it very rounded. If you want, you can go and play with it and create a triangular shape. When you have something like that, just step toward our left part. We will go and find the line that we have for our second pore from this little intersection right here. We will go up with a little line like that. That will be our middle part. Also, we will just need to position our elements making sure that our head is not flat but a little bit rounded. We will need to make this line that we have just created, not a straight line but a curve. Let's go and create something like that. When we have this line, let's just go over our left side and let's create another eye here. We will go a little bit to the left. We will need to make the distance between our eye that we have on the right and on the left not equal. Again, because we are working in a little bit of a perspective. Let's make sure that this part is not equal to this part. We will need to make this part a little bit smaller on the left. Let us go and find the place where we want to put our second and let's just start creating it. What we need to start with is a little shape of the elipse. Again, let's just go and create the ellipse in that way. This time it will be a little bit less open. Make sure that the size of the element is equal to what we have on our right, but just a little bit smaller. When you have something like that, let's just go and finish up the whole. To finish up the whole I, we will firstly go over the bottom part and we will continue creating the line that we have on the bottom. When you have something like that, we will go over the top and we will need to recreate the shape like here. We will need to create some kind of a triangular shape. Let's firstly go over our left. And we will create a curve going in that way. And we will go higher with this line to create a triangular shape. Let's cut the top part of our allpse the same way as we did with our eye on the right. And we will create this very soft triangular shape when you have it. Let just go and shade this part with our allopse the same way as before. Let's just go to the bottom part and let's create this little triangular shape on the bottom. Now let just go and get tread of these lines that we don't need. We will need to make sure that we like the ice that we have here. If we don't like them, we will go to our adjustments. We will go to the liquefy and we will work on them again. Let's just go to the eye that we have on our left and let's make it just a little bit bigger. Remember that it should be triangular over the top part and rounded on the bottom work on the ship. And find what works for you if you want to play around with the ship on the right. You're welcome to go and do that too. In the end, we will need to have something like that. When you are already adjusting your eyes. Let's just tap on our magic one to let go and manually adjust our eyes a little bit more. Firstly, let's just go over this eye that we have on our left and we will continue creating this line that we have on our right part. And we will just elongate it to create a little curve going up in that way. If you need to adjust some lines even more, you are again welcome to go and do that. When we are done with the eye on our left, let's move on to our right and let's do the same thing here. We are going again to our right part and we are elongating this line that we have on the top. If you want to play around with some other line, you are welcome to go and do that when you are ready with the ice element. Let's just go to the middle part, and let's create a little nose and a little mouth. Firstly, we will go to this line that we have in the middle. And we will go and make it a little bit less bright. We will grab our eraser to and we will just erase it like that. When we have it in that way we will go right to this line and we will go more toward the bottom part of the ice. Let's just go and make a little markdown in that way when we have it, we will just go and turn this little line into the nose. We're just creating a very small triangle when we have it. Let's just go underneath this little nose element. And let's create to lines that will represent the mouth. We will go over the left side firstly, and we will create a line in that way. When we have it, we will go to the right and we will create a little bit bigger line when we have it. Let's just grab our eraser two and let's erase this line that we don't need that is going through the middle part of our heat. Now let's just take a look at our illustration from the distance and decide whether we want to adjust some parts. If you want to play around with your elements, you are welcome to go and do that. Now when you're satisfied with everything here, let's just go and add some whiskers. We will firstly go over our right part. We will go somewhere to the area where we have our eye. We will stop a little bit toward the right part. From here we will go and create a few lines. Going in that way you can play around with the amount of these lines, with the curvature, with everything that you want to play around with. When you are ready with the right part, let's just do the same over our left side. This time these whiskers will be a little bit smaller. Now let's just go to this line that we have on the bottom of the head of our cat. And let's work on it first. We'll grab our eraser tool and we will start erasing this line completely when we did it. Let's just go to the side that we have on our right. We will elongate this line just a little bit. Then we will again go to this line that we have on our scheme and we will start adding some fur elements. Let's just go and create a few lines. In that way also, we will just do the same thing with our sides of the hat. Let's just go to the lines and let's just add some fur effects. When you have the effect that you like, grab an eraser tool and erase the lines that you don't need when you have it. One more time, let's just take a look at our illustration from the distance and decide whether we want to adjust some parts. If you want to adjust the placement of your facial features, we will go to our ribbon icon freehand method. And we will select our facial features completely. Then when they are selected, we will go to our Okey and we will adjust them from here. For example, to make your cat a little bit cutter, you can go and put these facial features a little bit toward the bottom part. Let's just go and drag them down. If you want to rotate them, you are welcome to go to the green node over the top and adjust the rotation of these elements. The same way if you want to move the elements a little bit more toward the right part or toward the left side, You are welcome to go and do that. Just play around with the facial features elements and find what works for you. If you want to make them bigger, go to one of the nodes and adjust your elements if you want to adjust the elements separately. Firstly, just go to the ribbon icon to deselect what you have right here. And then select the element that you want to adjust. For example, if you would like to adjust the nose and the mouth elements, go to the Tribon icon. Select only them, and then go to the arrokey and adjust them. Always take a look at your illustration from the distance to decide whether you like it or not. When you're satisfied with the facial features, let's just go over the top part. And we will add just the bottom part of the ears, because on the top we will have a head and we don't need to create the whole ears here. Firstly, let's just go over our left part. We will go to the top part of our eye. From here we will just go to the side and start creating the lines. Going in that way, again, we are creating some furry lines. Let's just go with wavy shape when we have it on our left. Let's move on to our right part, and let's start making the ear from here. What we need to do is to go over our right part again. We will go closer to the eye that we have here. We will need to position our ears somewhere to the similar place to what we have on our left. We can just go and create a curve going through the whole shape of our cat. In that way, if we need to adjust it, we will go to the editing mode and we will adjust it in accordance with the direction of the whole element that we have for our heat. When we have something like that, let's just go to the intersection that we have right here. From this intersection, we will go up with the shape for the ear. What we need to do firstly is to go and create a guiding line like that. Just go a little bit above this little intersection. Then from here, let's just go and create an element. In that way, we are creating a peculiar line like that if you need to erase some parts, go and erase that. And also, let's just go over our right part on this left ear. And let's add additional elements here too. Firstly, we are stepping just a little bit above this additional line that we have in a center from this part, we will just go and create a little bump like that, and then we'll go higher with a curve. In that way, we are recreating the line that we have on the right. And maybe we are adjusting it a little bit. Now when we have something like that, we are ready to move on to our next part, where we are going to be adding the head and additional elements. 5. Hat & Miscellaneous Elements Sketch: Let's take this part first that go into our layers and we will clean everything up. Here. We have the layer with the cat scheme which is renamed as Cat. Let's just go and make everything properly. We will rename this layer as Cat scheme. Let's just go to this layer. We will tap on it and we will choose rename. Actually we don't need this layer anymore, so we can just go and hide it. Let's just go to the lit checkmark near the icon and on our layer with cat scheme, and we will tap on it. After that, we will go to our layer that we have for our actual cat sketch, and we'll rename it as sketch. So let's just tap on it and let's choose rename. Now if you're taking a look at your illustration, and if you want to adjust some parts on your cat, keep it as it is for now. Later on we will get back to it and we will adjust it. Now let's just go and continue making our sketch. And we will continue by creating a new layer that we will be using for creating our hat. Our hat will contain a few parts. If you don't want to rename this lier just now, you are welcome to keep it as it is because probably we will be creating a few lis and then we'll merge them together and we can properly rename it after all. Now when we have this new layer, let's just get back to our canvas and let's start measuring up where we want to put our hat. Firstly, let's just take a look at our rectangle that we have in the middle of our scheme. And let's just go to the parts on the sides that are protruding and we will find the center of the. Let's just go to this part firstly, and we will find an approximate center of it. We will just go and make a little mark down when you have it on the first side, move on to the opposite side and do the same thing here. These little marks down will represent the ends of our bottom part of the hat. Let's just go first to one of the little marks down that we have just created. And we will probably go to the left side because it will be easier for us to build up the whole curve. Let's just go there. And we will go and create a curve going to the opposite side where we have our little marked down. What we need to do is to create something like that. When we have the curve like that, if you want to adjust it in any way, you are welcome to go to the Magic one tool, liquefy and adjust it. From here, you can make a smoother line, or if you want, you can create bigger dance. It's up to you how you create this line that we have on the bottom. If you want to play around with it, you are welcome to go and play around with it. For example, let's end up with