1. Introduction : Hello, everyone. This is Shrimai artist and art educator. I'm so happy to have you here. In this class, we'll be creating a beautiful series of soft and expressive watercolor paintings, inspired by love, warmth, and gentle emotions. This class is perfect for beginners as well as anyone who wants to practice loose watercolor techniques, color blending and storytelling through simple illustrations. I'll guide you step by step, sharing tips to build confidence and flow with watercolors. So grab your paints, take a deep breath, and let's paint something meaningful together. 2. Art Materials: Here in this episode, we are just going to get ready with the art supplies that we're going to create for the upcoming paintings. So it's going to be like a greetings. So the paintings are going to be a little A six form. So if you want to just make with a bigger size, you can just go with A five or A four, but A six is little pretty, so I suggest using that. And for that, we need to have a cans in n 300 GSM watercolor paper. So this is A five. I have just split up, so just make it into A six cards. So I have these mini cards ready. So before starting with the painting, just have the cards ready. And secondly, it's going to be with a paint, the watercolor paint. So I'm using here with a Himi brand watercolors. So these many colors I have swash that's in the set. And these colors are so good and vibrant for a beginner to use. And it comes along with a more brush, and even these brushes are so super good. You can use it very perfectly and holds great amount of water work. And next is, like, masking tape if necessary, we can just go with it. And I have just a bit of white guash squeezed, so to make a highlight. And with a spray bottle, to activate the paint, a pencil, to make a sketch, a napkin, and an eraser. So these are the necessary things we need to have along the painting session. So let's get started with the very first painting, and I'll be meeting you there. Bye bye. 3. Techniques and Color Palette - 1: Here is our first technique and color palette session. So for the very first painting rose, and I'm here going to just this about how to elevate with the basic sketch of the rose. So we could just make easily with the main project just in very few minutes. So first we need a very pre sharpened pencil. So with this, we're just going to make an alignment. So where we are going to make a sketch of arrow. This is the place I'm going to make with the drawing piece. And here we need to just pull up with the stem, a base extem. So this is how it goes narrow from the base and little widens on the top. So we need to just build up this way. And from here, we are just going to make imaginary curves. So outline, we can call that as an outline. So with this outline, we're just going to make a rough spacing for all the petals of the roast. So yeah, this could be around this much space. So this curve should not be that visible. It's just an imaginary line, and we need to keep it it lighter. So now I'm just going to start making with the petals in the center here, moving little to the top from here. I'm just going to make like a C curves this way. So I'm just adding up with the C curves as layer. In the second layer, it's going to be a little broad and starts from here. So it's going to be small swirls of C with a great depth. So it's going to be this way, starting closer and getting broad then ending closer this way. So if we make it a little small, it's going to be like this So you should not make it separate when in the very middle porting, you should not make it very separate this way furrows. Just keep on overlapping without it should be like one on other arrangement of the petal should be one on other. And from here, I'm just going to make with the second bigger petal, the second layer, so from here, like this. And the other petal just starts here. I have added this in the section. You can refer it there. Just making a little lengthier portion to show the depth of the flow and from here, it's with the other depth on both sides. So this is the second layer, and you're going to make one with the beautiful perfect curves going a little broader and just making it thinner. This is the pattern for making the rose petals. So it'll be easy just having a sketch reference and taking your own time, sketch it. And one with a better sketch writing will be very better. So this is the outermost layer and just overlapping. And from here, it's with another overlap. That's it. It's a little simple, but it looks a little complicated. So we need at least to try off like twice based upon your work. So if you get a little great in the very first try, so happy, we can just go with the painting. If not, we need to make the card look very better. So you can just try again. And for the better result, just need little patience to make. So this is the basic sketch we can make for the rows, and next is going to be with the color palette. So for that, I have my mobs ready. So I have my rose color ready, and next we are going to just focus on how to paint for the petal. So let me just make a simple sketch of one single random petal here. So it's going to be with a shape like this. So let now, so on here, we need to just take our rose paint, activating it. So this is a lighter value of the color, any hue. So hue is actually color. So this is the lighter value. And if we add a bit more color to that watery thing, it's the second value. So the value is nothing but it's just the increase in pigment. So this is like a bit more paint added, and you can see the value difference here. So you can call this as a value scale. And now I'm just going to add a bit of water. So I have just dipped in my water bowl. So we need to just carefully fill