About This Class

What is Revit?

Revit is Building information modeling (BIM)software which helps with architecture, engineering, and construction teams to create high-quality buildings and infrastructure.

BIM is the foundation of digital transformation. In Revit you can create 3D Model to use with both architecture and structural designs. Further, you have the Data instead of the vectors and also Revit is Synchronized. Moreover you can detect Clashes and finally you have the Federated Models.

This entire course of Revit architecture consists of 3 sub-courses: beginner, intermediate and advanced level. This is the beginner-level Revit course. Revit is a very advanced software where you can design your model in 3D and render it through other rendering platforms like Lumion, D5 render, Twinmotion and Enscape. Because of this complexity, I have divided Revit’s entire course into beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

By subscribing to this course, you will learn the essential Revit functions of grids, elevations, system families like walls, floors and hosted families like doors and windows. Further, this course will address creating ceilings, roofs, sections, 3D views, annotations etc. finally, this course will guide you to do a simple house design from scratch.

Stay tuned for the intermediate course; it will be up really soon.

1. Introduction: Hi everybody. My name is Christian. I'm a civil engineer, team specialists and it's really de-select. I'm an expert in Vim related softwares and 3D rendering software. So what is forbid? Gravity is building information modelling software, which helps with architecture, engineering and construction teams to create high-quality building and infrastructure. Bill is the foundation of digital transformation. In Revit, you can create 3D model to use with both architecture and structure. Who have the data instead of vectors. Remedy is synchronized. You can detect clashes. And finally, we'll have the Federated Models. This entire course of Revit Architecture consists of three sub causes, beginner, intermediate, and advanced level. This is a beginner level of EBIT course. Brevity is very end. There. You can design your model in 3D. And when they threw other 200 homes, because of this complexity, I have divided rabbit entire course into beginner, intermediate and advanced with it. So I welcome you to this beginner level rugged coast. Let's dive into this course. You will learn the basic functions of great innovation system families like clothes and families like DOS, Windows. Further, this course will address creating ceilings, section, treaty, these annotations and etc. Finally, this course will guide you to do a simple house designed from scratch. So I welcome you to this rabbit pig. And of course, stay tuned to the intermediate course. It will be up really soon. Please feel free to contact me to have any problems. 2. Launch Screen: Hello everybody. I welcome you to this rabbit course. This is actually the beginning of course of the robot. Actually there will be another two. Rabbit causes intermediate and advanced level. Why I have divided this rabbit goes into three sections. Because you know, the rabbit is really big software. I mean, then knowledge you have to learn in, in, in the rabbit is humongous. So if I do it in one course, it will be really headache to you as well. I mean, when you are moving into the final section of the rabbit timing, you might forget the fundamental of their week because of course contain. So that's why I have divided into three segments. Intermediate, beginner, intermediate and advanced level. In this beginner level course will cover lessons more than, I think, approximately more than 40 lessons. So this will guide you to intermediate course. Actually, I will teach you how to do simple house design from the intermediate course, actually follow the beginner course and the intermediate course, you will be able to parole rabbit timing up to intermediate and whichever the industry standard because you know, following these courses will be, and once you are knowledge about reveal textually. And gravity is actually from the Autodesk. You know, I mean, most of the people in construction industry, they know about Autodesk. Autodesk has hero product called Auto CAD. Now it's in the declining process. I mean, it's in the declining stage. They have introduced rabbit. I mean, they have overcome all the disadvantages in the, okay. They have introduced new features in Revit such as 3D designing. And you can save time humongously if you are using Revit. I mean, if you have use AutoCad in your life is fill, this course will be really, I mean, this beginner level courses really easy to understand. So without telling about the rabbit tan, those softwares about Autodesk, I will go to the first lesson. This lesson will be this login screen. Actually. So you have here models. It's called the project area. That means you can open a new project and you can open a previous project and you can open a new project from here. And here you have a family's area. Families are the fundamentals are the building blocks of the rabbit. If you take a walling rabbit, it's a family, it's a system family. If you take a DAU in, Revit, It's a hosted family. Likewise, they have loadable families, system families, hosted families. So such a thing exist in rabbit, and those are the building blocks of the rabbit. As I mentioned you earlier, because without them, you cannot work in the web. It you have to use them, you need to use them. And again, these are the options. You can open a family from a third party over n from the existing one and you can open a new one from here. Again, if you go to here, you will be having Autodesk dogs. I mean, most of the beam. That means building information modelling software, one of the leading software in the building information modeling technology. Now Autodesk, BIM 36360, collaborate, collaborate Pro and beam 360 bill. Such a things exist in the market. So one of the online Cloud bad for me. So today's Docs, you can save your documents here in our today's cloud. So then one of the people from anywhere else can open them. If you if you have access the access to the construction cloud, then he can work on the same model. So this is enabling, unable. This will enable if you have j. So if you have subscribed to Autodesk dogs. And here you have another poll. What's new online help community forum, customer support. Those things I existed. I mean, don't worry about it. This version is ready 2023, maybe in 202-018-2019. They are, the launch area will be a little bit different than this one, but, you know, most of the functions are similar. There are some changes in 2023 version only exist, and there will be no such a feature exist in the previous version. So don't worry about that. I mean the fundamentals of the rivet is same. So again, if you just go to here, you will be having this model, previous model. I have a bit. So you can open them here. And if you have worked with the families, just remember that you can create a new family inside the website. So if you have created, you can open them from here. And again, here, if you just go to the main menu or Home button, you can call it. If we just press this one, this is the rabbit drawing area. As you can see, this is the ribbon area. In next video we'll address about the ribbon area. And you can see this top area is that is the quick access toolbar. And you can change that to here when it plays and not worry about that one. In next video, we'll just discuss about the Quick Access Toolbar and the ribbon toolbar. Here. If you just go to the file here and here you have some functions. Typically, you will get familiar with these File menu here. Here you have the project. That means a create Revit project files. Here you can create a new family. If you want to create a new family, you have to go here. And conceptual mass. And conceptual mass means you can do 3D modeling similar to the Sketch Up. Here you have the title block. That means you need to have a title block before you are submitting to the consultant, know the client. So you can edit from titled box. And here you have the annotation symbols. And not worry about those things are now. And here you have the open, you can open a Cloud model, you can open Revit project model, and you can open a family model. And you can open a rabbit file type here, building component and the IFC means Industry Foundation Classes. That means if you are familiar with beam, if you are, if you have worked with beam, you might be able to know about these IFC. Because IFC is Autodesk BIM related. Accompany the IFC can IFC file type can open. Ifc can combine most of the, you know, if you take like cost X, if you get, if you take Navisworks, if you take wherever it, if you take AutoCad, such as software, data, you can collect it from one particular software, maybe beam 360 or some other softwares. And then you can produce IFC that containing all the other software data as well. So this is IFC file type. And here if you just go to here, we have sample files here. And typically you have saved, save as functions. I'm not talking about these things. And here you have the print option. And here you have options. If you just go to the option here. This notification, I mean, in general, you have to remember these things because you don't have an autosave functioning web it. Maybe if you are, modelling is getting complex, you need to save at least by 15 or 10 min time. Otherwise, who knows, there might be a crash because of your performance of your computer or it might crash. So in order to avoid that, you need to have at least 15, 0, 10 min interval. Do autosave the rabbit model. In next video, we'll just talk about how the ribbon menu works. 3. The Ribbon Menu: In today's video, we'll talk about the ribbon menu. In order to describe about the ribbon menu, I'll just start a new model here. If you just go to the num here and here, the Imperial means UK unit system, that means pounds and you know, Pete, inches. Those things are related to the UK unit system. If you take metrics system, that means USA's System, America system, you can have kilometers and kilograms. And those things are related to the metric system. Usually I'm familiar with the metric system. It's up to you actually, if you are from the European countries, you can go with the imperial template. And since I'm using lots of metric units, I'll go with the metric unit. Just remember you have two templates, Architectural Template and the construction template. Because of this is really targeted checkers. I'll just take Metric Architectural Template and I'll just click this okay button. Once you have selected that one, you will be opening the rabbit default view. And you can see this is the drawing area of the rabbit. And here you have the properties. You have the Project Browser, and here you have the ribbon menu. Actually ribbon menu is consisting of three segments. The first segment, see the menu tabs. If you just go to here, you can see this is, these are the menu tabs. Steal everything. And if you just again go to the architecture here and here you have the panels. And these panels containing tools. So e.g. if you just go to the wall here, can see these are the tools, e.g. again, if you just go to here, you have the structural column and the architectural color. So talking about the ribbon menu, here you have the architectural ribbon menu here. Can see Waldo, window component, columns, roof, ceiling, floor. These are typical segments if you are familiar with the construction industry. And here also you have shaft opening, wall opening, vertical opening and references planes. And those things. These reference planes also really important we'll discuss about in upcoming videos. We just go to the structure here you have the beam, you have the wall column flow all related to the structural. And here you have the process basis beam systems as well as foundations and you can have the green bars. So I'll be having Albi teach you how to do structural structural designs using Revit in separate course, not related to the architectural causes. So again, you have such a things and you have the grids as well. And if you if you just go to the steel here, you can have the steel bars. That means I section H6 and the contour shorten how to color. And the balls. And those things will be existing here. If you just score the precast here, you have the precast elements are to worry about these things. I'll just go through this menu tabs. Again, if you just go to system here, you can have the MEP related segments. You just go inside here you have the option to ability to linked with the auto CAD or maybe IFC file, maybe import PDF. And you can have, you can link with the topography and you can have the load families option. These are really important. And if you just go to annotate here, are related to the dimension, dimension style. Several dimension style exist here. And here you can have symbols and you can tag by categories. Those things will be x exist in here. And if you just go to the analyze here, not worry about analyzing here at this moment. I'll just go the marching inside. And here you have the topography, you have another really good example. I mean, really good option in varied that you can create 3D objects from the masking effect. So these are the tools you can use a place massing. And again, if you just go to collaborate, I mean, I have told you that beam is really picking up in the construction industry currently. So Autodesk is one of the leading platforms in the beam industry. So you have the ability to collaborate with the cloud models from the rabbit. So these things are here. If you just click this one, if you haven't been pretty Six-Day account and then you can directly link URL with model to 360. And likewise, if you just go the Vive here, you have another options that means 3D view sections and the callout and you have elevations as well. We just go to the Manage here. You have material assigned because if you want to have a 3D rendering of your model, it's better to have, better to assign materials to your model. Again, if you just go add-ins here. So you have the collaboration with the Navisworks or maybe any other software has maybe 3D rendering software, satellite motion luteum d Phi. Well, if you have any direct link with the revenue, you will be displaying all links from here. Currently I only have the Navisworks connection with and here you have issues, not worry about that. Now. Here you have the modified that means similar to the home functioning, the AutoCad, if you are familiar with I mean, you have all the tools at your trim, card, copy, move, paint and joint and those things I exist in here. So again, if you just go to the architecture here and we have talked about the ribbon menu here. I'll just briefly talk about the quick access toolbar here you can see if you just press this button, you will be having those icons here if you want to remove that plan or maybe the print, I'll just pick this one so you can see the print button has been banished from here. Again, if you want to add this one, just print one, or you can customize the Quick Access Toolbar from here. And here you have another option called the show below the ribbon. So once you have clicked this one, this part will be really free and your Quick Access toolbar will be available on here. Usually I prefer. At the top, I'll just add that one. Again. There will be options to minimize the ribbon bar because you know, it takes some certain amount of spacing the Revit user space. So whatever. So the option is, you can just click this one. Once you have clicked this one, you can only see the very main branches of the ribbon bar, ribbon menu like this. If you just go to here, you will be having some sections like this. Again, panels and the tools will be available like this. And if you want to further minimize the ribbon bar, I mean, if you can just click this one and you will be having only the menu tabs like a scenario will be appearing here like this. It's really difficult, but, you know, if you just click this one, I mean, if you, once you have minimize this one, you will be having lots of spacing and drawing area. Usually when you are working with the complex projects who need additional space in the robbing area. That's why the rabbit has given this function. Again, if you just click this one, it will be disappear again like this. You have to click this one. And it will automatically appear like this. And once you have clicked this one, you will back to the normal, the one we have in the previous, previous, earliest mode. It will, the ribbon menu, whole ribbon menu will appear like this. 4. The Properties Palette : You have already covered about the ribbon menu and the launch area. So we'll just move into the Properties palette. So here you have the properties palette, e.g. if you want to duck properties, just click this bar area behind the properties here. If you just click this one, you can see the properties pallet. There'll be like a floating window now. You can place it ten, whatever the location you want. Or maybe if you want to place them in the top of here. You can see once you have placed these properties palette in the top area, we will be having this rectangular, very pale color area. That means remedy is ready to dock properties palette on this area if you just release your left mouse button now, your Properties palette will be located on the top, but it's really difficult. So I'll just remove it again. And if you want to place it on the right side, you just have to left-click and drag your Properties palette until there will be this kind of a rectangular shape. Once you have applied that one, I mean, once you have crop your Properties palette at that point, your Properties palette will be a dock onto the right side. Usually some people prefer to do and work like this. But my personal preferences and having Project Browser and the properties back-to-back coming on top of the properties tab will be the top and the project browser will be down. It's really easy. I mean, if you are using Revit really, really well, I mean, you might be familiar with that option and still you have the option to place it on the top or maybe right or whatever the location. I'll just click this one, drag this one. And if you just go to here and you can see you have another option, you can dock them to parallel to each other. And now the properties pallet here, and you have the project browser here. If you have a second monitor, you can place them. It may be the properties and the project browser on the second monitor. And you can work on, I mean, you can work entirely on this drawing area that's really useful. And again, if you just click this one and I'll just place this one like this, you will be having similar minute to like the previous without doing anything I'm in the initial view will just go to the initial view like this. And I'll just from this arrow, I'll just make it smaller. It's really easy now. So I think the properties palette, you might know how to talk properties palette. And if you, if you know about the properties pallet keyboard, I mean, it's pee, pee in your keyboard. Just press pp in your keyboard to activate the properties pallet. Or if you want to deviate, e.g. I'll just press now PPE in my keyboard. Now my property palette has been gone. So in order to access the properties palette again, if we just press P, P again, it will be appear like this. And again, if you have another option called right-click, and you can have this properties. If you just press this one, it will be gone again. That means if you want to appear it again, just click these properties and you will be having these properties. Again. Again, there's another option as a third option, if you just delete, I mean, if you just cancel the property bar here, and if you just go to the View here, and you have the user interface, you have the project browser. This is tick. That means it's appearing on my drawing area right beside the growing area. So if you want to do CBA, just click this one and this will be gone. And just remember the shortcut key will be the pee, pee in your keyboard. Just press the P button twice. Okay? So talking about the properties palette, usually e.g. if you just go the architecture and if I just press this button, you will be having two parameters in rabbit. The one nice instant parameters, and the second one is the edit type parameters. And what are the instant parameters? Instant parameters or if you just draw, I'll just draw a small rural area, not worry about that. We'll discuss in detail about these rural areas. I'll just press Modify button here. Just remember in rabbit, if you want to cancel the command, just press Escape or either you have to go to architecture, just press this Modify button here, then you will be back to the unedited more than means you are, you will be cancelling the command that, that has given by the robot. So just remember that one, the Modify and the escape button in your keyboard. Okay, I'll just press this button here. Once you have pressed this one, you can have, it says some details. These are the instant parameters. If you change anything related to this panel here, that means some parameters here it will only affect to the swollen limb. E.g. I'll just make another volume similar role. So both are same I mean, same old type. But you know, if you just press Escape again, if you just press this one, you have some constraint. You have the base constraint, you have the top constraint, you have the height of the wall. So these things are instant parameters. If we change anything related to hear, I mean, under this menu, it will only affect to this this fall on this, specifically this fall on me. Okay? It will not affect to this one. But the edit type parameters, if you just go the retail parameters. And here you have some, again, options and some details you need to change. You can change. I mean, if you change anything related to here, it will affect to the similar wall type. I mean, our two words are similar. Since I have changed this edit type parameters here, it will change to all the family. I mean, That means it will change to this wall as well as the spoon. So once you have editing type parameters, it will affect to the specific related to the Emilio that element. But if you change the instant parameters, it will only affect the selected, I mean, the ones you have selected one only. I hope you have found well in these properties palette. In upcoming videos, we'll just talk about more related to the incident parameters, a type parameters. So until then stay tuned. 5. The Project Browser: Talking about the project browser here. So toggling or you can change the project browser as a floating, similar to the properties here. Just drag from this area and you can float your project browser here. And similar to the properties you can place whatever the location. I mean, as you are preference, you can locate the project browser, maybe top, maybe right, maybe left. As per your requirement, you can place it for my I mean, for my preference, I'll use this area as craggy little bit. You know, you have two patients. Now, my project browser is at top. So not to worry about that from now. So again, if you want, if sometimes, I mean, you might cancel this close button here. If you have canceled this one, just close this one. I'll just show you. Now only the properties pallet will be exist. Just right-click one. You have to go to browsers here. And here you have the project browser. Just click this one and you can see you or predict browser. We'll be up here. And I'll just put my properties pallet tab because this is the default view of the rabbit, but I also prefer the same way actually. And again, there will be another method. If you just cancel the project browser, just go to the v. We're here, you have to use user interface. And here you have the project browser. And you can click antique that, this one. Just remember that as well as the properties. The project browser also really important because the Project Browser contain all the levels, all the ceiling plans, all the elevations, and the legends. If you have sheets, if you have families, if you are using 3D views. And those things will be accessed on the Project Browser menu. We do to that kind of a real importance of data containing in the project browser. The Project Browser is really important. Example, I'll just show you how to, you know, currently I'm in the floor plan level one. If you just go to the level two, you can have a level two if you have produce, if you have done completed your level two, I mean, you have to go at level two and you have the separate ceiling plans, elevations like this. So if you just call the level one, so if we just zoom out here, this is the north elevation, this is the east elevation, this is the south elevation, and this is the west elevation. Here. It shows really well if you want to check your model on the East section. So this is the way. And just remember if you, if you are using sections, if you're using a 3D, this 3D views, those things will be available on the project browser. So Project Browser is really important. 