1. Introduction to Logo Design With AI: A professional looking
logo is considered one of the most important
branding elements for any business venture
for any organization, whether a business brand
or a personal brand. However, the process of
creating a logo needs some technical
expertise as well as some important skills that many of us really
don't have from graphic design to
visualization to imagination to
color combinations, and the list goes on. Not to mention the
time requirements and the effort it
takes to create a professional looking logo and the iterations back and forth to actually
finalize that design. Well, not anymore. Due to the intervention of
artificial intelligence, I'm going to show you a very powerful way to
utilize AI in order to create professional
grade logos in minutes compared to months. You heard me right.
With fraction of the time, fraction
of the effort, you'll be able to
create professional looking logos that stand out. In this current powerful class, we're going to utilize chat GPT specifically to go through the entire process from A to Z in terms of
creating a logo. And not just that, you'll be
actually creating two D and three D representations
of the logos, whether you're doing
this as part of your own
entrepreneurship journey or as part of the
client work that you're having or for your
own design projects that you're working
on or whatever application that
you have in mind, including marketing as these
tactics are very powerful. In addition to the
powerful resources that you'll be provided with
in terms of graphic design, branding that you
could combine in order to help you as well
as prompt engineering, in order to help you take your design skills to
a different level. That way, you're able to utilize artificial intelligence
in the best way possible, in the most strategic
way possible to get professional looking
logos in no time. All of these powerful aspects, we're going to be tackling
them in this current class.
2. Your Project : Your project for the current
class revolves around creating your own unique
professional looking logos, applying the key concept start. After which you're
going to be sharing your results with the rest of
the community for feedback.
3. Priming ChatGPT For Logo Design Success: Welcome back. Now, the
first thing that we need to do basically is
to set up hATGPT. And obviously, you need to
navigate to chatgpt.com, and feel free to use
the free account. You do not need to use the
actual paid account in order to go through
the applications. Now, in this current lesson, we're going to actually set up hatGPTF a prompt
engineering point of view, we call it priming hat GPT. And what do I mean
by this? If we take a look at the
prompt window over here, obviously, you do have in the
request to add in a prompt. But every single
word that you use in a certain sequence
crafts a prompt, which either gives you the result that
you're looking for, or it takes you further from the result that
you're looking for. So that's why we have to be very careful with what we're doing in order to make sure we are
building on the right steps. So I'm going to prime chat GPT, and the best way to
go about this for our purpose is by
giving it a role. So I'm going to say act
as a branding strategist. And as a professional
logo designer. Notice what I have
set over here. Once I begin the prompt with a role branding strategist and professional logo designer, this will guide ChaGPT to actually behave in a
certain fashion based on such a profession in order to give me the results
that I'm looking for. We'll use the information from branding strategy,
professional logo design. In order to guide the
results that come up next. And there are different levels for prompt engineering
practices, but this will help us
get to our logos in the fastest way possible and in a very efficient way
as we're going to see. So act as a branding
strategist and as a professional logo designer. All right, want you to create logo or logos for my new. And this is basically
where you add in whatever it is that you're creating the
logo for your new shop, your new business, your new
website, whatever it is. I'm going to use a
hypothetical example for demonstration purposes. My new restaurant. Here we go. And I'm going to just simply stop it right here
because this will actually prompt Cha GPT to
request certain information, which I'm going to use
to help me confirm did it get their role and
the responsibilities or not? Let's take a look
at this. Now, once you click Enter, let's
take a look at this. Great, I'd love to
help you with that. To create logos that truly represent your
restaurant brand, I need a bit more
information first. Please answer the
questions below as your branding strategist
and logo designer. This will help me
craft logo options that match your
vision perfectly. By itself, once you
get such a response, this confirms that the prompt
has worked effectively. Why? Because based on the
output that I'm getting, I'm able to see what kind
of questions is HGPT asking in order to confirm basically whether or not it understood what I'm
trying to achieve. First of all, it requested
