1. Introduction: Designing professional logos is a time consuming process, very costly. It's quite hectic, and often you end up with results which literally do not align with your own vision. That's why in this current class, we're going to be using Canva, which is a free tool in combination with artificial intelligence within Canva to create and design professional looking logos within minutes. Forget about minutes within a couple click in a second, saving you time, saving you effort, saving you the whole hassle of getting a professional logo out in the world, whether to reflect your own personal brand, your own business, your own professional or entrepreneurship journey, whatever it is, marketing, branding, the list goes on. If you're planning on creating a professional logo with fraction of the time, fraction of the effort in the best way possible, saving you the whole headache and hassle of communication. Trust me, I've been designing logos professionally when you're going to do this through the involvement of professional logo designers, graphic designers, a lot of back and forth communication takes place, and in order for your vision to be reflected in the same way that you would like it to, it's hectic. We could take this out of the way by simply using Canva, artificial intelligence within Canva, specifically in a strategic way in order to create professional logos, which we're going to be tackling in this current class. 2. Your Project : Your project for the class revolves around designing your own logos. For whatever purposes that you have, you're going to use Canva, which is taught in this current class in order to create your professional looking logos. After which you're going to be sharing your results with the rest of the community for feedback. 3. Setting Up the Canva AI Logo Maker: The first thing that we need to do is we need to navigate to canva.com, and just simply go to the browser and type in canva.com, and this will be basically your homepage. You need to have a free account, whatever you're going to be learning in this current class. You do not need to have the paid account or the paid version, but you can always opt in for a free trial. You get about 30 days to do so. Now, in order to create logos using artificial intelligence within Canva, you need to navigate to apps, on the left hand side on the display bar, click on Apps and this will just simply display for you a series of different categories, the different categories that you could find within Canva for various applications for teams, for productivity, creativity, HR, sales, whatever it is. But we're going to go for the option for AI POW. Now, click on AI powered option basically to land at the following page in which you have different tools, different artificial intelligence applications which are integrated within a Canva. Some of them, they are free. Some of them they have free trial. Some of them they got paid versions, so it's up to you to go about the best option for you. But in this current class, I'm going to show you a very important and very powerful tool, which is this one over here. Jen logo, simply click on it. And once you do so, you are going to install it on your own display. So this is the prompt that you're going to see. It shows you a bit of details about the application, which is going to be integrated. Now, either here you have the option to use it in an existing design or use it in a complete new design. Now, I'm going to click on using it in a new design, and then we're going to transition to the next lesson where we get to apply this. 4. Creating Your Canva Logo in Seconds: And welcome back. So now I'm going to click on US in a new design, and then I have the display window over here. If you notice that this application actually spans beyond logo design. You can use it for other purposes as well. But since we're focusing on logos in this current class, 500 by 500 pixels is basically the standard options. I'm going to select logos, and you do have the following canvas displayed in front of you, along with the prompt window. Notice at the bottom over here, you have the option to select different aspect ratios, which indicates that this application is not just simply for logos, but additional applications as you prefer, for example, thumbnails, vertical, horizontal aspect ratios, it's up to you. But since we're focusing on logo design, so we're going to be using it for this purpose. Here we're going to be typing the prompt. Now, here's a pro tip. If you have no idea how to go about crafting prompts, just simply go on Chat GPT, and you could ask it to create a prompt for you to be added as part of the Canvas a suite of tools or applications like the one that we're doing, and that way you could copy it and paste it. But for demonstration purposes, let's say, we need to create a logo for a coffee shop. Create a realistic logo. Notice the adjectives over here when you have some sort of descriptive of a certain theme, realistic, cartoonish, vibrant, dark, all of these affect the result directly. Create a realistic logo, which is in three D. Let's see if it's able to do so for a coffee shop, with the name coffee. Okay, as cliche as that sounds. And the name of the coffee shop should be part of the logo. Then we click on Gener now, we're going to be waiting for a couple seconds in order to get the image. Now, as we wait for this, I want to share something with you that when you're getting the results directly within a free application, it's important that you give free trial a shot. Why? Because if you'd like to go for some edits on the actual logo to save up some time, you need to have the pro version for some of the key features as I'm going to show you if you would like to erase certain parts or to actually have certain elements added in the easiest way possible. Now let's take a look at the design. You could start again. You could save it to the folders that you have or you can just simply click Add to Design, and that way you have the ability to map it over here. So I've clicked on ADT Design, and if you notice the logo is quite nice, right? It fulfills the requirement. It's quite artistic, quite realistic, and it gives you that three D representation. Keeping in mind, this is a basic prompt, right? Now, like I mentioned, if you notice over here, we got a spelling mistake, some blurry fonts, spelling mistake. So this application helps, but it's not that powerful. So when you do so, here's a protip. You click on the Design, click on AD. And then once you click on Edit, you have the options to select the areas that you would