2. Introduction of interface: Welcome to our first lesson
of Canva, Essential. In this lesson, we are
going to learn about the introduction and also
about the interface of Canva. Well, I'm going to be showing
you both the interfaces of, let's say the web browser E, and also the one which we
downloaded or the software one. Without any further ado, Let's start off with our
browser based Canva. We're going to do is open up any of the web browser which
you have on your device. As you can see that
I have opened up my Opera G. Now from here, what I'm going to do is
start searching for Canva. Canva, okay, let's
just search for Canva. Okay? Just cut this
off and hit on Enter. And you can see that I have www.canva.com and hit on Enter. And you can see
that an interface like this will appear up. Now what are you going
to do from here? You're going to do
is click on login or sign up if you
don't have an account. Well, obviously you're
going to do sign up. And if you do have
an account just like you've seen, I have my account. It directly logged me in my account on Canva
on my web browser. Now this is the interface of how it actually looks like
on the web browser. Basically, this is
the same on how it also seems in the
software version. But as we've shown you how
the web browser one works, let me just take you directly to my software so that you can also see how it works on
that software version. Now I have opened
up my software, or let's say our
canvas software. Now one thing about using Canva is that you have to stay
connected to the Internet. And also you have to
stay connected with your account now as I have already connected
it to my account. Now let's just show you
about its interface. Now when you open up Canva, it will take you to the
home page or you can also see the triple version. From here, you can
click on File Edit, View, Tab Window and Help. Well, these are the
ribbons which you see on Canva when
you click on them. So you can go through
different options in them. You can go through a couple
of other ribbons too, and find out a couple
of other tools. Now this is the
home tab on Canva. You can also see this
option over here. You can find out a
couple of these options. Now there is home
magic studio projects, template brand apps, invite
member, and also trash. So let's start off
with the first one, which is going to
be your account and also Canva Pro if you want to use the premium
version of Canva. We will also show you
later on about the free and also the difference about using premium or let's say Pro. You can buy any subscription
from Canva from over here. You can upgrade it. Then you
will find out that there are a lot of difference
of using free and also, you know, using Canva Pro. Then we have Is Home,
which is this one. Then we have is
this magic studio. Now, for magic studio, this is basically AI power
tools which Canva provides. You can use the tools for using or making up
a lot of things. You can see from ideas
with magic design. You see it over here,
You see it over here. Presentation videos, maybe a couple of designs.
You can see, right? You can see transform
your content. You can see all of
them over here. That changes from one by one. You can see that is magic morph, magic switch, magic,
animate text to video. Then we have this text to image. And all of those, you
can go through them, you can just fiddle with it so that you can use this option or this functionality of
magic studio in Canva. Then we have is this project. So all of the projects
which you have or which you are working
on will appear over here. It doesn't matter
which category it is. Let me show you about
what category or what type of category
which I'm talking about. I'll show it to you later.
We have is your project. And if you want to
use other projects, let's say shared with you. So if anyone invites you on
any project they want to work on or you guys want to work on simultaneously on
a single project, it will appear over
here on this shared with you and all of those and the recent ones will
also appear over here. And also over here, you can work back on it whenever you want to.
Then we have a start. So basically this is
like the favorite items which you have on your
panel or your workspace. So you can also save it up as
a favorite, you can write, click on it and you can
also select on this, click on Market Up. We can save it up as making
it a favorite or Start. That's like totally up to you how you're
going to work with it. You can also add people, well, we're going to show all
the briefs about it later on and you can also upload
specific files over here. It's totally up to you. I'm
going to go back to home. Now we have is the templates. Well, just like I said
on my intro, that Figma, or let's say Canva has a vast amount of resources and a vast
amount of templates. And not only templates,
as in presentation, there's going to be
presentations such as docs, whiteboards,
presentation videos, Instagram posts and all of them. Okay? You can make
a lot of these. Well, just like I said,
there are going to be a couple of categories. There's flyers, there's poster. Documents. There is logos, Instagram posts,
Facebook post resumes. And you see these are the categories which
you can make in Canva. So there are a
couple of templates which you can use according
to all of you know, let's say all of
these categories. So it's going to be up to you
what you're going to make, okay? You can see it over here. And it doesn't matter
because you can also make them on your phone
or for your phone. It's totally up to you. You can see it over
here. There's business, social media education. These are the other categories, two of what type of
templates you want. There's photos, icons, two, you can use photos if you want any photos from here, you
can also select them. And if you want any icons, you can also select on icons and search for any icon
you want to use. Then you also have your
content creators you follow, you can follow up
content creators which you have over
here on Canva. Then it's also brand
template which I'm going to be showing you
later on in this lesson. And there is also
this app section in Canva which increases the
functionality of using Canva. At the same time when
you're using the same app, you can see all of
them over here with, well, this is just
like an extension. Then there is this
content planner you can fix out which day
you want to work on, what content you can
see the mockups to. You can see there's going to be a lot of mockups which
you'll be able to apply, such as smartphones,
op, laptops, tablets. Then all of those, let's
say even T shirt maybe. Then there is product photos. You can also make product photos and publish them online so that other people can see
it and you can gain reach, or gain attention from them. Now as we are done with this part of going
to go back home, well this is all
you have in apps. Then the other one is going
to be invite members. If you want to invite any
people to work simultaneously, just click on this option
and you can work on it simultaneously
at the same time. It saves a lot of
time for editing because let's say Works or some software does
not contain this, you know, feature of
working simultaneously. Because you have to
send, send it to some specific person and that specific person will
work on it later on. Because you cannot work on it at the same time or see both
of it at the same time. But in case of Canva, you don't have to worry about it because you both can
see what you guys are working on and you can see that it saves
up a lot of time. So I will later on suggest you to use this pro
feature of Canva. Then at the end we have trash. Well, you know, a
lot of software these days have this
trash can or recycle bin. So if you delete
anything, you know, maybe accidentally or maybe
sometimes deliberately, but later on you think that, oh, I need that, the
trash helps you. In that case, you can also recycle or just recycle
that stuff which you have on the trash of Canva and then restore it back again so that you can
work on it back again, because all of the
content which you have will be saved
here on trash. And if you want to remove
it, you can remove it. Or if you want to
recycle, you can also recycle it according
to your needs. We are done with this
part on Canva interface. Now the first thing
which we see over here is this search bar. Now in the search bar,
this is also going to be of Magic Studio over here and
also a bit of search bar. You can type or click
on whichever type of content you want
to start working on or what design
you want to do. You can see this for you. There's docs, there's whiteboard,
there's presentation, there's social media
video website, there's logo, and a
couple of other things. You can see infographics,
