1. Introduction: Hello and welcome to the class. Here you learn how to draw T amazing and cute squirrel. My name is pathetic a letter, and I'm a professional illustrator. I've been drawing most of my life and have done work for small companies, video games, YouTubers and much more. I know that sometimes getting started, withdrawing a new subject or just doing in general consume hard and quite intimidating. I've been there, and that's why I've created this quest where I'm going to show you step by step. The best and simple sways to drop. This is a perfect glass for beginning artists that want to start with something fun, like animals, or for someone that just wants to try new and different subjects. I'll think it's drawing different positions, like standing, sitting and sleeping and also different perspectives like front, back and side view. For this class, you'll only needs a piece of paper and a pencil or pen. Or if you prefer a computer with the software of your show, it's like photo shop and a drawing tablet. It's totally after you and either way will work perfectly. At the end of this class, you'll be able to draw this amazing animal in the position of your choice, and you'll also improve your drawing skills in general. Thank you for your interest in this class. There's no reason to exit eight, so join now and I'll see you soon. 2. Use The Right References!: Hello and welcome back. Before starting our drawings, I want to go over some places where you can go and get references to help draw. Remember that references are always important when you're learning to draw anything. Beat animals, buildings. Are people. Be sure to find some images to help you. Alright, that are a lot of places where you can find some good reference images by forbids being pinterest.com and Splash.com, pixabay.com. And finally, pixels. Cough, simply right on the search tab what you're looking for, and you'll find what you need. If you're looking for a specific breed or species, you can always take pictures of your own plants or ask your friends if they own any bet. Taking your own photos means you will have the exact reference that you need and don't need to spend as much time in searching. Now, the challenge here might be to convince your bed to stand still. But you can do this either way. Finding references online or taking your own photo is always helpful. I also have a Pinterest board full of animal photos that you can check for inspiration and references. I'll leave the link so you can go there and give it a look. Alright, this is it for now. Let's go for the next video where we will talk a little bit about proportions. So I'll see you there. 3. Playing With Proportions: Hello again. Now in this video, I just want to talk a little bit about proportions and how you can play with them to create more interesting drawings of squirrels. When drawing something new, I like to break everything down into simpler shapes. This can work both if you're drunk something more cartoony or more realistically, breaking an object or subject into simple steps is always really helpful. Now in the next videos, we'll be drawing some swirls and play a bit with their proportions. And doing this will help a lot into creating more interesting animal characters. For example, let's look at the squirrel here. They already have quite some interesting shapes, but why not go a little bit further with them? Exaggerate depth, like here in this word in the Stone. I loved and still love the designs in the morphic. They're so good. And as you can see, the tail looks bigger than the body. It's usually not that big, but exaggerating it makes the character a bit more interesting. Peaking certain features from an animal and exaggerating them will give your drawing some more personality. So do have fun with this. In the next videos, we will be drawing some squirrels in different positions, but the principle is always the same. Find the shapes, draw them, and exaggerate its proportions. Alright, so without further ado, let's trying some squirrels. I'll see you in the next video. 4. Draw a Standing Squirrel - Side View: Hello and welcome. We're now going to start learning how to draw some rodents and small animals, and we're going to start with the squirrel. And as always, if you seen the other animal videos or any other animal courses that I have, we're going to start in the standing position. So first the side view, then the front, you and finally, a back view. So I have here my guidelines. I'm going to give this image to you so that you can use it for your exercises if you want. If not, you can do your owns. So it's very simple, just a few lines to help us know where everything is going to be in which space every part off the ball is going to occupy. So, as always, we're going to start with our base shapes so we know how to draw simply our squirrel. So we're going to start with a head, so it's going to be something kind of, Ah, almost a diamond shape, but not really regular. So something like this even mkt icily. Love it. Don't don't worry about your lines. If they aren't looking perfect right now, it's fine. This is just a sketch if the first sketch, even so we have here are head. It's a little bit squashed. And now we can add here some years, really simple years, something like this. You can make them bigger or