1. Introduction: Hi everyone, This is Megan and watercolor artist based in Bangla. My watercolor journey started in 2018 when I accidentally picked up a watercolor set at a supermarket. Then after bad, I tried exploring it a little bit, drag bending a little bit and then concluded that watercolor is not for me. And I think I didn't touch. It. Said Wendy named Dean. And then when the logged on struck, that is when I really started working on watercolor and I just fell in love with it. So this was the turning point for me and I just picked up this leaf. So this is the thing that leaves, which I just pick up a big up during one of the morning walks and I thought, let me try painting this. And then I came home and I just did this and this was the result. And then I got a comment from my husband that you have just glue that leaf onto this paper. And then when, you know, all my confidence scheme came back in and then after that there was no stopping. And here you can see a few of my works, those, and some of these you might see in the upcoming classes. And as you can see, leaves are one of my favorite things to paint still. And this is a village board which I have sorted. I have been derived from a photograph. See again, there's this leaf are dry leaves. Autumn. See me something for Christmas. And this sort of what today we are going to learn is of a symbol, one of any of these, again, you have these middleware. So this is spin did this I painted from real life reference. So that is also one of the things that I really liked the link and fill. So let's find out what we are going to do today. In this class, we are going to talk about how you can get your inspiration from nature. Because when you each, you can always be original. And we're going to create this beautiful book, Bach, which is simple, yet elegant and beautiful. And you're really going to enjoy this because he can do this in a short period of trying. And I'm going to teach you how to do these different kinds of elements. And as a class project, you're going to try this. And believe me, it's going to teach you a little hairy things which are going to help you later. So let's start with our class.
2. Materials: So your other materials that we are going to need, so we're going to pin this bookmark, and these are the floral elements that we're going to add. And this is that what, that we're going to add. And as you can see here, I have unmuted rules. So this is like more realistic kind of rules which I have assurance from this. And these are loose diagnose. So you can clearly see the difference between the realistic one and lose Taiwan. And here is the watercolor paper. So we're going to need one big sheet like this for practicing. And then one sheet which has been in a rectangular shaped to meet the bookmark. Here I have my things that I knew. Do water the loose you can use any watercolor is that you want. Then do jaws of photo. This is though, what the girl waterproof, fine liner that which I have written this textures. So it's advisable that you use a waterproof one. Otherwise, you can use any kind of brush ban or calligraphy pen or anything that you have availability you. Or if you wanted to just skip writing this word, then you can write your name or you can do any sort of writing hill that's up to you. And then I have the benzo and then reload this just to, you know, write these letters so that for that you have a good Georgia length. So for that, then I have to show, and then I'm going to use only this one brush. And this is our normal range from Rosemary and number 6 it is. And this is a size you can see. So this gives me, I think this is more like diegetic BOD. And I have some plaza with new selected event on when to use them as an evidence and the name exactly as is. But it is always a good idea to get some flaws. Do is to get a feel of how your composition is going to look like. So here I have like these tuples is, and then we have this susan flower. And then I have easier used sawdust to whatever I did find from my garden. I have small bag and garden. So from that vertebrae, good kid. So I have got the pill. So like this, I'm just going to again in Egypt, just like this. You can see this is how the composition is. We have two big flaws than a few. And then just kind of flower I don't have so I can put it in this collection year and N1, N2, N3 types of leaves there. So basically collecting these types of flaws and leaves from variable you can, if you have a God document electron did, or it can go outside and you will just pick up some white flaws and just leave it there just to get a feel for what that policy looks. Just to see the difference. We have a final step here. And then you have these fine means. We joke on me know, sip of do then you have Boolean. One useful repeat is random. And in this one you can see a find stimuli and then the slate, this on your site. The board set both of the sides are on this symmetrical. Then yet this is a medical leave. And you can see that how the leaves are going, the appointed, these lines are drawn and they are all basically different shapes, so there's no symmetry between both the sides. And then we have this symbol. This is a blue P, leave and then maybe have the proper shape or for the EPO, this is like appointed like this one around one like this. If it's a proper move kind of shape, he'll have the weeds on this one. So you can see. So these are just, this is just an exercise for you. Do your own, just observe how the iron lineage and, and that will help you come up with a composition like this. So let's start with our second FADH, which is that missing the different elements that we have here.
