Transcripts
1. Introduction: Have you tried to design
logos professionally, where you end up realizing, like I did, it takes
a lot of time. It takes a lot of effort. Not to mention, it could
be quite complicated with a lot of failures in the
process to get it right. And if you do get it right and you need to place the
logo on your product, that's a different
story where you might have a successfully
designed logo. Poor alignment with the product, where you end up having to design the logo all over again. However, in this current class, I'm going to teach you how
to harness the power of artificial intelligence,
specifically had GPT, in order to create
professionally looking logos, which align with your
own creative venture, with your own products, showcasing the product
that you're having, as well as the logo
placed on the product, in order to confirm that
the logo design matches the brand and is perfectly aligned with your
own creative vision. It's a very important
skill to grasp in which you will learn how to actually
create professional logos, as well as create professional mock ups that
integrate those logos, which are going to be tackled in this current powerful class.
2. Your Project: Project for the current class
revolves around creating your own professionally
looking logo and combining it with a product that you have in mind and showcasing
it as a mock up. After which you're going to be sharing the combined product and the logo with the rest of
the community for feedback.
3. Setting Up ChatGPT Strategically: Welcome back. Now, the first
thing that we need to do is basically we need to set
up HATGPT and to prime it. Now, if you're new to HATGPT, the first thing that you need
to do is simply navigate to chatgpt.com or open a to
create your own account. Whatever I'm going to be
teaching you right now works on the free account and works
on the paid account. So regardless, even if
you don't have access, through the paid
subscription for CHAT GPT, you can just simply
have a free trial, but everything going to
be teaching you right now basically works perfectly
for the free version. Now, once you
navigate to hATGPT, the first thing that
you're going to be landing on is the main prompt window. Now, this is
basically where we're going to be engaging
with hatGPT. And the first thing
that we need to do is to prime CHATGB since the whole focus of the
current class is actually to create logos in a very
professional fashion, saving us time,
saving us effort, we need to set things up from a prompt engineering point of view in the correct fashion. So how do we go about this? Follow my steps for you to be able to see the full sequence of prompt that will help you get the job done
with fraction of the time. The first thing I'm
going to have hATGPT do is to act in a certain way. So I'm going to tell
CHAT GPT act as a professional logo designer and graphics designer. As part of the prompt structure, the first thing that we're
having over here is basically assigning a certain
role to chat GPT, because this will guide the further steps
that are going to be taking because once
you go about this, you are going to
have the output in line with the actual role. This is a very important step. Now we're going to actually
try to confirm Did Chad GPT understand the
requirement of the role in order to proceed with
the logo design process? So act as a professional
logo designer and graphics designer in which
I want you to create a series of logo designs for my new cafe, restaurant, a business,
whatever it is. This is basically where you
place your desired criteria. For example, we have said, I want a series of logo designs
for my new cafe, right? It could be for your
own unique case. It could be your shop, it could be for a
certain product. It could be for a restaurant. This is basically
where you make it uniquely in line with
your own situation. However, the whole purpose of this current prompt is not
to create anything yet. We are just simply
setting the grounds up in order to get the
best output possible. Let's see how. So once
you add in this prompt, click on n. So what
CHATGPT will do now is going to analyze your prompt and then we'll give
you a response. And from that response, we're able to tell basically
did we get the idea or not. So let's take a look
at the feedback from ChaGPT. Absolutely. I'll be glad to help design series of logo
concepts for your new cafe. To begin professionally, I need a few essential
details to create logos that match your
brand identity audience. This is very important. Once you see these
two statements, it confirms that
hATGPT is actually behaving in the same role
that we have aligned it to. So it's going to create a logo. However, it needs some details related to the brand identity, and this is the tactic
or the hack over here because logos are
part of branding, right? So in order to have
a professional logo, we need to understand
the brand identity. And once hATGPT HAGPT actually
asks you such a question, it means it's behaving in a role to get you the
best output professionally. Let's take a look
at the details. First of all, the basic
brand details, for example, the cafe name, tagline, type of cafe, target audience, location, excellent,
the design direction, preferred style,
minimalist vintage, modern, rustic, hand drawn, luxury, excellent,
color preferences, typography, do you want
logo with icon only, text only, icmple
text, emblem style, word mark, competitor or
inspirational brands. This is a next step. This is very, very
powerful because then once we go about
the design process, if you have some sort
of an inspiration, you can just simply add it
where you take a screenshot or get an image and upload
it directly over here, and then HADGPT
will analyze this. So this confirms basically at this current stage that
we have successfully set up CHAGPT to act as a professional logo designer.
