1. Introduction: Hi, everyone. Welcome to this class on painting elegant necklaces in Procreate. My name is Yasar, and in this class, I will guide you step by step through creating a beautiful and detailed necklace illustration. We will begin with simple sketch to build the structure and shape. Then move on to adding colors, metallic effects, and gemstone details. You will learn how to create shine, reflections and highlights to make your jealry look realistic and eye catching. I will also share helpful Procreate tips and brush techniques to achieve clean lines and policit finish. This class is perfect for beginners. But even if you have some experience, you will learn new techniques to improve your digital illustration skills. By the end of this class, you will have your own stylish necklace illustrations ready to share or add to your portfolio. All you need is Procreate and iPad and your creativity. Let's get started. 2. Painting Base Color : Welcome. In this class, we will paint red and shiny gum. And at first, start with the base color of the canvas. Then open new layers and use black color and try to create the base color of the a necklace. For example, I want to make eye teardrop shape for the base, and I will continue and create the base layer like this and open another new layer. Then this time, before we paint the details, I will put the corner details like for example, the have some artistic features like the ornaments, like the frame with the idle and detailed look for our gam. And with this detail, I will add small but effective details that will bring our illustration much more interesting and realistic detail. For example, have some shape here like this and this. And after this, duplicate this layer and with the selection tool, flip horizontal and move it to the other parts. So the background now is shaped, much more interesting and go to the layers and pinch your two fingers at each other and make them layer one. And after this open new layer and with the red color, continue to adding the tail. At this part, I will add this shape here like this and will hold my uh, 1 second. Again, I will create the mass like this, and I will paint it to the red. And next part, I will continue to add details over it. Thank you. 3. Adding Lights: Hi. In this part, I will show you how to add details to the gam. So for your gam, just select the base color and create some different kind of brush rocks over your illustration to keep the balance between the colors and add some dipped into the jab. So please add these details like this quickly and you can be spontaneous. And after this step, we will continue to create many deepness into this gam. And I will continue to add some extra steps here. And in the next steps, we will continue to add much more deep and highlights over the gam. So you can put also some highlights over the gam just like this and see you in the next part. 4. Adding Details: Welcome again. In this part, I will add detail over the background. So select the background color and tap the layer and select Alpha o, then go to the colors and select some dark gray color and continue to edding details over the edge. With this option, your brush will only affect the painting area. So other areas will stay same. And I will add these details by adding some middle tones over the game just like this, and it is looking really great. And after this, I will open another new layer with much more a lighter gray, and I will add these small details as reflections over the neck lace. So these details will be really, really light, and this part also will be really light. And this part, this part, this part. I'm adding extra details over these parts to make the necklace much more realistic and shiny. Because also the frame is not flat, so it needs to have the texture its own. So sometimes you can use red color for give reflections over the edge. So it will look like shiny and reflective. And after this point, open another new layer and put the neck lace rope, and I will use this like this, and it will look like this. But after doing it, select the background color and add the details like this to the middle. And with this way, your line will look like chain. You can dilate these lidel corners to make it much more even better. But it is depending on your choice. It is beginner friendly, so I will just add some ellipse over here to create the necklace. And this part and this part will be like this, and, yeah, it is looking really great. And yeah, thank you. And in the next part, we will continue to adding details. 5. Adding Micro Details: Welcome again. In this part, we will increase the tail level of the gum. So select much more darker color for adding the shadows and use it for adding really dark places over the gum. But don't overuse it, but just add some dipped at some corners of the gum for create the realism illusion. We need really dark parts for our gum. So these parts will be really, really, really dark, and I will increase the tail level by adding these darks. So after it, I will select lighter color and we'll put this reflection much more realistic and soft touch here for give it a really vibrant and realistic look just like this. Add some highlights over the gem and it will bring really great realism over the illustration. But again, as I say, don't overuse it, try to use it in some specific places like always imagine like which place is touching the light most, so it will be better for the tails. And thank you. And in the next parts, we will continue to add details. But before it, I will add some lights here just like this and thank you. 6. Final Details : Welcome. In this part, we will continue to detailing the