1. Welcome to the Class: The Canva content
creation master class. In the next few hours,
you will unlock all of the information that a
complete beginner needs to understand in order
to be able to convert anything that
he visualizes in his mind into content while
utilizing this amazing tool. Now, in more detail
in this masterclass, we're diving into how to create graphic design projects,
how to edit photographs, and create thumbnails for YouTube videos and
for social media, how to create videos and
edit videos inside of Canva. Then we're moving into analyzing
how to create and edit different presentations in Canva and completely
replace PowerPoint. Of course we cannot have
a Canva master class without having a
separate module on how to create a
brand identity and logos for your brand
inside this program. On top of that, in the first
20 minutes of this course, you will learn how to utilize the already pre
existing templates inside of Canva in order to be able to produce
just from the first, again, 20 minutes of this 80% of the amazing outcome that you
want with 20% of the effort. I'm going to show you
again, how to leverage pre existing templates that
are already designed and created by
professional designers and uploaded in Kava and tailor them to your content and to your preference to
again produce an amazing, professional and flawless design with just 20% of the effort. So enough for this introduction, I'm very happy to have you here. I'm going to see you in the
first lesson of the scores.
3. Master Creating with Templates: Before we dive into the different modules of the scores and before
we go ahead and analyze in depth every
single parameter that can be trigged
in the software, for example, how to edit again, photographs, edited
thumbnails, edit videos, presentations, logos,
and graphic designs, I just wanted to give you a first rough say
outline of how you can utilize the amazing already
made templates in Canva. In this lesson, I'm going
to show you, right, how without needing to edit
much things by yourself, you can utilize the
already made templates to create awesome content with
the least amount of effort. Pretty much, by the
end of this lesson, you will be able
to produce 80% of the content and 80% of the work with 20% of
the effort, right? So I think that you're
going to be amazed. And this is one of
the reasons why I started using GAVa
in the first place, this amazing feature of already created
templates and already created created projects
that you can go ahead download and
start working on. So let me show you exactly what I'm talking about right now. So this right here,
as we mentioned, is the homepage of Canva. Now, by clicking all
of these buttons, you can go ahead and create
a new website and you print, the new video,
social media posts, presentations, and
all that stuff. But we're not going
to do this right now. What we're going to be
doing is that we're going to go templates, right? This is the magic
button right here. In templates, you will see
that you get access to already created templates based of every type of
content that you want. So, for example, we got
business templates, social media templates, print product templates,
education templates, video templates, marketing
templates, all of that stuff. And if you scroll down, it's
like a homepage, right. You get, for example, based on the last design
that you created, it suggests you templates or some of the top picks of Canva. Some templates regarding
upcoming events, which in my case, it's
Valentine's right? We got some POV templates
for short form content, and this is just
the easiest way to immediately start producing
content in Canada without needing to
master the program because these are already made
these are already created. And what we just need to do is simply to replace the content from these templates, right? These are create. Don't
worry about this. You got video
templates, for example, which are videos already kind of edited with the titles
and music added to them. So you can just go ahead and start editing one of
these templates out. This is what I would do if
I was a complete beginner, you can see
presentation templates. Look at all these
presentations that you can use and just start
editing as our templates, YouTube thumbnails,
whiteboard templates. Look at this, all of those
different whiteboard templates to outline different
stuff on Canada. We got doc templates, business cards that you can use as templates and just
write your business cards. How cool is that? So again,
without needing to brainstorm a new business card from the beginning and try to think
like a graphic designer, you got all of these
business cards that are already designed by
graphic designers. So all you got to do is just click on them and
start editing them. You got worksheets, right? You got banners for YouTube, for LinkedIn, for social media, Instagram stories,
Instagram posts, logos, t shirts, websites. How crazy is this? You can literally
just in seconds, by launching Canvas, you can literally create a website just by tweaking one of
these websites. But let's say you already
have something in mind. So, for example,
you can search in these templates for Instagram. Reels video or Carousel
Instagram post. Let's go to Instagram
Reels video, for example. And you can see that once you search something in this
search bar right here, it will give you all of
the different templates for Instagram Reels videos. How cool is that? So imagine, for example,
let's click on this, right? Customize this template. This is how we go ahead and
tweak templates. Now, more information on how
to edit videos and how to customize templates
and what happens in this part of the screen
is going to come later. But all that I want
to show you is that this graphic design
right here and this again, animated titles animated effect as you can see it right here, but now that I'm
playing it back, it would be very hard for you
to learn how to animate it and create and import all of the assets and know
that this, for example, off white color, which the transparency is at
80 and it's not 100, it's better to use for
this type of content. In order to have the
artistic eye that needs, right, that someone needs in order to create
one of this, right? You need to invest
serious amount of time, energy and effort
into understanding graphic design and positioning
in content creation. But you don't need to do
this because we have all of these templates already
created for us. So again, in order
to access templates, you click on the
template Sab and you can click on all of these
different again, types of templates, for
example, social media. You can see those are different social media templates
so you can browse around print products,
right? Let's check them out. Those are different
print products. You can also add as PDFs to potentially your courses to
potentially your e books. You can sell these as
digital products, right? Now, regarding education,
again, you can have math, science, visual art, design, what's good to science, right? And all of these
different water circle, animal habits, the solar system, life cycles. Look
at this energy. There's just so much
content here that can be repurposed and can
be leveraged, right? And it just comes down to you understanding how to
source this, right, and how to tweak it to your preference in order to
distribute your content, you know, machinery to
your content systems. It's awesome. So this was
this lesson right here. Again, before we dive into more specific details on how
to utilize this program, how to work with Canva, and the different tools that we're going to be diving
into the next modules. I just wanted to show you
how to utilize templates, where did source templates. And now, if you combine the information that you got
from this lesson right here with information in next lessons in which we're again diving
deeper into software, you have a complete
understanding on how to utilize Canva. So thank you very
much. I'm going to see you in the first
module of the square.
5. Design Stunning Logos with Templates: Now we're done with the overview of the interface of Canva, it is time to create
our first project. And our first project, the first category that we're
going to be diving into, is going to be logo creation. Now, many people use
Canva for logos, to create logos for
their small businesses, companies, YouTube channels. You can create profile
pictures also in Canva. Right? And in this
lesson right here, we're diving into
analyzing the exact tools, systems and processes
that you can use in this software right
here to create your logo. And by the way, I have
created the logo of my community and my small, personal business in Canva. So it's very cool. I use this. Like, I've used this
multiple times in the past, and I think that you're going to find great value in this lesson. So let's get started. So here we are again in the interface. And as we discussed about
in the previous lesson, there are two ways to
start a new project once you're in the home page. Canva. The first one
is to click here, create a design, and
then click to Logo. You can see that
it already comes with the preferred
resolution of a logo, right, which is 500
times 500 pixels. And you can also
do it from here. So you can type logo, Canva templates and you'll see that you can create a
logo or an animated logo. It's the exact same
thing. So again, this and the created design
part, it's exact same thing. Let's generate a logo. So as you can see, we can either start by
creating a blank logo. So starting again
from complete scratch with a just white, small 500 times 500 pixel Canva, all right, you use for a logo or we can use some of
Canva's templates. So all of these are
Canvas templates. And depending on if you
have the free version or the paid version of Canva, you have access to
different templates. All right, I have
the paid version, so I have access to
all of the templates. Now, really it really
comes down into if you find a template that matches the style of your logo, there are thousands
of templates, tens of thousands of templates, and they're actually
very, very cool. I'm going to show you
a way to actually filter out some templates that don't really apply
to your business. So, for example, let's say
that you run a tech company, right, compared to
running a candle company. Your logos should be like
very not identical, right? So how do we filter this? We can filter this from
these buttons right here. So you can choose art
and design, for example, and it will show you art
and design logos, right? So if you go back
here, for example, the logo you can change all of the food
and drink logo, right? So now we have access to all
of the food and drink logo. If you want a
Mexican restaurant, for example, you can access
this logo right here, which is very cool or this
for fried chicken, right? So you have all of this huge category of templates and logos, and
you can find it from here. If you're a dij,
right, Dij logos, all of these are logos like tailored for Digi that
would work for Dijis. And some of them, as you
can see, are animated. So if you have this small
play button right here, it means that the logo is
animated, and you can go ahead. And actually animate the logo. So there are so many different
logos that you can source. It's absolutely insane. Let's say, though,
that you don't want to source a logo, and this again, is a tutorial, it is a course, let's start with
creating a blank logo. So once you click on
Create a blank logo, you will be redirected
in a new page, and this is going to be
the page for your logo. Now, as you can
see, this is like the 500 pixel times 500 pixel. Um, logo Canva that was
generated by the software. And you can see that we have all of these
buttons right here, and those are the
editor buttons. So this is the editor
hub in general, right, in which we get to
edit the logo and add stuff and remove stuff
from our logo, right? And in the design, we
still have the template. So even if we have created
like a blank Canva, you can see that we can still source some of the templates. And let's say that, for example, you want to source a template, but we just want to use a
single element of the template. Let's say, for example, that
I really like the Panther, but I hate the types here, the title it says Black
Panther since 1988. What I'm going to
do here to subtract just the Panther is that I'm either going to click on it so it directly sources to my Canva, and I can then select and edit, as you can see, I can
remove the background. So now I have the
Panther, as you can see. Or what we can do is
that we can go back back back and we do this
on the MacBook by pressing Command and Z, which is going back. And we can go back to
design to the Panther. Let's say we just want to source one part of this logo,
one element of a logo. We click to add page, and we can click on the Panther, to be added, like
the template logo to be added in the second page. This is the page of our logo, the logo that we want to use. But let's say we want
to get an element from another logo, for
example, the Panther. We click on the element that
we want to get we press Command C to copy and
command V to paste. So just like that, I grab this element from a
template that I liked. Then we go ahead and delete
this page right here. We can add a new page,
and then that's how I like to source stuff
from other logos. Let's say that, for example, I really like this title
right here that says Spencer. I can go ahead and
let the background. I can select this,
I can copy it, and then I can paste it
in my primary, again, logo, which is the first
page of the editor. I always like to add
pages and then source designs from other logos
and other templates that I might like in order
to add to my logo. That's one approach that
you can do obviously. You can change you can
change many stuff here. If you click on
this, for example, if you click on a
graphic design. You get to change all of this stuff right here.