Take a look at this. Once I get these answers, I will present three to five logo concepts in
different styles. Provide mockups,
include branding notes, optional, prepare vector ready
file for professional use. See how powerful this is? By simply prompting chat GPT in a strategic way and priming
it in a strategic way, we are able to set ourselves up for a solid
foundation for success. So now we are ready
to proceed to the next important step, which will help us build upon the solid foundation
that we have created.
4. Adding Your Brand and Project Details: This current stage, we are
ready to start getting some outputs from Chat GPT in line with our
design initiative. Now, a word of caution, make sure that you do not take
the first output as it is because you can find unit
to get even stronger, better, more complex
results if you follow the approach
that I'm sharing with you and teaching
it to you right now. So the first thing
I'm going to do is to keep things
simple, by the way, and feel free to add as much detail as possible
at this current stage. You could add your own
brand name, your tagline, the type of the business
or the product or whatever it is that you're
doing, target audience, the location, preferred style, color, topography, and
the style of the logo. If you have a clear
idea, if you're a professional logo designer
or graphics designer, you're doing this professionally
feel free to inject. As much detail as possible. However, I'm going
to be showing you that you can still
get this done in a simplistic way without having to go through
every single detail. The whole purpose of
the priming part is for you to see that Chad GPT has the ability now to pick up the role that
has been assigned. So this is the prompt, the basic prompt that
you're going to be using, and feel free to
build up on this. The cafe's name is
roasted beans, okay, which is a modern cafe that serves only coffee. I want the logo to
be a modern design, which reflects the
nature of the cafe. Once you add what we call this as a constraint, basically, what we're going to be telling
Chat GPT that the design I would like you to
generate should align with the concept
I'm sharing with you. But you could always
leave some room for hat GPT to share
some innovative designs. I'm going to show
you how as well. So the cafe's name
is roasted beans, which is a modern cafe
that serves only coffee. I want the logo. To
be a modern design, which reflects the
nature of the cafe. This is a very, very,
very simple prompt. Now, click Andre. Now, Chad GPT is going to be analyzing
this and then is going to be actually
having sharing some sort of a summarization for whatever we
have shared so far. And then we'll ask
for a certain prompt to get a sample logo as
per our expectations, take a look at the output. This is the brand summary.
Excellent. This could be as detailed as possible, depending on your own
unique situation. Let's take a look at the
logo concepts, design steps. I'll create a sort
of logo variations, each with different
interpretation of the modern coffee vibe. Word mark only, complex text, geometric symbol,
stamp style emblem, negative space concept. Take a look at how
powerful this is. If you're a professional
graphics designer, marketing professional, someone who's done logo design professional you'll
understand that every single one of them would take
you from weeks of creative ventures to months of trying to
finalize the design. And we got five of them and all of them,
they're quite unique. Take a look at the final
response from hat GPT. I'll now generate four to
five visual logo options in 16 by nine format. Feel free to change
this as well. If you'd like to specify
color preferences, black and white, earthy
tones, Beijing and espresso, how did it get these based on the theme
that I've shared with hat GPT at this current stage? This is very important
because the more details you inject over here, based on your unique situation, the more personalized
the feedback you're going to be getting
at this current stage. Now I can integrate
this such that, I'll go with a modern
espresso theme, deep brown, warm beige, black, and clean white. So CHAD GPT got
creative at this part, sharing the upcoming output,
how would it look like? So would you like me to proceed with generating the logo images? So what has Cha GPT
done right now, shared with me the trajectory of the upcoming design step. This is very powerful
because now we are just simply going through the
logo design concept. It's not finalized yet. I'm diving into
excessive steps and details to get the output
that I would like to get. This is what will help you stand out from a professional who knows how to use AI to actually
generate these designs, and someone is just simply
trying things out and getting two D logos, something which does not match their own preferences,
and the list goes on. So at this current stage, everything seems perfectly in
line with my expectations. And now we are ready
to have Chat GPT generate the initial
logo design concepts.
