1. Welcome to the Class: When I started exploring art, I always knew that I love to explore different art
mediums and styles. Mixed media is an art
style in which we combine different art mediums to
form a beautiful artwork. It's not at all
difficult to produce an artwork using simple
techniques and methods. Heyy buddy, you're
most welcome to my new class myself for Patel, I'm a self taught
independent artist and an interior
designer by profession. In this class, we
are going to create a beautiful artwork which includes a little bit
of wash painting, some mixed media, and a
beautiful bottle art. As someone who's very much
passionate about teaching, my major focus is always
to create classes for beginners who are trying to develop their skills
on a regular basis. I personally love to explore different art mediums and not to stick to one
particular thing. If you join me, you'll find a variety of classes
that I create. We're going to start
by learning about the details of the class project that we're
going to create. You can easily replace
the coaster and change the guash painting
according to your mood. We're going to talk about all
the art supplies in detail. No need to worry at
all in case you're missing out on any
particular art supply. You'll find it very easily in
any nearby local arts too. We're going to talk about the color palette
that we're going to use is going to be a nice study about the object
that we are going to use. We're going to apply a
beautiful acrylic color to the entire bottle to create a beautiful base before starting with the
gouache painting. Before starting with
the gouache painting, we are going to have a
beautiful practice session. We are going to learn
about all the elements and how to paint them in detail. The practice sheet
will help you a lot to develop confidence
while painting, and the chances of making
mistakes will be ariess. The guash painting is going
to be minimal and elegant. We're going to start by applying a beautiful gradient effect using easy and
simple techniques. We are going to paint a
beautiful water body. There are going to be sellouts, which creates a
beautiful contrast with the background color allover. It's going to be a very
simple and easy technique of combining all the elements together to form a
beautiful scenery. The class is absolutely
suited for all level artists. It will definitely ignite it. Throughout the class,
you will learn how to combine
different art mediums together and turn
your simple bottle to an extraordinary artwork. I'm super excited to share this class with all of
you as it is going to be a combination of painting and
some beautiful craft work together without any delay. Grab your art supplies. Join me on this
creative journey. Let's get started
with the class.
2. Details About the Class Project: Hey buddy. Now let me give you all the details about the class project that
we're going to create. I have placed all
the elements of the class project on the desk. You can observe we have a
beautiful bottle and there is a simple guache coaster
placed just on the bottle. The coaster is
basically attached with the bottle by using
a simple magnet. If you can observe carefully, the coaster will be easily
detached from the bottle. I have placed one simple
magnet onto the bottle, and another piece
of the magnet is going to be on the back
side of the coaster. It's basically a very
simple and easy technique of applying this magnet
so that you can simply detach the coaster from
the bottle and you can change the wash painting according to your
mood and convenience. On the bottle, I have
applied a nice coat of acrylic paint and you can observe it's a beautiful
sap green color. Similarly, we're going
to apply the magnets on the back side of the two coasters that we're
going to paint. The reason behind applying an acrylic color to the bottle is because the
bottle is going to have a glass surface
and you do not want your color to leave
the bottle surface. That's why I have
used acrylic color onto the glass bottle. Now for the coasters,
we are going to use simple guash colors. With these beautiful,
vibrant color palette, you can observe how
beautifully I have just changed the
coaster on the bottle. Similarly, you can take the last one and you can
attach it with the bottle. The magnet basically helps
us to detach the coasters easily from the bottle and change it according
to our convenience. I have used a simple
watercolor paper to enhance the coaster, and I have just made a nice
cut using a pattern scissor. It basically creates
a nice zigzag effect on the circumference
of the entire coaster. This is our entire class
project that we are going to create. No need
to worry at all. We are just simply
going to combine these minimal elements
together and form these beautiful sceneries
onto the coasters all over. It's going to be a very
fun and creative session in which we are going to convert a simple bottle into a beautiful artwork
using mixed media. Now let us move
towards the next part.
3. Art Supplies: Hey buddy. Now let us talk about all the art supplies that you will need for the entire class. No need to worry at
all in case you're missing out on any
particular art supply. You will find it very easily in any nearby local
art store or you can go for any other good
alternative as well. The first art supply is a
simple cap of a spray bottle. It is basically
not an art supply, it's just for a support
that we're going to use. We're going to use
this particular cap to get certain height. While we are painting, I'll be just using a masking
tape and we are going to paste the coaster on the cap so that we can paint easily
in a comfortable manner. In case you do not have a cap, that is absolutely fine. You can place the coaster on
the desk surface as well. Now these are MDF coasters, which are basically medium
density fiberboard. The diameter of the
coaster is basically 4 ". For this particular artwork, you will need three coasters. Then the next art supply
is a simple masking tape. We are going to use this
particular masking tape to place the coaster onto
the cap so that we can paint in a nice,
comfortable manner. The next up I have a
simple acrylic color that we are going to use
to paint the bottle. The color that I'm
using is sap green. In case you want to go for any other good alternative
that is completely fine. You can definitely choose
another darker shade as well, since the bottle is going
to have a glass surface, that's why we're going
to use an acrylic color. It would be really durable and your color will not get off
the bottle surface easily. Then next up, I have
these little magnets. As you can observe, these
are circular magnets that you'll get very easily in any nearby local art store. We are going to place
these little magnets on the coaster and
the bottle as well, so that we can just
place them and detach them easily. All right. Then I have the next art
supply which is a Feb quick basically a quick
glue that you can find very easily in any
nearby local art store. It's a very quick drying glue. Then similarly we have a Fevicol that is also
a slow drying glue. You can use any of the two. Then next up, I
have a simple cup of water in which you
can observe there is some clear water which
we are going to use while we are painting
a guash painting. Basically, it will help us to
clean the brushes quickly. Then a simple pencil, wherever there is any
reference sketch required. Though there is
very less sketching required in this
particular class project. Now let us talk about the
most important art supply, which is the brushes that
we are going to use. The first one is a round
brush of size zero. Then the second one is a
round brush of size three. Then we are going to
use two flat brushes, one is of size seven, Then the last one
which is of size nine. These are all the
four brushes that you will need for the
entire class project. Then next up, I have a simple tissue paper
which we are going to use to dab the brushes to
remove axis amount of water. Now comes the main art supply, which is a simple glass bottle. You can observe the shape of this particular glass bottle. It's a very near
to an oval shape, but it is also having some nice flat surface
on the topmost area. You can observe this
is how you have to select a beautiful bottle. And it is absolutely fine. If you do not have
a same bottle, you can go for any
other good alternative. And this is how we are
going to place the coaster. You can find this type of glass bottle in any
nearby local store. You just have to make
sure that you have enough surface to place a
coaster on the topmost portion. Then next up, we
have two colors, which is basically
black and white. Neutral colors,
basically these are basically Gah colors that
we are going to use. I was basically missing out on G tubes for black and white, that's why I'm using Gh tubs. But you can definitely use
any good alternative as well. Now let me give you all the
details about the colors, which are basically gache colors that we are going to use. Don't worry about
the exact shade you can go for any other good
alternative as well. The first one is Vermilion. Then I have crimson move, cyline blue, violet, and rose. Now comes the next art supply, which is a simple
ceramic color palette. You can go for any other
good alternative as well. This is just a palette
which is having enough surface area to take
out multiple colors in it. So just make sure that you
use a good color palette, which is having enough area. Then I have another poster color which is basically olive green. We're going to use this
particular color to apply this nice texture in this black sill out to
create some grass effect. Now, this particular art supply is a very creative art supply. It's a pattern scissor, you can simply observe the
blades of the pattern scissor. This basically gives a
nice zigzag pattern to the paper that we
are going to apply on the back portion
of the coaster. No need to worry at all in case you're missing out on
a pattern scissor. You can definitely use a
simple plain scissor as well, or you can directly place your painted coaster
onto the bottle surface. So these are all the art
supplies that you will need. Now let us move
towards the next part.