So we can animate this. We can change the
transparency, right? We can flip it horizontally. We can flip it vertically,
all that stuff. We can change, for example,
the border weight, right, because at
the end of the day, this is a graphic design
and also we can change the colors so that we want
to change the colors, right, all that stuff. Now, graphic designs, images, and titles have different things that you can pretty
much change, right? And you get to know this by just clicking on the element
that you want to change. So let's say we want
to change this. This is a title, obviously. And when I click on it,
you will see that I can change the font to
whatever font they want. I can change the
size of the font. I can also change the color of the font, right,
all of that stuff. Now, in order for you to know what you can or cannot change, it's good for you to just click on the element that you'd
want to change or you're thinking of changing
and see if Canva allows you to do so or what
it allows you to do so. For example, this again,
this is a graphic design, and you can edit it from here. You can edit it, you can change the blurness,
you can blur it. But we're going
to be diving into the image editor mode in
another section of the squares. For now, I just wanted to
show you how to source stuff from other templates to
apply to your logo, right? So again, we mostly
focused on how to source elements from other
templates that are pre made in Canva from the
design section, right? For example, again, a final example before we
move into the next video, which I'm going to
show you how to create logos from
completely scratch. Let's we like let's say, the font that says company. Again, we click on it,
Command C to copy it, command V to paste
it to our logo, and here it is in our logo. Now, if you want to
change the background, by the way, of your logo, you just click on
the background. You will see that
whenever you hover your mouse on something, it automatically,
like select it. It doesn't really select it, but it proposes to select it. So you can see I'm
hovering my mouse above the tiger or Puma or
whatever this is. And I'm prompt to select
it or I'm hovering the mouse above the title,
and I'm prompt to select it. If I hover the mouse
on the background, you'll see that I can select it and I can select
the background, and I get to either animate, position it, or change
the color of it. In general, if you want to
edit anything in Canva, you just have to hover your mouse above it
and click on it. And you will see all
the editing options you will have just
pop up, right? And also, in these
editing options below, you can lock it. And if you lock it,
you cannot pretty much like grab, drop
it, whatever you want. Whereas I can do this with other elements
that are not lock. For example, now I unlock it, and I can also duplicate it. So there are two ways to
duplicate something in Canada, either press Command V and
Command C and Command V, which is copy and paste. But I can also duplicate
by clicking here and pressing on duplicate
button. Now it's duplicated. Now, again, to change the
background of any project, this could be a
pab presentation, a thumbnail, a logo. We click on the background, and we click on the
background color, and you can change from all
of this color selection menu. A color selection
menu pops up right? In the left of your screen,
once you click this, this is the editor menu
again in which you can change all of these colors
right from gradients. You can use gradients,
different gradients. This actually looks pretty good. This actually looks pretty good. So let's actually do
this. Here you go. That's a very basic logo that we sourced from our templates. Now, again, in the ext, I'm going to show you how to
create a logo from scratch. You can source
elements from Canva, but we're not going to
be using templates. We're not going to be
stealing stuff from already created
templates from Canva. We're going to be sourcing them from elements that are
integrated into the platform. So more information on
that in the next dozen.
6. Create Unique Logos from Scratch: Previous lesson, we discussed
how to source elements from different logos
that have already been generated as
templates in Canva, and copy some elements from different logos and integrate
them into your logo. Now it's time to actually showcase how
you can create a logo from scratch directly in the
logo creator mod in Ganva. So let's do this in
this lesson right here. Now, as you can see, this was the previous logo
that we created by sourcing elements from different templates already
created in Canva. So you can go ahead and actually
completely delete this, and I can do this by selecting
the elements that we source and just clicking on
Backspace and deleting it. So here we are again
with a new page, right, with a blank page,
and we can do this. Also, we could have done
this by clicking Ad page, having a new blank page, and
just deleting the first one. So this is the exact same thing. Now, let's say that we want to create a
logo from scratch, right, a very basic
logo with a letter. So the first thing
that we can do is that we're going to
source a background. We already we obviously need a background color
or a logo, right? Two ways to do this. The first one is by
clicking the background and changing the color from
here so you can change it. Here to any different
color that you want, or if you want to go rogue, and what I usually do in Canva. And the reason why I use this
software is this amazing, amazing option right here, which is called elements. Once you click on elements, you will see that you
can get access to a huge hub of
different photographs, videos, graphic designs and
titles sourced in Canva. In my opinion, Canva
is the best way to source elements in order to add to your projects.
What do I mean by that? You can pretty much type anything in the search bar
in the elements section, literally anything, and it
will show you photographs, videos, and graphic
designs of it. Let's say, for
example, that I want a purple background in my logo. I'm just going to
write here, purple, right? Background. Here it is. Background. Click on it,
and you will see that I have graphics, photographs, videos, audio, shapes, frames, mockups and charts of
a purple background. For example, purple
background is not something that can be really applied
in graphic design. Let's click on it and
see what happens. So these, for example,
are different graphics of purple background, right? Different photographs
of purple background. Right here, different videos of purple backgrounds, right? You can see that
these are videos. And if I click in any
of these elements, they will be automatically
sourced in my logo. So what I would do in this case, for the sake of a logo creation, I would click on graphics. And by the way, I want you to know that
the elements stab, the tech tab, the brand tab, the upload stab are obviously available regardless of what
we're editing in Canvas. So we could be editing a logo, we could be editing
a presentation. We could be editing
a photograph, could be editing a thumbnail. We'll be always using the
elements tab in Canva. This is why we have Canva
in the first place. So let's say that
I would like this. This would be a
great graphic source as a background to my logo. So first of all, we need to delete this or at least
change it to a white color. We don't really care actually to change it to a white color because as you will see in a moment in Canva
and in general, when we're performing
graphic design, there are different layers of the elements that
we add on our logo. So for example, as you can see, this graphic design
that we added, it's like it rests above the white background that we
have because this is layer, and we can see this
actually by clicking here, clicking on the
graphic that we added. Right click and once we right click on a graphic
that we have added, you can see that we have this
editing menu right here. We can copy it, we can paste it, we can duplicate it.