6. The Drawing Area: You have actually covered lots of thing in Revit interface. Now we have covered the properties and the project browser here. So there's another thing left in the entire area that is growing area. This is the drawing area actually, as you can see now currently I have created a wall to wall sexually. And from the Project Browser I have selected level one. And if I just click this level two, you can see there will be another level two. That means if you want to switch to level one, just click this one and level two will be there. Once you have selected from the Project Browser, it feels creator. A new window here, e.g. for the ceiling plans, I'll just click this level one here. We can see now the level one ceiling plan has been created. This is a separate window. Actually. Just remember, destroying area is really useful because if you just click this one and while you are click your mouse, left mouse button, you can drag it like this. And from that one, you can have another view of you, our model actually, and it's a view specific, calculate the terminal term of few specific, the definition of view specific case. If you have done anything, I mean, if you have done e.g. if you apply, some, don't worry about these things. These will be addressed in upcoming videos or lecture series. So I'll just click this one. I'll just put realistic. And if you just apply some settings to, maybe if you just apply some, you know, some dimensions that, that will be only exist on this. It will not happy on another level or another view. That is, you specify. So such a thing such as scenarios called the view specific example, if this is a second window. But just remember, if you have added another ball here. And the interpretability capability, because of the Revit software, you will be having it in every project. I mean, every project means you are specific project. It will be appear. I mean, if e.g. I'll just I'll just have another level here. And I'll just make it here. Now just close on, I'll minimize it a little bit like this. And I'll just zoom in. E.g. I'll just make another wall here. And you can see it has API on the level to as fair because, because of the rabbit has a interpretability capabilities. Because if you have use these kind of system family, so you are other levels, other views also updated accordingly because that's really easy. I mean, e.g. if you just take the auto CAD in, you have to do it manually. You have to create the level one, level two as well as elevation, which are really difficult and time-consuming process. But compared to the AutoCad, revit is much easier. I mean, this kind of 3D capabilities, these kind of interpretability things really mark the rabbit has a leadings of time. This BIM, building information, modelling, software, construction. Okay? So again, if you have, like if we just opened another yeast view, I just have this one here. And I'll just minimize, I mean, I'll just small small part of it and like this. So my I have three windows currently. If you just go to the View here and you have the option called a tidal waves. We just press this style the buttons. So once you have open a new window, I mean the tile view will not work. You have to make them under one, maybe level two, level one to have to make it to under the drawing area. Then you can click the tile area, tile beams. Once you have clicked the tidal waves, your model will be like you have open three windows, and now you are all three windows. It'll be open. E.g. I'll just open another window here. And if you just press again the Title VII, you have four leaves. Now, It's really easy once you are. I mean, if you can work like this, if we have a second monitor has been connected to your model, I mean your computer. So you can work like this. You can have the project browsers, Properties, palettes doing properties pallet to place on the second monitor. And you can have entire screen dedicated to these leaves. If you want to. Click back to the tab view, I mean the only one we will exist. If you just press this one, you will have that this display only. 7. 2D Navigation: Both 2D and 3D navigation is really useful. Then you are hovering on your project. So 2D navigation, we'll discuss in this video and the 3D navigation we'll discuss on the next video. So as you can see in your drawing area, in your drawing area right side, there's a small menu panel here, and it tastes a 2D. We'll actually, if you just click this one, can have this kind of a 2D wheel here. And here it says the pan. And in order to e.g. I'll just go to the level one here and I'll just cancel this. And this is one we have selected from the option in File menu. In every 15 min, it will appear like this. It will ask whether you want to save it or not. At the moment, I'll just cancel this one. Again. I'll just go to the 2D here. And here. Once you have clicked this one, this 2D navigation or wheel will be appear here. And if you just click this pan area, I mean this circular area, that means it's a color area. And you can see now I'm selecting it on my left mouse button and you can pan it. I mean, you can pan your model like this, okay? And here you have another option called Zoom. And if you just press this one, and if you just move your mouse inside and outside, likewise, it will be zoom in and zoom out. And you have the keyboard, keyboard shortcut for the zoo. For if you, e.g. if you need to have in your keyboard, I'll just press a on your keyboard. The mouse will be changed to like this. And if you just press this one and you can have this specific area and you can zoom like this. And you have another option zone. That is, is it a, that means Zoom malaria. We just press a button. It will zoom into the whole area. And again, if I just press a 2D peel here, you have another option called revised, similar to the Undo button here. See if you just press this one, you have the old options you have done until now. So you can scroll through like this and you can go to the place there, wherever you want. Then that you have these Neither button as zooming region, similar, which are similar thing we have done in a desert from the keyboard shortcut. If you just press this one and you can just press Escape. And I'll just press this one. You can see your mouse pointer has been changed into a zoom lens. And you can click anywhere. And you can zoom in. And you have a downside button. And it's called the Zoom out to Zoom To Fit, to mole to fit some sheet size. Likewise. So anything you can do it from here and here you have the cancel button here. If you want to cancel it. And again, if you want to appear on your drawing area, you just have to go to the View here and here, user interface, it's called the navigation bar. Just press this one and you are Zoom and truly navigation and above it will be API on here. 8. 3D Navigation: Previous video we have talked about 2D navigation. And in this video we'll just talk about 3D navigation. And currently I'm in the level one. That means I am in a 2D graphics graphical area. In order to go to 3D view, you just have to go to View here. In this menu tabs, you have to go to the View here and you just have to press this Home button. It's called the default 3D view. Just press this one and you can see this is the 3D view, what we have generated through the review. Here you have now see the difference between the 2D navigation and the 3D navigation. Here you have a 3D interface here. And here you have the home button. If you just go through in this area, I mean, I haven't just press Shift button in my keyboard and I just press mouse button together. So if you just press those buttons together, you can hover around the drawing area like this. And you are mouse. Pointer has been changed to the two-sided arrow like this. Okay? Again, if you just go here and if you just press this button home here, and you can see it will goes to the default 3D view here. And here you have the view cube. And in this view cube also you can rotate it if you just go to this blue ones who wore the near this circular area, we can rotate it like this. And you can press this. And again, if you want to go to the 3D, talk to you, just press this one. Now, it will be 3D, not like the 2D. And again, if you want to press the Home button and it will goes to the default 3D view here. Again, you have another angles as well. Here it's called. You can press this one and this one is fair. So likewise, you can go to here and the back, and the right side. And again, if you want to go back to the default, you just press this Home button here and it will goes back to the original location. Again, similar to the 2D navigation, we have a full navigation wheel here. Just press this button and you can see you have couple of more options rather than the 2D navigation. Here you have the obit button similar to the 2D navigation. And you can see the pivot point here. I'll show you how to change the pivot point in a project. And you have a Zoom button. To the navigation. You have to increase your mouse up and down like this. And you have the rewind option, and you have the pen option. You have the center button. And you can change the pivot point as per your requirement. Now I'll just take my pivot point here and you can OBD. Now, you will be orbiting around this pivot point. You have the option. In order to demonstrate Voc option, you have to create a walk through here. So you can see if we just go to the 3D view here, you will have a vote through option. I'll just press this one. From this one, I'll just pick a location from my project area like this. I'll just point, I'll just focus my camera on this direction. Now I will just press Escape in my mouse and keyboard. And you can see now in your project browser it will be created another walk-through option. I'll just press this walkthrough option. And you can see, now, if you just increase the area of the camera, can see this is the disease, my project area. And from here, I'll just go to the 3D navigation wheel here. And here. If you just press log button, you can see now you can walk like this. I'm just pressing my left mouse button. And if you just move ahead, we can walk through your model. And now I'm inside my project. And I'll just again go to the 3D default 3D view here. And truly navigation. And the locked means, it will be locked. And up down means if you just press this one, you can see you can move via 3D view like this. And again, similar to the 2D Zoom sheet size, there will be couple of options here, zooming region, zoom out. And I hope you find out really well about this 3D navigation because I'm using Revit will teach you how do you, how to utilize you upgrade the navigation. 9. Instance & Type Parameters : Previous video we have talked about in some parameters and the edit type parameters, e.g. for this kind of a wall here, you just press this plus this one. And you can see as per the you are family type being different from this instant parameters and the type parameters. Initially in the Properties menu, you will be having the name of the family. Here it says the basic wall. Just click this one and you can find many family types here. Exterior, interior and the generic calls answer and some other curtain walls as well. So here. Again, if you just press this one, can see these are the instant parameters. Here. You can change the instant parameters by clicking these funds, e.g. it says the top constraint on connected. I'll just take it, hear from them the level two. See now my level two, he has been adjusted like this. This is my level two. Again, if you just go to the 3D view here I can see my this ball type has been adjusted to the level two. I have changed that from the instant parameters. Again, if you want to have a top upset, if you want to have a base offset and the base constraint, those things can be changed from the instant parameters and there are some additional information. In upcoming videos we will discuss about these things. And if you just go to the Edit Type here, you can see the edit type parameters. Remember, I have told you about the edit type and the instant parameters difference. The difference is if you change the type parameters, it will affect all the element. I mean, if you have selected the basic wall, all the basic goals in your model has been changed because of this edit type parameters. But for that, can you add, you just have to go to the duplicate here. And I'll just make it maybe 300 year. I'll just press this one. Okay. It's in use, so I'll just make it at 150. Okay. So again, for this edit type parameters, you just have to go to edit here. And here it says the structure is 200 millimeter thick. I just have to make it 250 mi. I have changed the name to 150. Now. It has been changed to 150. Don't worry about these things. These are really, at this moment, you don't need that kind of a thing. Just remember those things will exist on the rubric. I'll just hide it and I'll just make it. Okay. And again, if you want to call scale fill color, you can have you can change the color of it. I mean, those things can be changed here. And I'll just press this okay button. Now you might see in that whoever your wall has been more thicker than the previous one because I have changed to two. Actually, I accidentally I have changed it 225. It should be 250. Again. If you want to chain this role-type 225, just drop-down menu, just go to here and 125, it will change. Okay, now can see the difference. I hope you have seen the difference. Now it says at 125 generate and several type of 225 v here. Just give a unique name while when you are changing it to the edit type parameters. So just remember, by clicking this edit type and you can duplicate it and you can create a new family. That's what we have done in the previous example. We have duplicate it. Duplicate it means they exist in a family. Dimension will be changed as per your requirement. That means it's a new family in varied. So I hope you remember any type parameters in some parameters and creating a new family in reading. 10. Revit Families: This video is really different than the other one. Because in this one we're not going to talk about rabbit committees because that's so much important. That's why I'm taking out a separate presentation on the rabbit panelists. If you just go to that a bit, families, what are the ready, Emily? Everything we use in diabetes-related to a family. That means every element we have used, maybe one or maybe two, or any other light victim. Holdings are related to the Arabic families. Locked building blocks of the rabbit is a family. It's really important to learn about this rabbit family. And also you can say as a group of elements with a common set of properties, parameters related to the graphical presentation. We'll just move on to the next slide. This rabbit family tree for you can divide them into three. I'm going to type this type build the system family. And this isn't task will be the loadable component. Edwin need in place families. The lower demo compounds, families. Who needed a system, families you can subdivided into instant parameters and the type parameter. So I think we have already learned about this in some parameters and the type parameters. Again, we will just go to the gym families. What are the system family? The basic element that would find on a construction period. So if you just go to a construction project, this wall, nearly close pipes, ducts. And those things will be a basic elements. That means basically you can find these things and they are predefined components in the rabbit platform. And the same. This can not be created. All these cannot be deleted using Verbit, using the purchase. Remember that the system family is a permanent part of private, so you cannot delete it or you can create system family can be duplicated and modifying. So I think we have already covered that section. So you can just go to the Edit Type and you can create a new or who maybe you can change the parameters, maybe from instant parameters and create a new one. Go to the loadable component families, also known as the standard compound families. So usually it will be Dos, Windows, furnitures, water heaters, plumbing, picture, except crop. These Emily's can be saved as a RFP five, what are the RFP files are occupied with Tammy parents. So if we are talking about the first lesson, we have already talked about how to save rabbit piles so that you can, you might be able to remember that we have a rabbit family saving type. That's fine. If you just go to the in-place families, those are really unique based on the project. So it's created based on the specific project requirements. So almost similar to the component or the loadable families. And these families cannot be saved as external RFP files and file dealing with the complex and the unique design scenarios we need in place families. You can see these families we are creating for this specific project. So e.g. we can create a new family. It's a really hard process, but we can still do that with families can be further subdivided as annotation families and the hostage families and butter. The annotation families, support of both system and loadable families. And it has leveled types, level means, elevation types, and the dimension style be created or deleted. It's part of private, so you cannot be created or deleted. And you can save these files as RFA file. The hostage families, e.g. I'll start with example. A light picture. You can picture on a wall or maybe ceiling. For a family, you need a host element that can pick up and hold. Provide structure for the model elements. Basic example, this light fixture and the loadable families can be hosted on a system permanent. Okay. Here we have the loadable families that mean DOS, Windows, furniture. You can fix it on the system family. That means when a flow on a ceiling like we can hosted them. So these are the basic knowledge. So it's better to roam around and lead to more. So just remember that rapid families are really important and while you are working with, so just a thorough or turn it on the rabbit, Emily. 11. Levels: This video, we'll just talk about how the levels are utilizing your model and what will be the, the method to change your level and what is the level? And those things will be addressing this video. We just go through, I'm currently in the program level one. We just call the East view here. You can see rabbit has been given a two levels. Initially, by default they will give two levels, level one and level two. Here the level two means or 4,000 mm, that means 4 m height from the level zero. And here we can define a new level. So in order to define a new level, you just have to go to architecture here. And here you have the name of lever. And the keyboard shortcut will be the LL. And again, if you just press LL here, you can create a new level. Again if you just go to the architecture and level here, once you have clicked this one, the sketch mode will be appearing like this and you can see the screen area and you have the modify, the tools. So that's the indication of private given by that you are in landscape mode. So if you just go to your elevation here because you have to place your levels in elevation mode. Otherwise you cannot enter your levels in 3D mode low anything. So again, if you just go to here, because now my, they are, they are they are is a wall that is unconnected, but I want to adjust that unconnected height as my level three. Once you have clicked this level button, it will appear this temporary dimension and the modal lines. And here you call alignment lines, these blue color dotted lines called alignment line. Don't worry about these things or these things will be addressing upcoming videos. Again, I'll just press this one and you can see it has given the part of the liver. And now I'll be stopping here because, you know, there will be a dotted dashed line here. That means if I just press this one and again, it will be aligned to the previous ones. The advantage of having aligned to the previous one. Nice. If you just click this one, and if you just click this circular button here, and all levels will be adjusted because it's in a line. You have assigned a new level. I can change it to a new name. From here. I'll make it roof level. It will give this message. Press yes. Now it says a row flavor and how to change the height of the level. Now, currently it says 04,000.808 thousand, that means four meter and it will depart from the level two, that is 8,000 NetBeans eight meter, four meter apart from the liver. To the one way is if you just go around your liver, you can see this. Your mouse pointer has been changed to this icon here. Press this level here. And while you are pressing left by left mouse button, just move your cursor up or down. That means it will change the height of the level. Like this. Again, another method, this, if you just press this one and you can adjust it to 8,000. And it will goes up to here, okay? And the third base from the instant parameters can change it to maybe 9,000. This. And it will change it tonight. I'll make it back to the 8,000 here center and it will automatically adjust to here. You can see there is, there is another bubble or Tick button here. That means if you just press this one, it will appear this bubble in here as fan. I mean, in a deep by default, it will give only one bubble here. That means only here. But if you just press this tick here, it will appear on this side SVM, okay? And just remember this circular pattern. If you just press this one from this one, you can change your vitamin D level here. And again, you will have, if you just click this one, there will be. Another trick is that if you just untick this one, make it to this point, and just untick this one. But think, by now you have a congested or maybe if I just change the scale tool, maybe one to 200. So now you are all the levels. I'll change it to one to 500. Now you can see all are jammed and you cannot see the each level. So there will be too much. I'll go to the go to the 200. Yeah. So there will be a method that you can identify the level and you can see if we just zoom in, you can see this button. It says add elbow. If you just press this one, you are level will be having an elbow like this. And you can click this button and dragging up or down. You can change it like this. Okay? Here you have the padlock. And if you just click this one and you will be it will not relate it to other levels. It will only related to this one only. And I'll just click this one. This, you can change it to anywhere, any position. This elbow. This levels will be really useful. Then you having multiple number of flows here. I mean, you can have a level up to whatever the flow numbers you have. Or maybe if you are plinth level, if you adore level for your window level, those things, you can apply the levels. 12. Views & Levels Relationship : Previous video we have learned about how to assign a new level and how to chain the level and how to change the height of the level. And we are, we have added elbows to a specific level. And in this video we'll talk about how the relationship between the levels and the flu plans are made of. So again, if you just go to the architecture and the level, or maybe if you can press ALL IN your keyboard, I'll make this. There's another level from here. And just notice how now you will assign a new level. It's called label of phi. Notice that once you have assigned level five, it will automatically display in your Flow Plan as level of five, right? But you know, I'll just delete this one. And this some levels. I mean, in previous videos we have discussed that you don't need to have a plan view, then you are assigning a new level for that. If we just click this one, I'll just make it delete. And again, I'll just press ALL IN your keyboard. Once you have clicked that one, you can see it says to make a plan view, that means if you just untick this one, will not get them plan B for this one. Okay. Now you can see level Fix has been assigned, but there's no sign-up level six here. Because we have untick that plan view here. From this plan view tick, you can assign a liver. It's related, related to the Pro plan. Okay, remember this short trick? And again, if you just click this level one here, you can see the instant parameters. In here. It tastes a story about the computational height. And we just call the level one here. You can see the instant parameters, level one here. And if you just notice here, you have a certain instant parameters here. If you just scroll down here, you can say is associate level, that means Level one. That means you are level one. That means the elevation is assigned to the level one. And here you can change the view range here, just click this one. And now you can see the rabbit has done to create this level. That means it has cut through your model from in this level one. That's how they have generated level one here. Again, increase your score. The level two here, again for the view range. And you can see the associate level will be the level two. That means every task card through they will to, to generate two or level number two. Likewise, that's how the relationship relationship between the levels and the floor plans have generated. 