3. Practice Flowers: Okay, so let's start with the elements that we have. So the main one that has the roles floor, and then we have when smaller, Gloria, and then the third floor. So I equity let you know how to have you're going to do that. So I'm just writing your rows. So basically, as you can see in this arose its culmination of lots of c shaped bad duns. And since we are not going to do any realistic thing here, we're just going to observe the overall, overall InDesign or bad and that we can see. So what I see is like this CC shapes here, which are broad in the center and then so big it's basically like a crescent shaped to have so that, that dueling are going to start. I'm using just some red here. And the send-off, he will start with like two or three shapes. Like this. Pinion. You stopped in, press your brush alertly and then lift it up. So this is shift that you're going to get, but we are not going to do Lake proper Christian shapes like this. Otherwise, your rows is, although it's a loose style rules, but yet it feels very unnatural if you do like this, you know, very symmetrical shapes. If you've painted like this with proper C shapes. So although this also looks nice, but it also looks very unnatural and very symmetrical in which we do not find in nature. So this in that we are going to avoid. So let me show you this one's more. So we'll make this one. And then two smaller 134. You have to start in the center. And be careful about your white gaps because we don't want one, don't much like Gap. And you also don't want to do a little bite again. So once this is done, you can gently wash of laterality. So then the pigment is less on the brush. And then we're going to start at this, start at the point, and then press the brush and then go up. Like this. Same thing. If you think it has become too late, then you can add more pigment on it and then make this so you don't have to worry about the shape too much. Then we overlap a little bit here and then start a name to special bristle brush and then just lift it up like this. And then you will start your seal brush and then just lift it. So this is how we're going to do the roses. And if you think there's less color, then you can always come back. And if you bid colonial in their life, it is still wet. So this is our Lewis died rose. As you can compare these two and see that you don't want these kind of cause. And men don't want to leave too much of a finite length in between. Now we've come to the second clause when Isaac and Florida is inspired by this Susan. So as you can see here, I'm just going to use this, Right? Yeah, look, I look, and then just randomly I'm leaving a little bit of white gap. So what I'm doing is specifically around thing. And I'll then she led this knowledge base emitter gave it all one could do circles like this. Just like this. You just wanted to get this outline. And by the wide gaps, I'm leaving in between, just like that. Now before this dries, I'm going to add a lithium problem in the center like this. And then just, I just touch my brush and just lift it up, butt and lift it up one or two times. And then we're just going to let it spread on its own and dry. So this is our second floor. This is not any kind of loss or I'm just going to write all fraud to heal. And then we have gum two on this one. So I'm going to use some blue blood thus been. And what, what basically we have to do is you have to look at triangular shaped like this. So it will start broad. And then as we go off we have to narrow down. And now once we have loaded the brush, we are not going to load it again. So what we will do is start like this, a few random dogs. Okay, Then again, you have to loosen up your hand and we don't want to do lead does dogs. Again, this is not what we're looking at. Moose imagery, nothing. It's going to go with naughts latest randomly. Just keep this the same shape in mind and then just continue with the flow. So once you reach off free, that you can just wash your brush and bipedality. No need to add anymore gunner, and not lighten the color uphill. So that's it. So basically this is what the owner can effect. You do one more. So this triangle, you can change the shape. It doesn't have to be straight like this. You can do like this, like this, like this. Since he can see the dots. I'm not doing anything symmetrical. And then a swash. And the miss like this continued key. Let's do one more quickly. Thoughts like this.