We can delete it. And all of this can be done with shortcats and you can
see the shortcas here, Command C, Command B, Command D to duplicate and delete it. But what we really want
to do here is that we want to replace the background
with this graphic design. So what we're going to be doing
is that we're going to be right clicking and clicking
on set Image as background. And once I click this,
you can see that the image is applied
as a background. It cannot be moved. It is directly applied
as a background. Now, there are many other
things that we can add, for example, in the logo. So like to make this
even easier for you, you can literally search
whatever you want in the elements and you will find it and you can
source it in your logo. Let's say you have
a zoo, for example, you can search Zoo and
you will see in graphics, you will have all of these
things related to a Zoom. So you can add this,
for example, right? You can make it
bigger to apply to the borders of your
logo, and you have it. It's like a small zoo, right? And in the middle, you
can add a fountain. I'm just brainstorming
random stuff here. Check this out, for
example, you just created a zoom with a random
fountain in the middle. So you have full creative potential of
what you can do here. And Again, let's say that you wanted to
create a logo with a letter. For example, I
love letter logos. My company's logo is a letter, and it's the letter C, right? So let's say that
we want a letter, and the letter of your
company would be A. So you can search at A here, press Search and go to graphics, and you will see all of
these different capital As, which is insane. So for example, this
could be a small logo, the balloon capital A. Right? Or this could
be also a logo. It doesn't really match with
the color of the background, and we can change it from here. So we can also, if we source a graphic or
a photo or a video, we can actually apply
some changes to it, especially graphics
because photos cannot be edited like graphics. But once we source a graphic, we can go ahead and
edit it from here. So we can do it
White, for example, and white really
applies as a color of contrast to the
purple background. We can also change
the transparency to make it less transparent here. Right? And there are many, many different things we can apply. Now, a small tip that I have to give you
if you want to add depth to your logo is to go ahead and in
the elements dab, search for white shadow. White shadow is an amazing way
to add depth to your logo. I don't know if you can see
it, but here we have all of these different
images of white shadows. And if I click on it, it will be sourced in the
middle of my logo. So you can see that this is like a graphic that I just
added of white shadow. So this can act as
foreground in our case. I can make it bigger, make a white shadow
bigger and move it outside of my frame
just about here. So this way, you can
see that we just added a small white shadow
here on a logo, and it just gives it
a sense of depth, and we can do this same thing by clicking Command C, Command V, duplicating the white shadow, and perhaps also adding it in the top right of the
corners right here. You can see that this just added another layer of
depth to our logo. Sonya, I have a basic
understanding on how to create a logo in Canva, how to source graphics, photos and videos to integrate
your logo and how to add some depth with the white shadow effect that
we discussed about. Then this doesn't right here. Now, keep in mind that
we're going to be diving deeper into the different ways to customize your logo, your thumbnail, and
your graphic designs in general in Canva
next lessons, but we're taking this
one step at a time. Now, in the next
lesson of the scores, we're going to be
discussing how to source the same elements, right, the same graphic designs, the same pictures
and images to create PDF guides and PDF
documents in Canva, because this is also
huge thing that can be applied by leveraging the
power of this software. So more information about this in the next lesson
of the scores.
7. Learn to Create Professional Documents: Another very common
content piece that you will be creating in Canva if you interface
with this program, and something that you should definitely
know how to create are documents and more
specific PDF documents. Now, there is no point
of me analyzing why PDF documents are
very important and how they can enrich
your digital presence, and they could be leveraged
as content online. This is potentially stuff for another course or another
total of mine, right? But in this video, I'm going
to show you how to create these PDF downloadable
documents and how to leverage Canva and its creative
opportunity in order to build absolutely amazing
documents and PDF documents. Give out to people as content. We're here again in
the homepage of Canva, and we're going to be
clicking on Create a design. Now, here we have all of these different types of
things that you can create, print products, those are
certificates, all that stuff. I Docs, you can click on Doc. Right? So once you click on Doc, you have this document
right here, and guess what? As we analyzed in previous
lessons of the scores, once you go on templates, you will see all of the different doc
templates that we have. And those are doc templates
for documents, right? We got action plans, we got creative briefs, right,
project proposal. So we can search actually
in these doc templates, exactly the type of document that we're
trying to create here. So let's say that
we're trying to create a content planner. All right, you can see
that we have all of these different
documents that can be applied for our
content strategy. That's the best
way, in my opinion, to approach this, right? So the best way to approach
creating documents in Canada, just as we've done with logos, just as we'll be doing with different types of content,
like presentations, videos, photographs, and that
stuff is to source some templates and potentially
use different stuff from different templates
or starting with an already designed template and just enriching it with
your personal touch. So in the case of like
a content planner, we can start with a template
that generally like, for example, this would be one
of these templates, right? We have this content strategy
template right here, and we can go ahead and
actually just edit it, right? And all of the different
editing principles that we discussed about in
previous lessons can be also applied here. So, for example, once you
click right on an element, you can edit its design, and it will bring
you into a new page in Canva in which you
get to edit everything. So again, we're hovering above the title, if
I can click on it, and we can change the color, as you can see
here, we can change all of the different stuff. Many, many different
things to tweak many different things change,
you can animate stuff. And again, when something requires heavy editing
and heavy animation, this new window of Canvas off once you click
Save, it's done, right? So here is where we
can change stuff. In general, you
tweak stuff exactly as you tweak it in
Microsoft Word, right? So we click to select something. We're
going to delete it. We're going to be like, Hey, make sure to leave a positive
review to this course. It really helps out, right? So, for example, you can tweak, wherever you want, right? And this is how I
go ahead and edit, like, in general, my
documents in Canada. I really like to start
with a template of, like, Canva of the program
and then just change it. Of course, in the document
editing section of Canva, you can also add your CV, right? So there are different CV
templates that you can use. And you can either, like, replace the current template
you have or add it. So in this case, we're
going to be replacing it. And for example,
this is how you can create CVs, right, with Canva. And we're going to have
a separate lesson on CV creation because
it's very important, but it's going to be after we've discussed about photo
editing, right? So in general,
exactly the same way in which we sort stuff from the template as a
template and added them to our projects in the
case of the logo creation, the exact same thing applies if we want
to create documents, PDF documents, and
just tweak stuff. It all comes down into having
our home, let's say, Canva, a blank Canva, and
just importing stuff from templates,
already created, right? Already created templates
from the program, and then tweaking them, choosing
the stuff that we want, removing the stuff
we don't want. And then once we've chosen the principles and the elements that we want from each template that is already made in Canva, we can go ahead
and hover a mouse above it and tweak it even more so change the color
animate it to change the transparency,
that type of stuff. Now in the next and
final lesson of the graphic design
part of Canva, we're going to be discussing on CV creation and how to
create your CV with Canva. Canva is an amazing tool
to create CV because it already has
enriched, let's say, visuals regarding the CV, and it's going to be very easy to just use and leverage some of their CV templates
for your advantage. So more information about this in the next lesson
of the squares.
9. Master Thumbnail Editing Techniques: Nat introduced some basic
photo editing principles in Canva by sourcing
your photographs. So you must know now how to edit basically your
photos that you've jagged into from
your computer or you've already uploaded
Canva from your computer. It is time to take
it one step further, and let me show you
exactly how to source elements from Canva
and edit them exactly in the same principles by utilizing the same
techniques and principles as we used for our
photo editing applications. So what we're going to be doing here is going to be
adding a new page. Let's keep this right here because we might use
it in our thumbnail. Let's add a new page, and in this page, let's
go to elements. And in the elements, as we've discussed in
previous lessons, you can pretty much search
for, like, whatever you want. So let's go ahead and
search, for example, for, let's say, meeting, right? I want a person that's
meeting in a computer. We go to photos, right? And you will see
that we have all of these photos of meetings. Okay, I might want I
want a subject, right? I'm looking for a subject. Let's say, again, I
might actually change this to video meeting. I want someone meeting
in a computer. Okay? So let's see.
Let's see. Let's see. This could be a good image to source because we
have a main subject. So exactly as we source my
image and we edit this image, we can also do the exact same thing with this
image right here, which is crazy because
we have all of these different images
to source, right? And we have all of this huge
creative potential, right? So I guess, in this
image right here, again, we can remove the
background just as we remove the
background of my image, and we can make it
bigger, for example, right here, you'll see this and we can go ahead and
edit it, right? We can adjust it, right? So we can adjust the brightness. We can decrease the contrast exactly like we did in my
image, which is crazy. We can also I guess we can keep the table because
it looks good, right? So check out another
thing we can do. We can actually go ahead
and change the background. So let's actually go ahead and change the background color. Now, there are two
ways to do this. The first way is decrease
our image a bit. So we have access
to the background. This is the background, right? Remember this is the background because we hover our mouse, and you can see that the borders light up
of the background. But if you hover our
mouse above our image, you will see the
border of our image. And if I click on it, you can
see that we get to edit it. But again, I want to
access the background. So what I did here is that
I changed the border of the image just a bit here, so I have access
to the background. Like click on the background. And you can see that
we can animate it, we can change the color
right and you can see the background color
and all that stuff. But let's say that
I don't want to use a color for background, but I want to change the
background to an image. I can go here and I can click, for example, and type yellow. Background. We have these
yellow backgrounds. Let's click on this. And now what we did is that we pretty
much sourced another image. So you can see that
I clicked on it, and it's in the
middle of our screen. So how do we take this and make it a background?
