Wow, I love how this came out! There's something about the way you layered your finger prints that gives this face a mysterious, almost ethereal vibe. Using an ink pad is really clever, too - much more portable and less messy than using ink from a pot, I'll have to try that out myself one of these days. Thanks for sharing, Jerney!

Thank you for your sweet comment Michelle! Yes, do try it. It's way more easy to work in this subtle layering of the values with the ink pad. I will definitely try it again on a bigger piece of paper, I think you can create very cool and loose portraits this way. Thank you so much for inspiring me! I would love to see your version wih the ink pad! :)

It'd be great to see this technique on a larger scale, I'd love to see how you handle more details and working larger would make it easier to accomplish that!

Oh thank you! When I'm done finishing filming my printing class, I will definitely go for the larger piece. I'm always excited to explore. :) I will add it as a project to your class when I can get to it.

I hope you'll have fun with the ink pad, scouting for new art supplies is always fun. I just went a little overboard with an alcohol ink haul but I regret nothing haha!