something like that. When you are satisfied with your curve, when you are at the liquefy mode, let's just go and tap on our magic, an Tol one more time to deselect everything. Now let's continue building up this bottom part of our hat. Firstly, we will go to our right part and we will need to create another side of our heat. We will need to make the hat, not just a shape that we have in front, but also that we have on the back. Let's just go to this part. We will go to this little intersection right here. From this intersection, we will need to create another curve that will go to our cat. We will need to create something in that way. You can play around with the openness of the shape. And also you can play around with this intersection that we have right here on the site. You can make it very around it, or if you want, you can make a peak shape. It's up to you, play around with the shape and create something like that. As always, take a look at your illustration from the distance and decide whether you want to adjust the shape or not. If you want, you can go to the spirit on the right. And you can move this line that we have right here near our ear, a little bit lower. If you don't want to, you are welcome to keep it as it is now when we have something in that way, let's just go above and we will create another curve on the left. But this time we will need to go to the top part and we will need to create a smaller curve there. Let's just go and continue this line going up. In that way we are creating something similar to what we have on the opposite side, but this time this little shape is a little bit more closed when we have it. Let's just go over the top and we will start creating a little element that will be on the bottom of our top part of the head. What we need to do is to continue creating this line that we have just created. But we will need to continue creating it the same way that we have our line right here. We will need to create something similar to what we have inside this little line. Let's just go and create a parallel line going in that direction. When you have something like that, we are ready to create the top part of our hat. What we need to do is to create a little curve on the right that will be a similar curve that we have right here. Let's just go and continue creating this line that we have just created. And we will combine it with the line that we have on the right. Let's just go and create a curve in that way. You can see we are closing our shape right here on the right. And again, you can play around with this connection. If you want, you can add some thickness to it, for example. Not just connect it with the curve, but also create a little shape right here, a little bump. And then connect it with the actual curve that you have on the top. Play around if you want to add some additional elements, you are always welcome to add this little element when you have the shape in that way. Let's just go over this line that we have just created on the top. We will start creating another line, that later on we will turn into some belt parts. What we need to do is to go and add some thickness. Firstly, to this line that we have on the top, we can just go and create a parallel line going in that way. You can play around with the thickness, you can play around with the position of this element if you want to. When you have it, we will go over our right part firstly, and we will create a little bump in that way, we are connecting it with our actual shape of the hat. When we have it on the right, we will do the same on the left. Let's just go and create another little curve on our left side. When we have it, we will go and create another element as we are creating a belt. It will have some loose and let's just go and create this loose end. We will firstly go over our right part. Let's just find this middle part where we have our line. You can make a little mark down from this little mark down. Let's just go down with our loose end. You can create a curve going in that way, or if you want to play around with it, you are welcome to go and play around with it. Find what works for you. For example, let's just end up with a little curve like that. And then we will go and add some thickness to it. If you want, you can go to this little intersection on our left and you can add this curve to this intersection so you don't have it. You will have a protruding loose end of the belt play around with your ship and find what works for you. When you have the curve that you like for the loose end, let me just go and add some thickness. We are just going to the bottom part and we are creating a parallel line there. Also, try to create the thickness similar to what you have on the top of this little belt when you have it, let's just connect it with our actual shape that we have on our rights. We will have something in that way if you want to play around with the ship that you have on your left. So for example, you can play around with the ship of the loose end. You can go and create some peculiar shape here, for example. You can end your little ship in that way, play around with it. And when you are done, let's just go and work onto this intersection that we have on the middle part, for example, let's just go and create a little belt holder in a shape of a crescent. Let's just go there and we will create our first shape in that way. We are just going to this part where we have our little mark down. We are going a little bit above it and we are starting to create the shape of the crescent. If you want to play around and create some different shape, you are welcome to go and do that. When you have the shape, let's just go and add a thickness to it and let's close up the whole shape of our crescent. We are going to the sides and we are creating another curve in that way. Now when we have it, let's just grab an ser tool and we will erase all the lines that we don't need. As always, take a look at your illustration from the distance and decide whether you want to adjust some parts. For example, I would like to go to the left side where we have this belt and I would like to redo it completely. I will just grab an sort tool and erase this little part and I will go and create it in that way. The protruding parts on our left side will be a little bit more prominent. Let's connect it nicely together with the whole shape of the belt that we have on our right. You can go and work onto this curve when you are done. Let's just go to the top and let's start creating the top part of the heat. Firstly, let's just go and create a line that will help us to find a middle part of our heat. We will go to this middle line that we have for our middle part of the canvas. And we will step a little bit toward the left side. We are mostly taking a look at our cat, and you can see that it is a little bit in the perspective we will need to make sure that we are creating our cat sitting on its heat. Not just weirdly looking, but again, in a perspective, let's just make a little mark down. Going a little bit from our center line toward the left. From this little mark down, we will go up with the curve in that way. As always, you can play around with this curve. You can make it bigger, You can make it more curvier. You can play with the size and the position on this element, with the direction on this line. It's all up to you when you have this little curve. Let's just go firstly over our left side and we will start creating a parallel line to what we have right here on the scheme. But as we are creating not a single straight line, we are creating a curve. We will need to create a little round a shape. What we need to do is to start by taking a look at this line that we have on our scheme. Create a curve instead of the straight line. Let's just create something in that way. You can see it is almost parallel to this line that we have on our scheme, but it is a little bit rounded when you have something like that. Let's just go to our right part. Let's start building up our shape from here to firstly, we will go and take a look at this line that we have just created. And we will find some kind of a middle part of it on the opposite side. Let's just go and make a little mark down. Let's just go a little bit lower from this middle part. When we have it, we will go to the edge that we have on our belt. And from it we will go up with a straight line like that. When you have it, we will go then a little bit toward the right. So we are creating a little fault, let's just create it in that way. When we have this little fault, we will need to create an actual fault that will go in opposite direction. What we need to do is to go to the opposite side and create a little curve in that way. As always, you can play around with the position of this element. You can play around with the size of it, with the direction of it, with everything that you want to play around with when you have it. Let's just go to the top. To this line that we have on our left. From the top part, we will go to the right and we will start creating a little triangular sheep. What we need to do is something in that way. When you have this first line on the top, we will need to connect it with this little bump that we have on our bottom right, where we have this little bump. We will need to add another line that will be combining with the first line that we have on the top and creating some kind of a triangular shape. What we need to do is something like that when we have it in that way. Let's just go to the end of the line that we have on the right and we will go to the top with a line like that. When you have it, we will continue creating a triangular shape again, and we will combine it with the line that we have on the top. Now take a look at your hat and decide whether you want to adjust it in any way. For example, let me just go and put the top part a little bit more toward the bottom. What we need to do is to go to our S ribbon icon free hand method and we will select this part on the top. Just select the whole part and when you have it, let's just go to our arrow key on the top left uniform method. And we can just go to the snow that we have on the top which is our green node and we can rotate it a little bit. Let's connect it with our shape, that is our general shape on the hat. And let's adjust it in other way if we want to. When you're done rotating it, let's just go and deslate everything by hitting our ribbon icon. If you want to continue adjusting it, you are welcome to go to the magic one to liquefy. Let's just go and play around with our shape just little bit and find what works for us right now. Play with a general shape and find what works for you. If you want to work on the bottom part, you are welcome to go and adjust it in any way. If you want to work on the top part again, you're welcome to go and find what works for you. Let's just use our push option and let's spend some time here and create something that we will like. And when you're satisfied with your ship, let's just go and tap on our magic one tool one more time to deselect everything. Let's just go and add some details to our hat. Firstly, let's just get back to our brush and we will go to this belt element. Let's just go and add some little lines that will represent some additional elements on our belt. For example, let's just add this little part here and maybe one more on the opposite side. Let's just go to this place on our top. And we can just go a little bit protruding and create a little ship in that way. If you want, you can grab an eraser tool and erase all the lines that you don't need. If you want to manually adjust some parts again, you are welcome to go and do that. Now, let just go to the bottom part of our heat. We will step a little bit from this line that we have right here on the bottom and we will create some stitches. Let's just go and create the lines going in that way you can play