1. Introduction: Hello, everyone. I'm uni, and into this class, we'll
draw a cute bunny in a cup. This class doesn't require any prior experience
or fancy tools. We'll start from
scratch and we'll be using simple techniques
throughout the process. Everything you'll see will
be happening in Procreate. However, if you
have added software or want to try
traditional materials, you're welcome to join. If you're ready to start,
let's jump right into it.
2. Tea Cup: Let's begin our class firstly by deciding what kind of canvas
we are going to be used. See, we are using a simple
standard square canvas that you can find in procreate, both our pixel width
and pixel height are set at 2048 pixels. Of course, if you'd like to use any other dimensions for
a canvas, just go for it. Our DPI are set at 300 and our color profile is set as
SRGB with this low number. When it's all done,
let's just he done, we will be redirected
to our new canvas. Let's just zoom it out, so we
will see the whole canvas, and then we will need
to decide what kind of colors we are going to be using throughout the whole class. Of course, if you would like
to use your own colors, you're welcome to
go and do that. But if you want to
follow along and use the same colors that you will
see throughout the class, please go to the project and so stab and download
all the materials. Now, the first thing
that we will need to do is to change the color
of our background. Let's just go to our layers, and we will go to our
background color layer. On the bottom, you
can see you have your color palette that
you have downloaded, and we will just
need to go under palette right here
on the bottom right, and here we'll go under cards. That will be easier for
us to navigate through them because we have
all the colors names. Now, let's just up on
our background color, and we will change the
color of our background. Now, let's just get
back to our canvas and we will go to
our brush library. We'll go to the
calligraphy folder, and we will go to
the monoline brush. Also, you can just go and
make all of your lines very smooth by tweaking one of
the options of this brush. T just tap onto our monoline brush and we'll
go inside the brush studio. On the left, we'll go
under stabilization, and here on the top, we can see we have the
option stream line with a slighter amount. Basically, it is set
at a very low amount, and if you want, you can go to the drone pad and try
out how it works. You can see we are having a lot of control over this line, but our line is quite jagged. But of course, if you would like your lines to
look like that, very natural, you're welcome
to use it in that way. If you want to make
your lines very smooth, you can go to this
option amounts, you can tweak it, you can try it out onto your drawing pad. You can just go and find the
amount that works for you. Try it out maybe onto a canvas, see how it works there. If you don't like it, go back to this option
and adjust it. Basically, find
what works for you, and when you're done, let's
just go and heat done. So now when we've
prepared our brush, let's just go to our colors. Again, we'll go under palettes and we will
go under cards. Here we will use the color
with the name purple. Now when we are all prepared, let's just start creating our first element and it
will be a little cup. Let's just go and use one
option that Procreate has that will help us
to build up our cup. We will go under range icon. We will go under Canvas and
we will toggle drawing guide. Now, when we did it, you
can see we have the cells that are going through the
whole shape your Canvas, and that's not the
option that we need. We will just need to go
under the drawing guide, and on the bottom, we
will go under symmetry. Here you can see that we have just one line that is going from top to the bottom and it is going through the
center of your canvas. We are not touching anything. We are not dragging it anywhere. We are just keeping
as it is right now, and we are just going to
the top and heating down. So now everything that
we are creating on one side will be mirrored
on the opposite side, and that's exactly what we need. Now, let's just go
and make the size of the brush a little bit bigger and we will go over
one of the sides, and we will go and start creating a curve going
down in that way. Just with one line, we are creating a curve on the bottom, we are holding it, and
we are trying to make a nice connection
between these two sides. When you have
something like that, we can lift up our apple pencil and we can go over
our editing mode. When we are in the editing mode, you can see we have some nodes here. We can just go to them. We can hold our apple
pencil there and we can adjust our
sheap to our liking. Our main sheap here is to find the sheap on
the cup that we like and to make
the connection on the bottom very
smooth and very nice. We don't need to
have any gaps here. We don't need to
have any dance here, just creating a
very smooth curve. When you are overall
satisfied with your sheep, let's just go and tap on the screen to get away
from our editing modes, and then we will go and use the same option to work on the top part of
our illustration. Let's just go over
one of the sides and we will go to the top part. We will go to the side with
a little line like that. When we have this little line, we will go and we will
start creating some petals. Let's just go from
the side and we will create the first petal
going in that way. In the same way, we
will just go toward the center and we will start creating little
petals like that. You can use the
same option that we use before you can
hold your apple pencil and you can go to
the ten mode if you want to adjust your petal. Find something that you like
and remember that you will need to create the lines
without any gaps between them. Let's just go toward the center and let's create our