photo collage, desktop, wallpaper, graph
and charts, book cover. Then we have this mind
map, magazine cover, zoom, virtual
background calendar, and a lot of them. Okay. A lot of them. You also have this
phone wallpaper which you'll be able
to use bookmarks. Then we have a lot
of these things which you'll be able to make in, can book select any of
the one which you want. You can also click
on Custom Size and make up your own
size if you want to. Then you can also upload your own file
whenever you want to. Well, but just make sure
that you are connected to the Internet so that you get
full functionality of Canva. Now another thing is
that you can go off the settings and fix up a
lot of things in Canva. When you click on Settings, you can see it's all about your account login, security
message preferences, privacy settings,
maybe team details, people or the people you add up will also
appear over here. All the details will
appear over here because you are the owner and the
description of the team. You can edit and add up on team and name the details,
add up groups. Over here you can have building plans,
permissions, app purchase, history domains, and all of
those will appear over here, so make sure to go
through them later on. And then we have this activity. It's a lot like the
messaging part. You can let other people know that this is done or what
you want to work on. It will appear over here, okay? And if you see that
that work is done, you can just keep
it on completed. And if you add any people in it, that person will also
see that work or that work is completed and you guys can work on
different components. And even if you
invite other people, it will also appear
on this activity. Section of Canva. Then the last one which you have is going to be our
Create a Design. Then you can select
on Custom size or whichever one you want. You can see over here, you can select on
the resolution or the template you want to
work on and select on them. And that specific
workspace will be created for you and you
can start working on it. Then the last one, we also have the same option over
here on your account. You can sign out if you want to. You can also refer friends and also go to privacy
policy if you want to. Now as we are done with
this home tab of Canva, now let's try creating a design. I'm going to do is click on
Home or maybe click on this. I'm going to do is go off
the presentation maybe, or open up anything you want to. Let me just show you about the interface of how it looks like. You can see that there
is this left section of the Canva and there's this
top section of Canva also. This part as this lesson
is about the interface. I'm going to show
it to you where the tools are and where
can you find them. Now there is this option
over here called Open Menu. You can go through them
whenever you want to. Now here is going
to be our designs. You can select your
templates from over here. You can select the layouts. You can select the styles, whichever one you want. You can also add in elements. You can also try it out. Now you can see go
off the layouts, you can add text, add photo. It's totally up to you now. Whichever one you want. If you want pie chart, click on them. If you want pictogram,
click on them if you want. Agenda. Let's see. Do is make a list. Click
on List, and there we go. We have our layouts, and
then we have the templates. It also works the same way. Select your own category of what type of template
you want to use. And there we go, We have all the templates which
will appear over here, but make sure that you're
connected to the Internet, so that you get full
functionality of it. Then we have is the elements. Well, the elements
is going to be whichever component or
element you want to apply in your specific page
or your specific design. Now you can see that there are a couple of elements and
also the search bar. Whichever element
you want to use, just click on its
search on over here. And you will basically find out all of the elements
which you want to use. Then you can also generate the AI image of that
specific element. You can click on this over here. Generate your own element, the press on open, and there we go, you have
this magic media over here. So you can also generate
your own video too, but make sure to use the credits of your pro feature of Canva. It doesn't work on free Canva, so I'll show it to you on the
premium, you know, version. Then we have this text option. All of the customization
that you want to do through this section of
text will be over here. You also have Brand Kit. You can edit them up
whenever you want to. You can go through
other options such as categories and also change the
font whenever you want to. By selecting on these options, then you can also add
in your text box, you can search for fonts or
search for combinations. It's totally up to you. Then
we have this brand content. We'll show it to you later on. Well, it's a bit different when we are
working on brand content. So we'll also give you
an extra lesson on the scores about brand content and how you can customize them. Then we have is this upload. All the things you
upload from your PC or maybe your drive
will appear over here. You can also record
yourself over here and see. You can see over here.
You can also get a video and also photo and also
maybe just your voice. Okay, so you can
upload videos and photos altogether from
this option of uploads. Then we have this raw section. You can draw anything over
here on your Canvas page, selecting this option over here. You can see it like
this over here. And you can press on control Z so that you can undo
all the process. Now the last thing we
have is this project. So all the projects
which you worked on or you will be working on
will appear over here. If you want to change them, just click on any one
of them you want. You can go through designs, you can go through
folders on your PC, and you can also go through
the images which you worked on or which you
uploaded on Canva. All of them will
appear over here. The last one we have is
this app or extension. Whichever extension you apply on Canva while you are
working on Canva, they will appear over here. You can see as I did not apply any app or any extension
or add ins in my Canva, so there's currently no app. But you can also apply you want and there's
also this category. What type of P you want? If you want charts,
click on charts. If you want photos,
click on photos. If you want Bulk
Creativity, click on it. There's audio background
videos translated. All of those extensions
will appear over here including Google
Drive and Image In. Okay, there's also splash
for photos and all of those is apply them and you can use them
directly from Canva. You don't have to get out
of Canva and use it on your web browser or
maybe other software. Hope you understood
about this left part of this left panel
of Canva now on the. You know top part, there's this file section you
can go through file, there's this create new
design import files. You can name up
your presentation or name up the project
you're working on. You can go to Settings, you
can fix up your language. There's this save option. Save to which
folder, make a copy, download that file,
version history, the commons text and
replace, and also help. You can go through
them here from here. And in the magic switch you
have this option over here. You can see that it transforms different stuff into a bit
of a bit of animation, a bit of more attraction to it. So you can go through
magic switch, then we have this undo and redo, and then we have all changes saved as this is a cloud based software, so
everything you apply over here will be saved
directly whenever you applied. Then you can see the
name of the project. You can change it
up from over here. You can see you can change
the plans to then we have how many people are connected to the specific
project you're working on. You can apply our add in people from here you can also
see your own self. Then we have is the
insights which people are working on where and how
many views you're getting, how many views you're getting, how many engagements are there, how many unique links are there, and how many social
medias are there. You can go through each
and every one of them, or how many people went through social media
and saw your project. You can go through
and see every, and each and every one of them. If you want to present your presentation, click on Present. And then you have this
present full screen. Present our view, and
also present and record. And after you've done
selecting whichever type of view you want, just
click on Present. And there we go, it will be
presented on your screen. Let me just show it to you. Click on Present,
and there we go. We have our presentation.