in the paint. So this is just trial. But when we work with the main project, we need to just erase the pigments of pencil, so because it's too dark and that will not result very beautiful. So we need to just dab with our eraser. If it needed eraser is available, we can just go with it or a regular eraser. And my first layer of this is done. Secondly, just increasing my value, so we need to add a bit of color pigment to this. And on the top here, I'm just going to put up with the paint. And we need to beautifully blend the colors. So to make more pigmented, we need to add more paint on here. And on the corners, we want to add a little vein on the petal. We can just go with a small strokes a small hair sized. So if we want to add little detailings over the petal, we can just go with a lesser size of brush. And that's it. So this is just a praticcession. And the color here I used is going to be with the rose. And for the leaves and the stem, we're just going to activate with a bit of teal green. And again, with yellow green. So these are the colors we need. And finally, with tree green. So these are the colors, and let's get into the painting main project, and I'll be meeting you there. 4. Project 1: Now in one of my paper, I have just taped on all the four sides to hold it sturdy. So with a pencil, pre sharpened one, I'm just going to make a spacing as we did in the previous technic session. So we are just going to make it the height from here to here. So we need to fill within this. So for making the rows, I'm just going to take a midpoint, so that's going to be on here. And in this place, I'm just going to make a little seekers sweet it before. So even that in a lighter way. And secondly, it gets a bit increased in size. So making it a little faster. It mostly goes only with the curse. And from here, just filling up with the depth. This is adding on with the third layers and showing up the petals curse. So this is building up with the fourth layer, so it goes a little larger curves. It feels a little hard when you try for the first time, but when we just go with the techniques, it'll be easy. This is the overall process of making the top petal. Next is just a simple step of grating with the bottom, and I'm just going to add here with the stem. After making with a sketch next processes with eraser, we need to just lift off all the blackness, the pencil blackness, so the paint will not mix up with the pencil lead. We need just a little layout left, not to erase the whole thing. This blackness should not be visible to a viewer's eye, but it can be for artist to make a supporting work phone painting. So you can see it has, like, a very lightest range of the shade. And next is going to be get ready with a paint, rouse. So with this, I'm just going to mix up a lighter paint in the palette. So with this color, I'm just going to make a complete vase layer. I have added just only with the first base layer using rose paint. I'm just going to increase the value, so we need to take a bit of pigment and adding it to the water to the base color. Now we have a little increase in the value. So with that, I'm just going to make it the outer side. So we need a little more patients to make this. You're just making with the highlights to the outlines that we previously with the pencil and just darkening with the second value or wherever it's dark. I'll be adding you with the picture on the side, the reference picture. So you can just go with that. And So finally done with the second layer, and next is adding a bit more colors for the third layer. So just adding a bit more pigment and increasing the value. So here I'm just taking a bit of piral crimson two. And with the rose, the increased pigment section, just add on the colors very slowly, not too or. Just here, I'm adding a bit of paint onto that, I'm just going to blend the color here. But first processes like we need to add the pigments wherever necessary. Blending with the colors and the empty space, but we should not pull off all the color the darkness from the high pigmented areas. We need to just blend it with the damp brush. So the first layer of making the petals is over, and next is going to be making with the base portion. So we need the tree green, medium green and yellow green from this. So with this palo green, adding the base layer, This is value scale very least in the scale. So we are just wetting it and leaving the white space for the vein in the stem, covering all the areas around. Now, next is with the yellow green, activating that color and slowly just moving on. And tree green finally. With a tree green or live if tree green is not there. So that's it. We are done with the rose painting, the very first painting, and next is going to be with the second techniques and second painting main project. I re meeting you there. So if you're done with this picture, just post it in the project station completion area so that I could review all your works done and I'm expecting for your works. 