little petals here. When you have
something like that, let's just take a look
from the distance, and if we like everything, let's just go to this icon on the top right and we will just drag and drop the color inside. One more time,
take a look at it. Make sure that you
like this top part. If you want to adjust something, let's just go and adjust it with a little tool that
Procreate has again. We will just go to
our matric tool and we will go under liquefy. Here we can see we
have a lot of options. We don't need to worry. We'll just need to go under
push and we will go to the side slider and we will make a bigger size of the brush. With this option turned on, we will just go and push this middle part a
little bit down. So we will have a
little dam on cup. When we have the
result like that, let's just go and
deselect everything by hitting our magic tool twice. And when we have the
result like that, let's just go to the back and we will add this back
part of our cup. We will go to our color palettes and we will select
the magenta color. We will go very easily and make the size on the
brush just a little bit smaller and we will go to one of the sides again as we are
using our symmetry to, and we will start creating
the petals in the back. You can go a little bit beyond your main shape
that you have right now and start just from here and create the first petal
going in that way. You can decide how
many of them you want and how high
you want it to be. And just create the
petals going in that way. You don't need to pay
too much attention to this middle part right now because later
on we will create another element here
and it will be hidden. But of course, if you want to be very perfect with your line, you are welcome to
go and adjust it to your liking and create a
nice connection here too. Now when we have
something like that, let just drag and drop the
color in the middle part. Let's take a look
at everything here, decide whether we want to make it a little
bit higher or not. If you want to do that, let's just go and manually do that. If you are quite satisfied
with what you have right here, we are welcome to go and adjust this little part
that we have right here. On our left and on our right. So we are again using
our symmetry tool, but we will need to
go to our layers, and we will go to this layer
that we have right now. We will tap on it and we
will choose Alpha lock. When we are using alpha lock, we can paint only on the areas that we already have
onto this layer. So we will just go and use
this color that we have on the bottom to color
this little part that we have right here
that is now miscolord. Let's just pick the
color from the screen, so we will just
need to hold one of our fingers on this
color that we need. You can see if we
are moving this two, we are changing
the color on top. Let's just go to this color
that we have on the bottom. When we have the
color that we need on the top of this
eye drop it tool, we will just lift up our finger. Very easily, we will
just go with our brush and we will recolor this
little miscolred place. Now, when we have
something like that, we are ready to move on and we don't need our
symmetry tool anymore, at least for this element. So let go and
manually turn it off. We will need to go
to our range icon. Again, we're again
under canvas and we are togling drawing
guide from here. But that is not enough. We
just need to go to our layers, and you can see that our
layer number one is assisted. So just tap on it, and we will choose drawing
assist from the list. Now, when we are ready, let just continue by tapping on plus icon and
onto this layer, we will just go and start
adding the bottom part of our cap and also the
handle on the site. When we have this layer, we will just go to
our color palettes and we will select the
dark yellow color. We will go and increase
the size of our brush, and we will go to
this bottom part, and with one line, we will create a little
element like that. So hold your line in the end and let's just go into
our editing mode. Now let just take
a look at it from the distance and adjust
it to our liking, try to put it in the center, and we will just need to go and adjust the curvature
of this element. If you want to move
this element down, you just need to go to
some blank space with your Apple pencil held and move this element to the
place you want it to be. If it's not happening
from the first try, if you think that maybe you want to go and try it
out one more time, you are welcome to
go and do that. Find what works for you. Try to put it in the center
as mentioned before, and when you are done,
let's just go away from our editing mode by
tapping on the screen. Also, we can just go and zoom in our canvas
and we can see that this little part is going
to the shape of our cup. We can keep it as it is right now and we will
adjust it later on. Now when we are done
with this bottom part, let's just go to
one of the sides and let's create
a little handle. With the same size on the brush, we will go over one of the sides and we will create a
pecular shape like that. Again, you can go a little bit beyond the main
shape of your cup, and let's just go with a
pecular shape like that. Now, when we are done with the handle and with
the bottom part, let's just go and adjust the little parts
that are overlapping. Of course, if you
have something in that way and if you want
to adjust some detail. For example, you want to go to this handle and maybe move
it a little bit down, let's just go and
very easily do it. We will go to our S ribbon icon and we will use the
free hand method. We will select this
element that we want, looping this selection around, and when only this
element is selected, we will go under our arrow key. We will use the uniform
method and we will just go and position this
element to our liking. We are holding our Apple
