"Alabama the Beautiful" is on every sign entering the state of Alabama. It represents the state's importance of natural heritage. I think its pretty beautiful here, definitely what to try and captue some of that with this project....

Into the computer

1st thing I didn't like was the right decender of the letter "A" start of "B" looked odd. Also my composition seemed off and there was too much white space after Alabama. 

I felt this composition was working much better and I descided to use a script "the" instead of creating a sans serif. 

I played around with some stroke weights, but over all I think I like the one solid weight better. 

The "B" appears not to be on the same angle as everything else and some letters look really janky. 

Where I am now

No texture or grunde yet, just trying to get my letter forms together.
