2. Open Photoshop for the first time: Let's take a few moments to familiarize ourselves with Photoshop interface. I'll start and bridge and double-click on this image to open it in Photoshop. Now, across the top, our menu items and Photoshop groups them together by topic. For example, type, select, fitter, anything related to filter, it's under top. Now, all the tools are on the left-hand side and then hover your cursor over the tool. You see a tooltip, which are great lawyer animations that explain how the tool works. However, as you get more advanced, you might not want to see these. All right, so let's go to Edit preference and tools. And you can disable the Suri tooltip. Just keep the tooltip because it's very useful. If Press, Okay. Now if I come to you and how I my mouse here that tilted, that just kept it enable. It is going to show the name of the tools that I'm hovering a look for that tool wherever and then, and that's Rich Tooltips as we options for that tool. When you select a different tool, the options for that tool are going to appear in the Options bar. When you select an option. When you select a tool, the options for that tool just going to appear on the Option bar here. Just take a look. As you see when I change the tool. Options here are changing as well. In the center, we have the image preview, which we see the image that working on. Basically, this is our artboard. At the bottom, we see a bit of information. If I click here, I can change the information based on size of the image. And document dimension is the best. Because we see the documents size actually and the DPI for the image, which is pretty useful for print. There's a lot of panels on the right side and we don't need them, like learn, just right-click and close the tab. Group. Libraries began right-click, close tap Group. And now we have more space. If I press Z on my keyboard and drag the mouse to the right and live, I can zoom in a bit. And this is the Move tool. Sometimes it photoshop is a small, I mean, if I double-click here is going to be like this. So by double-clicking at the top, I can just see the Photoshop, not other applications. You can also change the color theme of the interface. Press Command or Control K, which is the preference. Now let's go to the interface and color theme. I can make it darker or totally white and a bit grayish. And this was the default actually. Now, here's the cool part, looking at the highlight color, which is basically by default is gray. Sometimes I can't see it properly. Which layer I'm really selected. So come to default and put it in blue. Now, it's more pop. This is actually what I use most of the time. Here, the cool part in Photoshop, if I hold down Control Alt, Shift and click on these little icons, I can just see some animation. It's like a game. That's all. I mean, it's funny. Photograph has that. All right. Let's go back to Photoshop and click. Okay. And sometimes I want to change the artboard Color just right-click and the right side, ground Arthur color. And default it is colleague can put it on black or dark gray and light gray. And even the custom, you can make it totally worked. And which is good for Instagram and social media that has white background. If I want to put an image to a white background or basically work on the white artwork. So this was the default and I'm just going to keep it that way so you guys can change it. One of the cool things in Photoshop that you guys want to learn is command and control. F. What is it? It's a search bar. You can search anything. Yeah, like if you're looking for oil paint, just type here oil and just see the oil paint is a pure is telling us, which is in the filter is stylized and old paint. You don't need to go there. Just double-click year, you just one click. And this is going to be appear and you can add your failure editing. Again, can I control F? And this time type level C, this time called brightness, anything that you're looking for, it's searchable in Photoshop and you can easily find it. And I can press Escape or dislike or icon here to close that up or click outside easily. So most of the time, some of the tools in Photoshop or doesn't work in properly. I mean, if I go back here, I see this, it doesn't work properly. So, uh, come here and right-click on this little icon and reset the tool is a tool just resetting just these tools. But reset all tools that resetting all the tools in Photoshop. And then Photoshop is basically going back to default factory or right now you get familiar with Photoshop interface. Let's go to the next video to working with multiple arguments.
3. Zoom in & Zoom out in Photoshop: Let's begin in Bridge. Select the image in order to open them in Photoshop. I'm holding down Control or Command and click on this icon to add and disable and enable the flow. And right now I press Command or Control 0. And wearing to open this in Photoshop as you see images, or open up in tabs in Photoshop. And I can click and drag it to this straight line to the left and switch between this and two. It's easy. Drag it and put it this way. So this is the first one that's, it's secondary. If all what does he, both of the images together. I can go to Window and arrange and title or vertically. Look. Windows, Arrange, tile horizontally. So basically most of the time works like this vertically. And if I go back, I can arrange and consolidate all the tabs. And if I wanted to float a window, I can just click and drag it out. Now I can put it on secondary monitor. I have to because sometimes I'm working on a specific artwork and Anita keep eye on another image or a sample image. Now I can put this and drag it, put it in another monitor and working on this one and bring it back. I'm just going to click Edit tab and drag it and drop it here. You see the blue line and just let it go. And that's it. Now, there's a lot of way to zoom in and out in Photoshop. If a good to view and zoom in, Command or Control plus zoom-out clinical term minus fit to screen grammatical tool is 0 and 100 percent view command one. Now press Command plus c. It's so many. And we'll learn again, come out of control and command minus and a keyboard. Or press Z on your keyboard and drag with the mouth tracked right and left. Zooming in and zooming out. If it's 32 zooming. If you press Command or Control, 0 is going back to the default image size, then that's basically it. If I zoom in, if I hold down space, you see this hand and moving around up, down anywhere. Again, it's zooming. I'm going back. Again. I'm just going to move up and down, holding down the space bar. And that's it. And one of the cool features in Photoshop is that this one guys come here. If I click here, I can see the full screen mode. And basically the shortcut is F, press F on your keyboard and you can increase the view size, but you miss all of this, right? You don't see anything on the right and deaf. If you press tab, you can just bring them back as tab again. And I can work on your artboard. Press Tab again. You can bring back all the tools and press F to bring back everything. Because sometimes we need more space, especially when you're working with your laptop is 14 inch laptop and you will have lot of space. So press F on your keyboard to times. If you have any tools, press Tab, pick up your tools. Began work on your Artboard tab again. And it can go back and use this decking loud when he had a laptop in my college. So it's really helpful. Photoshop has a lot of panels which are in a Windows actually. If come to Window and click on, for example, gradient, you can see all the gradient here. So if I go back to window, you see the gradient, there is a checkmark here. And I had come to histogram. Now, if I go back to histograms checkmark as well. So because it shows that here, there's a lot of stuff. If looking for info can go back to Windows ie, the info is checkmark as well. Libraries, anything that you're looking for are basically an a window panel. So you don't miss anything actually. And the other thing is working space. Sometimes by default you're in essential default, which basically because I changed this to this way. So I can go back to window and see the essential default. I can reset essentials. Everything going back to normal. Again, workspace, graphic and web is going to be like this. Window again. Workspace and motion. As you see by default, Photoshop is changing your artwork and panels. If you're looking for painting, this is going to be your default panels and you can also change it. I can come here and I can add, for example, the character. And even though it's appearing here, I can drag it and drop it here. Basically, you should be at a deep blue sign here. So here we go. Drag this up a bit from. So I can change this actually sphere. You can change this one, but I cannot change this one. It's weird, right? No problem. Let's go to Window and again, bring back the properties. I can put the properties here as well. And I'm just going to click it and drag it here and put it here. If you don't like this, go back to window, workspace and reset painting. So Editing going back to normal and default. So by default I'm just going to come back here and put it on photography. See, we have libraries, adjustment and everything. So adjustment is all adjustment layers that you are looking for, which I'm just going to show later. Anytime I want to work on this image after check off this lock and just click on it. And it's just going to go away. And now we can work on this layer. The other cool thing is sometimes I just come here to the workspace and looking for essentials. Essentials, right-click and close a tab again, right-click and close it out. So everything is cool. I'm just going to keep it on properties is fine. Then I like this one and save it. So anytime I'm just going to go back, I want to be like this. So go to Window, go to Workspace and new workspace. I'm just going to call this solely arts. And click Save. Now if I go to workspace, I have something called solely art. See, let's go to graphic. Let's go to Window, and let's go back to the earth. So again, this is basically the default setting that anytime we're just gonna go back to Photoshop, you just going to be saved here. So we don't need to change it every time that we are going back to Photoshop.
4. Resize and Save images: Alright, why we use Photoshop? Most of the time for beginners. We need to resize an image and save it. So how we do it, just click on this icon here. To resize an image in Photoshop. Let's go to image and click on Image Size. And I can move around here. And this is the percentage. You can tell Photoshop, I want to be 50 percent is smaller and this is going to be smaller. I want this tele person or smaller. Or I need to be specific in pixel inches, centimeter, millimeter points, picas, and columns. What about pixels? I'm looking for a site, something like 1920, which is basically like your video format. And by default, you have to be make sure this is checked. It means every time I change this width number, for example, 2000, and the height is going to be changing dramatically. So 1920. And this is going to be the default. And just take a look at the image size. It's seven and megabyte reader. So when you change this, you can see the dimension here as well. So this is can be inches, can be centimeter, millimeter, and anything that your client and you want, just press Okay. And you see the document is getting smaller. And this is the size that you are looking for a new bond. Now, to save this, go to File. Save As. Now. You can save it as a small size, as a PSD file, or can come here to Save As type. Look for g pig, or look for PNG. Why PNG? Jpeg? Because most of the time we use this format for social media, YouTube and cover image, a lot of stuff. What if I want to print something? If you want to print it, put it on t. If t i, f, which is the best format for print. Or you can put it on PSD file. Because sometimes if you save it as PSD file, I sent the print shop. They don't have the font that I used in this PSD. And the font is just going to be changed. Everything is just going to be screwed. That's why Google and tooth. So it's not changeable actually when you print it or you put it on PDF as possible, or EPS for print. But most of the time use it and we put it on JPEG or PNG file. And that's gonna be it. The smallest IJ JPEG and click Save. Well, it's just going to be open. The quality you have maximum, medium, high, and low. So put it on maximum. You can just drag down and you can see the image preview just going to be 760 K. And the right, It's three meg. So sometimes there's a lot of website that they don't allow you to put an image size above one meg. So I have to bring it down below one meg. Now, I can click, Okay, but for now I'm just copy it on premade and press Okay. So now you guys know how to resize the, how to save a file, which is the most important thing in, for you wanted to save this footprint. But what about the quality? The quality is going to be like this. If I go back to image and image size, the resolution here is 72, which is basically for print should the tree is 200 resolution. So make sure your image is always under 300. For print. Then you can press, Okay. So when you change the resolution and you put it on 300, we can go to File Save As, and save it again. If it's footprint, put it on tiff, and it's going to be fine. And send it to the printer. In editing is fine. Just press OK and OK.
5. How to Use Crop Tool: Have to crop image in Photoshop very fast pursuing your keyboard. And you see these handles. You can just drag and drop and just resize it. Even want to keep the proportion, just hold down Shift and just drag it and just going to be a scale at the same size. So we don't lose the proportion. But can go up here to the ratio and pick up something like four by five, which is the Instagram. And if we want to switch it, just click on this little icon here. We can switch with the width and height because it showed it to 16 by 9. Again, such it. This is going to be the Instagram story. And one by one, which is the square. If I hold here and just drag it down, my mouse is going to move around and pick a very interesting area that I'm really looking for, maybe this area. And I said, I want this one. Just check this out. If this option is checked, if I press OK, I lose everything from the outside. But if I uncheck this and I press Okay, the checkmark, look, still, if we go back to the move tool, I can go around. I still have my image, which is, this is very cool. Again, press C on your keyboard, and these should be always unchecked. Now, I press Enter to bring back everything from the outside. Well, as if I click on this little icon here, I can just click on the Opacity and drag this down to see more or can bring it up to make it darker. And I can just change this. If I change something and both handled or moving around, I have to click. Unclear. If you click on Clear, then you can just move it around just side by side. So each side is going up and down. So make sure always this is unchecked. And what else do we have here? We have the cycle. Mean I can put it on this way or agreed, then I can work better. Make sure this is exactly in the center. Look, grep. I'm always working better to finding the perspective. And click Okay. And this is exactly what I wanted in CO2.