around with the amount on these elements. You are welcome to play around with the shapes. Maybe you want to add some dots. You are welcome to go and add them. Let's just go through the whole shape and let's add some additional elements when you have it. Let's just go over the top part. And let's add some elements here too. For example, let's just go to the intersection that we have between our top part on the hats and the belt element right here. We will just go and add a little leaf here. Let's just go and create a shape going in that way, you are welcome to play around with the whole shape. You are welcome to go and maybe add a different shape of the leaf. Or if you want to add any other different shape, you are welcome to go and add it here. Let's just play around with it and let just find what works for us when you have it. Let's just go to the tip of our heat. And let's add some additional elements there. For example, let's just go to the space that we have right here. Here we will put some hanging elements on the tip of our heat, for example. Let's just go to the middle part of this hanging part. We will add a little line going in that way we are going closer to our head. And when we have it, we will just go and add a little star here very easily. Start creating a little star. Or if you want to create any other shape, you are welcome to go and do that for the star. You can just go and start creating it in that way. And then you can just go and erase the parts that you don't need. Also, you can just go and start creating it just with the plan, lines like that. And in the end, hold your Apple pencil. Then you can just go to the editing mode and adjust your star from here, adjust your star to your liking. And when you're satisfied with it, let's just move it a little bit to the blank space. In that way it will be easier for us to rotate it. When you're satisfied with the shape of your star, let's just tap on our screen if we are in the editing mode. And then we will go to our S ribbon icon freehand method. We will select our star, and then we'll go to our Er key to rotate it in that way we will create a little bit more of a peculiar look if you want to adjust it from here. You are welcome to go and do that. For example, you can go to the free form method and you can make this star a little bit less fat. If you want to rotate it, go to the green mode over the top and find the rotation that you like when you found it. Let's just put it to our little line that we have on the top. Take a look at your illustration from the distance and decide whether you want to adjust it more or keep it as it is right now when you found what you like. Let's just go and desalect everything by heating to our S ribbon icon. One more time when we have our first star, let's just go more close to our tip and let's create a little broom here. Again, we're going to the tip and we will start by creating a little line going down. Let's just add some thickness to this line. And we will create another line on the opposite side. Let's create it more in a triangular way. And when you have it, let's just go to the bottom part of it and we will create a little element of a circle or an ellipse when you have it. We will then go to the bottom part and we will create a shape in that way. If you want to play around with these elements, make it bigger or smaller. You are welcome to go again to the rip on icon. Or if you want, you can go strictly to the liquefied tool and adjust it from here. Spend some time here in the liquefied mode and adjust this little element to your liking. And when you're satisfied with it, let's just go away from this mode and let's add some little lines to this bottom part of this broom. What we need to do is to create just a few lines in that way. If you want to add some additional elements to this broom again, you are welcome to go and do that. If you want to go and add more elements again, you're welcome to go and do that. Now let's just go to the body of our heat that we have on the top and let's just add a few sparkles or maybe some stars there randomly. Let's just go and add three of these elements. Play with the size of these elements and with their position. If you want to go and maybe add some little dots, you are welcome to go and do that. Try not to overdo everything. Now let's just take a look at our illustration from the distance and decide whether we want to adjust something. As we have our head on a separate layer, it will be easier for us to adjust the placement ovid, or maybe a size ovid for example. If you want to maybe move your little head toward the left side more or if you want to find a different placement for it or maybe rotate it a little bit. You are welcome to go to the error key on the top left and adjust it from here. Play around with the tool. And when you're satisfied, let's just go and start creating some additional elements. Now let's just go to our layers and we will create one more layer. But firstly, we can go to this layer with the head and we can rename it. When we did it, let's just tap on our plus icon to create one more layer. And we will firstly go over our right part. And let's create a few more additional elements there to complete our whole composition. Firstly, let's just go to this intersection that we have between the cats and our books. Let's just go and create one more book here. Firstly, let's just go and create a parallel line to what we have on our book on the top. Let just go and very boldly create something in that way. Remember that you can always hold your line in the end to adjust the angle when you have something like that. Let's just go to the right and we will complete our book by creating a curve in that way, if you feel that maybe you need to adjust it, maybe move it, maybe rotated a little bit. You are welcome to go to the arrow key and adjust it from here when you're satisfied with this little element. Let's deslect everything by hitting our arrow key. Then we will grab and erase our tool, and we will erase the lines that we don't need. If we have that, then let just go and add more additional elements to this little cover of the book, for example. Let's just go and create a few more lines like that and if you want to add some beautifications. Your own. You are welcome to go and add them. When you did it, let's just go and add a few more additional elements. For example, let's just go and add a little candle right near our cat. What we need to do is to go and firstly create a little line going in that way. And then we'll go closer to our cat, and we will create another parallel line here. When you have it, we will need to create a little melting part that will be going to our book. Let's just go to this line that we have on our book. Firstly, we'll go and erase it, because we don't need it. Then we will go and create a melting part. In that way, you can play around with these elements, but make sure looking the way that it is going to the book. When you have this little part, let's just go to the top. And let's create another melting part here too. Again, we are going a little bit above the lines that we have on the side and we will start by creating our melting parts. When you have something like that, let's just go over the top and we will create a little curve in that way. If you want, you can go to the back part and create another curve to close the shape. When you have something like that, let's just go over the top of it and let's create a little flame here for the flame. We are creating a little line in that way. Then we are closing the shape by creating a similar line on the opposite side. So play around with the flame elements, make it bigger or smaller. If you don't want to edit, you are welcome not to find what works for you. When you are done, let just grab an eraser to and we will erase this little lines that we don't need. If you think that maybe you want to adjust some parts, go and adjust them. Always take a look at your illustration from the distance. When you're done with this candle, let's just go a little bit closer to the edge of our book. And let's add a little apple here for the apple. Let's just go and create a shape. In that way, we will need to start by creating a shape of the circle. Let's just go and create it just with one line, the same way as we did before. Hold your line in the end and snap it to a perfectly round circle. If you are snapping it to Ali, don't lift up your apple pencil and hold one of your fingers on the screen, and you will see that you are creating a perfectly round circle. Now when we have the shape, let's just go over our editing mode and let's position it a little bit differently. You can put it closer to the candle or closer to the edge of the book. You can adjust the size of the elements. Find what works for you. Just create the shape of the circle when you have it. Let's just go away from our editing mode and let's adjust our apple just a little bit. Firstly, we'll go to the bottom part. And we will decrease the size of our brush and we will make the shape a little bit different. What we need to do is to cut the parts that we have on the bottom by going a little bit closer to the middle part of our apple. What we need is some very rounded drop shape. When you have it, we will go to the bottom and we will create a few bumps like that. If you want to erase the lines that you don't need, you are welcome to go and grab an eraser tool and do that when we have it. Let's just go over the top part. We will step a little bit from the line that we have on the top and we will create a little curve like that when we have it, we will go to the middle part of this element that we have just created from it. We will go and create a little line going up. You can play runs with the direction of the element with the size of it, with everything that you want to play around with when you have this little stem. Let's just go and add a little leaf again. You can do something similar to what you had right here on the top of the head, or you can play around with the shape to your liking. Also, when we are quite done with our apple, let's just go and add one peculiar element. We will go to the middle part of the apple, a little bit toward the left side or a little bit toward the right side. Doesn't matter. We will add a little bite. Let's just go and create a few bumps like that. And we will close up the shape to adding the bumps on the opposite side. Later on, we will color it differently and it will look like our cat beats our apple. Now let's just go and add a few more elements to our right parts. We will go back to our brush and we will go right between these books that we have on the bottom and this book that we have created just right now. We will go and create a line going to the side. You can go and add some thickness to it. You can just elongate the line that you have right between these two books. When you have this line, let's just go and add another hanging star here. Let's firstly go to the edge of this line. We will step a little bit from the edge and we will start creating our little rope here. When you have this little rope, let's just go and again create the star if you want to play around and maybe create something different. You are always welcome to go and do that. When you're satisfied with the general ship, let's just go and put this star right on our rope. But if you want to tit this ship, you are welcome to first go away from the edited mode and then go to the ribbon icon freehands method. Select these elements and then go to the arrow key to adjust the ship. Play around with these elements, find what works for you and when you are done, let's deselect everything by hitting our S ribbon icon. Now let's just go and maybe add a little branch of lavender. Link, just go right to the apple. And again we will elongate the line here. And when we have it, we will just go to the side. And we will add a few