About This Class
Hello everyone, I’m glad you could join me for this short special class dedicated to the very famous eggless, lactose free Lebanese yellow cakes, otherwise known as sfouf.
If you have watched my course on Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine you would have notice that I have already made a lesson about a variation of sfouf with different ingredients. This here is the original version.
I’ve decided to publish this recipe in a separate class not only because it’s my favorite dessert, but especially because it works so well for anyone who has food allergies or intolerance.
This recipe does not contain in deed any eggs, milk or nuts. And if u want to turn it into a vegan dessert, all you have to do is substitute the butter that we will use to grease the baking tray, with oil or simply use baking sheet.
So stay tuned for this extremely simple, fast and very tasty dessert.
Meet Your Teacher
Simon is an attorney-at-law with a Master of Law in Private and Business Law (Banking and Capital Markets) from Saint Joseph University at the end of which he submitted a thesis relating to the international competence of the Lebanese courts in bankruptcy issues. Simon has more than 16 years' experience in Civil and Business law in general and more specifically in corporate law and contracts law.
Simon completed as well a bachelor degree in industrial psychology.
However, his true passion lies in the kitchen as a home cook, where he has gathered through the years lots and lots of traditional Lebanese family recipes and gained precious experience and knowledge in the culinary arts and especially in Lebanese, Levantine and Middle Eastern cuisine.

As a class project I propose that you go ahead and prepare this dessert by following the recipe as shown in the lesson.
Post your videos or pictures so that everyone can see your creations and give you feed back and share with us your impressions about this recipe.
And if u have any new ideas, any additions, any substitutions I would really love to hear and try them.