for the restaurant name. Tag line, cuisine type, target audience, brand
personality, preferred colors, icon ideas, competitors or
inspiration, logo style, which is preferred,
minimal, detail, text based, icon based
combination, classic or modern. This is very, very powerful. So once you get all
of these details, these are related to branding. So at this current stage, it's assumed that
you have an idea about what is basically that you're trying to
achieve with such a logo? Are you creating a
logo for a restaurant, for a website, for
a certain business? What are these details
that they have? For example, the type of the cuisine for
such a restaurant? Who's the target audience, brand personality, preferred
colors, icon ideas, competitors or inspiration to
get some details from them, logo preferences,
minimal detail. And basically, once
you get all of these details as
of the branding. This is the importance
of integrating branding with logo
design because you're able to actually get the best results in the
fastest way possible. And then once you get the
branding requirements, I'm going to walk you through
hypothetical brand identity to help you visualize this, we'll generate three distinct logo options based
on your input, one minimal modern logo, one creative symbolic logo, and one bold and trendy logo. So this confirms basically
that we have primed chat GPT in the best way possible to
guide the upcoming steps. And this should be quite unique
to your own application, for your website,
for your business, for your client, whatever it is. But once you get to the stage, you get these
questions popping up in front of you as part
of the prompt output, it means you are on
the right track. Now, let's take it
one level further.
4. Integrating the Brand Identity : Welcome back. Now I'm going
to be providing CHAD GPT with these branding questions in order to guide the
logo design process. And I'm going to keep
it as straightforward as possible and
simplistic as possible. But it's up to
you. You could add a lot more details based
on your own application. Even the way I'm
going to answer, it's quite very generic. To show you, it's not
that complicated. Over here, CHAD GPT requested
for nine different items. I don't have to
answer all of them. I don't have to answer
them with detail, even though I don't even have to answer them
in the same sequence. But the better is, in terms of the output, I need to make sure
I'm following these in order in order to make sure that the output actually makes sense. But for demonstration purposes, I'm going to walk you
through the fastest way possible to get this done. So let's assume that the
restaurant name is Magma. That's the name.
Okay. Then coma. Tag line, no tag line. Cuisine type burgers. And you could add
as much details as possible for every single one of those lines. Target audience. How about foodies? Okay. Then we have the
brand personality. Choose three to five words that describe the personality
of your brand, modern, elegant, bold, rustic, fun and luxurious.
How about modern? Okay? Then I'm not going
to choose all of them, by the way, just simply a
couple of them or one of them. I chose modern just
to keep it simple. Preferred colors for the colors, you need to suggest them. Okay. And for every single
one of these points, you could leave them as numbers. You can just simply
type one, two, three, or you can use commas the
same way I'm using right now. And for something that
is missing, for example, I don't have any idea
about the colors, the preferred colors to use. You can just simply ask Chat GPT to provide you with the colors. For the colors, you need
to adjust them for me. How about as a palette for
me as a color palette. That's so whatever
item is missing, feel free to ask HAGPD to pop it for you to get
you some inspiration. Now, for the Con ideas, I need icon ideas as well. Competitors or inspiration now, feel free to get creative. Now, for the compeors
or inspiration, you could actually
copy and paste from competitors logo or different logo for inspiration from other industry
to help guide. It doesn't have to be based
on the same application, but it could be
something related in terms of the
colors or the shapes. As for the logo style
and preferences, let's go for minimal
logo design, but feel free to
suggest options. So when you're answering
all of these questions, you're getting as part
of the brand identity. I've went through
various shortcuts like short answers straight to the point without
having as much details, but from your own point of view, from your own perspective, you could have as much
detail as possible. For every single one
of these points, feel free to inject them. The more detailed, the
more clear your vision is, the better your output will be. Now, is basically this will help me integrate the brand identity. That's the whole purpose
of this current lesson. You're going to
actually integrate the brand identity by
answering these questions in order to be able to get
some output from CHAD GPT. Now, let's click
Enter and go ahead. Let's take a look
at the outputs. Let's take a look at this.