5. Techniques and Color Palette- 2: We are in the second session for learning with the color palette and the techniques to make a ring. So it's a couple ring, and we're going to make with two dimensions. So it's not very flat or it's not vertical. So we're going to make with the layer one. So it's like one ring is on the base and the other ring is on slanting over that. So to make that, we need to build up with the oval shape of ring. So this is how it looks for the base of one single ring And next is going to be with This is how three D offering that slanting looks meant to build with the inner side. And the one on the top layer over here is in this direction. So it's in this direction. We need to erase up with the inner side. That's it. And here is with the shadow portion of the ring. So these are shadows. So this is just a technique session and I'm making it a little not that pretty one. So we need to learn wly the technique here. I'm not focusing on the beauty. These are shadows of object and light is from this direction. And the color palette here for the ring is going to be with rose again. So we need to get ready with a bit of violet. So it is Magnes violet. And to this, we're going to add a bit of rose next is making with the lightest shade of brown and earth low. So make sure of these. And to this, we need to add with a bit of pins gray just mixing up the colors and a bit of burnt umber. So this is just a simple technique to make the second project, and we're already with the color palette. And let's jump on with the second project, and we're meeting you there. 6. Project 2: Here to make with the ring, I have placed my paper a little tilted to the horizontal, so it takes a good lager space. Now we are just going to make with the surface here. I'll attach the picture on the side for the reference. So this is the surface. You need to again make this with imaginary work, not so dark. And now with this, we are just going to place with the ring. So the first ring, it's like on this side. It's exactly like this way. And the second ring is, like, placed on this area. Overlapped. Now, for the first ring, we're just going to make with the oval in a slow motion moving over the paper, we need to just bring up the shape. And to this on the side, I'm just going to elevate with the dimension to look it very really realistic. Just parallel to this line. You need to increase there. To this parallel line, I'm just building another curve to show the realisticness. Now, to show the depth on the other side, from here, I'm just marking a point to this place, the ending point. So this is starting on the ending point, and we need to build up the inner side. Now, we just going to erase with all the unnecessary things that's unnecessary lines, clearing all up. All the guiding lines. It's not necessary after a makeup perfect ring. Now, we have to build up with the second ring placement. That's like it's placed over on this side from here. So it starts from this place. Okay. Now to the opposite side from here, just starting and need to end here. Now clearing up with the lines. So this is on the top, and the base will not be visible. So you need to clear with the base ring lines. Also all the unnecessary guiding lines here. That's it. So we need to just make with a lighter version. But here, the colors where we are going to use are not that lighter colors. So we are just going to make with the shades of Magnes violet, rose, bunch earth and pines gray and burn tumber which all little darker in the shades. So we need to want to erase this thing, taking on with the paints, get ready with that. Now just wrap it with the dioxin violet or dark violet. Moving on the color this way. Just making a base layer of magnes violet. And to the other side. Dioxin wallad. I'm just adding here for differentiating with the shadow portion. You can just refer to the colors on the picture added above. Here and there, I'm just leaving with a little space to make the highlights and the dark portions are on here. All these are done with dark violet or dioxin violet. So in case if you don't have the dioxin let, just go up with dark violet and a bit of dark violet again to move on this place. More shadows to the base. I should look much darker. And to this adding a bit of rose. To the other side, I'm just going to mix with a base layer using earth, a very light wash. The top, I'm adding with a bit of burn tumber just making all around. And making a bit wet with the same color and going over here. On the other side here with the same color, just going very lightly to show the dual tone colors. Just adding on more layers and a bit of violet too. So the colors, it should be done on wet on wet. For just adding up the reflections, cleaning my brush, just removing a bit of color with a wet brush and just wiping the colors ces on the tissue. Just adding a wet brush layer. So the colors will plant. So this is just coloring of the rings or done and not yet with the shadows. So filling again with the dark violet on here. Next with more brown, the burnt umber, adding on the colors here. And with the same brown just going over here for the additional layer to darken it and differentiate with the previous laying the base ring. A bit of pin gray. Then finally, over to this, I'm just taking my Earth love, adding a light wash of it. So to this, we need to add with the shadow. So the detailing is a little layering process. We need to keep on changing with the colors to add the depth and realisticness. So next to make with the shadow portion, I have my pines gray, so this is the pines gray, and not that much of color is added, with a very light wash of first layer, I'm making the shadow. To the very next of the ring, we need to split up. So to partition, I'm adding value the increasing value here of wine spray. Starting from here. And taking a bit of violet for reflection of shadow. But it's not actually with the violet, we're just making the base layer of pine scree first. And over to that, I'm just adding a bit of violet to the second ring. Starting it so narrow and broadening it. So the shadow gets connected here. This is the second project and we are done with it. Finally, just to make with the additional highlights and detailings, I'm taking a bit of the sepia, the darkest of the brown. Moving on to this these are with the Sepia. Slowly, we can just peel off all the sides and our second card is ready. So it can just put up with a frame or present to the loved ones or friends, anyone. It's completely our choice. Practice