13. Reference Planes: Talk about another really important at all in architecture, ribbon panel that is called the reference plane. And the keyboard shortcut for the reference plane will be the RP. If you just press this one, you have two distinct you users for a reference plane in webby. The first one will be the you can use them the reference, reference plane as a construction guidelines. I mean, you can basically use CMS guidelines. And the second one will be the, you can control the geometry in Ruby, e.g. if you're using a proof by extrusion, don't worry about the name. It will be a separate video roof by extrusion. So those things, you will need this reference plane. Just now, I'll just brief you about the reference plane. And in, while progressing towards our course, we will do a practical example in roof by extrusion. We video. For now, just briefly know about the reference plane. Now I have created click reference plane. Just click this one. Now you can see your mouse has been progressing. And while you're doing that, you are. Reference plane has been created for gain. If you want to have another reference plane, just click this one. Here. You can have another reference plane. So these things can be really useful because you know, if you want to have have them has a guideline. E.g. now you want the wall to create until the reference plane. So this is the guideline. I mean, usually for an architect or a draft person. So usually they use guidelines. They are just sketch initially. So just think about that, the reference plane. So again, talking about the second use, the most useful one is as full roof by extrusion method. For I'll just briefly explain you about the what is roof by extrusion. If you want to have a curved shape, if you want to have a different type of a roof, then you have to go with the roof by extrusion. You have that option. When you are doing roof by extrusion, it will ask whether so we just click this one. I mean, you can see this is a curved roof. So I'll just again go to here. So again, when you are doing that one, they will last what will be the starting point? So your reference plane will be the starting point and you have to give a name. Just remember that one. We just click this one. You can name it from here. I'll just give it start here. And I'll just give it here. So it's better to always have to give the names to the reference plane. Otherwise, it will be really, I mean, with the complexity of the project, it will be more reference point then you might able not to identify the reference plane. E.g. if you just go to roof by extrusion here, I'll just briefly show you the usefulness of the reference plane. Just click this name here. Now you have the two reference point. We have a reference planes we have created. We will start from here. And you can click, Okay, and by that you can progress. You are ruled by extrusion. I will not do the example at this moment that we'll be addressing the proof by extrusion video. So that is the usefulness of the reference plane. Actually, reference planes help you to set up your design as well as the geometry. And again, if you just go to the View here and the 3D here, and I'll just go to the east here. You can see the reference plane will be showing in these fields as well. Okay? I hope you find out really well about the reference plane because in upcoming lessons, when you are doing a model by yourself, reference plane will be really useful. 14. Drawings Aids: Sketching your model in a 2D space, or maybe in 3D elevation. So you just need to have a drawing aids. And you might ask what other drawing aids? The first drawing aid will be the temporary dimension. It will give that to you. And the second drawing it will be the alignment life. And the third one will be the objects perhaps. I mean, if you have family with the auto CAD sketching, you build familiar with these timber dimensions, alignment lines and the objects snaps. So I'll just briefly discuss about the first one that is called temporary dimension. And I think, I hope now you have a little bit familiar with the rabbit drawing area and the families tabs here. And if you just go to here, I just clicked this wall architecture here and don't worry about that. There will be a separate section for each families. So now just learn about these things because these things, I mean, temporary dimension, alignment line, these are really useful. And if you just click this one, and now you can see while you are progressing towards downward, you can have a right-side dimension that feel progress with fewer wall type and you have the anger. That means those are the temporal dimensions. I mean, temporal dimension gives you what at what lens you are going, what angle you are going. Such a thing I'm in, such a guideline will give you prior to placing your wall. So you could just go to here. And I'll just press this one. Again. If I do, if I just go to window here, I'll just place a window. And you can see there will be two temporary dimension lines. I mean, the one we'll be showing the left side and the one will be the show in the right side. So your element or object location, as per the neighboring element or object, will gives you the temporal dimension. Those are the definition of the temporal dimension. It failed with the neighboring element, it will gives you the length. And likewise now it has given the length. Just press this one. Now you have placed to our window here. And if we just again click this one. So why it's temporary dimension? If you just, just click this one, it will appear here. And if you just press modify here and it will be disappeared, that means that it will only gives you a guideline and it will only be a temporary. Again, it says the 919 1947. So I'll just click this one and I'll just make it 1940, 1950. Hi guys. So it will reduce some amount from here as well. And again, if you want to change, now, you are temporal dimension has selected from this interior wall boundary here. In order to chain that when you just have to click this main witness line. And while you are clicking this one, you can see, and you might able to see this dashed dotted line, that means the core of the war. That means center line of the war. Again, if you just go to here, it will highlight it. I might, I hope you can see this one, but I don't think that you will be able to see that one. And now you can change to here and your dimension will be, temporal dimension will be changed. Again, if you just click this one, like this. And there will be another option call. If you just click this one, can see it will be center. And if you just again select this one will be sent again. Again, if you just click this one, you can have a temporal dimension like this. And if you just click this one, and again click this one, and you will be having the original temporal dimension like this, okay? And there will be another trick to the temporal dimension if you want to make a temporal dimension as a permanent dementia. But you have to do is just go to here this icon, just click this one. And you are temporarily mentioned will be a permanent dementia. We just modify this one. So now you can see you are temporary dimension has changed to the permanent dimension. Okay. Again, I'll just click this and I'll just go to the wall here. I want to show how the alignment line works. So if you just click this one and while you are progressing towards down what you can see, there will be a light-colored dash. Line will appear like this. Means it will be aligned with the left side mole type here. You just have to press this one because it will give you a guideline. That is the alignment line here. Again, if you just click this one and if you are moving towards it, again, it will show the center line of the wall layer. So likewise, this alignment line really help you while you are modelling or sketching. Again, the third one will be third, drawing a will be the object snap. So if you're familiar with the AutoCad, then you know what I'm going to talk about. So again, right-click. If you just go to the snap overrides here. And from this, you can select what you want to snap. You have the intersection endpoints, midpoints, centers, yes. Quadrant points, whatever the point is, e.g. if you just call the architecture here, we'll again see. Now it says to symbols, this is the midpoint by a triangulate shows a midpoint. And these points are like nearest point, that means cross symbol. Again from here also. It will show this as midpoint. Okay, if you want to create this one, and if you want to have this one like this, you can create it. Those are the snaps. I mean, from the snaps, if you are not selecting as per the snaps, it will not show. I mean, some people prefer to have like these snaps as the end point only. So when you are moving towards your goal like this, it will only show the endpoints, not the horizontal. I mean, not the intersection points are the mid points. It will not show. Again. There will be another minute. Just go to the Manage here. And here. Manage, you will be having this here snaps. If you just click this one, similar to the auto CAD, you will be having these points. I mean, I have enabled all the snaps here. If you just click this midpoints and press, Okay, and now you won't find the midpoint here. C will not show again if you just call the snaps here, midpoint and press. Okay. Now you can see the triangular one will be up here. 15. Grids: Talking about the grids here. If you are familiar with growing skills, I mean the graph, drafting skills. You might know that every project requires a grid line. For Revit. You have architecture. Here, you have grid as well as the structure. And you have the grid. Don't worry about that. I mean both are same. The keyboard shortcut will be the GR, you will be having the grid line, actually the structural bridge soda, architectural goods or the 3D planes in our modal verb. And once you have created a grid line, it failed, not view specific. I mean, it will apply to the whole model and it will coordinate with the different views. I mean, you can still as a reference pain, you can still use them as a guideline again. And they are automatically coordinated between other leaves. I'm in the elevations and the other isn't level one, level two, whether it's doesn't matter, it will stay coordinated with each other. So I just go to the architecture here and either I just click this one or just press G on your keyboard. I'll just try to make a grid lines here. You can see now from the starting point I'll just click this one. And as an endpoint, I'll just click this one. And while I'm going towards the other side, I'm in the right side. It shows a temporary dimension here. It said the full meter part. I just press this one. And you can see now the rabbit has given the name 1.2 automatically. Again, I'll just go the full thousand that means for me there. Likewise, you can create mini grids as you want. I mean, as per your requirement. Now, I have created a seven grid lines here. Now we'll just discuss about the grid line here. And if you just press this one, you can see it's a dash, dotted lines. I mean, similar to the levels. You have. This tick box here. If you just press this one, the bubble, there'll be a being both side. Again, you have a button to elbow this lever here. I don't need this one now, but I'll just make it straight again. So again, you have the option to like these grid lines are aligned seems one. Now I am doing one grid line. It will affect all the grid lines. We just parallel this one. It will only affect this great line, only this one. So again, if you want to have this one, again, I'll just try to do another thing. So if you just go to the grid here and I will just make it another like a horizontal grid line here. Now for this one, I will give a name, a OK, and see what for every disease. Again, if you just go to the grade year, for me, the part where we feel good, some number b instead of numbers, remedy is giving the alphabetically. So rabbit understand about these things really well, really useful. I mean, these are tips and tricks. I mean by the given by the rabbit is really useful. I mean, rather than traditional CAD drawings and those are really difficult, I mean, time-consuming, but rabbit is really good on that. I think we have changed the labels here. You just click Modify button here. You just click this one. Can see from the instant parameters, it says the name of the grid line. And you have the school books. Do IFC, you can go to the type here from the Edit Type. Just remember, the first row you will have to do is you have to duplicate it. Otherwise, all the bit will be changed. And you can change the color, you can change the center segment. You can change the symbol. And what are the older the n segment pattern, those things can be changed. But currently I'm good with the default grid system, so I will not change that one. And I'll tell you about another grid line. We just go to the architecture here. If you just press this grid line here, you can see I'll just grab this one. And this one here. This is the elbow. And just create another one here. Before moving on to that fun, I'll tell you another thing that is called a multi-segment. If you just press this one, just see how you can do it. Just press this one again, plus this one, plus this one. And have a multi-segment grid line like this. Just press this one. Now you can see, I'll just cancel this one. You can see how your grid line is. Now. Just remember you can create these kind of grid lines as well in Revit. So I think I have, I have covered most of the things in grid lines. Just remember you have to, in architectural 0 or maybe the structural, either one, you can use them. There's no such a difference in both terms. Not a small thing is if you just score the architecture here, you can place column as a structural column and the column architecture or columns. So if you just press this one, you can see you have a grid lines now. You can intersect points as you can identify the column points as the intersection points in the grid lines. You can place your architecture columns like this. Don't worry about that. These columns will be addressing a different video, but I'll just show you how these things can be done. And again, you, you don't have to always placed all the columns in a grid. You can place these kind of a place as well. And if you just go again, architecture and the column, and if we just use structural columns here, see that there will be additional panel here that calls a upgrades. That means if you just press this one and if you just click all the grid lines here, and if you just press Finish here, you can see I did a small mistake anyways. So I'll just undo that one. Again. I'll just go to the column here. And the structure of a color here. Just press this Hide button. Don't worry about these things. These will be addressed in upcoming videos. Again, just presses at grades and select all the grids and just finish it and see what will happen. Just go to the View. Can see the intersection points containing all the structural columns like this you can place. So if you have a good system properly analyze, then you can place instantly by using at grades for our structural column. And it will not appear on the architectural column, it will only appear on the structural column. 16. Walls: We just talk about the family's system, families, some of the hostile families and how to modify them. And those teams will be addressing this upcoming videos. Initially. If you just go to the architecture, the main thing you will be seeing is this wall here. The system, primary system family created by the system. And you cannot delete it. This one. You can see the wall architectural, structural and the wall by phase. And the wall architecturally is the one we are using world structural steel. You can create a load bearing walls like a shear walls in a high-rise building. This wall by face means if you are using masking effect. So you can use different kind of a curve shaped or maybe if you are using masking tools, you can apply this wall by paste to a surface of that Marci. So not to worry about that upcoming lecture series. We'll address those issues. If we just click this architecture or button. And now you can see we'll be heading a quick option menu here. As well as your Properties palette will be changed as per your wild type. Here it says basic pole. That means a generic poll. And click this one. And you can find many wild types and in many families given by the revenue. Okay? Usually for the exterior, it will suggest these kinda exterior one. And you can have in a preview will guide you. I mean, what the type of wall you are going to use in the model, e.g. you could just clean this one. Incident parameters also change. And here in couple of minutes I will address these quick option menu here. Now, if you just want to create a wall, I know, I hope you'll know how to do it, but I'll teach you how to do it. Just press this start point anywhere in this drawing area. And you can see the temporal dimension. Now, I'll just close it as second point here. Now, actually we have created it. So again, if you just zoom it so you don't, you can't see anything. I mean, they inside the one we have selected, e.g. just click this one. This kind of a T interior structure will be, you can see why you haven't changed the visual style. Don't worry about this detail level. And the visual style, if you just click this one, here means you have fine details. Just click this one. Now you can see some of them in black and white. You just go to here and that consistent colors. Now you can see. So remember these things. I mean, if you are using a lot of complex project, just use them as maybe shaded one or maybe it's up to a coarse level. In, if I want to click, if I want to create another wall here, maybe same type, Macy pool exterior. Now you can see there will be a quick option toolbar here. That means it says the location line. What that actually means if you just click this one, you have the core centerline, finished, finished phase, exterior, finished phase in period, copious, exterior, copious in theory. That means if you just click this one, finished phase, exterior, school year will be point out, point up as a finished phase exterior. Just again, I'll do it. I'll just press this button here. And I'll just click wall centerline. And you can see your mouse pointer will be pointing to a center line of the wall. Okay. Again, show you around different part co-pays in period. Now. So I hope you understand these things. So there is a difference in dislocation line. And here you have another option that is called the height and the depth. If you choose step will be, I'll just show you how do you step. You just click this one and you will getting a warning like this. That means currently I am at the level one. If you are creating wall at level one, but if you choose to have depth here, it will not show on your level one because it will create underneath of level one. Now I'll create one showcase. It will not show like this, but it is always there. We just go to the View here, 3D view here. You can see I have chosen, they appear. Now. My water has been created underneath underground. I'll just delete that path. The level one here. Press height here. And here you have another option. You can control the height of the war. Currently it says unconnected. And we have assigned only two levels only for this project. For the level two, I'll just select the level two and just create a new level view 3D. Here. You can see this is a level one east here. My second rule has been created from the level one, it's going to opt to deliver to this. We have given the constraint that the height will be limited to deliver to. So that if you have created a new world, e.g. this one. So there will be several methods that you can, that you can change your wall height. The first one is obviously from this arrow key. Just crank this one up, but you can see your height has been changed and it will just grab this down. U of L has been again chain like this. And the second method will be have to go from the instant parameters, all this. Remember the instant parameters. You can go, you can check from here, it says a base constraint level one. And it will be goes up to the top country. That means labor to. Or maybe if you just click on connected, it will go whatever the distance at that moment. I'll just make it to the level to again. See. Now it has been changed again. And here you have another two option that is called base offset and the top part set. What that means is if you have this offset, this offset me in this area, just click here, and I'll just put -200. Then you can see how it goes beyond the base constraint. And again, to just go to here, I'll add 200. That should be plus. I mean, you don't have to use plus sign. But the base offset, if you need to go beyond the level one, underneath of level one, we just need to have this sign convention minus, just remember that part. Now. Have this top box it as a 200. Again, if you just go to 3D view here. Now we created the default families given by the ready. But think about this. I mean, if you want to create a new family type, you will type family type, but you have to do, I hope you remember. Just click this one, score the type here. Always remember the golden rule will be that you have to duplicate it. I'll just duplicate it. And it will automatically suggests number two, I'll just accept it. And here, the structure you have to go to edit here. And these are the the wall which I have selected. Those are the structures of these will contain e.g. it has a thermal IR layer, membrane layer, substrate structure, membrane layer. So what I'm gonna do is we're just going to check 100. Okay? And just always remember. Rebuttal gives you the exterior side. This is the exterior side. And this is interior side. I mean, from the exterior to interior. This is the interior finish. And this is the exterior finish. Always check these exterior and the interior side. And again, I'll just go to the finish here and I will just increase the finished size. Maybe one. Yeah, interior to 25. Okay? And just remember if you want to create another layer, just problem here. You can give it inserted SLS, you can delete it, and you can change the hierarchy of this. Just remember, these numbers. These numbers really matters when you're dealing with the wall structures. I mean, in upcoming lecture series I will issue, I will talk about these things and just press this one at this moment. You don't have to think about it. If I talk about these, I mean, these things will be really complex. Again, if you want to change the core scalar fields, color, maybe any color you want or just accepted. There are some other elements as well. Again, I'll just click this one. Okay? Now you can see are just click this one. And the consistent colors and the school, the pine, the realistic, the bricklayer outside. And I just quoted one here. And you can see it's thicker than the other, other types because it's the same type I have created. But just remember, if you just scroll datatype here, and it could just be duplicating if we just change all the details, exclude this one called datatype here and without duplicating it, if you just change the structures medial all the thing and it will affect whole the family. Similar family. That means this basic pole exterior that will effect to all the elements in your project. That is not good. And again, if you just score the architecture here, just press this architecture button. You can see now when you're creating a world type, it will always go in going clockwise direction, okay? Like this, when you start direction, you cannot create it from here. You have to go from here and here. Okay? They are, there'll be another one. I just have to highlight that continent as well. If you just click this one. Now you can, you know that this is actually, this is the exterior is we'll just check on the 3D view. Yes. In here. This interior side. This is the exterior side. But if you are bound in the all the boundaries I'm involved typed, it should be it should be the interior side and it should be there. So how do we change it to have to pay that manually? Again, no. Just call the level one here. In this one, there's another symbol, icon here. Just click this one. Now you are war has been automatically change the direction. Just go to the 3D view here. Now you can see you are direction has been changed. 