So check this out. The first thing
that I'm going to do is that I'm going to click on our image of this dude, and we're going to
make it bigger, right? Because we don't want
this part to be cut off. So let's make our image,
take the whole space. And then I click on the
background that we just sourced. Place it here, make it big, so it covers like a whole image. And now, obviously it's
on the background, it's a foreground. So
what do we do here? We right, click on the image, and once we right click,
we can click on Layer. Now, you can either
send backward, right? And you can see that right now, we use the layer principle to send our background in the back, right, and move this
guy in the front. We did this by layering. And how can you
access your layers? Let's say we have
multiple things added. So let's say, for example,
we also have a white shadow. You know that I love
adding white shadows. We go to graphics. This
is a white shadow. So the white shadow, if you can imagine, let's place the white shadow
right here, actually. So if you can imagine, like, the different layers,
as we see the image, the white shadow is above,
so it's the first layer. Then there's this
dude conferencing, and below everything
is our background. But how do we visualize the different layers
that we have? Weg, right click Aw we
want in our creation, and we go to layer,
and in the layer, we can click on Show layers. So what you can see
here in this window, it showed us all of the layers. We have the background layer.
We have this image of ours. We have this dude, and then
we have the white shadow. So check this out. We can dragon drop the elements on our layers. Perhaps show something
or hide something. So let's say we want to hide this dude behind the background, we can just drag it up
behind the background. The White shadow is still
here because the white shadow is above the background of ours. We can also hide
the white shadow. And if we take this and
place it behind everyone, you will see that both
the white shadow and this dude is now in the
middle of our screen. Right? So this is how we
work with our layers, right? Very, very simple. And the more elements you add, you will see that you can
always click on Layer, show layers, and you will just have access to
everything and you can see everything right here. So this is basically how you can source different
check this out. Here, for example, I saw
this small mistake that this image does not
extend throughout the whole image of
ours. Right here. I think this is better.
This is how you can source elements
from Canva and just take everything you have
in your brain and make it a reality through
these applications. Now, we discussed about
sourcing stuff from Canva. We discussed about sourcing our images and editing
them in Canva. The next step here is to show
you how to create Tamails. And there is huge science behind creating
Tumails in Canva, and we can have a
huge lesson on this. I'm going to show you everything that I've
learned through creating hundreds if not thousands
of thumbnails in this amazing application
right here, right? So more information
about this in the next lesson of the squares.
10. Craft Eye-Catching Image Thumbnails: Come to the much anticipated
thumbnail editing, tutorial thumbnail editing part of lessons in this course. Now, the thumbnail editing
part obviously requires some general knowledge on how to source and edit photographs, which we accumulated in
the previous lesson. In the next lessons,
I'm going to show you three different types of thumbnails that you
can create in Canva, and how to utilize the tools of Canva that we have
been discussing about, in the previous lessons
of this course, right to create all thumbnails. Now, we're going to be
using tools again and the software of Canva to
create photo based thumbnails, text based thumbnails, and
template based thumbnails. Again, very cool stuff. Most people and most
of users of Canva utilize the power
of the software to create thumbnails for
their YouTube videos, for their short form content or long term content
destinations. And by the end of the
next three lessons, you will have a circular
understanding on how to
11. Design Engaging Text-Based Thumbnails: Egimen welcome to the second thumbnail
installment of the squares. Now, in this short
lesson right here, I'm going to show you how to create text based thumbnails. These are thumbnails that
do not have a subject. Actually, the text is
going to be our subject, but we're going to
have a background, and I'm going to show you
how to source everything, even from your images or from pre existing templates
from Canva, right? So again, in this lesson, we're discussing about
text based thumbnails. So there are two ways, as we discussed to create
a text based thumil. The first one is to go
completely from scratch, right? So I delete the
title, obviously. You can go to elements,
and you can start choosing exactly what you
want as a background, what you want as a text. Let's say, for
example, that you're creating a thumbnail
regarding Tokyo, right? So Japan. Let's see. Tokyo, right? I would
type Tokyo into the element staab
in the search bar, and then I would go to photos. And in the photographs, you
can see that we have all of these images of Tokyo,
which is absolutely amazing. Let's click on one of them, and you will see that
we have this image. And I want to use this image
as a background, right? So the first thing that
I'm going to do is that I'm going to just drag and drop it to match the
dimensions of what we have here. So this is, for example, an image of Tokyo. It looks like this, right? What we can do if I
want to add a title, is that I can go to text, right? Obviously, at a heading in
the heading type Tokyo. But what can we see here? The first thing we can see here, and this is not that
much canva related. It's mostly
aesthetically related to it's aesthetics
related, right? We need to change
the color of text. Let's go ahead and
change the color of the text by clicking
on the text and then in the color editor in the text editor of the
color, we do white. For example, white has a better, um contrast with the background. Another tip that you
can do in order to make the title even better and
just make the title pop more, honestly, is to click
on the background and let's try to blur it. I love blurring
backgrounds, right? So we go to edit, right? Once we've clicked on this background image that we source, and we click on No Duotone. We click on Blur and in blur, we click on whole image, and we can tweak the entity of how much
we want to blur it. So this much, this much. I think this much would
be cool because we want to see want people to see
that this is Tokyo, right? But we don't want to
see that much because we want contrast with
the title we added. So this right here is a good
first draft of a title. But as you can see,
there's a problem here. The letters of the title
don't pop up that much. So what can we do
to change this? Let's actually click on the
letters, and let's go here. So here you will see
that we can change the font to other fonts, but I actually like
canvas sounds. We can make them bolt
or we can make them unbolt then we can add
effect to these letters. In the effects, we
have the shout effect. You can see it right here
and you can actually change color of the
shadow, right to black. For example, this is actually a way to make the
titles pop by adding shadows to your
letters or we can outline we can directly
outline the letters. So now, it's more
it's better outlined or we can add the neon
effect in which we can tweak the intensity
of the neon and we can actually also change
the color of the neon. Another thing that I really, really like to do even
if I remove this, right? So let's say we don't
want this, right? So here you have the effect. For example, if you
go again to effect, we can decrease and
stop the effects. Another you can do in the
effect is to add a background. By adding a background,
you will see that this creates
some space from obviously the image background of Toki that we
added and the text, and you can tweak the
background colors and everything from
here, the transparency, you can tweak the roundness
of the background, all of that stuff, you
can tweak from here. Again, now this is, for example, an image
tamo we created. If I delete this now, let's say that you wanted to source a Text based thumbnail. I want to create text
based summil based on the elements of Canva.
What would we do? So what I would do is
that I would create a new page or perhaps
duplicate this page, right, and delete the image
or have a blank page. I just want to
create a blank page. I would go to elements
or design better. I would just browse
these designs, right, for a type of title
that I like, right? So for example, right
here, I want to add Tokyo. So let's see, actually, titles that would be
good for us to use. I like this playlist
font, for example, right? So what I'm looking
here are titles and fonts that
look kind of good. For example, this is a good
font, the relaxing, right? So I like how it writes
relaxing here, right, and potentially
once I click this, you can see that
I have access to other titles and
other fonts, right? So for example, the
Late Night vibe, I also really like
the lettering here. I really like the lettering
of late night vibe. And if we scroll downwards, you can see more and
more and more fonts. So I really like the late
night vibe font here. And what I'm going to
do is that I'm going to press Command C to copy it, and I'm going to paste
it in our image. So again, what I did is
that I created a new page. I pasted the template, right, the already existing font that I know that I like
to this new page, and I'm starting to
copy things that I love from this page to
paste to my thumbnail. So for example, from this
already created element, I'm stealing the tiles. I'm printing pressing Command
C and then Command V and see if we just stall
this amazing tile here. And what we can do
with these tiles, then we can click on it, we can change the
color to whatever color serves us, right? And whatever color matches
Tokyo, for example, we could really use this red right here that also
matches this background color. And if you want to make
this pop even more, we can click and we can start
editing the background. And we can do this, for example, by
changing transparency. So you can hear, as you can see, I'm changing transparency, or, it looks like once we change the transparency, there's
something behind. So it's actually tweak
that. Let's see that. If I move this on the side, you will see that, yep,
there is something behind. So let's delete this, and now there's nothing
behind, right? It was something that I sourced
accidentally beforehand. So you can tweak the
transparency again, and you can see
that once I tweak the transparency of this photo, you get revealed
with the background. So if I want to, like,
make it more dark, what I can do is that
I can go to edit. Right, and adjust, you can see that they can
change to brightness. So this is how you
change the brightness of a background image in order to make our tile pop even more. So this, for example,
a way that you can use to create text
based thumbnails. Now, the reality is that both photo thumbnails and
text based thumbnails work, but everything
works perfectly if you combine all of the
elements together. So, in my opinion, the best
way to create thumbnails in Canada is to combine
some of your photographs, to take some of
your photographs. Take also some of
the text elements from the thumbnails that are
available also in Canva, combine everything to create an amazing famil like the
ones that I have created. In the next dozen
of discours we're breaking down a thumel
that I have created, and I'm going to show
you why, in my opinion, this is the best way to approach this whole famil creation thing, B also sourcing your images, combining it with elements
in Canva and putting it all together to an
amazing masterpiece. So this is what we're
going to be doing in the next dozen of the scores.