We're going to have press on Escape to get out. And you can also add in
comments if you want to. Then the last one
is called Share. In a Share option,
you will be able to share it with
people you want and collaborate with people present with websites and
also public links. You can download it, shared
it on socials directly. You don't have to
go to other website or go to that software
and share it on socials. You can just link up your
social account to Canva, can share directly. Then we have this more option is going
to be a couple of them. Copy to clipboard,
template link embeds and the phone and the other socials which you want to connect it to. It's like totally up to you. Well, it works similarly to the phone
software as sharing, you can share to other
people or you can share directly to your account. It works just the
way it works there. Then you have this
Canva assistant, you can see magic write
text and also share. You can also show more to
see whichever thing you have to upgrade or
update on. That is what we have here in
the top panel of Canva. Now at the bottom
panel, we have notes. You can see you'll be able to apply in notes if you want to, so that the person you are
sharing it to can see it. Then we have duration
you want to see. If you don't want to see like you click on it and
then change the page. You can fix up duration so that it automatically
changes page from page according to your need or according
to that specific time. Then we have this timer to see
how many time is going by. You can apply in voice, you can apply in music. It's totally up to you
as I don't want it. I'm going to click on it again. And there we go there. Then you can go through page, page from page one. You can see from over here. Then I can go to page
two. Zoom in and out, you can go through that. You
can fix out a zoom or you can click on Fill or maybe
Fit. It's up to you. Then whichever type
of view you want, maybe grid or single
ones, it's up to you. Then you can also present it in full view option by
clicking on that, which is also the
presentation option or let's say the present option. Then there are a
couple of option over here that say
background color, you'll be able to
change the background. Then we have is
this timing option. And also the position,
whichever position you want, you'll be able to go
through them on layers. The last one is copy style. We'll show it to you later on in this lesson when we go
to our first lesson. So hope you
understood everything about the interface of Canva. Well, this is basically how it works on most of the cases. But sometimes when you're
using video and all of those, you can see that it will
be a bit different. But that is basically how the
work space of Canva works. You can see when
we're doing videos, this is how it will work. Then you can see you'll
be able to just, you know, increase
or decrease them. There's this duration,
there's the zoom pages, and all of those will
appear over here. And it can also play it up
however you want it to. So if you don't
understand a part, please let us know and we'll guide you through
the whole process. In our first lesson, we're
going to learn about some basic tools of Canva and also show you a
couple of examples of it.
3. Text shape and image tool: Welcome back to
our course lesson, or our first lesson
of Canva, Essential. In this lesson, we are
going to learn about text shape and image tools. Well, these are very important
when you are working with graphics on a software
without any further ado, Let's open up Canva and also
work with the tools and show you how you can
work with them step by step and also in
how many methods. As you can see that
I have opened up Canva on my screen right now. What I'm going to do is, let's say I'm going to create a design and you can use
whichever one you want, but I'm going to click on
Presentation so that I can show you all the tools which I basically
need right now. Now I'm not going to be
using any templates. I'm going to use
this blank template to show you my three tools, which we're going
to be image tool, the shape tool, and also
about the text tools. Now, in our previous lesson, I've shown you about where
you can find those tools. Right now, the first
thing I'm going to do is going to be starting
off with my Text tool. Now in text tool, there
are a couple of things. Okay, even though as we have an extended version
of this lesson about text or customizing text, I'm just going to be showing
you about the text tool, about how we can find them and how you will
be able to use it. First up, click on text. And if you want to
make a text box, just click on at a text box because you cannot apply
any text over here. No, I'm going to do
is cut this off. Now what I'm going to do
is going to be clicking on Quick Brown Fox, Um, ecologist. I'm going to do is
keep it this way. Very classic, very basic. Now, as this is the text tool, now there are a couple
of fonts you can apply. First off, select this text
and you can go off through over here and use whichever
font you want to use. You can see a couple of them
have this icon over here. Those are basically,
the Pro features are the pro canva features. We're going to go
through them later on. I'm going to just
cut this one off. You can use whichever
one you want from over here because it's going to be up to you whichever
one you're going to use. You can also see that
it will give you a preview of how that font is. Let me just select on
this text control A. You can select whichever
font you want. Okay, it's up to you. You can also search for calligraphy or maybe
according to the category, which type of font you want to search. Let's say I want Greek. Then it will obviously give you all the results according
to that category of Greek. But make sure that you are
connected to the Internet so that you get full
functionality of Canva. Then you also have textiles. It's up to you, but we're going to go
through that later on. This is most of the
things that we have in this text option of,
let's say Canva. This is basically it
on our text tool, which you will be finding over here on Va, on this section. You can also go through
Brand Kit if you want to. You can also edit the
Brand Kit if you want to. You can find out logos, colors, fonts, titles of title, heading, and all the ones basically
I'm going to do now. What we're going
to see is going to be the shapes or the shape tool, which you're going to
find out in Canva, or what Canva has
to offer to you. Now if you want to
apply any shape in your presentation
or maybe any of your design or any of the
documents you're working on. First things first is that you have to make sure you're
connected to the Internet. Then what you're going to
do is go over the elements. Now in the elements,
there are going to be a couple of elements that you'll be able to apply
on your document. Now from here, you
can find out that there is this option
called shapes. Okay, First thing you're
going to do is click on CO. When you click on all, it will give you a vast amount
of shape to select from. Even though if those shapes
do not appear over here, which you want, make
sure the searching over here and you will basically see all the shapes will
appear over there. Now from here I'm going to do is applying a couple of
shapes on my presentation, which I have over here
I'm going to do is click on this shape and you can see that shape has been applied. Obviously, you can change
the shape color later on, but let me just show it to you. You can see the color
option over here. You can see the color
has been changed. You can also change the stroke or the border. It's up to you. You can select or keep it or keep the weight of the border according to your meat to, if you want to apply
in different colors. It's also up to you. You should have this
ingredient, option two. Whichever one you
need, it's like totally up to you
going to work with it. All I'm going to do is keep it this way so it looks
a bit more better. Now I'm going to do is
apply in another shape. I'm going to make sure
to use this circle. Now if you want to increase the size, you can
also increase it. You can also decrease the size. But obviously if you just let go of shaft, it
doesn't work that way. It's still going to give you
the perfect size circle. It's going to be up to now if you want to fix in
the left or right, you have to select on this
object and then fix it up. But if you hold on a shift now, it's still going to be that
perfect shape for you. You can see how it looks like. Now, it's going to be up to you how you're going
to customize it. I'm going to keep it side by side to this shape
I'm going to do, make sure to put
in this triangle. I'm going to keep
it right over here. And it's also given me that
alignment where it aligns with the bottom of
each and every shapes. Now I'm going to do keep it
to be this one over here. I'm going to do, select the
color. White. There we go. Looks a lot more better. I'm going to do is
keep it like this. I'm going to make sure
that it is a bit fatter. I'm going to change
the color over here. I'm going to do is change
this color to white. There we go. Now you can see how it looks like and how
beautiful it looks. Now I'm going to do is apply another shape by
clicking on Elements. That I'm going to do is go off to Shapes and then I'm going to do is find out maybe a pentagon or maybe a hexagon,
which I'm going to use. Let's say I'm going
to use this pentagon, which I have, or
maybe the other ones. It's up to you. Now, I'm going
to click on this pentagon. And there we go, we have