5. Generating Logo Design Concepts: Welcome back. Now let's
continue where we left off. Let's proceed with
the generation of the logo concepts to
see the initial output. Here we go. So at
this current stage, Chat GPT is going to be
generating the logos based on the key design inputs
that I've shared with the model through prompt
engineering practices. At this current stage, like I mentioned, this is
very important. Feel free to get creative, add as much detail
as possible to this segment of the prompt
structure in order to get initial concepts
which really really align perfectly with your own
expectations from the get go. So it's very important
at this current stage that you're able to fine tune from a simplistic design
to something more complex. And what determines if this is going to be quite
simplistic or not, the prompt segment over here. Like I mentioned, for
demonstration purposes, I kept it simple. However, the more details
you add over here, the more refined the
output will be over here. So let's take a look at
the initial designs, the initial logos that
we're seeing from Chad GPT, and they look incredible. Literally, four
different designs, instead of five, let's
take a look at this. If I click on this, by the way, I have the ability
to expand the image. So we got the first logo, plain text, roasted
beans. Excellent. If you notice, it combined the actual elements that
I've shared with it. The theme, the
name, it's modern. Basically, it
serves only coffee, so it included the espresso cup, a coffee bean over here, kept it quite simple, which aligns perfectly at this stage with the
brand identity. And by the way, you can
just simply click on this and click at the
button over here, which will help you
to download this. You're able to download this, then you're able to extract these logos from
the current image, or you can just
simply say if you'd like these logos to be
presented separately, I can just simply add
a prompt and have Chad GPT display
them separately. Display each logo by itself. So this will help
me actually try to get the designs
in high resolution without the need to go to
an external software or any tool extra tools to extract these designs simply by having this prompt over here, display each logo by itself. Now, CHA GPT would actually reflect this
through one logo at a time. Now, what I would expect
is HAGPT will just simply show me one of them only. Then I have to type proceed
to generate the rest. So if you notice now HAGPT is actually showcasing the
first logo. Let's see. And by the way, this
usually happens. Sometimes, once you say
display something by itself, it might give you a
different output. So it's very important
to make sure that you're getting the results in line
with your expectations. So that's the first one.
Roasted beans, excellent. So everything is in line
with our expectations. So now I'm going to say
proceed with the next one. Now, you will repeat
the following prompt in order to cover all of them. Why? Because when you are doing such a tactic over here or
applying such a tactic, display each logo by itself, Chat GPT does not have the
ability to go about creating multiple outputs at the same
time or simultaneously. So we'll create the first one. However, once you type in, proceed with the next one, it will pick up from the
previous command and then it will share
the output till you completely finish extracting or exporting these
various logo designs. At every design that you have, you can just simply
type in download or click on Download over here. You're able to download the design you have in mind,
proceed with the next one. Here we go. Click on proceed
with the next one, just simply to confirm
that you're able to do so regardless of how many logos that you have already generated. Because often you tend to find users, they get stuck over here, and they start asking, How can I get every single one of
these logos by itself? It's quite simple.