lines like that if you don't want to add it or if you want to add another element. You are welcome to go and edit when we have everything done on our right. Let's move on to the left side. If you can go and create another layer for this part or if you don't want, you can keep doing everything on the same layer. Now let's just go closer to our cat and to the books that we have right here. And let's add another element here. For example, let's just add a little cauldron. Let's just go and start by creating a shape of the ellipse. Let's just find the middle part of the leg on the cat. If you want, you can go and make a little mark down right here. When you hand this mark down, let just go and create our shape of the ellipse. Let just go and do it just with one line. Hold it at the end, Adjust the size if you want to. If you need to adjust it even more, maybe make it more positioned on the horizontal axis. You are welcome to go to the editing mode and adjust it from here. Try to position your nodes that you have on the sides on one line to make sure that you're doing everything correctly. You can move it to the line that we have as the part of our rectangle on the scheme and just adjust it from here. Just position them on one line and then get it back to the place where it belongs. Play around with this element, you can put it a little bit higher or lower. Find what works for you, and find the size of the cauldron that you would like to see. For example, let's position it in that way. And you can see that we are overlapping our cats. That's okay. We can just go later and erase the parts that we don't need. Now, when we have the elements, let's just go and add the actual body of our caldron. Let's just go to one of the sides. We don't have to create our cauldron on our right. So let's just go to the left part. Let's just step a little bit from this line that we have on our allopse. From here we will just go to the bottom and we will create a curve going in that way. Hold it at the end if you want to adjust it and adjust it by going to the editing mode, find the curve that works for you. When you're done, let's just go away from our editing mode and when we have it, let's just go and add some thickness to the top part, to the allpse that we have here. Let's just go to the bottom line that we have for our allopse. Let's create a parallel line going through the whole shape. When you have it, we will need to close the shape by creating another curve on the site. Let's connect it nicely and smoothly with the body of our caldron. If you can also go to the inner part of this ellipse and add some thickness here too. You can go and adjust the size of your brush. And just go to the middle part of this element and create another curve going in that way, if you want to erase the lines that you don't need, go to the eraser tool and erase that. When you are done erasing the lines that you don't need, let's just get back to our brush and let's just go to this little part that we have on the bottom of the cauldron. Let's just add a little leg here. Just create a little bump like that. And then we can just go to the bottom part and continue creating a little curve there. Later on we can decide whether we want our cauldron to be overlap by books or if we want our books to overlap our caldron. When you have this cauldron, let's just go and add a little handle for it. Let's just go to the site. Firstly, to the edge that we have on our left, and we will just go to the intersection between our top part of the cauldron and the actual body of our caldron. We will start by creating a curvegne in that way, just create half of the allipse, hold it at the end as always. Adjust the size if you want to adjust it even more, if you want to by going to the eight in molt. Remember to always take a look at your illustration from the distance to decide whether you like it or not. When you found the position of this element that you like, let's just tap on the screen to get away from the editing mode. And then we'll go to this bottom part of this element and we will add a little handle. Let's just go and add a bit of thickness to the bottom part. When we have it, let's just go inside of our cauldron and you decide what you want to put inside it. If you want, you can go and maybe add some bubbles that are going to the top of the caldron. Or if you want, you can continue by creating a few more lavender branches. And when you are done with the cauldron, let's just go to the bottom part. And let's add one more element. We will create another candle, but we will create a different shape for the candle holder. Let's just go first, see our brush. We will increase the size of it and we will start again by creating the shape of the circle. Let's just go there, create our shape. Hold it at the end, and we will hold one of our fingers on the screen. Let's adjust the size. And also let just go to our editing mode and adjust the placement of this element. We can overlap our books, but make sure that in the top we will have a candle and probably it won't be very safe to put a candle too close to the books. Find the position that works for you. And when you are done, let's just go away from our editing mode now. Let's just go to the bottom. And we will add a few bumps here. What we need to do is to go more toward the right side and create a few elements in that way. We are going to the bottom and we are creating some teeth because we are creating a skull here. Let's just go and create something in that way. Let just go with four elements and when we reached the end that we have on our right, let's just create a line that will connect with our shape of the circle. When you have something like that, let's just go and add the holes for our eyes. We can just go and find the center of the ship by creating a curve going in that way. Then we will go to the sides and we will start by creating the ship on our left. Firstly, let's just go and create it. In that way, we will create a big ellipse if you want to. You can go and hold your apple pencil at the end of the line, snap it to a better shape when you have this first hole. Let's just go inside of it and let's shade it. Now we will need to do the same thing on the opposite side. Let's just go and create another shape of the ellipse. When you have it, we will go and shade it and you can take a look at your illustration and decide whether you want to adjust some part right now, for example, let's just go to our ribbon icon. And we will move our eye that we have on the left, a little bit more toward the left. When the shape is selected, we are going to our arrow key, and we are moving it more toward the left. Find what works for you when you're satisfied. Let's just go away from our selection. We will go and tap on our ribbon icon. When we have it, we will just go and add some nostrils. Let's just go to the bottom part of the eyes and we will add two lines in that way. Now if you want to adjust the ship even more and to see it more clearly, you can just go to the ribbon icon. Select the whole ship. Go to the arrow key and move it a little bit. When you have it just moved. Let's just go to our liquefied tool and let's adjust it a little bit. Before doing that, you can go to the eraser tool and erase all the lines that you don't need. Now let's just spend some time here and adjust our skull. In the end, we will need to have something like that when you are satisfied with the shape of your skull. Let's just go again to our ribbon icon. We will use freehand method. We will select this whole shape. We will go to our arrow key on the top left. We'll put it back close to our books. Again, adjust the size. If you want to adjust the rotation, you are welcome to go and do that. Find the placement for these elements. When you are done, adjusting it and finding the placement for it, let's just go and deselect it by going to our S ribbon icon. Now we will go over the top of our skull and we will do the same thing as we did on the top that we have on the right. We will be creating another candle Here, let's firstly go and create a little bump like that, the same way as we did on our apple. When we have it, we will go to the sides of these elements and we will start creating straight lines going up. If you want to play around with the thickness of this element, you are welcome to go and do that. And when you have the size of the candle that you like, let's just go and add some melting parts again. We are going to the top and we are creating some elements like that. If you need to erase some parts that you don't need, grab an eraser to and erase them. When we are done erasing the parts that we don't need, let's just go over the top and we will create the ellipse on top. When you have something like that, let's just go to the middle part on this ellipse and let's create our flame elements again. If you need to erase some parts, go and erase them. And now we are done with aiding our additional elements. Take a look at your illustration. If you want to add more additional elements, you are welcome to go and do that. But remember not to overdo everything. That means that you don't need to add too many elements and make it look like it's just a mess here. When you're done with aiding or additional elements, let's just go and at the parts that we don't need. And also we will go and maybe adjust some little parts if we want to adjust them. For example, let's firstly go to our li with the cat. And let's just move the hats off our cats a little bit toward the left side when we are at our layer with the cat. Let's just go to our ribbon icon. And we will select the head element, loop it around, select only the head. And then let's just go to our arrow key. And let just move a little bit toward the left side. If you want, you can go and play around with the size of the hat. Or if you want, you can just go and tratate it to your liking. Just always take a look at your illustration from the distance 6. Clean Lines: This part, let's create the clean lines. Basically, what we need to do is to go to our canvas and repeat everything that we have for our lines that we have on this page. Of course, if we would like to go and adjust some parts, we are welcome to go and do that. Mainly we will need to focus on the lines that we have outside the basic outlines of our objects. And we will need to make these lines pretty close as for the lines that we have inside our objects. For example, these little elements on a fur that we have underneath the heat. We can just go and create some texture with our lines. We don't need to recreate everything that we have here, we will just need to create the clean lines. Also, if you don't want to create the lines one more time, you are welcome to go and maybe clean up your sketch. But maybe that will be a little bit too time consuming and it will be easier for you to create the lines one more time. For now, let's just go and start by creating our new layer. Let's just get back to our layers. We will go and select the whole group that we have here above it. We will create one more layer. Let's just tap on the plus icon and let's rename this layer as clean lines. Also, we will need to go and we will need to merge all of the lis that we have for our layers with the sketch for this part. Let's just go and create one more copy on this group just in case we will have all the layers separately. What we need to do is to go to our group with the sage. We will swipe it from right to left, and we will make a duplicate. When you have it, we will go to the bottom group that we have here. Firstly, we will collapse it. Let's just go to this little V icon near the chat box. And then we will go and hide it by tapping on this checkbox in case we have the sage layers just on the separate layers. As for the second group, let me just go and flatten everything up. What we need to do is to go to this group that we have on the top, tap on it, and