smaller, depending on how you want your squirrel to look as well. They usually are small, but if you want to add a little bit more character to read and personality to it, you can exaggerate certain parts off the body. Now we're going toe. Adhere the front leg. It's beat, Ah, triangular shape with some course something like this. Almost like a tear shape inverters. So we have, you know, front leg. And now we can ads the back part of our body. So something like this also kind of a tear shape inverted but bigger. And now we couldn't connect both off. This shapes two simple lines. Something like this. So there we go. Now all we are missing is our tail. So for now for the shapes, we can just make a big circle around here and then a curved line just connecting here so really simple. We don't need to make details right now, So here are our shapes. This is the shapes were going to use to make our squirrel. And this here you can see where everything is going to be with this lines here. So afterwards, when we're finished with our shapes, we can go and make a basic sketch with a bit more details tune to our squirrel so we can adds the posts. We can add a bit off the face. We can make a more detailed tale, and then finally we goto our final lines. So I'm just going to change your the color off my brush. So it's not the same, and you can see it clearly. So at a start. So here we have. As you can see, I'm now doing my face that the heads off the squirrel a bit more detailed so adding here little nose can also adds an eye here as bigger a small is. You want something like this, for example, Now the years start with the front here the year that we see better. Maybe it's too big. Wanted smaller. Yeah, something like this sighting up. I prefer something like this. And now when we finished with the face, we can go and do the rest. So we have here one of her legs, the front leg. So so for the poor, Just two lines coming up here, something like this. And it's good. Of course we are doing something more cartoony number. Here we have beautiful or, uh, shifts to the back of our body. So remember, just observed the shapes off the animal. You are the person you're trying to draw and adapt. Tempt what you want. And don't be afraid to explore the shapes and exaggerate the shapes. It's a bit this poor here is a bit different. Intent tends to be longer than the ones in the front. Okay, So that you can see I exaggerate a lot in this part here and we can even exaggerated a bit more go. And now a really big tail. You can even make you bigger. Tell that I'm doing right now. It's totally up to you and the style you want to Good doing. You can even if you want. When you're finished, you raise here some of the lines. You know you want to be seeing them later on when doing your final lines. And we have here are basic sketch for or squirrel. Now, of course, As you can see, I made kind off skinny squirrel. So I I exaggerate a lot in this, um in the weight off my shape. So we have very thin run here in here and then more rounds in the back and in art sale. But you can always explore and try new things. For that, we could make more Chevy kind of squirrel. You can also search for images and drawings to see what people usually go for what they do . How do they explore the shapes? It's always interesting to see and you can learn a lot. Tweet it and you can explore yourself with your drawings as well. So when we're done with our sketch here, we can go and do our final lines as always. So I'm going to grab here making new layer, go grab my pen brush, and we're going to do some final lines. If needed. We can make it is to a bit more transparent. Don't be afraid to repeats as much as you need. A It's perfectly normal. It will happen. Who? Most of the times won't be happy with the lines you've made right at the first try. As you can see, I'm repeating them lots until I am happy with what I have. I will Spit is up a bit. This part now, uh, but if you do prefer to see the whole thing to say and I will start to make IDs a bit slower so you can see how I work my lines. So take your time to try different styles and see what do you like best? So here we go. We have She adores funnel lines of our squirrel. And now all you're missing is adding some color. So I'm going to make here and you, layer, and I'm going to pick you my paint buckets choose a color and then just should I have my lines more or less close So we don't have the whole document painted. And here we go. I choose the kind of orangey color when they're finished with the paint buckets, you can just come pick up your brush again and finish painting all that was left and paint it Not for four. Here, we could use a darker tone and just have some white here in the eye. And now we pick up a lighter color, but close to the one we have us for the base collar. And we ads some lighter spots in our squirrel. So usually around T I in a muzzle right here, obits in our chefs and belly. And then just here, a little bits. You not sail. Indeed, Teoh exterior parts of art sale. And now, if you want, you can also adds some shadows, so you can either to speak a darker tone and add them. Or you can come up here, make a new layer, choose the base salary half ah, put your layer in, multiply and take a bit off its capacity, and then just adds your shadows. So let's say that the light is coming from this side and let's adhere some very simple shows. How, um, finished. You like your drawings to look. It's totally up to you. Sometimes people prefer drawings toe more sketchy. Others like to have it really with a finished look. It's totally up to you to spend more or less time in the drawing. And whenever you happy withdrawing, we can go for our next bows, which is going to be still a standing post. But in the front view, so our ships will be a little bit different, but it will also be very simple. 