6. First Project Photo Collage: Working with layers in Photoshop is very easy. This create this letter poster. Just click Command Control N on your Photoshop and make sure the pixel is 19 Kearney height 1080. Resolution 72 is fine. Now press Okay. We have this far. Now for a star, just check this off, this luck. Now I can go to my Lightroom or any images that you have. Just bring some images to Photoshop. I'm just going to click on this one or lung control. Click on this far. And this one, and we control this one, the waterfall. I'm looking for the boat and this one as well. Click on this one as well. Hola control. And I'm just going to drag all of this and go to Photoshop icon at the bottom and just let it go one-by-one. Just going to be up here. I'm just going to press Enter once. 234. Now, just take a look at here. If I check this off, I guess it the layer below it, turn it on again. This is going to be on top, is going to be like a stamp, like a stack of books on top of each other. The top book just going to be should actually here, I'm just going to take off that book. The second one can see the below, and then this off, I can see the first one here that if you now click on the top layer and drag it down, hold and drag it down. You see this line here, the blue line, just let it go. You just going to be at the bar, press Z, zoom back a bit, press V for the move to Command or Control T to escape this image. If I hold down Alt and Shift to get there, and it just come here and drag this. I can make this image a bit larger from this center. Actually, if I hold down Shift and drag it, I can just keep the size and proportion perfectly. All right, Now, it's perfect. Just going to drag this down a bit. I'm just going to let go. Image this one. I'm just going to drag it and put it here. This one is going to be selected and I'm just going leave it at the center. And this one again, Let's see. I can just click and drag it and put it to the right side. I want to make this the same size, the same window. We have something he'll call frame to. Just click into frame 2. And this one is this hold down shift and click and drag. Look that image. It is going to goes inside that frame. How cool is that? One was our first going to click on this pixel. This image, hold down Shift and drag and click again. This one. Hold down Shift, come here again and click and drag until this same site is either lies, they are the same size and let it go. Just going inside. Now, if I double-click inside, I can move this image around. Even if I press Control T, I can make this image the smaller. Look. And I can move it around and present them. And how clue that. What about this one? If I just double-click again, go inside, it means this one is selected. Now I can make it a bit up. You cannot control tee, drag it. If I don't hold Shift H is going to be like this. It means my image proportion is changing and it's going to be weird. So as come up with rosettes, anytime I press Command or Control T, I have to hold down shift and move this to make the proportion is steady. And Photoshop 2020 one, by default, you don't need to hold down Shift. If you move, this is just going to be like this. This because I used to it. Always hold down shift, I change it to be holding now shift. All right. Now, what if I want to change the size of this frame? Just go back and click on this icon. Then you can just change the size. Now press Command Control Z. And if I click outside, I'm just going to come back here. What if I want these three to be equal between them? As you will learn, shift. Just click on a top layer. Three of them are selected. Now, now, click on this little icon here. So if you click the size of this tree, decides between them is going to be equal. Now, when you see this red line, it means three of them are center. I'm just going to drag it up. So this corner size and this one is just going to be equal as well. So everything is equal. Now, let's click on this background layer, this one. I'll make it a bit blurry. Let's go to filter blur and Gaussian blur. So the background is blurred so you can change the radius to make it a bit blurry. Because we want these three images to be more pop that. Let me just click on this little icon here and move this up a bit. Now, this is much better. By if I click on this little icon here, I don't want to see this. See if they click, just going to be more organized. Now, have two of them. I can add text. I can add a stroke. If I come here and click on this little icon, the first one, what I see is a stroke. If I click on this icon, this is, it means no stroke. If I click on the white color and I come here and change the stroke and make it a bit larger, maybe ground 7. Just going to be appeared here. What I want to, again, click on the color, make sure is white, the pixel it's severed and press Enter. The second one, the same thing. Color seven pixel. Present them. Now, this is going to be inside. We can also add this in the center or at this from the outside, from the outside of the image. Look the difference between these three. So most of the time is better to be outside because we don't want to lose the inside of our image. So I'm just going to carry all of these, go back and put it on either side. The same thing on the outside. And how cool is that? To sit better, always predicting the background. Now, if I zoom here, I see the difference. This May 1 be the stroke is changing, is a bit different. Just going to click on this. Yes, It's rook is eight. Good, Seven, and click Okay. Now, if I go back in the background, I can see the size is the same. Now, press T on your keyboard to write something. Just going to click. And make sure this size is large. If it's small or large. Ritual the size is maybe 100. And call her lung shift, press, boat. Look the color here. I can change it to white. And I can again just come and put it in the center. When you see the red line, just let it go the boat to duplicate it, just drag it and drop it to this plus sign. Now, hold down Shift and drag it to the right to see this red line, let it go, double-click on it. And I'm just going to call this waterfall. Here. You can use it in any font, doesn't really matter. I'm just come here, maybe. Helvetica. All right. Cool. Let's just drag this and is tracked is the trashcan. Have this alphabetical, I like it press Command or Control J. Tract is to the left. It's going to call this double-click on it. Hold down Shift to be the capital B. Both. Hold Control and click and the waterfall. So you can select it, then press Command or Control J to duplicate it and hold down Shift and drag it to the right. I call this Sunrise. If I click on the boat, the first one, right? And click on this little color here. This is the properties. If you don't see it, go to Window and click on Properties. Then you can see here these properties. Sometimes it's here, just drag it and put it in between. Then you can see the properties here. Just contract this up a bit. So I'm in a boat and it's going to drag this. Maybe. I'm just contract. I just meant a political year as well. So have more room for my layer so I can see all my layers. Click on the boat, the boat. And let's go to Properties. Drag this down a bit. Drag this up. I don't need the color for now. Click on the color. So the color picker is just going to show up. Now if I come outside, can come and just pick something in image, maybe something like this. That's the kind of the boat musical. Leave it like that. Now, if I double-click here on the right side of this boat, delirious, they're just going to show up. I'm just going to add a stroke to it. Look this stroke. If I click on this stroke, I can see the size can be larger. It can be very low. I'm just going to click and type 3. It's outside, right? It's fine. Okay. Let's go to waterfall along Control or Command, and click on the waterfall and bring this up. So it's a smaller click here. Let's look for a cool color. Maybe this one, or maybe be whiter. Alright? Okay. They're looking at Writer. Go to Layer Style. Make sure the stroke is active and automatically just going to be, remember the tree size from the previous one. Press Okay, this go to Sunrise. We can color this May 1 be a bit. Orange color. Click Okay. Now we'll click again, click on stroke, and that's it. Now you guys learn how to quickly work with layers and even create a cool and interesting posted in Photoshop.
7. Auto Color, Auto Contrast ,Auto Tone: You can do this in one-click in Photoshop. In Photoshop with one click, you can create automaton or Auto Contrast or water coloring. And therefore there's going to be amazing in 1 second. All right, let's see how it works. I'm just going to delete all of this. And just Command or Control J. Check this off these two. I'm just going to call this. Go to Tony. And how it works. When you select the layer, you have to go to image. And the first one is Auto Tone just on it. And check this out. Look before and after, right. The second one. I'm just call this Auto Contrast. Let's go to Image Auto Contrast already. Wow, cool is that. And the next one is watercolor. Let's go to image and click on Auto countering. Look how cool is that. You can apply three of them in one single image. Right now we have auto coloring. Now let's go to image and click up at the contrast. You see has more contrast to it. And the toning. I mean, you don't see a difference. You have to see it in a for K or print. But trust me, it's a lot of difference. Look before and after. And how cool is that? Let's go to another dimension like a very, I'm just going to press Command or Control J three times. Take this off. The first one is going to be the tone and look before and after. What about this one? Let's go to image. But the contrast. Wait for it and just take a look. Awesome. And the third one, image. And if you don't see it, It's cool. It means I'm not selecting the layer. Select this layer, the top layer image and the color. Wait for it. And awesome. Just take a look of the color and look at the difference in the color. This is much better actually, I mean about coloring and this is about contrast and is about toning. And how cool is that. We'd want single click in image or to turn Auto Contrast to color. You can create amazing photo and don't forget, by the end of each video, you have to download the project files and do some practice.
8. Why Use Vibrance Saturation no Hue and Saturation for Protecting the Skin tone: Why use vibrance saturation, hue and saturation. Saying this lesson, I'm just going to show you why. All right. I'm just going to drag this to drop into the trash can and go to Adjustment Layer and click on hue and saturation first. Because we are going to work on saturation. Look at this image is a bit off, but right now I'm just going to increase the saturation to the right. But the problem is everything is going to be saturated and bring it down. The still, I want these to be more, but the skin tone less. That's the problem with hue and saturation, is going to affect even the skin tone. And we can turn this off. Let's go again to Adjustment Layer and click on vibrance. Now, check this out. I can increase the saturation a bit. And also I can increase the vibrance almost the same as the saturation. And take a look. Look. This one, this is before and this is after. And skin tone is normal. But take a look at hue and saturation. You get this king gone. If I click here, I can drag this back, is still even. I keep it here. Because I need this to be more saturated. I mean, take a look at here. Ten is our attendees are the same thing, but skin tone is protected. Even I can play around the desk window. I can bring it back. I can increase this one a bit and take a look here, look at this. Saturated. But given this into right now it more saturation and vibrance area. There were brands in, bring back the skin tone. And how cool is that? That's why if you're working with varying or couple or any kind of photos that has portrayed it has a skin to it. You have to use a wide brand saturation, nuts, hue and saturation. Alright, now let's go to the next image. The same thing. Just go to Adjustment Layer and click on vibrance. Now, just play around with the vibrance. A bit saturation that much. And that's it. It's fine. We can just add some more or drag this back. The vibrance saturation, moreover, the skin tone less. And take a look, the green and just before and after. And just take a look at this skin tone. Everything is normal. That's why you have to use always the vibrance and saturation. If you have skin tone in your picture, as usual, you have these images. So you have to do some practice before you go to the next video.
9. How to Use Level Adjustment: What is level adjustment and how to use it. All right, if you come here at the bottom, you see these adjustment layers icons and just find the level icon here. All right, I'm just going to click here. And at the top we have separated adjustment, which is called level. This level is just going to affect everything below it. For now. Just take a look at here. We have two part, the top part and bottom parts. The top part, we have three little icon here. If I drag this left icon and drag it to the right, just take a look at here. Let's see what happened to the dark side and image. Look. I'm going to drag it to the right and the dark point is affecting the gray to the right. Look. And I'm making this more black, pure black edge. What about the right side? I'm dragging the highlights, the left, the highlights, and the dark part to the right. So we can make our image darker and brighter. If I drag the left part dark side to the right and the highlight to the left. I'm adding contrast to my image. Now I can refresh it and get back to normal. What about the bottom part? Before I explain the bottom part, let me explain this one. This one is gradually adding whites and to the right, gradually adding black to the highlights. Look, I'm adding black gradually. And the lift from adding white to my image, I'm just going to refresh it. What are the bottom part? The output level? Here is a very important look. If I drag this black part to the right, I'm adding pure black to the right. What I mean is, I'm just going to explain this is the pure black. Now I'm just going to tell my image. The pure black is this one, this gray? This is my purest black in our image. So I don't have anything more than this black. Now, if I drag this to the right, I'm adding these black, these kind of gray to the right and look. But if I drag this to the left, now, this is going to be affected. Look, there's a difference. So I'm just going to tell my image to, this is going to be your purest black, this gray. And I can do the same with the white. My widest point in my image is going to be this white. So if I drag this to the left, I'm adding these white to my highlights. And this is so-called. We can do a lot of things and parameters. For example, if I bring an image here and just take a look, if I drag the top one to the right, I make my black a bit blacker and the white point or the highlights to the left. So I'm adding contrast domain image. Now, take a look. I'm just going to tell it the purest black shouldn't be that black. I want to see a bit of gray to it. So it's going to be a little foggy like moody. Look. Just going to drag this to the left and drag this to the right. This is going to be moody morning image. You see a lot of image that the plaque is not that black, is kind of gray. So how they do it, this is exactly how do you do it. You're just going to tilt the image. Black shouldn't be go further. This is my final black or this gray. Now, even I play around with this. I'm not going to get more than this black, but I can tell you can add more black to it until I'm satisfied with my image. This is so cool and you can do a lot of stuff at it. Another cool thing about level is the RGB channel. I can just change the red to CMYK. So C is cyan for the Red Sea, M, G, M, magenta, blue, yellow. So C, M, Y. See why cyan magenta yellow. So just remember that. So if I click on read and drag this from left to right, I'm adding cyan to it. So if I drag this back, if I drag the right is slightly to the left, I'm adding red to my highlights. So it's going to be moody morning. Reset it. Let's come to green. If I drag it left to right, I'm adding magenta. And take a look at here. If I drag the right to left, I'm adding green. It's green. Resets. And what about the blue? Left to right? I'm adding yellow. Look, let's go back. Now. I'm adding more blue to my image. We also can add a moodier style to it. When I'm in blue. Check this out. Because the darkest point is this gray. I'm adding the darkest point should have this blue. That's why is getting more interested. There is a lot of preset that we can create with this level. Let's go back. Now, write a slider to the left. It's going to be more yellowish to my image. That's why level is very, very important in Photoshop. And you can do a lot of stuff at it. Do some practice, and make sure you get really good at it.