we will need to choose flatten. Now we have everything on one layer. You can try it out by going to this little check mark. Hide it and hide it. You will see that you have everything on this layer. If you want, you can go and rename it as Sketch, for example. Let's just tap on it. Let's choose rename, and let's just rename it as Sketch. We also will need to go and change the capacity of this layer. Let's just go to our icon. We will go to the Apacity slider and we will find the comfortable amount of capacity for you. Grab this slider and move it to the left until you still can see what's happening onto your lier with this cage. But when it's not that bright, find the amount And when you are done, let's just tap on our li, with this cage one more time. Now we will go to our new layer, that is our layer with clean lines. And we will also need to go and change the brush. You can use a few options in this part. You can go and select the brush that will be very smooth and you can create the lines in that way. You can go and create the lines with the sketchy lines. You are welcome to go and do that too. Also, if you want to follow along, you can go to the project and rest step and download the brush that you will see throughout this part. When you have the brush that you like, let's just go and adjust it just a little bit. We want all of our lines to be pretty smooth. Let's just go and tweak one option. Let me just tap on our brush and we will go inside the brush studio. On the left, we will go under stabilization. On the top, you can see that we have the amount of streamline, We have the slider and when we have our streamline set at very low amount, you can go to the drawing pad and try out how your brush works. If we are creating a line, we have a lot of control over it, but it is quite jagged. If you would like to use this option for your brush, you are welcome to use it. But also if you want to go and play around with the amount of streamline and create smoother lines, you are welcome to do it too to adjust it. We will go again to our slider of amount and you can try out a maximum amount to see how it works when we are at the maximum. Let's just go to the drawing pad, and again, we will try it out. You can see that we are creating a very, very smooth line, but we are losing a bit of control over it. You will just need to go to the slider with amount and find the amount that works for you. When you're satisfied with the amount of streamline, let's just tap on our done button on the top right now we will just go and use the same color that we were using before, which is our line color. And we will start recreating the lines that we have on our sage. Again, I'm reminding you that if you want to change some parts of your illustration on this stage, you are welcome to go and do that now very easily, let's just go and recreate our lines. Also, you can use all the options that we were using before. You can hold your lines in the end. You can go to the editing mode and adjust the lines from here. When we are done with line in all of our objects, let's just get back to our list and we will hide our layer. With this sketch, we will take a look at everything, and if we need to go and adjust some parts, we will go and adjust them. Let's just zoom in our canvas and let's just take a look at everything that we have here. If you want to go and add some additional little lines, you are welcome to go and do that. For example, you can go to the books and you can add some texture to them, for example. In that way, we can go to this book that we have in the middle and we can go to this little part that we have in the middle. And we will create a few lines going in that way. Try to use as little pressure for the brush as you can and create a few little elements like that. You can go all over all of our elements. And if you want to add these details, you are welcome to go and do that. You can do it, for example, with the books. You can do it with the belt on our hats and with some other elements too. Let's just spend some time here and let's add the little additional elements. And when you are done aiding these little additional elements, take a look at your illustration from the distance one more time and decide whether you want to adjust some parts or not. And if you don't want to adjust or add anything, let's move on to our next part, where we are going to be aiding our base colors. 7. Basic Colors: When we are done with our lines, let's just start D and RBs colors. Firstly, we will go to our brush library. We'll go to the calligraphy folder and we will choose moline brush. If you want, you can go to this brush, go inside the brush studio and adjust the amount of streamline. Try it out on your drawing pad, find what works for you. And remember that you can always get back to this option and adjust it later on if you need to. When you found the amount of streamline that works for you, let's just tap on Done button on the top right. Now when we have our brush prepared, let just go to our layers. And we will need to create one more layer for our first element that we want to recolor. We will be creating a new layer for almost every new element. Let's just start from the bottom because it will be easier for us to create our colors in that way. Now what we need to do is to add a new layer underneath our layer with the clean lines. Let's just go to our layer with sketch flatten. We will select it, and from here we will create one more layer that will already name as rock. When we have our new layer, let's just get back to our color palette and let's pick the color that you want to use for your rock elements. You can decide what color you want to use. For example, let's just go with some pinkish tones. For example, pink or pin rat will work best. Let's select one of these colors, and when we have it, we will go to our rock elements. What we need to do is to go along the line that we have here and create another outline. As we've made our line with some texture brush, it will be a little bit hard for us to just drag and drop the color here for us. It will be easier to create another outline and just drag and drop the color into this new outline. Let me just very quickly go and create this outline. As we're starting from the bottom, you don't need to be very accurate and don't need to be very precise with these elements that we have on top. You don't need to go to these little lines that you have for your book and just go right along them. You can just go a little bit beyond these lines and later on we will overlay it with another color. Now very quickly, let just go and create this outline and then we'll drag and drop the color inside. When you have the outline, make sure that it is closed and you don't have any gaps. And when you do this, let just go and drag and drop the color inside. If you have the result like that, when you are dragging and dropping the color inside, you have a little white outline right between your outline and this element that you have inside. Don't lift up your apple pencil and you will see on the top you have the option threshold. You just need to find the amount of threshold that will work for your elements and when you don't see this little white line between your two elements, the outline and the main color inside. Now when we are done with these elements, let's just go and create another layer. Again, we are going to our layers and let's just work onto the books for now, let's go and create one more layer and we will rename it as Books. Now for the books, for our covers, we will go with dark color. That will be our color with the name. Dark purple. For the inside parts, we will need to go with off white color. Let's just start with off white color and we will add it to the inner parts, to our pages the same way as we did before. Let's just go and create the outlines and then we will drag and drop the color inside. You can add the colors to your book on one layer, or you can create a new layer for every new book. It's all up to you, And when we've added the color for our pages, let's just go and change the color of our brush. So let's just go with dark purple color. And with this dark purple color, let's just go and add the colors to the colors of our books. If you want, you can go and add different colors to some of the objects. So for example, let's just go with the same pinkish color to the second book that we have right here. And we will go to the left part and we will recolor our book on the left part with this pinkish color as we already have this pinkish color onto our canvas. Let's just go and invoke our eye drop, a tool to select this color from our canvas. And we don't need to go to our color palettes to do so. We will need to go to this needed color. And we will need to hold one of our fingers on the screen until we have this little too. If you move it, you will see that you are changing the color on the top of this two. Let's just go to the color that we need to pick. And when we have it on the top of the tool, we will just lift up our finger. Now you can see that we've changed the color on our top right. And that's exactly what we need when we have this needed color. Let's just go to our second book, to the left part of it, and let's add this pinkish color to these little parts. Also, we can just go to our right part and add some pinkish color to some of these elements too if you want to. And when you are done with this pinkish color, let's just get back to our color with dark purple. So we can just go and invoke our eye dropper tool and pick the color from our canvas Or also we can just go to our tool on the top right and hold it and you will see that you will get back to your previous color. So now with the same dark purple color, let's just go and continue adding the color to the colors of our books. And when we are done with our main elements, we are ready to go and add the color to the little additional elements that we have on our books. You can just go to the little elements on the second book and recolor them. And then let's just go and add the colors to our little folders. For this little triangle, let's just pick the same pinkish color and let's recolor it with this color. Also, we will use the same color for our little element that we have on our book, that we have on the bottom. Let's just go and again, recolor it with the pinkish color. If you want to use any other different color, you are welcome to go and pick it and add the color on your own. As for this little element on our right, let's just go to our color palettes and select this bluish purple color. With this color, we will go to it and we will recolor it. And also, while we are still using this bluish color, let's just go to this book that we have on top and we will recolor it with this color too. Let's just go and do the same thing as we did before. We will start creating our outlines and then we'll drag and drop the color inside. If you want to recolor some of these elements with different color, you are welcome to go and do that. Pick the colors that you need, entry, color these little parts. When we are done with the books, let's just go to our list and let's create one more layer onto this layer. Let's just recolor our miscellaneous objects. Let's remain this layer as miscellaneous. Now let's just go entry color, our elements on the left, little stars and some elements that we have on our head here. If you want, you can keep these elements that you have on the head to the head layer. Let me just go and work mostly onto these elements that we have on the bottom and in the middle part. Let's just go and start with our little skull. Let's just go to our color palettes. And let's select either purple color or bluish purple. Let's select one of these colors, and when you have it, let's just go color these little elements. As for the eyes, let's just go again to our color palette and let's select the same color that