into your thumbnails. I'm not the pot. Yeah. True.
3. 3. How To Navigate Canva & Use Templates: Okay, inside here is canva.com. And the easiest way
to do this inside of canva.com as vowels you as
soon as I would come in here, I would immediately
go over to templates because as you can
see on canva.com, they got all types of docs, whiteboards, YouTube
banners where we can be doing is YouTube thumbnails,
videos, and logos. So I will come over
here to templates. Inside template, I will come up here to this search prompt. I will type in what type of template that
I'm looking for. We're looking for YouTube
thumbnail template, so I will click YouTube
thumbnail templates. When you click YouTube
thumbnail template, you can either see on
this left-hand side how it has it segment. You can go here or you can
just scroll down and look and see which ones work for you. Great thing about us is that we already have a template
that we use here, a group EDI two, we have a save under
our brand templates. And what we're gonna do, we're going to
click Use Template. Now, this sample was made
before Canva even existed. This is on this proprietary
to group EDI too. If you want this template, we can have a file inside
of the description. We can click it, you
can download it, but this template
is specific to us. But like I said, you can find all types of templates
inside of Canva. So I highly suggest you
start off with a template. The first thing we
want to do when we start off with tables, we want to change
the title so we can make sure our
title is correct. So the title for this
one's going to be 50 Cent. Warned Drake of Vout. Little Wayne. Alright, so we have that. Good. Just a quick navigation
of Canva very fast. So as you can see up here, we have our menu bar, like you would have
in anywhere on any sort of document or
any sort of platform. One thing I always suggest doing under file as you go
to File, go here, go to View settings, Show rulers and guides, and make sure that's checked. And what that does is you see this ruler right here, right? That makes it easy for us was time for us to
align our texts. I'll make sure
that's clicked on. If you go over here to elements, anything you want to do, any sort of graphic art and he sort of emojis you
can type in and start for the elements that
might be an heir upload. This is for any sort of
photos or anything or videos. Do you want to bring
in for yourself? This is what I use,
primarily texts. When you want to
write your texts, use any sort of texts. Projects. I don't use this at all. Apps. This is for plugins
that are used inside of Canva to do whatever
you want Canvas to do. So go study and see what plugins are out
there because Canva has a lot of plugins that you
can use inside of the app.
4. 4. How To Add Custom Colors, Fonts & Logos: So what we'll do, will it
go back here to upload? No, I'm sorry. We're gonna go back up here
to text and assign it takes, as you can see right here,
you can see that this text is already a font that
might look familiar. You are familiar with
the group a to brand. You probably can see
our font right here, but the reason that
our font is already loaded because I
set the brand kit. So you can see it says
group EDI to media right here we have a button
right here that says Edit. If you want to change
your brand kit, I highly suggest you do
that. You click Edit. As you can see, we got our
logos as a society here. If I wanted to add a new one, I could click there,
say what the colors, all of our colors, any of the colors that we use
the side of Group at E two, if you want to add a
color, It's very easy. Click Plus, you can navigate the color
throughout the spectrum, or you could type to
color-code in right here. Let's delete this color to
make sure it's not in there. And fonts, no, Canva has a lot of fonts that
you might want to use. But in addition to that, there might be a font
that you find on Google. You can upload that
font right here. You can see the fonts
that we use here. So this is a great way to
have everything set for you. So once you come inside of Canva, you're just ready to go. You don't have to worry
about anything else when it comes to
preparing yourself, when it's time to
make your graphics.
5. 5. How To Add & Edit Text: This is all of our
texts is ready to go. What I'm gonna do is
I'm just going to start putting our texts
in here right now. So let's click this x and
we click Add heading. And what this does is
it brings up a textbox and already have a
pretty good idea for how we would do the title. So 50 cent worn Drake about little ways will
probably five textboxes. So let's click this
four more times, 4321 and only one more at the bottom for
the company branding, who's bringing us
all the way down. And I'll do group
A2, university.com. Just click that off. I can make a little bit smaller and grab the corner right there. Let's make it a little bit
smaller. By one of the center. It doesn't have to be
exact, but that's cool. And we got all five of these. Let's just kinda put them
in a place. Separate them. So we can know this
has edit texts. So $0.50 always do all caps. Whenever I'm doing thumbnails, I always do all caps. And I want specific subjects
to have their own line. Because I want to kind of get
a little bit creative with the coloring and the format is lot easier. Do it,
we do it like this. Okay? So now we have
all of our texts, but as you can see,
is on the line to super small and we want to
make sure everything's right. So remember I talked
earlier about going to file and view settings and show rulers and guides
is why you want to do this. So what do you want do is come over and you see this little, a little arrow right there, that two-sided arrow in the
middle rather than the ruler. We're going to click and
we're going to drag. And what this does is it
brings a ruler in here. And we're going to bring this
probably about right here. Now for any of y'all that, use Final Cut Pro or logic, or if you do any video
editing or music, you probably are familiar
with the snapping, turn Snapping, where
it can automatically like it's like a
magnetic timeline and brings things over. So that's what we're doing here. Who's going to make