for the tutorials. We're working on one theme and just building up, learning more painting works based on one single thing. So I'll be meeting with the third mind project and technics session upcoming next. 7. Techniques and Color Palette - 3: Here in making with the third main project, and we're going to discuss about techniques and color palette here. So it's based on a chocolate theme for the third day of Valentine's Week. So here, we're just going to make with lollipop in heart shape, also a cookie in a heart shape. So basically, we need to add with a heart on everywhere, but we need to look like how we can build up. So it's again, like a placement of the sticks chalky like this. So we're going to make a stick parle and beautiful. We need to make this, and the other one is like overlapped on here. So it's just a simple thing making it without any usage of ruler and pencil should be sharp. Go with a free hand. And from here, just leaving this stick little on the top, we need to start making our heart on here. This depth should be exactly straight to the stick. Here comes again with the same pinging. Okay. Just marking up with above. So this is how basic stick looks. And next is adding up with the highlights, I'm just going to mark a bit of white here. So this is a safe zone so that we could remember that this is a highlight So next is with a cookie, and that's going to be a bit like this heart shape. Making a dual heart shape. And over this, it just going to add a roast flavor, so it's going to be with a bud. So I have just added one single sample. And in the main project, we're going to make with two different colors and flavors, and two little hearts will be added in the base. So next jumping with the color palette. As the heart theme, it goes mostly with the shades of red and rose, pink, all the shades. I'm just going to pick up my rose. So under this, we are just going to have our scale. So as we learned in the previous classes, we're going to make values, so it's going to be with a pigment richness. It depends on that. And next is with the other color Pyl crimson for making the rose, but here to make this, we're going to use our pyrrole crimson. So this pigment or rich, the brand I use. And even with this pile crimson, it goes with the values. So just making with one single value and adding a bit of paint to increase same way again and again, increasing the value. Next is, like, we are going to make with a cookie base. So for that, we'll be kneading earth low. So this is a lighter version, actual pigment of an earth o. And to lighter it, we can just make earth low and a bit of white mixed together. So just washing my brush to take the white and again, activating it. So this is earth low and white mix for the base of cookie. And to this, we can add a bit of orange or cadmium low medium hue. To bring a more peachy work. And next is, like, we are just going to make with yellow green. Next is with the pines gray to add with the shadows. So we're going to use more lighter value for this. Like, we're going to mix up with the Pines gray, and to that, adding a bit of sepia just a bit and burn timber, the brown shades to make the other portion of shadow, the other color tomb. So even this works fine. But these are the colors we are going to make use of the third main project, chocolate and get ready with your color palette. So here are the color names and get ready with all your color palette and we can just move on to the main project, and I'll be seeing you there. Bye bye. 8. Project 3 - Part 1: Here we are set up with our thermin project and ready for that. And here, I'm just going to, as we practice in the technique session, just going to build up with the lollipops, just two and two cookies, everything placed in some different directions. So we're going to make alignment, the placement measurements. So here, it's like the first one is going to be on this place. It's like this. So just going in a lighter manner so that we could build up after this if we feel it's right or if it's wrong, we need to erase it. And secondly, it's going to be on here. A bit tilted this way. So these are the two placements, and next is with two hard placing on this slide. So first, I'm just going to make a proper stick, adding a line parallel to the previously done. Our next is from this place. We need to leave a bit of cap on the top, leaving it here, starting on this point. This is the first one and secondly on here. I have just added the picture on the side so you can just feel easy to take that as a reference and make it. I'm going a little faster as we have practiced better with the technic session. This is the first and we're going to make the highlights a little later. The second bow is going to be in this place. So we are perfectly done with the bows. Next, just adding a little hard pieces in the base. So here we the cookie, and you can just make a larger portion of this On outer to this, we need to add a parallel layer of heart shape. So without confident in making exact shape, if you don't want to move onto the main project, just practice separately in some rough space and get back to the main project. This is a small request to build up the skill. Next one is going to be a little tilted. So next is, like, adding on a bud, as it goes with a flavor of rose. Now, the sketching part is done next is like we are going to remove all the unnecessaries. So I have double lines on here, just removing that and slowly erasing all the darkness. So if you have needed eraser, we can go with that. It's dust free and so good to use. So as we discussed in the previous recording, with a color palette, we had our rose, so just activating my rose with the water. And for making this, I'm just going to add a base layer using only