pencil if we want to move it. If we want to ratit the shape, we'll go to the green note, we'll hold our
apple pencil there, and we will make a
rational movement. Find the placement for this
element that you would like. When you are satisfied with it, let's just hit the first
option that we were using and it was
our S ribbon icon. Now, let's just go and adjust
these little elements, so we will glue them to our cup. What we need to do is
to go to our layers, we will go to our layer with
our main shape on the cup. We will tap on it, and
we will choose Select. Now our cup is selected, and we will go to our layers. Again, we will go to our layer with these yellow elements. We will grab our eraser and we will go over the places
that we want to erase. So here is the places that
you don't want to see, and when you are done,
let's just go and deselect everything by
hitting our ribbon icon. When we are done,
let's just go and continue adding the
details to our cup. Firstly, we will
go to our layers. We will go to our
layer with the cup and we will create one
more layer on top of it. We want all of our
additional elements to appear only on the eras
that we have for our cup. Let's just clip this
layer to a previous one. We will tap on it, and we will choose clipping
mask from the list. Now, when we have
this layer clipped, we will get back to
our color palette and we will select
the magenta color. With the magenta color, we will go and decrease
the size of our brush, and we will go and
add two lines to show that our cup is a
little bit in three D. So we will firstly go to one
of the dance on the top, and from it, we will just go down with a curve
going in that way. You can hold it at the end, you can adjust the
placement of it, you can go to the Edison mode
and adjust the curvature. Try to make the nice connection
right here on the top, move it so it is
going from the dance. When you're satisfied
with this line, let just stop on the screen to get away from our editing mode, and let's just go over
the opposite side and create a similar
line there too. Again, let's just go to
the same and on our right. Again, we will go down with
a curve going in that way. Hold it at the end, go
to the editing mode, and adjust the curvature and placement maybe of
these elements. When you are overall done, let just stap on the screen
to get away from this mode. Now, let's just work a little
bit more onto this line, so we will go to our
eraser and we will go and create some
dance into our lines. You can just go and
create some pattern here. You can just go very small
dance or you can just go with a very pecular dashed
lines is all up to you. You can do it just with one line on the one side or you can go to both of them and create something peculiar
with these lines. Spend some time here and create some additional elements
going in that way. When you are satisfied with it, we will get back to ye
brush and we will go to the top part where we
have the protruding part, and we will go and create a
few lines going underneath. We will just go and
create a few lines, a few dots, just creating
little curves like that. If you want, you
can hold your line, you can go to the editing mode. If you have your line
snapped to line. Probably you will
have the option arc right here on the top, so you can just go and use it. Now let's just go
to this bottom part and create a few
additional elements. Try not to overdo
just a few of them. And now when we have
something like that, let's just go and continue
creating additional elements.
3. Bunny : We will first go and position our shapes
a little bit done, so we will have more space on the top for our
additional elements. We will need to go to our
layers and we will need to select all the layers
that belong to our cup. When the first
layer is selected, we will go to the next one and we will swipe it
from left to right. Now you can see both of them are selected
and we will need to go on top and select it two by swiping it
from left to right. When three of our
layers are selected, we will go to our arrow key. We will use uniform method, and also we will just
go under snapping and we will turn snapping
right here into our settings. When it is all set, we will
get back to our canvas. We will hold our apple
pencil at some bling space, and we will be looking
for this orange line. When we have this orange line, we will know that
we are right at the center with
our illustration, and also let go and make the whole cup a
little bit smaller. For example, let's just
go over one of the nodes, we can go over the top one in the middle and we can
just drag it down. Again, we are looking
for this orange line. When you have the size oldest
element that you like, let's just go and deselect everything by hitting our
arrow key one more time. So now when we have
the result like that, let's just get back
to our layers. When we have all these
three layers selected, let just heat group, and let just put all of three layers into the group
and we will rename it as Cp. To rename your group, we will just go to this new group title. We will tap on it, and we will choose rename from the list. Now, when we do, let tap on the plus icon and create a new layer and onto
this new layer, we will go to our color palette and we will select
the white color. With the white color, we will
go to the top of our cup. We will go a little
bit higher than this element that we
have in a p pin color, and we will just go and
create a shape of the circle. Just with one line, we
are creating our shape, holding it in the ends, and we are going over the top to our option ellipse
into our editing mode, and we are selecting
the option circle here. Now, let's just position it in a way that
we will like it. For example, let's just go and move it more
toward the lat. Again, hold our apple pencil at some blink space and