illustration. So I will open another new layer and dive into details and we'll put some white details that bring the neck lace much more alive. And I will continue to create the texture over the illustration with minimal highlights that brings the realism into this necklace. And I will create the necklace detail just like this with small and effective details. And for corners, you can open some corners such as these details of the corner, and it will bring really great realism into your illustration because we need some blank spaces to increase the detail level, and I will increase this part, this part and this part. And I will add much more sharp and effectively details over the illustration for create the realism. And now I will select red color, and I will apply over here, just like this for make my necklace much more shiny and effective. And this time, I will use much more like a sharp edge brush to create the texture for the necklace. So I will continue to add these details just like this and will increase the detail level of the necklace and especially these parts can be much more textures. We need to see some light touch effects here. And for middle, I will use pure white at the most light area and we'll add some highlights just like this. With adding these small details, my necklace will look much more detailed. And let's keep adding details together, and maybe these parts will be like this and these parts will be open, and these parts will be open. And I'm adding negative space over the borders, and it will make our illustration look much more realistic and effective. And I will continue to painting this rope just like this. And let's add much more small details over here, just like this to create realism even better, and just like this and go to the layers and collect all layers, then go to the adjustments and hue saturation. Then add a bit much more saturation and from curves, I will make it much more sharp. And from the chromatic abrication You can add some extra colors over your illustration just like this. But don't overdo it because it will look your painting much more glitch it. So select noise and add a bit much noise for create the texture over your necklace and hope you enjoy this lesson. And at last, I will go to the luminans and I will add flaers to here, and I will finish this illustration. Hope you enjoy this lesson, and I can't wait for show you much more in the next lessons and see you and thank you for joining me in this class. And I'm just trying to put some extra shiny details over here and thank you. 7. Painting Base Colors - Butterfly Necklace: Welcome. In this class, we will paint butterfly necklace. At first, start with putting the gray scale over the background as usual and open another new layer. The select a very smooth line. You can use any sketch brush for this step, and we will start to sketching our necklace. So I will start with from the middle of the necklace, and I will paint the details of the butterfly just like this. And just like this, I'm adding the tails of the butterfly, and it is just a sketch, so I will make it much more interesting later. And I open another new layer, and this time, I will start from this corner, like middle and I will divide middle to two, just like this. And I will start sketching the one part of the butterfly. But it will be really clean sketch because it will be my also guideline. So I will make this part really clean and much more defined. So just like this. And for these wings, I will make the outline at first. And after outline, you can put the general details in it just like this. I don't know if you want to paint your butterfly wing like garden color or different kind of color. But in this class, I will make it garden with some transparent look like glitterally. So maybe head part will be really something like this. And yeah. And this part will go like this. So after it, delete background like sketch and duplicate layer and pip horizontal and move it to the other part. So with this option, you will create the butterfly's necklace look symmetrical if you painting symmetrical. So connect the layers and open another new layer under it. Now, I will select some golden color, and I will start with painting the middle of it. Just put the base color of it at first. And also at the wings, I will use the same color. I will paint with all areas with the simple colors just like this. And looking really great right now and I will continue to adding detail just like this. Yeah, it is looking really, really great right now with a simple solid color at the background. You can always dilate the extra parts of your necklace. So after this detail, I will delete this middle thing for my necklace because I don't want to make it visible. So I deleted it. And also, I will go to colors and will select really darker color for a metallic look. So I will add this color over here just like this. And this color will be something like this. And I will use much more vibrant color for make it look really shiny and golden. So this middle will be discolor and this corner will be discolor just like this. And after it, I will use really lighter color here for make it really, really metallic and javelr look. So for the wings, you can use the same tactic like using the orange tone and lighter color into it for catch much more metallic look. So it is shiny metal. So we will see some color switches and hues and dark hues of this color maybe like this. And I will use and continue to shading here. And these parts will be like this. And let's put orange again and maybe white, a bit yellowish white here. And I will continue doing this wings just like this. And four corners, you can use this