17. Wall Opening: In previous videos have created balls. So think about like this. If you need to have a wall opening and then you might table to understand why you need a bowl opening. Because sometimes there will be a utility tunnels going through your walls. Or maybe if you want to have some kind of a window, anything but usually if you just place a window on it, it will automatically, automatically cut your area. But you know, sometimes these things can be occurred due to various reasons in the construction industry. So how you can create a wall opening in webby thing. Now this is a volume wanted to create a wall opening. If you just go to the architecture here, you will have option called wall opening. Just press this one. And initially you just have to click the, the role. You want. You want to cut through. Just click this one. And you can see now it automatically identify as a rectangular area. Just click anywhere here. And now you can see temperature dimension will be happier. And once you have clicked the second clip and you have wool has been cut. And just remember, you can go to the node t naught here. And again here you have the wall. Just click the war and create the opening here like this. Again. The 2D view as well as a 3D view. You can do the whole opening, just remember that one. So how to adjust the dimensions in a bowl opening? The one thing is similar to the wall. You can adjust it from here, from this arrow keys. The other thing is from here. You can change it. You can change whatever the opposite you want. From these things. You can create a wall opening in revenue. 18. Doors & Windows: Ok, about words, that is system family. Now we'll talk about the dose. Those are the host and families. Family needed system family to host the element. E.g. you cannot place for, I'll just click this one. You cannot place. You are don't empty space. You have to find out the system family like this, otherwise you cannot place them. So the dose or hosted families. And just remember, once you have clicked the dose here and it will be automatically enabled it the tag on placement, that means it will identified and it will be killed. And number two, a specific door here. And from the Properties palette, you can choose whatever the dough types that is currently loaded into the dough type families here. And if you just go to here, we are currently has different dimensions. I just choose this one. And here you can place your adult in any way or in a system family. Either side, I mean, in the interior or exterior, it shows like this and as well as the dough, you will be getting the temporal dimension from the blue, the blue lines from here. Now, I'll just press this dough type here. As you can see, it has identified number one because we have enabled the tag go on placement here. And again, if you just click this one, can have this several types of icons. What that means is if you just press this and you can see it will automatically mirrored the mirror to the other side. Again, I'll just press this one. And if we just click this one, it will change the side of it. I mean likewise, you can change it. If you want to change the orientation, not the orientation. If you want to chain where you are though is located, just click from here and you can drag it from here. And you can change from your keyboard, arrow keys if we just zoom in. And if you just click this one, you can see really small gaps between the, I'm just pressing the upward but buttoning up arrow key in my keyboard can see very small distance. It will goes up. And if you just press this one and if you just sue mode, can see Phil B goes down really well. I mean really passed and as well as it will goes up really fast. So if you just zoom in very small distance between the upper, upper arrows, you just go to the architecture and the dough here. We just place another door. You can see it has given number two here. And again, if you just take this one, and if you just press this one and it will not give us the name. But think like if Paul, do you want the tag on placement? They would have identified this house number three and number four. Okay. Again, if you want to change the numbering here, just press this one. Now, it has gone to the emily type editor or just click this firm. Yes, no, no, no. Oh, okay. Now I have selected the tag. Can see it says a leader line. That means this one can drag it from here, the leader line. You can change the horizontal, vertical angle as failed. And it should be a patch or per year. That means you can, you will see it like this and you can see the leader line here. So again, similar to the door types. I mean, placing a window is similar. I mean, windows also, hosts and families. If you just go to the window here, you can place your window here. And you can place your window here. Just click this one. See the temporal dimensions. And you can see the tagline. And you can see that it has marked as a number one. That means number one. This is number ten means the type of the window. This should be marked as number two. Yes, it's correct. So these are the default window and dose given by the but if it has a lots of families given the created by the auto desk, by the mother company. So you have to install it separately for the older families. And if you want to load them from the Autodesk library, you just have to go to Insert here. And here you have the option called load families. If you just click this one. And I'm just now in the English imperial here you might be able to find here dose. And if you just click this one, you can find a preview here. Currently, you cannot import this curtain wall type because we haven't created a curtain wall. Just go to the plush panel here. Or maybe this double glass here. We want to open it. Just open it. And it says what are the dementia? Or just press all the dimension because it failed. Now import all the things. How I do is I just click this initial one and I'll just, by pressing Shift, just score the down here. And I just pressed us the final one. Then it will automatically select all the things. And I'll just press, Okay. What are the dough here? Can find whatever the one I have imported through the load penalty here. So these are the old options I have selected. I'll just press this one and add this one. We just call them view here. And a 3D view can see currently there are whole opening here or just reduce it to like this. So this is the wall type we have imported from the load family. By the default. Private. I mean, there are only very limited to the family, but you can load them multiple number of those windows, any other hostage families from the Revit library? Inches. Click this one. If you want to create a new family rather than these 72 " by 4 ", you just have to go to Edit type parameter and you have to duplicate it. That is the number one rule. I'll just duplicate it. Then you can change whatever the details in here. We can change the BIP, you can change the height, and you can change the thickness. And those things can be changed. And you can create a new family type Emily, and just press Okay, then you are. And all will be changed as per your specification. 19. Curtain walls: In this video, we'll learn about a curtain wall. Really important and really fascinating wall type family. Again, if you just call the level one here, just click this architecture, wall and the wall architectural. And if you just go to this drop down here, I can find this codon. Yes, click this one. And I'll just create my couldn't walk from here to here. Just cancel this one. Just go to the View here and the 3D view. And you can see now I have created my curtain wall. So what is a good one? Actually, you have seen these kind of a thing in real life. Practical life couldn't will consist of basically glazing Melians, the curtain grids. So in couple of minutes time we'll just learn about Mullins and the curtain grids. And you might table to find these things. I mean, lots of curtain walls. Sometimes people call it a facade. So for this one, this is my curtain wall. And I'll just click this one. And again. Now it's a plane glazing wall. So you have to assign a new grid lines for this specific curtain wall. But you have to do is you have to go to architecture here. And it's called curtain grids here. Just press this curtain grids. If you just call the fewer curtain wall, you can see now, similar to the grid lines we have assigned to our model. You have specific grid lines. Only for the curtain wall. You can divide it like this. Horizontally like this. Okay? Now just press modify here. Now we have assigned some grid lines to our curtain wall For around it. Now what you can do is you have to assign Melians for other curtain wall. Just press this button. And once you have pressed millions, you can see once you are hovering your mouse around the curtain wall, curtain grids, it will highlight the sudden curtain grids. Just press this curtain grid. And it will assign a Malian to specific curtain grid like this. And again, for the horizontal, one can assign it. And just the ice. Another option called all grid lines, to just press this one. And if you just press this curtain wall, it will automatically assign hold the grid lines about Melians. Those are really useful when you are dealing with the curtain walls. So again, this is the cut I have created. So just remember, if you just go select here, and if you just go to the Edit Type here, you can create a new curtain wall. And you can, you know, you can define the Melians interior type and you can create different these kind of, I mean, these are the default one given by the rabbit. And these are the vertical millions, these are the horizontal. And you can create, you can chain the grid type aswell, horizontal grid, vertical grid. And you can create from a new codon. Well from that one, I have done it through manually. And so again, think like this. If you want to create a new couldn't panel here. Now, you are coal curtain wall is consisting with glazing, grid lines as well as the malleus. Again, if you just go to here, you can select individual Malin here. Just select this one and press Delete. Now you can see you are modeling has been deleted. And again, this is a really tricky tip, actually. Just moving around you a curtain grid. Just press Tab button. Select this this curtain panel here. And if you want to chain that panel, again, if you just go to Edit type here. And from here, you can change the material, whatever you want. Maybe if we want to have IN duck tail, these gestures, small example, just press this one and oh, I have accidentally not duplicate it. So again, I'll just undo it. Okay. Just again, press tab here. And I'll just go to the edit tab here and duplicate it and placed here. And I'll just click here and just click the undock Talia. I'll just press this one. Now you can see you have created a separate area. Again, I'll just click this one. And while I'm doing it, I'll just click. Just deleted accidentally. Okay? And if you just press this person tab and not this one, I want to now I have selected the grid line. Now what I want is I want to select this whole area as a one area. So here you have another option called add or remove segments. Just press this one and click this one. Now you can see I have created a new panel here. No grid line here. Again, I just want to just press Escape here. I'll just click delete, delete, delete, delete, and I'll just press the grid line, add or remove this one. This one as well. Now, take this grid. Hello removed. Okay, hour I have created a new panel here. Now, this is a really important. Now what you need is just cool the insert here and the load family. Remember in previous video I have told you that you cannot import it because you have to use a curtain panel in order to import this one. Now it's the time. Just click this one, and I'll just press Open here. Again. Just select the panel by using tab key. Now from here, just click this drop-down menu and you are dose should be appear yes, correct. Door, curtain wall, double glass. So you can see it just press this one. Now, it has been converted into a dough. Just remember, in load family, these three actually not a family type. I mean, it's only work with the curtain walls and they doesn't have any dimensions. It will suit whatever the panel you are choosing, right? Maybe if you want to assign these to type to here, it's still suit because it will utilize the area as per this this panel. Now I think you are really familiar with the curtain worse. So whatever the type I mean, whatever the mean, I have just created only a single line, e.g. I'll just call the level one. You just go to here. And world couldn't walk from here. You can create this curb type thing. And it doesn't matter. You can create whatever the wall type you want. Again, I'll just show you another way. You can type on this one. I'll just make the exterior. And again, if you want to, you or curtain wall inside this for architecture here, couldn't walk. Just initially pushed the start point here and click this one and just ignore that message. It will say that you are pulled has been overlapped. Just go to the View here. Vd view here. Now you can see you don't have anything here that because you are couldn't inside your brief fall. So what you can do is just call the level one here. Just go to the Modify here. You have an option called CAD geometry. Just click this one and select this one. And it will select like this. And it will identify that curtain wall. And just go to the View here. And with the 3D view, you can see you are cutting has been assigned. Again, if you just go here, maybe I'll just two like this, just gets better. And I'll assign some curtain grids. Just randomly doing this. You can do it by Edit Type and you can assign them in a fixed distance. You can have something in one direction. Likewise. So you just click architecture malleolus at all grids. So now I have created this kind of a bowl here. And again, if you just call the level one here, I'll just create another wall here. If you want to assign another curtain wall here, we just have to go to Edit Type here. There should be a tick to enable that is called automatically embedded. Just click this one and just press this one. Now here, if will automatically cut. Okay, That's a really easy way to do to create a curtain more getting credit score. The view here, you can see it has been done. Okay. 20. Floors: You've just learned about flow through pipes and closer, actually a system family. They just go to the architecture here. You have a tablet and amino tab here. It's called a flow. And if you just click this one, you will be having architectural, structural load by. Again, if you're using masking In, this will be really useful. Again, it goes slab H. And currently in this lecture series, we'll just learn about architectural prototypes here. We just click this one. Can see you have different types of property palettes. Here you have different types of families. I'll just use this generate 150 mm. And here under this one, you can change the dtype parameter, just duplicate it. Number one rule. And you can change the thickness of this structure like this. At this moment, I will not do anything. Here you have some other instant parameters as well. So now come down with the level one. So now you can see it has given you a sketch mode. That's why it's this bluish color, a little bit green color. In this sketch mode. Actually, if you want to move forward, you just have to create a boundary or you just have to cancel. Otherwise you cannot move, you cannot use other things as well. Can see all things are great. That because we are in the sketch mode, okay? In this sketch more you can find the tool set like rectangular lines, pitfalls with clients, these things. Currently, I'm in the flow, plan creation and Sketch mode. In this one, it is already enabled the peak poor. That means if you just go to, go nearby these walls here, can see it will be highlighted blue. That means where we can identify details of wall. And if you just press this one and you just press this one and this wall is for this, for this for just remember, if you want to create a flow area, you just have to be close loop hello area. Otherwise, it will not try to create it. It will give, gives you an error message. And I'll just press this Finish Edit Mode button. And you can see I have created the flow area. Just go to the View here. And this section. Now you can see I have created the flow area. I'll just delete it. And I'll just again go to the level one and the architecture flow, architecture one. If you just click this one and here, once you have nearby the whole area, just press Tab here and rub it will automatically identify all the boundaries. Just press this one and just remember, these two arrows will identify the span direction. If you are using Rabbet for the structural design, this band eviction is really useful. Again. I can just click this one, C, and direction has changed. Now, I'll click this button. Now I will just go to the View here. And the 3D view. Again, my role has been created. If you just call the level one. I'll just delete this one. Level one and all the flow architecture. And you have other methods as well. You want to have rectangular. Then you can do it like this. This one. And if you just go to the View here, can you see my rectangular, the flu has been created. Okay. Talking about the PLO types here, can see if you just go to the floor here, who have generally cornered 50 millimeter, you have concrete domestic, 125 millimeter concrete commercial in and blocks and generate, generate 300 millimeter in-situ concrete. These things, just remember, click either one of them, maybe filled one, and just go to the edit tab here. Just duplicate it. And from here, you can create a new flow type here. I'll make it 175 millimeter and just press Okay. And you can give the coarse scale in color and solid pattern. Can you are flow will be a BCBA. I just click this one concrete. In school, the level one here. You'll see speak tool button, press tab, and click OK, a 3D view, and scroll to the course here. And here also the scoring. The wireframe, I guess it would be like radium be showing like that, but I don't know. That might be some immunity option. I have. Not. Just by showing anyways, then this one. If you want to chain the previous flow area, but you can do is just go to the level one or either in 3D liver and just click this one and the score of the level one here, you have the option called edit boundary here. Just click edit boundary here. Now you are in the sketch mode again. Now you can change your boundary as per your requirement. And if I just grabbed this one, can see always remember you upload area should be close loop. Otherwise, you cannot create a slow. Yeah. Just create another example. Create a rectangular here. Okay? And I'll just go to the View here. And 3D close loop theory. I mean, if you are creating a close loop inside another closed loop, then it will rub it really identify that as a flu opening. That's what happened here. Maybe it has identified the tensor flow opening. I mean, you can use them for maybe utility tunnels or maybe staircase or maybe any sharp. But you know, it's, it's not wise thing to do this kind of a thing because you know, e.g. if you have like pin number of stories in your building and you have to do it manually for each floor. And the options in Revit, you can use architecture and you have the chart option. You can use them to cut multiple number of stories in one time. Not like this, but just remember these things also really exist. Just quoted the level one here. Just click this sharp one, and I'll just show you. In this one. I have created a sharp here. Just click this one. You just go to the View here. And 3D view. There will be another opening. But this is three-dimensional. If you have another floor here, I'll just call the level one here. And I'll just create another flow here. Really quickly. I'll just be here. Now you can see I have created a shaft and that shaft is cut through my level one and level two. And from that shaft I can create multiple number of openings like this. And you can click the top constraint from the shop. You can adjust it from here. Oh, I did this apparel, but you know that the wall opening I have created, just delete this one. This wall happening only specifically up to this wall, this flow and it will not affect to the level two. But the sharp these, you can change up to whatever the flow numbers you have. And again, if you just click this shaft here, just edit sketch here. Just remember you have the symbolic line. What is the symbolic line? That means you have to give the specific area, I mean, e.g. I think you might be able to find these symbolic lines in the construction joints. Usually if you have a bowl opening like this, you have to mark it like this. Market Control Z. And I'll just press this symbolic line. Press this button. And in 3D mode, you will be not seeing anything, but if you just call the level one here, see, this is the symbolic line means that means it has cut through your flow opening that should be highlighted. That's how you highlighted by a symbolic line. If it's a gain, if you just go to the level two here. And architecture. Architecture and the tab. Then in level tool, so it is highlighted. That is the meaning of symbolic line. You can highlight them in each level. You don't have to go in manually. If you just sit with the shaft opening it Bill, highlighted through every row opening in your module. 21. Ceilings: Just talk about another system. It's called ceilings. So you might wonder that when you are creating a new innovation, you will have a relationship with the flow paths. And again, with the programs, you have another relationship called ceiling plans. Similar to the levels. Each level, it will create rebuttal automatically create another ceiling plan. E.g. if you want to create a ceiling on a particular level, you just have to select this ceiling plan because you know, this flow plants is different than the ceiling plan because floor plan is cut through a different level and the ceiling plan will cut through another different place. In saving plan, it's still cut almost the upper flow liver. So then you can have an idea. Now, I just want to create a new ceiling plan here. If you want to credit, just clicked level one here. Now, if we just go to the or architecture menu here, and here you have the ceiling tab and just click this one. And here you might have automatic city. That means if you just go inside your selected boundary, I mean a close loop. It will identify that it is a closed loop. Then it will select the relevant ceiling area, e.g. I'll just click this one and I'll just press this one and it will automatically create a ceiling plan like this. So again, if you just go the view here and go to the 3D view here you can see now the rabbit has created a ceiling plan here. And that ceiling plan is from the level below the level to actually e.g. I'll just go to the level one here and just go to the View here and here section. Don't worry about this thing because section we'll be addressing different video. But here I'll just, I just wanted to show how the ceiling works. See, now, this is our level one and this is the ceiling plan. The compounds healing actually. Again, if you just click this one, you can change up to a different breed. I'll just sell it to another group. And now I have selected a different grid. So again, if I just score the level, one, can see my grid, grid pattern has been changed. And if you want to change your grid pattern again, just duplicate it. And here the structure, you can have it in the finished. You just go to here finished. And you can have different image. I mean, those things, you can change it. Just click Okay here. And again, click Okay. Again. The manual method. We have done the automatic, been at it. E.g. I'll just undo this one. Okay. Now we're getting now the School of Architecture ceiling here. The sketch ceiling can have this kind of a thing. And I'll just click this big poles here. And I'll just press Tab. And it will automatically identified again and just be this one. Make it six-by-six grid. Smart Lau I have assigned my ceiling. But you can see now, if you just zooming, you can see this is our interior boundary of divorce. It is not aligned with the other ceiling pattern. In order to show it really well, I'll just make us more. Just create another camera view here. So now you can see your pattern. You can see my ceiling pattern does not align with the whole pipes. For that, there's the option to correct it. Now, this might interior wall phase and this is the ceiling pattern here. So again, you just have to go to modify here. And you can find this option called align here. And if you press a line here and you just have to press the surface you want to align. And this is the CVC pattern. You won't do it. Now I think I have corrected it. Again. I see me today. I have to do it for the other side as well. Now, all things are aligned with my exterior interior wall test. We'll just go to the 3D view here. And I'll just make it realistic. So yeah, it's better now. Okay. That's how you align with the world patterns. This heating pattern. 