the rose color. So we need to go with a lighter value for this not too pigmented slowly just moving around without making the paint come out of the object. I have just covered a playing with a first base layer of rose. So it's going to be a little lighter version. And over this, I'm going to take my red. So with this red color, again, it's not too pigmented and we need to go with a value scale remembrance. So it's a little lighter version in the red, so it could be with this stage. We need equal parts of water and a little amount of paint, not that too dark. Now to this, I'm going to go around slowly. We can go with a lighter wash over the stick too as we want to make it look like it's in the candy. So this is the base layer. And to this, additionally, I'm going to increase a bit in a value scale, adding a little pigment to the previous stage of color. So with this, we need to make up with a brightness, increasing the tone on here. So just leaving the little portion on top, we need to move around taking more red showing the depth of the stick adding a little bubble structures and blending the color. Adding little amount of pines gray mix to show the depth of the color. And and to this, we're going to add a bubble shape, so just using the tip of my brush. Moving around here, small with the circles, small circles here and there. To this, we're going to make the bow using again with the red color. So good, brilliant red. The tip. Painting exact shape. Layering again with the bright red. And to the corners of the bow, I'm just adding the pines gray and red mixture. So we are done with the top red words. And next is adding with the highlights. So I'm just activating my guash. It should be creamy, thick, not too watery. And with that, on the top, just going with the highlights exactly to the shade. I'm going to extend making with just pin gray mix, pin gray and the brown mix to create the shadow and the paint here, you can see it's little watery aw value scale. And steak to this is here. We should not fill inside the stick, and we need to just move to the outline outwards for the steak. And to the other side, I'm just making it a little watery and flat. So this is the very base of making with the candy. And this candy is an assignment for you to complete. It's going to be a task. And I'm going to make this small one, adding with the base layer of bread Now with little browns, just adding it on here. And going with a red layer on top. Paste, again, we need to add a very watery mixture of shadow using bun tumber sepia and the pine gray eggs. And after this it's spread. I'm just going to remove the color by using the damp brush and wiping it in the tissue to spread it over red again activating with the white gouache, just going around on the top. That's it. And again with red, leaving the whites just moving on. Now, here the task is like, take it as a challenge to complete a candy pig or a candy van and a small one using the same techniques and color palette, and we can make this two in Part two. I'll be meeting you there. 9. Project 3 - Part 2: Here for making the second one, I have my color ready. That's Earth hello. Just making a light wash of Earth hello. Before that, it's a little bit with more darkness of pencil. So I'm just going to arraase Just applying the colors inside. Making it for the second one. This is just a base layer and not to pigmental To this inside, I'm just going to add with lighter rose, the base shape. And to the other one, I'm adding with pyrrol crimson. Again, with good amount of pyrrol crimson, just filling here. This is a little higher in the value. Applying with a third layer, a bit more darker. Now to this, I'm adding in the base one with a rose. Here for the base one, this side is going to be a little lighter and again, taking a bit of rose and just adding the color only on this side. So it's going to be a bit darker. And a bit on here. That's it with the color application. And next to add the base here. I'm taking my burnt sienna and mixing it with the earth love, moving on here, taking a bit more burnt tumberT look it little roasted and crispy. And again, on here, this side, it's going to be in the base. On showing the depth to make the filling in the middle embost. You need to create a shadow portion just around this. Now, taking CPR to add the details, I need to use step here. I'm adding more details. Again with the CPR for the base one. So Sepia works are done. Next is adding with the flavor. So I'm just going to make rose petal, so just activating with the rose, and just dabbing it here and there to show look like a petal Ti on the top, only on the bottom one. And again here with the pyl crimson for adding the darkness. A minute dots here and there. Just working on the butt. Just taking good pigment. With a green So my green is like it reached the top of the rose, cleaning it up with a damp brush and just again adding a good amount of pyro grimson. That's it. Now, next, ask adding the base sepia, the shadow portion. So to the sepia, I'm just going to mix with the pine spray and working on here. Now to her base here, I'm going to add a bit more water. Differentiating it with the surface. Is cleaning my brush well and with a damp brush, again, just allowing it to blend with the paper. So that's it. You are done successfully with our third project, the candies, Chocolates. So next upcoming projects little interesting one with ever loved one all over. So that's going to be Teddy, and I'll be meeting you there. 