move in our sheep. Position it to our liking. If you want, you can go a little bit lower or a
little bit higher. It's all up to you. Find the position that you like. When you're ad, let just step on the screen to get away
from our Edison mode, and let's just drag and drop
the color to this area. When we did it, we
will go over the top and we will start adding the
additional elements here. Let's just go and increase
the size of our brush, we'll go over the top part, and we will create a
little element like that. Just go there and create
a little patal like that. The color inside, and
when you are done, we will go and add the ears. We can do it on the same layer
or if it's easier for you, we can go to the next layer, create a new one
and do it on it. Let's just go to our layers. Let's create one more
layer on top and let's just go and
create the first ear. Let's create the
size of our brush. We will go over our left side. Let's just create an
ear going in that way. Just create a line
going like that, and then just go down and create another curve
going in that way. If you want to adjust the sap, as we are at a, you can go to your key. You can go and move this
element to your liking, position it in a way
that you would prefer. When you're done, just tap
on your erkey one more time, and let's just go and
add the color inside. To end the color inside, we just need to close the shape, so let's just go to the bottom. Let's close the
sap and let's just drag and drop the
color to this area. Now, when we did it, let's
just go or the top part, and let's create the second ear. We will go to this little
element that we have right here are top
part or fluffy part, and we will just go from it, and we will go to the side and create another
ear like that. Let's first go and create the
first line go in that way. When we have it, we
will just go down with another curve.
Hold it at the end. If you want to adjust
it to your liking, go to the editing mode and adjust it from here if you want. If it's not happening
from the first try, try it out one more time, create the ear that
you would like. When you're satisfied with
the position of this element, create a line, go loop the shape around and drag and drop
the color to this area. Now take a look
at your elements. Again, if you want to adjust
the placement of them, go to key and adjust
the placement, when you have
something in that way, let's just tap on our key and
let's deselect everything. Now when we have
the result that we like and if we don't
want to adjust it, let's just go to our list and let's combine these
two layers together. We'll go to the layer on top, we will tap on it, and we
will choose merge down. Now, when we have the
sheep for the heat, let's create a little body. We will create one
more layer on top of our layer with our heat and we will drag
it underneath it. Holding it and dragging it down. When we have it with
the same color, we will just go to
the bottom and we will create the lines
on the sides like that. When you have these outlines, let's just go on the top and on the bottom and
connect the sheep, and we will just drag and
drop the color inside. Now we will need
to position it in that way so we are satisfied
with the whole position. For example, let's
just go to our layers. Let's select both of
these layers with our bunny and let's just
drag it a little bit down. We will go to our key. We will go down a little bit, position it to your liking. When you have the
result like that, let go and tap on our
error key one more time, and then we will cut this
part that we need to hide. Now very easily, let
go to our layers, and we will need
to do it manually. We will go to our
layer with the body. We will go to our icon, and we will change the
opacity of this element. We will just need to see what
is happening right here. When we see it clearly, let's just go and manually. With our eraser, we will
erase these little parts. With the eraser, you can use all the options that
you used before. You can create a curve, you can go to the edited modes and adjust the
curvature from here. Now, when you have this
first curve very accurately, go to the opposite side
and create another curve, make a little cut here, go to the edited
mode if you need to create a nice cut here. When you are done,
just manually go to the bottom and
erase this part, and then when you are ready, we will just go to our layers, we will go to the
layer with our body, we will go to our icon, and we will get
back our opacity. Now when we have
something like that, let's again go to our layers and let's create one more layer. You can go right between your
elements or you can just grab this layer and put it
higher than we have our heat. When we did it, we will just
go and create little pots. With the same color and
with the same brush, let's just go over one
of the sides and we will create half on the circle
or a circle like that. If it's easier for you, you can just create the shape and hide the shape for the body. To hide the shape, you will just need to go to your layers, go to the needed
layer with the body, and go to the check
mark near the letter. When we did it, let's just
get back to this new layer and let's create our p. Again, you can go and create
the shape like that and then just drag
and drop the color inside. When we have this
shape on our one side. Let's just go take a look at it, make sure that we like it. If we want to adjust
the size of it, we can just go to our key, go to the uniform
method and make it bigger by dragging
one of our corners. Position it to your liking and when you're
satisfied with it, let's just go to the bottom and let's add little fingers here. We will just go and create
little elements like that. Let's just make our size on the brush a
little bit bigger, and we'll just go and create
something in that way. Try to connect it nicely
with the mean sheep. When you have the