our pentagon over here. Now you can also transform
it if you want to. You can also rotate
it just like this, okay? It's up to you. And you can see the smooth
flow of that specific object. You can see now it
has been perfectly aligned. There we go. Now from here I'm
going to do is select a different color,
maybe this color. And I'm going to do
select on Border. Maybe border should be a bit fatter that we going
to press on white. Or maybe even select on this and click on this and
keep it on white. This is basically how
you apply in shapes. In Canva, you want to apply in lines,
you can apply in lines. You can extend up the line, you can create more lines. You can see like this. You can change it, change the position. As you can see that you might not be able to select the line. Sometimes you have
this option over here to drag it and put it
wherever you want. You can also put them
behind in front. Well, we'll show it
to you later on. But let's just give you a couple more of shapes,
which you see over here. Any shape you want, let's
to do is type in hexagon, type in hexagon, hit on Enter, and you can see hexagon
has appeared over here. Just type in whichever
shape you want, and those will appear over here. Let's type in a
heart hit on Enter, and you can see the
heart is over here. Well, all the shapes will
not appear over here because a couple of
them are not visible. Make sure to search
it up over here, and you can apply
that specific shape on your project or on your
file, which you're working on. Now. Obviously, there
are also a couple of things which you can do
with the shape options. You click on this
option and you can fix, or animate or keep the position. Now just like I said, if you want something to be
above or let's say behind, let's say I want this
triangle to be above this. What I'm going to do is click on position that
I'm going to do, is go to back. You can see how it looks like. I'm going to just click
on this triangle. Now I want the field
to be transparent. I'm going to click on this
option, or maybe not this. I'm going to click
on this color, which is why I'm going
to click on this. And you can see now
it has no fill. And the behind one, or
let's say the pentagon, which you have in the behind, is now visible or
totally visible. Okay, I'm going to keep
it here so it looks good. I'm going to do
rotate it so that I can keep it like this. Select on this and maybe
keep it around over here. Here we go. Now we
have our shape. We can also group
them up together. Let's say a group control G. Now you can see both
of them are grouped. I can drag them, and they will not be
removed differently. But if I double click on this specific object
and then I ungroup it, now you can see you'll
be able to ungroup them and move them freely
however you want. This is what we have to
learn about the Shapes tool. Now the last thing we're
going to learn about is going to be our photo tool, or where we're going to find it. Now in the photo tool, it's also a bit different. Now, there are a
couple of ways of how you'll be able to
use the photo tool. Now let's show you
the first method. Now if you want to use any graphical tool
or maybe photos, you can go off the elements. Okay, now from elements, what you're going to do
is search for photos. I'm going to do search up
for photos head on Enter. And you can see in
this photos option, you'll be able to find out a couple of photos
according to your needs. Let's say I'm going
to do is search for landscape, hit on Enter. And then what you're
going to do is you have this option over here. Just click on Photos
and then you'll be able to use whichever
photo you want. And obviously as this is website based or web browser
based software, so it's going to connect, you have to stay connected to the Internet so that you
get full functionality. And also you get whatever resource you're
trying to search for. So you have to wait a
bit until it loads up. After it loads up, you can select that image and
also apply it on, you know, the project
which you have. You can see this couple of photos which I'll
be able to use now. Say I'm going to use this photo, click on that image
and you can see the photo has been
applied on my screen. Now you can see this is
how the photo tool works. Now there are a couple
of ways on a couple of things you can learn
about applying photos. You can click on
this and you have these all option set
images background. You can also set those
images background. It's up to you. We're going to go through these
lessons later on. We're going to press
on control Z and keep them however they are. Now if you hold on to
Alt and then you will basically see that you will
find out this crop option. Now if you hold on to Alt again, you will basically see
this is how it works. Now you have to hold
on to control Alt. Then you'll basically
find out that, you'll find out
that crop option, you can also hold on the shift so that you can crop
that specific image. Okay? Press control
Z, and there we go. So make sure you hold on
to shift and you can see how this photo works. You
can see how it works. Press control Z and keep it or reverted back
to how it was. Now another method of using
photos or the photo two, is that uploading
your own photos. Click on Upload, then you can find this option
called upload files. Now you can see that this
pop up interface has opened up and I'm on
my resources file. If you want to use them. I will be linking
this resource file with the course, so
you can use them. Now from here, if I
want to use any photo, I'm going to click on this
photo. Click on Open. It will upload itself up to canvas so that I can
use it later on too. This is one of the
advantage of using Canva. It just uploads it directly to Canva so that you don't have to upload it
over and over again, as this is web based
or browser based, it's going to upload itself as it's going to use it online. We have to wait a bit until that photo loads
up on our Canva. And then after it loads up, what we're going to do is
apply that specific photo. I'm going to press
on open and you can see upload
error unreachable. Then what you're
going to do is wait a bit and then upload the photo. Now you can see that my
photo is being uploaded on Canva and you can see also the bar of how much
it has been uploaded. Now as the photo
has been uploaded, I'm going to click on
this option over here, and it will directly be applied
on my screen over here. Now if you want to
make a duplicate, just click on that and
you will basically find out that there are
now two duplicates. Now if you want to crop that up, hold on a shift, and
then decrease the size. Hold on a shift and
decrease the size. But if you want to
increase the size, you can hold on a shift
and increase the size. It's up to you. If you drag it back, it's going to be a bit shorter because now you're
cropping the photo. Now you know most
of the tools about how you will be able
to use the text tool, then how you'll be able to use the shape tool and also
about the photo tool. Now after we've, we've all learned about the essentials or how you can use
those tools in Canva. Now let's learn a bit about how you can customize
them a bit more, or let's say a bit
more advanced. Well, it's not that advanced, so you might think that it's
going to be a bit complex. Okay? But it's not going
to be any complex. It's going to be very simple. Now, what if you want
to take the photos or take all of these photos
into a next letter? Now the first thing you're
going to do is select to both of them control, make it on the layer control. And it will be paste
it at the same place it was on the first layer, or let's say the first
page which we have. You can do that if you want to apply the same color over here. What you're going to do
is click on this option. Click on this over here. Now what you're going to do is you can see this over here. And you will also be able
to use the color which is being used by this specific
photo which I have. You can see the two photo
colors I'm going to do is click on the color
which I have over here. Now if you want to use
a bit of gradient, I'm going to click
a bit of gradients. You will be able to
use a bit of radiant. I'm going to add
your brand color. I'm going to click on this
color palette option. Now you'll be able to use
whichever color you want or maybe use the color which
I have over here on this. I'm going to click on
this option over here. Or maybe these colors
which I have over here. And then I'm going to
select the colors. Let's keep it on maybe this
one so that it matches it up. Okay, it's totally up to you. You can make up your
brand kit later on. Let's say I'm not
going to be showing you extra ones because
I'm going to be giving you a brief lesson about a lot of colors
and color palettes. Now you can do the same thing on each and every one
of these options. Now you can also duplicate
this one by clicking on this. Or you can also go off to
More and copy the same style. First off, you're going to
use click on this option. Click on this option,
Copy the same style. You can apply it
directly over here. And you can see
the same format or the same customizations have been applied on
the specific box. You can do the same
thing over here. Let's say one, this
triangle more. Click on its copy
style, paste it. Over here, you can see how
it has been. Paste it. Okay, so hope you understood everything about this lesson
on these three tools. And if you don't
understand the part, please let us know and we'll guide you through
the whole process. Now let's move on
to our next lesson, where we are going to learn
about the layers in Canva.
