Thought I'd try something different.  Alternative even!

My first project was a take on Michelle's tree, but with red India ink.  I used a cotton tip, a cotton ball, a sponge and a tooth pick.  The sponge was yellow and must have leaked some pigment into the ink, hence the orange ground. 

 

For my second project, I used my usual black India ink, and used a penguin as a reference to create this weird bird.  I used just a tooth pick and cotton tip for this one.  I quite like the little odd-ball.

 

Overall I enjoyed thinking outside the square with my inking implements.