22. Ceiling Fixtures: This video will be extending from the previous video. In previous video we have a sine and a line of receiving grades. But now we have to pay some pictures, especially lighting pictures, or maybe HVAC equipment like those things. So invested in default, you don't have anything like pictures or anything. What you have to do is you just have to go to Insert here. You have lowered families. You just have to go to English in period. And you can go to the pictures or lighting. Here you have the lighting option. Let's go to here and Architectural, internal. And here you have different types of lightens. Plenty of families here. I'll just pick a rectangular the ceiling light linear box. And now just click this open button. And now you cannot find the light fixtures in any of these menu tab panels. But you have to do is you just have to go to component and place a component. And in that what you have loaded from the Arabic families because it will be appearing there. Just click this one and you have the different type of lighting here. I have just clicked click this one. And this is the ceiling. Now I'm with the ceiling, I mean, ceiling plan. I'll just place my lighting here. Again. Now I have fixed my lighting on the ceiling. Now I have to align with my ceiling. Again, just go to the Modify here, align and you just have to align with this script. Now it goes live. And I'll just press modify here. Again. If you want to copy that one. Here you have in the modify panel, you have the option to call a copy. Just press this one. Once you have pressed this one, you have an option to multiple. If you want to create only one copy, then just untick this one. If you want to create multiple copies, just click this one. And then it will ask whether you want to, from the exact point to copy. I'll just click this one. And you can see a dashed line will be a print like this, like this one. And again, I'll just have another one here. And I'll have another one here. Okay. Press Modify button. Now I have a fixed poor lighting fixtures. Again, I'll just click this one. And by pressing controlling my keyboard, I'll just press this feature as well. And this one is key. Now I have selected for a number of pictures. Again copy. And I'll just have one. Put this here. Can see I have copied it. Now. I'll just go to the 3D view here. You can see I have placed pole lights here. 23. Roof by Footprint: Talking about roofing for a particular module, I mean some structures using a black robes, some structures using the concrete slab as a row, and some structures using gable roof and some structures using slope a roofs. And there are many plenty of both types are there currently in the construction industry? But here we'll just make a small example of gable roof and some slope roof as well, less flat roof. So in order to get that, you have to go to architecture here. And here you have the roof by footprint. Just press this down arrow key and it will get these tools. It's called the root pi, footprint grew by extrusion, proof by cases. And these things for additional to the roof type. And here what you want is just click this roof by footprint. If you just press this one, it will ask, you have created the roof on the lowest level. Would you like to move to level two or whether you have a separate level? Just click this one from here. I'll just have the level two. Yes. And it will automatically goes to the sketch mode. Again, similar to the PLO and the balls. And you have this kind of a sketch items here, but I'll just pick this pitfall button. And while I'm going over the wall types, it will highlight it blue color. And similar to the fluorine. I just press the Tab and you can see like the old worlds by one-click. And again, here you have another option called overhangs. Overhangs means if you are roof type need some extended amount from the offset. From this type, usually you have. So it's better to have overhang. I'll have my overhangs to maybe 400 mm. Okay. And again here you have the defined slope. I'll just click this one and untick this one because I want to create a flat roof first. And you can see a dash, a blue colored dashed dotted line will be appearing. That is the overhang. That means you are a roof will be extended up to that point. And I'll just click the tab menu. And here, now you can see, now I have created it. You just have to make it finished. And again, if you just go to the View here, 3D view. Now you can see I have created a flat roof with the overhand. Again. If you just go to the level two here, and I'll just click this roof and I just delete it. And again I'll just go to here. Roof by footprint. Again, I'll just click this define slope. And with the overhang, maybe two, maybe 700. And I'll just select the poles. And like this, use the tab bar. Lonely create this time. Like this I have taken manually. It all contains some sloping effects. So you can understand, usually when you are having a sloping roof to having this kind of a triangular in each, or maybe in a particular segment of the roof. Just click this one and we'll see how it ends the score to view here. 3d view. Now you can see you have created a slope roof. Really looking nice. But if you want to have a gable roof, again, if you just go to the level two or just click this one. And I'll just click this Edit footprint button. Just click this one. And I'll just make this as a slope. Again, I'll just press this one. And if you just score the view here and say it's a gable roof now. Okay. Again, now you have created a gable roof, but you know, you are wild-type, has been not connected with the roof type. So how you can connect them manually? No, it's impossible. Just click this role-type and here you will be appearing. Another oxygen here that is called attach to top base. I'll just click this one. And I'll just press the below side of the roof and click this one. And you can see now it has been created to really bear when similarly, you can do it to other worlds as fair. And if you want to detach it, just click this one. And I'll just click this one and you can go back to the normal. Okay, I'll just pick this one again through at that point. And again, if you just click this one, you can see you can have a number of roofing types called roof concrete generate steel bar, joist and the warm pool. And I'll just have this teal bar joist. So if you just want me here, just scroll to the realistic contain some steel joist. But you know, I don't need that. I just want to explain to about the facade or maybe sloped placing, just click this one. You can have a transparent sloping glazing like this. But usually in present scenarios, I mean, you don't have such a thing. You will have a different kind of sloping glazing. 24. Roof by Extrusion: By extrusion. Second method of proof. In your Revit model. Actually you can use them roof by exclusion to, uh, you know, understanding about really different kind of roles. If you want to have on your project and your building, then you have to go with the roof by extrusion. Usually a curb type or maybe some glazing on us particular area, then you have to go with the roof by extrusion. The first method is, I'll just show you how to do a small typo for glazing or maybe curtain wall, curtain move type of thing. In your gable roof. I'll just go to the View here and I'll show you how. Just cancel this one. But this is my current role type here. Now. But to have to do is just go to here. And here you have the architecture. And here it says the vertical opening. Just click this vertical opening and then select your roofing like this. And it will open the sketch mode. And I'll just have a small area like this. And I'll just click this initiated one. I just scored the view here. And now you can see you have a roof opening here. What you can do is just call the architecture here woof, woof by extrusion. And here it will ask the reference plane, I think we have covered about reference plane, but I hope you remember about reference plane. Yeah, I'll just click the play button and click, Okay. And I'll just click this displaying. And it velocity, rho, reference level and offset and level two. And here it will last direction or maybe a line. So I'll just create from here to here as a line. And I'll just press Modify button. And again, I'll just click this Finish edit mode. Now, rarely has created a roof by extrusion and a different group, a small roof area. And I have to do is just go to here drop-down menu and just click this slope placing button. And by, yeah, you can do it manually or you can do it really well if you just look into that. Now, this part is glazing. So I hope you'll remember about dealing with the curtain walls. You have to define the curtain grid. Secondly, now I am going to define some curtain grids here. I'll just make it here. And I'll just make it another one here. I have a sign like two grids here. Again, if you just go to the architecture, you have to assign Mullins, this click, this one, and all grid lines. Okay? Now you can see, now we have created another beautiful at glazing in our roof. So this is one method you can use, proof by extrusion. The second method is, I guess T2 or just click this Modify button. And I'll just click this one and I'll just delete this one. And this one as well. Click one of k again, go to the liver to here, and just go the roof. Before that, I have to assign a reference plane. I'll click this reference plane, and I'll just click this one. And similarly I will just add another reference plane here and click this one. And I'll just name it. Start. Because I hope you remember that we have to market because otherwise you cannot understand what is the name of it. I'll make it end here. And again, I'll just go to the roof by extrusion. And it will last specify a new work plane. I'll just click Name here. And here, I'll just make reference, reference plane as a start one. This one, click, Okay. And it will last quarter of view because we have to go to a certain elevation, then we can have curved type of a roof here and here, open view. Now just click Okay. Now currently from this field you cannot see you a reference plane, so I cancel it. And again, just go to the liver tool and roof by extrusion. Find the co key and I'll just go to the south here. In South also you cannot see you can do is you can go to the level two. I will define another reference plane like this. Okay? I'll just give it number one here and two here. Now, again, just go woof, woof by extrusion. Man. I'm the one. Okay, and it will ask East. Now you can see you are reference plane. Click here. And now I'm going to create a new, I'll just change it to a one row. And I'll just create a different kind of a roof here. I'll just start from here. And having the roof like this. And here, the kind of a shape here this far. And now you can see they just go to the View here. Freely view. You have wool has been created, but you know, you are all has to be attached to the top best. Now just click this one and just click this one. And similarly other walls also. Okay. Now it is really good. Now you have created great proof here. You just call it a level two. Can see your roof area. You want to have any open we'll similarly you can change it. And again, I'll just press this one. Here. It will ask a vertical opening again, or just go to that level to here. Click this one and I'll just press vertical. And here, I'll just have this area, this. And I'll just click this one. Meal. Okay, you just go to the EU here. 3d view. You can see that part is cut through this one. Similarly, in other areas, you can remove that part only then. You will be only containing where your boundaries are. So just remember, we have to go with the vertical opening. Again. I'll show you how to do it. The score, the river to here. And here, this one, just click this vertical opening and you just have to create a boundary here. And likewise, like this, okay? And it will cut through, just call it v and 3D view, okay? 25. Columns: Bring about columns in ready to have two different types of columns. One is architectural column, and the second one will be the structural column. If you go to the architecture on. And here you have the structural column as well as architectural color. You just press this architectural column. You can have a rectangular column. It says 475 by 610 mm. And here you have to, you will be getting quick access menu here. Remember what this height, and this is the level of top constraint. You can change it once you have placed. Don't worry about that. Now I'll just place this column here. And if we're just cool architecture and the column, again, I'll just press this structure one. And you can see the I-beam will be loaded like this. And if you just go to the View here, 3D view, and you can see the difference between two columns. This is a structural color, and this is a architectural column. We just press this one. We will have the instant parameters here. It says the base level is level one and the top level is level two. And you have some other details. And once you have gone inside, In a type parameter, you can change the depth. You can change the VIP. Likewise, you can change those details. And before everything you do, you just remember you have to duplicate it. That's how you're going to create another column type. And again, the difference between the architectural and structural column is just click this one. And if you just go to here and you can see these are the structural properties. I mean, this is a seal steel columns. So you have everything related to steal the nominal rates, sectional area, and the torsional modulus. Those things are here. If you are concerning more about structural design, users have to follow this structure or column. And here it is, I shaved wide flange. That means you have to plan this here, okay? And here you have the beat heightened, those plans pigments as well. Just press this one. And how you can change the height of the column. Similarly, if you just press this one, if you have the incident parameters, it is called the top-level as a level too. If you want to have unconnected only if you want to have a separate level, you just have to assign a new level. And you can place top-level as a level three or level four, maybe the roof that's up to you. And again, if you just call the easting and or maybe Saudi, sorry. Loading. Scroll to the vest here. That's better. Okay. Anyway, just press this one. Again. I'll just go, it's better to have 3D view. So I'm here. You can change the depth and the width, that means the rectangular shapes. And from here, you can have the base offset, you can have the top pops. It can change the height of the column and you can assign it on us particular level. Similarly structural. Also see again, if you just go to the insert here, you might be able to find other families related to the column. Just go to the lower extremity here. And again, just go to the English in period and go to the columns here. And you can find these columns here. These are all related to the architectural collapse and timber columns. And I'll just go back and I'll just go to the structural column here. We just go to here we will have separate segments. Concrete, light gauge steel, precast, concrete, steel, wood. I'll just call it the concrete here. And here you have the column with the Drop Caps. And here also you have the column, and here also you have, and you have brown columns, you have square columns. I'll just click this one. And so this one, now I'll just go to the architecture components. There is a component discourse structure. Hello. And here you, where you are concrete square Columbia BIP because you will not get down into the architecture aluminum because it's a structural one. So here you have several options, rectangular columns. And I just click this one and this place, this one. So if I just go, just click this one and just call datatype here. You can have all the Code types. Yet this is a core type you're going to have. And here you have the breadth. And likewise, this is a rectangular column. And again, you can change the height by from the instant parameters. And if you have loaded or if you are using structural column or maybe architectural column, you just have to go to Edit Type and you can create a duplicate, then you can have a new family. Just remember that Ben. And again, I have already talked about the when you are placing architectural column or structural column on and conveyed in a grid video, we have talked about it. But for this one also, I'll just show you the score that they will one here. Who have grid types here, I'll just go to architecture, color, structural columns. And here you have the option to place at all breeds. Just click this add grid button. And I'll just click all the grid here. And I'll just press this finished button. And now you can see it has already assigned all the structural columns onto my grid intersections. Yes, For the view here, 3D. Now we can see all law as sign. Okay, I'll just delete this one. And again, if I just call the level one here, if you want to assign a architectural column, you have to manually place they mean intersection because there will be no option. E.g. I'll just go to architectural here. You don't have any option to place it all by at one time you have to do it manually. Again. Just see how these columns has been embedded to. You have wild-type for shortcuts or just make us, we'll hear how you have wool has been embedded to the column. Because, but if you just place an I section, I mean structural column, maybe like this. It feels not embedded like this. You know. And you will have to, maybe you have to click this one modify. And you can have the cut geometry. Just bless this one and it fill. Nothing will do because it's a structural column. It will not identified as embedded one. Just go to the View here. Can see the architectural column has been embedded to you a warning. Okay. 26. Model Lines & Texts: You've learned about another really useful function in architecture, MiniTab. So if we just go to here, you can find the model and the model line. And what are the use of it? Actually, if you play some model line, it will exist on both 2D and 3D space as well. If you just place model texts similar to if you are, if you're familiar with SketchUp. I mean, you can place a 3D text on a surface. That's a use of it. I think this figure, a small video clip is now showing. It says how you can. I mean, it's already placed a 3D text on a surface. Similarly, you can do it. And how you can place a model line and the model texts from the architecture menu, we have to go to set here. Because initially, before you are placing, you have to set a plane either in this plane or this plane or whatever the plane, you have to select that one. Just go here and set we're playing. Now, it will appear this kind of a menu here. Just click this plane here, and click Okay here. Now, you can see when you are holding your mouse like this, you can, when you are mouse is highlighting nearby surface. Then if you currently I want to place my model line and the model texts on here. So I'll just click this one. Now it has been selected. So I'll just go to the model line here. I'll just go the not the East here. That should be hello. I'll just go to the model line here. And it will ask you to pick a plane. Click, Okay. And I'll just click this one. Again. If you just call the rectangular here. Now, I'll place whatever I want here. I'll just go to the View here, 3D view. Now you can see whatever you have put on your surface. It has been here. So again, if we just go architecture here, model text here. And then it will ask what is the text you want to place here? I'll say Good point. Signal that. So now you can see it fill, drag along with your mouse point. And remember that we have placed our work plane as the surface. And remember, these fill only fixed or maybe this will only fit this surface only. You cannot place. You are texts model tax year in any other place only. But you have assigned as a plane. Just click this one. Now it has been assigned here. Now you can see if we just go to the west here. It is shown in 2D, and it is showing in 3D. Again. Just remember the instant parameters and edit type parameters. Just click this one. You can see the instant parameters here and you can change the depth as well. I'll just make it to 50. Now it has been more extruded like this. And you can change the text here. Just click this one and we can change it. Make it into 0.1 here. And again, if you just go to edit here, and if you just press Duplicate the golden rule, then you can change the font, can change the text size. And those things you can change. I hope you find this video well. 27. Components : In component, in Revit is such an easy way. I mean, we have already done it. But in this video we'll just briefly learn about how to place component. And here if we just go to architecture or the structure, you have the ability to place whatever the component here. We also have, and in architecture also have here. If we just click the place, a component, that means you can import from the default rabbit family library and you can place them on your model. I just go the level one here. And again, I'll just go the place component. Here. It's already loaded. Some of the elements I have imported. E.g. I. Will just import this tree here. You can place a tree. And again, if you just go to the View here, can see gas being placed like this. Again, just call the place component. And you can change each component before you are placing or after that. Also, you can change your parameters from the instant as well as any type parameters. And if you just call the insert here, and here you have the option called load families. I think we have family with this option because we have imported couple of items. Before. Just click this load parameter here. Here you have such a good library. I'm in Timing Library given by the rabbit here. So what I'm gonna do is I'll just go to the furniture here. I'll just place this television, or I'll just have this television production click Open. And now it has been imported to rabbit working model. But in order to find that you have to go to the architecture component, plays a component. It has been the latest assign model. Since then. It has been loaded to the modal component. You can displace like this or the score, the level one here. And again, just scroll the place component. Here you have the previous options as well. So I'll just add this one. We won't see it's a really small one. The School of Architecture modal component plays component. And here you have the television place forever, the place I want now. So likewise, you can place it and you can load them. These compounds, any type of compounds exist on the asset family in very dipolar we can import and you can pull the third-party options. I mean, you can download some families from there are some websites. You can search it on the Internet. Then you can find it. And again, I'll just call the place component here. Here you have another option called the modelling place. But that, that's nice. I mean, the mean is you just have to go to modelling place. So then it will ask at what type of equipment or object you want to create. So you have different kind of option here. You can create a mass or you can create a pipe fitting. You can create a pili or anything. But here I'll just click this Generate model, okay? And I'll just make it, make it as a table. Just click. Okay. Now you can see you are in a different medium, similar to block editor. This is a family generic model editor. So here you have couple of options. Here. You have the extrusion. So I'll just click this one. And again the modified the sketch menu will appear. So now what I'm gonna do is I'll just click here. I'll just make a model similar to similar because I want to make it very random option. Likewise, again, I'll just press Finish Edit Mode button. Now, if we just go to the view here, all 3D view, I'll see you or model has been placed. Now, there are options. Check these arrows. Similar to push or pull tool in SketchUp. You can push or pull like this. See with geometry from this one, pull like this gain. I'll just finish edit mode. Just cancel this one and I'll just go to Edit in-place. And I'll just go to the level one here. Just click this one. And I'll just finish it like this. Now I'm back at my original window here. Let's go to the View here. Really view. Now you have a mass which you have created from the architecture. Components. Modelling place. 