4. Layers: Welcome back to our, another lesson on Canva. Essential. In this lesson we are going to learn about
the importance of layers and also
how you can use multiple layers in
Canva in your project. Without any further ado, let's just open up Canva
and also the project, or let's say the file which we opened up first in
our previous lesson. As you can see that
I have opened up the same presentation file which I've been using in
my previous lesson. You can see that in
my previous file, which I've opened right now, has a couple of shapes, has a couple of photos. Now I'm going to do is make
a new shape over here. Now first thing I'm
going to do is get this circle control C control V. I'm going to paste
it at the center. Now I'm going to do is
take this photo over here. I'm going to do is crop this
up a bit, the same thing. Prop this up a bit. There we go. I'm going to do is
get the other stuff which we have over here. Maybe I'm going to control C.
I'm going to go over there, control V. And I'm going to do is take
this around over here. We can see a multiple
layer over here. I'm going to get that
specific control C, control V. There we go. I can see that there are a couple of things
going on around here. I'm going to take this
specific text to control V, okay, I'm going to paste
it right around over here. Now as you can see that
I have a couple of elements over on
my page on Canva. Now you can see a couple of them are overlaying
each other, or maybe a couple
of them are behind. A couple of them are forward, or let's say at the front. It's sometimes, it's irritating,
sometimes that's perfect. But what if you want to fix that up according to your desire? That is the time when
the layer option comes to your hand and
comes to your work. The first thing you can see that I am going to start
off with the center. Now I want that to
be at the front. Now you have this
option called Position, or the tool called
Position in Canva, which is going to help you
to fix up your layers. I'm going to do, first
off, fix this up. I'm going to take
this one over here. I'm going to take this
around over here. Okay. Then I'm going
to do is I want two of these shapes to be at the bottom. Now,
how do I do that? First I'm going to
click on any of these shapes and
click on Position. Now in this option over here, you have layers, right? You can see in this layers
there are overlapping. What items are overlapping? Basically, you can see the
background is overlapping. Maybe you can see over here, you can see on overlapping, there is this background
and then this photo. This photo is also
overlapping this background and this one is also
overlapping the background, and this one is overlapping, or let's say these three are
overlapping, all of these. Okay? So what if I
want this photo, which is this one, this photo to overlap each and every one. Either you can go off
the arrange and select the photo and bring it to forward or you can
go off the layers. You can bring it over at the top and you can see
it is now at the front. Now I'm going to press on
Control zed and do the process. And we can do the same work, or the same command
from arrange. Click on arrange, and you have this option called forward. Click on forward, and it will do the same thing when you
click on overlapping. Now this is now overlapping
the specific circle. Now, even if I take
this photo over here, it is not overlapping
all of these, It is still now underneath it. Now, if I take one
of them at the top, you can see no difference. But if I take it over here, it is now overlapping
this photo. Now I want it to overlap this
and this at the same time, I'm going to click on
this. There we go. It is now overlapping
that shape. If I do this again, it will now overlap the specific text two, but obviously we
don't want that. I'm going to press on control
Z and keep it wherever it was that I can
see it right now. The first thing I'm
going to do is I'm going to do is click
on these two objects, can shift and make
sure to group them up. You can see this is
now into a group. Now you can see that
this is at the top. That means it will overlap. Anything you put over there, you can see it will
not overlap anything. But if I try to
put another shape, I'm going to click on elements, I'm going to do make
another shape over here. Now it is overlapping
that specific circle. I want that to be underneath it. I'm going to click on Position I'm going to do is
take this underneath. Now you can see the shape is
now underneath the circle, which I have it as a
shape or as a group. Now from this layer option, you can also remove
it if you want to, you can click on
this option and you can delete it. It's up to you. Now what I want is
that I want two of these elements to overlay
this specific item. Or let's say I want this
photo and this one. To overlay it, I'm
going to click on that. I'm going to do take it above, there we go. It is
now overlapping. I'm going to do the same thing, select the specific object. One thing about this
layer option is that you can also select
items from over here. You can, or if you
are having a problem selecting the item from
the specific page, you can select on the item from this layer option and
then bring it at the top. There we go, we have
these two options or these two
elements at the top. Now what I'm going to do is turn all of this into a group. I'm going to do is,
just like I said, you can also select
it from here. Make sure to hold on a shift, select all of these elements. Press on control G, and you can see all of them
has turned into a group. And you can see there is
this smooth transition which I'm getting over here. Now you know how that actually works or how this
layer option works. Now another thing
is that I'm going to do is press on
control G again, and you can see Ungroup option. Now this is ungrouped. Now let me show you how
this arrange option works. I'm going to click on
position, click on Range. I'm going to do is just show you the arrange first and then I'm going to show
you the other ones. Now what if you want that specific element
to be at the center? First thing you have the
center option center. And also at the middle, you can see now it
will be at the center, At the middle of the page. First thing I'm going to
do is click on Layers. I'm going to do is select
on this over here, you can see it at the center. I'm going to do, hold
on two of these, control G. Then I'm
going to do is go off to arrange center middle. Okay, perfect. I'm going to do the
same thing over here. I'm going to do is first
off select on both of them. I'm going to do, align
them to the left. Okay. Totally left. And then I'm going to do is make sure this is at the middle, maybe not in the middle,
maybe at the bottom. Or maybe just keep
it however it was. Okay, so that they
are at the center. Okay, Maybe I'm going to keep it left so that
it works this way. Now as this is working this way, I'm going to do is
keep it around over here at the center of
this box. There we go. I'm going to do the
same thing over here. Make sure to select
both of them. Hold on the shift
I'm going to do, make it at the center
or maybe at the right. There we go, It is at the right. I'm going to do
this. You can keep them at the middle
if you want to. You can keep them at the top. I'm going to do is keep
them on the right maybe. Right, perfect. Not the middle. I'm going to do is take
this one over here. I'm going to press on
control a couple of times and keep it
however it was that I'm going to do is
make sure that it has a specific amount of what's going to do is
take it around over here. There we go. That exact space I'm going to do is take
this down over here. There we go. Now it is, perfect. Now you know how you'll be able to use this
arranged option. Now I'm going to click
on this option again. Go off the position here. You have other
options over here. Now you have backwards to back. Now if you click on backward, it will take you to the back. Okay. You can see
this is two layers, so it will take me
directly to the back. So there's no backward. It is now at the bottom, you can see over here it is. Now at the bottom, you can click on that
option over here. Now you can send it to forward, or you can send it to the back. To be honest, you can keep
it to be at the bottom. You can keep it like this, or maybe even underneath
this background. Now if you want to change
the background color, click on this option. Click on this color, and
then you'll be able to change the background color
according to your need. Now I'm going to do
is use the color of this or maybe use
something like this, so it looks a lot more better. Now I'm going to do is
click on this position. Again, I'm going to select
the specific photos which I want or elements which I want from here. I'm
going to click on this. And you can also flip the
photo if you want to. You can see flip
vertically, horizontally. It's up to you.
