Drawing Animals: How to Draw a Squirrel

1. Introduction: Hello and welcome to the class. Here you learn how to draw T amazing and cute squirrel. My name is pathetic a letter, and I'm a professional illustrator. Before starting our drawings, I want to go over some places where you can go and get references to help draw. Remember that references are always important when you're learning to draw anything. Now in this video, I just want to talk a little bit about proportions and how you can play with them to create more interesting drawings of squirrels. When drawing something new, I like to break everything down into simpler shapes. This can work both if you're drunk something more cartoony or more realistically, breaking an object or subject into simple steps is always really helpful. Now in the next videos, we'll be drawing some swirls and play a bit with their proportions. And doing this will help a lot into creating more interesting animal characters. For example, let's look at the squirrel here. They already have quite some interesting shapes, but why not go a little bit further with them? Exaggerate depth, like here in this word in the Stone. I loved and still love the designs in the morphic. They're so good. And as you can see, the tail looks bigger than the body. It's usually not that big, but exaggerating it makes the character a bit more interesting. Peaking certain features from an animal and exaggerating them will give your drawing some more personality. Draw a Standing Squirrel - Side View: Hello and welcome. We're now going to start learning how to draw some rodents and small animals, and we're going to start with the squirrel. And as always, if you seen the other animal videos or any other animal courses that I have, we're going to start in the standing position. So first the side view, then the front, you and finally, a back view. So I have here my guidelines. I'm going to give this image to you so that you can use it for your exercises if you want.