5. Draw a Standing Squirrel - Front View: All right, so next we're going to make our front view off our squirrel standing, so I'm just going to very quickly moved. It's on a big toe position that I I'm happier about. So there we go. It looks a bit better right now. And then we can start drawing are squirreling a front view, starting as always with our main shapes. So once again, I'm going to start with our heads. So at diamond shape, a bit off a squashed diamonds shape something like this. Now, since then you years coming right here and now we can make already so we can look at things a bit better. The back, the back part of our bodies. So the shapes for that and we're going to have a shaped something like this so kind off a mountain shape, but the bottom of it, it's curved and knots in a straight line like this off course. If you want, you can make first a mountain shape and then make here or curve. If it helps you not for the rest off the front of our body were going to have here this shape right here and now we're joined here curves. We can have it even because they usually have the front legs apart. So something like this. And now all you're missing is her tail. So a big circle bit your circle is much as you want, make it as bigger as you want. And now here, just this s line. So we know where are till begins. So this is it for our base shapes. It's going to tilt it a bit because it seems like our squarely office falling a bit to the right. So there we go. And now a few wants for so that it's not as confusing you can you raise the lines that are overlapping each other so you can see better what is happening in your trying. So there we go. We have here are based shapes. So now we're going to make a rough sketch. So let's see. We can start like before with their heads, our ears right here. Go along with its slowly Don't You don't need to rush it and you can repeat. Tony knows here our eyes once again and now we can go for our body. So very simple. Um visible Bos Very simple lines for the pose like this. And now here we have our chest and he other front book. I'm also changing here things to be a bit closer to its shell. As you can see, I'm not strictly following. Oh, are first sketch, which is normal, and you can change your mind while doing you're drawing. You will change your mind many times. Aan s ness line right here and a big circle. Something like this. So change wherever you want to change and when you're done, we're going to make our final lines. So once again, relax and take your time. Quit your lines, decide where we want to start and how and just go from there I came doing. Not everything has to be symmetric unless that's the style you want to have. You can make all of this that I've been doing with small strengths off hair. So we have you have a Morphosis squirrel or you can make long lines like I usually go with you are you can go with a mix off both so that we go. We have here or squirrel. Take your time at small details that you want toe ads. And whenever he finished, we can go and quit. So let's pick up here the colors we had before and add them toe our new squirrel and just feel everything until they don't have any whites showing up inside your squirrel. And if there's something going outside of your lines just to raise it, the bits that are running from like this just relax. Have fun. Don't worry about too much about how things are looking. Just go with it. If you're not happy that you can repeat as much as you want, and with time and practice, you will get there. You get where you want your drawings to be. You just need to have patience and in practice, a lots and very important to have fun. And don't get frustrated with it. So we've picked up that color over there, and now we do the light parts of over squirrel. So be it here a lot of little bit here on our tail. There we go. And now, once again, if you want to, we can just adds our shadows. So let's try to making the same direction. You don't need to to make something very complex right now. You're just practicing. Unless you want something really finished, you can take more time with this. It's totally up to you. Like I said, it can be also up to your style. You can have something a little bit more sketchy and it's unfinished. Look, and that regal we have here are front view, and now next we're going to make the back view. It's going to be very similar to this one, but we're going to have less details, and we're going to be seeing less over squirrel. 