You can also edit the photo according
to your need. Well, we'll show
it to you later on in a lesson where
you'll be able to apply in effect on your photo and also
adjust and prop them. But we're going to do
skip that for right now. So here I'm going
to do is just flip this vertically so
that it is straight. And I'm going to
do is select all of them and turn
them into a group. Now if you want to
click on Position, you can also fix our Go to Arrange and then
fix out the height. You fix out the Xy Xs
and also rotate it. If you want to, let's say
from here I'm going to do is make sure to keep them 1,400 Okay, now is 40 Een hundred. Now from here I'm going
to type in 900 as a hype can see this is now
900 from here on the y axis, I want it to be
150, can see 150. From here I'm going
to type in 300. Can see 300, but I want
to keep it at the center. If you want to keep
it at the center, just click on Center and you
can also keep on middle. Okay. Then it will
be at the middle. Keep on middle. And then
on the center, okay. Left. Or maybe at the
center. There we go. Now, you know, most of the
things are the usage or the importance of using
layers and let's say Canva. Now this time I'm going to be showing you how
you'll be able to apply multiple layers or work with multiple
layers at the same time. Now first thing I'm going
to do is click on Upload. I'm going to just upload
a file from here. I'm going to do is
click on this element. Or maybe, let's just take
a photo from elements. I'm going to search for
a man. Hit on Enter. I'm going to click on Graphics. If I have any free, I'm going to take
this one over here. Okay, I'm going to use this. I'm going to use
the later option. Okay, Later on now I'm going
to do is go off to Shapes. I'm going to click on Shapes. Now from here I'm
going to do is use a couple of different shapes
that overlay each other. Or maybe I'm going
to do is curves. Head on enter, you can see a couple of curves
that appear over here. Now what I'm going to
do is use this, okay? Now as I have this option I'm going to do is
first off change the background color
because it's not visible. Now I'm going to do is this. Now first thing I'm going
to do is select on this. I'm going to do is
increase the size. There we go, we have
it. Now one thing I'm going to do is that there are a couple
of things over here. Now, one thing I'm
going to do is that I want this to
appear over here on, over this right arm, and I want this to be
under the left arm. Okay, Now how do I do that? The first thing I'm going
to do is that I'm going to create this layer option
I'm going to do is click on this specific
object control C control V. Now I have two of
these options, right? Two of these. The first
thing I'm going to do is that underneath and over, just like I said, I'm
going to do is press on shifts I'm going to
do is hold onto it. Then I'm going to do, I'm
going to prop this up. You can see how it works. Take this around
over here, press on. Okay. Now you can
see how this works. I'm going to do is
take this again. I'm going to do is crop it up, maybe a zoom a bit more. I'm going to do is make sure
this is totally perfect. I'm going to zoom out a bit. There we go, perfect. I'm going to do is hit on Enter. And there we go, one is
underneath and one is over it. And it doesn't even seem like we're using two
objects right now. After you're done,
what you can do, select both, all of
them. Person control. And now you can see this
has turned into a group. Even if you take
them or move it, it will move, the crop
part will not move. If you want to
apply or make it a bit more or it's saying to
do first stop, group it. Then I'm going to select
on this option again. And I'm going to do is
click on Crop Again, select on this specific
object, click on Crop. I'm going to do is first
stop, I'm going to do, take this at the
top so that I can see it on how it is working. I'm going to do is
zoom in a bit more and I'm going to keep it
around over here. There we go. Looks
a lot more better. I'm going to hit on Enter, and you can see it looks a lot more better
than how it was. But if you still feel
like it's not working, then make sure to use this. I'm going to do is keep
it around over here. Hit on Enter, and you
can see how this works, but you can see that there is this cut out part
I'm going to do is click on Crop until I have my which part looks
actually good. Click on crop is, make sure to use it. Util here, there we go. Hit on, we have this part, but not this part.
