You’ll need:
- Watercolor paints

You can use whatever brands you have on hand, but I’ll walk you through the process with the materials I’m using in the class.

For this project, you’ll create your own festive Christmas card using watercolor and gouache! Whether you’re a beginner or just looking to add a personal touch to your holiday cards, this project will help you practice your new skills and design a beautiful, custom card to send to loved ones.
Steps to Complete the Project:
- Paint with watercolor: Use watercolor to create the base of your design. Start with light washes and build up the color gradually.
- Add gouache details: Once the watercolor layer is dry, add more opaque details with gouache to make your card pop.
- Add a message: Write a personalized holiday message or greeting on the card.