we were using for our lines. With this color, we will just go color these two elements. When you are done, let's just get back to our color palettes and let's select this yellowish color. With this yellowish color, we will go and add the color to our candles, or if you want, you can go with the off white color. It's all up to you when we are done with the candles. Let's just get back to our color palettes and select the color for our flames elements. So you can just go with either pink cred, or off white. Let's select one of these colors and let's add it to our flames with the same color. Let's just go to this little star that we have on our right. And let's recolor it too. Now let's just go and pick the color for our little apple. We will use being red color. Let's just go and add the color to this element for our little leaf. Let's just add the same yellowish color that we have for our little candle. Again, let's invoke the eye dropper to and add the color in that way. Also for this little element that we have on our apple, our bites, Let's add this yellowish color that we have on top, which is our light yellow color or off white. When we are done with the apple, let's just go and add the color to our caldron. Let's just use either the same color that we were using for the color is the books or you can go with any other color that you like. Let's just go and start adding the color to our caldron, the inner part over our cauldron. Let's just go and use either purple or bluish purple color if you want to go and add little color to your little leaves that you have as a lavender or any kind of grass that you have here. Let's just go and do that too, when we are done, Decide whether you want to add the color to these elements on the hat, on this layer or let's just move on to our next layer where we are going to be adding the color on our cat. Let's just go to our layers and we will create one more layer that will rename as Cat. When we have our new layer, let's just get back to our color palettes and we will select the color with the name cat. Again, we will do the same thing as we did before. We will just go and recreate the outlines that we have for the main shape of the cat. For now, let's keep our ears not colored. Let's just go and create the outline, and let's just drag and drop the color inside. As for the ears, let's pick the same color that we were using for our rock one more time. Let's invoke our eye drop. Pick the color that we need, and let's go to our ears and let's recolor them. When we are done with these elements, let's just work onto our eyes. Firstly, let's just get back to our color palettes. And let's let our off white color, we will go to the outer parts of our eyes and we will recolor that when we have these bright spots. Let's just go and pick the same color that we were using for the lines and we will go inside our eyes and we will recolor these little parts. Also remember that at the sketch part we had some little places that we were adding to the eyes. So let me just go and find out where we need to put these little elements. What we need to do is to go to our layers and find our layer with this sketch flatten. Let's select it and let's put it above all the layers that we have here. To do so, we will need to hold our layer with Sketch and we will just drag it up. Now we will go and hide it. And then we will go and change the color of our lines to see what we need to add here. When this layer with this cage is selected, we are going to our magic one tool and we will go under huge sitration and brightness. When we are at huge sitration and brightness, we will go to the brightness slider. And we will drag it more toward the right side until we can see what we need to add to our eyes when you have this element seen. Let's one more time tap on our magic, one tool to close this window. Then we will go to our color palette and we will select bluish purple color. When we have it, we will need to get back to our layers and go to our layer with the cat. When we are add this layer, let's just go and add these little triangular shapes on the bottom of our ice. Take a look at your illustration from the distance and decide whether you want to adjust these little parts. If you want to, let's firstly go to our layers and hise, our layer with sketch flatten. And then we will go to these elements and we will adjust them to our liking. To do so, we will need to use the same color that we were using for our main parts on the ice. Don't use the eraser tool because you will be erasing everything that you have on this layer, pick the color that you need, and then adjust these little elements if you want to. When you are done adjusting these parts, let's just get to our layers and let's create one more layer on which we will be creating our hat. Let's just tap on the plus icon, and let's rename this layer as hat. Firstly, let's just go and work on the main shape. We will get back to our color palettes and we will select dark purple color. With a dark purple color, we will go to the bottom part of the heat and to the main shape that we have on the top. And again, let's just go and start by creating the outlines and then we'll drag and drop the color inside. When you are done with the main shape of your hat, let just go and add the color to the belt and to this inner part of our hat. So let's just firstly go to our color palettes. And let's select this purple color. With the purple color, we will go inside these objects and we will add the color to that. Now let us work onto these additional elements. So firstly, let us go and peek our yellowish color and add it to our crescent elements. Maybe two, our little sparkles on the heat and two, our little star. And also, let me just add the same color to the stick on our little broom. And when you did it, if you want, you can go and add the same color to these elements on the belt. Or if you want, you can go and change the color of white. For example, when you've recolored these elements, let's just go and pick up our pink, red color. With this color, we will go and recolor our broom and also our little leaf on the left, and this little hanging part that we have up front, our little star, and also with the same color. Let's just go to the stitches elements that we have on our bottom part on the head. Let me just add this color to these little elements. Now we are done with our basic colors. Take a look at your illustration from the distance. Decide whether you like it or not. If you want, you can go and adjust some parts. Maybe if you zoom in your canvas, you can find some places that you need to color even more. Maybe you have some miscolored places. Take a look at your illustration and adjust the parts if you need to adjust them. When you are ready, let's move on to our next part, where we are going to be aiding our shadows and highlights. 8. Shadows & Highlights: Let's begin this fight firstly by going and changing our brush. We are going to the brush library. We are going to the inking folder this time, and we will select technical pen brush. If you want, you can go inside this brush to the brush studio. Choose stabilization on the left and adjust the amount of streamline. Find what works for you. Try out on the drawing pad. And when you are done, let just hit down over our top right. Now when we have our brush, we will need to figure out how we are going to be putting our shadows and highlights. We need to be consistent with them. We will need to know where is our light source. Because objects that are closer to our light source will be lighter, and objects that are farther from it will be in the shadow. We will need to go and figure out where we want to put it. Let's firstly go to our layers. We will go above all the layers that we have and we will tap on the plus icon to create a new layer. Onto this layer, we will go over the top of the whole composition that we have here, either to the left side or to the right. You can decide it. We will just go and create a little arrow like this. We will be creating our shadows and highlights in accordance with this arrow. We are just taking a look at our arrow and the objects that are closer to our arrow will have our highlights and objects that are farther from our arrow or the objects that are overlapping. Other objects will be in the shadow. Let's first go and work our elements one by one. Let's go to our layers and we will go to our rock element. We will go and create one more layer above this element, and we will rename it as shadows. Also, we want to use only the elements that we have on the previous layer and we don't want to add any more details outside our rock. We can just go and clean this layer to a previous one. And we will be aiding our details only on the rock that we have on our previous layer. Let's do this in that way. We will tap on our layer with the shadows and we will choose clipping mask. If you now go to your rock and if you try to create something here, you will see that you are aiding your details only on the rock. Now what we need to do next is to change the blending modes of this layer. Blending modes are different ways your layers can interact with each other. By changing blending modes, you can create different visual effects. Now let us go to this layer with the shadows. And we will go to the icon and we will find multiply blending modes. As for the opacity for now, we can keep it at maximum and later on we can get back to this option and adjust it. Now when we set our layer, let's just get back to our color palettes and let's select some color. For example, we can go either with bluish purple, with pink, red, or any color that you like. You can try it out. If you don't like it, you can go and change it into color palettes and try it out one more time. For example, let's just go with bluish purple color. We will go underneath our books, we will go underneath our object on the left, and we will start creating our shadow in that way. Let's just go and just repeat the outlines that we have for these objects. You can adjust the thickness of these lines. You can make them very thin or very thick. It's all up to you. Remember that we can always take a look at our arrow that we have created on the top. And it will help us to put our shadows in the right way. For example, if we take a look at our err on the top, we will see that we will need to add the shadow right here behind our books. Let's just go there and create a very wobbly shape for our shadow. Let's just go inside the shape and let's add the shadow in that way. Also, we can just go and add a little shadow underneath our star. Let's just go there and repeat a few little lines like that. If you want to go and add more shadows, you are welcome to go and do that. If you want, you can go and maybe add some depth to these little elements that you have near the edge of your rock. So for example, you can just go there and add a few lines in that way. When we are done with these elements, we can definitely say that our shadows are too bright. So let's just get back to our lies. We will go to our lier with the shadow on the rock. We will go to the M icon. We will go to the apacity slider. And we will adjust the opacity until we like it. Also, when you have created your shadow, and maybe if you don't like the color of it, you can always go to the magic 12 huge sitration and brightness and play with the sliders here. For example, let's just go to the hue slider and maybe find something different. If you found something that you like, just keep it as it is. Then just go and desalect everything by heating your magic 121 more time. Now when we are done with our rock, let's continue adding our details onto the books. Let's select our lay with the books. And again, we will create one more layer above it and we will rename it as shadows. Let's clean this layer to a previous one. Tap in it and select and clipping mask. When we did it, we are going