10. Techniques and Color Palette - 4: Here in the fourth project techniques, we're going to make learnings of Teddy, like how to build up with a bear. And we're just going to make a pair of bears. So it's not going to be in practice session, we're just going to practice with one single thing. So let's get hands on that. First, making for the face, it's going to be a bit oval. So it's horizontally oval like this. At the top, it goes with good furry ears. You need to make parallel positions for it. Next is going to be with mouth portion. It's going to be again oval, but it should not be that big making the nose. Just keeping with eyeballs. So eyeballs, it's like a little distant. I'm going to make it a little closer. This much closer. Next is making with the hands, the body portion. So this is how cherry look. And with the hands. So we can make some detailing works here if needed. So it's just a single one, and we're going to make with the colorings or the color palette is going to be. It's going to be burnt umber, a lighter shade of burnt tumber and burnt ocher if needed. The dark brown to add with the details and a bit of orange cadmium orange to make for the face. So this is for just one single theory, and the other one is going to be with a pines gray. So it's going to be a value scale of pine gray. And finally, for the heart, I'm just going to add with red. And again, for dark potions, just adding with piral crimson. So this is going to be the color palette for making the fourth project. We're just going to elevate with the pairs of Teddy holding a heart for the theme. So let's get started and get ready with your ASIx sheets and the color palette for this project. 11. Project 4 - Part 1: Now in the main project to start with this making a pair of teddy, I'm ready with MIA six sheet fixed. So firstly, I'm just going to make a center portion and just add with a heart. So it's going to be a little stride So the middle point should be in a axial line. So this is how I have made my heart. And to this, make a face of Teddy. It's exactly to the center of this portion. So from here, it's going to be need to make with this much bigger face. You can just go easily making with a reference to the side. Making a shape only in the air so that we can get a good shape exactly as it is we want. Now just easing up the unwanted Here, it's like the next phase, the teddy space is going to be at this place. So to just show up with the flat texture, I'm just adding a little dotted box, not a flat straight line. And to this, we need to build up with ears. So these two ears are like so close. And one on here. This is with the ears. Next is, like, its face or little tilted towards, like, focusing the heart. So it's like turned out to the middle. So the mouth portion is going to be exactly on here. Again, just building up without shape first. Not to the top on here, we need to add with a cute little nose. I should be a little closer to the mouth area. So we are done with the face. Next is going to be hands holding the heart together. We need to build up hands it's very pretty easy. The other hand of this study is going to be exactly straight. So we need to make an alignment from the top and mark a point here and from the base, we need to mark another point here. So erasing the heart because the hand portion is located in the front, so we cannot see the object behind. We need to erase the unwanted lines of heart. Next to build up with the base portion of the body. In the center here, we can just build up with the lines for making Teddy's legs. And in the center here just adding a little curve. Then for this one, it's going to be the surface of lex. The basement of the leg is going to be same as the previously done one, increasing the height to the same length and leaving a bit gap. So that's it with a sketch. Next is with the coloring path, and we can just jump into the part two episode to make the coloring work. 12. Project 4 - Part 2: As a starting point, the first base layer is going to be with the burnt sienna, and we're going to activate it with good amount of water to make a light base layer and paint it all over for the very first study. Cleaning my brush with water and just taking a bit of red to add the base of heart. So by the time, the color for the teddy base layer should get dry. And for the other one, we need to activate with the pins gray, making a light wash of this The colors are settling down in both the bears. Now we need to add with the tone, so we need to increase the value, going back to burnt sienna with a little pigment increased and not going to be a lighter value. We need to blend with the damp brush or evenly the previous dark color like this, taking a bit of burn sila and adding to the base of the legs. Next one tumber the dark brown. Painting it all areas that's little heathen to make a spot a visible spot. I'm just going to mix a bit of orange to this. Just tilting my brush to blend the color with the same. So we need to add a bit of colours and just wetting my brush, cleaning my brush. Now, with a damp brush, blending the colors. I evenly spreading with the second layer of browns and taking a bit of burn tumbo here. That's it. So let the previous painted layer completely dry just adding a bit of oranges to the top here. So next is with the pines gray here, taking good amount of pins gray. With good value, need to add the dark tone here. Even on this side, the dark value is like it's enough to be added on the face one. This much is okay, and I have cleaned up my brush. So with this wet brush, I'm just going to evenly spread the color so that the darker area will blend perfectly with the lighter ones. We don't want the colors to stand out. We need a beautiful blending. Same way for the years here. And again, with the pine gray, you need to move onto the base. You need much more patience to add the colors and layers to build up the originality. Now, just washing my brush with a damp wet one. We need to blend the colour. Now, the second one is completely