1. Introduction: Hi, everyone, and welcome to basic shape painting for beginners in Procreate. In this class, we are going to focus on one of the most important foundations of digital painting shapes. Before diving into complex illustrations, learning how to turn objects and paint using simple shapes can dramatically improve your skills and make the entire process feel more procutable. This class is perfect for beginners who are just starting out Procreate or anyone wants to strength their fundamentals. You don't need to be good at drawing. Everything will do based on simple forms, circles, squares and triangles. We will begin by understanding how to break down objects into basic shapes, then gradually build those shapes into more defined forms. You will learn how to use color and color shifts, light, and shadows. By the end of this class, you will not only feel more confident using Procreate, you will develop a stronger eye structure. Let's get things simple, fun, and creative, see you in the class. 2. Start Building Shapes: Welcome. In this video, we will paint realistic basic shapes. At first, I will start with the ellipse. I will paint ellipse here. And I will open new layer and we select smooth shading brush, and we use middle tones of red and totally will paint it like this. And after this, I will open another new layer under this layer. And I want to paint rectangle here, just like this. And I want to make it green and I paint it like this. And I want to make it tready so I will swipe left and duplicate here like this. And this duplicate it will be a Alpha Look, and it will be much more darker. And after this, you can open another rectangle here just like this and make it much more a like this and select this torch and connect these parts of the just like this. It is a bit tricky, but you will make it. I trust you. And after this, I will go to this layer and we make it line like this. Okay. I will paint it. It is right. And I want to paint one ellipse here just like this. And I want to make it a bit yellow and another oh 1 second. I will open it here, and this ellipse will be here. Just like this and we'll paint it to yellow and we'll put it here and duplicate it and move it to here and make it uniform and smaller. And after it, you can select some very smooth line to make movement like this. And after this point, 3. Painting Details: Can 1 second. You can Oops, 1 second. Sorry. You can paint inside it. Yeah, just like this. And I will connect the layers and this one. Now we have three object. Let's start from the red and make it Alpha Lock and go over here, and we will have light comes from the left top. So this place will be darker, just like this. And maybe much more dark area here. And these parts of the bowl have really vibrant look. And for this object, this corner should be really darker because bowl is closing the light over here, and maybe even we have shift to the red color because it reflects and just like this. And these parts can be much more darker but not so much. You can adjust it depends on your choice. And this tab will be really, really light because light comes from this part. And the yellow one will be the same. For example, this part is in the dark and these parts are really dark and maybe even this corner will darker here like this. Just like this. And I will collect every layer and will open another new layer under them. So we put shadows. There will be really strong shadows here. And depending on the light source, of course. And I want to paint another layer over here and select the rectangle tool we'll make it like this and make it a blue and select distort and connect the top of it, just like this. And Alpha lock it again and select darker tones here. And maybe much more darker tones here to turn the object here. And the rod, we will have shadows again, just like this. And I will also make it much more, even bigger. And let's make it the background here, just like this. And after it, for example, if the background, I mean, foreground is whiter, it will be better this. And the light source is here comes from this part directly, and affecting all things. And imagine if we have another light source, but not so much. Let's think about it. For example, we have some bluish light source here. And it means we have blue shifts over here. Well, we like this, maybe not so much, but a bit much more here. We will have tons of it. Again, thank you for joining me in this tutorial and see you in the next videos. 4. How to Paint Simple Rendering: Welcome. In this painting, we will paint some free hand design and like geometric object. But it will be some experimental. For example, I will make this shape and open another shape in it just like this and connect the shapes. Maybe this part will be much more lighter. And Okay, I will change this. Open the rectangle and make one red and play with the distortion and make it much more bigger here and much more smaller on this side and move it to a bit much more left and open rectangle under it, and place it here just like this and make it much more lighter. And the left part will be Alpha ok, and I will make this part much more darker. And as you can see, we got really great realism here. And I will open another new layer under it and we add some shadows under it, like touch shadows. Just like this. Hope you enjoy this process and see you in the next video. 5.