to our icon and we are selecting multiply blending mode for the capacity. Let's keep it at maximum for now and then we'll get back to it and we will adjust it later on. Now for the books, let's just go back to our color palette. And let's select pin red color. With this pin red color, we are taking a look at our arrow on the top. And we will just go and add our shadows in accordance with it. Firstly, let's just go to this book that we have on the top, and we will just go there and add the shadow to these little pages. We can definitely say that our shadow is too bright, so we can just go straight away to our shadows, go into the M icon. And we can change the capacity to something like 50, 55% if you want to adjust it in any other way. If you want to play with capacity to your liking, you are welcome to go and do that. Find the amount, the capacity that works for you. And let's continue adding our little shadows. Let's just go underneath some of our little pages on our left. And let's just go and add little shadows there too. You can just go randomly, you can add a few more lines like that, so they will represent more pages. If you want, you can go to the bottom of this little triangle that we have here, and we can add a little shadow in that way here. Also, we can just go underneath our cover of the book. And we can add the shadow here too. We can say that our cover is a little bit upfront rather than our pages. The same thing we can do on our right. And we can add our little shadow underneath this cover. Two, also, if we take a look at our era, we can definitely say that we can add a full shadow to these pages on the right. But if you want to play around, you are welcome to go and do that. You can go and fully cover it with a shadow, or you can add a few more lines and maybe play with the shadow in that way when we have it. Let's just go underneath this book to the next one. And let's add the shadows here too. Again, we will go firstly underneath our cover and we will add a little shadow in that way. Then we will go to this little side that we have on the right. And we will add a little shadow there too. You can just follow the lines that you have as your lines or you can go and create the shadows in some peculiar way. We are not creating a very photo realistic picture. We can play around with our shadows and just create something that we will like. Let's just go and add a few more lines on this book. And also we can just go to the right part of this book, to the bottom of it. And we can add our little shadow there too. So let just go to the bottom part of this book and let's just add our shadow. Just repeating the lines that we have here also. We can just go underneath the tail and we can repeat it and end the shadow in that way too. And the same thing we will do with the book that we have on the bottom. Again, we can go to the right part and fully cover it with our shadow. We can play around and add the shadow in a different way. You decide what you want to do with this shadow. As for this little thing on this book, let's just go over the right part. And let's add a little shadow here too when we have it on the right. Let's just go to the left side and let's add our shadow to this part two. Again, we are going underneath our cover and we are adding our first shadow in that way. Then we will go to the little pages that we have and we will add a few more lines. Also, we can just go underneath this little thing that we have on our book on the bottom, and we can add a little shadow that is casting from this little thing. And also we can just go to our little skull and we can add a little shadow to our book Two, If you need to adjust your shadows in any way, you are welcome to go and grab an eraser two and erase the parts that you don't need. Now when we are ready with our books, let's continue by going to our layers and we will go to our miscellaneous objects. Again, we will go above this lie and we will create one more lee that will rename as shadows. Let's clip it to previously and let's set this lee as multiply blending modes, apacity at maximum for now. And later on we will get back to this option and we will adjust it. Now when we have our layer, let's just use the same pinkish color. And we will start by going to our left part. And we will add little shadow to our candle. Let's just go underneath this little melting part. And let's add our shadow here too. And also, we can just go to the whole right part and create the shadow in that way. You always can play around with your shadows. If you want to add some texture with the shadows, you are welcome to go and do that. For example, you can go to these little elements that you have on your candle and make them more prominent. If you want to add more shadows to your elements, you are welcome to go and do that. Now let's just go to our opposite side, to the candle that we have here. We will do the same thing here. We will go underneath the melting parts and we will add our shadows the same way as we did before. Add some texture if you want to. Let's just go with the same color to our apple. And let's add the shadow here too. Firstly, we will go to this little n that we have on the middle part. And then we will go to the right side and we will add a little shadow just repeating the lines that we already have on our apple. If you want to add a little shadow to the leaf, let's just go and do that when we are ready with our apple. Let's just get back to our color palettes and let's select a different color. With this color, we will firstly go to our skull. And we will add the shadow here too. For example, let's just go either with purple or bluish purple color. We will go again and take a look at our arrow. And we will know that we will need to put our shadow to the bottom right part of our skull. Let's just go and do that also. We will just need to cast a little shadow from the candle. Let's just go and we will create a shadow In that way, we will firstly go underneath our candle and then we will go to the right. And we will create a line going in that way. Then we will go and manually recolor this little part. When we are down, we can definitely say that our shadows are too bright. So let's just go back to our layers. Go into our layer with the shadow tapping on the M icon. And then we'll go and change the opacity, Find what works for you. And when you are done, let's continue adding our shadows. Now let's just take a look at what miscellaneous objects we have onto this layer. This is our little star on the right, our little caldron. Let's just go to the caldron firstly, And let's add the shadow here too. Again, take a look at our arrow on the top and we will know that we will need to put our shadow more towards our bottom right part. Let's just go and repeat the shape of our caldron. Let's create our shadow in that way. Also, we can just go underneath this little top part, and we can add a little shadow here too. When we have these two outlines, let's just go and manually add the shadows to these areas. Don't forget that we will need to put a little shadow underneath our little handle that we have on the left. Let's just go and pin the line that we have here. We will just go and create a parallel to our handle line when we have something like that. Let's just go to the top part of our cauldron. Let's just add the shadow to this whole area here if you want to go and maybe add some shadows to the inner part on the cauldron. You are welcome to go and do that too if you want to add some texture elements, maybe some bubbles or something like that. Again, you are welcome to go and do that. Now let just get back to our color palette and let's select our yellowish color. And we will go to this little star that we have on our right. And let's just add little shadows on the bottom parts that we have on our star. Again, you can always take a look at your arrow that you have on the top, and that way you will know where you need to put your shadows. When we are done with our little star, we will need to get back to our books layer where we have our shadows and add the shadows to this book that we have on the top. One more time, let's just get back to this layer with the shadows. We will get back to our color palettes and we will select some, maybe purplish color with this color. We will go to the bottom part of the book and we will add our shadow here. Also, we can just go underneath this little candle that we have here. And we can repeat the outlines to create a shadow here too. If you want to add some texture elements to this book, you are welcome to go and do that. When we are done with adding this shadow, let's continue by going to our next layer. Our next layer is our layer with the cat. Let's just create one more layer above it. Let's rename it as shadows. Let's clip it to a previous layer. Tapping, selecting, clipping mask. And then we are going to our icon to select multiply blending mode. As for the capacity for now, let's straightaway go with something like 30% when we have our capacity set. Let's just get back to our color palette. And again, we will select purple color. When we have it, we will take a look at our arrow on the top platt. And we will know that we will need to go underneath our hat and we will need to add our first shadow here. Let me just go step a little bit from this line that we have for our bottom part on the hat. We'll just go there and repeat it. Let's just create something in that way. We will go through the whole shape of our cat's head and we will add our shadow in that way. We also can go to this ear on the right, and we can create some peculiar shadow here if you want, for example. We can just go and create a fur element in that way when we have it. Let's just go to this area that we have just created. And let's just add our shadow manually. When we are done with the shadow on the top, let's just go to the bottom part, underneath our head. Firstly, let's just add our little shadow here too. Firstly, let's just go to the leg that we have on our left. And we will just go there and create some fur elements that will represent the shadow. Let's just go and create a few lines going in that way. And then we will go to the bottom and we will add our shadow in a manual way. Then we will also go more to the right part on this leg and we will just continue creating our shadow in that way. You can go along this line and you can add a few more fur elements. It's all up to you when we have something like that. Let's just go to the bottom of the leg and let's create the shadow that will be parallel to the shadow that we have on our cauldron. Let's create something in that way. When we have the outline, let's just go underneath it and let's create our shadow. Also, you can continue going along this shadow and you can add a few more fur lines when you have something like that. Let's just go to the opposite leg. And let's add our second shadow here. Again, we will start by going to the bottom part. And let's continue creating our shadow the same way as we did on our first leg. Let's just go there and create a shadow going in that way when we have the outline go into the bottom on this line and we are creating our shadow in a manual way if you want to go along the line and if you want to add some additional elements, you are welcome to go and do that. Also, if you want to go underneath the head and continue creating the shadow here on the right part two, again, you're welcome to go and do that. You can just go and create a few more fur lines like that. When we are done with the head, let's just go more toward the right side to the bomb area. And we will add the shadow here too. Let's firstly go and create a little shadow going through the whole shape on the right. And then we'll go along this line and we will add a few more fur lines. Also, we can just go to this little bump that we have right here underneath the heat. And we can put it in the