done. Next is adding up with blacks. So we need a good dry brush, so it should be like wetter a bit. So it should not hold any water that much water. I'm just going to take my black small amount of black. And if the portion we painted previously is completely dry, we can work over it. If it's not the black may spread over the browns and will produce a little nasty look. So we need a little time to make it dry. And even for here, we're just going to add a very light outline, painting it inside. And here we need to make with a beautiful little eyes. That's it with a teddy. And we can just add up with the hairlines here for the ears. We can either do this outlining works with a black watercolor or we can just go with a very fine liner, so it could be with 0.05 Neb. I need to make an outline for this brown teddy or we can just go using with burn temper or sepia to make a darkest look for outline using over the brown teddy. And next is like we're going to use the red. Sticking my red. Now, same way, we're just going to with the same red, I'm just going to add a bit of hearts here and there. If we have, like, more ideas to add with some kind of flowers around, you can just go with that. And we can also make a little watery work of brown and sprinkle here and there. And with the gray on the other side. I'll look more beautiful. So that's it with the fourth project, and I hope you will have this. If you're done with all the projects, you can just submit your work sections all in the products submission area so that I could remove your work. 13. Project 5: Here, starting with the fifth project, we're going to meet with two flamingos standing together. And here are the colors needed like the pink next color needed is going to be with the pyro crimson. The final color is going to be with the black. So this is a simple color color for making the flaming goes. And here to make this, I'm just going to not use with the sketch. We're directly going to paint with the more brush we have. So firstly, we need to activate with a pink. So with this pink, I'm just going to make it on this side. I'm going to add a bit of white over. So we're done with the body simply. Un next from here, we need to add on with the curves. Very carefully, we need to build so we can make a rough imaginary curve first so it goes right here and This is how we are building for the flamingos, the neck. And next is going to be again with a light mixture of white to the rose. So if you're directly having a lighter version of the rose, you can just go with that. And on this side opposite, I'm simply just going to build up with the body taking a bit of rose, taking a bit of rose. So this is a basic structure for the body. And next with the pyalGrimson here, I'm just going to mix up with the previous color. And to this, we are going to build up for the legs. So one leg is like a little more straight here starts here. We need to hold our brush upright. On the second one, it starts exactly on here. You need to cut it on this place. Like this. King activating with the pyrol crimson. You need to make legs. So here the legs are straight. Next is we're going to activate a good amount of rose with my brush, I'm going to dab it here in the base. Now to this, we're just going to take a black and we need to add it on here. Same way at this side. Now, with a little amount of white, so it could be gouache because the watercolor white may not work. Just adding it here. Good amount of black to make a small little dot for ice. We are done. And next is adding up with a heart. So that could be we can just go with pyrocrimson or just rose or lighter version of the shed of rose. We can go with a pink, any colors We are done with the fifth project and we are just left with one more project. We're going to make it in the upcoming class and get ready for that. 14. Techniques and Color Palette - 6: This is going to be our last project and just go with a color palette. We're going to make a couple and a big two heart shaped balloons. And for that, I'm just going to take my Prussian blue, activating it properly. So this is the Prussian blue. Our next is going to be with the Talblue And to the paler blue, I'm just going to add up a bit of pins gray. To increase in the value, we can just go with adding a bit more pins gray to the same mixture. So these are the color ranges of blue. Next is red. So values in red. And for the hair, we're just going to make with Sienna and with burn timber and burn talkker. So burn timber will be enough and black if needed. These are the colors needed for making our main project, the last main project, and get ready with the color palette, all the colors purely mixed so that we could make it a little undisturbed. So yeah, let's get started. Get ready with your pencil and paper. 15. Project 6: Just got ready with my paper taped. And here to start with a couple. We need a pencil shaft, going on a base surface. Make an imaginary line. And from here, we need to build a couple, so it could be with this much height. Both of standing till this place. And we need a mid portion, so that could be the middle point here. Now, to draw this, I'm just going to make a split of we can start from alignment. So this is with a costume of a girl. This is going to be a costume. Not the baseline, it's going to be with the top line. And from here, it's going to be with the neck portion, and this is going to be the head. So just making a little sample layer alignment. And for the boy, it's going to be again for the costume. The jacket is just a little above the girl's one here, and it's a little high for the collar. And just a small lift for the neck finally with the face tilted above. So this is a basic. Even the girls is a little bit tilted. So this is the basic of