result that you like, let's just go to our layers and let's make a copy
of this element. When it is selected, we are swiping it from right to left and we are
choosing duplicate. When we have the second copy, we will just go to
our arrow icon. Firstly, we will go and use
the option flip horizontal. When we did it, we
will just go to our opposite side and we
will drag our sheep here. Find the placement
for the elements. When you are satisfied
with the placement, let's just go and deselect everything by heating
our arrow key. Now, let's just go
again to our list and we'll unhide our
lay with the body. We'll make sure that everything
is looking nice and we don't need to position
or reposition anything. If you want to position or reposition anything, let's
just go and do that. For example, we can just go
to the pore that we have on our left and we can move it a little bit more
toward the left. When the layer is selected, we are going to our key using uniform method and just
moving it to the site. Okay. When we are
satisfied with it, let's deselect everything and let go and work onto
the facial features. Firstly, let's go to
our layers and we will go to our layer with
the hat and above it, we will create a new layer. Onto this layer, we will go to our color palette and we will
select the dark red color. With the dark red color, we will go and increase
the size of our brush. Try onto your
illustration and decide whether you like the size
that you pick for your eye. If you want to go bigger, just go a little bit bigger. If you want to go smaller,
it's all up to you. When you found the size of
your elements to your liking, let me just go and
put the first dot. Let's just go somewhere right here and put the
first dot like that. When you have it, we will
go to the opposite side, we will try to put the
second dot on the same line. Let's just go a little bit closer to the right side
and put it in that way. If you want, you can go
and squishe them together, so you can just put a little bit closer to your previous eye. When you are satisfied with it, let's just go and decrease
the size of our brush, and let's just work on
our facial features. Find the size on the
brush that you like. Firstly, let's just go over the middle part right
between the eyes, and we will create a little
triangular shape like that. So just create a
V icon like that. You can go and hold your
apple pencil at the end. You can go to your option
of the editing mode. If you have the triangle option, just go and select it. If you have the pulley line, you can work with it too. Basically what we need is to create acute little
nose like that. When we're in the editing mode, we can just go and find a better placement
for this element. When you're satisfied with it, let's just go tap on the screen to get
away from this mode. Now, when we're
done with the nose, let's just go to
this middle part and we will go down with
a line like that. When we have it, if
we need to adjust it, we will go over our editing
mode and adjust it, and then we will just go to the bottom and we will create
a little smile like that. Again, we will
hold it at the end and we will go to
our editing mode, adjust it if we
need to and connect it with the main shape
of our elements here. Okay. Take a look at
it from the distance, decide whether you want
to adjust it or notes. If you are satisfied, let's
just tap on the screen. One more time, we'll
take a look at it, decide whether we
like it or notes. If we want to make it bigger, we can go to our S ribbon icon, free hand method,
select this element. When it is selected,
we are going to our q uniform method, go into one of the nodes, either in the middle
on the top or to the bottom and just
adjusting the shape, and maybe the placement
on this element. Find what works for you,
and when you are done, let's just go and
deselect everything by hitting the first
icon that we are using. It was our S ribbon icon. So now when we have
something like that, let's just go and
create the eyebrows. We will go right above our yes and we will create
little curves like that. Of course, if you would like
to use any other elements, maybe create different
shapes for your eyebrows, you are welcome to
go and do that. Now, when we are done
with these elements, let's just go and add the
highlights to the ice. We will pick the color
from our white elements. Let's just hold one
of our fingers, select the white color, go and increase the
size of our brush, and we will go to the ice. Let's just first go
over our left side and we will put the dog
somewhere to the top part. When we have it on one, I will do the same on
the opposite side. So trying to put it
on the same please. Okay. When we are done, let go and add the cheeks. Firstly, we will go to our color palettes and we will
select this orange color. Let's increase the
size of our brush. Just decide what size
you want to use for your cheeks and let's just
go underneath the eyes, and let's create these
dots right here. When you're satisfied
with their position, let go and add additional
details to them. For our additional elements, let just get back to
our color palettes and we will select
this pin cd color. We will decrease the
size of our brush, and we will go inside the cheeks and we will
add two lines like that. We will do it on both sides, and when we are ready, let's just take a look
at our bony and decide whether we want to move our
facial features a little bit. When we are deciding on it, let's just go to our error key, and we will just go to
our uniform method and we will drag our facial features a little bit toward the right. If you want to move them
a little bit differently, or if you want to
make it bigger, for example, you are
welcome to go and do that. If you want to ratate go to this green nodes
and ratate them. When you are overall satisfied, let just go and desolate everything by hating