Thanks for the clear input. Here's a brand snapshot based on what you
shared followed by a logo direction with three
unique concept options. Since we have prime
CHAD GPT properly, unique concepts which align with their role. The brand name. Here we go. Magma, tagline,
audience, logo preferences. If you notice over
here, has suggested the color palette
because I did not have a color palette just
for demonstration purposes. But it doesn't mean
you cannot just simply get a color palette based on
the prompt on the contrary. You can just simply
push Chat GPT to give you the actual color palettes. And I'm going to show you
how you could take it further actually to fine
tune your inspiration. So magma equals heat,
depth, boldness. Take a look at the color
palettes, love red, charcoal black, ash gray, molten, orange, soft cream. Even the description
is provided for the color palettes
and the hex code. That way, if you're
using Photoshop, for example, or Adobe or whatever it is
that you're using, even Canva, as part of
the design process, you're able to simply copy these codes to get
actual colors. And I'm going to show
you how to actually reflect these colors in
Cha GPT in a moment. So logo concept directions, minimal flame icon,
plus word mark. So if you notice, these are the word based
representations or the briefings of
the logo concept. We're getting some ideas. We're getting some
brand incorporation, sort of speak within
the design process. Minimal flame icon, plus
wordmark the icon, sleek flame, silhouette, subtly
shaped like the letter M, font style, color. If you notice, so far, I
cannot see the logo, right? That's part of the
building phase. So we're seeing the three
different logo options, how they are
basically represented through the text based response. Now we are on the right track. We are actually seeing how
things work out, correct? So what I'm going to
be doing right now, I'm going to ask chat
GPT, and by default, it has actually spotted
what I'm trying to achieve, right, generating
the actual visuals. So now we are ready to
transition to the next.
5. Generating the Visual Elements: And welcome back. So we were able to actually fuse the brand identity into the
design process for the logos, where we've gotten
some key elements related to the colors
that we need to use, the concept direction through keywords and through word
based representations. At this current stage, we are ready to
generate the visuals. Even without requesting a chat GPT based on a
prompt from my end, it was able to understand that this is the
next step in order. Would you like me to generate visuals for these logo
options right now? That's very powerful because it confirms that we have
primed it properly. No, I'm not going to generate
the logos right now, but I'm going to show you
how you could deviate and get some extra visuals
to find you in the process. Now, ChadGPT has requested which options you'd like
to visualize first? Any specific format, square, horizontal or icon only. Once you confirm, I'll
generate the logos. I'm not going to ask you to
generate the logos right now because I need to fill
in some intermediate steps. I'm going to say, at this stage, I want you to visually display the brand
related Color palette. So I'm taking the
actual hex colors, the codes, and the
color description that we have gotten previously. And then I'm having had
GPT turn it into a visual. For me, T for example, I have no idea what do these
codes stand for, right? How do they look like visually. I'm designing something, I
need to see the actual colors. So instead of jumping
between softwares, I'm having Chad GPT
display this for me. So at this stage, I want you to visual display the brand
related color palette. Here we go. Take a
look at the chart. This is lava red,
charcoal black, ash gray, molten orange, soft cream, based on the previous
table, right? So here's the visual display for the brand related color
palette for magma, bold, modern and built to
evoke appetite and heat. Let me know if you want
to tweak any of the tones or proceed to the logo
generation. Great. So we're able to get
the color palettes as part of the visuals,
but we're not done yet. I need to get some
icons and shapes. I'm going to say, before
we generate the logos, suggest a visual displaying relevant shapes and icons that align with my brand identity. And this is very powerful
for you as someone designing a logo or designing any part
of the branding elements, you're able to within
the sequence of events, you're able to
actually have had GPT, release some output for you that you could use to help you
find you in the process. If you take a look over
here, for example, this is the icon for
flame, burger in crack, heat wave, a minimal burger, melting text effect,
volcanic crack. So it has created some
graphics right? So icons. And it has given them
some labels, by the way, just simply to incorporate
the tone of the brand. So flame, stylized flame forming the letter M.