10. Master Hue and Saturation: What is hue? Saturation and lightness? Hue is what color saturation is, how much color and likeness is brightness of color. Now, let's bring up the hue and saturation. Let's go to Adjustment Layer and click on hue and saturation. Now, this is the best way of having the hue and saturation because we have a separated layer. There is another way you can go. Let's select this one. Let's go to Image Adjustment and he unsaturation. The problem with this method is any change that we do to this image is going to be affected and we cannot change it later. So I'm going to cancel this. So now we have a separate layer. What I said is hue is what color? Let me show you. Let's be here. This is hue, saturation and lightness. Now I'm just going to double-click here, and I'm just going to bring this down so you guys can see exactly why me look, just take a look at this rectangle part. We have a hue, saturation and brightness. If I drag this up and let me just put this here and just take a look at this color and it's changing. I'm dragging up this slider and see the color is gradually going up. And see if I stay here. Each color has an exact number. This hue is 227. If it come down, the number is changing, so the hue is changing, the color is changing. So each color has a number. So here is, what is the color. And the colors are number. This saturation is how much color? Now, take a look at here. The blues gradually adding to our image. And the top one is high saturated. And how much color is saturation? What is brightness? Take a look from black. We are adding light to the blue and you have these totally white and bright color of blue. So hue, I can change it. Saturation. How much color and brightness, how bright is the collateral day? And what I mean hue. The cool thing is I can change the saturation. If I go left, the saturation is 0. Just take a look at here. And if I'm going to write dissociation a 100 percent, and for the brightness, I'm going up and down. If I go up the brightness a 100 percent. If I go down, the brightness is 0. And if I come right, the saturation, a 100 percent, left, 0, right? A 100 percent. Just take a look at it. It's like game. Now the saturation, unsaturation. If I go left to right, I can change the hue. If I go up and down, I can change the brightness. If I come to brightness and left to right. Let me change the brightness of the color left to right is changing the hue, the saturation, up and down. But most of the time we are here, so we play just with the UV, always under hue. So our changing the color, choose my color. Now, I can tell it to be this kind of saturated and the brightness up and down. Maybe I'm looking for the scholar. So this is how we find the color. Now let me press Okay, because I don't need anymore. Now let me explain this property, the hue and saturation property. Let me go to New Image. Now. Let's go to Adjustment layer and bring up the hue and saturation. And this panel is going to be epi or hue saturation and lightness. With the saturation, I can change it, can drag it to the right and see the problem with increasing the saturation is, is going to increase every single pixel in our image. That's the problem. And I can reset it with this little icon here. So I don't want to increase it that much. Maybe like this. Most of the time. Why you use hue and saturation, because we want to change a color. That's why we use it. So let me show you how there's a little hand here. If I click on this little hand, lets me, maybe you want to change this red pepper, right? Let me click on it. If you click on it, it just going to be read by default was master. But when I clicked on it and just picked a color, let me go back again. Let me just pick a handler or a hand and just, I'm just gonna go here and just going to be read. It is going to be recognized by the program. And just take a look at this bar. The top bar is showing me you selected the red and the bottom line. You just going to be what color you want to change it to. So let me change, see the color has changed to yellow. And to be it'd be purple is nice. Look. The bottom is purple. All initiates, maybe blue is going to be nicer. But the problem is, is affecting everywhere. There's a lot of where that is affecting. Look, there is a handle layer, there is two handles, the distributor handlers. I can control each part. So let me show you again. Let me reset it. We just want to selecting this little color. So maybe you just going to be African here and also here. How we can select it. Reset. Let's put this little hand and let me just click on this red color. Now, drag the hue to the right. Drag the saturation to the right. Right. Now, just take, take a look at these parts. I'm just going to move around until this is going to be selected only this is going to be two. So I'm just going to go around maybe here. Now. I can play around with these little things and connected to it closer and maybe this. So this is going to be on the selected look and read this little insight. I can increase it gradually. It's not going to be that sharp is like a feather. I can increase it with this little feather. Let's go back. Still this part here. This is cool. It's still, we can work on it. Let me just bring back the saturation to 0. And now we can play around with the hue. And easily, they're red color is changing too purple color to any color. So just have a problem here. In this part right? Now, you can increase these little things. You can play around with this until you get something cool. So it's not this one. Is this part. Nutrition play around with. So I'm playing gradually to add in this part. Look actually is very easy. I mean, is going to be like this. Now. I'm changing it. I'm changing the color. If you see the color is affecting somewhere because of the light reflection. You can just because we have a mask here and press D on your keyboard. So this is going to be default. If you press D or you make this black and white, press B on your keyboard for brush do. And this is white. Now, you can mask it out. Can mask this areas as well. So be more clean. The area that is affected. And let's go back here and just take a look. What was this one? And because I use mask, let me just disable the mask. This is a cool part here. Many going out and you're going back and this, the mass there is going to be selected. If, let me just press Command or Control Z to three times. If you want to go back to the setting that you have changed, you have to select these and you have to go to red. Now the default is changing and you can change this as well. So that was a trick. If I go back here and again, click on hue and saturation. So this is a very cool tip guys and nobody knows actually, and nobody knows how to handle. If I go and select another layer and I'm coming back to my hue. And saturation by default is mass that is selected. So you shouldn't change anything. Click on the master and go to rich channel. Because we changed the red channel and it's going to be remembered our setting. Now I can change anything. Cool. So that was it. What else we can learn here? Never, ever, I'm just going to reset it. Never ever play around with let me not to set it for now. To me. Back to red. I'm not going to reset it because we had this little selection. I'm just going to show something. Get never play with lightness in master. So in master you shouldn't change anything, so everything should be messy here. So all these, the lightness in master mode should be on 0. If a go to red channel or any other channels. Now I can play with lightness, just take a look. I can make these darker or I can make it totally white. And how cool is that? This is how we create a snow in our image. This is how we create a lot of snow stuff in artworks and lot of programs, you know, like mapping and other stuff. So the likeness should be on a channel. And sometimes it's cool to have these kinda color. And again, increasing the dosage or maybe even less. You can play around with the color and the, just take a look at it. How beautiful is that? So that's why the lightness in, inside the master is very powerful. And we use it a lot for changing a lot of stuff to different colors. Now you have these fires, we use hue and saturation a lot and make sure you get really, really good at it. And then go through next lesson.
11. How to Use Layer Mask: What is Layer Mask? Layer Mask control, visibility, what area is visible and what area is not visible. Just come over here and you see this little icon here. This is layer mask. Just click on it. So we are adding a layer mask to this layer. Now. Take your brush, right-click and brush tool. Take your brush and just paint over it. Just make sure this is black. So black we are painting and this little white canvas because you want to see the layer below it. This is exactly like erasing. But why we use Layer Mask, why not erase it? Let me show you why. Let me right-click and delete the layer mask. Press E on your keyboard, so the eraser tool is activated now and just simply paint over it. If you do a mistake, there is no way you can fix it. That is exactly why we use a layer mask guys, press Control Z, come over here, click on the layer mask, make sure the foreground color is black and just paint over it so it's not working. You know why? Because we are not underbrush. Make sure the brush is selected. Now, paint over this area. I want to make this area a bit purplish. So how we are getting this purple color because of the layer below it, this is like erasing and undoing at the same time. That's why we can use Layer Mask. Looks like you are painting purple and this red color. Let me show you another cool example. Let me delete this one. We have this image and we want to change the eye color. So let's go to Adjustment Layer and click on hue and saturation. Now, click on colorize. When you click on colorized. And you can increase the saturation, just move around the hue until you are happy with the eyes color. Now, if I click camera control I, in this little icon, every adjustment layer is coming. V D layer mask by pressing Command or Control I, I inverse this selection. So it means black is make it invisible. I don't want to see the adjustment layer. I want to see the layer below it. Now, make sure the foreground color is white. With the brush selected. Go around this area, Alt or option. Right-click with the mouse and drag it up to change the hardness to 0, or right-click and bring the hardness to 0. Now, maybe make it a bit larger. And I'm painting over these eyes with the white. Look. How cool is that? This is exactly why we use the Layer Mask. Now the cool thing about it, I can always go around this hue and saturation, which is coming with the layer mask. And I can play around with the hue and drag down the saturation until I'm happy with Eichler. Nice or more. So you get the idea why views layer mask, not arrays it. So this is non-destructive. It means always I can come back here and change the setting. But with the razor, there is no way to getting back. So make sure to download the images and do some practice before you go to the next lesson.
12. Master Curve Adjustment: How to use care of in Photoshop. All right, let's go to Adjustment Layer and click on care. Look at this bar at the bottom. The right side is showing the bright pixel. Look. Here, on the right side is y, and on the left side is black. And the left side is showing the dark pixel in the image. Going up. At the top right. Going up is make the full brighter. And going down is make the photo darker. Now, let's make the bright pixel, bright area in our image brighter. So we go to the right part of the image, this part, and just take a look. I'm just going to click and drag it up. Now I met the Cloud brighter. How I make this area darker, just click on the dark area and drag it down. So, and the left part is dark area or the shadow area. And the right side is the bright area. So this is the S curve, the classic S-curve that makes any image more contrasted. Now let's reset it or you can see, look at this. I can just click and hold to see before and after and let it go. Click and hold. C. You can see before and after. Now clinic and the reset button lets the dark area brighter. There is another way we can do that. I can come and click on this later hand and look for the area that I want to make brighter. For example, this area. Now just one click and drag it up. Look. I made the dark area brighter. Now, the problem with the curve is when you brighten the dark area automatically, the bright side, our image is getting brighter as well. Just go to the bright side, an image, click and drag it down. A little go. Now only the dark pixel are getting brighter. Just take a look. I'm bringing back these two the line now, the bright part or the Cloud are the same. And just take a look. You can see the before and after, look, before and after, before and after. Now, let's reset it again. I can make this image a bit foggy look. I can tell the image. I don't want to see these kind of dark. The dark should be a bit brighter. Now, I can drag this up and make every dark pixel in our image a bit grayish or I can break it down. Maybe this kind of dark. Now it's cool. Again, reset it one more time. If Aramaic this area brighter, I can just click on this letter hand. Come here, click and drag it up. Look, now I made my image brighter. I don't need to look for it. Inside this bar. I can just come here and click maybe the cloud or too bright. You can click here and drag it down a bit. See, now we have this curvy. Let me reset it. Curve has three channels. Look r, g, b, which is our red, opposite of cyan, green is opposite of magenta and blue is opposite of yellow. Now click on Read. Now, for example, I want to make this cloud a bit reddish. So I'm clicking on this hand clique and the Cloud and drag it up. Look, now I have red color to my Cloud. Now let's reset it. Again. Let's go to red channel. Click on maybe this time you want to make the shadow a bit more cyan ish, right? Or this area. Click and drag down. Look, I'm adding more cyan to my image. Reset. When you said it is going back automatically to RGB, I'm going to click Agree. If I go up, is going to add more green to my image. If I come down, can add more magenta domain image resets. What about blue going up at a more bluish, going down, adding more yellowish the way image. So this is very interesting in composite. In just one curve layer, we have a lot of controls in different channels, adding different lights, dragging up the brightness and darkness, adding more contrast. That's what the curve is. One of the best adjustment layer in Photoshop and we use it all the time. Now we get the idea, do some practice and when you're really good at it, gotten next lesson.
13. Changing Color tone with Color Ballance: How to use color balance, actually, why we use color balance, adjustment layer and click on Color Balance. At the top, we have tone here, which is consists of shadows, mid tones, and highlights. And if you remember, on curve, I come here to care. At the right side, which is this part mostly is highlights. The center is midtone, and here is shadows. The same year. Just going to drag it out. Color balance, mid-tone is in the center. Shadows, which is the dark side of our image, and highlights, which is the bright side. But why we use color balance because of Preserve Luminosity? What does it mean? Let's check this off and drag this slider in the midtone to the right. So I'm gonna make it brighter. Let's add a bit of green to it. Let's add a bit of yellow to it. Before, after, before, after, before, after. Just take a look, how bright is that? The brightness is increasing crazy, right? We don't want that current brightness. We just want do the color balance. That's why we have to preserve luminosity. So to undress than what's actually is going to be with Preserve Luminosity. Let's refresh it and check this on for now. And increase the blue, increase the green a bit, and increase the red. Now take this off before, after, before, after. And this is exactly why we use color balance. Let me just go to care of adjustment tissue. What exactly me. And I'm just going to turn that off. We declare we have these channels actually read the same thing, increase the highlights. Green increase the highlights. But still, we are adding brightness to our image, or you're adding darkness to our image. We don't want that. That's why we have something called color balance with Preserve Luminosity on. Let me show you an example. If you have a portrait like this, take your photo like advertising picture. I'm just going to double-click on this little icon here. Go to Adjustment and click on color balance. Now, the Preserve Luminosity is on most of the time. For this kind of image. We actually good to shadow. We add a bit of blue to our shadow. And you go to highlight. And if you add more yellow to it and just take a look before, after, It's very simple adjustment. And I'll take look how sharp shadows that are cool the color is that There's lot of things that we can do with this. Let me reset it again. Now, let's go to midtone and let's add a bit of blue in total image. And in highlights. I want to add more reddish to it. And shadow. You want to be more yellowish. Lee. And see how warm is the photo is at right now. Now, let's make the photo a bit cooler, a bit bluish, bit called Refresh it. When I go to midtone and add a bit of cyan blue, it's a NGO too, shadow at a bit of cyan, blue and highlight and a bit of yellow. Now the image is getting colder. That's why we use color balance based on the image that you are taking. You can do a lot of stuff with it. And the cool thing about it is has preserved luminosity, something that other filters doesn't have. So measure all the time, use color balance and make sure this is checked on. Me should download the images, do some practice after we're really getting at it. Go the next lesson.
14. Create Dramatic Black and White image in Photoshop: How to black and white image professionally. All right, let me show you. Let's go to Adjustment Layer and click on black and white. Right now. Just keep that for now and press Command J to duplicate it. I want to show you something. Now, check this off so we can use it later. The professional way of using black and white image, this is a normal usage of black and white. So how we can make it professional. Here, we have a total control of every single color. What does it mean now? Triggered off the CDs are to get off. Just click on it. You can see the image, the original image. Now, let's see, you want to make this purple a bit darker. So how we can do that? All right, click on this and I'm looking for purple here, the magenta. Let me make this bigger and track this and make this darker. But I don't want to just kill it here and go back and see which color is red. Then come back here and again, move the red and make this black again. So refresh it. So we are not looking for colors. You don't want to do this. We have this hand here. I want to make this umbrella of it darker. So click on this. Click on it and drag it to the left until you're satisfied. Now make this brighter, click on it and drag it to the right. And sky, I want to make it a bit maybe darker. Click and drag to the left. And see how beautiful and cool is that you have a total control of every single color. Again, this is too much. So click and drag to the right to make it a bit brighter. C can go back and forth. So now, that's why we copied this seed before and after. This was the normal image of black and white. And this is the professional. Look. Now let's go to another example. We have this guy with a beard. So let's go to Adjustment Layer and click on black and white. Look, click on this little hand here and make this a bit darker. And maybe the bird bit to the right. The quality control here is red. But we have some preset. Go to default and Gilligan blue filter. You can put your mouse here and use your wheel and drag it down to change the presets and see which one you really like and which one we are really interested to see the difference there. How cool is that? I believe this is called infrared or this one. The lighter. Maybe the lighter but maybe a bit darker. So that's why we have total control of creating something amazing and beautiful. Or I don't go to the next lesson without practicing.
