1. 01 Introduction: Thank you for taking this class. In this class, I will teach you how to make snicker doodles. First, I will teach you how to make the cookie dough. Next, I will teach you how to form the cookies and wrote them in the sugar cinnamon mixture. Then I will teach you how to bake and cool the cookies. I'm a self-taught Baker, and many years ago I decided I wanted to make cakes for other people, special occasions. I took some classes that a lot of books, watched a lot of foods, and end-of-course did a lot of practice until I felt like my cake decorators skills were at the levels that I could sell cakes to me. I hadn't opened up my own homepage. I had this business for several years until my husband got a job offer across the country. We felt like this was a good move for us and so I closed my bakery down and we moved across the country to New York City. Now here in New York City, I do not want to open up my own home, but I still love. And so I decided to share my skills with you on. This class has ended the baker that would like to learn how to make a classic and yet favorite. I'm excited to teach you the skills in this class. Let's move on to lesson number one, making the batter. 2. 02 The Cookie Dough: We're ready to start making the cookie dough. Let me show you how we do this. In my bowl. I'm going to put my battery and my sugar. And I'm going to beat this until it's creamy. Didn't take a couple of minutes for that button. Pressed down. Slower speeds because right now the sugar and butter very separate. I can speed it up. Now. That is totally blended. Now, our a and our vanilla. And we're going to mix them first a little bit small so we get that. We want to get that next to combine the cream of tartar, the baking soda in the flower. What I'm gonna do is I'm going to dump the baking soda and the cream of tartar in there and then sprinkle like the half cup of flour and mix that up. I don't want that flower to go all over the place. The flowers somewhat mixed up. Now on this thing, I'm going to keep going, speed that up. I'm going to turn that off. The salt. Scrape it down. There you have the cookie dough. We're now ready to make our cookies. In our next lesson, I will show you how to form the cookies and get them ready for. 3. 03 Forming The Cookies: We're ready to start forming our cookies and then making them. These cookies are rolled in a mixture that is two tablespoons of sugar and one teaspoon of cinnamon. Once we haven't measured out, we just want to mix it together. So let's well blended. We're ready to form our cookies and then bake them. We have our cookie dough are sugars, sentiment mixture, and our baking sheets. I just want to take a small spoonful and I want it to be about the size of a walnut. And I want to roll it in a bowl like that. Rolling in the cinnamon sugar cookie sheet. Now the size of the ball really depends on you, but you do want to try to make them the same size. So if you want beer, you got to make bigger balls. If you want small cookies, you're going to make smaller balls. I'm going to keep doing this until I have my cookie sheet filled with cookies. Nan, I'll show you what we do. I have my pan full of cookies. You want to space them at least two inches apart and I'm just going to slightly push them down. Not rational, all the way flat and just slightly pushing down. There is still some thickness. I'm now going to stick this cookie sheet in the oven and bake it for about ten minutes. I'd like my cookies to be a little bit soft. So what it says, ten to 12 minutes. I like to air on the lesser side. While this batch is baking, I will get this cookie sheet ready to go in. This is going to go the middle of the oven. So the rock is in the middle position for about ten minutes. The first batch of cookies in the oven. So now I'm getting my second pen ready. We'll be back when all of the cookies have baked. 4. 04 Baking And Cooling: It's been nine minutes. And I just looked at the cookies and they are looking great. So we're going to go ahead and take them out. Here. I look again. We're just going to very carefully take them off the cookie sheets and put them on the colon so that they can completely cool. They're really soft right now. So you do have to be careful. So you don't break them. I'm going to allow my next batch complete the call and then we'll be done. That is how easy it is to make a delicious all-time favorite snicker doodles. 5. 05 Final Thoughts: Thank you for taking this class. We had fun making our snicker doodle cookies. You learned how to make the cookie dough with the domain. We then form the dough into little balls and wrote them into a sugar cinnamon mixture. We then place them on the cookie sheet, flatten them just a tiny bit. We then bake them in the oven and then put them on the coin back to cool. The recipe for this class is in the project section. I hope your cookies turned out the way you wanted them to. Please take a picture of your cookies and post them in the project section and tell us how it went. I look forward to hearing from my kitchen to your kitchen half the day.