shadow too, if you want to add some fur lines, go and do that. When we are done, we will go to the tail and we will start aiding our shadows again, taking a look at our error on the top. And we will decide where we need to put our shadows. We are going more towards the right side and the bottom part on the tail, and we are adding our shadows here. Let's just start from the bottom on the tail. And we will just go and continue creating our shadow going in the same direction that our lines are. Let's just go when we have our outline, we will go underneath it and we will create our shadow manually. Then when we have the shadow on the bottom, we will continue by going over the right part and we will create our little shadow in that way. Again, if you want to add the fur effect, you are welcome to go and add the lines. Also can go to this leg that you have as a back leg and add the shadow right here. Now we are done with the shadows on the cat. If you want to add any more shadows to your liking, you're welcome to go and do that. If you are ready to continue, let's just go to our layers. And let's just go to our li with the hat. Again, we will do the same thing as before. We will create one more layer and we will rename it as Shadow. Let's clip this layer to a previous one. Tapping, selecting, clipping mask. And then we are going to the icon and selecting, multiply, blending mode. As for the capacity, keep it at maximum for now, and then adjust it or straightway go to something like 30, 50% When you are satisfied with setting your shadow layer, let's just go back to our color palettes. And let's select either purple or pin red color. You decide this time when you're satisfied with the color that you've selected. Let's just go firstly underneath our belt. And we will add our little shadow there too. Again, we are just going to this area and we are repeating what we have here. If you feel that straight away your shadow is too bright, you know what you need to do. You will need to get back to the layers. Go to the shadow layer that you have just created. Go to the M icon and adjust the opacity from here. When you are done adjusting it, let's just go to the belt itself. And let's add some shadows here too. We are again taking a look at our area on the top and it will help us to put our shadows. We will need to go to the bottom parts of our belt and to some areas that are overlapping by another areas and also more toward the right part that we have on the bottom. And we will need to add our shadows there. Let's first go to this free end that we have as our belt. And we'll go to the bottom part of it. And we will continue creating our shadow in that way. If you want to go underneath your elements or if you want to maybe protrude some of these parts, you will need to go to the site and you will need to add the shadow here to which part of these areas you will need to go. You will need to take a look at your arrow and it will help you to decide, again, if you want to add some texture elements with your shadows, you are welcome to go and do that when we are done with this bottom part on the belt. Let's just go to this little element that we have right here on the top and we will put it completely in the shadow when we are done with this part, let's just go to this belt part that we have on our left. We will go firstly to the bottom part of it, and then we will create a shadow going in that way. Again, if you want to add some texture elements, just go and do that when we are done here. Let's just go to the top part of our head and let's start adding the shadow here. What we need to do here is to go to the right part firstly and create the shadow going in that way. When you have the first outline, go to this part that you have on the right and let just manually colerate if you want to go and create more peculiar shape for your shadow. You are welcome to go and do that when we have the shadow on this bottom part. Let's just go to the top hanging part and let's add the shadow here too. What we need to do is to go to this little fold that we have here. And from this fold we will go with another curve, going to almost the end of the element. We will then go to the bottom part and we will fill it with color. And also we will just need to go to this little element that we have on the top of the head. And we will need to go to this little fold and add the shadow here too. Take a look at your illustration from the distance and decide whether you want to add more shadows or keep it as it is right now. If you want to make these little elements that you have on the top of the head, little sparkles, more protruding, you can go underneath them, to the bottom of the right part and add little shadows to them too. When you have these elements done, let's just go to the leaf and let just add the shadow, go into the bottom part of it when we have it, let's just go over our right part and we will add the shadows to our broom and to our star. Firstly, let's just go to the broom because we have a suitable color. Let's just go more toward the right part of it. And let's just add the shadow in that way. If you want to go and add some texture lines, you are welcome to go and do that. Also, let's just go to these little parts that we have on the top of the broom. And let's just add little shadows to them too. We can go with the same color to our little star and add our shadow to the bottom of it. Now we are done with our shadows, so let's just go and add some highlights. Firstly, we will need to go back to our layers and we will create one more layer above this layer with the shadows on the hat. Let's just stop on the plus icon, and let's rename this layer as highlights. We also will need to go to the icon, and we will need to change the blending mode, but this time we are selected not multiply but add blending modes. We will also go to our apastis layer, and for now we will set it at 50 something percent. When we have it set, let's just go and start adding our highlights. Firstly, with the same color that we already have right now. Let's firstly go over our top part of the heat. And let's just go to the opposite from our shadow side. And let's start adding the highlight in that way. Just go along the line and create a little highlight if you want. You can play around with it. You can go with some peculiar shape. You can go over the top of this little shape of the head and add the full highlight. Going in that way, you can just make a dashed line. You can go with a solid one. You are welcome to go and play around with your highlights. Just try to not go to the areas where you have the shadows and don't add the highlights there. If you want to add some texture elements the same way as you did with your shadows, you are welcome to go and do that. Now. In the same way, we will go over all of our elements and we will be aiding our highlights when you are done with the top part of the heat. Let's just go to the bottom part of it. Again, we are taking a look at our Re on the top and we are adding our highlights in accordance with it. Let's just go over the top part of the heat and let's just add our little highlight there. If you want to add some texture elements again, you are welcome to go and do that. If you want to go along this whole shape on the bottom, you are welcome to go and add our little highlights on this little part. When we are ready with our heads, let's just go to the belt. We will go over the top of this belt and we will add a few highlights there too. We are mainly going over the top parts and we are going to the opposite side from our shadows. Let's just go and try not to overdo it. We will just go and add just a few highlights. Let's just go over our crescent. And again, we can just go over the left side and we can add a few lines with the highlights if you want to experiment, if you want to maybe add some lines, maybe some dots. You are always welcome to go and do that when you are done with adding the highlights to the heat, let's move on to our cat. We will go to the areas that we have underneath the heat, and let's just add a few more highlights there. Again, we are going to the opposite sides from our shadows. But firstly, let's just go and change the color of our brush. We will go either with yellowish or of white color. When you have the color selected, let's just go to the opposite sides from our shadows, and let's just add our little highlights. Firstly, let's just go to the leg that we have, more toward the right part, we will go to the edge of it and we will add our little highlight. In that way, if you want to add maybe some fur elements again, you are welcome to go and add it. Then we will go to the sur elements on our left. And again we will add little highlights there too when we're add with our leg on the left. Let's just go right here underneath the head. And let's just add a few dots like that that will represent some highlights when we have it. Let's just go to the leg that we have as a back leg and we will add a highlight going in that way. Again, if you want to play around with the highlights, if you want to go and maybe add some further elements, you are welcome to go and do that when you are done, let's just go to the tail and let's add a few more lines, maybe some dots to our til. Again, go into the opposite side from our shadows. When you are satisfied, let's just go to the rest of the elements and let's add the highlight to them too. Let's firstly go to our caldron. We will go to the top part of it and we will add a few dots there. We will also go to the side that we have on the left, and we can add little highlight there too. If you want to add some texture elements, you know what you need to do, you will just need to go there and add it. Then when we are done with our caldron, let's just go to the books. We can go and add just a few highlights, go into the pages and maybe to the covers. And just go there and add a few dots and maybe some glowy sparkles When we are done with the caldron, let's continue adding just a few little highlights to the books. Firstly, let's just go to our pages and maybe add a few lines. In that way, if you want to add the highlights to the cover of the book, go over the top part and add your highlights. Now let's just go and add a few more lines and maybe some dots to the pages and maybe to the covers. And let's add our highlights in that way. Add some texture lines if you want to. When you are done, let's just go and add some highlights to our skull and to our candles. Again, taking a look at our air on the top and going over the top parts of our objects to the opposite sides from our shadows. The same thing with the apple. We can just go there over the top left. And we can add our little highlight if you want to add more highlights, for example, to this book that you have underneath. You are welcome to go and do that. Also, let's just go to this little star over our right and to this little element that we have in our book. And let's just add little highlights there too. Take a look at your illustration and decide whether you want to add more of the highlights. For example, you can add them not only to the elements that you have as you part of your composition. You can go over your elements to the blank space and you can add some dots and maybe some sparkles going around. Let's just go and maybe add a few lines or little elements like that. When you are done with adding these little elements, let's just get back to our layers. Let's just hide our layer with this little arrow on the top. Now one more time. We're taking a look at our illustration from the distance and we are deciding whether we are done or whether we want to add more elements. If you are satisfied with your illustration, we are done with our class. Thank you for watching this class live review if you liked it, and continue subscribing for more Ali videos in the future. Looking forward to seeing your projects.