Which I see over here. I'm going to do is click
on this control C, control V. I'm going to
do is crop this part first I'm going to do is keep it where it is so that
it looks good. Then I'm going to do
is click on Crop. I'm going to do is
fold onto this part. I'm going to make sure
that it looks perfect over here. There we go. We have this hit on Enter and you can see
this is how it will work. Okay. Hope you learned
everything about this lesson. And then make sure to
group them up so that it looks a lot more
better than how it was. We can do the same thing over
here by cropping this part. You can do that if you want to. Let me just show to
you how this works. Select on that specific
object, which we have. First groups I'm going
to do is click on that element control C
control V. I'm going to do, take this one over here at the top I'm going
to do is click, take this over here, which you can see over here. I'm going to do is hit on Enter. And you can see
how good it looks. I'm going to press
on control Z a bit. I'm going to do is as I have another layer
I'm going to do, take it around over
here, which I have. Then I'm going to
do is it up first? You can see how it works, but you can see
that the couple of parts that I have over
here is not the same. I'm going to do Pres control Z. I'm going to press on crop. I'm going to take it right over here. There we go. Press on this control. And there we go, we have it. This is basically how
you'll be able to work with multiple
layers at the same time. Even if you ungroup them, select on it group. And if you go to position, then you'll see all of the
layers that are being used. This is the hand,
this is the head, this is the arm, this is the
element which I'm using. And this is the whole body. You can make copies
of them whenever you want to and use it
for later purpose. Thank you for watching
this video up til the end. Now let's move on to our next lesson where we are going to learn
about the usage and importance of using
templates and how we'll be able to use it
for various purposes. Thank you again.
5. Templates usage: Hello guys. Welcome back to our course lesson
on Canva Essential. In this lesson, we
are going to learn about the templates
and their usage. Before getting into the
lesson with examples, let's learn what
a template is and what the advantages of
using a template is. What is a template? In Canva, a template refers to a predesigned layout or
framework that users can customize to create
various types of visual content such as
social media graphics, presentations, posters,
flyers, invitations, and more. Templates are essentially
starting points that provide a structure and design
elements allowing user to easily create professional
looking designs without starting from scratch. Now, what are the advantages? The advantages of using a
template is its design variety. Because there is a lot
of designs which you can choose from
according to your work. The ease of use. Why
is it the ease of use? Because all of the things that
are done are already done. You are just putting
in your own data. So it is very easy to
use customization. It allows you to
customize it because obviously if you're
downloading a template, you can customize your
own data and also customize how it looks
like. Time saving? Well, it's all about the
time saving because every, every customization
is already done. What you're going to
do is just put in your own data and
then you're good to go. Then inspiration. Now, inspiration is a
very different factor because obviously,
according to your work, you might find like a couple of categorized data or
categorized templates according to your work. And it's going to inspire you to later on which
ones to choose or maybe which one you
can choose to make your preparation or let's say your presentation
a lot more better. Or even your posts consistency. Now it's all about the consistency when
you're using a template. Now consistency is key because if you stay
consistent and also keep working on it or you will also be able to
make your own template. Now at the end of this lesson, we're also going to be
making in a template are a very basic template of how you can
make your own one. And also how you can
upload it so that other people can also use your template as a copy
without any further ado. Let's just hop onto Canva and see how the templates
work and its usage. For my screen, you can see
that I have opened up Canva. Now this is also going to be another additional lesson on
how the Canva is different. Or maybe how the free and
premium version is different. Now you can see that
for this lesson, I have opened up my
premium account. Now in this premium account,
what are the differences? Well, you get a vast
amount of resources, vast amount of templates, vast amount of brands, apps, and also be able to access through a lot of things which
you cannot access in free. You can also add in members, or let's say a vast
amount of members, because in free you
can only add in three. When you want to change or when you want to make
your own templates, I would suggest you to use your premium account
or buy a premium. First thing is that I've told you all about
the templates, or what a template is, and what are the advantages. Now let's go to the section
called Templates and Canva. If you've seen my first lesson, you already know where
you can find templates and how you can also
open templates when you are working on
your presentation or your post or maybe your
documents, anything. Okay, so now the first
thing I'm going to be doing is clicking on this
template option in Canva. On your home screen, you
can see it over here. Just click on templates
and it's going to give you a vast amount of templates,
which you can use from. Now, another thing is
that just like I said, among the templates, there
are different categories. Okay? We're going to get one from each and
every one, okay? So you don't have to
worry about how they actually look like or
how those actually work. Now, the first thing
I'm going to be starting from is
going to be the docs. Now, what are these docs? Obviously you've worked on Microsoft Dock or
Microsoft Word right now. It's going to be just
like those where you can put in your data and
start working on it. Now if you want any categories,
you can also do that. And there is this filter option which is a very big advantage of using Canva is that you
can choose your own criteria. What the style is,
what the team is, what the feature is, and
what the color should be. You can select all
of them and it's going to give you the amount, or give you that type of
templates to use for your work. Now let's say from the styles, I want it a bit corporate, okay? And I'm going to do is keep it corporate now from the
team I want it to be. You can also see that right
beside each and every one, there's a number of templates
that are available. Now from them I'm going to
do is use Corporate Two, the team is going
to be corporate. Now from the features I want it to be animation or video.
That's going to be up to you. Let's, I'm going to use video. I'm going to do it from color. I want it to be yellow. Okay? I can see only one of the template is available
which meets up my criteria. Now if I change the color. Pink. There is no template. If I say like red
or maybe orange, you can see one for orange. Then I can use also this one. Or you use whichever color you want and it's
going to give you the exact result of what
templates you want to use. Okay, So it's going
to be up to you. Then you can also remove all the filters and then
start from fresh again. You can see this option
called Clear All, But let's say from here I want
to change it to business. Now I'm going to remove them. And you can see this is all going to be related to business. Another thing or another
advantage of using the filter and Canva is that you can select
multiple criteria. Let's Sema, click
on corporate now. I also want professional. I also want a bit creative,
or maybe a bit clean, a bit modern, a bit
minimalistic, a bit simple. You can select a lot of these categories which
you have over here. Then from here I'm going
to select on product. Then I want also business. Then I also want
brand guidelines. You can see all of the filters has been applied
so that you find the amount of templates that are available that meets up
your criteria in Canva. Then from there, what you can do is just select
any of the one, let Sema click on this one, which I had, then just click
on Customize this template. And Canva is going to open
up that template for you. Now you can see that it is being applied to your workspace, so you just have to wait a bit until all of them is
applied on your screen. And then after it has opened up, just like you can
see, then you can just click on them.
Put in your own data. Let's say I don't
want meeting agenda, so I'm going to do is meeting. Let's say discussion. Discussion. You can see that
I have added in my own data. Now I can also select
the photo which I want. Just double click on it and you can see that this
option appears up. Then you can change out
what you are using. Let's say this
photo, you can see this is a bit
different from Canva, or let's say this is, you know, outside of that doc
because this is being used in that specific template. Okay? So you can
see that this has opened up another interface or another workspace
where I can edit it at the same time while I'm
working on the doc template. So you can remove it or you can also keep it just
the way you want it. So this is basically
kind of like linking in the data or linking
in the object. So make sure to use whichever one you want. It
is going to be up to you. Now let's go back as
we've already seen our doc and you can use whichever page you
want. As we're done. I'm going to do is go off
all templates back again. And then let's open
up whiteboard. Now, what are the
templates and whiteboard? You can see that
there are a couple of templates which
you'll be able to use. Let's, I'm going to select this and another
advantage is that you can also save up your template which you want to use
for later purpose. Or you can also keep them to be your favorite at the same time. Then you can see this option of star appearing up
when you click on it. It will be Start and you can use it whenever you want.