4. Color Palette: Everybody. Now let us understand the color palette before starting with the
class projects, I'm basically going to use a simple six size
watercolor paper. I have simply labeled all the colors on the
watercolor paper. Now simply we're going
to just apply the color onto the watercolor paper
starting from Vermilion, This color is basically
very near to orange. You can definitely use that as a good alternative as well. Just simply make a good
composition of water and color together in
the color palette and apply a little patch. Now the second color is crimson. I was already having all the
colors in my color palette. I'm just loosening them
up using some water. So I just made a good
composition of water and color together and apply
these two patches. Now the reason behind doing this particular step
is so that you can get an exact idea of the application of the color
onto the watercolor paper. It is going to be similar
for the coasters as well. In case you're using a coaster
or a watercolor paper, it is absolutely fine. I have applied another
color which is move. This particular color
is very near to violet. You can go for any other
good alternative as well. Then I'll be just cleaning
my flat brush again and make a good composition
of ceruline blue. No need to hurry at all. Try to mix the color
well with water. Again, I'll be applying
these little two patches just above the labeling. Now we are left with two colors, which is violet and rose. I'll be just taking a
little bit of violet in the color palette because it is finished and some rose as well. You can simply clean
your flat brush and just take a little bit of water
to loosen the color up. And repeat the same process of applying these little two
patches so that you can get an exact idea of the color application onto
the watercolor paper. This particular step
helps us a lot to understand the colors
and you can definitely combine the colors according
to your convenience to create a beautiful
composition of a gradient background. Apart from the coasters that are placed on the
left hand side, it is not at all compulsory
to have the same composition. But you can relate it
with the color palette that I have created right now. Whenever we start any
particular class project, it is very important
for all of you to understand the color
palette initially. Now we have an additional color which is going to
be olive green. This is basically
a poster color. It is absolutely
fine. If you use a poster color or a guash color, this will definitely give
you a nice matt finish, very similar to gash color. So you can observe the application of
this particular color. We're going to create
some nice texture using this particular color. I hope that you got an exact
idea of the color palette. Now let us move
towards the next part.
5. Understanding the Object: Everybody. Now let us understand the object that we
are going to use. Definitely the object is
going to be a simple bottle. You can observe a very beautiful glass bottle
in front of you. The shape of the glass bottle is very near to an oval shape, but you can observe a beautiful flat surface on both the sides. Before you select the
object for painting, whatever it might be, a bottle or any object that you like, just try to make
sure that it has enough flat surface where you
can place your Ge painting, which is going to
be on the coaster. I'll just show you that as well. You just place your object
on the desk surface, which is basically
my glass bottle. We're going to apply this
beautiful acrylic color, which is going to be sap green on the entire surface
of the bottle. Now once we are done applying
the entire base color, we are going to use the
coaster on which we are going to paint some
beautiful gash sceneries. To apply the acrylic color, we are going to use our
flatbrush of size nine. Here is the circular
coaster of diameter 4 ". Now on the object you
can carefully observe, This is how we are going
to place the coaster. That's why you have to select a beautiful bottle
or the object having enough surface area in case you do not want
to paint a bottle. You can definitely go
for the coasters and take up that as a class
project, it is completely fine.
6. Painting the Bottle: Everybody, now let
us paint the bottle, which is going to
be the first step for starting the
entire class project. The color that we are
going to use is Sap green, which is basically
an acrylic color. Just simply place your bottle on the desk surface and make sure that you can paint in
a comfortable manner. I'll be using my flat
brush of size nine and I have taken some good
amount of sap green color. There is no
requirement of water, since we want to get a nice solid coat of
the entire color, this is going to be the first. Then we are also going to apply another coat on the
entire surface. You can simply observe the
movement of my flat brush. It's a simple vertical movement. Slowly, we are trying to
cover the entire surface. It's basically a very
satisfying part of applying this beautiful
color to the entire surface. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner in case you find that your
color is getting finished. From the brush,
you can definitely take some more
color in the brush. You can carefully
observe that we have almost covered the entire
area of the bottle. There is a little bit of space which is not having
that great opacity. Let the first coat of the
entire surface dry for a while, and then we are going to apply another coat on
the same surface. Also, make sure that
there is no space left on the entire
surface of the bottle. Definitely try to paint in
a slow and steady manner. Now, simply wait for a while
for the first coat to dry. Now once the entire
coat is completely dry, we're going to apply another
coat on the same surface. Take some good amount of save green color and we'll be using our same
brush of size nine, which is basically a flat brush. And we're going to
apply another coat on the entire bottle surface. The reason behind applying another on the same
surface is so that we can get a nice opacity
of a solid sap green color. Once the entire color is dried, you'll get a beautiful finish. We are almost done applying another coat of sap
green color as well. Now I will let it dry
for a while again. Now let the second coat
also dry for a while. Once the second coat dries, we're going to apply
the same color on the other side of
the bottle as well. You can observe the glass surface on the
other side as well. We are going to use the
same sap green color. And I'll be using my
flat brush of size nine. And we're going to
apply a nice coat of sap green on the other side
of the bottle as well. You can simply observe a beautiful vertical movement of my brush in the bottom part. You can just apply some
simple horizontal strokes, but it would be
really better if you apply the flat brush
in the same direction. It is basically a
vertical movement only. Similarly, we have applied one coat on the other
side of the bottle. We will let it dry for a while. Now once the first coat dyes, again we are going to
apply another coat. Now let me tell you one
thing that I have decided to take a safe green color on the entire surface
of the bottle. You can definitely select any other acrylic
color that you like. It is absolutely fine. It is not at all compulsory
to use the same color. Now, we will let the
second coat also dry, give some good
amount of time for the entire bottle to dry. And now you can observe that the entire surface is
looking beautiful. We have covered the
entire glass surface and it gives a nice sap,
green color finish. You can definitely show
your creativity by creating any other texture or selecting
any other color as well. This is how we are
going to place our beautiful gauche coaster. I'll just show you the position. As you can observe,
we are done applying a beautiful coat of acrylic color on the
entire glass bottle. I hope that you got an exact
idea of painting the bottle. Now let us move
towards the next part.