sure that everything is aligned and what are we going to do is kinda start
making things bigger. Like I said, I'm
trying to take up as much space as I possibly can, so I know a little way it's
going to be right there. That about Reagan, bring this down just a little bit bigger. I know Drake's going to
be a word that we want to make sure it's
emphasized, it's huge. So that warned right here, as you can see, everything
is right on that line, which makes it really good. It makes it really easy. So worn, it's huge, it in 50 cent. Okay, alright. So as you can see, it's all aligned right here, but
it's still a little bit. All right, so let's kinda weird spacing is
a little bit off. So what I'm gonna do is I feel like there's too much of a gap between the letters and
the characters themselves. So as you can see, like the 5.0, so you had a big gap in between
there are like the C and the E or the E and the t. We can kind of squeeze that together. So we're going to do, when
I come up here again, I'm going to click
on this 50 cent. Wanted to click on
this menu right here where it says spacing. I'm going to click spacing. And as you can see, they got a letter spacing
and line spacing. Now watch what happens when I take this letter spacing tab. So yeah, like how
shrinks it together, I smush it together. And that's going to
save us some space. So let's get to like
negative, negative 50. That looks pretty
good. So let's make sure let's lock that in
for every single one. So we'll copy and paste for
all of these negative 50. There we go. So now we're going to move
it back over to the line. That happens sometimes starts
moving in weird directions about lane for us,
del, del, okay. Now we can do it. We can
start filling in the space. So let's make this
as big as we can. Alright, so I've got
that trach about, we've got a little way, okay. Now, this is starting to
get to where we wanted to be when it come down
here at the bottom. And we're going to
grab this Zoom right here so we can get
a better view. And this is probably how people are going to be looking
at your thumbnail anyway, so you wanna make sure you
are constantly worried. I mean, constantly
concern yourself with housing and look from a
distance and how big it is. So like I said, try to take
up as much space as you can. I'm getting a little
particular right here, but this is really
important to me. So okay. 50 cent Warren's
rake about Little Wayne. All right. I feel like that about
can be a little bit. Getting it be alright,
that's good enough. Okay, so next thing we wanna do is I want to
change the colors. So I think definitely want warned red,
because that's alert. So that means let's
make 50 cent or blue. Let's make Drake are blue. Single way in our blue.
We kept that red. What would it do
for the same Warren draggable little
white carpet, darker, a darker tone that we're going
for. That's not that bad. So okay, cool. So now as you can see, we got to texts done like
these hard texas does. So half of the thumbnail, this sidewalk right to texas dot
6. 6. How To Add & Edit Graphics: Now on this side,
what I do is I add graphics and I add our
logo and everything. So we're gonna go over here
to the upload section. And I'm going to
type in up here, just type in the word logo. And what's going to bring
up all the logos I've done. I'm going to grab this
group, any two logo right here at the bottom. I'm going to shrink it. And we are going to have our branding on
everything we do. And I'm bringing
this up right here. Like I said, if you
saw your media kit, you can put your logo in. It's already in there, but
I'm going to show you all how to upload photos and logos, anything right here in a
minute, so stay locked in. So now I'm starting
to get kind of a creative idea for how I
want to do this thumbnail. And I'm thinking about
in the background, I want a picture of
little weight and Drake together, the unhappy. And I want 50 in the foreground, like in your face, looking me in the camera, and that shouldn't
be that hard to do. So this is a great
hack for any biters is looking at images
is very easy to do. So what you wanna do
is you want to go to Google and you want to get the type of images
that you're looking for. So I wanted to write a
little way together. So Drake and Little
Wayne type in, Hi, oops, high quality PNG. That's what she wanted to do. That's a little hack and
he will come over to Google and click images. And as you can see, these are high-quality images that you can use inside of your Canva. Preferably you want
to get southern that has a background is
already removed. But if not, you got a pretty good chance
to find some good. And there's a lot
of stuff in here. Somebody has a
pretty good as cool, but I kind of liked this one because this is Buddy, buddy. Let's click this. And
once you click it, you see that this is also a
website a little way, HQ. We don't want to
save it from here. This is something that
can really mess you up. So make sure you do this. Right-click open
image in new tab. Drake calls little weight and greatest whatever
it says on top. Then right-click Save Image As. And now we're gonna save
image as Drake Little Wayne, going to add to our
desktop is now saved. When it comes back
here to Canva, we're going to click
Make sure on uploads. Women go to upload files,
are actually exits out. Go to Upload Files. Drake, Little Wayne, open. Now we can see it
is now uploading. It takes a little bit
like 3 s to send there. Click it, boom, now it's here. Now, this is a great image, but all these people in
the background on us, so we wanna get rid of
that in Canva makes it very easy to
remove backgrounds. All we got to do is make
sure the images highlighted. Go up here to Edit
image and click bg remover if you can't
find it here or here. These are my recently used type to say in background removal. Let's click it right
here, background remover and watch
this in a matter of seven to 8.2 s is gone. And now all that
background is gone. But we still have a little bit here that we want to get rid of over here down by underway
his elbow with shirts. So inside the