You just simply have CHAT JPT extract
these logos for you. So this is just simply the final demonstration for
the extraction process. If you type proceed
with the next one, you still have the ability
to get the final logo. But what I would like
to do right now is just simply just shift the
entire design process. So I've gotten these
initial logos. From a professional point of
view, they get the job done. Me personally, I would go for this logo over here or
this logo over here, yet they seem quite
too simple, right? So I'm going to have
Chad GPT right now, go ahead and try
to get creative. And here we go. It
generated the third logo. So I'm going to have CHAD GPT right now. Switch the design. I would like you to get creative by simply adding
the word get creative, it's removing the constraints that you have placed previously. And now Chat GPT is
going to give you some outputs which might go in a completely different direction
than your expectations. I would like you to get
creative and create various logo designs which would be a great
fit for my brand. Here we go. Type enter. So what have I done over here? Let's say, from a prompt
engineering point of view, from an entrepreneurship
point of view, from a marketing and
branding point of view, I've added my own preference, my own brand identity, right? Then I've gotten the
initial concepts based on my preference, but this does not mean
this is the best out. So what I'm going to have
HADGPT right now after extracting the initial logos by myself for record keeping, for my own further design, it's up to me how to
go about using them. Now I'm going to have CHAD GPT
share supplementary logos, which might be a good fit that I have probably overlooked
in the design process. Take a look at this. It
looks like there was an issue generating the
new set of creative logos. The image tool encountered an error during the process.
That's perfectly okay. Please go ahead and confirm if you'd like
me to read right now with a fresh batch
of creative concepts. I can explore styles like abstract modern negative space
sophisticated styles icon. That's perfect. This happens perfectly. This is
normal to happen. It's perfectly okay. Once you go about
dealing with CHAT GPT, sometimes it has a heavy
requirement like this, where it gets creative
and it requires the utilization of resources,
it might get stuck. But that's perfectly okay. I'm just simply going to
have the same prompt again. You can just simply copy it. Here we go. And
pasted. That's it. And that's great to have. You're able to see in front of you how the interaction would go in a vivid way
because it's a tool. CHAD GPT is a tool. It has limitations. It gets things wrong. That's why you need to know how to use it in the
best way possible, how to understand
its shortcomings, how to tweak it,
how to modify it, to extract the best output. And that's what I'm sharing with you as part of the
current class. Now, HAGPT actually,
at this current stage, was able to apply the prompt
to create various designs. And what I would expect is
that HAGPT will not stick to the current color
palettes or design theme. It will shift to something
completely different simply to reflect variations and as
expected, take a look at this. Now, if you notice had
GPT is combining at this current stage
different design elements to reflect the key differences. But it actually used
the same color palette, but it shifted the graphics. Take a look at this. So we got the first design over here, roasted beans. Let's
compare it to the first. It's different,
right? Here we go. Roasted beans, this seems like a cleaner design
compared to this one. It has changed the graphics. It has changed the topography. Take a look at this
one over here, roasted beans and
compare it to this one. So the feedback from Chat GPT
at this current stage seems more professional compared
to the initial concept. This is very powerful. So once you go about
this, you inject the prompt to have
Chat GPT get creative, the output becomes
more polished, right? It becomes more polished. So we're leveling things up from an initial logo
design concept now to a more polished
logo design concept, but we are not done yet. We're going to take
it one level further, which is coming up next.