7. Lets Practice the Elements: Hey buddy. Before we start
painting the coasters, let us learn about all the elements and how
to paint them in detail. I'm basically going to use a simple watercolor paper
of size six and it is basically 300 GSM in case you want to go for any
other good alternative, like an art journal in which you practice on a regular basis, or even a rough scrap of paper. That is absolutely fine. We're going to start
by learning how to paint a beautiful
gradient effect. Now I'll be using my masking
tape and we're going to apply it on the borders
of the watercolor paper. We're only going to apply it on the half portion of the
entire watercolor paper. You can observe, I have applied it on the borders and I'll be just applying the
last masking tape. I'm just covering half portion of the entire watercolor paper. Try to dab your finger
onto the masking tape so that it gets completely stuck with the watercolor paper. Use a simple pencil to
draw a horizon line which suppreds the water
body and the sky area. Now in the color palette, I have taken some vermilion. And the second color is
going to be crimson red. Since we are going to paint
a very small portion, always try to save
your resources and take colors in a
required amount only. We're going to start by
painting the Vermilion. I'm taking my flat
brush of size seven. Add a little bit of water into the color palette and try
to loosen the color up. Make a good consistency of
water and color together. Now we are going to start by applying this
horizontal strokes, just above the horizon line. You can observe it's a
simple horizontal movement and I'm slowly covering
the entire area. We are leaving some
white portion on the topmost area
because we are going to create a gradient effect now. Similarly, just make
a good consistency of water and color together
of crimson red. So you can observe in
the color palette, I'm mixing the colors well, now start applying it
from the topmost portion. Right now, you
might be observing a small line of suppression
between both the colors. It's a very simple and easy
technique to blend them. Just simply take
your flat brush, make it completely
clean in water. Make it a little bit dry by dabbing it onto
the tissue paper. And just apply these
horizontal strokes in between both the colors. Now you will observe
a beautiful blend of both the colors together and it creates a nice
gradient effect. I'll be taking some move color in the color palette which
is very near to boil it. You can use that as well. Now just simply take your
flatbrush of size seven again and just make
a good composition of water and color together. Make sure that you
have less amount of water and more color. Now, just below
the horizon line, use the tip of your
flatbrush to paint this color. No need
to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. You can observe the simple horizontal movement
of my flatbrush. Now, in order to create
a nice gradient effect in the water body as well, just take some solid white color by cleaning your
flat brush again. And just apply it
below the mauve color. And you will observe
a nice blend of both the colors together. The more horizontal
strokes you apply, the better blend you'll get. Also, make sure that
there is no space left between the masking tape
and the watercolor paper. We are done applying
the base color, which basically creates a nice sky area and the water body. I'll be using my round brush of size zero and I have taken some solid white color in it using some solid white color. You just have to apply
these horizontal strokes in the water body area. This basically creates some
nice depth and details. These horizontal strokes
basically creates a nice wave form in
the entire water body. And it makes it look a little bit more
aesthetic and elegant. No need to hurry at all, Just try to combine these
little horizontal strokes together to make a
nice wave effect. Now, once we are done applying
the horizontal strokes, we are going to
paint some beautiful clouds in the sky area. I'll be using my same
round brush of size zero. Take some good amount
of solid white color in it and just apply these little horizontal
strokes combining together as clouds generally have a very natural
and organic shape. There isn't any specific
way of painting them. You can just apply the
horizontal strokes in a very random
and natural way. Right now, you might be seeing that the solid white
strokes are very sharp. To make it a little bit
more lighter and rough, what you can do is you can just simply clean your
round brush and water, add a little bit of water in it, and just reapply it. On the solid white strokes, you will observe that the edges of the entire clouds will get a little bit blur and it will become a
little bit smoother. It's a very simple
and easy technique. You just have to paint it in a very slow and steady manner. Now we are going to
paint a beautiful sun, or you can also
consider it as a moon. You just have to paint a
circular shape in the sky area. You can decide the position according to your convenience. It is absolutely fine. Now let us paint some
beautiful landscape area. So I'm going to use my
round brush of size zero. Take some solid black color
from the color palette, try to make a good composition of color and water together. Make sure that you
have less amount of water and more color. That will definitely give you a nice saturation of
solid black color. To paint some nice plants
in the bottom portion, which is a part of a
beautiful landscape, you just have to create
these little strokes in a very random and natural way to create a nice outline
for the plants. Once you're done creating this beautiful outline for the plants in the
bottom portion, we're going to fill in
solid black color in the bottom portion to cover the area in a
very quick manner. I'll be just shifting from a size zero brush to a
size three round brush. Take some good amount
of solid black color in it and just make a good composition
of color and water together in case you find that your color
is getting finished. From the brush, you can take some more color from
the color palette. You can observe the way
I'm moving my brush. It's a simple vertical movement. Make sure that there
is no space left between the masking tape
and the watercolor paper. Once we are done painting all the plants in
the bottom portion, which is a part of a
beautiful landscape, what we can do is we can
paint a beautiful tree. So it's a sellout of a tree as you can observe
in the coaster. Placed in the left hand portion, I'll be creating the
outline of the tree. First, I'll be using my
round brush of size zero, make a nice organic outline, combining these little
strokes together. Once we are done creating
the entire outline, you just have to fill in solid black color in the
inner portion. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. You can definitely
explore creating a beautiful shape
of the entire tree. Now, similarly, I'll be creating a little bush on the left
hand portion as well. We have painted the entire
foliage of the tree. Now we are going
to connect it with the landscape area in
the bottom portion. While doing this
particular step, you have to keep a lot
of patience and try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. Just use the tip of
your round brush and connect these little
strokes combining together, which basically
replicates the roots. I can also call
it as tree trunk. You can observe how beautiful
the entire sellout looks, and it's a combination of
all the elements together. The vibrant colors
in the background, the water body, the sellout that we have painted,
and the sun. Now, to enhance the
entire scenery, I'm just adding a little bit of landscape area on
the horizon line. It's a very simple
and easy technique. Simply use your round
brush of size zero and just create the outline first
of a small landscape area. You can combine or you can make a cluster of two to three
landscape areas together. You can also create its
reflection effect by adding these little horizontal
strokes just below that. This is how we are
going to create a beautiful scenery using
minimal elements together, you can enhance
the sun by adding some more solid
white color so that it creates a nice contrast
with the background. Now just simply remove
the masking tape and you can see how beautiful
the white edge looks. I hope that you got
an exact idea of how we are going to create
a beautiful scenery. Now let us practice
few sell outs, which is a part of
all the coasters. If you observe the coaster
right in front of you, there is a nice small house
and a beautiful bridge, which is having some
nice details in it. No need to worry at all. It's a very simple
and easy technique. You will just need some patience and a good control on your hand. I'll be using my round
brush of size zero. Take some good amount
of solid black color. Start by creating a beautiful
fill out of the house. You can observe that I have started it from the
topmost portion, creating a nice tower. On the topmost portion, you can create a
triangular roof. And then you can fill
in this square shape just on the bottom portion. It basically replicates the
walls of the entire house. Now to connect the house
with some beautiful plants, you can just apply
these random strokes, which are basically tiny
strokes combining together, forming a beautiful
landscape area. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. Also, no need to worry
about painting it in the exact same way I'm
painting right now. You can create your own composition of the
plants as well. You can create your
own natural outline. You can simply observe the
movement of my round brush. I'm just trying to combine
these little strokes together, forming a beautiful
natural outline. Also, as you all know
that plants generally have a very natural
and organic shape, there is no specific
way of painting them. Now I'll be just making
a outline so that we can get a nice reference for
the entire landscape area. Once you're done
with the outline, you can fill in
solid black color in the inner portion to get a nice coverage
for the entire area. I'll be using my
round brush of size three and take some good amount of solid black color in it, make a good composition of
water and color together, and just fill in solid black
color in the entire portion. Whenever you're
painting a sill out, which is basically in
a solid black color, just make sure that there is
no space left in between. It will not look nice when
the entire color dries up. Now similarly, let us
practice one more sellout, which is creating a natural landscape in the bottom portion. You can start by creating
a natural outline first and then fill in solid black color in
the inner portion. Now if you observe carefully, we have a beautiful
detailed bridge in the coaster that is placed
on the left hand portion. It's a sellout of a bridge which is very easy and
simple to paint. Just paint a horizontal line connecting between the
plants in either sides. Then just make a semicircular shape on
the bottom portion. Now we are going to paint these vertical lines
in the entire bridge, which creates a nice detail
to the entire sellout. While painting in
a smaller portion, always make sure that your hand is very much loose and free. No need to make it very
stiff. Now let us practice. Few pine trees as well. So it's a very simple
and easy technique and one of the most
favorite part of mine. You just have to create
these vertical lines, which basically decides the
position of the pine tree. Once you have painted
the vertical lines, just start applying these
little strokes from the topmost portion and slowly move towards
the bottom area. While you're moving
towards the bottom area, just simply increase the size of the strokes that
you're making. This is basically a
very interesting step and you'll definitely
enjoy this step as well. I hope that you've got
an exact idea that the vertical lines are basically telling us the exact position of the pine trees where
you have to paint them while we are going to paint the pine
trees onto the coaster. I would like to tell you
that no need to worry about painting it in the exact same
way I'm painting right now. You can definitely
explore and you can create your own composition
of the pine trees as well. We are done with the bottom
landscape area as well. Now let us add a little bit
of contrast in the house. By painting these
little windows, You just have to take
some solid white color in your round brush and just
apply these four dots. You can observe the
practice sheet carefully. I have added some
labelings so that you can get an exact idea of
what we have painted. The practice sheet will
be very helpful for you to develop confidence
while painting, and the chances of making
mistakes will be very less. I hope that you enjoyed the practice session now let us move towards the next part.