15. Photoshop Color Presets or Color lookup: How to use color lookup or Photoshop Color Presets and where we can find it. If you go to Adjustment Layer and click on Color Lookup. We have kind of load 3D lot or 3D lot file. If you're familiar with premium or After Effects, you the color pixel over there, they called lot and we save them as a lot. So we can use different preset, different colored tone to our image. It's at calculus at this image and make it more beautiful. I go here and click on the Bleach Bypass, put my mouse over there and just roll the mouse. And I'm coming down and looking for something very interesting. Maybe this crisp winter is good for now. Now. One more time, go to Adjustment Layer and click on another color lookup. Again. I'm just going to go here and start going over it until I am happy with what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something more inspiring, something like this. And let's add another one. And I can look up and I'm just going to go away here. I haven't liked this one, the candlelight. Let's add another one called lookup. And I'm just, this is cooled, but I think it's too much. You can come over here and play with the opacity until you are happy. Maybe 44. This one. Opacity should be less, may be 74. So I'm playing around with the opacity until I get what I want. And the cool thing about can lookup is I can use my custom color lookup. What I mean is after I've done with my image and color grading, and I'm really happy with this current lookups. I can put all of them in one folder, hold down shift, and click on that top command or control G to group it. I'm just going to call this column lookup. And let me explain something. I'm going to press Command or Control J multiple times because this is how it's going to be. We do a lot of stuff. We add a lot of, for example, care of maybe. And we do a lot of other stuff like color balance. And at the end or at the top, let me fix this one. And I'm kinda calico. And at the end, we add the current logo at the top of the layers. So to save these color lookup and added to enter their images or save it as a log file. Click on this top layer exactly below the clinical and hold down Shift. And click on the bottom right-click and make sure you click on Merge Layers. But if I go to File and go to Export and click on Color Lookup Tables, I get a message, could not explore color lookup table is because this document has no background. What I mean is it doesn't recognize this as a background. We have to go to Layer, go to New and polygon background from layer. So we created a background. Now. Now we can go to File Export and click on Calico table description. It doesn't matter you can put a copyright, but most of the time put it on medium. If you put it on high or maximum, It's going to be heavy. And the next time you want to import this is going to take a lot of time and my system is going to be hanging. So for format, if you just want to use it for Photoshop, just use cube and it's medium. Click, Okay. Here, I'm just going to call this color Lookup 10, for example. And that's a lot is the format. I'm going to save it. Now takes time to save. Now to bring it. Let's go and add an and I'm just going to check this off this Calico. It's good to Adjustment Layer and click on Catalog. At the top. Click on this. At the top it says lowered 3D lunch. Just click on it. And I'm looking for a color lookup, 10 and double-click. And check this out. The same color that we added In this on all of these folders. The same color lookup is just Indies can lookup alone. Look, this is the same as this one. And this is how we can use the same effect over and over and again. And this is how people save their color lookup and sell it online. So my point is, after this lesson, you have learned how to create your own color lookups and you can put it online for sale. So make sure do a lot of practice and create multiple color lookups. And when you're really good at it, go to the next lesson.
16. How to Use Brightness and Contrast: How do you use brightness and contrast to our image Adjustment Layer? And click on brightness and contrast. For us tonight image like this. It's simple. We can add contrast and can add a bit of brightness. That simple, Let's see before and after. Now it has more contrast. What about this image? Image already has a lot of contrast and exposure to it. You see this area is a bit Doric, is to contrast the eyes is a bit too dark. To fix. This is good to address malaria. Click on brightness and contrast. And this time we have to bring down the contrast. See now it's soft elicit before and after. Exactly that. It makes our image more softer and more natural. Look. It doesn't have that sharp look to it anymore. And we can increase it a bit of lightness. And this is kind of a correct way of contrasting an image. Let's go to another one. Look at his pants and it's a bit too dark. We have to make it a bit brighter, but still keep our contrast. How to do it? You know already there's got to address malaria. Click on brightness and contrast. Drag down to contrast and increase the brightness is the same thing, but look, depends. It's lighter. And this is a trick that you guys have to know most of the time. By contrasting an image doesn't mean increasing the contrast. It means controlling the contrast by lighting and contrasting. Sometimes you have to reduce the contrast and increase the brightness to achieve more contrasting image. And this is a trick with brightness and contrast. Tried to control it, tried to learn the principle. If you lend the principal or the Photoshop more than anyone else and is planets, all right, do some practice. And when you're good at it, Let's go to the next lesson.
17. Increase image Quality in photoshop: Let's see how we can increase image quality in Photoshop. We have this small little image, and if I zoom in, you see it's very pixelated and it's not usable. We cannot really print this. So how we enlarge this image and make it ready for print. Photoshop has a new technology. If press Command or Control K and go to Technology Preview. This is should be checked on Enable preserved, detailed to 0 up or scale. So make sure this is checked on. Now press Okay. Now, if I go to image, image size, may come here. Now you see the 40 is 130 kilobytes and the width is 236. It's very small. Now, let's make it 10 times bigger and make it a better quality. Just put 200 bar before you put it on 2 thousand, make sure the resample is on. Preserve detail to point O. So first you put it on preserve the deck to Pono, then increase the width, for example, 10 times larger. And I put it on 2000 pixel. And we have something called Reduce Noise. So by default maybe it's on 0. Let me check and you see it's not really good actually. But if I increase it, it makes it a bit softer, but we lose the pixelated image blues, a bit of texture that it's knowing. But right now, I believe Much better. Just take a look here and there. This is a small and this is 10 times bigger. Now, let's click Okay. Let me Command or Control 0 and just take a look. Now, we can use this image and we can print it at, it's going to be much better than that pixellated image. And if I go to image, image size, the quality is nine megabytes and actually is 10 times bigger. It better quality. And what amazing technology we have here. So what is called preserved detail to point O. Make sure activated, put the Reduce Noise on around 18 or 20. And wallah, you see the transformation of a very pixelated image to very professional looking and ready for print image.
18. How to Use Brushes in photoshop: How to work with brushes in Photoshop. For now, let's create a new layer and press B on your keyboard. Or come here and right-click, pick up the brush tool. For increasing the brush size. Just right-click and increase the size of the brush so you can see the size. Increase it a bit more. And just leave the hardness and 0 more. Now, press Enter, so it's going away. Now, just one-click. We'd want leak. You see something you see is like a feather ish. Look why? Because the hardness was on 0. Now let's come over here, right-click and put the hardness on 100 percent. You can enter and just one-click. Now see, this is the difference between hardness on a 100 percent and hardness and 0. Here we have a bit of feather here, so it doesn't have a sharp edges like this. So I have to work with brushes. I can just come here and go around. But you see it's a bit, Jackie is not really connected. It's not like a lie. And if I click here, hold down Shift and click here still, it's not a straight line. If I come here and go to window and looking for brush setting, just click on brush tip shape. The spacing is 20 percent. Now put the spacing and 0. Now, if I go around and just, let me just click this off, create an added layer. Turn that off. One click here, hold down shift and I think leak. Now you see a straight line because there is no spacing. They have to option here or passing a 100 percent and 100 percent, bring down the opacity. See, now it's a bit low opacity. Command control SSID to going back. Or you can come to Edit, Undo brushes, redo brush tool. It's always here. Command Control Z, shift Control-C. For redo, I want to make my brush size a bit larger or smaller. Use your bracket key. The right bracket key make the brush size larger. The left bracket key make the brush size smaller. Or if I hold down Alt and right-click with my mouse on Windows and drag to the right. And live can make my precise larger and a smaller. If I drag up and make the hardness 0. If I drag down, make the hardness a 100 percent. For Mac, you have the option and command and drag it up and down and left and right again, right-click here. And I want to make this a bit larger, maybe something like this and just drag this down. So maybe these larger. So I can see to roll again one more time, right-click here. So I can see more brushes. If I click on soft round brush, I'm going to have something like this regularly again, if I click on hard round brush, I'm going to have something like this. Now, this is the basic of painting in brush settings. Now, let's come here to this color palette. At the corner I have the color here. If you don't have it, go to Window and click on Color, then come to this literal coordinate, the hamburger, and click on it and put it on color wheel. The cool thing about it is I can pick my color, maybe this red and C, I'm looking for this kind of color. And let's turn this off. Click another layer. I'll see. I'm going to paint something. And this is cool. And I can drag it down and again go over this and again this down. I'm going over this, and I'm painting on building up. Now. Ten, I click another layer. Also right-click drag to the left and harness, I'm just going to drag it up to make it more 0. So most of the time instead I'm using the mouse. I am using the tablet, the Wacom tablet for painting. So what's the difference between using the mouse and using your Wacom tablet? If I use the Mac com tablet and now I'm holding my backup tablet that I'm just going to right-click with it. I have an extra option right now. It's called soft round pressure size. If I click it. So it means if I make my brush a bit larger as I press, now pressing various low, now press very hard. See the difference again, a slow heart. So based on my pressure, I get what I want. Maybe I want to draw a hair, so a mindmap brush smaller. Now, I pick a color, for example here. Maybe this kind of color, black, make it very small. And now I am drawing eyebrows. For example. This is something that we can let do it. The mouse, it's very hard to do it. We don't have this kind of effect actually. Because at the beginning is very small and at the end also is very small to look. But if I hold my mouse is going to be like this. If I use the same thing, look, the control that you have with your vacuum tablet is amazing. And that's why if you want to be a painter or digital artist, you have to use a calm tablet. You have to invest on a Mac on tablet. Now, this debt off lake, another layer is make this a bit, maybe a bit reddish or maybe a bit bluish. Now, put opacity on 50 percent. Put the mode on, multiply. And let's drag from left to right. And this is too shallow and right-click and put the hardness around maybe 50 percent. Press Enter left to right, up to bottom here, here. And just take a look at the center with the multiply we are adding to it, we are building up and this is getting darker and darker. If I change the mode to lighten, see what happened. See, I'm adding lightened to my image and the center is getting more lighter. We have a lot of control with brush settings that if we learn the modes and if we know how to use overlays, screen color, dodge is a lot of things that we can do with it and there is a lot of cool features that in the future we're going to learn. All right, In the next lesson, we will go for brush presets and brush settings.
19. Undestand Brush Presets and Settings: All right, Let's work the brush presets and brush settings. This could be a window and look for brushes, click on it. Let's go to Window and getting compressed setting. So we have these two options here. Now, create a new layer, press B on your keyboard. And for now we are in brushes and he added per settings. In brushes. We've worked with general brushes, but we have a lot of presets, like dry media brushes, for example. And I'm using my Wacom tablet for now. And I'm using something like clay ultimate pencil heart. If I click on it and make the brush a bit larger and I work on it. You see, maybe you are painting a Dragon and this is kind of a feather of a dragon, like it, kind of texture of a dragon. Or we are painting something like a tree or. So. There is a lot of settings here. For example, this one. And let me just show you something very cool. Actually. I want to make this blue, maybe this one, and maybe change the color to red. Now, take a look at this one. This is Kaylee paint box and this is the much too if we select it. So there is much to the selected. It means you have to kinda painting can just combine these two image together with the smudge tool. Look. So this is exactly like a real painting in Canvas. Now, on a goal back to this one for example. This is a smudge tool, but still doing a lot of different things. I mean, look, this one is mixer brush. I can use this mixer brush, but it's different. Can be with larger so you guys can see, can mix things together. And it's really cool and it can do a lot of stuff with it. It turned his create a new layer. Let me come down and look for special effects or Photoshop presets. I'm just going to click here and let's see what we get. Look, kinda get splash effect, difference flash. And this one. Sometime you don't see much because this is a smudge tool. So it means the combination of two things is the mixer brush. And this is like a tree. If I'm selecting this effect, I can go to brush settings. I can increase the spacing. Now I can paint much easier like a tree command control Z. Kind of a greenish. Now to be more and more and more. And so now we learn how to work with spacing. What else we have here? We have something called shape, a dynamic look, Size Jitter. Just take a look at it. I can change the size with control if I put on-prem pressure, if I increase and small. So we've got pen pressure tablet. If I hold it and push it hurt, I can get really huge leaf. But if it press various small and very slowly, look, get a various small. Says, I believe that's why we put it on pen pressure. What else we have here? We have increased the minimum. So whatever you do here, the cool thing is you can see the preview of it, the roundness. Look. Now it's different. And you can flip the Y axis and X Jitter. The cool thing about it is, what about a scattering? And this is called scattering. Just take a look. It's a scatter between this one and the other one. So let me just turn that off and take this on and see. Put one here, one here, one year, so it's a different places. And what about the texture? Just take a look. We can change the texture of a tree to discern and we get a different effect actually. So it's totally different. So let's go back to brush and look for something else like the normal line in the sand, round brush. This brush setting again, this brushes, if you come here, you see a lot of the stuff. Yeah, I mean, you see this one. And if I just paint over here, this is exactly like what we do for painting. For digital painting. I can increase the spacing, look based on what I'm doing exactly. And I can make it a bit closer. I can change the angle, change the direction. Can even change the setting the brushes. It's something else. I can this is a mixer brush, so we have a wet load and a mix and flow. And this is the different lesson. You can come here and say this is again mixer brush, this one. So we have a lot of mixer brush, brushes here. What about this one? Still use a brush. Let me come to this brush settings. And I'm just going to drag this down. This is a wet media brushes and I'm just looking for something like this, like this. Look. Take a look. Sometimes you tried to paint but nothing happens. So it means you have to change this to white, to a different color and you can go painting. Can just type your name. If you're looking for more brush presets. Let's come here this hamburger, and click on a legacy brushes and press. Okay. If you come at the bottom and click on legacy brushes, we see there is a lot of brush settings and default brushes that are here. And DP brushes, maybe if I compare thick heavy brushes. Let's try this once. Book. So you have access to a lot of different brushes here. So maybe natural brushes. Brushes. Look. Now, if we like a brush, for example, I like this brush, but I want to change it a bit. I want good shape dynamic and maybe make it like this, all right? And I want to save this brush. I like it, can come here and I click on this plus here and call this tin, for example, 10 pencil and click. Okay? So if we come back to the brush settings, I can see it is 10 pixel brushes. So I've added another setting. So it means anytime I have access to this as well, make it larger. Two, That's why you see a lot of people selling their brushes and this is how they create it. I mean, they liked some setting. They change some settings here, like a scattering. These a lot of change here and this is cool. This is how they save it and they can sell it online to a lot of people for bringing it. You can come here and can clear our brush settings. They said all lock settings or new brush presets you can add to it. So this was the basic of brush settings and presets in Photoshop.