12. Combine Elements for Perfect Thumbnails: This final video
regarding thumbnails, we're going to be breaking
down and we're going to be analyzing two combination
thumbnails that I've created. So two thumbnails in
which I've grabbed images from my desktop
that I've shot of myself. I've removed the background, and I've combined them
with different elements that I found inside
Canva to create, in my opinion, the best and
optimal results, right? So let me show you exactly how I did this and how you can
recreate this yourself. This right here is
the first image. And the first thing you
can see is that I have this huge subject in the middle of the
image, which is me. But it is way more
complicated, then it looks. For example, you will see
that if we click on layer, and show layers, all of the different elements
that I've added to this image to make
it look how it looks. For example, I
have, first of all, added a background and
this background is gray, but it's blurred out. So what I did is that I
added a gray background. I wanted to start with
a gray background. And what I did is that I
clicked on Edit and I blurred. So you can see that
this is blurred, right you can change
intensity back to its normal. But you can see that
this is why it started, and I just blurred it. This is the first, for
example, element of the Tamil. Then we have the
different titles, so we got best course platforms. In general, in thumbnails, I want you to know that
text is usually placed on the left side of the thumbnail because us humans read text from left to right. So it's best for
the eye to directly hit on text in the left
part of the thumbnail. I love creating geometrical
famils which means that those are thumbnails
divided by me, so I want to have the same
elements on the left side, the same elements
on the right side and me in the middle
of the famile. This is what I've
done in this case. Right. So you can see that
I have the big title in the left side of the thumbnail on the right
side of the thumbnail. I have the different
online course platforms that the Stamil
obviously refers to. I have all of these
different platforms, okay? So you can see that I decided
to add again the text to let's say the thumbnail
and on the right side, all of these different elements, which are just images that
I sourced either from the Internet or from the
elements tab in Canada. And in the middle,
I have my image. Now, this image right
here, obviously, the background has been
removed. You can see it. And if you click on
Edit and adjust, it has also been adjusted. So the contrast
has been adjusted, the highlights the shadows, everything has been adjusted
to this image right here. Now, on top of that,
as you can see, I have added this shadow, this golden shadow behind me. So if you go again, to
layer, show layers, I just want to show you
all of the layers here, and this is a very important part of the thumbnail, right? This right here is the shadow that I
added and we can tweak it and we can move it. So you can see that if I
remove completely the shadow, I cannot separate myself, the subject from the background, but this acts as a
way to separate, separate the subject
from the background. It just adds a bit of
contrast in my back because I'm wearing a black hoodie
and the background is gray. So this again, adds
a way to separate the subject from the background. And this pretty
much is the Tumail. We have the subject
in the middle, and this is an image,
of course, of me. And if I bring the
background back, you can see that it is an
image of me in my bed. Okay, so I actually
can do this right now. Oh, restore. Here you
go restore, brush ice. You can see that
Oh, original image. Okay, it was actually never
I was always like this. So I have removed the background in previous
edits of this image. But anyways, either way,
you get a point, right, to have the image of my the
subject in the middle of the screen with the
background removed in the left side of the screen, the title in the right side of the screen, the elements, right? And a narrow just bring everything together
geometrically, right? Now, let's analyze this image. It's the exact same
type of image, right? I have this image of me
right here in the middle, and you can see
that I've actually duplicated it exactly what
we did in previous lessons. So I've taken this
image right here. Previous image, right,
the background we have, and I duplicated it and I
removed the background from the duplicated image right
here. Why did I do this? Because I wanted to
separate the subject. Why? Very, very simply, right? Very, very simply. I did this because I wanted
my head to overlap the arrow. You can see my head
overlaps the arrow, and it also overlaps these two tabs that mentioned
the number of students. Because this is
in this way of me having my head overlap the arrow and overlap
these two tabs. So the students just
gives another layer of, like, dynamic pretty
much in the thumb. That's what I did. So if you go to layer
here and show layers, you'll see that I have
actually two layers. I have the background
layer and I have this layer in which
I have, again, detached the subject from, like, the background, right? And then I have the
students layer, the zero students
layer, and the arrow. And above everything is the new image of
me because again, I wanted to overlap everything. It's as simple as that. And again, in this
image right here, I could potentially
go to elements, and I could write white shadow, which is my absolute
favorite element to source. Go to graphics, and
you will see that I have this white shadow, if I click on it,
this white shadow is sourced, I can make it bigger, and I really love to
add these white shadows in the bottom right and the top left of the
screen right here. So this just adds another layer
of depth the thumb meils. And I really appreciate
these types of depth, right? So this is why I
added to my thumb meils specially
here, the white had, I think it goes a bit to waste because we already have,
like, the whiteboards. You can add both of them right here or perhaps one
right here and one, um, right here, right? So what I'm doing
pretty much is that I'm hovering my mouse
above these elements, and I'm just placing
it wherever I want. And this is how I created these
two familsV basic famils. But they're easy to do is to create and what I
want you to take from this session right here
is upgrating a famil and Canva pretty much comes down
into three different steps. The first one is
taking your subject, right, and pretty much
removing the background. It's very easy and
very straightforward. Do that with the
background remover tool. And then we need to add a
background to the image. You can just source
a background from the elements tab and just search in the search bar for the
background that you want. You can blur the background of the background that you
have sourced, again, in the photo editing tool and then add some
titles that you like. These titles, for
example, I sourced from already created
projects in Canva, and other elements that describe what you're describing
with your thumbnail. Now you have full
creative potential in Canva regarding Tamil. You can create Tamails
around whatever you want and can create them however you like and
however you want. My goal with this
lesson right here in this video is to
empower you and give you all of the knowledge and creative tools in order
for you to be able to take anything you have in your brain and make it
a reality with Canva. Now we're ready to move to the next section of this course, the next module
of this course in which we're going to be
discussing about Canva, video, how to tweak videos,
how to edit videos, how to edit viral and
all that stuff in Canva. See you in the next module
in the next lesson of this.