8. Placing the Coaster: Everybody, before we start
painting the coasters, let me give you a basic idea of how you can place
your coaster having some support at the bottom side so that you can paint in
a comfortable manner. Here I have a simple
cap of a spray bottle. You can use any other
support material also, it should just have a little bit of height from the desk surface. Now we're going to
place the coaster on the topmost portion so that
you can move it easily and paint it in a
comfortable manner case you want to place your coaster directly to the desk surface. That is also completely fine. If you do this particular thing, that is also absolutely okay. I'll be using a
simple masking tape. Take a little piece of the
masking tape and just fold it. You can make it a
double sided tape. As you can observe, I have the sticky part on
both sides now. Simply place it on
the back portion of the entire coaster. No need to hurry at all. Now we have some sticky portion
on the back side as well. Now simply place
it onto the cap. Apply a little bit of pressure using your
thumbs or fingers. Now you can observe that we have a little bit of height from the desk surface and you can easily move it according
to your convenience. You can simply use
your hands to grab the cap on the
bottom portion and move the coaster according
to your convenience. This will definitely help you a lot to paint in a
comfortable manner, you can observe carefully. It is absolutely okay
if you want to place your coaster directly
to your desk surface. Now let us move
towards the next part.
9. Coaster 1 - Dense Landscape: Hey everybody. You're
most welcome to the first coaster which
is a dense landscape. As you can observe, I'm
ready with my coaster. I'll be starting
with the first step, which is using a simple flat
brush of size seven and apply a thin coat of water on the entire surface
of the coaster. This is basically known
as a simple wet on wet technique in which we apply a thin coat of water initially. And then the color so that when we paint
the background color, it blends in a very nice way. No need to hurry at all. Make sure that you cover the
entire surface carefully. Now let us take the first color, which is going to be Vermilion. Take a little bit of color
in the color palette, add a little bit
of water to make a good composition of
water and color together. Now start applying the color
from the bottom portion. No need to hurry
at all and observe the simple horizontal
movement that I'm having. Slowly move towards
the above area, applying a good amount of
color on the entire surface. In case you find that your brush is having axis amount
of water in it, just simply dab your brush onto the tissue paper so that axis amount of water
will be removed. Now let us take
the second color, which is going to be crimson. Take a little bit of color into the color palette and we're
going to use the same brush. This shade is a
little bit darker. It is absolutely fine if your brush is not
that much clean, but simply clean it in water, dab it onto the tissue paper, and take the second color. Start applying it from the topmost portion and slowly move towards
the bottom area. There is a little
bit of difference between both the colors. No need to hurry at all. And just simply clean
your flat brush. Make it completely dry by dabbing it onto
the tissue paper. Now we are going to blend
both the colors together. Applying a dry brush will
help you a lot to get a nice, clean blend between
both the colors. The more horizontal
strokes you'll apply, the better blend you'll get. Once you're satisfied
with the blend, just let the background
dry for a while. Once the background is dry, you're going to
paint some beautiful clouds in the sky area. I'll be taking some
solid white color and I'll be adding a
little bit of vermilion in it to get a nice light shade of vermilion. No need
to hurry at all. We are going to
have more amount of solid white color to get a beautiful contrast
with the background. I'll be using my
roundbrush of size three. It's a very simple
and easy technique of painting the clouds
in the sky area. You can observe the
movement of my round brush. I'm using the tip of my
round brush to create these little horizontal
strokes in a very random way. You just have to combine these little strokes
together to get a very nice, beautiful cloud effect
in the sky area. As you all know that
clouds generally have a very natural and
organic shape in the sky, there is no specific
way of painting them. You can create your own
composition as well. Also, no need to worry
about painting it in the exact same way I'm
painting right now. You can create your
own composition. You can create a cluster of two to three clouds together
in the sky area as well. I've created a
cluster of cloud in the left hand portion
because we are going to have a beautiful tree on
the right hand side. Right now, you
might observe that the solid white
color is very sharp. To make the edges a little bit rough and have a nice
blend with the background, you can use your
same round brush. Take a little bit of
water in it and just smooth the edges by
applying it on the outline. Slowly, you'll observe that the clouds get a nice blend
with the background color. Do this step with
a lot of patience. Now let us paint the
beautiful landscape area that we have on the
bottom portion. It's a very simple
and easy technique. You are definitely going to
enjoy this particular step. What we are going to do is
that we're going to create a nice organic outline First, using the tip of the round
brush of size three, you can observe that it creates a nice grass texture
on the outline. We have to fill in solid black color in the inner portion. Try to make a good
composition of water and solid black color
in the color palette. Make sure that you have
less amount of water and more color so
that you get a nice, saturated, solid black color. You can observe carefully that I started from the left
hand portion slowly, I moved towards the
right hand side area, making the landscape
a little bit bigger, having some more plantations. Slowly, I'll be filling in solid black color in
the entire portion. You can observe the movement
of my round brush as well. It's a simple vertical movement. Always try to move your
brush in the same direction. Whenever you're
applying a same color in a bigger surface area, you can observe that we
have somehow created a nice base for the
entire landscape area. In the bottom portion,
this is basically replicating some beautiful
plants in the bottom area. It is basically a sell out. A sell out is generally in
a very solid black color. Right now, we do not have a well defined outline for
the plantations. What I'm going to
do is I'm going to use my round brush of size zero, which is a little
bit smaller than the first round
brush of size three. And we are going to
use its tip to create a beautiful defined outline for the plantations
in the bottom area. It's a very simple
and easy technique. You just have to create
these little strokes so that you get a
well defined outline. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. For doing this particular step, always try to keep your hand
very much loose and free. No need to make it very stiff. Also, one more thing
I would like to tell you is that
no need to worry about painting it in the exact same way I'm
painting right now. You can create your
own composition of the landscape area in the
bottom portion as well, since we are going
to have a beautiful bridge sellout in between. That's why I have created
a nice variation which is having a little bit of depth
on the left hand portion. You can observe carefully
that we have created a nice variation using the
round brush of size zero. Now, once we are done painting the landscape area in
the bottom portion, let us paint a beautiful tree, which is also in
a sellout format. Again, this is going to be
a very interesting step. You just have to
create the outline first by using your round
brush of size three. Just make a very random and
rough organic outline first. And then you have to fill
in solid black color in the inner portion in case you find that your color is getting
finished From the brush, you can take some more color
from the color palette. We have created the entire bush, which is basically the
foliage of the entirety. We have painted the base. Similarly, we are going to add one more bush on the
right hand side, which is going to be
a little bit smaller. You can use your same brush and create a nice rough black patch. Now again, to define the entirety a little