20. Blending images together by Using Gradiant : Let's see how we can blend these two images by using gradients. Grab the top one is a sunset, and the blue one is the model. Right? Now, press G on your keyboard. Right now, we have the gradients for adding gradient and creating the blending. We need to mask this sunset. So it's good the Adjustment Layer and click on this Layer Mask icon here. So right now, make sure the foreground color is black and the background color is white. And we can switch it with X, press X and Nokia board, you can search it as a studied white. So white is the area that we want to keep like this area. So we'll start from here to here. If I press a very long click and drag along, the long transition is more gradual. So everything is gradual. The short transition is going to be like this. Look, the long transmission is creating a very smooth and very nice image. We are on Reflect click gradient. This would under first one, the linear gradient. And if I click and drag, I get something like this. If I drag a very small look drag and let it go, I get something like this. It's not nice. So if I click and drag very long, I can blend this image together very nicely. So what if I want to have and see more of this guy? I have to look for something like radial gradient. So with this one, I can hold and click and drag. But this time there is something wrong. I keep this area and languages the face. So it means I have to press X on my keyboard to switch this and do it again. And this time a very small. Now, try very large. Look. So you learn how much larger you can add. Sort of just do some practice. And you get the idea. I believe, the very nice and very cool transitions. All right, so you can play around with these two or this tree. So this is very useful. And with this one, you get something like this. You can just change the angle, change the direction. Very small, very large. And you see, we don't realize to play around with it. And this one is nice because we can see more of the sky and the face is more obvious. So this was a very practical way of showing you how to use gradient to blend two images together. So Metro download the images and do some practice before you go to the next lesson.
21. Selecting Objects By Marquee and Lasso tools: It's time to learn the selection, the monarchy, and the Lasso Tool. Let's create this house again with these two options. All right, now let's create a new layer. This is going to be your first project in Florida. This is stored from the roof. For this one, let's pick up the polygonal lasso tool. Why I was going to show you why. So basically this is how it works. So I'm just going to click here. If it doesn't work, double-click, click. Okay, and I start again here. And make sure just go along the line here, here, here. And then you see this circle, just click and we have the selection. Now, press I on your keyboard to pick this color. Make sure you hold down alter option and press Delete. When this color is on top, you have to hold down Alt and Delete to fill it with this color. Now it's filled, you don't see. So let me check yourself. This is the color now, Dana. So most of time, this is how we do it now and press Command or Control D to de-select it. Click and add another layer. Again, pick up the Polygonal Lasso Tool. Or from now on, we're just going to click on the keyboard shortcut L. Now, let's go for this one very quickly. To go straight. Let me just go back with the backspace. You can go back and remove it. If I want to go a straight clique and see if I hold down, shift is going to be totally straight. Click, click, click, click. Press I on your keyboard, again, Alt or Option Delete, monotype. Now, this is a cool trick. If I go back and click on this lasso tool, I can move this around. I can move it to the right. And they just changed the size. Right-click and click on Transform selection. If it's going to be like this, press Command or Control Z, hold down Shift and drag it to the right. So we have the same thing. Now press Enter. Press I on your keyboard to pick this color, alt, delete, command or Control D, and check this off. We have something like this. If we have something like this again, this time, I'm just going to pick up my rectangle marquee tool like this. I Alt, Delete to fill this. And I can just move this bit is to hold down shift and click to move it a bit down. All right, cool. Let's go back. What else we have here? Let's just start with this one. This one, I'm just going to right-click here and pick up the Marquee Tool, Rectangle Marquee Tool, and click and drag right at other layer. Plus I click Alt Delete. Now for the back one, this is what we're gonna do. Just click on the layer below it, click a new layer. And now we are working on this layer because it should be behind this the Edison tab. Click on again, rectangle marquee tool, drag and select. Plus. I click to pick that color, alt, delete, Command Control D to de-select it and checks out. So basically, this is what we do for this circle Right-click Elliptical Marquee Tool. And this is a cool point for this one. Press Command or Control R to show you a cool trick. For the circle, I don't know which part I have to put my mouse to be proper circle cannot control Li. Now, I'm just gonna show you a trick for this ruler here. And click and drag this one and put it here. Now, go a bit closer. Put your mouse here, click, hold down Shift and drag. And see, this is going to be very nice. Now, when you all down shift, you also can hold your space bar and you can move these around and you can just find your position. Sometimes you go here. But if you're holding down the space, it can go back. Less space go. So keep holding the Shift and this is going to be our totally single plus I click. So we have this color called deletes and turn that off and have this. So now let's go click on the top layer, click another one. And I'm just going to get closer. For this one, I want to use my Elliptical Marquee Tool. And again, click here, click here and drag and put it here. Now, Qlik, now I'm not using my shift because this is not a proper circle. Now, this is going to be something like this. Coup. Press I on your keyboard. And of elite. For now, I'm just going to turn that off. Click on the layer below it. In the layer, and to click and create this rectangle. Which one? Right-click rectangular marquee tool. And here you go. I, to pick a color of delete. What about this one? Simple polygonal lasso tool? Click here. Or if it's not a straight again, I'm just going to click here, click here, here. And here. Connected Alt, Delete. You're going to see it. Then that off. This is going to be, what about this one? The same thing. This polygon to less so to hear. Here, I'll delete. So this is basically how we use rectangular marquee tool and put it on a less. So this is going to be your assignment. Make sure you do it properly. When you are done. Then you can go to the next lesson.
22. Object Selection & Quick Selection and Changing Color: Let's select this jacket very quickly and change the color. How we can do that? In Photoshop here we have something called objects selection. Just click on it, click around here and drag around this jacket. A C4 sugar is undressed standing, we are looking for a jacket and sea photoshop is a small enough to undress than via looking for jacket. But there are some part that still is still we don't really like for this one, just come to the mode and change it to less or to make sure you hold down Alt or Option and you see the minus and go around this area because we don't need this area, just need the jacket. All right, Cool. What else? May reduce area? Hold down Alt or Option and click around these area. You don't want to come out and Control 0 to go back to the default setting. Right now, It's easy cut to address malaria and click on hue and saturation. And it easily, you can change the color of the jacket. How cool is that? Which Colombia like, maybe it is pink. It's nice. Can we just select an area and just select the older person? Is we can just come back to this layer. Now equity the mode, click on rectangle and just click and drag around subject. And we totally have control of this. And right now, I can just come here and add a cure, for example, and increase the brightness a bit and decrease the darkness to add more contrast to my image. See how cool is that. Let's go to another example. What about this one? Enclose this up about this car. I want to change the color. I want to select just this area. Can I use these objects selection too? So I wanna go around this area. And I'm selecting everything, but I just want the red parts. So it's not possible, right? The other cool thing is I can use quick selections. So to deselect the selection, press Command or Control D to deselect. Now hold down Alt and right-click and make this brush a bit larger. With this quick selection tool, I can just easily over the area that I really like. And then point, do we change maybe this reddish area. If I accidentally add something, I should hold down Alt or Option and just go around it because I'm telling the father that I don't want this. But I want this and this. So you can come closer and make sure this is a smaller. I'm holding Alt, right-click and drag to the left and right to make this smaller. So this part, for a corner or for the small area, the brush size should be a smaller. So with the plus sign, I'm not doing anything, I'm just adding this red part. And that's it. This is the faster way of selecting anything in Photoshop. So you guys make sure you do a better selection. Mine is enough, and go to the unsaturation and you can change the color again to pinkish. Go. What about this one? For this time? I want to change the sky color. So how would we do it? All right, Let's use objects selection. Let's see if we can just click and select the sky. I'm not that bad. And disport the minus birth and risk and hold on. Alt or Option, I'm just going to take it then minus this area again minus no, it doesn't understand properly command onto z. This then I'm just going to use Quick Selection Tool on that. Minus this, Should, I am minusing this person. Still I have these Helios. Should add the plus sign, right? And for this area, hold on, Alt C then minus. This is cool. Again, minus as well. Now, I can just come here and click on hue and saturation and change this color to something else. And also there is another way of selecting the sky. This going, Let's come here. Click on magic wand tool. And just once click C is going to select a specific color. And I hold down shift and add to it. Hold down Shift and add to it. They'll shift and add to it. And this is a faster way of selecting a background. Again, adjustment layer here and saturation. Maybe this time we add just a bit of saturation and maybe change it to the scholar. So for doing something fast, and when we have a background which is kind of an equal or 23 colors, you can use magic wand tool. The Quick Selection Tool is for something like this, something that the objects selection tool cannot just select the part of the image. And for whole image or a quick selection, we can just use objects, solutions, or ID. That was a quick way of selecting a subject and changing the color.
23. Fastest Selection in Photoshop: What is the fastest way of selecting a subject in Photoshop? If you press W on your keyboard, this Select Subject is going to be activated. Now, just click on Select Subject and see what happened. Look how cool is that. Photoshop automatically finds the percent and select the subject. Let's come here. This is going to be a very hard one because it's very difficult as one leg and it's hard. Let's see how it goes. Plus W again. And select subject probably is going to have some difficulties around here. Yes, exactly an error on here because it's going to be really difficult. So how to fix it very quickly, Quick Selection tool. For that, I'll right-click and make it a bit larger. Now, hold on Alt or Option again and slowly come around this area. So to remove the selection and takes the weight off time for it, for the sharp ternary standard, because this image quality is very large, actually, I should have been downed image quality. For this tutorial, we'll learn ALT and to remove this area and add dispersed Alt and just go around and law PV glue them all to remove this area. And that's it. This is the fastest way that we can select the subject in Florida. Let's try this one. Again. Press W. So this Select Subject is activated and click on Select Subject. See what it does. All right, not bad. It should be a smaller hold down B here. And that's it. It's done. Now. You see it how quickly we can select any subject. For now I can change maybe that live along this image. Brightness. I can bring up the brightness a bit and maybe I can make it a bit darker, cool before and after. So this is selection. Maybe I go to hue and saturation and change rid of the color. The same as this one. Maybe you go to hue and saturation. Maybe I can bring this to make it a bit orangeish or reddish to match it vt nail color. That was a quick way of showing you how we can select the very quickly any subjects in Photoshop.
24. How to Select & Seperate Hair from Background: All right, let's see how we can select a subject. It hair, actually be curly hair, right? It's going to be very easy guys. A promise, press W on your keyboard. Make sure the select subject is activated and just click Select Subject if we have a proper selection. But if we zoom in, I'm losing a bit of hair here. All right, so how we can fix this, how we can bring back to here, how we can make it properly. Okay, just select and mask. Click on this little icon here. Now you see this white parts. This is the area that we have to bring it back. Just play around with this opacity. So I can increase the opacity to see more of this area. Now, by default is going to be an refine edge. So it means if I hold down Alt and right-click with my mouse and increase these seeker, I can slowly go around these white areas. Just white areas. Again, my areas, right areas. I want to zoom in a bit. The panel control plus, I want to bring back a bit of these hair as well. So let's go over it. Let's go over this area, this area, and this area. So any white areas? Any areas that is between the hairs. I'm going to fix it. So I'm with the refine edge is still. What about this area? Is start from this part and go over it. Still am going to try to make this smaller angle over this area to print this here back. So your brush has to be very, very small. Exactly the hair size. So we don't want to bring it back all the hair. Mean, we try our best, but sometimes it's gonna be very difficult, so I believe it's OK. And this is the area at S epi it hard to select. It's going to be the glasses. And here we go. I can't draw 0. I believe it's very cool. Now, we have something called a radius by default, if we don't have a very proper selection, this radius is going to help us to bring back some of the area that we don't have. So for now, it's okay. I'm just going to cancel it. Sometimes we have a very sharp edges and views. This is Smooth Feather and contrast to soft then that image actually, right? Yeah, very cool selection. At the bottom we have something called output setting. Just click on it and output to most of the time, I put it on a new layer with layer mask. It means we always can come back to this panel and refine it again. And this part is okay. Alright, How cool is that? Standards are now just going to change this color actually, let's go to Adjustment Layer. Click on hue and saturation. Again. Click on this letter hand colleague, and play around with the hue. So maybe a bit light blue. Well, this was the hair a selection. Actually, you can see alkalis. I can come here again. Now, the cool thing about it is I can drag and drop any background to this image and it's going to be amazing. Trust me, look larger and okay, and just take a look. It's going to be very, very normal and natural. And how cool is that? If I quit, I just want a solid color and maybe this kind of color, maybe a dark color. You see. Maybe there is a lot of hair color, or maybe this is a bit messy. You can always double-click on this mask and into select and mask area. Look. Now in a global refinement, added smooth fader and contrast. And just take a look at it. It's going to be much better after D is changing that we did and press Okay. And look, it's even more cleaner. This reaction. And this was a bit of tips and tricks that you guys can learn and select any hair in Photoshop in 0s. So Mitchel do some practice, download the images and many really good at it. Then go to the next lesson.