background remover, what they have is a
tool called erase. So what we're gonna do
with it, click Erase, as you can see, it zooms
in on this for us. And we can even zoom in
a little more and it gives us an eraser
and just come right here and just get rid
of all of this stuff that we don't really want it
to be inside the picture. After you start getting
more fine tune, we can take the
brush size down a little bit so we
don't erase any, uh, Wayne, make the brush
a little bit smaller. If you really want
to give science, if it went in surgical
way that you can zoom in. This is for those yada, like really serious
attention to details. Me, not so much like this. This is just a
YouTube thumbnail. Remember, you don't
want to waste time. He's wanted to get
the thing done. And for the most part, LLC good. It's not the best,
but it looks okay. I'll see anything
else around it. If you really pay a digital, you can see it, but for
the most part you can. So we're going to hit
Done, and now that's gone. So what we wanna do is I
want to move this up because I don't like how Drake
is cut off right here. So we want to kinda mass
debt by having him up here, like going there and probably
make a little bit bigger. Another thing that I do, since this is gonna
be in the background and it's going to be
in the foreground. I go up here to this menu and I click this checkerboard
where it says transparency. And when I do that, I bring this down
about, about 50. As you can see, the image has started to be a little
bit more opaque. It's almost like it's in the
background like a memory. We could do that and
boom, there we go. And I think that
looks pretty good. I know we had the elbow right there That's
going to be cut off, but we're going to add $0.50. So let's see what
we do with that. So let's go over
here. Let's type in, Let's go back to Google, and
let's go faster image of 50. So let's do the same thing. $0.50, high-quality PNG. Then all these images of
50 or cool, the SMEs, younger ones want to
make sure that we want something where he's
looking at cameras mean, like I liked this one, but his hats cutoff as
can be problematic. Like it wasn't drugs arm. Oh, there we go, right here. So PNG wing, any website
that says like PNG are some, that means they
specialize these images. So it's usually a pretty
good idea to go with them. So once again, we clicked it, going to right-click
open image in new tab. Let's close this
little line one. When we come over
here, that's small. That's small. That small Let's see you
somebody either down here. Let me see how this looks.
Yeah, that looks much better. I click down at the bottom. This was an option
below that image. So let's open this in a new tab. Yeah, that looks way
better if it's bigger. As you can see the details, this is going to be a much
higher quality image. So we're going to right-click, I'm going to Save
Image As and go for the desktop. Is saved. Go down here, back to Canva. Come over here to upload. Open. Perfect, uploaded,
click it Bull. Now we're in here. We'll do the same thing we
just did at it. Image background remover. Now, looking at image
of 50 that we have. Now the great thing about
this image is that because it's cut off at the
bottom and the sides, we can kinda have them lean over to the black a little bit. And I want 50 as
big as possible. I want people to see
his eyes and want people to see Drake and wane. So I want to click on white and just make
them a little bit bigger. There we go, see if we
get them to the top. Drake's almost air, so
that's good enough. 50. What else? Good, real good. Now what we can do
with 50 is something I like to do tonight. The
image a little bit better. So we can go inside
of edit image. And you can add any
effect you want. Go look up what type of
effects are inside of Canva, crazy amount of Texas
Society of Canada. But what I like to
do, I could come over here and I use shadows. Shadows does is it adds a
little outline around 50. So we got a glow,
we've got to drop, you got to angle carved
pays live backdrop. So we're going to see
which one that we want. I think I want to go back to
angle and we can adjust it, as you can see right
here says C Controls. So we're going to click that. We can change the angle
to have it move washes, moving to the right is on this other shoulder now it actually looks a little better. And then we can have the transparency to make
it a little darker. Or it can be really light, but I like it dark. I can kind of add
some separation. If we want to make this blurry, we can do that as well. But I kinda like it the
dark, maybe a little bit. Okay. And so once we're done with
that, that's all in there. And then we can make to try to make videos
because we can Man. I never want to
oh, what was that? Undo? The heck was that? Yeah. I don't know what happened. Alright. So I'll press Undo. Let's bring this back. I actually liked the size they
made him know that aphids. All right. Alright, so we're
going to do it again. They actually made him bigger,
which actually prefer. So Duetto edit shadows, angle, patrols, getting more air and
a little bit more to apply. Probably where I messed up. I didn't click that last time. I looked at that. I mean, that looks
really, really good. You know, it is kinda
got, you know, the, the cutoff of drape back there, but it is in the background or whatnot all because
that big of a deal.
7. 7. How To Export Thumbnails: Now that this is fetish
and this is ready to go, it's time to export it. To export our thumbnail is very easy and Campbell, I got
to do is go up here. You want to click share. And you want to go down here, you wants to click Download. We click Download.
You want to make sure that the file type is PNG. You want to make sure
that the size is 12, 80 by 720 PX, saved out low settings
don't have any of this clicked down low. And as you could see, makes it a little smaller.
You can drag this. Now. As you can see, There's a YouTube thumbnail, ready Go rate of outflow. Looks really,
really, really good. And it's that easy to make a
YouTube thumbnail and Canva.
8. 8. Outro - Make Quick YouTube Thumbnails In Canva: My ducks, swans,

add custom colors. Now you know how to