bit more in detail, I'll be using my round
brush of size zero. Use the tip of your
round brush carefully. Try to keep your hand
very much loose and free and create a
beautiful organic outline. As you all know that
trees generally have a very natural and
organic shape. There is no specific
way of painting them. You can create your
own composition of the entire tree as well. You can play with the
shape and sizes also in case you want to
practice the tree initially on a rough
scrape of paper first. And then you want
to come towards your final coaster that
is also completely fine. This will help you a lot to develop confidence
while painting, and the chances of making
mistakes will be very less. Similarly, I'll be defining
the smaller bush as well by adding these little
strokes on the outline. Now simply, we are
going to connect the entire bush with
the landscape area. In the bottom portion, I'll be using my roundbrush
of size zero. You have to simply connect these little strokes
with the landscape area. Try to paint it with
a lot of patience. And just use the tip
of your round brush. Apply very less pressure on it. This basically acts as the
entire trunk of the tree. I'll be using my
same roundbrush of size zero and we're going to
paint a beautiful bridge. You just have to create
this horizontal line connecting with the
landscape area. And you have to draw a
semicircular shape in the bottom portion connecting
with the horizontal line. Now to add some nice details
in the entire bridge, you just have to add these
vertical strokes in between. It is a very simple
and easy step. You just have to use your
round brush and just apply very less pressure
on your hand and just simply paint these
vertical lines in between. Similarly, we are going to do this on the other side as well. Now you can observe how
beautiful the entire sell out of the bridge looks. We are almost done painting
the entire bridge. Let us add some more
details by adding a simple horizontal line just above the first horizontal
line that we painted. Again, you have to paint it in a very slow and steady manner. Try to leave a little
bit of space in between. You can make the
entire horizontal line a little bit thicker by adding a few more horizontal strokes in case you find that your
color is getting finished. From the brush, you can take some more color from
the color palette. Now let us add a beautiful moon, or you can also consider it
as a sun in the sky area. Take your round
brush of size zero. Take some good amount of
solid white color in it, and you just have to paint a circular shape
in the sky area. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. Try to get a nice,
perfect circular shape, and we are done with
the entire coaster. Now let me take you
a little bit closer by detaching it
with the cap below. You can observe all the details carefully how beautifully we have combined all the elements together to form a
beautiful scenery. I hope that you enjoyed the entire process of creating
this particular coaster. Now let us move
towards the next part.
10. Coaster 2 - Pine Trees: Hey buddy, You're
most welcome to the second coaster
which is pine trees. As you can observe,
I'm ready with my coaster and we're going to
start with the first step, which is going to be
applying a thin coat of water on the entire
surface of the coaster. I'll be using my flat
brush of size seven, and we're going to
apply a nice coat of water on the entire coaster. No need to hurry at all. Just take your time. Try to apply the water on the entire surface of
the coaster carefully, make sure that there is
no space left in between. This is basically known as
a wet on wet technique, in which we apply a thin
coat of water initially, so that we can blend the
colors in a nice way. I'll be using a simple pencil to supread the sky area
and the water body. You just have to
draw a horizon line, which is a simple
horizontal line. Now take some little bit of cerreline blue in
the color palette. Make a good composition of
color and water together. Now we are going to apply the color just above
the horizon line. It's going to be a very
simple and easy step. You can observe the
movement of my flat brush. It's a simple
horizontal movement. No need to hurry at all. Try to apply some good amount of color on the entire coaster. You can observe carefully that
I'm slowly moving towards the above area in case you find that your color
is getting finished. From the brush, you can take
some more amount of color. Now you can observe, I have
covered the entire area. Now we're going to create a
beautiful gradient effect. That's why we're going to apply some solid white color
on the topmost portion, you can simply dab your
brush onto the tissue paper. Take some good amount
of solid white color. No need to worry at all. You can blend it
together by applying a lot of horizontal
strokes in between them. In case you find that your brush is having a lot of water in it, you can definitely
dab your brush onto the tissue paper to remove
some axis amount of water. Whenever you want to create
a beautiful gradient effect, always make sure that the more horizontal strokes you'll apply, the better blend you'll get
between both the colors. Now let the sky area dry for a while and let's
paint the water body. I'll be taking some violet color in the color palette
as you can observe. And I'll be adding
a little bit of water to make a
good composition of water and color
together so that we can move our brush in
a very smooth manner. Now just below the horizon line, I'll be using the tip
of my flat brush. No need to hurry while applying the color just below
the horizon line. Slowly apply the color
in the bottom portion. You can observe, again, it's a very simple
horizontal movement. In case you find that your color is getting finished
from the brush, you can definitely
take some more color from the color palette. Now I have left some
portion in the bottom area. Because we want to create a
beautiful gradient effect, use your round brush
of size three. Apply a little bit of solid white color in the
bottom portion. Now simply clean your flat
brush of size seven and just apply these
horizontal strokes between both the colors. Slowly, you'll
observe a nice blend between solid white color
and the ilet color. I'm personally loving this
beautiful gradient effect. The more horizontal
strokes you'll apply, the better blend you'll get
between both the colors. We have applied the
base right now. Now we are going to create
some beautiful depth and details to the water body. I'll be using my round
brush of size zero and we are going to
take some darker tone of violet color. Now simply you have to apply these little horizontal lines. There is no specific way of applying the
horizontal lines. You can just randomly apply
these horizontal lines. And you will observe it gets a nice blend with the gradient
effect in the background. You can definitely create a cluster of two to
three strokes together. And as you all know,
that water body is also a very natural and organic
element in the nature. There is no specific
way of painting them. You can create your
own composition of these beautiful
horizontal strokes together. The more horizontal
strokes you'll apply, the better depth and detail you'll get in the
entire water body. In case you find that your color is getting finished
from the brush, you can take some
more color from the color palettes in case you're not that much
confident enough to paint the water body directly
towards your final coaster. What you can do is you
can practice it on a rough scrape of
paper initially, and then you can come
towards your final painting. This will help you a lot to develop confidence
while painting, and the chances of making
mistakes will be very less. Now you can observe
that I'm also creating some darker tone of
solid violet color. This is how you can create a beautiful variation to
create a beautiful water body. Now to just decrease the
sharpness of the strokes, you can just take
your flat brush, which is completely dry, and just apply these horizontal strokes on the entire surface. This will help you
a lot to balance the entire horizontal strokes
with the background color. Now I'll be using my round
brush of size three and we are going to paint some beautiful abstract clouds in the sky area. As you all know that
clouds generally have a very natural and
organic shape, there is no specific
way of painting them. You just have to take
some solid white color. Apply these little