28. Select & Filter: Let's again start with some basics. I think you are familiar with this. This, what I'm gonna do today, because I'm going to select item. I mean, the basic thing you will do in relatives selecting an item. I think you've already covered it like many times since the start of this lesson. There are a couple of things you have to learn from selecting. I hope you find out well, in this section. If you are familiar with this section, just skip it through to the next lesson. But if you have time, if you want to learn new something, just stay with this video. So you know now how to select an item in web it, you just have to go nearby the object and you just have to click from the left mouse button. Like this, it will appear some temporary dimension, temporal dimensions, or it is a nearby bit related to the nearby any object or neighboring location. It gives a dimension like this. So again, if you just select this one, you can see like the year as well, and you can select this tree, can select this fall. And likewise, you can select them. But if you want to select multiple items, just press Control key in your keyboard. Now, I'll just select this one. And again, I'll just press Control on my keyboard. Now you can see there will be a plus mark API only appear with the left mouse button. Mouse pointer, just click this one, like this one. Click, click, click, click, whatever the type you want. The pill tried to select it. Like this. I have selected many items. That's how you select multiple items. Again, that's really easy part. So now we'll just go to like zoom out from our view. I'm in drawing area. Now there's another option call, it's called Tenzing and you can select them all from here. Just click anywhere outside from the lips, mouth, left mouse button. And you can, there will be a rectangular at the drawing area and we'd still be enlarge with your mouse pointer like this. So now what you have created all the items now you can release your left mouse button. Then there has been all selected like this. And just notice if you just go to the half of the object or maybe one-third or maybe a quarter of your object, it will not select. You have to go all around it. And that means all the boundaries should be inside this fencing. That means this rectangle, otherwise, it will not identify that has been selected. You have to go all around your boundary. So I hope you find that well. And again, just, there will be another method to filter your items. So I'll just select all the items here and just go to the filter here. You have the filter option. Once you have selected, it will automatically appear here. And just click this filter option here. Now you can see whatever you have selected. It will all appear in this small area. Currently in my drawing area, there will be current and panels. And the curtain wall grades Pi, curtain wall Melians to tags dose furnitures. Likewise with the count, number of counts, it will appear like this. So I'll just click Okay here. So now it has been all selected again. Now I'll just call the filter again. Now, think like if you want to select only the furniture, but you can do is just antique. Here you have another option called Check none. I just click this one and I'll just click the furniture and I'll just Apply and Okay. Now you can see the furniture I have imported from the load component option that has been selected like this. So that's how you gonna filter because with the complexity of your project, it will be really difficult to select whatever the object. I mean, sometimes you will not able to find it by here and filter, you can filter it up. And there will be another method that's how you're going to. This is the second method. You can kill them once you have selected just call instant parameters here. Now you can see the instant parameters has been changed. Now only you can see here it has a tab menu, just click this arrow, and here you have some options that means similar to filter. All the objects here will be appear and now just click this dose here and can see now you have been selected. Remember, sale, you have been selected all the options. Now you can go here and just click this one. And whatever the types you want to select. And you can see the number of the account with the counts. You can see it, but you cannot select them. I mean, not like the filter option. I mean, this will gives us the guidelines, guide, guidance of how many items will be in selected area. Likewise, you can right-click and select that item. Just remember that one. Only in the filter option, you have that plan. But here also it will gives us now the count of objects currently in the drawing area. 29. Move Tool: This video onwards, we'll just learn about some functions in modify. This modified button is really important in web it because you have couple of options. I mean, if you are familiar with AutoCad and this will be really easy to you because there are a couple of options similar to AutoCad, e.g. trimming, extending, moving, copying, rotating, and lining and the mirroring. So these things are really familiar to you. So if you are Mastering Revit, you, you just have to follow these toolset as well. So from this video onwards, you've just learned about these things here. The first thing here you have the Move option. And before that, I'll just tell you there are a couple of you can move an item. The first thing is you go nearby an object. It before you're selecting, it will highlight it as blue. Now you can click your left mouse button, and now you can see your mouse pointer has been turned into a UNO movable pointer. Now you can move like this. And again, the second method will be you have to click that and then you have ragged, whatever the place you want. Likewise. So again, similar to here. And just remember, you can change the location of those two families, but you have to find a system family to host them. Likewise. Otherwise you cannot just click this one. Not move. Currently I'm using curtain wall, that's why it's Kevin be changed because it's fixed now. So I'll move this door here. You can see as a third option, you can use this move tool here. Just click this one, and you can drag it like this. Well that first you have to select this option. And you just have to click this More button. And it will highlight some blue colored dashed, dotted line around your boundary. Now you can click any place you want because rabbit will highlight any point. So then if we just to click method, just click this point as a starting point. Now you can see the rebuttal gives you the temporary dimension where you can move your object. And once you click this one, it will appear you object here. But remember, this is the point we have selected. That means here. And this point, the second point also, our point there'll be appear like this. You can see, I hope you find out that bell. I'll do it. The select this one and click Move here. And here, click this one. Whatever you selected, the location of view object. The second click, when you click anywhere in this drawing area, it will be the same as its place. Just remember that one. There'll be another method. There is a fourth method. You can just click this object here from the keyboard in your computer. You can move, you can use your up arrow like this. You can move like this and down like this. And the left and the right leg this. Similarly, I mean, I have told you in previous lesson, if you just zoom out here, we just press down here now you can see a rapid and fast there. You can move your item. But if we just zoom in and if you just press a button, you know, it's really vary. You will move your object like this. So from this method you can place precisely. But you know, there will be consequences because if you place a component or maybe a family in a wrong place, that will be good. So you have to find out, well, I mean, you have to Aemilia with the oldest method and just do whatever you feel easy. I mean, that's the best way. Again, just click this one. And if you just click this move here, you can see there will be two options here. It's called the constraint and the disjoint. Disjoint. That means, if I just click this one, now I want to change this ball here. I just clicked this move here, and I'll just click this disjoint here. Now what will do is it will disjoint with this previous wall here. Again, I'll just press Undo here. Again. Just press this one, button and click this one. It will not affect because it's just me not connected with any other element. I'll just click constraint here. You can see it will only moves vertically and horizontally. You cannot move inside this, like this. Okay? 30. Copy Tool: I'm going to lock the modify. That will be the copying an element. So similarly, if we just click this one, we just press this Copy button here, or C or in keyboard, just click this one. Similarly in Move button, you will have a close boundary from the dotted, dashed lines. And you can click any place, the first click. And now I have clicked the constraint. I'll just click this one. Now you can place them in any base or any sideways or any place. Just click this one. And you can see there will be a copy of your original image. Like this. Again, you just click this one and just press Copy constraint. And it will only copy and vertically and horizontally. We don't have any of these Join option because it will not affect if you have a copy of this one. It feel either or it will definitely disjoint with these elements. So it doesn't matter any disjoint. And you have another option called the multiple. Just click this one, copy and click this one. And again, I'll just click this constraint. I'll just remove this one. And now I place it here. And now I have selected multiple. Now I can copy multiple number of elements like this. Really easy. 31. Rotate Tool: Modifying tool is rotate. So how you can rotate in really simple ways. Just press this one. And from your keyboard, you can press Space. Can see I have press space in my keyboard. Likewise, you can rotate them. The second way is just click this one. And the keyboard shortcut, they'll be R0. And now you can see there will be a straight black line. And the center point here, that means you will rotate, you object from this center point. That means this is the pivot point. From this point, you will rotate it like this. So the temporary dimension will give you the anger. If you've only 90 degrees. Now, I'll just press this one. Now it has been actually, I have accidentally clicked Copy button. So I'll just untick the form. Just remember those things will be exist in a couple of minutes. I will address those issues as well. Again, I'll just go to the copy here, rotate here. And from that firm, just rotate it 90 degrees. Now you have rotate your object. And again, if you just go to here and from this point, can rotate to a object like this. And again, if you just click this one, now, if you want to change your pivot point or a midpoint, just click this one. And now you can see your mouse has been changed. So I want to make pivot point. Yeah. Now you can see rebuttal. Identify the location like this. Now, here, I'll just click here. Now you are pivot point here. Now you are. Object will be rotate like this. It should be the middle part here. And you are objects, there'll be moved like this. Okay, I hope you get it. It's really easy. Again. Just click this one. Click Rotate. Change the pivot point to here. You can see now we can move the object. Again. Similarly, just click this one. Rotate and you have an option called copy. And if you are moving and I'll just make the center point to a different point because it's round, circular. You won't see any difference here. Again, rotate here. Copy, center point will be here. You can see you have copied another element with the rotate option. Again. If you want to rotate this wall here, just click this quartet. Just click this copy button here. And here you have the option called disjoint. If you just click this one. Now we can see what will happen here. So you are wall also. This horizontal wall will be also connected because we have Antique the disjoint button. Again now just press Undo here. Just click Okay here. And I'll just click can do here. And again rotate and disjoint. Now it has been moved to see it so we can rotate. 32. Mirroring Tool: Modify option. Mirror, pic axis and the mirror pro Axis. I mean, if you are coming with the AutoCad knowledge, these are really easy. That's why I say it. If you are familiar with AutoCad, these are really easy. You can skip them. You can move ahead and you can learn the other lessons. But if you are not, just learn from here, here you have called the mirror pic axis. Now what you have to do is just click this one. And here you have the option called mirror pickaxes. I just click here. Now. Again, they will ask a nearby axis. Now it has been identified. This has been axis. And again, this has been accessed, or this has been axis, or any place like this. But I use this one. And you know, there will be a option bar here. It says a copy. Because if you want to copy and mirror them in this is option. And if you want to delete them, the original object and mirroring, then you have to untick this one. I show you how to do that in a while. I just click this one. Now you can see you have me read this option. So again, I'll just do a really, you know, these are, these are similarly both symmetrical. So I'll just go the architecture here. Plays a component. Sorry, please. Component. We also saying I'll use table or it's also saying, so I'll just go to the lower extremity here. I'll just choose stem not payables. We check. Yes, that's better. Just open it. And now appear. So. Now you have placed and the place component here. Now again, just go to the pick axes here. We can see couple of axes here. I'll just click this one. Now you can see you have created it like this. If I just click this one, delete it, and I'll just make a simple wall here. Now, I want to mirror this object inside this area. What I can do is to speak axis. And here you have couple of axes here. So I'll just choose shaded red and that's what happened. Let's go with a generic yes, that's better. Go to here. Pickaxes. I can see you can click the center or core. And now you have merit, okay? On delete. This one, delete CO2 here because x is not copy. Can see your original model, they will be deleted. Okay, I'll just undo that term. Just click this one. The second option, mirror, draw axes. Just click this one. You can draw your axis like this. And you are low element will be moved like this. Now I have not selected copy. That's why the original model has been deleted. Again, I'll just click this one and undo. And here I'll just pick this one copy. And I'll just create my axis like this. That's how we are going to mirror an object. Okay? Just remember, if you're mirroring an object in a hostage as a family. So these stores are hosted families. So just click this 1 m pick axes and you can either select this one. And it will say you are, the elements is overlapping. And I'll just click Delete instance. What you have to do is just click this one and just remember all this. You cannot place or some family in any other area unless it is a system family. That's, that's the theory. You have to remember that one, just click this one. And here you have the option to go grow axis here. I'll just draw my axes here. Now it has been minimal. So that's how we're gonna mirror and fostered feminine. 33. Trimming & Extending Tool: Element of the Modify here, that is called trim and extend. Here you have three options here. This is called trim mixin to corner. And here you have the true maximum two single element. And here you have the tree mics into multiple elements. Okay? Now, we learn about this criminal element to corner here as the first lesson. Now you have two worlds intersecting like this. Now what you can do is just click this one. Now you want to keep this area, this L-shape area. Now you just have to click this one. And you just have to click this area. And it will keep this area as well. Again, I'll just undo this one. Just click this area. Now I want to keep this area. So I'll just click here. Now it will be API like this. Okay. That's how you're going to do a trim accent corner. And the second option, premaxilla to single element. I'll just click this one. And now I want to extend this wall up to here. So now what you can do is click this one. And once you have gone to the second object, it will show blue color dashed dotted line, like this. Now that has been extended. Okay? And again, if you just make it more, now what you're gonna do this just with this one. Now I'm going to trimming this one, and I'll just click this one. Now it has been trimmed. Okay? The third option is creaming or extended multiple elements. So now what you can do is just click this one. I'll just kinda do this one. Here. I'll just click this one. And I'll just click this one and click this one. Whatever the amount you will have here. You can click and extend, or you can trim. Or there will be another method. Just undo this one. Here, just click this one. And initial element, just click this one. And from the left mouse button, just draw like this and it will be extracted. So I hope you'll get it really easy. 34. Split Tool: Lesson in the Modify tab here, it's called the splitting. So how you can split the wall or any other element. Usually you cannot split table or maybe hostile family. Those things you cannot split. Most probably you can do it for the world's those things you can do. So here, how you can do is here you have the option to split element, and here you have the second option, split pay gap. So now what you have to do is just click this one. And again the modifiable will be API here and split element. Now you can see your mouse pointer has been turned into a little bit nice kinda pointer here. Just click this one in here. Or maybe here. Yeah, in this point. So as you can see, if you click twice in the same area, that that section will be gone. That's because we have selected this delete in a segment. So again, I'll just show you, I'll just undo. Now, if you just click this split element here, I have selected under one. I'll just hit Undo here, and I'll just click this one. Script element. Now I have selected this one. So now if we just click Modify, now we can see you have two more Walt said segments here. This one and this one because we have splitted. That's how split box. Now what you can do is click this split element here. Again, if you just click this one, you can create a gap. Okay? Again, I'll just show you click this area and this area. Now we can create a gap. I hope you find that bell otherwise. Because that's because we have selected this delete segment. So the second option is split pay gap, and I'll just click this one. Now you can see you will be appearing option called the joint gap. This is a gap bit. I'll just choose 500 millimeter. That says how the French yes. Game. Because otherwise it will be a wall opening. Just make it 300. Okay. Now I'll just click this here. Now we can see we have created a gap. If you just go to the View here, pretty view here. So you can see the gap like this. 35. Elevations: In here. If you just go to the view here, you have couple of options. Actually, we have talked about 3D view, default, 3D view, we have talked about, and we have used some camera and walkthroughs. But here you have another really important aspect in reading that is called alleviation. I mean, if you're usually, if you have to give a structure or maybe a building, or maybe a resident's house. So you have to give them elevations, you have to give them fluid levels, and you have to give them across sections. And usually architect or maybe a draft per cent or maybe a structural engineer, they'll submit those things. But in Revit, you don't have to do it manually. Once you have built your model in 3D, you can generate elevations really easily. That's how we're going to learn in this lesson. How to assign elevation and ran the function exist on the elevations and what can you do from the elevation options for that? You have to go to the View here. And you have the option called elevation here. And this framing elevation will not talk about it right now because it's usually comes with the structural rabbit or the architecture really. Here you have the option called elevation. Now you can see you have and elevation. These are the elevation in the project browser. So you can see the east, north, south, and west. So in order to understand, I'll just delete it like this. It will give you a warning message. Now you can see once I am deleting that one, it will also did it with the elevation here and only the North remain. I'll just delete it. So I'll just go derivation here. Now, when I go to the elevation, now you can see you have an option with your mouse pointer. There will be this kind of a bubble will appear. And there will be a point head that is focusing on which direction you need. So currently it says is, but I don't need this currently. This area is my notes, so I'll just make it like this. So north and east. Just click is fun. Okay. Now, you can grant them whatever the place you want here. Now we have placed for elevation north, east, west, and the south. So if you just go to the here elevation, you have the elevation. Now. Now we'll just learn about what are the components in the elevation function. Just click this one. You can see just press Escape here. Now, if you just press this one, you can see you or pointed focus on this direction. That means if you are looking from this direction, it will see only on this direction. That's how this elevation function works. There you have the option to enable your elevation from here. If you just click this tick here, you can see there will be another elevation will be generated here. Because now this elevation bubble has to point direction, but I don't need that one. I'll just click. Okay. And likewise, you can create all four direction from here and you can rotate them. E.g. if you want to look QR elevation from this angle, you can rotate them. So you can rotate them like this. And you have here small space. In the end of this video, you will know what is disease. So again, you can click either side. Now, getting to just go here, I can see that you appoint head will be focused on this direction. Just click this one. And tick will be epi on this direction only. Likewise, that's how we are going to create an elevation here. And again, they just go the elevation here and see you can place them inside your module. I mean, inside you are in theory as well. So now I want to place them inside my interior area. I'll just click this one. And after that, I'll just click this one. And I will enable every direction like this. Now you can, you have to notice once you are creating an elevation, it will be, I feel like this. You have to rename it because otherwise it will be really hinged. You will not able to understand where you are true notice, and where you are east, west, and the southeast. That's how we are going to name and, you know, what are the functions of the elevations are. So again, if you just click this one, you can see this is how we're going to adjust your elevation tab. Again, I'll just read this one. Okay? Now, if you just move to here, you can see this is my elevation one. You just go here. This is my elevation to a and this is my elevation three, you can see it's not up to, uh, you know, up to a good view range. Again, if you just go over here. Similarly, like this. Again, I'll just go to the floor plan here. This is how we are going to just add one. So now if you just look from this side, this is the view angle B range. Actually, you can create this view range up to here, up to here, because