4. Practice Leaves: Okay, So let us do the leaves now. So a lot of sense. So I'm just going to use greens than I have heel. This is the animal and so as you can see, this one, always less your hands like this and we get confined lines. Just use the tip of the brush. And as you can see here, they are grounded. So we're just taking inspiration from that. So you're not going to do, and you know, we're just using this brush. And it's very simple to create leaves. Their own Rush started with the basic coffee and then if, then, again, to make it look more natural, to just change the direction of the leaf a little bit. The basic technique is start with a point rationale for V2. And then these things you can always connect on if you want, you can just leave it. So you'll get an IV like this one. As you can see the edges, they have their leg Saul. And then if you want an alternate also like on a VCR, one is here, one is he like that are the lies. You can stop them at the same point with the sites. Okay. We just submitted overlap here. Like this. So this is how you're going to do and when you do this. So actually they are going to be smaller. So we might not get this kind of a long leave and these pointy shapes and all. So that gives you a just going to use that dip. And so let me show you that also for this one. So if you want to do the same thing on a smaller scale than what again with like this. And then just use the tip of the brush. And this still the same only value plus the brush. You don't base it too much, only the IP feeling depressed. This shown that link that you can make eq-num of one. And then the second leaf that I have heel is amazing. Belong sap green phone tablet. So these gully, it's a leaf shape as you can see here. On with this. So we start with a debug the brush and then repress and then lifting up again. Dod this, and then lift. And then you want to leave a little white gap. We should vein this and let this slowly start, press halfway through and then lift up. And then very thin line we want in this Endo. So thank this. You can vary the size. Alleged one leaf can be unnerving longer. And this again one and have done in this bookmark in the Vishaka. Okay, So this is liquid film or Duke. And then we have this green leaf hill, which is basically like this one which we did before, used as green again and then they will do hill. So again, you stopped the thin line like this. And then what we're going to do is just please random dogs on the site that the CDs are sorry, this step that we made in the center. So maybe this so this could represent any kind of phone on these lands which helps you find leaves like this. Again, we don't want boot and Omega need dots on anything. We just want to be random shapes like this. Just dab, dab your brush. Just remember the basic shape that you want to get, that you wanted to flood it to become NADH on the ball. So we just put less hill. And then the c, This will be our collaborative null and this we have only three leaves card just to show you. I just got notified. This one. Yeah, that poly again, you don't get to reference or maybe try this one also. This is basically like this only, but the leaves are underneath, not at the same spot. Piece of this one. Again, you raised your hand like this and the whole width of 1009 and then very thin. So we're just going to use the tip of the brush like this. Like this connects calming fist to absolve via the release of ADH and district women did that going up. And then we have this on this side. And then, as you can see in the gap is not very uniform. So once you get the hang of it, then you just come to you at this stage. Then. Just like this one way out. Okay, so this one is like loosely inspired by this. And then we have this timeline help add some brown to the gleam with this one. Again, the same thing. And then small leaves on the hill. Human is hill. So I'm not making this shape. Basically we're just being this automate thing which is there. And then on Monday when hill and ammonia exam, but instead of starting that at the same point behind automated. So this is our basic things that you're going to need for this one. And let me tell you about this. The blood also that how you can easily write it if you're remote then the graphene all then it should be very easy for you. Then since I'm also not a calligrapher, I just read an ad and gossip font. That's all. Let's have a look at that in the next class.
5. Writing Text: Okay, So here is what you have to do is just to draw two lines. Have to be very light, which you cannot display areas. I think I'm just going to put it a little higher because we have t which is going down. So like this, you can write any word you want if at all and do right, granted you, then you can use your own word. Shorter ARS I have, I have PR love and have patience. So just like this, you can use any words that you want. So just like this. And then you can just copy the same style or you can hide some other style of G. So I'm just going to so nothing special. Yeah, it's just a constant for ment, which I think I know from my 40 year old because I have to make her ride that every day. So this is done. And then just beneath the guts for the day like this. And then we're just going to outline it with this 90. So this is a fine liner which is blind aids, so it is a thicker one. You can use any as per your friends. Any kind of getting rid of these dive that Chile, we have to leave it for drying a little bit. And then once it is gi, give you just going to erase the pencil lines at noon. The next video, we're just going to start with a composition.