horizontal strokes in a very natural
and organic manner. No need to worry
about painting it in the exact same way I'm
painting right now. You can definitely create your own composition
of the clouds. You can decide the position. You can create a cluster of
two to three clouds as well. Right now, you can observe
the white strokes are very much sharp and in a very good contrast
with the background. To make the edges a
little bit smoother, you can just take your
round brush of size three, make it completely
clean in water. Take a little bit
of water in it and just reapply on the strokes
that you have painted. You will observe
that the color will get a little bit less saturated, the solid white color basically. And it will get a nice blend with the background
color as well. It basically makes
the entire cloud look a little bit smoother. No need to hurry at all. Just try to paint the clouds in a very slow and steady manner. Now let us start painting
the landscape area. I'll be again using my
round brush of size three. Take some good amount of solid black color in
the color palette, make a good composition of
color and water together. You can observe
that I have created a beautiful landscape area by creating a nice black patch
just above the horizon line. Now similarly, we
are going to create a beautiful landscape area in the left hand
portion as well. While applying a
solid black color, always make sure that there
is no space left in between to create its beautiful
reflection effect onto the water body. You can simply add these
horizontal strokes just below the horizon line. This is basically acting as the reflection of the
landscape onto the water body. As you move towards
the bottom area, You can simply
decrease the size of the horizontal strokes
that you're making now. Similarly, we are going to add a beautiful landscape area in the left hand
portion as well. You can start by creating
the outline first and then fill in solid black
color in the inner portion. That is also absolutely fine. I have created a
small landscape area in the left hand side. Slowly, I'll be adding a landscape area
onto the water body. It is again a very simple
and easy technique. You just have to apply
the outline first, then you can fill in
solid black color in the inner portion in case you find that your color is getting
finished from the brush, you can definitely take
some more color now to create the reflection of
this particular landscape. Also, you can just add
few horizontal strokes. No need to hurry at all. Try to keep your hand
very much loose and free so that you can get a nice
rough horizontal stroke. As you move towards
the bottom area, you can simply decrease the size of the strokes
that you're making. As you can observe,
we have added a beautiful landscape
in the water body area. Now similarly, we
are going to add few more landscape in
the water body area, which basically
acts as an island. There can be variation in size and shape
of the landscape. No need to worry
about painting it in the exact same way I'm
painting right now. You can create your beautiful composition of the landscape as well in case you are not that much confident
enough to paint the solid black landscape
area directly towards your water body and you
do not want to spoil your beautiful coaster and
its gradient background. What you can do is you
can practice it on a rough scrape of
paper initially, and then you can come
towards your final painting. This will help you a lot to develop confidence
while painting, and the chances of making
mistakes will be very less. Also, in case you find that your solid black
color is getting finished from your
detailing brush, what you can do is you can add a little bit of water and make a good composition of water and color together in
the color palette. And take some more
color so that you can get a nice saturated,
solid black color. Now we are going to paint
some beautiful pine trees on the island that
we have painted. Just start with a
simple vertical line. This basically tells us about the position
of the pine tree. Now it's a very simple
and satisfying step to paint a beautiful pine tree. You just have to start applying these little strokes starting
from the topmost portion. You just have to
apply these strokes in a very random
and natural manner. As you move towards
the bottom area, you just have to increase the size of the strokes
that you're making. It basically creates
a beautiful shape for the entire pine tree. No need to hurry at all. You have to paint the
pine tree with a lot of patience and try to create
some nice beautiful strokes. You can simply observe the movement of my round
brush and the way I'm using the tip of
the round brush to create this beautiful
organic outline. Now slowly, we are
going to connect the beautiful foliage of the entire tree with
the landscape area. In the bottom portion,
you can observe that I have increased the size of
the strokes that I've made. Now similarly, we
are going to add few more pine trees having
variation in these sizes. You can definitely add and create your own composition
of the pine trees. You can decide the position, you can play with the
shape and size as well. I have added two vertical
lines having different height. The step is absolutely same. You just have to create these little strokes starting
from the topmost portion. As you move towards
the bottom area, you can simply increase the size of the strokes
that you're making. I'll add one more pine tree in the small landscape
area that we have. In the right inside, the steps are absolutely same. You just have to create a
beautiful vertical line. This time it is going to
be a little bit smaller than all the three that we
have painted initially. Now just add these
little strokes around the vertical line, connect it with the landscape
area in the bottom portion. Now if you observe,
all the elements that we have painted
as a fill out are solid black and it creates a beautiful contrast with
the background colors. I'll be using my olive
green poster color, which is a very good
alternative to guash colors in case you have a guache color that is also absolutely fine. And we're going to create
some nice grassy texture to the landscape area
that we have painted. Take some good amount of solid olive green color
in the color palette. And we're going to use our
round brush of size zero. It's a very simple
and easy technique. You just have to create
these little dots. You just have to tab your brush to the entire
solid black color. We are basically applying the grassy texture on
the topmost portion, only We are not going to cover the entire solid black color. This basically
creates a nice depth and detail to the
entire landscape area. Also, this helps us to separate the pine trees and
the landscape area. Similarly, you can add this beautiful texture to the smaller landscape
areas that we have painted while
applying the texture using this solid,
olive green color. Just make sure that you have
no water in your brush. Just directly take
the color as it is having a good
consistency already. Similarly, I'll be
adding some texture onto the landscape area
that we have painted, just above the horizon line. You can definitely create a nice variation by adding
this beautiful texture. Also, in case you're not that
much confident enough to apply the texture directly
towards your final coaster, what you can do is
you can practice it on a rough scrape
of paper initially, and then you can come
towards your final painting. I'll be using my round brush of size zero and just take
some solid white color in it and we're going to
paint a beautiful sun in the sky area using
this solid white color. It's a very simple
and easy technique. Just try to paint
a circular shape. No need to hurry at all. Try to keep your
hand very much loose and free while doing
this particular step. We can also create a
beautiful reflection effect of the entire sun
onto the water body. It's a very simple
and easy technique. You just have to take
some solid white color, add a little bit of
blue if you want to just make these little
horizontal strokes, as you move towards
the bottom area, you can decrease the size of the strokes that
you're making, and we are done with
the entire coaster. Let me take you a little
bit closer so that you can observe all the
details carefully. I hope that you enjoyed creating
this particular coaster. You can observe how
beautifully we have combined all the elements together to
form a beautiful scenery. Now let us move towards
the next coaster.