6. Logo Design Variations Part-1: Welcome back. Now I'm going to show you a tactic
that you're able to use to help you create endless variations
of these logos, such that you're able
to select the best one that aligns with your
own unique expectations. Take a look at this
powerful application. I want you to create a series of variations
for the logos, such that each sample is unique different than the prior concept shared. So this prompt by itself
will actually push HATGPT to keep pumping logos. Every single one of them is different compared to the other. Let's take
a look at this. And like I mentioned,
once you add this prompt, hATGPT will not just simply
keep on proceeding endlessly. You have to keep pushing it in order to get the outputs
over and over again. I'm going to show you so I
want you to create a series of variations for the
logos, which are unique. This is the output from
the current prompt. Now you'll notice hATGPT will
try to create logos using the prompt in order to create something from the
initial concept, yet it's quite different. So we'll use the
previous concepts, the previous designs that we
have created as a reference. Even though they
look really good, they are quite professional. We could use them as is. But like I've mentioned,
I'd like to take things further in
terms of perfecting the logo design process
in order to make it uniquely aligned with your own
situation and preferences, and feel free to extract at any stage of your
creative process, the logo which matches
your expectation, I'm just simply
showing you the way. How could you come up with
different variations? How could you go
about creating logos, one after the other as
professionally as possible, such that you have
an endless pool of options for your brand, for your business,
for your project, or whatever it is. Here we go. Now, take a look at the output compared
to the previous one. We were able to get
the first variation. But you would notice that had GPT is still sticking
to the color palette. So I'm going to say, proceed, but feel free to use any
colors that seem like a good fit without
the need to stick to the same colors over
and over again. So this basically would have Chad GPT go about
the creative process without the confinement
that we have established in the initial stage by establishing the brand
requirements, right? So we're going to be adding the following prompt over here. So we have the first
variation which took place through the design,
the colors, right? We're able to get
different designs compared to the previous logo outputs. However, we need to have some sort of a
drastic variation. Now, let's take a look at the
output that Chad GPT would have based on the current
prop. And here we go. Take a look at this output
where HAGPT right now included colors as part of the logo design
iteration process. Compared to the previous ones, it was sticking exclusively
to the color palettes or the brand identity that
we have established earlier. However, by adding
the following prompt, now I have HAGPT generating logos using colors
without the need for repetition or
confining itself to the color palettes that was established through
the brand identity. Now we are getting next level to the next level of
the design process. We're adding variations. We're adding more
polished logos. We're adding different
colors that we could use within
the design process. Now what I'm going to have
CHA GPT is I'm going to, let's say, the current logos, they have text in them. I'm going to have CHAD GPT
change the theme completely. By shifting from a text
based logo to something which has nothing to do
with text whatsoever. That way, you're able to get some inspiration and you have
variations for your design.
7. Logo Design Variations Part-2: Welcome back. Now, let's proceed by eliminating the text
from the logos and have a different set
of variations for logos without a text
based theme or design. I want a series of logo designs which do
not include any text. Feel free to use any
color or design approach, such as minimal
modern, et cetera. So this gives hATGPT more creative room to create the logos in line
with the brand identity. So what you have
noticed over here, we started off with having a
confined set of parameters, constraints in order
to set up CHAT GPT, and slowly at every
single stage, we are expanding the
allowable limits. So basically what you have seen over here is that
we were actually starting with a narrow
approach by confining or creating constraints for the operation of CHAD GPT in terms of the
creative process. And as we proceed at
every single step, we are providing more
creative room for hATGPT to inject designs
and create variation. This is a very powerful
prompt engineering strategy because if you take a look at the structure that
we have established, it's very professional,
very systematic, and we are building
up the design process one level at a
time from concepts to more polished
designs to having more variations to
including different themes, which will allow us to have endless supply of
creative logos. And by the way, this usually
takes months to go about. Not just simply a matter
of minutes or hours. You'll spend months
trying to come up with a professional logo. So how about having
a series of logo? All of them look professional. I just simply a
matter of you picking the one which best
fits your application. So at this current stage, we are able to have more variations in terms
of the theme, in terms of the color. That way we have an
endless pool of logo designs that we're able to utilize for our
unique application. So now Chat GPT is
actually shifting from this variation to something more diverse in
terms of the design, the elements, the visuals, the graphics, the colors, which will help you find tune new creative
process or actually get inspired to go for a different step to shift the design completely
to something else. Excellent. Now,
let's take a look at the output from HATGPT
if you have noticed, I tried to comply as much
as possible by adding diverse outputs for the logos,
like the ones over here. However, it still included
text in some of the logos. That's perfectly fine.