orange color for create much more dipped into your necklace, just like this. And go to the sketch layer and change the layer mode to something else like overlay for make it less visible and use a razor and dilate some black parts if you see it really so 8. Adding Details to Butterfly Necklace: Wrong. So after this point, you can paint over sketch if you wish and create some dark hues and extra details that will make the illustration much more looking metallic. So overlay will burn the colors just like this and we'll add some sharp look over your illustration. You can use this technique for blend the colors, much more burn. And open another new layer at the top of it and continue to shading. Just like this, I'm adding the shadows here and here. And again, I will put shadows here, here. And here like this with these details, you can increase the realism of your illustration with adding much more extra colors over your work just like this. Put some shadows and blend it with light to create the metallic look of the butterfly. I will make it like this really sharp and colorful yeah, it's looking really great. And I will use really dark orange here for make this points texture much more visible, just like this. And like this, I'm adding the shadows of it. And yeah, it is looking really great right now, and this will look like this. And these parts will be something like this. And I will use this as an outline to make the outline much more visible and sharp because this edge control is also such as important as the illustrations itself for create the illustration, much more realistic look. So I will add these details just like this and like this, I will add this shiny rim light here, like it have this strong edge, and it is reflective. You can give it with the white color because it is really vibrant. And you can add this white as a light reflection at the most lighted areas, just like this. And I will add some extra colors here as a rope and I hope you enjoy this part and can't wait for show you much more in the next lessons. Thank you and see you in the next class. 9. Painting Golden Necklace: Welcome. In this part, we will paint a golden colored necklace. At first, go to the shape tool and select Ellipse tool, then select one ellipse like this holding with your two finger, then go to the layers and open another new layer. And paint it with the dark brown. So again, go to the layer and select Alpha Lock. Then after it, duplicate it and make it much more really small just like this and put it to the middle, then select white and dilate it. So after it, go to the layer two and select some lighter colors and continue to adding the tail with a bit much more lighter colors. You can use orange for this step and add some re brand the tails and select really lighter colors and apply over these parts just like this. And this place will be much more lighter. Yeah. And you can use much more lights at some parts. And after it, go to layer two and select darker brush and put the really dark point to the middle, just like this. And add some lights over here, just like this. And you can use different kind of color at the middle, but it is totally depending on your choice. So I will use just this color for maybe much more gum to the middle. And I will use really lighter color for shadows, just like this. Yeah, it is looking really great right now. And if there are discoteps, you can combine all layers and select warping, then you can put it here just like this and like this, you can play with the shape of the necklace. So you can be creative at this part, for example, with distort, you can make it look much more sharp like this or different size depending on your choice. And after it, you can add rope to your neck glace design. So you can be creative at these steps and try something interesting and hope you enjoy. And at the next steps, we will continue to build different kind of necklaces. Thank you. 10. Painting Shiny Necklace: Welcome. In this part, we will create a different necklace design. At first, I will start with the base colors of the necklace, but at first, just try to put the base colors. So this time, I will create some maybe some different shape like this, like natural stone, maybe like this. You know, some necklaces are made by natural stone, and it looks like really different colors and et cetera. And maybe like this. Yeah, something like this. And have something like this, like metallic detail here. These parts have connection between the rope and the rope and neck lace. So after it, all you need to do is adding details. So I will show you one technique. I will open another new layer at first, and I will make the shape much more visible and Alpha from the layer options. And I will add some details like this and open another new layer and this time, use really vibrant orange, just like this. If you are painting orange, after it, go to the adjustments and liquefy and select till we and apply over here and hold. Hold with your pencil and continue to creating it and hold. Yeah, after it, we have some shape like this. But we need to make it only affected to do layer two. So clipping mask, and here you go. We have really nice design over here and collect the layers. And after it, you can apply extra colors and shadows and lights over the necklace, just like this. And maybe we need to add more lights over here to combine it and make the corners much more even darker. And more dark at the corners, just like this. And yeah, it is looking really great. And I will add some highlights over this rob and here. Maybe these parts like this. And I hope you enjoy this part and can't fait for show you much more in the next lessons. Thank you.