Basically, here you go. It's like an M, but a flame. Burger and crack represents the volcanic magma theme
with a burger visual, even though attach suggests
something like a rectangle, heat wave abstract, so
this is an abstract. So it's taking into account the actual brand identity that we've established
before, right? Incorporating the color palettes and generating the
relevant icons. For you as a designer, this helps you confirm if you're moving in the
right direction or no. So at this current
stage, here we go, let me know which direction
resonates most with you, and I'll proceed with
generating the actual logos. So we are able to confirm at this current stage that
Chad GPT is following up, and it has actually
generated from the previous discussion the
three different directions. Number one, minimal
flame icon plus wordmark burger stack
inside a magma crack, and then typographic
logo with molten effect. So this is based on
the brand identity and why it's able to actually suggest three concepts, right? Now, let's take a look at
how these logos look like.
6. Creating The Professional Logos: And welcome back.
Now we are ready to proceed with
generating the logos. Now, at this current stage, I truly hope that you are able to follow up with
the sequence of events that you need to keep up with in order to get the best
results from the get go. Instead of just
simply jumping on Cha GPT and create logos, this will give you
something basic, but at a professional level, you're building things
in a very powerful way. So I'm going to ask
HAGPT right now proceed with generating all
three for me to decide. If you recall, we have three
different concepts, right? So now hATGPT is going to build the logos based on the previous foundations
that we have created. Selected I've selected three
different logo designs based on the concept, right? If you recall, as HAGPT is
actually creating the logos, we have the logo
concept direction, minimal flame icon
plus word mark. Burger stack inside
a magma crack, typographic logo
with molten effect. These are very powerful. So you have a clear idea now in which direction
we are heading, and we're able to figure
out the color palettes and the related icons which are
guiding the design process. Now, as TAGPT is
generating the output, if you have applied all of these steps in the Y
order and the sequence, you'll be getting
some powerful logos, some powerful designs which
are at a professional grade. Take a look at this current
output from HAGPT based on the brand for the
hypothetical restaurant magma that we have created
at this current stage, just simply for
demonstration purposes, and this could vary based
on your own unique project. But the sequence of the flow should be
quite clearly the same. Notice the difference in terms of the logos,
very powerful. Incorporating the actual design. This is magma, magma and magma, including the color
palettes, that's one, right? All of the colors included
certain icons, right? The theme, which is
modern minimalist. These are very powerful. But let's say you're
not content, right? You need something else to
compare it to or you need to have a different
representation for this. So these are three logo concepts based on what we have
provided so far. All of them they look
great, by the way. But as part of the design process and
the creative process, you need to have some sort of variations to compare it to. Now, let's see how
we could achieve.