alignment. Now we need to build up with the tress, so it's going to be from here. Both hands are holding together. And with a stool on the top, finishing up with the girls jacket. So it extends still on this point. Here comes the hand. So both hands collected together. This is the front portion of a girl. And from here, we need to build up with the boy. So it splits on here. For the hand, And from just building up with the collar work. The finishing line of a jacket is at this point, exactly sight. From this place is like we need to extend for the legs. Here for the legs. We need to show this a bit splitter. And for the face elevation, we need to just build up with the hair line first. And this portion is going to be making with a neck portion and a face bit tilted. Let's keep this simple. Adding with the hair lines. Next for the guy, it's going to be with neck portion and the jaw line. Now, from here, we're just going to meet with the balloons. Second one from here. We need to erase up with all the blackness. Here we are just going to make a backdrop using Prussian blue. Next we to be with the painting session. Slightly tapping here with a Prussian blue, amount of water so the colors spread, flow together. Just with the background. Following to this, we need to activate with the Talo blue a bit and just adding it in the base as a surface and adding a bit of pin gray to Taloblue mix. Also with good amount of Russian blue. And a bit of grass effects just with tip of our brush. So it's simply done. And next is, like, activating our edge. It's like, well blended with the water on a low value scale and putting it here and there for the background again without disturbing the pressure in blue. Cleaning of my brush, flattening. Now, next process is like we need to make it for the person. So here, I'm just going to take my bread again to make it for the jacket. And just going with a bit of pyrrol crimson to make it look like a shadow portion. He's making a bit in the front with a pyro crimson. Or you can just go with a mix of a little brown shade to the red to make it muted, so unsaturated. Again, just going with the red color for the jacket here. Now, I have my wet brush, just a clean wet brush, and with that, just lifting up the colors and wiping it in the tissue. You can see just lift the colors to make it pale. So as soon as this gets dry, we can just move on making that portion behind. So in the base here for the pants, I'm just going to add up yo blue and the pine spray mix. And again, just activating the same color to make it for the guys work on here. To darken it up, we can add a bit of pin spray and Thilo blue mix together and go with the second layer here. Now, again with the Telublue we are going to make it for the guy the boy's jacket, picking up Telublue Same way as we did for the girl. We're just going to make it on this portion. The light shape we can just make it for the hand and cleaning up my brush. Now, with just a bit of pins gray or Prussian blue. So we can just go with a Prussian blue and differentiating it behind. Now, cleaning my removing my colors extra colors from the hand portion to distinguish from the jacket. Just taking a bit of pins gray, adding the color just behind the hand. H. Now we can just clean our brush and remove the color slowly. So it should be a gentle clean. Again, adding a Toblue a second layer, just leaving the hand, cleaning the brush. So we need to make To blue and a gray mix Yeah. Secondly, we are just going to add with a bit of Earth low mix and orange mix for skin tune, we can just go with neck potion and face. Similarly for the bowie. I shouldn't be that detail. We can make it for the hands. Now to this, we need to make with the balloon on the top. Now, I go with the red. Just going with second layer. Now, after this step, we can just take a bit of black and remove all the water from the brush. So with this, we can just fill up with the lime. We can just go with any random color. And here for just completing with a high portion, I'm using my Sepia, the darkest of brown or burn timber. So to that we are just adding with the base layer color. Unto this, we can just take a bit of burnt ocher. Allow this to dry. Meanwhile, we can just activate the red in good amount and add a bit of hard element around in different sizes. Not to this, we can just make a light wash of red and sprinkle here and there around. Time to take the black color. So using black, I'm just going to make it for the hair portion. Making stroke effect to make effect of hair strench. That's it. Our painting is over. We're done with the last main project, too. And if you're done with this, just please submit it in the project submission area so that I could review that. And yeah, we'll meet in the wrap up session by 16. Wrap up!: Here we have completed successfully with themed project session, completed six main projects. So it started with a beautiful rose try and we learned with techniques and color palette for this to draw a rose the couple ring secondly. So we did that too. Next with the candies. So we beautifully just learned on how we can just make a glossy effect using the candies reference, and next with a teddy so we went on making with a teddy bear here. And final two projects were so easy to construct. So that was one with a flamingo, the other one with a par here. So we just completed these many pictures. Hope you enjoyed this lesson and felt useful to learn a new technique in your art journey. So if you felt so happy working with Artist Castle by Sri I recommend you to upload the completed project sessions to the assignment projects submission area so that I could review all your works, and I feel motivated to make more upcoming projects in Skillshare. So happy Valentine's. Thank you.