6. Draw a Standing Squirrel - Back View: so all right for the back view we're going to have just like I said, similar shapes as a front view, but last detailed. So let's start. So I'm going to make our shapes first. So I have here my base shape layer, and we're going to start this time instead of the heads. We're going to start with these back shape off the back part off the body says it's the part that's going to be in the front in this position. So once again, we start with our mountain shape. So if you want, you can make completely amount shaped mountain shape like this and then adds that curved that we talked about before. So you have here the back now we can adhere our heads. So that's Diemen that squashed diamond shape at 10 years we did before. There we go. You can even have here beats off the front, showing up, including one off our legs, front legs, one of our front legs over here. Something a bit more like this. So there we go. Now all we are missing is or tail. That's going to be really big once again, and something around here. So big circle, and then you can have aan s line over here. There we go. We have here are shaped. Now we just need to make a rough sketch, like always. Now, off course. If you feel like you need Teoh and you don't feel yet confident about this shape off the animal. Your drawing repeats as many times as you want those shapes until you think you have the hang of it. You don't need to make exactly the same shapes as I do. You can change them to something that you prefer, and it's more close your style. When your government about your shapes, you can step up and go for the sketch. And the same applies here as well. If you're not 100% happy about your sketch, you can repeat as much as you want until you're happy and want to go for your final lines. So don't rush it. Repeat as many times as you see fit, and when you're happy with your drawings, you can have your final lines in your final drawing. Here we have oh squirrel from the back or rough sketch, so it's conceit e. This one is probably the easiest one to drop, but I feel that's important sometimes to start with the hardest shapes and positions. And then when you have that figured out, you can go for something that's easier for you. If you follow my how to draw dogs video, you'll notice that these shapes, especially here for the back of our squirrel, are quite similar to when we're drawing a corgi. And there we go. We have here our backfield. So now we're going toe. Add some color and we are done with the standing position. So next we're going toe work on the sitting post position. I always like to draw sitting positions in animals. I always liked their shapes, so let's go have some fun with it. So just very quickly going to color this, want whips, forgot to change years color to Swan, and then we're going to draw some sitting squirrels. Now you can off course, adding a bit off texture when doing this discoloring here. And finally, our shells very simple and very easy. And here we go. We have all our squirrels and tree views, a side view or front view in the back few, and next we're going to draw squirrels sitting, so I'll see you there 7. Sitting Time! - Side View: Hello again and welcome back. We're now going for the second stage of our squirrel drawings, and now we're going to draw squirrel sitting. So I have Here are guidelines that we use before, and I've picked up the colors we used as well, so that we have all squirrels in the same caller. So let's begin. I'm going to create a new layer, as always, pick up here my vessel brush, choose a reddish tone, and we're going to start. So we're going to start with heads just like before. So these diamond shape now we can add here a tiny year, the shape for our here and now we're going to make almost like a mountain shape coming from here with a little bit off a curve and then going down this way. Now, here we have, ah, straight line done here. And from here, we can just make a straight line going down. There we go. So we have our main body right now and here to help us. We can make this curve so we know where our back like is going to be. Also, we can also come up here and adds this wreck Rectangular shape, so we know where our arm is going to be, so you can already see what's happening here. You can already see the shape or squirrel is going to have now. Already missing is once again our tail so we can just make here a curve line and the big circle. Don't be afraid. Toe to make a really big tail go wild with its when drawing in the cartoony style. The fun part is exaggerating the shapes and the sizes off things. So don't be afraid of trying that and see what you like and try a lot off different weights in their drawings. So we have Here are shapes, and now we're going for the detailed sketch, and here we'll play a little bit more with this weight I was talking about with between big shapes and tiny shapes. So let's start here. I'm going to pick up a darker caller and snow. I'm going to start drawing here. Our heads are tiny years. You can even make both off them, showing if you want to. Our I once again feel free to try out different types off eyes. It's totally up to you. You can even exaggerate you. And for example, the I goes out here so you can come up over here. And he raised this raid. So your eye is going outside off the heads. Play with that. See what you like. So something like this can happen. Swell. Just try things and see how you like your drawings, too. To look like it's all about experimenting and, as always, having fun. That's all I want you to have funnel while drawing. So now we come here and make this curve. You can even make it a