7. Powerful Logo Variations: And welcome back. Now I'm
going to show you how you could create some
powerful variations, some mind blowing variations. Here we go. I want more variations for the logo designs. Now, this is not enough. You can just simply you need
to type in, get creative. So basically you're
allowing HAGPT at this current stage to
actually get creative and deviate slightly from
the design concept and the brand identity that
we have provided it with. So you guide the design
process following these design structures in terms of the prompts that
I'm sharing with you, and then you have the option to actually deviate
a bit by allowing CHA GPT to incorporate some creative
elements beyond this. That way you have some
design variations, design options that
you could refer to. And we don't have to stick to two dimensional
designs, by the way, I'm going to show you the
three dimensional output as well to take on
one level further. Take a look at the
output based on the font prom that we
have Incorporated, as you can see, hAGEPT is trying to come up with something new. Now, even the representation of the shapes is
quite different. The color is different,
magma, magma, here we go. So it's trying to have some sort of deviation from
it, which is great. It clearly reflects that it's trying to come up
with different options. How about if you need something else, you
simply type more. So this will give you more
and more and more variations. That way, you're able
to take a look at them. You're able to compare them. And you should just
type in the word more or add in an extra context. For example, change the colors, change the theme, and this way, you're able to have
different variations. I'm going to show you some
options that you could use. To help you tweak the
designs as much as possible in order to get the output that
you're looking for. So it stems at this
current stage, either to typing the
word more or stems from adding some context to the word more at
this current stage. Notice what SAGPT is doing. It's refining the output. When I type the word
more or the prompt more, it's trying to iterate and figure out another option
and another option. So it's fixating on the color
red at this current stage. Let's deviate this. Magma
magma, Okay, perfect. Everything looks great,
but how about let's try a different theme instead of modern and different colors. Then I'm going to say, feel
free to get creative and find the Best design
based on the brand. Concept. Here we go. So now I'm allowing
CHA GPT to deviate even further from the
brand identity by simply fixating on the concept only and having CHA
GPT proceed with different design themes of modern with different
colors instead of having the red or the
black and the yellow to different different
output entirely. That's the whole purpose
of the creative process. You're able to figure out the best results based on
applying design practices, but at the same time, having variable design outputs that you could draw some inspiration,
draw some inspiration from. Let's take a look
at the output that HAGPT has generated based
on the latest prompt, which provides HAGPT with
more freedom in that case. Take a look at the logo. If you noticed it did
not provide options. I just simply
focused on creating one simple logo that covers everything in
the best way possible. Take a look at the
answer. Magma, a burger, volcano, an erupting volcano, and the title or the
name of the restaurant. And this looks
great, by the way. And then you could add
some variations to it, where you can just simply
click on this, by the way. This is a protip. Take a
look at the icon over here. Here we go. You click on the stillusOce you select a
certain part of the logo, ability to edit the logo. For example, I'm going
to highlight this. I'm going to change the color. You have the ability to describe what you want to add,
remove, or replace. I'm going to say, change the color To red for
the selected area. And once I click on generate, now I'm having the
next level approach or the ability to fine tune
my design specifically. So fine tuning the
specific locations. Instead of just
simply trying to keep on generating things
over and over again, I have the ability to locally modify certain
elements of the logo, like I've shown you right now. By clicking on the image then highlighting the area
using the stills, and then you're able to generate the specific
alterations instead of trying to change the
entire design completely, no, you have the ability to
select specific locations, and then it's up to you
and your creativity. What would you like to add? What would you like to remove? You're incorporating the output from artificial intelligence. At the same time,
you are maintaining your creative edge by getting some results and building
up upon those results. Let's take a look
at the right now, after integrating this advanced tactic that I'm teaching you, where you're able to modify
the designs locally. That way, you have endless
variations for the logos, very powerful outputs,
and sky is the limit. You can just simply
get quite creative in the process without being
limited to certain prompts. Now let's take a look
at this as we are generating the revision logo. To this logo. Now, HAGPT has taken the
selection which I've made. I've selected the
fumes at the top, and I've asked HAGPT to
change the color to red. Now, I have highlighted
a larger area. That's why it has actually changed the color of
the volcano as well and made sure everything looks
quite aligned. So magma. But if you notice over here, er has taken the command
or the prompt as is, where it has changed the selection completely
to the color red, and then it has mapped the color red to
the other elements. So if you notice deviated from what you're asking,
just simply go back. You click on the previous image, and then you click
on this again. And instead of just simply adding more details
to the prompt, which might confuse had GPT based on the stills input,
you can just simply say, change the color to red. That's it. And then Chad GPT is going
to map the color red to the best output to the
best output potential. The same way it has
done over here, where it has added some sort
of a layer of a ketchup, and then the foundation for the volcano has been
changed to the color red. That way, you're able to
find tune your design over and over again till you get the best output that
you're looking for. I'm going to assume, let's say this is our
finalized design, right? I'm going to pick this logo. We went through the
creative process. We have seen this magma
with various logo outputs. But yet so far, I
think the best option that I would like to go for is the one which
we have landed at, which includes some sort of all of the design
elements, the icons, the shapes, and the
actual color palette that we're looking to achieve. And then I'm going
to have Chat GPT. Take this design and then
take it one level further. So this logo has been presented
in two dimensions, right? And I'm going to show
you how you could take this logo and turn it into
a three D representation. You heard me right into a three D representation, that way, you're able to add some sort of spice to it as part of
your logo briefing, presentation to the clients. Trying to help them see and visualize the design
that you have created, which puts you as a
designer at an edge, as a professional designer, logo designer, you're able
to create three D logos. That's really powerful,
whether for your own project or for your own company or for your own clients,
it's up to you. D is one game. But three D designs,
that's a different game. Take a look at this powerful
finalized two D logos. This is the end result that I
would like to proceed with. We got the name,
magma, color palette. Then we do have the burger, and then we have changed
the fumes to color red, which looks perfect at
this current stage, right? But like I've mentioned,
we're not done yet. I'm going to show you how to
take this two D design for a logo and then transform it
into a three D masterpiece.