6. Painting Roses: Let's now start that painting. This is S will be needing them anymore. So at this point you can also check your water. Do DO need to change it. So my alright, so I'm just going ahead with it on, so make sure your brush is nice and clean. And then this one, I think I'm just going to use this brighter and then make sure that as Mach, too much water on the brush. And then similarly, we'll start here with Amy, C-shaped, crescent shaped pedals. This will be the center and then, and then this, and then lift, then 10 and then place and then lift. Then during Rosh, the national level to lighten the color means theme. I think this and the more pigment on the loan onto ones to be enlightened dark nodules is that you're going to paint out and do look alike. It's one way too much about that. And better when we brand new Galatians, go ahead and keep adding. It seems like most of us when our son and the second one yield. Again the same thing. Like this. Then like this. And you can always done your big book. Like a depends on our district does some strum on peripheral done that before. But for me like I do whatever is easy. And this is quite easy. Otherwise, it's difficult to do that, which are on the top. Then I think one more we can add audio and maybe a little too dark color. And you can always keep your practice sheet handy. So before trying year, if you're under trial this then that's a good idea. Always. Also your flaws if you have them, just to keep that inspiration going. And we have to do the roses on the other side as well, some of the Sun. I'm just going to quickly go and do next.
7. Painting Other Flowers: Well cancel the goals is on, on Done. Then I can close some game as in the notebook for this phenomenon, shape each other more and much more both. Good gum she liked. You can leave. And then just you've dot gov has them spread out. I want to let them try not to just move on to the dotplot, just confluent. And as I told you before, arranging your flowers. And he's like This will help, you know, get an idea of who become false, something like this. So what visibly on the elements are two or three big flaws than four or five small, medium flaws like this, and maybe three or four like this one, like lavender plaza, DAG. Or you can even add berries instead of this if you want. And then three are three types of leaves. And the focal point should be also always start with the bigger floss and then the median, and then this will just move in that same sequence. Okay, so knowledge is start with the leaves and Asana, you the blue flag. Today in the triangular shape. Knowledge asymmetrical, manual halfway through, just wash the brush. So then the dark buttons a little lighter. Now this come back and add this. Okay, so our flaws I think are not done. We still have to wait for the yellow one too, but the black thing because otherwise it would spread to it. So in the next video, we're just going to go ahead and do our leaves.
8. Painting Leaves: Okay, so let's start. You can use any of the greens that you have. Sap green, light green, dark green, olive green, three or four shades of green, what, that, which ever you like. And when I stopped with these leaves here. So we're just gonna do this and lift, dammit, just give a like Gap. And on the one they entered this Macleay be smaller than that? Well, I think that's it with the sludge. Then let's go ahead and do the second one. For that one, we can mix our middle light green. So this taking this yellow sap green here. And then I think some of them and yellow, Good. So depending on what kind of color you on on kind of like just the bedding yellow. So I think for me this is just going to add these leaves which we had known before. So I'll raise your hand like this. And then this using the default, the brush in one piece is huge. And spend this time make sure that your brush is not going to be loaded to get water called the teeth and just dip, press and lift up. And through. This is a very loose style of composition. We are not adding any kind of gift devs or anything. Yeah. So that's it. All of these other and then the last one. So for that one we are going to use emerald green just to SPIF for 10, 9. So let me then this dot dumps into the leaf through there's not much space here, so I'm just going to add this much soon. That's it. I think we are done with this model. And the last bog is those black thoughts on the idea of the flow. So let's go ahead and do that. And then one more, too much water. And then just seven or eight. They really just, if we just look like a filament. So this one has had Man, this leaf, that's okay. All right. This is now done. And as I said, you can use the composition anyway you like. And always start with the big floss and the medium than the longer ones. So longer lens can be anything like on a Windows or a depth of grouses, auto berries, anything you can add, and then the leaves of three or four types. And like this, you can just create this nice bookmark.
9. Class Project: So that's it. Your bookmark is a null done and I hope that you enjoyed making this fit me. And I want to, for your class project, I want you to try the same thing. If you want to continue change the position of the flowers a little bit, the leaves a little bit, and use your own colors. And just all put your little twist to it. And I would just love to see your version of it and posted under the project section. And if you wanted to see more of my work or follow me on social media everywhere you can find me by the name, by The Art Bug And thank you so much and I'll see you next time. Take care and bye bye.