25. Removing Distracting Elements with Healing Brush: All right, Now it's time to remove distractions in Photoshop. How we can do that? Let's come here and click on a spot healing brush. Right? Now. Also, right-click to make it a bit larger. That zooming. I want to remove this area and just click on this little icon here. And you can just come over here and click on this. But we need to keep this original image safe. How we can do that? Press Command Control Z, create a new layer and make sure sample all layers is checked. Now we can do the same thing, look, but in separate layer and we keep original image safe. So make sure too, that all the time we're just going to call this remote mic right? Now again, just one click here, click here on cake and you get the idea. If it's sharp, just hold on Alt, click and drag it up. Some homemade Kim can make the hardness to 0, so it's not going to be sharp anymore. So it's going to be very soft. All right, cool. Let's go to another example. So in this example, instead of using the Spot Healing birth, that is a little dirt on the ground, right? I'm just going to zoom in so you guys can see exactly. We don't like it is ugly. So let's clean it. Let's come here and click on Patch Tool and select around the subject. Now, drag it to another area, we get this error message could not use the patch tool because the selection area is empty. It means especially, okay, good. The Patch Tool put the normal on content aware. Now the sample all layers is check. Now we can move this around until because something that you'd like or I can move this area here, can play around with this so we can get better. Thanks. I'm using two or three times, maybe a bit here. So anything can be cleaned. So just go around it and clean the ugliness. Maybe it is maybe this one. So you see how quickly you can just do anything. Maybe this is distracting as well, and these areas, so I'm just going to select around that area and killing those mess. Let's go back to this image. And what about these lighter hair here? And what about the skin tone? If I come here and Gilligan Spot Healing Brush and click on this arrow. Here. I'm just going to use some quality. I'm just going to use the texture of the image. You see the command Control Z. The best day on the face is using the Healing Brush tool. It means I'm holding down Alt or Option. I'm sampling an area. But before that, put the sample layer, the current layer should be on current. And below, it means pick up the sample from the layer below it, all down Alt. And click here. I'm telling this just picked a sample from this area or this area. And remove this. Click around here and look next here. So it means it's getting this sample from this area and painting over there. So easily I can just fix everything. Look even here, click here to same color. And I'm going around here, and that sets around here and I'm fixing these areas. This is much better because we just controlling the content where the control is in our hands. I'm just going to tell this copy from this area because this area is clean and just put it here from this alien, put it here. So we make the decision for this, for example, this one coming from here. Look, I'm removing the hair. Easily. Easy-peasy, right? Cool. Now there's know how to use the Spot Healing Brush, healing brush and Patch Tool.
26. Remove Big Objects By Content Aware Fill : What is the fastest way of removing any object that we don't like in Photoshop. That is called Content Aware and how it works. Just copy I click on lasso tool. We can select around the objects that you really like, Right? I don't like this one. Now, right-click, click on field. Make sure the content is content to where I click OK. Look, it's gone. Come on, Control D. That's it. Let's go to another image. I don't like this bicycle. So with lasso tool, just select around the subject that reduce NAD like Right-click, feel content ever. Okay. Then what about this one? I just come here around the subject. Right-click and feel, and okay. So it's not that good. What is this? It's a bit messy. So had to do this, come back onto a Z. I'm just going to show a very cool trick. So when you select that the subject of jewelry, like, Let's go to Edit, click on Content airfield. All right, here we have sampling area options, which is also rectangle and custom. And underwrite side, you can see something like this. What is going to happen? The custom one is very interesting. I'm going to tell the Photoshop which area you have to sample. So I'm just going to tell it around this area. Just take a look what's going to happen. So pick from this area, the sampling at bad EBIT of this area better and maybe be this area very cool. And how cool is that? Look? So we play around and we till the Photoshop, pick the sample from these areas and we can see what's going to happen. Maybe a bit of this area. Not that bad at all. So Kamikaze run like this one. This is much better. Maybe if it disperse that you are really okay with that. Just press. Okay. And this is what you're going to get. And trust my guy is going to be very difficult to do such a thing. But Photoshop is doing this in peace for after. So right now, guys learn how to use content aware fill to removing any object very quickly, maybe in less than two seconds.
27. Transform Landscape image to Portrait with Content Aware Move and Scale: Now let's choose something very interesting. How we can move this object and put it in front is going to be actually very easy guys. Just check that off. Let's come here. Spot Healing, Brush, and click on Content Aware. Move to right. Now, just go around this object that you want to move. And just move it and put it here. And press Okay. You can also make it a bit larger or make it smaller, and then you're okay with it. Just press Okay. And just take a look. Press Command or Control D. The Photoshop automatically removed it from here and put it here. And how cool is that and how normal Is that? All right. There's another could track that I'm just going to show you. For example, UDL like this image and also this river is beautiful with the sunrise. Everything is cool. But you wanted to put it on Instagram size, something like this, maybe here. So it means you will lose the river, but you don't wanna do that. So what is the trick? How we can put this river and this car in this frame? Is it possible? I'm just going to show you a very cool trick, command or control D to de-select it. The trick is just pick up your lesser tool and select around this subject that you're going to keep and you don't want to move. So I love this car and I wanna keep it in my image without losing distortion. So now, let's go to Select, Save Selection. I'm just going to call this car and click OK, Command Control D to deselect it. Now, that's the trick. Go to Edit. Click on content aware scale. When you click on it. Just protected. It means I'm just going to click here a find the car selection. It means if I move this to the left. So if it's going to be something like this, we cannot control Z, hold down Shift to just go straight and just take a look. Still. I have my river and I have my core. And how cool is that guys? Just take a look. I mean, the image is still very cool and very interesting is like taking for all V8, GoPro is going to be something like this, but it's still, you have the river and you have the core. At the same time. If you want to see what happened, just come here and just bring down the amount from a 100 percent to 0. This was a 100 percent didn't normal way of distortion. But with the soft selection and with the content aware scale, we just kept the scale of the original car. And just other things in the image is getting squished a little bit inside. And now we have very, very Instagram furrow that we can use all the time, and that was my cool track. Do you guys do some practice? This is a very useful trick and you can use it a lot in a lot of images.
28. How to use Clone Stamp Tool: Let's see how we can use Clone Stamp tool in Photoshop press S on your keyboard, and you can also come here and right-click and pick up clone stamp tool. And the first thing we're gonna do is copy this and put it here. Hold on Alt or option and just clicked area that you want to copy from. So I want to copy it and put it here. So I'm gonna hold down Alt or Option click here. Now, I'm going to exactly move here and just paint and just see the plus sign. And a left side is going to copy this same thing here. That's it. Let's copy another one here. Hold on, Alt or Option click here, come here, maybe here. And let's paint. Look, how easy is that. All right, let's try something else. Let's go to another example. And here I'm going to copy this guy and just copy them here as well. Holding Alt or Option and click the same area. Just make sure you follow these routes. And you shouldn't just put it here, right? It doesn't make sense. You have to just copy them here. Hold on Alt or Option and click exactly on this line. And just follow the lines here. And just start painting. Look and see how cool and realistic is that. Again, if here is Missy, hold on Alt or Option and start painting over this area to make it modern national Alt and Option and here. So, so you see how easy is that? And we just can do the same thing. What else we can use? If we go to another example, now we're going to use the clone stamp tool to remove something. For example, this one. Make sure you pick a sample for from this one. Maybe I want to copy this area to displace a lot Alt or Option click. And maybe beer on to option click again, and start painting. Again. Hold on Alt or Option and keep painting. Although option from different area makes it more realistic. And maybe different in DC as well, Alt or Option and click. Look how easy is that? Again. And that's it. Now let's try this one very fast. Although option and click from this area. And you see the plus sign over there. That's it. Maybe we are going to remove this as well. Although ultimately here and remove case Hello, see how quickly we can do a lot of stuff that maybe we can copy something in front of this girl. So Alter option from here, copy these area and just put it here. Look, it is going to be difficult, right? Because we can't really see the edges. So for this one, we already know. We come here to object selection. Maybe I'm going to select this one. All right, now let's Photoshop calculated, got the Lasso Tool, hold down Shift and just make add to this area. Right now, press Command or Control J to duplicate it, press V for the move tool and just bring it here. Then we can blend these two, this area, we'd want it mask. Click on the Mask, press B on your keyboard. Make your brush a bit larger. With me. Pick a soft round brush and start painting to combine this and merge these two together. Professional and that's it. Simple. And when you can do the same thing, maybe this one should be here. We can delete it because this is exactly copy and paste, right? Called Misha, do some practice, download the images and when you're really good at it, go to the next lesson.
29. All Blending Modes Explained: What is blending mode and how we can just combine these two image together with the use of this blending mode options. We have 27 blend modes, but six categories looks divided by this line 123456, right? Let me explain one by one. We call this the base layer, the bottom layer. This is going to be our image, and this is the image that is on top of it. We call this blend layer. We're going to blend this to this base layer. How it works. The normal is always on normal blend mode and is the base and default blending mode. The second one is dissolve. Dissolve is just adding noise to our image, right? So we can see the layer below it with dragging down the opacity a bit, right? This second category is dark and category and how it works. The dark and it's mixed the image darken. And what does it mean? And you put it back on normal and just check this out, darken it, remove the white part of the image. Look, we don't have, we don't see the white part. And then we use it. It's going to be at something like this guys, let me go and back on normal. Kick this off. I have a rain here which is unnormal. I just want to see the rain. I don't want to see the black. If I put it on dark and, and multiply, it doesn't work, right? So keep that in mind. I put it back on normal. Now, let's go back on Blend Mode. The opposite of dark n, which is a darkening, the image which is removing the white is Lighten. Lighten is removing the dark part of the image is removing the dark pixels. Now, it's going to be useful for the terrain option. If I put my image on lightened or delighting category like a screen, I'm removing the dark pixels and just seeing what I want, which is the rein. So for anything that has a dork pixels, do it. Use a screen or lighten good through this category and find the best result for you. Just one recap. The dark in. It's going to remove. So the white is invisible. Put it on lighten or a screen or lighten category is going to remove the dark part of image, which is going to be an example of rain here. All right, what about the overlay? The overlay is going to add the dark skin and the Brighton or lightened at the same time, but removing the center 50 percent gray. With me going back, if I put this on overlay, is going to remove this part, the 50 percent gray. So it's adding the darken and lighten at the same time, right? Which is the overlay. See here, just take a look here. And here. It's adding the Lighten here, and it's adding the dark area and removing the 50 percent gray. All right. What about the difference? Right. Let me show an example. If I come here and the base layer and just duplicate it by Command or Control J and put it on difference. So there is no difference because I just copied this. But if I move this around, see, you see the difference. So it's going to show me the difference between black and white. And actually we don't use it often, but I'm just going to explain it anyway. So this is the difference category, right? And let me just remove this one. And let's go to the last category, hue, saturation, color and luminosity, which is very useful for compositing. Let me show you how. If I come here and add a hue and saturation and just change this color to maybe be purplish or reddish. But I don't want the color here. So one-to-one is use this color as a brightening or darkening my image. So if I go here and click on luminosity, luminosity, it doesn't show the color saturation and hue is just showing the brightness of image. Right? Now. If I come back in hue and saturation and track this, I'm just see the changes in color, but showing me the brightness. This blue color is dark and ammonium edge, and this green color is brightening my image. So this is how useful is that. And in future we have a lot of tutorial for that. So I'm going to explain what is really useful just for now. Just know sometimes when we add a lot of adjustment we can control. Just show us the color, just show us the saturation, or just show us the EU. And for recap, just remember that darkening. It's disappearing. The white an invisible, the white lighten is going to invisible. The dark part overlay invisible, just 50 percent gray, and adding the lighten and darken at the same time. Difference is just going to be the difference between two images and the Hue Saturation Luminosity is going to be used with a lot of compositing. Just is going to show us just the, you, just the saturation, just a color, or just the luminosity of an image. All right, Now you know the basic of blending mode options in Photoshop.