13. Find and Use the Best Stock Footage: So Ligamen welcome to the third module of
this Canva course in which we're discussing about video creation with
this amazing software. Now, I use Canva for video
for three different reasons, and those are the three
different lessons we be tackling in this
module right here. The first reason
that I use and you can also use Canva
for video is to source stock video and
source stock footage to use to your editing program. Now, this first reason, again, this first reason
to use Canva and this first approach applies if you already have an external editing program and
editing software, for example, Final Cut, premiere pro eye
movie, Cap cat, right? It doesn't matter which editing
software you just that we utilize Canva to source stock footage. And
what is stock footage? If you're a complete
beginner, you should know that stock
footage are videos like that weren't shot by you of pretty much anything that
you can use to your story. You can leverage
to your advantage. For example, if you're discussing
about a video regarding someone coding something
on a computer and you want to add some visual
representation of that, but you don't have the
time to shoot a video of yours coding something
into your computer, you can go ahead and
source a stock footage, a stock video of someone coding something from their
computer from the web. The thing here is that these stock footage
websites are usually, like, kind of expensive and
their content isn't as good. Whereas in Canva,
we discussed about how we can source like
stock photos, stock videos, stock graphics from
the templates, and the elements tab
of the software, and the exact same thing
applies to videos. So we can definitely use Canva
to source stock footage. The second way that you
can use Canva is to use it as a video editing software. So we can directly
edit videos in Canva. We can import our ARL, we can import our viral, and we can start
editing in CAVA. So this is the second
way that we can do this. And the third way
that we can use Canva is to combine both. So not only use it
as an editing tool, but also use it as both an editing tool and a
stock footage sourcing tool. This way, we can directly
edit our videos from Ointe from A to Z in camera, and this is what we're
tackling in the next lesson. So in this first lesson, I'm going to show
you how to source stock footage and how to
export stock footage. So you have it in your
desktop, in your computer, and you can then import it in your own editing software
and make things very easy. Now, even if you
don't have editing software and you want to
edit videos in Capta, this video will be valuable to you because you
need to know how to source footage especially
stock video footage in Canva. So let me show you exactly
how to do this, right? So we're here in the interface
of Canva, as you can see, and what we can do is
that we can, again, either create a design or
search for content in Canva. Now, video is very, very
commonly produced in Canva, and we can just
click on this button right here, which says video. Click on it, and we can choose all of these different videos. Again, video formats to use. We can use Ten
ADP, mobile video, Facebook video, Instagram, real. All of these different again, types of videos we can use. For the sake of this, again, Tutorial, we're going to be
using the most common format, which is 1920 times ten ADP, which is just full HD video. This is just the frame the
resolution of a full HD video. Now as you can see that in
the enter tab of this video, it is a bit different
than the ones that we already know from
the different lessons, previous lessons of the course. We don't really have
the same elements here, and what really changed is this section right here
below in the screen, as well as this, right? So what is this
section right here? This is the timeline, right? And I don't know
if you're familiar with video editing
software in general. I'm just in a very
small introduction. Here, the timeline all right? Shows a visual representation of different video clips that
you have according to time. So this axis right here is time. You can see 0
seconds, 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds, and this is the
visual representation of the different video elements that you have imported
in this software. For example, if I click on
this element right here, which you can see is
just a blank page, I can click on the borders
and actually extend it. So you can see that we extend it to 20
seconds, for example. And now for 20 seconds, we're going to see
this black screen. How do I actually
play back the video? You can see that when I hover my mouse above one of the elements, you see this a small line.
It's called the pin, right? And in this pin, we can
click on the beginning of the video right here or we can
jug and drop it like this. And if you click on
this play button, you will see that
the pin will start moving forward
according to time, and this is how the video plays. Now obviously, we do not have a visual stimulus in this case, because it's just a
blank white page. And if I click, by the way,
space, it stops playing. This is very typical pretty much every single video
editing application, video editing software like
this principle applies. So how do we source stock footage and video
templates to our video? Again, in this case, I'm assuming that you have
another editing software, or you will be editing in Canva, and you just want
stock footage, right? So what we're going
to be doing is that we're either going to
be going in templates. So as you can see, those are already pre recorded
video templates. Those are ready videos
that we can use, but I usually go to elements, and I search in the elements
for what I want so let's keep actually using
the example of Tokyo because I really
love Tokyo, okay? You can see that I
search on Tokyo, and as you can imagine, we go to videos and
check this out. We have all of these
different videos of Tokyo. How cool is that? And, trust me, it is
not easy to source that many clips and with such a huge variety of
clips of Tokyo elsewhere. Canva is an amazing software
to source stock footage. How do I import one of these
stock videos to my work. I just click on it,
and as you can see, it has completely replaced like the previous clip of ours. And it hasn't actually
really replaced it. As you can see, just
pasted the video above our background, right? So what we can do here, is that we can click on the video, right click the video, and click on set
video as background. Now the video is the background and you can see that
if you click Play, you have this video
of Tokyo playing. Now, let's say that
I don't want to use a whole video because I'm bored. What we can do is
that we can click on the exact point in
which we want to stop the video and either right click here and
click on Split page, or we can go here
and click on Trim. We can click on Trim pause it, trim it wherever we want. Let's trim it here, for example, right, and we can click Done. So now we trimmed
it at 2.8 seconds. Another thing that we can do if we don't want to
trim it, all right? Let's make it again,
the whole length. We can go ahead here and
click on split page. And as you can see, we
have two different videos, and we can take this one and
move it wherever we want. This is how we split
a video in now, videos in Canada also have the background remover option exactly like we had
in photographs, which is absolutely amazing and very cool to
have it in videos. For example, Canva
has this application, and it's completed for free. Like, Canva has this ability to remove your background
from videos if you have a
subject, obviously. And this is something that my video editing program that cost 500 bucks doesn't have
Final Cut Pro, right? But Canva has it. So
it's absolutely amazing. Now, we sourced this
video of Japan. Let's go ahead and search for Tokyo Mountains, for example. And you can see
that they also have images Tokyo Mountains.
It's insane. Like, the variability of stock footage is
absolutely insane. Once I click on it, you will see that it is sourced.
But check this out. I click on it, and it was
sourced right above this video. We don't really want this. What we want is a new clip. So how do we do
this? I delete this, and I click on Ad page. Now, this page is added, and you can select
different pages. So now I select the second page, and in the second page, I click on the video
that I want to import. Once the video is
imported, right click Set video as
background, and there you go. So whenever you want
to source a new video, let's say that I want
to source a video of a lion, for example, getting kind of weird, but whatever, I can
add a new page, select the page here
in our timeline and click on the video button that I Want to
source. Click on it. You will see that it sourced
in the middle of the page. Right click Set video as background, and
there you have it. So if you play, for example, you will see that now there
will be a continuity with all the stock clips that I
have sourced to continuity. We start with Japan, Tokyo, then we have the
Tokyo Mountains. And then if I keep
on clinging play, you can see we have
the lion right here. And if I want to
remove that's actually a very high resolution
video of Tamil of a lion. That's why I'm saying that
it's very cool to source stock clips from Canada. How do we export these clips? Let's say that I don't
want them for example, let's say that I want
to export each and every single one of
these clips, right? So, for example, I do
not want to export a big movie that's 30
seconds long, right? That's going to be
playing clip one clip two, clip three,
but I want to, like, export three
different clip files. How do we do this?
We click on share. And in general, this
is where we export stuff on Canva, right? And we click on Download. So once we click on download, you can see that we
can check the quality and we can tweak
the differen quity. We can download it in ten DP, we can download it in
four K. Obviously, I always choose the
highest quality available. And then we select the pages. Those are pages, like
every single clip these it's called a page. It's completely
fine. And then we click on this amazing
button right here which says download
pages as separate files. Once you click this and
you click Download, you will see that you will have, in your possession three
different clips of these three different stock footage clips that we sourced. So this is pretty much how
to source stock footage, like from Canva to utilize
for your video editing. It could also be utilized
in Canva, but you can also, input it in other video
editing software and just use Canva as a stock footage
sourcing website. Now, in the next lesson of the scores of this module regarding video editing Kanva. I'm going to show you how to
import one of your videos, color graded and start tweaking it and trimming it
and clubbing it and editing it in Kanva again from scratch without needing any
other editing software. That's happening in the
next video of the scores.