11. Coaster 3 - House by the Bridge: Everybody, you're most
welcome to the third coaster, which is housed by the bridge. And this is the last coaster
that we are going to paint. As you can observe,
I'm ready with my coaster and we're going to
start with the first step, which is simply applying
a thin coat of water. I'll be using my flat
brush of size seven, and I have applied
a thin coat of water on the entire
surface of the coaster. Make sure that there is no space left on the entire surface. This is basically known as
a wet on wet technique, in which we apply a thin
coat of water initially, so that we can blend both the
colors in a very nice way. Now I'll be taking
the first color, which is rose very
near to a pink shade. So you can go for any other
good alternative as well. And we are going
to start applying the color, but before that, make sure that you create
a nice composition of water and color together, mix it well in the
color palette. No need to have axis
amount of water. Now I'm going to apply the
color to the entire coaster. No need to hurry at all. You can observe it's a
simple horizontal movement. Try to apply a good amount of color on the entire surface. Also, in case you
find that there is axis amount of water
in your brush, just simply dab it onto the tissue paper and you can reapply the horizontal strokes, that axis amount of
water will be removed. Now you can observe
that we have applied a nice coat of rose on
the entire surface. Now I'm going to take
the second color, which is going to be oilet. Simply start applying it
from the topmost portion, slowly moving towards
the bottom area. Now to blend both the colors
together in a nice way, what we're going to do
is we're going to apply maximum horizontal
strokes in between them. You will observe that
you'll get a nice blend. The more horizontal
strokes you'll apply, the better blend you'll get. You can clean your flat
brush completely in water. Make it completely dry
by dabbing it onto the tissue paper and you can reapply the horizontal strokes. You will slowly observe
that you'll get a nice blend between
both the colors. Once you're done painting
the entire background with this beautiful
gradient effect, you can let it dry for a while, give some good amount of time
for the background to dry, and let us move
towards the next step. Now once the entire
background is dry, we are going to
paint some beautiful clouds in the sky area. I'll be taking some solid white color in the
color palette. Add a little bit of water
to loose in the color up, and we're going to
create some beautiful abstract clouds in the sky area. You just have to start applying
these horizontal strokes. As you all know that
clouds generally have a very natural and
organic shape. There is no specific
way of painting them. You can create your own composition of the
clouds as well. You can create a cluster of
two to three clouds together. You can decide the position. You can play with the shape and size of the clouds as well. You can observe
carefully the way I'm using the tip of my
round brush and I'm just creating these
little white patches in case you want to use your
round brush of size zero. That is also absolutely fine. If you are completely
okay with size three, that is also absolutely okay. You can observe I have created some natural abstract
shapes of the clouds, forming these horizontal
strokes together. Right now, you can observe
that the clouds are very sharp and in contrast with
the background color. To make the edges look a
little bit more smoother, what you can do is you can just simply clean your
round brush and water, have a little bit
of water in it, and simply reapply the brush near the edges of
the entire cloud. You will slowly observe
that the clouds will completely look a
little bit more smoother. You just have to do
this particular step in a very slow and
steady manner. Take a little bit
of water and simply reapply it on the
entire cloud surface. You can basically apply it on the outline so that you
get a beautiful blend with the background color in
case you are not that much confident enough to paint the clouds directly towards
your final coaster. You do not want to spoil your beautiful
gradient background. What you can do is you
can practice it on a rough scrape of
paper initially, and then you can come
towards your final painting. This will help you a lot to develop confidence
while painting, and the chances of making
mistakes will be very less. We had un painting the clouds. Now let us start with the landscape area in
the bottom portion, which is a very satisfying part. I'll be using my round
brush of size three. Take some good amount of solid black color in the
color palette. We want some more amount
of solid black color because this allot is going
to be a little bit bigger. Take some good amount
of solid black color, make a good composition of
color and water together. And we're going to use our
round brush of size zero. Starting from the house
that we are going to have. On the left hand portion, you just have to draw a
simple vertical line. Place the coaster in a comfortable manner so that you can paint in a very nice way. And we're going to paint a
beautiful triangular roof. You just have to use the tip of your round brush to
create the outline. First, I have created a
beautiful triangular roof. Once we are done
painting the roof, we're also going to
create the walls as well. You can simply create two
vertical lines on either sides. And then you have to fill
in solid black color in the inner portion in case you find that your
color is getting finished. From the brush, you can take some more color from
the color palette. Also make sure that you have less amount of water
and more color. Because if you have
more amount of water, it will decrease the saturation
of the solid black color. Now we are going to
connect the entire house with this beautiful
landscape area, which is going to
have a lot of grass, which is basically a
part of the plantation. You just have to use the tip of your round brush to create these little strokes
combining together, forming a beautiful
organic outline. No need to hurry at all. Try to do this
particular step in a very slow and steady
manner while you're creating these little
strokes combining together, always try to keep your hand
very much loose and free. You can observe that we started from the left hand
portion slowly. I'm moving towards the
right hand side Now, in order to create some
little pine trees, or you can consider it as
some beautiful plants, we have created two
vertical lines. And just add these
little strokes around, so it creates a
beautiful variation in the entire outline. Now similarly, we'll just repeat the same steps by adding these
little strokes together, completing the entire
landscape area. In the remaining portion, as you can observe, we are done creating a beautiful
organic outline. Now we are going to fill in solid black color in
the remaining portion. Now in order to paint the entire surface a
little bit quicker, what you can do is you can take your round brush of size three, take some good amount
of solid black color, and just apply it in
the entire portion. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner and make sure that there is
no space left in between. You can simply observe the
movement of my round brush. It's a simple vertical movement. Whenever you're trying to cover a larger area using
a same color, make sure that you do not change the direction of your brush. As you can observe, we
have completely covered the entire area using
solid black color. Now let the color dry for a while and let's add
a few more details. I'll be using my round
brush of size zero. Take some good amount of
solid black color in it, and simply add a horizontal line connecting with both
the landscapes, presenting the right hand
side and the left hand side. This is basically a
sell out of a bridge. Now we are going to create a
beautiful semicircular line, which is going to connect
with the horizontal line that we have painted on
the topmost portion. No need to hurry at
all. Try to paint this particular thing in a
very slow and steady manner, since it's a very thin line to try to apply very less
pressure on your brush. Now in order to add
few more details, we're going to use the
same brush of size zero. Take some good amount of
solid black color in it, and we're going to add
vertical lines in between. I'm starting from the
left hand portion slowly. I'll move towards
the right hand side. You can keep a little bit of distance between all
the vertical lines. You can observe how beautiful the entire details looks when we complete
the entire bridge. Now, similarly, I'll be adding the vertical lines on the
right hand side as well. The steps are absolutely same. Try to keep your hand
very much loose and free. No need to make it
very much stiff in case you're not that
much confident enough to paint the bridge directly
towards your final coaster. What you can do is you
can practice it on a rough scrape of
paper initially, and then you can come
towards your final painting. This will help you a lot to develop confidence
while painting, and the chances of making
mistakes will be very less. I'll be using my same
brush of size zero. You can give some nice
finishing and details to the entire bridge by just
adding one more line. We're done with all
the sellout elements. Now let us add some nice details in the plantation as well. You can use your round brush of size zero and you can define the plants a little bit more by adding these little
strokes on the outline. No need to hurry at all. You can take your time also. No need to worry
about painting it in the exact same way I'm
painting right now. You can definitely create your own composition of the
entire scenery as well. Now let us add few more details by using some solid white color. I'll be using my round
brush of size zero only. And I'm just going to
paint a beautiful sun. You just have to paint a
circular shape in the sky area. You can decide the position of the sun according to
your convenience. It is absolutely fine. Just make sure that you paint
a beautiful circular shape. You can decide the size
of the sun as well. Now to make the house look a
little bit more aesthetic, we are going to
paint a nice window. You just have to create
these four dots, which is basically creating
a nice window shape. I hope that you
got an exact idea of how to add some
minor details. You can create a
beautiful contrast using solid black color
and white as well. We are done with
the last coaster. Let me take you a little
bit closer so that you can observe all
the details carefully. I hope that you enjoyed creating this particular coaster as well, and got to learn something new. Now let us move towards
the next part where we are going to enhance
all the three coasters.