bit more roundish. So, yes, something like this. All right, so now we can go for arm here. Remember that here. I'm not telling you exactly how to do things. I'm just giving you some guidance and some examples and so that you have some basis for those drawings. And you can work out your style and your drawings from there. So a very important thing to know is that there is no wrong way to go about it. Everyone works their own way so that we go. You have here 14 now here. So we have here a straight line, but we don't want this we're going to have here a bit off our chests and belly line coming up here and then from here we have tea back leg appearing from here. I can even make it a bit. Yes, something more like this. It's exaggerate a bit more. This curve here. Yeah, something like this. And now don't forget here our back. So it's almost finished. Once again, all we're missing is our sale. So as you can see, this is the way I go about it. But you can work another way. Like I said, there's no wrong way to go about it. So best things out and experiments and have fun. We can make just the line here like this are We can make some stray lines, showing up some hair or some for some stray for lines. Also, don't be frustrated if you have to repeater online's, even if it's just for the sketch. If you're not happy with the line you have, just do it over and over again until you're happy. As you can see, I'm also taking my time here. Okay. I think I like it this way. Let's just change here. This line and there we go we have Here are rough sketch for a squirrel, so it's pretty lineup now and now we're going for final lines. Then finally, at some color tour score. All right, so pick up your pan or the brush you like to use, and we're going to start making online's slowly and steady. Also, take the time. If you're doing this, even if you're doing this traditional way to try out the friends, bands or pencils that you might have or different brushes, you might discovers something that you like better than what you're using right now. Try out new things also, if you're not completely comfortable and confidence about doing everything in the computer , you can also tow your sketch in the sketchbook and then take a picture of it or scan it's and continue your work on the computer. Also, when finishing up your drawing. If there are things you don't like, you can change them now in your final lines. So there we go. We have here our squirrel. Now all we're missing is some coloring, just like we did before. So let's speak up. Let's make a new layer man pick up here, or colors and add them to our squirrel. Just pick up your paint buckets and then just to raise the parts that go out of its and complete the rests off your coloring with a brush like this, don't forget to had here also, Cem strands. So like. As you can see, I make short lines as opposed for when I make this long lines for my Leinart not going toe . Adhere the whites to the I pick up here for cool right here and now our lighter tone for some parts of our body. So here, here, bit here, on the belly or in the chest in disguise. We can't really see the belly. And then you can also add some bigs here. All right, so now the less part is our shadows. So very simply, Let's Adam go once again. Tryouts. Different things go with your good sometimes and here we go. We are finished with our first view or side view of our sitting squirrel. Now we're going to draw squirrel in the front view 8. Squirrel Sitting - Front View: all right. So continuing your feed, you here and are sitting positions were going to make now are front view. So this time we're not going to start with the hairs I find it's easier to start from the bottom and build up or shapes from there. So we're going to start here with an X, A gun shape right here like this. So it will be the same height as we have here between our lines. Now we're going toe. This is going to be the bottom part of our body. So most of the back legs. Now we're going to build up the upper body parts, so we're going to have here something like this. So this time a Pentagon shaped like this, we can even make it beats longer like this, right? Going to just raised his Oh, good. And I'll finally we have our heads. So once again, our diamond shape a bit squashed around. Here are years and finally a big circle for our tail. So something like this is good for the shapes right now, so we have our shapes. You can already see how it's going to look with our shapes. And now just going to because it looks a bit filters, all right. And now we're going to make our sketch. So picking up here a darker color. And now this time, if you prefer, we can start from the heads making here that beautiful for that. We've been doing our years. The eyes, it's no from here. We're going to make our arms thistle. And here we have Peter for chest showing up, going to erase here bits you can see better. All right, so we have here are posts, our front bus and the bit of our chests. And now we're going to make our back legs so we don't need to use all this space here. If you want to exaggerate more, feel free to. So here we have the Bali lines that we can later make it look like some, um, with some strife for lines. And finally, our big boss. So we're going to have so this time misstep and I'll finally are back, boss. So this time, instead