8. 3D Logo Designs In Seconds: Welcome back. Now we're
going to take our logo and simply transform it into
a three D design output. Now, you might be wondering,
what's the point of this? Why would I transform it to something into
three dimensional? When you are presenting
this to a client or as part of your own project
briefing or demonstration, you're acting at a
professional level, and that's the whole purpose
of these activities. You're not just simply taking
any logo design initiative, which is very poor and
basic on the contrary. You're applying
professional grade tactics. So at this current stage,
we're going to say, Let's create a three D model for the logo design above. That's it. So I'm going
to have HA GPT right now, create a three D model
or three D visual. It's up to you whatever prompt will work at this current stage. So I'm going to actually
have HAPT design this. Turn it from two D to three
D. Take a look at this. Creating a three model of the vintage style magma logo can give it depth for sgeage,
animation or packaging. Here's a breakdown
what to do next. What I need from you, the use intentions asking for
some details, right? What is the preferred of file? I'm not going to go through
all of these details. I'm just simply going to have hATGPT and feel free
to, by the way, answer all of these if you'd like to have
something specific, but I'm going to just
simply have hATGPT, create a three D version. Now, here we go. That's it. So I'm going to have
HAGPT right now, take the previous
design that we have, and then shift it to a three
D version straight ahead. And as part of the role that
we have assigned to HAGPT, it's asking for certain details, right, the preferred
output and the usage, what are you trying to use
it for in order to give you the three D output that aligns
with the usage intention, either logo animation,
signboard mockup, packaging, website,
whatever it is. Feel free to tinker with, but you're able to see
the end result right now, which helps you take your design approach
to a whole new level. As the output unfolds, as we're able to see, the
results are incredible. Take a look at the logo. It's literally it has been transformed completely from
being two D, like this, quite static into
a three D visual, which captures the essence and the brand
identity as a whole. This is very, very powerful, and this is a job well
done. Here we go. Magma. This is the
hypothetical brand that we have created,
hypothetical logo. This is a three D
representation for the logo, as you can see, it includes
the color palettes, the topography,
the color scheme, the background,
and the backdrop, the burger icon or logo. Everything has been transformed
into a three D. And now you got yourself a two D
representation for the logo, and a three D This is the two. And this is a three D
representation of the logo. See how powerful this is. And now it's up to you to try to tinker with
this and to get as much output as possible for your own
unique application.
9. Wrapping Up: So what do you
think? I truly hope that you found the
class helpful. If it helped you get
inspired to have some AI incorporations
within your design approach, then it's a job well done, and sky is the limit in terms of the
applications that we could cover through artificial
intelligence applications, whether for design purposes
or creative purposes. And I look forward to receiving your feedback on the
current class and make sure that you follow
my profile for the latest releases and updates, and I'll see you
in the next class.