now it's currently like this. So you want visible this area because you have to go Other side. So this area is good. The range. And currently from this one, you will only seeing this area. You should extend up to here. Then you'll be able to see this area as well. Again, from this bar, this trade by actually you can change, beat up dB way like this. Okay? And again, just click this one. Only seeing this one, not enough, you have to go at least here, okay? At least here and here also very small area. Just adjust this one from here and here. And now you go to, you can see, and here you can adjust your height. This is your score here. Can I just hide from here? You can see you have a good options here. Hi Tia and all the ranger here. So only the height. This I good. Just go to the floor plan here. Okay? This one. You can see you have any instant parameters here and just pull really tight here. You have the ability to change your bubble type 12 millimeter circle and the callout head, those things on me. Other than that, you cannot change anything here. Think about like this. Usually, you have to submit one summary sheet. That should be a summary that should be contained all the elevation that should be contained, all the plans. That should we contain some sections. And those things you have to submit. Maybe counsel, you may be relevant government authorities to get an approval. Usually has inbuilt sheet here. Just score the sheep here, and right-click and just click new sheet here. It is, cancel this one and it will last what are the size? And if you want to import a title block, if you have, if you accompany this exists this title blocks, you can load it from here. Currently, you don't have just the cocaine. Now, Autodesk default template has been opened here. Not worry about this one is titled blocks. Sheep will be addressing the upcoming courses, not in these courses because otherwise it will be really jam-packed. Have to know some things prior to these things. These are additional currently. And I'll just I just want to show you what is the elevation bubble details. That's why I'm going to do is just click this one and I'll just add two here. And you can see block has been added. Randomly, place it to worry about this one then. Now. Now the score, the floor plan here. If you just swimming. Now, you can see that paper number. The sheet number, we have a plan. So if anyone referring this one, the nose this section exist on the sheet number is 01. That's how gravity is. Interpretability of rabbit goes like this. Of this sheet number is 101. Okay. 36. Sections: In previous video, how talk about elevations under the View tab. Here. In this video, we'll briefly explain about what are the sections, how you can create a section, and what are the functions of the section. And those things will be addressing this video. So what is the section in Revit or any other AutoCad model? So sections are similar to the, you know, when you cut through a model like a piece of cake. So I mean, you might be able to know about these sections because if you cut through a piece of cake, in a cake, then you can see that the inside layers, how the cake structure will be organized. So similar to that example, if you cut a section in Revit, e.g. if you cut a section in this direction, that means horizontal direction. It will show what are the, you know, the section inside it. Likewise. So that is basically the definition of section. Usually for approval process, you have to give x or y-direction sections in order to understand what pays the inside but inside structure. E.g. for a particular wall type, what is the inner core will consist of? The interior core as well as the exterior side contains those things will be addressing these sections. When you cut out sections on a rabbit. How you can cut a section. Here you have view and under the View you can just click this sections here. Once you have clicked section, now you are my mouse pointer has been changed to these kind of focus type of a thing. So now this also to point a process. The first point will be out just quick this first point. And again, I'll just click here. Now you can see I have created a section. Once you have created this section, you just go to the Project Browser and see this has a new section that means these calls. It is also called section, section one. Now, if you just click this one, you can see similar to the previous elevations. You have a range here. You can adjust it from here. And here you can change the depth of the section. Currently, this is enough because my structure is only containing on this area. So these are additional areas. Again, if you just zoom into the bubble here, you can see there will be a direction here that is called UR section will be cut from here. And you are this section will be the see-through. I mean, you these sections will be cut through. And you can see you go to the section one, you can see This section. That means the direction of the bubble is right. If you again just go to the level one here, you can see this is the direction. So how you can change the direction of the bubble? Just click this one. Now you are. I'll just go to the section one again. Now you can see, you can see a different section. Again, if you just go here, not this one. I'll just make it realistic. Okay? Now just make it pi1. So now you can see these are the my walls wall type. And my wall type contains brick as my exterior and I have a membrane cool. And here I have the interior finishes like this. Currently I have used only a typical generic 150 millimeter flow type. If I have used a separate one, e.g. I'll just click this one. Now you can see the section cut through all and everything. Now you can see a lots of details here similar to this one. Now I have cut through a window that's actually a dog chewed. It should be adore. Yes. Now, that's why it's going to see like this. So these are the typical functions of the section. It will give the realistic, I mean, good you to understand about what is inside our model. Again, I'll just go to the floor plan here. I just click this one. You can see a similar lighting kind of symbol here. What these do is just click this one. And now you can see usually architects and the professionals in the industry, they don't like, they have to keep you are drawing very neatly. If you have a section like middle of your model, it's kind of a not good, I mean, for the cleanliness of the drawing. So what you can do is just click this one and you can click this one again, this little bubble. And now we can see this bill gives you an idea. This is a section, but in your middle area, there will be no Any such a thing. Okay. Again, similar to the elevation. If I just call the Sheet here, just delete this one. And I'll just add my section here. My section here, and I'll just go to the plan here. Now you can see you are inside your bubble. That should be highlighted as a 101. That means it's under the sheet number a 101. Then you, if you are familiar with these things, you know, now, you can find out your section is these things are really useful. And again, if I just go to the section here, just press this button. And I'll just click here. And you can see how you can use the range here. Again, here you have an option that is called split segment. Now, if we just know, just draw a complete one, that's better. Yes. And you said this range here. Okay. Now I'll just click this split segment here. Now, again, similar to the, this split segment, your mouse pointer will change into the knife. Now, I'll just click here. Now you can see, you can have this kind of a staggered section here. Just click here. Now I'll just click around here. Again. You can have, but, you know, now our view ranges here. Now you have this U or V ranges split this one. Just my view range, more. Game. I'll just delete it. I will just show you from the beginning spreader. Again, go to the section here. This split segment, just kept from. Yeah, likewise, this is now a new section. Now you are section will show. If I just go and click this one, this is the V area. And it will show this area only this is where your point is located. And you can see you have kind of a cut through your door and you go to the new room here. And from the new room you will adjust to the exterior boundary. And again, you can adjust you a section like this. So again, if you just call the section two, will have a multiple option like this. So these things are really useful when you are learning and Mastering Revit. 37. 3D view: Now we have to know about these sections, elevations, those things. So now we'll talk about some other function. I mean, we'll just talk about 3D view actually be, have used it. I mean, you know about these things, but I'll just let you know about these things because these are really fascinating because 3D view is the most fascinating thing when you compare riveted the AutoCad, It's really easy. So now if we just go to the 3D view, from the view here, you have couple of options here. Default 3D view camera, walk through. Again. If you just go to Project Browser here, you have 3D views here. It's called the 3D view. Now, if you just click this one or you can just call the level one and view and just press this one. You are default 3D view will be appear. So from the view cube, you can rotate it like this. I can see the pivot point. And again, from the this 3D wheel bar, you can change the pivot point as from the center. If we just click Center from here to our pivot point will be changed. Now, if you just rotate it like this, your pivot point will be here. Again. You can rotate from, I'll just press Escape here. And from the shift on your keyboard and middle part of your mouse wheel button. And from that you can rotate it like this. Okay, and talking about the 3D view here. Now, rabbit has given you a 3D view. Usually when you are working with a complex project, you should, or maybe you might have use of 3D views because you have to use 3D lives. Otherwise. This leaves our view specific. That means if you apply some settings here, it will only apply to this. We've only, it will not affect any other leaves. Again, if you just click here, I just want to rename it because I want to create another 3D view. That's how you are going to create another 3D view. Just remember, you have to create, you have to rename your existing 3D view here. Just really 3D, I will rename it. It is 01. I just put 3D 01 here. Okay, Now this is my 3D view here. Now, again, if you want to create another 3D angle of V, just call the 3D view here and just click default 3D view. And you can find another 3D view because, because we have renamed the greedy default view, now wherever it has identified this new default view, I hope you understand about it. So likewise, you can create multiple number of 3D leaves here. And again, if you want to make changes to here. And if you just go to the 3D view here, you can see it will not affect to other 3D view. It is only view specialty. Now, I have applied to this one, okay? Again, if you want to have multiple number of previous test score here, rename it. Number two here. Swimming. Just cool 3D view via default 3D view. And it will query another 3D view. Now you are in that one. You can apply this kind of a, not this one wireframe. Now, if you just go to the 3D one, you have another one. You have another option here, and you have wireframe. So those are specific. Just remember that one. Again. Just, these things are the typical workflow. The 3D lives. When you are dealing with lots of projects, I mean, I mean complex project. You can have multiple number of 3D views. That's really good. I hope you understand about 3D view. There's not much to talk about 3D view, but you know, you can create multiple rules. That's the only thing you can learn from. 38. Camera View: We have talked about 3D view here, default 3D view. We'll have another option when we just go to the 3D view here. It's called a camera option. If you just click camera here, I'll just go to the floor level, that's better. So again, I'll just go to the 3D view camera. Just place my camera here. And you can see, you can have this kind of a focus point. That means bear your camera will focus on. And I'll just click here. And you can see once you have clicked the second click, you will be able to open a new window. It's called the camera view. Usually it will under the 3D view. Here it's called the 3D V1. Now you can see you have the inside of your model. So just clicking it and you have the B range here. You can adjust it from here. Likewise, you can adjust your camera angle, as well as the camera height and the base things. So again, if you just move from the view cube, you can rotate it like this. Now I'm rotating my thing. And if you just this one from the keyboard, I'm just, I just see my height like this. I can move like this from my keyboard. I'm using my right side button here. Likewise, you can do it. So these are the typical things you have to know about the camera angle. And you know, when you have e.g. I'll just make it realistic. So it's really easy. Now I'll adjust the camera. So now you can see it's a really good 3D view. So now if you just placed in your 2D and now you can have a camera and you can just see how it works, okay? Again, if if I just call the P1 year, you can have multiple number of cameras all around it. E.g. if you want to have exterior, then you can still do it. If you just go to the 3D view here. This is the camera angle you have created. And just remember, if you want to change the camera angle, camera position from the floor plan, you just have to click this one and you will have to go away. Otherwise you are camera will not show in the floor plan. Again, I'll just go to the 3D view here. Just this, my mouse and now the score, the level one. Now you will not be able to see your camera here. So that's because you have to select from the 3D view, this border boundary here. And again, just go to the floor plan here. Now you can see this is my range here. Initially I have adjusted to like this, but you know, I have changed the viewer in from my 3D view here. That's why it has been changed. So these are the camera, so you can have multiple number of camera views. That's better. 39. Dimension/Annotations : This course module, this will be the final video annotation or you can see the dimension. So it's really important because you have to use this one because otherwise you are drawing, it will be not complete. So actually we have learned about the temporal dimensions in earlier video. But in this video we have the permanent dimensions. So what you can find in the ribbon menu is you have to go to the annotate here. Here you have couple of options for you. Our dimension style. The first one will be the line one, e.g. I'll just click this one. And if I just press, because currently I have selected volts and the line. If you want to go to Wall phases, the rabbit will identify the wall pieces here, the word paste. And I'll just press this one and I'll just make two my startup window here. So I'll just click this one so you can place you are the permanent dimension here. Oh, I decide of here. So I'll just press this one and I'll just press Escape or Modify button. And I hope you remember about the temporal dimension if I just press this one. So you will be having this kind of a temporal dimensions appearing on the drawing area. That means it will gives us a guideline. They are you are object is located. I mean, the selected object has been located on compare with the neighboring element object. Again, you can change your temporal dimensions like this. But if you want to convert to a temporal dimension as a permanent dimension, just press this one and it will be converted to a, a permanent dimension here. Again, moving on to the linear, linear means, the horizontal or vertical dimension. That is completely so I have placed my wall like this. So in order to get my wall here are just quick here. Press this one. Here. See it will only gives us the horizontal or maybe the vertical height only. Now I'll just quick here. Again, I'll just click here. I'll make it to here. So you can see it will only gives the vertical or horizontal direction on the slant or slope direction leading, not good, but you can use a line dimension so you can get sloped dimension as well. If you just call the angular here, that means, again, you can get from this to this angle like this. And again, the radio will be for the arc length. So Andy, I have in here. So you can have this kind of dimension style here. And again, it will show the diameter if you just go here. And you can see it will give us the diameter of the circular wall type. Again, if you just go to the annotate here you have a couple of other arclength you can find out plan. And here you have another important one. It's called a sport elevation. In order to understand about the sport elevation, your score, the sphere here. So currently we are having two elevations here, level one and level two. They just this spot elevation so you can see it will not be normal. The empty areas only works on the levels we have already designed. So it says like this. So again, you can have the similar kind of a really smooth dimension style for the spot elevation. Again, if you just press this one spot coordinate. So you can see gives the northing and easting of you are level, level. So again, I'll just with this one, it will show like this. So I'll just go with it. Annotate here. For this one you have the spot slope elevation. Again, if you just go here you can see the elevation. I mean, the slope of the roof. But usually I prefer b, b not the arrow and I prefer with the triangular like this. So it will gives us see triangular, that means thousand 4,408. So it still gives you the guidance of the guidelines of the week. Alleviation of its slope you have currently be, again, if you just call the level one here for you have, you know, you can place you are aligned dimension as a string dimension. How we can do is just delete this one, and I'll just press this aligned dimension here. Now it has identified the void spaces. So again, I'll just click here, and I'll just click here. And you can see it will not stop until you will be press the left mouse button or maybe the escape here. So again, like this, you can make a string dimension. I have stopped it. Again. Now, if you want to, if you want to delete some areas from your string dimensions, but you have to do is just press Tab on your keyboard. And like this, you can press this area. It will be colored blue. And you can press Delete on your keyboard so it will be deleted from your string dimension. That's how you can do it. Again, if you want to change it, you can see these small bubble here. So just press this one so it will be like this. And again, if you just press your padlock, so again, it says it's locked. And again, there will be another method that, you know, sometimes if you want to offer you a dementia, that's not preferable, but you sometimes you are, you must have to do that. So just press this bubble area. Now you can see that you can replace it with text. Just press this one. So I'll put 7,960 instead of 50. And you can see apply and it will say so voting measured in Maddie invalid dimension value but are the closest one n is press, Okay. Rabbit does not gives you to, save it to gender dimension or the length of lungs, human silicon. Okay, and text field, I'll add 10,980. Here. Again, analogous closest one. You can see you are both dimension will be appear like this. So I will not choose this method if you want to change your dimension. So either you have to place your family or any other family, or either you have to make it white because otherwise you are drawing, there'll be the drawings will be dimension style will be really wrong. So again, that's how you can use annotation or dimensioning website. So from this video, we'll be closing up Revit, beginning crossing. Upcoming video will be addressed about the assignment you have to do. Because what we have learned so far, so we can use, you can use them in the assignment. So I will just briefly explain you about some theories if you have forget those things, so and we will use them in a small example of a single story house you sign. So after that, we'll move on to the rabbit intermediate cause any PLB in depth. We'll talk about some, you know, savings we have not talked about in the beginner lessons. So again, until the assignment, just stay tuned on the SM. 40. Quick Recap-Part 1: Basically in this video, we'll talk about the videos we have, the lessons we have gone through so far. For basically this video will be a recap. What you have learned so far because you know, we have covered more than 38 number of video lessons that there'll be a lot for a beginner level. But if you want to move forward with derive it, so you have to follow the intermediate course, which will be upcoming in another three weeks of time, it will be in there. But before that you need to borrow. You are beginner level causes that phi I have filtered most of the basic stuff for this beginner level course. And actually the intermediate course will be, we'll discuss more detail, e.g. for the system family, how you can change them so you can create families. Those things will be address. I'm currently not to worry about that, but you know, from the lessons you have learned so far, so you can do a small 3D design or small scale household may be of this type of house. So that's what we're gonna do today. So just remember these are the recap. So once you follow this video lesson, you can do your own project, your own upload blank. And you can upload to the project or you can ask anything related to the lessons, any problems. And you can start a fresh discussions in Skillshare so you can ask me directly. So anything you want, I will be clarifying to you. So again, remember this recap video, just go through it if you are familiar with all the lessons, just, we'll just move on to the intermediate course in upcoming video. So here we are in the launch area. I'll just go The new here. And I'll just make the architectural difference between the metric and imperial. I'll just click Okay here. So now we are in the drawing area. I'll just close this one. And here you have the ribbon mean. Here. You have the Quick Access Toolbar, the properties palette, and the Project Browser. And you have the view cube, 2D and 3D navigations here. And you have couple of menu tabs here. And I hope you remember those things. So in order to build something you need, initially you need to have grades, then you need to have a elevations. Those things will be addressing the first thing. So again, just remember these things will be recapped to you. Here. You have the drawing area, you have the elevations here, north, east, south, and west elevation. It will be demonstrated here. And you have the full plans here under the Project Browser public taps. And you have the family's sheets and those things in the project browser. You can plot these properties palette and the Project Browser, but I prefer to have this in here. That's why it's here. So in order to initialize your model, just go to the pre DHEA it sounded architecture. Just suppress this red here. Now I will define some grid lines. A couple of great length, 4 m apart. I hope you'll remember this. You can change into a, so it will be identified as P onwards. So again, the score that grid line here, 4 m apart. Press anything, delete this one, and see what are the tasks identified I have used simple Lay now it can be identified as B onwards school year. Either copy grades. You can use this manual method, but I prefer to have this mental omit that. Again, if you just press this one so we have a line all the things. Now, if you just click this bubble and you can drag your grid lines like this. And again you have the tick to appear bubble here, just click one and both sides will be have bubbles and you have the elbow button here. And just remember, you can have these temporal dimensions as this. If you just press this one, it will become permanent dimension. Again, we have defined our grid lines. So again, I'll just go the East View. I need to define elevations. So I'll just read this one. Again. Architecture. Here you have the levels. So I'll make it 3.3. That will be the 3.2. That is also good. Now, I have made my levels. You can change your height from here. Either you are from here. Either you can move this line. So these things will be, I hope you remember those things. And now just click this one to read. Like this. The project will be basically level three, that means seven, point to hide. Now, if you just score the level one here you can see you have defined fully a grid and as well as elevation. So usually