our error key. Now when we did it,
let's just go and add a few more
additional elements. Firstly, let's just
go to our layers, and we will go and create
one more layer on top. We will go to this layer that
we have for our main shape. Let's just go to it and from here we will
create a new layer. Let's just clip this
layer to a previous one, tap on it and selecting
clipping mask, and then we will go to our color palettes and we will select either
dark yellow color, light yellow color or
light yellow orange color. Just select one of these colors, and let go and de
criticize of eye brush, and let's just work on
some little elements here. Firstly, let's just go to this little part
that we have on top, our little hair part, and let's just go and
add the lines to it. So we will just go and start creating a line go in that way. So just creating a petal. You can hold your
line and the end, go to the editing mode
and adjust it from here. All that we need is to create the outline for this element. When we have the
result like that, let's just get away
from our editing mode, and let's just go and add a few more petals to create
a nice little come here. For example, let's just go
with something like that. When we are done, let's just go to this ear that we
have on the bottom, and let's create the
outline here too. We will connect it with
our here elements. If you want, you can go to the bottom and create
the outline here at two. For example, let's just go
with something like that. If you need to adjust it, go to the editing mode and
adjust it from here. When you are overall satisfied, decide whether you want to
put more of this lines. For example, let's just go to
the bottom part of our hat, and let's create a
little line there too. Just going through the
whole shape, again, holding our apple pencil, go into the editing mode, and adjusting this line. You don't need to go
through the whole shape. You can make just a
peculiar line like that, that is a little bit thicker in the middle and
descending on the sides. Also you can work onto these
little lines on the top. You can just grab
your eraser and create these pointy
lines at the ends. Let's just spend some time here and create a nicer outline here. When you're satisfied
with these lines, let's just go and add the
dividers to our pause. We will go again to
our layers and we will go to this pot that
we have on the top, let's just tap on it and let's merge it with our
layer on the bottom, select and merge down. Then again, we will go and
create one more layer on top. We will go tap on it
to slipping mask, the same color that we are using right now and we will just go to the middle parts and we will just create the lines
going up in that way. Do it on both sides, and when you're
satisfied with it, let's just go and
add more details. Firstly, let's just go
again to our layers. Let's create one
more layer on top. We will go to our
color palettes and we will select this
dark red color. With a dark red color, we will just go and create
a line going in that way. We are creating a little tag of our t. Let's just go with
something like that. If you need to adjust this line, go to the arrow
key and adjust it. Connect it nicely with the sheep and when you have
something like that, let's just go to the
bottom part on this tag, and let's create a little
element like that. When you have it,
we will go again to the bottom of it and we will
continue creating a line. Just creating a little t here. When we have it, we will
go again to our layers, we will create one
more layer and we will go and select
the white color. With the white color, we will go and create a rectangle here. Just with one line, let's just go and create
something like that. Connect the shape
and then go over the top and select either
rectangle or polyline. Adjust the shape to
your liking and you can go with a little bit
wider shape on the bot. Okay. So when you have
something like that, let's just move it
a little bit down. If you want, you can go
and adjust it even more. When you're overall satisfied, let just tap on
the screen and let just drag and drop the
color inside the sheet. When we are done with this, let's just grab our eraser
and we will go to the top of this element and we will
cut the corners on the top. Do it in that way and
also let's just go to the middle part and let's create a little
element like that. When we have something
in that way, let's just go to our key and let's position
it differently. You can just play around
with the elements. All that we need to do is to create something in that way. When we have these
elements, when we like it, we will just need to go to
our layers again and we will add the additional element right here inside this little tack. Let's create one more layer. We will go to our
color palettes, we will select
yellow green color. With this yellow green color, we will just go and
create a leaf right here. Very easily just create
a shape of the leaf to your liking and just drag and drop the color
inside this shape. Adjust it with the
eraser or if you want to use the liquefied tool
and adjust it from there. So now let's just
zoom out our canvas and decide whether we want
to adjust some parts or not. So for example,
let's just go and make this tack a
little bit bigger. We will just go to our layers. We will select these two layers. We will go to our
key one more time, and we will make this whole
element a little bit bigger. Position it differently, if you want to find the placement, all these elements
to your liking, when you are done, let's
deselect everything, and also let just go and adjust this little
part right here. We will just go
again to our layers, we will go to our rope elements, we'll grab our eraser and we
will cut this little parts. So now when we have
something like that, we are ready to move
on to our next part where we will be adding some
shadows and highlights.