30. Why you MUST Use Smart Object: What is a smart object? How we can create it, and why we have to use a smart object all the time, right? Let me explain. I have these kind of design here and I have another character here, which is I design it. I'm going to drag this and put it on this new artboard. And I'm going back a bit Command or Control T, holding Alt or option and make more character a bit smaller. Right? Knowledge Amin. Now I changed my mind. I want to be my character a bit larger, tomato Control T and make my character a bit larger. And the present. But what happened? I lose the quality of the image. So what I have to do, Let's remove this or let's skip it. For now. I'm going back to my design character. And I'm going to right-click here and convert this to a smart object. Now, you see this little icon here. Now it means it's a smart object. If I drag this and if I put it here and press Command or Control T, hold down Alt or Option, make this various model. So let's drag this one here so you guys can compare exactly what I mean. It's zooming. I'm selecting the smart object, one command or control T. Hold down Alt or Option and drag it and make it larger. And let's click into, see the difference. There is no change in quality. So the quality of the image and everything else is going to be inside this smart object. The second reason we use a Smart Object is this one. Now, I'm going to design something. Let me turn that off. And I'm pressing Command or Control J to duplicate this. Cannot control team make this a bit smaller. I'm putting this here, maybe Command or Control J again, another one, I'm putting something else here. Now. I send this to my producer and the lofted design, but they'll tell me, change this color to this blue. So it means I have to change the color to each single one of them. But if I'm using my smart object is not going to be like this. So what I mean is, let's go back to my smart object, or just double-click on one of these model object. Just double-click. If you double-click you going back to the smart object itself, hold down control and click on the clothes that you want to change. At the top, I have a UN saturation. If you just select it. And let me just bring it Properties and change it to this blue color that my director ones just, I need to press control S to save it. And let's go back to see the magic. All the smart objects are changing at the same time or more time. Let me change it to this color. Save it, Command or Control S is go back and check it and see. And this is why we always have to use a smart object to the tip of today is just convert your image to a smart object and make your life easier in future.
31. How to Open Raw image as a Smart Object: All right, let's see how we can open a raw file in Photoshop. Here we have different brands in different cameras. Just click and one of them did that CO2, which is for Kevin, and drag it and drop it into Photoshop. So it's going to be open in Photoshop. And the cool thing about raw images is we have a lot of control. We can just drag down the exposure. You can increase the exposure, can control the contrast. The temperature tint. You adding a white to black areas. We adding more clarity can add more texture to it. We can do a lot of things because everything is embedded inside that image. That's why we asking you guys, always take raw image, not JPEG image. Now, we can just open it. If you open it like death, it's going to be like a background is going to be a normal image, is not going to be an, a smart object. So to open it like an a smart object, you have to do a trick is go back. Remove this one, and just double-click on it. We'll just drag it into Photoshop. It's the same. I'm just gonna tell you a trick that nobody knows. If you hold down Shift, It's going to be open object. It means appendices as a smart object, just Gilligan it. Now you see this little icon here. So it's mean is anytime I double-click on this, I'm going back to my Camera Raw Filter at how cool is that. So it means I can change my settings anytime. See the contrast. It was too much. I want to bring it down and B, now I'm going to press Okay, so I'm not worried about any changes that I want to add in future. So make sure always hold down shift and click on Open Object. So this is how we can open a raw image in Photoshop professionally.
32. Scaling, Skewing & Adding a Photo to a frame: Let's see how we can escape a skew, rotate a layer with Free Transform option. But before anything we do the after right-click and click on convert to a smart object. Right now, press Control T. So before we do anything, we need to see something in the center, which is called pivot point. Make sure this is checked. Now this is active. Now we can move this around. Why we are moving this around? Because I can rotate this from the center, or I can rotate this from here. If I put this around, I can rotate it from this angle. Or sometimes it is good. I want you to get from this particular angle. And c is always rotating from that angle. It's very useful in Photoshop actually. So I'm just click on it and drag it and put it back in the center. Now, if I hold down Alt and then just make it a smaller from the center. All right, now, the cool thing about it is this options. If I right-click and click on Scale, I can just scale it. Alright? If I right click and click and rotate, I can just rotate it. Right-click and click on Skew. I can just move this around. Just click on the corners. And you can put it anywhere that you want. If I right-click and perspective is going to be on perspective. So I can do a lot of the stuff, its legacy that you want to put this on a TV or a lot of stuff. I can bring it back for now. Phage right-click and put it in distort. I can just distort this again, do a lot of stuff with it. All right, Now press Enter. Let's go to another example. For example, we have this frame and we have this portrait. You want to put this portrait image to this frame. How do we do it? All right, let me just press Command Control T. Make sure is a smart object and hold on Alt. Make this smaller. Just put it here. That zooming. Now you guys know, if I put it in this corner, easy. Right-click and click on these torts. Now we can play around with, you can put this here, I can put this one here. Bring this to here. And let me zoom in a bit. I'm going to make sure everything is the place. Presenter. Let me just checked. Again. Come I Control T, right-click, distort and drag this up a bit. Maybe this part is, should come to the right there. Inter. And how cool is that we are done. So we just use the command control TO transform tool to put that image to a frame in Photoshop.
33. Master Pen tool: Congratulations. It means you are ready to learn pen tool. What is pen tool and why is it the most important thing in Photoshop? Just press P on your keyboard. And you can also come here and right-click and pickup pen tool here. How it works. Let me zoom in a bit. All right, let us start from this angle. All right. Now, did normal way of using, which was lasso tool, it was like this. You can come here and just kelly here, but it is not going to be around. I mean, I'll lose some coordinates. Still possible to get a very round shape here. But if I press P on my keyboard, one click here, and one clique here, but hold it and drag it. So hold and drag and just match the lines. Try to match it. Now. If it's matched, let it go. Here's the tip. If you don't hold down Alt or Option and click here is going to be like this. If you click here, it's going to be like this. We cannot really continue. I'm pressing Command or Control Z now or learn alter option and click here. And now I can keep going. Click and drag or down Alt or Option and click here. Now, for this parts, I'm following the lines I see, well, until here is a straight, so I do one click. If I go here, I'm losing a bit disport. I'm holding down control. And I can click and disperse, and I can just move it inside. So by holding Control or Command and click, you can move on. Now I can click here, and I can keep going. And alter option and click here. Now. I can just come here and do one more step. So for this curve, I just want to see is a straight, which is keep the straight one. When I see these care of, I'm using the Pen tool. Click and drag. Hold down Alt or Option and click. Click one more time. And let's go. So I can just good is one step Alt or Option click. And what about this acidic care was coming till here, right? Do it, click and drag a selection click. It's a bit as trade t here and lose the curve. So actually here and track. So you see what I mean? I see the care of t here, so I click and drag. So I'm guessing if I can do it when, one time. So until he is going to be straight, heavy tailed here, stop and click and drag. Right. Now I'm going back a bit. So this line, let's see if I click and drag. And I get to see yes, The other option, click. One more time till here, click and drag. Now, I'm trying to make a mistake here. For example, I'm clicking here and click and drag. But I see it doesn't work. I can press Command or Control Z and I try again. Or I can hold Control and click on this and drag it, put it here. Now, acetylcholine uncontrolled and play around with it and try to fix it still doesn't work. I'm holding down control. Move that around, and that's it. I fixed that Alt or Option and click. Now let's try if I can do this and still don't click and drag. I put it here. And I tried to do this. Then Alt or Option and click. And this is the way it go guys. I'll option click that one way. Try. So click and drag and move around until, all right, cool, absorption and click. We have two curves until here. So click and drag. Get it. Now, it's going to be this. Now, this one has two lines until here. So I click and drag Kamikaze. Also Option click. And I see the silicon means I'm finished. I can go inside and down control and move this around. All right? And then you are done with selection. Right-click and click on Make Selection and press Control. I'm going OK. Now, this two way we can save the selection, which we can go to pass. Double-click on this, and I'm just gonna call it 01 for now. So I always can come back to it. Now let's go back to layers. So right-click and we didn't make selection, right? And we did the okay one, this is our selection. Create a new layer. Turn this off. Now jigs us, we have the selection. The top layer is black, Alt or option and delete, and we fill this with black. Let's turn that on again, and let's continue. Click and click and drag or the other option, click, click and drag. Click and clicking and dragging. Holding Alt and Option and click. So I can continue, can drag. So you get the idea. Now I'm trying to do this epitope faster so you guys don't get bored. Right? And let's zoom in. I missed it along control click and put it here. I have to go back a mistake keeping the let me it doesn't matter if I go out a bit. So let's try this and done. Right-click. Make selection. Okay? And I have a selection of Option Delete cannot control D to de-select it and see, we are way to go. All right, now, I want you guys to finish this out is going to be easy now you guys know the technique and also I want you guys to just This dog with pen too. So for this one, for example, you have to do it exactly like this. First. Do it this way. For example, try to help you guys with this assignment. For the part that has two colors. To option click, now, create a new layer. I, I press Alt on my keyboard. So this is the color. Press P again, back to the pen tool, right-click and make selection. Okay, alter option and delete. So I have this. Now, turn that off. Create a new layer. Again. I'm just coming here. Click here. Click here and drag shown to alter an option and click and drag. That's an option. So right-click, make selection, click. Okay, now I have a new layer. Pick a color, alt, delete. Now you get the point C. This is this one and this is the layer below it. So if we have something messy, you have to go back to the pen tool. I'm just going to click here, click here and drag. All right, hold on, Alt Option click. Now see what I'm going to do. Click, right-click, make selection, and just press delete this time. And we clean this mess. So this is basically what you have to do and go through all of these and make the same thing just with use of pen tool. So make sure before you go to the next lesson, get mastering pen tool because we're going to use it a lot in future.
34. Sharpening images in Photoshop: What is the best and the fastest way to sharpen and image in Photoshop. For example, I love this image, but the problem is this cursed and this bread. It's a bit out of focus and it's not sharp enough in my eyes. So just press Command or Control J to duplicate it. But make sure before you do this sharpening, just right-click and convert it to a smart object. Now, Let's go to Filter other and high-pass. Make sure you always around two or four. When you see these kind of line, it's enough. Now, plus okay. Always make sure to put it on overlay or soft light for now or most of the time we put an overlay. Now, check this out before, after. I hope you guys can see these. Before, after, before, after. So why would it a smart object? I can always double-click on it and I can make it more. And click Okay, so now it's more contrasting, but we just use this partially. What I mean is just add a mask to it. For now. I just wanted in some areas like dephase and the bread and a bit of scarce. So make sure this is black. Press B on your keyboard. Now, must have we done what I do is I press Command or Control I. So it means there is no sharpening right now. Now, I press B and just switch this to white. And I start painting over. So I'm adding sharpening just to the face and also the bread to get more attention. And now take a look. See before, after, before, after. Maybe the dress can be of truss here. We'll have dress here. And now I get more attention to the area that I really want. Maybe we'll have hands. Take a look at that before, after, before, after. Let's try an example. This is a very good example. Now, press Command or Control J. Right-click, Convert to Smart Object. Now you know, are there and high-pass. So I'm just going to try and put it between 24 for now. I'm just keep it on for and press. Okay. Now, let's try to put it on overlay. Now. We want to make this bus a bit more sharp and the area around it more shallow. So how do we do it? Press Command or Control J. Now, the image is more sharp now. Now try one more time. Press Command or Control J. Now, lung Shift and click on this tree. Press Command or Ctrl G to group it. Now, turn that off, seed before and after. See how sharp is there. Now, let's try to zoom in habits. So we want to make this bus a bit sharper to create a black mask, pull down Alt, and click on the mask. So it means there is no sharpening. Press B on your keyboard measure the foreground color is white, and start just painting on a bus. So I made the pass a bit more sugar. I made it a lot just because I want you, I see it on the video. Now. Let's try it to the back of this car as well to make it more understandable. Right? Cool. Now, do you want to see before and after? Before is totally out of focus? And now check this out. So this is the best and the fastest way of sharpening image in Photoshop.