of seeing them from the sides like this, we're going to have something turned tow us so something like this. Okay. And we are mostly done with our squirrel. Now all you're missing. Is that all right? Something like this is enough. I think I'm going toe make here a little bit less. I'm going to race here. This lines a little bit. You may see we have preferred it this way. I heard this way. Let's see. So, as you can see, I'm experimenting here right now to see what I liked the most in this case. So feel free to the same two experiments are just follow and toe the same thing as I'm doing all right. So I think I'm going to leave our sketch like this. And now I'm going to make the final lines. And while doing that, we're going to make our final arrangements to a drawing. So I'm to start this time here with the eyes, all right? Just like we did before. So we cool. And now here our ears now the arms and the chest area. So something like this. And now the same this way. All right, Now you can make the post. Let's see. Let's make them turn this way. Let's see. Yes, this looks Spencer. All right, now we can try here and make here some loose trays of for like this and so experimented a bit more without drawing. And now we're going for the back legs. There we go, now the other sides and finally here, the line for Bali. Just going to raise this bit here. I'm not completely happy about it. And now here, let's try to make her beg us a different way. So with similar shaped as we've been doing very simple, like this, No, it. And now finally, our tell, just a big frowned line. All right, We are done with their lights and now once again just adds our coloring. So I'm going to pick up here. Our colors are usual collars and add them to our squirrel very simply and very quickly. And now fill up the empty spaces the same we've been doing so far. Of course, feel free to try different colors and different color skins. And you are also different ways off painting. Ah, explore the program, the program you're using and find out what kind of tools and precious you like toe use the most. Whoops. All right now all missing is here. The lighter tone and you're a bit here. And then here, all this area in the center, we have our lighter tone. They're ago and on our tail we can't see anything more off that lighter tone sees. It's turned to the other sides. So now we are missing is our shadows once again so that you speak up our base color and adds some simple shadows, something very, very simple. As you can see, I'm always using the same, um, points where my light is coming from. So it's always coming from this side lips. So it's always coming from this side, our lights. So our shadows are going to be on the opposite side. So there we go. We forgot a bit off a lighter tone around the eyes, so that's at that very quickly. All right, so here we have our squirrel in the front view. So now we're going to make the back few, which is going to be very, very simple because we can see a lot just like in the in team, just like in the standing position. We don't see a lot, so it's going to be very simple 9. Squirrel Sitting, Quick Back View!: So let's then start are back fume. So as I said, it's going to be very simple and very easy. This is going to be very quick, so that's just started. Once again, we're going to have here are ex agan shape. We're making it a big bigger because this time we see a bit more off this back part than the front. But since, as you can see here are, squirrel tends to be very curved. So when seeing from the front, we're going to see a lot off the front parts of our and the upper body part. We're going to see a lot off that, but from behind that part is going to be hidden because off that curve here, so we see a lot off the bottom part and less off the upper body. So we have here are ex agan and if you want, we can still have here our upper body parts. But it won't really need it and also the head, if you want, we want really needed because then we're going to have the tail in front of it. So the tell is going to be occupying most of our drawing here So if you want, we can still make here the shape so you can see what's happening. But now regard just going toe have our tell occupying most of its. So I'm just going to make a big circle like this, and I'm going to erase a bit here. Some of this you can understand it all off. This is going to be invisible, and we're going to just be seeing a bit off the but entail. That's it. Very simple. Now, as always, if you want, you can just draw with me or, if you prefer, just watch the videos. And two afterwards. I think these videos are. We try to build up our video so you can follow me, but it's totally up to you how you want toe work here. So here we have our sketch. We barely need a sketch really here, but I'm going to do it anyway because that's how I like toe work. This is it for our back view. So let's just ads are fun aligns, and we are done also, you feel once you can you can watch the video and start trying from the back view and go from there if you find it easier for you and if it's going to be simple for you. And if you feel more confident starting with that, I like to start from the most complex one and then simplify because then you can take a breather from doing something harder first. So there we go. I have here are