like to modify, as well as adding certain effects or filters, and you could explore these at your own convenience. But the magic studio over here is the powerful one. And this requires the trial version, the actual paid version because we have the magic eraser, where, for example, if I click on brush, I have the ability to select the size of the brush and to actually just simply highlight certain areas that I would like to fix. So when I select the brush over here, notice what pops in magic eraser, magic grab, and magic Edit. These are very, very powerful. Like, I've tried them for the pro version. You could try them as well. These are really powerful. For example, the magic eraser, I can just simply click on it, and then to erase this part entirely or the magic grab will help you to select, for example, the coffee cup and move it somewhere on the screen. The magic edit is one of the most powerful ones. You could actually transform any feature. Let's say the magic cup, I would like it to turn to a bouquet of flowers, for example, right? So all of these are different options that you could explore as part of the edits. This is a basic demonstration for one of the applications. Now let's transition to another application that you could use as well to create logos. Keeping in mind, these are various tools. It's a suite of tools, and I'm showing you the best approach to go about them to save you time and save you. 5. Taking It Further With Canva AI: And welcome back. Now we're going to add another tool, go to Apps over here and click on Apps. Now, I'm going to go for AI Powered again, click on AI Powered. And I'm going to search for logo. Here we go. Enter. You got Logomaker. You got different options. I would like to go for this logo maker because it's a nice and powerful one. So I'm going to click on Logomaker and then I have the ability to browse its capabilities and open. Here we go. So I'm going to click on this, and I'm going to remove this current design. Or how about we keep it as is. And by the way, you could just simply experiment with this. That way you could compare the before and after. This is something that I would like to do. I will go for a certain application, and I will get the result and I put them over here. And that way you can just simply take a look at the prompt. You can just simply copy paste the same prompt over and over again and get the best output. This is a pro tip that you could apply. But again, for demonstration purposes, I'm going to show you how you would go about this in a simplistic fashion. Create a realistic logo in three D for coffee shop with the name. Coffee. And the name of the cafe should be part of the logo. Here we go. Now we click on Create. And again, like I've mentioned, you could just simply stack these. And how would you go about this? You could either keep adding the same prompt to different applications or change the entire prompt completely and just take a look at the results. Then you can display them back to back and then pick the best one. Take a look at this current design. Let me stretch it out. Here we go. It's quite good, quite powerful. I like it. Coffee, and it's modern in design. So I'm liking this app more in terms of how aligned is it with the output? Now, let's change the prompt. Create a three D cartoonish logo for a coffee shop. With the name coffee, and the name of the cafe should be part of the logo. And what you have noticed is it's fast compared to the previous one. So when it creates the logo, it doesn't take too long compared to the previous application. So here's another one. It's cartoonish. Okay, excellent. Right. But you have noticed something that I don't have the ability over here to actually control the size of the logo, right? This is something that you need to be aware of, because some of these applications, it just simply spits out 50 by 50 and that's me lid. Like, you got this following logo over here and logo over here. If I stretch it out, it loses contrast, right? However, for the other one, if I stretch it out, it maintains, let me delete this one here, go. It maintains the same vivid contrast. So this requires you to actually try different either prompts, or different applications that you can just simply access on the navigation over here. You can go to apps, and you could test different logomers. And when you click on any of them, like I've mentioned, the pro tip would be to generate them side by side, and that way you have a clear idea how you would go about this and selecting the best one for you. Let me go for one more demonstration for you to get this better. Notice that this one has the ability to select as well the ratios, and I'm going to go for this one as well. A realistic logo, which is a three D for coffee shop, and this is very nice because it just simply added the same prompt. So I'm going to just simply click Generate for you to get the idea. Here we go. I'm generating the logo, and some of them, they have various speeds depending on how they compile the prompt. But I'm going to demonstrate the differences in these applications. That way, you could select the one that best fits your own requirements. Like I mentioned, you got two options. Either you change the application or change the prompt that we put over here. That way you could get the best results in the best way possible. And here we go. I think we're getting a better result. So I'm going to click Add to Design, and here we go. So you're getting closer and closer the more you iterate with this. And frankly, speaking, I like this design better, and first of all, it has less mistakes, but the color contrast is better. And take a look at the coffee cup over here. Which is quite more vivid compared to the previous one that we got over here, right? So these are just basic demonstrations for you to experiment with. Feel free to try them out as you're using artificial intelligence tool within Canva to create logos. 6. Wrapping Up: What do you think? You can save a lot of time with AI, combining Canva and AI to create professional looking logos, no longer wasting time, wasting effort, cost impact, which is very crucial when it comes to designing logos. If you're going to hire a logo designer, often, the process is costly. Not to mention time consuming. A lot of iterations go back and forth, wasting a whole lot of time on communication, which is sliced through Canva and artificial intelligence. I look forward to receiving your feedback on the current class, and make sure that you follow my profile for the latest releases and updates, and I'll see you in the next class.