35. Lose Weight with Liquify : Do you want to lose weight? The best way to lose weight in Photoshop is using Liquify. Just before that, make sure just right-click and convert it to a Smart Object. Then go to filter and click on Liquify. Here. By default is going to be on a Forward Warp tool. And I'm just going to explain one by one for our scenario. Just going to zoom in a bit. We have something called here, the pucker tool right here, this one, right, just click on it. Now, you can make yourself as a small or larger in this case, I want to make it a very large. Now I'll just double-click on it or hold it. So I'm just clicking and holding. All right. I wanna make it too much because it should be in Azure and legs. Alright. Alright. Now let's try the first one there for about Warp tool. Click on it. And from this angle I want to make it smaller. And I'm just going to push it forward. If it pushes forward. Right. Maybe a bit of the same pucker tool, maybe on the legs, here, here and here. All right. What about these parts? Parts? Again, I'm trying the same thing and I'm pushing bit inside and pushing bit inside. And this is the best thing that we can do. I guess. Maybe this is going or maybe this is, or trying to make it a bit more feta. So you have to be careful about these areas when we try to do this. All right. Do you wanna see before and after, I'm just going to come down, click on the reconstruction. And you can see that the amount, I can just drag it to the left, it was before and this is after. And this was, this has to be the use of Liquify and see alkalis that he can play around with these legs to make it much better. That was just the sample. Maybe have come here and use of this to make it a bit smaller. So don't try to mess a lot with it so you get confused and it's going to be very difficult, just the normal way of doing it. I'm trying to just to show you explaining it. So I'm just overdoing it now. And you're okay with that. Just press Okay. You see before and after H2CO, is that look, Let's try the other one. Is that most of the time we use this for face as well. So make sure rightly, convert to a smart object. Again, go to filter and click on Liquify. Now, there's a lot of things we get there. Just put it on a face tool and see what, what's going to happen. We have something here. Click on the white, go to the right side and just double-click here. The Layer Style is opening. Come here at the bottom, you see something called Blend. If most of the time we just work on underlying layer, this is the blend. If this is blending the white and black to the background image. So the simple way of using this, this is white. We want to add this white color just to our highlight, not the shadow. So just the highlight, not the shadow. And the shadow means just, I don't want to be on the shadow. The left side is shadows. The right side is highlight. I want to keep it in an online so I don't move this slider. I don't want to be and the shadows, so I move this slider, but it's very harsh to make it more Federation and more soft. Hold on Alt or Option and click on this little slider. Look by clicking the separated and you make it with two handles. Now, I can play around with it until I am happy. How we add a snow to our images actually in professional way just by using the blend. If so, I added the white to the highlight, not the shadow. So not the shallowest means. Drag the shadows slider to the right. And we'd by holding down Alt or Option and separate in this slider. I can use these very gradually with more failure. Now click Okay. Let's go to the black color. I want to add this black color on lead to my shadows, not to my highlight. So what do I do? Double-click here on the right side. Now only to my shadow, so I keep the shadows. I don't want it on the highlights, so I drag the slider to the left to make it more Federation and more soft. Hold on Alt or Option. Click and drag this slider to the left. Now, play around with it until you are happy. So I'm adding that dark color only to my shadows and take a look. Now click Okay, Let's go to another example. Now let's make this image darker. So it's going to be like Sunrise. So how do you do it? Just go to Adjustment Layer, go to solid color. By default is on black and click, Okay, right. Now, double-click on the right side. I wanted to keep these and the shadows and not the highlight, right? So I'm track these to the left or the altar Option. Click and play around with it until you are happy with the darkness. So most of the composite is going to be exactly guys like this. I believe. Let me just I believe this is cool actually. I like this. Now. Press Okay. Let me add a bit of a reddish color to the shadow. So let's go adjustment layer, click on color balance is a debit of reddish and a bit of a yellowish is going to be like a sun rays. Now, again, Double-click here. We just want to add this to the shadow so it means not the highlight, right? So director writes slightly off to the left, the Alt or Option and click and play around with this. Now, take a look. Let me hold down Shift, Command or Control G to group it and see before, after. So it's very useful in compositing and doing a lot of photo manipulation. So let me try something else. This T on your keyboard and just type. Photoshop is fun. Press Command or Control T, hold down Alt and make this a bit larger. If I click here on character, it can also bring it here from Window and click on the character. All right. I can make this a bit larger, but holding my mouse here and a T and drag it to the right. And I can increase the highlights a bit. And I believe is okay. Now, I want to add this Photoshop and blended exactly to the wall. Is that possible? Yes, It Blend, If everything is possible, just double-click here. So we want to add this just in the shadows. So just in the shadows, not the highlight. Drag the right slider to the left or down, Alt or Option and click to separate it and play around with it. See how we can blend these two the wall. Just take a look. We blended the text into the wall. Isn't it cool? Now you guys know one of the coolest secret in photo compositing in Photoshop, which is the blend. If.
37. Selection & Remove Background with Channels: All right, Let's change the background. Let's change the sky. Because we have a lot of trees in front of it, is going to be very difficult to select it. But I'm going to show you a very good trick by using channels. You can select trees and just change the background to anything that we like. These are going to be our backgrounds. All right, let's go make sure this layer is selected. Go to channels. And we are looking for contrast between black and white. And see the red doesn't have much, green doesn't have at all, but blue. There's more contrast between black and white because we need to make a selection. This area should be totally black. So we have to make a copy of this blue, drag it and just put it on this plus sign to copy it. Now, press Command or Control L M to bring up the level and try to make it dark. And use of this one as well. And drag the right one to the left. So we are making contrast between white and black. Now press Okay, we have to make these areas totally black to get a good selection. So let's try pick up the Lasso tool and just go around this area. We need to make a proper selection like disgrace. And a lot Command or Control and press Delete command or Control D. And keep doing. I'm going to select these areas because I want to make it totally black. Again, because the black is in background color. Hold down Command Control Alt, Delete to fill it with black. Let's go inside C If you have anything left behind. So you go again. My Control Delete and even this area command Control Delete come out onto D to de-select. Now we separated the white and black. Now is going to be easy. You can click on this icon here to get the selection. Or you can hold on Command or Control and click on this little timeline. Now you get the very cool selection here. Now, let's go back on RGB. Let's go back on a layer and just click on Mask to invert the mask, press Command or Control. I. Now take a look. We have this layer. Click on the Remove Background three, press V on your keyboard or you can move it up. So I want to be something like this. I believe this is cool. Now, if I press Z and zooming, I get a jagged white edges. How to solve this problem? It's easy. I'm just going to show you something very cool, which is called clipping mask. Now, first click on the top layer, then go to Adjustment Layer and click on curve. We have to make it a bit darkish. But take a look at here. If I drag this shadow area and make it a bit dark, is going to affect on all of my images, the sky and the trees. But the point is I want to be just be affected on the trees. So what I do is I hold down Alt or Option and put my mouse between these two layers. And you see the icon here and click. It means this curve is going to be just affected. And this layer, which is called clipping mask. And now, just take a look. We make this a bit darker. Now, let's color balance. This image is go to Adjustment Layer, click on Color Balance. We need more. But before we do that, we have something called here for clipping mask. Just do this same Kilby mass. If we click on it, it's going to be clipping mask affected just under these trees and grass areas. So we have red because of this guy, you have every day of yellow and maybe it would have green. And just take a look more reddish. Now, take a look. We change this guy and we just color graded. And if you have a perfect match in composite and holding down Shift and click on curve and color balance, Command or Control G to group it. Right. Now, turn that off and turn off these sky. Because you want to change it with this one. And make sure this one is selected. Press Command or Control T. And going back a bit, hold on Alt to make this a bit larger. And I want this background into. What we do here is just color grading. You come here and a top layer. Let's go to Azure smear layer. Click on Color Balance. Make sure to do the clipping mask to just be affected under trees and just play around with it. A bit of yellowish tone and this ion term in this image. And now take a look. We just changed the background. And if we just colored grade to cool background with different scenarios, the one was more bluish and brights and the other one was totally sunset. You look. Now you guys know how to select anything in Photoshop with the use of channels.
38. Master Blur Gallery for Photographers: How to use biliary gallery or add bilayer to our images. Now, this layer and press Command or Control J to duplicate it. Let's go to Filter, Blur, Gallery and click off the first one, the field blur. By default we get these dots, which has a blur on it. Make sure the center, the place that we don't want to be blurred. It's 0. Look, here, it's blurry, and here is 0. Now, click and point a place that we want to be more blurry. For example, here, I'm going to add more blurred this area. Also here. Click and you can also play around with this, but here it is. Slightly is going to be easy to add. Blair, look, now should be gradual. Here. It's enough. And here I can add more layer. I'm just thinking about it. Maybe here, add a bit of glare to it. So I'm trying to get more attention and the face and just take a look days. Here, it's very natural. It much better than just plain Soft image. So what does begin to this image? In effect panel we have something called bouquet. We can add book into our image. Look on the light range. If we put this white and black on top of each other, the kind of create the bouquet. But before that we have to increase the light bouquet. So I'm just going to increase it. And I'm going to play around with the bouquet color. So it's getting much interesting. So I'm just going to play around with this and see if I can put these two on top of each other to get this kind of very cool effect here, say. So, always play around with this and put this on top of each other to get what you really like. I think this is cool and you can play around with this increase of a light bouquet to get more light to your book, your nuts. I mean, this is going to be something that is nice. Now, this area, and also, I want to get more attention here. Click here, one click and make this a bit less blurry. So here is 0, here is less blurry. Now the attention is here. Look how maybe we can add more leverage this area as well. And look how beautifully would just be the use of field layer. We created a very cool image. Let's see before and after, before, after, before, after. And how cool is that? Alright, let's go to another Blur Gallery which is called iceberg first, Mac Control J to duplicate Islamic and compare this, go to Filter Blur Gallery and click on Iris Blur. By default, we get something like this. This is really good for kind of face or unclick on top of this and dragging to the left and a right to make it exactly the size of the face, maybe this one and this one. Now tried to make it more blurry. The thing is we are going to make a blurry background. But with the help of these two, I want to make it gradual. So I'm increasing this. And then it goes into this one as well. And we just dragging this is going to be very harsh. But when I put it inside is going to be very gradual. Cool thing about it is this handle can be separated. It means if I hold down Alt or Option and click on one of these, I can take that up. And this is going to be very interesting. So I can make it more up, maybe click and drag and we put it this point, click and drag to put it here. Then click and drag to put it under the chin. Here. Now we have a very cool selection. Now. We can make it less blurry as well. We don't want to be like this, maybe a bit now gradually to see which one is a very, very realistic. I believe this is very cool when you're really, really okay with it. Just press OK. And now let's compare this Iris Blur before and after. See how natural and how easy is that to create a blurry background for your image and for your portrait. So especially for photographers that cannot spend lot of money on lenses with 1 to a blurry background configuration. This is the best option for your guys. Use iris blur to blur your Portrait images background. Let's go to another example which is called tilt shift, which is a very, very interesting medical policeman. It's better you guys to do a selection, especially for this couple W on your keyboard. Select subject. Let's see if the Photoshop can just select these two couple. Yes, it is. Press Command or Control J. For now, let's press Command or Control J or blue backgrounds or we keep the original one and you work on this one, right-click on it and make sure you convert it to a Smart Object. So anytime we can just come back and change the configuration. Now, let's go to Filter, Blur Gallery and this time tilt shift. The cool thing about teaching is if I drag this up, just bring it down, guys. I want to put it here. Now. If I put it here, I'm telling it here is going to be very sharp and this is going to be gradually increasing. So I'm just, I'll keep it here for now. And just put your mouse you to get this sign and drag it up. So I'm telling Photoshop until here, which is the bride, is going to be sharp, then is going to be gradually blurry. So here is sharp and dead End of the image till the back is going to be blurry. And just take a look. And let's see before and after, before, after. Just zoom in a bit. Preview, turn off. Tana. See how cool is that. So we just blurred the background. You can increase the blurriness. You see this halo around these two person is because when you want to do this kind of work and you separate the couple, this is what you have to do, guys want to turn that off for now. So basically what I do is you have to just right-click and for now, just rasterize the layer. And I want to just do a selection around this couple. Right-click, feel and content aware. So basically you have, do remove these two from this first image so you don't get that kind of halo. You see big Content Aware. You have something called like this. So make sure you do a proper selection actually, because mine is really cool. So is it should be something like this. And if I come here, I can make it better. Again, add a mask to it, press B on my keyboard, press X and just can bring these areas back at me. So this area, which is very cool, I can just bring it back. Then I can work on it and make a very cool, shallow depth of field. So before you start and working on the adding the blur, make sure you do the content error and remove these two from the first image from the BG or the background image. Then you have this top image, and then you can create a very natural image. So that's a trip and points to you guys, use it. Let's go to another example, which is pass, spin and Blair. So just selected this car and it was easy actually, on top of this. Now, right-click on this, make sure the background image is on. Convert to Smart Object. Then go to Filter, Blur Gallery and password. It pass blur. Wanna make this car, it's going to be like it's moving. So I can just put my mouse on this point and bring it here. So I'm just telling you this is the direction. Now I need to add more direction. Click. And just for here, just you have to double-click. And again, colleague and double-click. So it is going to be the car direction. Double-click. Now we can increase the speed. If you get this halo again, you have to remove the score from the background. Again, the same thing that we had to do with previous one, the couple. But for demonstration now, I'm just going to show you how the tools work. And for the tapper, it's going to be changing the look of the blurriness. And here go less or right, cool. Now, everything is cool, but the only problem is the tires. We need to add a Spin Blur to the tires, but that's why we separated the car from the background. Let's press volcano. So it means the background has the movement and has the past blur. Cool. Let's come to the car that V just separated it, right-click on it and convert to a smart object. Now let's go to Filter Blur, Gallery and Spin Blur. Now this time we get this single point which is exactly four tires. Now, make sure the size is matching with the tires. Just going to come here and play around with this to make it more or less. The same thing with other terms. It up. Maybe it is, maybe it up. Cool. And you're okay with it. Just preview. Very nice Press. Okay, now take a look at it. Just be use of past Beller and Spin Blur. We just make these car, it's like a moving car is going very fast. Actually. See how the bilayer gallery is very useful in Photoshop. Now, I want to show you something else actually, in this tilt shift area. There is another way to blur the background, but this is the simple way. If you come to filter bilayer and click on Guassian blur, you can do a very normal biliary thing to your image. So the Guassian blur is a normal way of blaring any image in Photoshop. And it's very fast and quick. That's why most of the time people use Gaussian blur for simple images. But for professional way, we have to use field blur, Iris Blur, tilt, shift, and pass, and a spin Blair in Photoshop. Now you guys know how to use bilayer Gary, do a lot of practice because these tools and these filters are very useful in Photoshop and especially in photography.