That's perfectly okay. But why did it do this? Because I've mentioned,
feel free to use any color or
design approach. So, as part of the
prompt structure, I've directed HADGPT
for logos without text. But at the same time,
I've included that. Feel free to get
creative by adding any design approach
that you would implement as part of
the creative journey, and it injected one logo to comply with the prom
that I've generated. At this current
stage, you're able to understand how you
could shift from various logo options based
on your own preferences, that we are able to create professional looking logos
in the best way possible. But we're not done
yet. I'm going to show you how to take your
creative journey for, let's say,
demonstration purposes, for presentation purposes. You're able to go through the display of such a logo
in a professional fashion.
8. Showcasing the Logo Designs On Your Products: Come back. Now I'm going to have Chat GPT, select the best logo
from all of the logos in order to save up some time
in the creative process. Feel free to pick whatever logo that you'd
like, by the way. You can just simply proceed with the same prompt I've
shared with you previously to get every
single logo by itself, and then you have the ability to download it and you can use it as is for your own ventures
or for your own project. But I'm going to show you how to showcase your logos in
a professional fashion. At this stage, create
one single logo, which is the best design option based on the previous results. So over here, at this stage, I have walked through the
journey of the logo design creative process by guiding
Chat GPT from the brand, all the way to logo
concepts to variations, to some creative freedom. To end up with asking
HGPT to combine everything that we
have done so far in order to create a single logo. This is a very professional
prompt engineering tactic, where we are actually
having HAGPT go through the process of
finding all of these designs, then to end up suggesting a single design based on all of these samples
that we have generated, which will help you get
inspired in the process, and you might be surprised
that you might be landing at one design which is the best design within
the entire process. So it's very important
at this stage to try to come up with
a design for the logo, select a logo because we
are going to be using it as part of the
showcasing of the logo. And here we go. So based on all of
the previous designs, this is the logo, which seems like the best
fit combining all of these previous
designs such that we have a final winner
sort of speak. Now, feel free to change
this as you get to the finalized stage where you have one solid logo that
you would like to use. Then you could add some sort of modifications to
it. It's up to you. Now I'm going to show you
how to showcase the logo. That way, you're able
to visualize how would it look like
based on your theme, your product, your
packaging, whatever it is. Now, display the logo on a mockup for the
coffee cup or mug. Since this is a logo for a cafe, I would like to see how
would this logo look like on day to day products
or items such as a mug, a takeaway cup or a menu, for example, that way, I have a clear idea
whether or not this is the design I would like
to go or proceed with. So now I'm going
to have Chat GPT, display this logo
on a mu, a coffee, a cup or mug, whatever it
is in line with the brand, in line with the
project I'm working on. That way, I could just simply
decide that, you know what? This is the logo I would
like to proceed with. And I truly hope
that this gives you some inspiration for
your own projects. It's not just simply a
matter of selecting a logo, and then you have
to proceed with it. On the contrary. We
need to see if this is the best fit for our
application, or not. And this is what I'm trying
to help you over here. You're able to see this from
a realistic point of view, how it fits within the
entire design process, within the entire creative
process. And here we go. Take a look at this
delightful design. This is an actual coffee cup that you would get
from the cafe. Take a look at the
logo over here. We got roasted beans.
This is the logo. Like I've mentioned,
I'm showing you how to have a realistic design, a realistic representation, and it doesn't get
more real than this. This is the actual coffee cup, and you got your
professional logo designed and placed on
your actual product, which is the current coffee cup. And this applies to any project
that you're working on. You're able to visualize
the outputs or the outcomes in terms of how would your professionally looking logo look
9. Wrapping up: So, what do you
think? I truly hope that you found the
class helpful. If it helped you get
inspired and you're able to create logos which
actually make sense, then it's a job well done, and congrats on getting this
far with the current class. I make sure that you follow my profile for the latest
releases and updates, and I look forward to receiving your feedback on the current
class until the next class.