drawing and now, once again, we just need toe adds some color, so I'm going to pick up. Here are by scholar once again, we're not going to have a lot of followers years. It's going to be mostly just are based color and shadows. I'm going to still add a little bit off that lighter tone, but not a lot here a little bit. So this is it for it. And now just shadows that once again, they are also going to be very simple. So this is it for our back few, and this is also it for our sitting position. So next we're going to draw our squirrel sleeping. It's going to be very fun and different. We're going to use a lot of different shapes here, so else you there 10. Snooze Time! Side View: Hello again and welcome. We are now going for the third part over squirrels Thursday Unless and we're now going to draw our squirrels sleeping. So we're going to take a different approach here. I don't know how familiar you are with broadens butts. Even for example, if you ever had an Amster, you will notice that usually wrote instead to sleep in a bowl shape. They curl themselves, they trying to hide themselves. Since they are prey animals, they usually they tend to have thes protected position, so they tend to do this. So we're going to draw this. We're going to draw our squirrel in the ball position so very curled up, so very different than what we usually do. Especially if you saw my cats or dogs videos. You see that they are sleeping in a more relaxed way. We're going to try something different now in with different shapes when drawing or squirrels. So let's start as always, I'll start with our shapes. I mean, pick up here, my my pencil. So we're going to start reads around shape, almost like like a balloon. But the bottom of it is going to be straight, so we can start there. So we have here our bottom and then we have a curve like this. So this is our main shape. This is our body. And you can even have here this shape here too. So we know that our beer and head is going to be in this place. And now we can also make here a circle to position are back like and now for the tail we can make. There's two ways we could make this We can make our usual circle way the curve here. Or we can also take this chance and make something different. For example, we can make that detail is going in the but on top of the body is also protecting him and shielding him. So something like this would be good. And this is it we have Here are mine shapes for a squirrel sleeping. You can already see what's coming out of here and how it's going to look more or less. Let's go for a sketch now. All right, so let me pick here another color, and now we're going to shake things up. So let's see. Let's start here. So let's to here a na arm something like this. Now you can also make here a bit off our hands. And with a year like we we talked about like this and now adding the big click and our poll going in front, off the rest here. So let me you raise here a bit so you can see better. That's happening off course. You can make here some toes from the front like and now here's a little bit off the rest of her body surveys your beetle her arm. Yet it looks a little bit better like this. And now we have the rest of her body. And finally, we're going to make our tell. So once again, we can make you some stray, Um, for it's a for and then our toe, something like this. And now you can like here. So there we go. We have Here are sketch. You can see way better now what we're doing. And now when we're happy with our sketch, we can go for our final lines. So let's do this. Create a new layer pick up here, my mental. And now I'm going to start drawing my life's. If you think I'm going a bit too first or too slow even to tell me. I'll try to change my pace for you to understand better. If you're not comfortable with following me while watching the feed, you please feel free toe paused videos and do at your own pace repeat as much as you need. This is very important. I don't want you to feel rushed. Everyone has its own spit, and you just have to find your own Your speeds Don't doesn't need to be the same as mine, so just practice a lot. If you're not comfortable with your sketches it yet just practice tryout things. Experiments, you know. So as you can see, this is very simple to do. It's faster than all the other positions we did so far, I think also, I think it's a very cute one. Whenever you were finished, though, to tell me which position did you like the best to draw off our squirrels? I'm curious. Everyone has their favorite positions off trying. I usually prefer the sitting ones, for example, when drawing animals, so to tell me sure, that with me and which one do you find to be the hardest to do? I find sometimes doing the front views to be harder. Okay, so we have our base collar and now we're going toe Add some lighter color like we usually do. Here we see a bit more off that color in our tail. Since we see a lot off the bottom off the the tell this time beat here. Not a lot. And he had a swell and India. And now all you were missing is this darker color for our back feats. There we go. Also, we could probably adhere, Pete more some lines I can still see a bit of are the rest of the head. And even here we can have a little line idea something like this. Now all we're missing is our shadows. So let's speak up here. They