14. Edit A-Roll for Polished Videos: Gentlemen, welcome to the
second installment of the video editing
module of Canva. Now in this second
installment right here, I'm going to show
you how to source videos of yours and
import them into Canva and edit them directly
inside the program. In the next lesson, I'm going
to show you how to combine video of yours that have
been sourced and edited, which means pretty
much trimmed and split and color graded
inside the program and then partnered up with templates and stock footage
that we will be sourcing again from Canva to create this beautiful end result that we're looking for regarding
video editing in Canva. So we are here. I've opened a new video project actually because the
video that I'm going to be importing is going to be
vertical, not horizontal. It is going to be a short
form content video, right? So it's actually
going to be an ad, and I'm going to be editing, and I'm going to be dragging
and dropping it right here from the folder that I have
in my desktop to Canva. So I'm dropping it, and
you will see that it is actually uploading right here so you can see it being
uploaded in videos. It's like a small
way that you have in the upload section and this
way picture is growing. And once it is completely
filled with blue, this means that the video
is uploaded in Canva, you can go ahead and
start editing it. Now, you can start
actually editing it before it is completely
uploaded in Canva, but for the sake of speed, and I don't want to
over work the program. I just wait until the videos
are completely uploaded. So now that it's uploaded, the first thing
that we can see is that in the time frame, the duration of
the video, right, it's how much 2 minutes, so exactly 2 minutes. Once I click on it, you can see that we can go
ahead and edit it. So the first thing we want
to do is that we want to actually fix the aspect ratio
to fill the entire box. So we can do it in
actually two ways. Let me show you from
here. We can go ahead and click on the video, go to flip flip vertically. Sorry, flip horizontally. No, it's not possible from here. Well, it's fine. We can just do it from here. Check this out. We 90 degrees, we increase the video right here to
fill out the entire screen. And just like that, you can
do this or more easily, you can click on set
video as background, and now the video
is the background. Now, the video editing
applications in Canva, it's pretty much the exact
same, like the process. It's pretty much like
the exact same as we would do in our
editing software. I really like to edit my
videos based on audio. So what I do is that
I click on Play. And for example, I know that
I'm going to get prepared to shoot this video before I actually go ahead and deliver
the content that I want. So I'm going to click on Play, and I'm going to pose
the video exactly where I think that the
video will be starting. So let's see. So that's
ad number three now. Okay, so I just said
that that's an ad number three, so we don't
want to use this. Wait a bit. Okay, so here
you can see that I'm saying, Hey, which means that this
is where the video starts. So I'm going back a
bit before I say, Hey, I click on pause, and now this is exactly where
I want the video to start. So what I do is
that I click here. Again, right click split page, and I have this part, which is going to be
the part that's going to be used and this part
which I want to delete. So I just go ahead and
click on here, Delete page. And now, if you can see, the beginning of our
video starts with me directly talking
to the camera. I just looking for a reliable
side hustle? This is it. I just said the second
part. I click again here, split page, and then I click on space to see the part that
will be cut out again. Let's actually click
and play again. It's rendering, it's
rendering. There you go. Now I'm going to say
something. I can see it from my
facial expression. I click on split page, and I click on the video
that I want to delete, I go ahead and click press
backpage and delete it. So if we view the
whole video that we have edited up
until this point, you can click on page. I'm looking for a
reliable side house overwhelmed by the
usual business models like job shipping and agency. So this is, for example, the first two parts
of the video. Now, I will not bore you by
editing the whole video. This is just a way for you
to edit, like the Arol. And what Arol really is, it's just the main video
of our again, timeline. Now, above ARL, you can
go ahead and add BL. And what BL is, is just again, visual representation
of what the ARL says. It could be shot and sourced by you or it can be sourced
by stock footage. The last thing that
I want to show you regarding ARL is how we can tweak actually
the brightness and all that stuff
from this video here. So we can actually
click on this video, right, and we can change
the transparency, as you can see here, we can go ahead and change some colors, right, but we really do not
want to do this actually. So let's click on like, Okay, we don't want to do this. And we can go ahead
and click on Edit, and in edit, we can go ahead
and remove the background. This doesn't work
perfectly for video, so I want you to
keep that in mind. We can increase the volume. We can really extract the audio, which is an amazing feature. So again, we click on
extract audio and you can export just the audio of the video and where
this could be used. You can extract the
audio, for example, if you want to run it through an audio enhancing software,
but check this out. It already has an audio
enhancing software in Canvas. So you can click on this, and now the audio will be enhanced. It just takes a moment. To load. But then again,
once it is loaded, you can see that the
audio will be enhanced. Now, you can change
the highlights, you can remove the background, exactly what we did pretty much like in the photo editing applications
of the software, right? So let me click on backspace
because I don't want to bore you with loading the
audio enhancing software. Regarding the adjustments,
you can increase the warmth brightness,
the contrast. So you can really edit videos,
as you can see in Canva. Pretty flawlessly, fades,
so to make it more smooth. You can increase the
vibrance, the saturation. Just by applying some very basic color grading principles, you can see, oh, and now the voice clarity
is also enhanced. So let's see, actually, let me show you the difference
between the video that we just like very basically edited and change the colors
with the previous one. So this is what it
used to look like. And then if I press space, you will see the transition from the previous video to this
one right here. Let's see. Ship in the agency I
think this looks better. I actually this looks better. Well, we haven't cut it down, so let's see what
I'm about to speak. I think It's around here. Okay. So I would
go ahead and click right click split page,
Delete this, right? And you have the new video
right here. In agencies. You see, everyone online seems
to be doing one of these. Okay, and I really like actually this new color grading
style right here. Then we can go ahead and try
to remove the background. Now, I do not promise you that
it's going to be perfect. Actually trying to remove the background from
this clip right here. I do not promise
you that it's going to be perfect because, again, I am moving and this is a moving shot, so it's
not going to be perfect. And obviously, it detects
background with AI and stuff. So yeah, it's not
going to be perfect. The background remover tool in Canva for
photographs is perfect. For video, you got
to give it, like, some space and some time and the benefit of
the doubt because, again, like, it's AI. It is not even a
downloadable application. It's sourced on the web. But if you have patients,
you can try it out. So we could wait to see how
it removes the background. That being said, I
really wouldn't use it. So let's just not use it. Now, in the speed right here, what I pretty much show
you showed you is how to import a video of
yours in algal Pro, how to apply some basic color grading principles
and how to edit, how to split it, how to remove the parts that you don't
want from the video, right? And what we're going to be
doing in the next step, like, of this process, is that we're going to be adding some viral stock footage, perhaps to the speed radier. So I'm going to show
you exactly how to do this in just the next
lesson of the squares.
15. Edit B-Roll for Dynamic Videos: Welcome to this third video
installment in CAPTA. Now, as I mentioned in the
end of the previous lesson, in this lesson right here, I'm going to show you
how to add viral and how to add other visual elements
to enrich your ARL. We just finished editing in the previous lesson
of the scores. So without any further ado, let's dive again in our project, and let's actually preview
the Arol that we created. So I can zoom in, as
you can see here. To the April or I can
click on 1 second, right here to zoom
the thumbnails. So right now I'm zooming in the thumbnails of the time
frame of the timeline, and you can see
that if I zoom out, you can see we have 4
minutes, 3.5 minutes. But as I zoom in, you
can see that we're just magnifying our timeline
to the second mark. Now, how do I add l. The point of adding vil is to have the audio of
your A rol playing. So we're not changing
the audio stimuli. We're changing the visual
stimuli of the video. So we're going to have
our audio playing, and we're just going
to be replacing like myself from the symmetry here with other videos that obviously match
what I'm describing. So let's click on Plate and let's listen to what I'm saying. Hey, are you looking for
a reliable side hustle? So what I said is that, are you looking for a
reliable side hustle? This probably means that, in this case, I could add, for example, someone
counting money because that's like a common
denominator of sign hustles. So I'm going to do this. What we're going to
be doing is I'm going to be right clicking on our clip and clicking on
Extract Audio, right? So once I click
on Extract Audio, you can see that the time
the timeline extends and below our video stimuli,
we have our audio. So this is the audio right
here. And what we can do here is that we can
actually go ahead and tweak the video stimuli without tweaking
the audio, right? So I can trim the video
without trimming the audio. That's the first step here. The second step is
for us to go to elements and click on money. We just type money. We go to videos, and you can see that we have counting
money, for example. This could be actually
a good video. What we're going to do
is click on Ad page. Go back in elements,
and I'm going to click on perhaps this video
right here is better. Click on this video, right? Right, click Set
video as background, and you will see that
it just automatically corrects its aspect
ratio and how the video, like the resolution
of the video to match with the short form
condo the virus, right? So what's the next step here? Obviously, this
video is 40 seconds, but we just want
our viral to play for about a second. So there
are two ways to do this. The first way is to drag
and drop it right here. And you can see that again, now I have the first A roll
of mine and now the viral. So I just want to
replace pretty much like the visual of this video. So what I'm going to
do is that I know that the audio and I can zoom in the timeline a
bit for you to see. I know that the
audio stops here. So this is exactly where
I want my video to stop. So what I'm going to do is that I'm going to click exactly where the audio stops and go
ahead and at this point, split page, right, and delete
this video right here. So now what I've done
is that I've, again, detached the audio
from my Arol and replaced the Arol with this small video of