12. Enhancing the Coasters: Everybody, we are done painting
all the three coasters. Now it's time to enhance them. This particular step is not
at all compulsory to do. If you want to place
your coasters directly towards your bottle
using a simple magnet, that is absolutely fine. But in order to create a beautiful contrast
with the bottle color, what I'm going to do
is that I'm going to add a nice paper
in the background. If you want to place the coaster directly, it will
look like this. In case you want to add a beautiful paper
in the background, then you can follow
these steps further. It's going to be a very
simple and easy technique. What we're going to do is
that we're going to use a simple white paper if you have a rough scrap of paper
that is absolutely fine. Or in case you want to go
for a watercolor paper, that is also absolutely fine. In case you have a
rough scrap of paper, it will work completely. Now what we're going to do
is that we're going to take some simple glue
that you'll find very easily in any
nearby local art store. You just have to apply
some good amount of glue on the back portion
of the entire coaster. Take some good amount of
glue so that the paper gets stuck to the entire
coaster in a very nice way. Use your finger to
spread the glue in the entire surface of the
coaster on the back side. So that the glue can be applied
on the entire surface in a nice way so you can observe the way I'm spreading the glue on
the entire surface. Now, once we have applied the
glue on the entire surface, you just have to place your
coaster onto the white paper. Just simply flip your coaster and place it onto
the white paper. Make sure that there
is enough white space left around the entire circle. Use your fingers or thumb
to apply some pressure so that the paper will
get completely stuck to the entire coaster. Give it some time to settle and the paper to stuck to the
entire coaster in a nice way. Now, once the entire coaster
is stuck with the paper, we are going to use
a pattern scissor. You can observe it's
having a zigzag pattern. We're going to use this
particular scissor to cut the entire remaining
portion of the white paper. We'll get a nice zigzag circumference for
the entire coaster. While doing this
particular step, you have to be a
little bit careful. Leave a little bit of
white space around the circumference of
the entire coaster and just follow the line. No need to hurry at all, just simply follow the
entire circumference and follow the pattern as well. You will slowly
observe that we get a nice zigzag line on the
entire circumference, and this basically creates some beautiful aesthetics
for the entire coaster. Just simply follow
the outline of the entire coaster and
complete it by cutting it out. The reason behind selecting
a solid white color as the background is so that it creates a beautiful
contrast with the bottle. Similarly, you can add this beautiful solid white paper in the remaining two
coasters as well. Now you can observe
how beautiful the entire coaster will look when we place it
onto the bottle.
13. Placing the Magnet: Everybody. Once we are done enhancing all the
three coasters, we are going to place
a simple magnet onto the bottle and
the coasters as well. Here we have basically
created three coasters, but in case you want to create a few more coasters and paint some more beautiful
Was sceneries, that is also absolutely fine. I have added the white paper in the remaining two coasters. Now I'll be using
a simple quick, this is a glue which is a
very quick drying glue in case you want to
use a simple glue that is also absolutely fine. But then you have
to wait for a while the magnet to stick here, I have small magnets. You will find these magnets very easily in any nearby
local art store. And you can observe these are very small magnets that
you can place very easily. We are going to
use the magnet to place onto the coaster
and one onto the bottle. You can observe that I've used a waste paper to enhance
this particular coaster. It was a simple rough scrap of paper on which I practiced. I'll just place one drop of a Fe Quick and then
you have to place the magnet on it so you can add a little drop of pequick
on that as well. And simply place the coaster on the center portion
of the entire coaster. No need to hurry at all. Try to place the magnet in a
very slow and steady manner. Make sure that you place it
on the center of the coaster. Now, similarly, we
are going to add the small magnet onto
the bottle as well. You can decide the position. Try to keep it a little
bit up from the center. You can just add a little
drop of the quick and place your magnet and it will quickly dry and the magnet will be completely stuck
with the bottle. Now we have the magnet onto
the coaster and the bottle, both you can simply
place the coaster to the bottle and you
will observe it will get completely
stuck with the bottle. The best part of
the entire artwork is that you can easily detach the coaster
from the bottle. That is the reason we
have used a small magnet. You can observe how beautifully
the entire coaster can be easily detached and attached
to the bottle easily. Now, similarly, we
are going to add these smaller magnets to the
remaining coasters as well, so that we can
replace the scenery according to our mood
and convenience. As you can observe, I have
flipped both the coasters. No need to hurry at all. While you're placing the magnet, be a little bit careful
because a quick will very easily get dry and your hands might get
stuck onto the paper in case you want to use a simple glue that
is absolutely fine. It's just that the glue
will take a little bit of time to dry and it
is completely okay. You just have to
wait for a while. You can observe that I've
taken another magnet and I have placed it
onto the second coaster. Make sure that you try to place the magnet
onto the center. It is okay. If it is a
little bit off center, that is fine, but make sure that it is approximately
onto the center. Now, similarly, I have
taken another magnet and I'm going to place it
onto the last coaster. No need to hurry at all. Take your time and
place the magnet. Let it dry for a while. We are done adding the magnets
on all the three coasters. Now the best part
about the artwork is that wherever you place
this beautiful bottle art, you can change the
washed scenery according to your
mood and convenience. And it is very easy and simple. Because it is having a magnet, you will be easily able to
attach and detach it from the bottle in case you want to place your coaster permanently towards your bottle. It is absolutely fine. You can do that according
to your convenience. I hope that you got an
exact idea how you have to use a simple magnet to create
this beautiful bottle art. Now let us move
towards the next part.
14. Class Conclusion: The best part about mixed media is that you can use
any art medium, combine it together to
form a beautiful artwork. In this class, we combined
a guash painting, a beautiful bottle art
using a medium of acrylic. And we used some
basic craft work to enhance the entire
class project. It was a really fun and creative
session for me as well. And while I was creating
this particular class, I made any number of mistakes. And that is something
I tell my students that never to be afraid
of making mistakes, you can definitely
enjoy the process. While you're creating
a beautiful artwork. Always try to maintain an art journal on which
you can practice on a regular basis and keep
a record of your artwork. I would be super excited to see all of your class projects. Do not forget to add your projects to the
project gallery. In case you have any questions or doubts related to the class, feel free to ask them into
the discussion section. It would be really
great if you leave a review for the entire
class as it encourages me a lot and my class can reach many more students
like you At the end. I would like to say that enjoy
the process of creating, keep learning, keep practicing. Thank you so much for joining the class and Abbey painting.