4. Shadows & Highlights & Beautification: Let's begin this part
by going to our layers. Firstly, we will just go to the bottom and we will find
our leer with the cup. Let's just go to the
clipped layer that we have here and we will create
one more leer on top. We will clip it
two, so let's just tap on it and we will
choose clipping mask. As we are creating our shadows, firstly, let's just go and change the blending
mode on this layer. We'll tap on our icon and we will find multiply
blending mode. For now, let's just
keep the opacity at maximum and we
will get back to our color palettes
and we will select the same purple color
that we use for our cup. When we did it, we will go and increasicize of our
brush just a little bit, and we will go to
the top part where we have this line going
through the whole shape, and we will start creating
our shadow going in that way. Again, just hold your
line in the end. If you need to adjust it, go over the top to
your editing mode, adjust it to your liking, adjust the curvature
if you need to, and then let's just go
and tap on the screen. Now, going from the right part, let's just go and create a
curve going in that way. When we have it, let's
just loop this whole shape around so we will be able to drag and drop
the color inside. When we have something
like that, let's just go over our left part, and let's create a smooth
connection right here. If you want to
adjust some parts, maybe make this whole curve
a little bit more curvy. You are welcome to
go and do that. If you want to add more shadows, you are welcome to
go and do that too. When we have
something like that, let's just get back
to our layers, we'll go to our with the shadow. We'll tap on our icon, and we will adjust the opacity. Let's just drag the slider more toward the left until
we like the result. Something around
40% will work best. When you have it,
when you like it, let's just go away
from this layer. Let's continue by
going to our layer with our handle and
the bottom part, and again, we'll create
one more layer here. We will tap on it, we will
choose clipping mask, we will go to our icon, change the blending
mode to multiply. Staying at maximum right now, going back to our color palettes and selecting dark yellow color. Let's just go to the
bottom firstly and we will just repeat the
shade that we have here. Then we'll go to the
left side and we will continue creating shadow
going in that way. When you have
something like that, let's just go to our handle and let's start adding
the shadow here. Firstly, let's just go closer to our cup and we will create
a curve going in that way. Let's recolor this area
here and let's just go to the bottom part of
this little element and create a shadow
going in that way. Also, we will just go down with the same curve and we will go and create a shadow
going in that way. Recover the areas that you
have created manually, if you have some little gaps. If you need to erase some parts, grab an eraser and erase them. When you're overall
satisfied with the shadow, let's just go and adjust
the opacity of this layer. Let's just go again
to our layers. Let's just hit our M icon, and let's find the opacity
that will work for us. Again, something
around 40% looks good. When we are done,
let's just go and start adding the shadows to
the banni that we have here. Let's just go to the body of Bani and we'll create
one more lay on top. Let's clip this layer
to a previous one. Let's just go to our I can change the blending
mode to multiply, keeping it as it is right now, going back to our
color palettes, and let's select light
yellow orange color. Let's increase the
size of our brush, and let's just put the whole
body of banni in the shadow. Okay. When we did it, let's just go to our layers, we will go to our icon and
change the opacity this layer. Again, something around 50
or maybe 45% will work best. When we did it, we will go again to our layers
and we will go to this layer that we have
for the main shape de ban. From here, we will
create one more layer. It will automatic eclipse to our layer with the heat because
we have the layer on top. Let's just go to this new layer. We'll tap on the icon, change the blending
mode to multiply. Now, let's just start by going to this ear
that we have on top and we will start by creating a curve
going in that way, very accurately connect it with the shape and then manually
recolor the rest of the area. Straightaway we can go
to our layers and change the opacity of this layer to see whether we ing it or not. Let's just set it
at 40% for now, and then we'll continue
creating our shadows. Let's just go to our ear
that we have on the bottom, and let's go to
the bottom of it, and we'll create a
curve going in that way and manually we will recolor
the rest of the area. Also, we will just go
to this bottom part of the hat and we'll create
another shadow here too. Let's just go and create a shadow just with the
first curve like that, and then manually recolor
the rest of the area. Now decide whether you want to add some shadows
to other places. For example, you can go under this fluffy part
and add it here. If you want to adjust the opacity of this layer,
you can go and do that. When you are done
with this part, let's just go and add a
little shadow on this tack. Let's just go and
find the layer. We will go to our layer with the leaf first and we will