scholar the base color like we usually do, and now we can adhere that. It's simply we don't need to complicate a lot right now. Do feel free to try out your child shadows in a different way or if you don't feel like it . You don't need to add shadows at all. You can just add some color and that sits all right. So we have our side view. And now for the front view 11. Sleeping Head On - Front View: so starting the front view. Now we're going to make similar shapes here. Everything will be turned to us now. So let's start and see how that goes going to pick up here. My parents still, and now we're going to make the same kind of shape we did for our main shape in the side. Few. So something like this, almost like sky look almost like a cauldron. But upside down. Now we're going to make here a circle a bit off a squatch circle shape. This is going to be our heads. Not the only shape releasing is going to be our tail, which is going to be around here something like this, not a circle. And it's overlapping a bit off our body shape here, so I can even erase this bed so you can see better what's happening and if you want, so you can have things properly divided. We can also make here a bit of a circle shape to divide the front part of our body from the back part. So this bigger shape is the back part, and this smaller shape is the front. So let's do our sketch show. You can understand better what we're going after here, Going to draw the head with some years appearing here. Now, here we have a bit off our arms from the front that are a bit hidden. And now we have here the back of her body. So the back legs and you can even make bit off the back. Boss appearing here. Something like this. And now finally, the tail. Very simple. I'm just going toe precise this a bit. So it might just hear the one looks a bit small right now. Something. Yes. Yeah. This is good. Like this. It's and I'll finally we're going to make our final lines. Okay, I'm going to start here with the back with our back legs once against his both sides, sides are pretty similar. You can draw one side of it and then copy pastes. But as always, I to recommend recommend you to do everything so you loan your lines and shapes. And also, it's a good practice. So we have a very round squirrel, almost squirrel disguising himself. Hez a bowl. So whenever you ready, we can call, right? I think that the worst part is always figuring out the shapes off our animals or objects that we want to draw. And from there we can easily do all the other positions. The hard part is figuring out our shapes. Our colors here now hopes going to pick up here this color for bus in here and well, let me see. We can adds a little bit off her. Ah, lighter caller. So, for example, a bit here, not a lot. And also we can add a little bit in here and that's mostly it's so now we can do our shadows. OK, so very simple. Don't overdo it. But if you do like to take more time in this part, feel free to I like to keep my shoulders very simple, but look, like I said before, each person has their own way off doing things. So feel free to work your drawings, how you like them. So we are done with a front view. We have here two balls of fur and now all we're missing is the back view 12. Sleeping Ball - Back View: all right, so let's start it. As always, it's going to be very simple, with very simple shapes. So once again, let's start with our cauldron shape here. So something like this straight line on the bottom. All right, so now on top of it, a curved, almost the same shape, Really the same kind of shape here. So we have here are mind body and this is the top over tell. And now from here we have the rest of your toe. So something like this almost like a mushroom. So this two shapes together assemble a bit of a mushroom, the slice of mushroom. So this is it for our shapes. We can make a sketch. We don't really need it in this case because it's pretty straight forwards what's happening here. But if you to feel safer with it, do the sketch so we can make our stray lines like this and our tail and that we go, we have our squirrel sleeping from a back view. So let's still then our fund aligns. So as you can see, this is really quick, really easy. We take a bit of a breeder from the other two that were a bit more complex. Can relax now a bit more and to a very simple Troy. All right, and now the other side over to So there we go. This is it for it. Technologists bring it a bit closer to the other ones. It's really far away right now. We don't want it to feel alone. So lastly, we're going to other colors, just like we always do. I usually used the paint bucket, um, to give my base color to things. And then I make re touches with the brush. It's faster, and it all also will have helped me decide on the color. So I just pick up colors and add the colors to my drawing. And then, if I'm not really fun of it, I can just change him and try out new colors. So for here we have Now we're going to see this lighter tone a lot here, something like this. I like it better. And now, here on the bottom, Israel, the little bits. And now we don't see any post, so we don't need to ed color to them. So now all you're missing is our shadows. I'm doing something really simple here and there we go. We have, you know, sleeping squirrels. 13. Your Turn! Exercise Time!: Hey, again.