money being counted. So let's go ahead and actually
preview it. Good play. Hey, are you looking for a reliable side hustle
but overwhelmed? So do you see that where
I said side hustle, I replaced, again the
image with money, and you can keep on doing this
for the rest of the video. Let's see actually
what else I'm saying. By the usual business
models, like job shipping. Job shipping, for
example, it would be a good option to replace
me saying drop shipping. Is like drop So I go exactly where I start
saying drop shipping, which is here, right,
click Extract Audio. I know that right here,
I say drop shipping. So immediately without
losing the spin, I go ahead, click on, right
click split page. And let's click
Play to see where I stop saying drop shipping and
where my rules should end. Drop shipping. Okay,
so right here, I stopped saying drop shipping. So again, I can click on
Split Page and delete this. So right now, I know
that one sec, one sec. So I know that right here,
this needs to be replaced. This small video rate here
needs to be replaced. So what I go is that I type
on elements, drop shipping. Okay, and I go to videos. This could be, for example,
a drop shipping video that I could use or this video
rate here, 18 seconds. So let's go ahead and sorry, let's click on New page, add this video, right click
Set videos background, right? And now I can just replace
this clip of mine, right, with this, how
I'm going to do this. I'm going to delete
this, and you can see that this video now, which is the final video of our time frame moved because I replaced it
with the other one. I drag and drop this
right here, right? And I blindly, for example, will just split the page
here and delete this. Now, you can see that
I was lucky enough, and it actually
should be synced. So let's actually go
ahead and click on plate. Drop shifting in
agencies. Yeah, exactly. So this is how I replaced, just another part of this video. Now, you can do other stuff
and you can actually add way more things rather than
just adding some virals, you can go to text, for example, and add a heading to
your video, right? So you can add a
heading right here, you can click on the
heading and write new side hustle idea, right? You can click on this
and go ahead and edit the title exactly as we
did in the images, right? So in the image part of this
yeah, of this tutorial. We can go ahead and copy this. For example, we can paste right here again with
Command C, Command V, Command C to copy command V to paste in
every clip of ours, command Video paste here, command Video paste here, right? So again, here, we
can also paste this. I pasted it two times here. So this is how we just added a title into every
single clip of ours. And if I click on plate, you
can see that we have this. Are you looking for a
reliable side hustle but overwhelmed by
the And of course, we can also keep on adding
sounds and that type of stuff. So for example, if
you go to audio, Okay, we can find audio, but let's say we can
click on relaxing, we have all of these different
sounds now that we can add to just enrich
our video further on. Now, regarding video, we
honestly barely scratch the surface because there
is huge creative potential with creating videos in Canada. I just wanted to introduce you
to the different tools and the different editing
principles that you can have in your mind
in order to again, at the end of the
day convey all of the ideas and all the information
you have in your mind. Projects through Canva. Now, I'm not going to
go into too much detail into how to perfect your titles or how to perfect your videos. I just again, wanted to show you some basic video editing
principles so you can have them. You're going to load
these datasets, and you can just use them as foundation to grow as
an editor in Canva. Now, this concludes our video editing
module in this program. And the next module
we're going to be analyzing is
presentation creation. And actually creating
presentations in Canva is one of also the key reasons why you
would use this software. Course creator myself, I created countless
presentations both in PowerPoint and Canva
and other software online, and I can guarantee
you that Canva is the one way destination
for me, again, after creating all
of these different presentations for
all of my courses, and I 100% just only use Canva. So I'm going to show you how
to utilize a p of Canva for presentation creation in the
next module of the scores.
17. Generate Presentation Content with AI: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the final lesson of the
presentation module, the second lesson of the
presentation module of Canva, in which I'm going to show you exactly how to source
the content of your PowerPoint
slides from HAGBD and then import it to
Canva automatically. This way, you will
be able to mass produce presentations
in Canva without needing to type down original
content or even to copy content from HA JBT and then keep pasting it to
Canva every time, which just induces a big amount of friction without you know, a point because this all
can be done organically with exporting it
to CBS documents which we're going to be analyzing in this
lesson right here. So more information about
this in just a second. So the first step into creating a PowerPoint presentation in less than 5 minutes
is to launch HATGPT. Now, in HAT GPT, we're going to first
outline our course. It is actually important to
outline our course in order to create PowerPoint slides
for each one of our lessons. So right here I
entered this prompt, which is I'm creating a course
around YouTube marketing. For example, please outline
a ten lesson module. JGBT obviously is going to
outline ten lesson module. So Lesson one, in dogs into YouTube as
a marketing platform. Lesson two, setting
up and optimizing your YouTube channel.
Lesson three. Content strategy and planning lesson for video production, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Now, we are going to be creating a point presentation on each
one of those bullet points. So, for example,
we're going to have a different lesson regarding the overview of
YouTube significance in the digital
marketing landscape, a point presentation on understanding the target
audience on YouTube, a partner presentation
on exploring success stories, case studies. If you will, again,
we don't have to follow the course
outline of GPT. We can obviously tweak this. But for the sake of
this tutorial here, let's actually create a
PowerPoint presentation on the overview of
YouTube significance in the digital
marketing landscape. So I want you to
go ahead and copy the first bullet point. Okay? So the first bullet point
of the first lesson that HAGPT suggested in
your curriculum, and go ahead and enter
this prompt right here. Say, summarize this
in 20 bullet points. Okay? And then you paste
the first bullet point that ChaGPT suggested you in the first lesson
of your course. So summarize this in
20 bullet points, overview of YouTube significance in the digital
marketing landscape. As you can see,
HGPD went ahead and created those 20 bullet
points right here that summarize exactly
the content that we want to have in the first
lesson of our course. Now, these lessons right here, these bullet points right here, as you can see,
they're a bit short. They can't actually create different 20 different
PowerPoint slides. So this is why I
went ahead and asked GBT to elaborate more in each
one of those bullet points. So he said, of course, here's a more
detailed elaboration for each of those
20 bullet points. So we have bullet
point number one. YouTube is immense impact in digital marketing,
and it says, YouTube stands as a
dominant platform in the digital marketing
landscape due to its vast user base
and influence. Okay, so these ladies and gentlemen are all
of the content. Okay? This is the content
that we're going to have in our Part slides. So we're going to do here
is actually copy all of those bullet points that
CHPD has created and open our second tool
that we're going to be using outside of the
artificial intelligence spectrum. Okay. And this tool
we're going to be using is Google Spreadsheets. Okay? So here we have
a new spreadsheet, and keep in mind that
I have absolutely no idea on how to use
Google Spreadsheets. I am a complete beginner, but this is just so easy to do. You go in the first
column right here, you press right click
Paste special values only. And as you can see, all of
the data that we have from HAGPT have been successfully transferred in this
Google spreadsheet. Now, what is the next step? We go here, file, okay, download and comma
separated values. So we download the comma
separated values that we pasted in this
Google spreadsheet. And this ladies gentlemen
is everything that we need to do inside of
Google spreadsheet. We have this download file, and we move to the third
and final program, free, completely free
program that we're going to be using to create
our PowerPoint presentations. And no this is not
going to be PowerPoint. This is going to be Canva. Now keep in mind that Canva is a completely free tool that you can use for many
different cases. Online, you can
create thumbnails. You can create posters, you can create sales pages. Okay, and you can create PowerPoint
presentations in Canva. So what we're going
to do now is open just a simple PowerPoint presentation blueprint
out of Canva. And as you can see, we just have this basic text right here. So what we're going to
do is we're going to delete this text and
write, for example, let's say, example in the
middle of our page right here. Okay, so we have this example part in the middle of our page. Now, what we're going
to do is that go down here to bulk and create, okay, and upload CSV. So we click on Upload CSV, our downloads folder opens, and we're just going to download and open our comma
separated values. So we open the comma
separated values, we download it right here, and then we press on this
text box right here more. Okay, connect data, and
you can see that you can find data that we just
connected and bulk right here. So we press on this right here. Okay, now we have
this check, continue. And we got all of those
different slides. Let's uncheck the boxes that
have nothing, next to them. So five, eight, for example, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29. Let me just uncheck
all of those slides. We don't want them
to be generated because they're just
going to be empty. Okay? So once I uncheck all these, create 39 pages and a new Again, Window is going to pop up with our complete presentation,
ladies and gentlemen. So this is the slides, okay, the presentation that
we just created by completely importing
20 prompts out of JAGPT the information
that we got from hachPT through
Google Spreadsheets in our Canva presentation. Now, from here, you can
do many different things. We can change. Okay, we can delete the bullet points. We
can make them bold. But again, we have completely transferred information from artificial intelligence programs
from JGBT inside Canva.
18. Thank you message!: Bras here, and I would
like to thank you for watching this
course throughout. Now, as a small side note, most of the stock
footage that was sourced for the introductory
video of the course, as well as every graphic
design element that you saw was created in Canvas as well as the thumbnail of the scores. Now, I'm very grateful of you sticking up until the
end of the course. Again, you belong in a
very small percentage of people that watched again
the course throughout, and I'm very, very
happy for you. If you enjoyed these lessons and you like me as
your instructor, I urge you to leave
a good review it would really help me out and perhaps check out the
rest of my courses in my profile here. So thank you very much, and I'm going to see
you in the next course.