create a shadow here. Let's just tap on the plus icon and let's clip this
layer to our leaf. Let's just go to our
multiply blending mode and we will go and select
this yellow green color. Just the size of your brush, and let's just go to
our leaf and let's create the lines that will represent some
lines on the leaf. Let's just go with
something like that. When you are done with it, let's just go to our lease and let's clean these
two layers together. We will go to our
le with our shadow, we will tap on it, and we
will choose merge down. Now we can merge our
layer with the leaf with our main layer with the tag if you don't want to adjust it. Let's just tap on the leaf
and let's select merge down. Now, we will tap one plus icon, we will create a new layer. We will tap on this
layer and we will clip it to our
layer with the tag. We'll go to our icon, change the blending
motor multiply. Straightaway, we can go
to something around 40%. We will go again to
our color palettes, light yellow orange
color and create a little shadow on the
bottom part of our tag. When we have
something like that, we are done with our shadows. Let's just go and
add some highlights. We will go to our layers and we will go above all the
layers that we have. We will create one more layer, we will go to our icon, and we will change the
blending mode to overlay. For now, let's stay at maximum, and we will go again to our color palettes and
select the white color. We'll go and increase
the size of our brush, and we will be going
to the opposite sides from our shadows and we will
be adding some highlights. You can go with any pecular
shape that you like. For example, for the cup, let's just go with
something like that. When we have these highlights, let's just go to our handle and let's just put the
highlight here too. Let's just go along all of our elements or to most of them, and let's create some dots, maybe some little lines, adding the highlights
in that way. When we are done
with the highlights, let's just go to our layers. We will go to the icon on our
layer with the highlights, and we'll go and change the opacity to the level
that we would like. When we are done with it, let's just go and maybe reposition the whole
illustration a little bit, maybe make it a
little bit bigger. We will just need
to go and select every layer that belongs
to this illustration. We are just going to
the bottom and we are swiping all the
layers that we have here. For the group, we can just
select the group in that way, and when we have
selected everything, let's just hit group here too. We will go to this new group. We will select it, we will go
to our key uniform methods, and let's just find the placement and size
for our illustration. If you want, you can go and
follow this orange line, or if you want to find a different placement
for your elements, you are welcome to go
and find it menually. When you're satisfied
with the size and when you're satisfied with the
position of your illustration, let's just deselect everything
by hitting our arrow key. Now, let's just go and add some additional elements
to the background. We will just go
to our layers and we will go and
collapse this group. Let's just tap on this little
V icon near the check box. We'll create one more
layer and we will drag this layer
underneath our group. We will hold it and we
will just drag it down. When we did it, we will go to our color palette and we will select the background
details color. We will go first
underneath our little cup, and we will create an
element like that. Just creating an ellipse, holding it in the end, trying to make it straight
on the horizontal axis. If you need to adjust it,
go over the editing mode, adjust it from here, and then let's just drag and
drop the color inside. When you are done, let's
just go around our sheep, and let's create
some peculiar sheep. When you have it, let just drag and drop the color inside, and let's just go along it and let's create a few
additional elements. Let's just go to
some of these dance and let's create the
additional elements like that. So just create some blobs, some dots, maybe some
peculiar elements. Okay. And when you're
done with these elements, let's just go again
to our layers, and let's create one
more layer on top. When we did it, we will go to our color palettes and we will select this light yellow color. Let's just go with this
slight yellow color, and let's create a few stars. Very easily just go with our brush and creating
some lines like that. You can go with any
other elements, maybe some sparkles, maybe
some other elements, you are welcome to
go and do that. Just with this color, let's go and create a few
stars of different sizes. When you are done, Lynn
just pick the white color, and again, we will go and
create a few more stars. When you are done with
adding the stars, let's increase the
size of our brush, and we will go and put a
few dots just randomly. You can go with white color, and also you can
just go and pick the same yellow color that
you used for the stars, maybe adjust the size of your brush and put a
few dots in that way. When you are done, let's
just take a look at our illustration and decide
whether we like it or not. If we like it, we are
done with our class. Thank you for
watching this class, review if you liked
it and continue subscribing for more CI
videos in the future. Looking forward to
see your projects.