when you are creating something, you can use modal lines here, but I prefer to have walls here and we'll architecture here. I'll just go with the basic architecture, basic wall type, the render break con here. So now I will, I will just set out my layout here. I'll make a small L type house here. I think this really simple and really fast method. So you can see we have the bubbles here. Now if you just go to the View here and here you have the tab called 3D view. Once you have pressed this one, you can see it in 3D. This is the default 3D view. You can rotate from your mouse wheel button and the shift in your keyboard like this. This is the view cube. And here you have the home button. Just click this one. And it will be appear as the default 3D view. And again, if you just click here and the visual styles, you can see the realistic, these are the realistic view. And here you have the coarse, medium and fine. The course will be a really basic level, level of detail, level of development. You can see here I'll just make it fine. And you have the hidden line where you can find all the lines, your model. And you have the shaded and the consistent color. But, you know, I'll prefer to have this shaded or hidden lines that will be really easy. And you're working with a hidden lines you have, you can find all the lines here, again as the score, the level one here. So if I just press this one, have the instant parameters here. Again, you have the type, edit type parameters here. So just remember if we change the edit type parameters, anything here, it will affect all the elements of that wall. So maybe any other elements you have used. Before that, the golden rule will be you have to duplicate it. And then you can create the new family. And now you can have is the function, the scale, pattern, and what are the colors you have to assign and do things older. It'll be there. And I'll just cancel this one. Now, just remember we have already assigned the levels here. So what I'm gonna do is I'll just click controlling my keyboard and I'll just select hold the balls here. You have another option here. That's how you, now what I'm gonna do it, I'll just select like a fancy. And here you have the option called filter. Currently I have only the walls so we can not, I mean, it will work but you know, if, if you have multiple number of objects here, that will be really useful. And I'll just press this one. Here. It says the top constraint, these are the different parameters here. So now I'm going to limit my top constraint up to the level three gain if you just score the view here. See again, I'll just click this one and I'll just make it two unconnected. And now it will be limited to the level three or maybe if you want to level up to liver too. So you can see you will be having a level two, level three. So likewise, you can control you are a family's just remember volts, our system families. You can just click this one and you can add Yes, you are a height from here or either from the incident parameters. Why they, if you just go to the east and similar like this, you can adjust from this. Arrow. Again, you can have the offset because we have assigned to the level three or just score the East uvea and others press this one, can see we have a sign up to the level three, but if you want to have an offset, so I'll just make it to 400 mm. Now you can see from the level three there will be top offset of 400 mm. Again, I'll just make it zero. I don't need that kind of a thing. And again, similar to like that. Or you have the bottom, you don't constrain. That means the base constraint will start on the level one. And as well as you can have an old set similar to the top constraint. So again, I'll just go to the View and freebie here. So now we have assignable walls here. So what we can do is now you just have to go to floor plans here. Now, we will less than other system, family calls or flow. Here you have the option to architectural and structural. Since we are using architectural close, I'll just press this one. Now. You will be getting this sketch menu here. And you can have couple of modify objects. And you have the Finish Edit Mode button and the cancel button. Now, if you can see now we have selected automatically by default it has been selected the pixels. And you can create your flow from the line or any other these materials. Again, just pick walls here. And if you just go to near a wall here, you can see it will be highlighted as blue color. Now if you just press key and tapping your keyboard, likewise, it will be highlighted blue, all the area. That means rabbit has automatically identified all the levels here. Now I'll just press this one and others make it Finish Edit Mode button. Now, again, if you just go to View here called the 3D view here you can see we have assigned our flow here. So again, I'll just call the level one or maybe 3D. These are, I'll just make it to the realistic so you can understand. So this is flow, we have a sign. So you can change the flow. From here. You can see now it has more thick than the previous one, so you can change likewise. So again, now we have Assign walls and the flows as well. And if you just scroll through here, I will just assign some columns here. Here in this column tab you have two option that is structural column and the architectural color. So I've just clicked architectural color. Can see now you have the option to place your rectangular opposite to the column here. Just press this one, so see that it has all ready embedded pretty flows. So again, I'll just click this one. You can place your words like this. Every intersection. So just remember, for the structural columns, you can place it in the intersections by one click. But you don't have that option in the architecture or color swatches places one is or too much, don't worry about that. These are just a small example here. So remember you have the option called structural Colombia as well. Now, we have already lord, you know, universal column size, that means rectangular. Or maybe you can. Actually we haven't, I'll select that one, but from the load family, you can load the particular column may be rectangular column. I'll just show you how the score load family here. Again, just go to here, English in period. You can go to the column here, and I'll just go to the structural column here. Here you have the structural column, and here you have the concrete. And here you have couple of family types here. I'll go, go with the rectangular car. I'll just press this one. And you can have this kind of a structural columns. And you cannot, it will not place visible because we have placed as a depth. But I'll just make it a height. And you can now, you will be shown like this and you have another option. In one time if you just press this one and you can click all the grid lines. You can automatically placed you are structural columns at once in while it's not showing at all grades. Okay. Now it has been added. Now we just go to View here. 3d view can see all the columns has been added, structural columns and you have the Arctic to the columns as well. So I just undo this one, delete answer, contract don't need. I'll just scroll here. I'm going to change the, you know, the difference between the structural column and architectural column. In structural column you have all the parameters related to the structure. E.g. you can have sine material, you have lots of things. These are actually the architectural column. That's why he doesn't have any structural details. If you just go to the concrete structure or column, then you will having compressive strength and yield strength. Likewise, you will be getting those things. Again, I'll just click this one. Now you can use your filter option and hit enter and we'll just check none. I'll just mean the columns, only. Columns has been selected. And the top level I have selected the level three. It will goes to the level three like this. Okay? Now we have talked about, you know, the plausible than the columns. So we will discuss more about some other hosted families now, e.g. if you just want to play some subfamilies and score the level one here. And again, just go to here you have the doors, windows, those are hosted families. So just click this door here. And I'll just load another here. Again, if you just score here, these are curtain wall things we will discuss about in a couple of minutes. So again, now the score, the residential here. I'll just have this one. I'll just click open. You can select all the dimension here by shift your keyboard and the left mouse button. Because you'll be seeing this kind of a dough type here. I'll just use this one. So I'll just use my dough here to dose here has the introns. Now if you just go to View here, 3D view, we can see we have placed our dose here. Again, if you just call the level one here, similar to that, we'll play some windows here. I want to have a bigger window. Click this one. Just duplicate it and just make it awesome. Hundreds. I'm changing the type parameter. It will change all the family types here. You can see now we can place again if we just have the new family, you have created this one and the score to view here again, the window. This one, I'll just select my new family here. You can see currently I'm placing. Remember, you can change the orientation of the host family from this arrow here. You can click that like this if you just go to the view, 3D view here. So you can see now it has been like this. But these things you should know how to change this one. Score the view here, 3D view. You can see. Now it has been corrected. Again, if you just call the level one here for the dough types, you have couple of options. Can chain because currently these are two dose. But if you have used single door, you have the option to change the orientation. Now I'll just like this. Again, if you just go to the view 3D view here, we can see your door type like this. This one that's been mirrored here. Again into the school over here. We have placed doors and windows here. So now we can have option create a new wild-type called the codon was. So I'll just create a small cut moral panel here. I just made now the score, the wall here. I'll just use the same kind of double type here and make like this. Again. Just go to the wild-type here you have the option called the curtain wall. Now currently if we just go to any type here, it saves automatically embed. I'll have that option here. Otherwise you have to do it manually. That's really headache. I'll just click from here to here. You can say, you are, a gold has been cut out like this. And then I'll just place from here to here. Now, if we just go to the view, 3D view here you can see has different type of a curtain wall here. Now what you can do is you have to go to architecture. You have the option called the curtain grid. You can define your occurred in. So I'll just make like this. It's one to two to three. Remember? The final element of the list? I'll just speak here as well. Again, go to the architecture. Millions. Here, we will have the option called oil grid lines. Can apply that to you. Now, you have created a perfect curtain wall here. With the Melians gain score, the level three here, we just want to create a two-year and we just wanted to create a roof. And you have two options. One thing is true by footprint and the second option will be the roof by the extrusion. Use the rupiah footprint here. I just create new route type here. We'd like this. And mod here. It will be assigned the base level as level two. I just made it to the liver three-year shaded mode button. You freely view. So you can see now you have created a wall here. So we have already covered about the roof by footprint. In the next video, we'll just talk about the roof by extrusion and other methods we have covered. 41. Quick Recap-Part 2: Now we have covered the roof by footprint. Only thing left for the roof detailing is by extrusion. I hope you remember how to the roof by extrusion, you need to have a reference plane. So to back pan, I'll get level one. And again, I'll just go the architecture here. Here you have the call the reference plane. Just click this one. Now, remember, I'll add for reference plane for this one because it's a complex situation here. You can get the crust area very easily if you use this kind of permitted. In my videos, I have on the use to reference plane. So I have used now almost four reference plane. Again to rename it. I'll make it start. And I'll make this has a Finnish make this one as number one. So just give two different kinds of names here. Okay, Now I have poor reference plane. Now I can do the roof by extrusion. Extrusion. And here it will ask the name of it. So here I'll just click a reference plane number one. That means here. In just a yes. And I'll just show you elevation East open view. So Gil asked the level number and I'll just press. Okay, now you can see it's really difficult. You can find the start point, you can find it. But you know, it's kind of a difficult situation for that one. I'll just cancel this one, but you can still draw you a roof here. I'll just please slide this. But I'll show you a very, really good way of doing that after this one. Now I'll just press this one now I have created my roof. You hear 3D view. Now you can see I have created my roof by extrusion like this. But before that, I'll just delete this one again. And for in order to have a better view. So what you can do is just call the alleviation here. So this is elevation we have created. It's really difficult with the situation. To that. I'll create an evaluation for that one. I just have to go to the View here. Here you have the elevation option. Just click this one. And you can see you can place your bubble anywhere. So I'll just place here, delete this previous one, and I'll just make this bubble and we just studied this one, okay? Now it says you are viewing angle. It will be like this and make it a little bit more. So you will have a reference plane, then you can have an idea. I have now marked like that. So I have created a new elevation. So if you want to show and just click this one, you can see this is the elevation I have created. The height is little bit less currently. So I'll make it a little bit more from the crop view by Christ. Now I have, I have plenty phases here. Again, just score the level one here. And again, I'll just go the roof by extrusion. And it will ask to play number and I'll just make it the plane number one. And here it will last an evaluation we have created, just make it open view here. And the current level, level three. So it's really easy now you can see these two reference plane. You can highlight it really well. So now I'll create this one. I'll make this kind of proof now. And I'll just click Okay, now you can see just go to the view, 3D view. So now you have created your roof, really looking good. Now you can see if you just their data method that these walls you will have to attach to the roof. So there's a method I hope you remember, just click this one here. It will be appear in this Attach Top beds. Just click this one and just rotate this one and you can click your top view here. And the columns will be overlapping. But we can do that to the columns as well. This one. Let's click. Okay, now it's quite good. Just press this ball Asbell. Oh, yeah, that's better. Now you can see you have the curtain wall here, but if we just click, you can click top attachment. But once you, once you did that derivative gives a warning that you have the Melians assigned. So he cannot identify that the Melians and you can, I mean, the rabbit cannot identify that. Once you have attached to this curtain wall, you have to delete these Mullins. It will ask if the warning message from the rabbit. So better not to do that. So if you are using curtain walls, better, you place a small area, small space around top of the unicorn to attach to the wall type. That's really easy method. And I hope you do that. And again, I'm just going to do that here. Now we can see you Rufus, like here, up to here. But you'll need to cut this area. So what you can do is just go to the level three here is our roof here. So here you have the option called a vertical opening. So I'll just make a small rectangular. Then it will open it like this, or better to to around here and just press K. Now, if you just go to the view, 3D view that has been cut. And again, I just need to go to level three. And I'll cut this area as well. I'll click this area, the vertical rectangular area. A key, I'll just place it. It will say it's quick. It's overlapping currently, so I'll make a small moon here. This one, okay. Now again, the score of the view here, 3D view, you can see you have an opening here. So that area has been open. Now. The bowl has been created so you can do it to attach bits. Okay, Now the roof, a roof by extrusion and for lesser route by footprint. We have already discussed about it. So again, we have talked about alleviation in this video. So either scored the level one here we want to have a section. Here you have under the view, you have the section bar here. Just press this one, and you can have this kind of section here. Now, you might notice that in New Project Browser, you out, there will be a separate sections. There'll be having. So again, just press this one, just press this one. So now you can see the section has been made. But if you Want to get another section view, just click this one. You know, there's a segment, it's called a split segment. Just click this one. And I'll just press this here. You can see, you can have this kind of a split segment. And again, you can change the view range from here as well. Just for the sections here. See now you have a different section. And just notice you just go to here because notice how the section has been cut through and you affection is the direction of the section is like this, where you are at all point is headed. Likewise. And again, I hope you remember the 3D view if we want to have another 3D view. But you'd have to do is just rename this one, rename 3D space one. Okay, Now, wherever it is identified, you don't have a current 3D view. So again, I'll just go here and I'll just read the rotation here. And I'll just make it consistent line. And I'll just press this 3D view and rub it will automatically create another 3D view. Again, the score here. Two different 3D views. You are heavy. If you just remember the 3D view, the view specific, that means if you just change the realistic on the view, the graphic display options, it will only appear on this window only. Again, you, I hope you remember the tidal waves is kind of a because currently we are having so much of tiles. Again, if you just want to have a tab beaks. Likewise. So these things really useful. And the user interface you can control the project browser navigation bar, all those things you have the navigation cube here. Rotated like this. So again, we just call the level one here. And you can create a camera view from the 3D view. Here you have the option called camera. Just press this one. And you can see now I can select the focus area like this. Now we can see from your mouse wheel button and the Shift button, you can create your camera angle like this. If you just click this one, realistic. So you can walk through your model like this really useful, right? Again, if you just call the level one here, we have not assigned a ceiling here. So what you have to do is just score the level one here. And I'll just click this one. And now I'm at the ceiling plan. Once you have created any level, just remember you will getting a new ceiling plan as well. In order to do the ceiling, just go to the architecture here you have the option called Sealy. You have two option, automatic ceiling and the sketch ceiling. I'll just press automatic sealing. Once you have, like, once you move your mouse around the walls, it will be highlighted red like this. So if you just click this one, create your new ceiling. Again, you can use, you can change the material type, the structure, whatever, the things from here, and any type parameter. So I'm not going to touch anything now. You have the, you know, the incident parameters details here it means height offset from the level, that means 2,600. Those things are here. So again, just go to the section we have created. Just zoom in so you can see these are silly. It's a compound ceiling or you can change it to maybe you know, this grade ceiling type. Now go to the ceiling level. One can see these are the ceiling pattern we have used. Again. Another useful things that means you can modify these things. The Modify panel is really useful if you want to align with your ceiling and the ceiling grid. So what you can do is just click this Align button. Now this and this, see it will be a line like this. So that's how you align. Just remember another useful option. You can move from the swarm. Can move this column to here. And I'll just undo that pan and you can copy from this tool, express this one. And it will last like this. You can copy, you can copy multiple number of columns. And just remember, if you have extended version not your walls can trim from here and you can mirror option. If you want to mirror this one, split this one. This is two options, meter, peak axis and the draw axes are you screw axis? Just drew a line. Now you can see you have created another column by mirroring. And I beat the moves of the great, and I'll just press this one. So those are the really important things. Now, we have covered a lot something. The final one will be the dimension, and it is called annotate as well. I'll just go to the annotate here. You have couple of options here. Yeah, you, the widely use a line, linear and the radio and the diameter. And if you just go to the align here, I'll just, one can see. Now I just want to know because I have selected wall central lines. So it will only take as a world center line. Now, I'll just start here. And I'll just make this great series of 4 m. Now you can see, you can go further. That's called a string dimensions. So you can place here. And you know, if you want to have another one in quick, this one, this one, and click this one. You can go like this. Okay? And if you've wanted to believe this one, just press Tab, can select this one and delete. Now you have deleted that fan. Again, the score of the annotated here, and I'll just call the elevations here. Now you can see from the annotate button, you can have the spot coordinate, can see the northing and easting. And again, just go to the annotate here. You can have. Elevation like this. Again, just go to the outlet here, can check that spot, you know, the the slope or use a triangle. So it will gives you the triangle like this. The dimension also view specific. That means now I have added to these East view. But if you just go to the north here you can, you will not able to find this dimension because the dimensions are VUE specimen. Okay? Now what you can do is just go to the preview. Again. This is a structure that you have created, a really simple structure, but you know this elements we have used sooner roof by extrusion columns hosting elements. Dosing really useful. So just remember always you have to do a small example or maybe a project. Just upload to the Skillshare for the predicted area. Just send me any other metals you having because we have to clear all the things related to the beginner level. But when the intermediate level appears, it will be really difficult if you are not familiar with the beginner level. Things we have discussed. So just remember, please submit any screenshot or maybe the project just send me anything, just Let me know what you are problems or maybe the watch you are going to do with the project, any concept you want, just do it. And not like this, you can have different kind of a shape, whatever, maybe whatever the things you like, those things you can do. So just always remember, just do it by yourself. If you forget the previous lesson, just go back or maybe problem, this is a quick recap. Just capture whatever you missed and submit to the Skillshare. Guys. And it will cover a wide range of derivate. And after that, I just want to know that there will be an advanced level course. But maybe if you want to do a good level of detail per project, you can stop from intermediate to advanced level is mostly detailing of the structure. So I hope you'll find this course well. And thank you very much for subscribing. Again. Just stay tune and just follow me on Skillshare. Then you will get the older updates with related to the intermediate course and the advanced level and the structures level, because this is only the architecture level. So again, thank you very much and have a nice day.