You can see View. Then you can also go off the Start option on the
left panel of Canva. When you click on
this, you can see the star template is over here. I'm going to click on it. And you can un start that specific template two and
your folder will be empty. And I'm going to do is
click on Go Back Home. And I'm going to do is
click on Templates. And that is basically
how you'll be able to use each and
every template you see. Then you can also click on Graphs and select
all of your filters. You can clear one filter and you can use
whichever one you want. Last I'm going to do is use this, customize this template. And you will basically
see that it is opened up and it can change in your
data whenever you want to. You can delete them and you can also change it
according to your need. Now I've already shown
you that how you'll be able to open up a template
from the home screen of Canva. Now we basically
know how this works. I'm going to go back
again or cut this off. You can see that there is another option of three
dots or more action, which you can do with
the templates you see, click on it and you can share up that template to
a certain person, maybe at your work
or for your purpose. Then you can also report them. Okay? So it's going to be up to you whichever one you want. You can do the same things
on each and every of the graphics initiators
which you have over here. Even when you want
to do a video, you can click on
them and you'll be able to see which
templates you want to use. Now you can see that I'm
going to click on templates. I'm going to do is click
on videos, click on them, and you'll basically see
that there are a couple of templates which you
can use for your video, even though they are, most of the time there are
like animations and slides. But you can see that there
are a couple of them that works just like a video. And also you can use them
for various purposes, okay? It's going to be up to
you now as we know that, how we can use
those templates and what the templates are,
and the advantages. Now, let's just open this
up for the last one, and see how this works. And then, Regan would be making in a very
basic templates, which you can also use. Now just click on
them, and you can see that this is how
it will look like. And you can also
play it from here. So you can see how
the video will work, and you can see that
it is now playing. And it will also connect
to another template, which we have over here. You can see all of them are connected. This is
also connected. This is also connected with
some animation over here, or maybe some smooth transition. Someone play it up and
see how this works. You can also drag them
whenever you want, and you can see this is how
it will work and it will load up a bit because obviously I just
applied it right now. I didn't even download it. So you can also use
it whenever you want. Okay. It's going to be up to you now as we're done
with most of them. Now let's try making in our own template and how you can use it for various purposes. Now first thing I'm going
to do is go back to home. Now I'm going to do
is create a design. And it can use
whichever one you want. But I'm going to do is
click on Custom Size. And you can see that
there's auto size. But I'm going to here, I'm
going to click on Inches. I'm going to use Type in eight, and this one should be
11. Create a design. And you can see that
it will make up my box or page over here. And it can use whichever
templates you want to. Just like I said
that there is also a second method of how you
can use your templates, but it's going to
depend on which type of doc or which type of
initiator you opened up. Okay. You can see now
most of them are kind of doc or maybe flyers
and all of them. So it's going to be
all those templates. Okay? It's not going
to be some graphics. It's not going to
be presentation. It's not going to be logos or post. It's going to be docs. Okay. Now from here what
I'm going to be doing is making our self a template.
Now, how do I do that? So the first thing
I'm going to do is click on this option over here. Now when I click on this option, obviously when I'm
using a template, I'm going to do is need border. Okay? Now how do
you apply a border? I'm going to do is click on this file option over
here and you will basically see that View Settings and I'm going to
click on Ad Guides. You can see that there's
guides, you can see them. I'm going to do is
press on Cancel. I'm going to click
on File again. Click on, let's
say View Settings, and I'm going to do
is show margins. You can see that
there's margins. But if you don't have
this option of margins, what you can do
is make your own. You can see this all over here. Now I'm going to click on
this option over here. I'm going to do the
same thing over here. Do the same thing, press on Alt, or maybe drag it right over
here according to your need. What I'm going to do,
keep it right over here to do make another one. There we go. Two on a two. Okay, Perfect. Same on two sides. Now, what about the
top and the bottom? Now, how do you do
that? First thing you have to do is make in shape. I'm going to do is click on Elements and find
out your shape. I'm going to do, click on this Rectangle
option and you can see my rectangle box has been created to increase the
size from this side. I'm going to do take it right
over here and a bit more. You can see it I'm
going to do is decrease the size according to
my need. There we go. I'm going to just keep
it right over here. I'm going to press on Alts. I'm going to just copy the
same thing at the bottom. There we go. We have two
of these borders. Okay? If you don't like it, you can change it
whenever you want. I'm going to click
on this option, I'm going to select on this. And you can also fix the transparency whenever
you want to. So I'm going to just
click on this option, click on this, and you can
fix that, The transparency. Let's say from here I'm
going to just type in 70. I'm going to do the
same thing over here. Or you can also click on this
option and click on this and roll it up to another template or another
element which you have. You can see 70 has been
applied on this option two. Now you can use up whichever
you know elements you want. Let's just make up a portfolio. Or make up something very basic. Now I'm going to do is find out a frame so that it
is a portfolio. I'm going to make sure
to select on the circle, I'm going to keep it. Okay. Hold on the shift, I'm going to hold it on, or keep it over here. Maybe a bit. Down there we go, you can see another
margin over there. I'm going to do is zoom in. Now I'm going to
obviously put in my name. I'm going to click on Uploads. I'm going to do
click on Elements. We can use whichever
photo you want. I'm just going to use
is a graphic over here. Maybe a photo I'm
going to do is female. You don't enter and you
can see all of these are over here. Let's
just use anyone. You can see it over here. I'm going to click
on that option. You can see that
has been applied. I'm going to take this down. Take it over here. There we go. And you can see it
has been applied. You can also download photos and use it whenever you want. And I'm going to click
on text and put in the name at a text box. I'm going to just
type in, Sarah, I'm going to do is zoom in to highlight that text and use
whichever font you want. I'm going to do is click on
other fonts which I have. You can search for de
fonts if you want to. I'm going to click on See All recently used
our default tiles. It's going to be up to
you or you can also search for different fonts
according to your need. I can go down and find the
one which I'm going to use. I'm going to use bit go down, you can see how it looks like. Let's say I'm going
to be maybe this one. Okay? Instead of that, I'm
going to be using this one. I'm going to just cut this off. Delete. I'm going
to delete here. I'm going to just
type in my text. I'm going to put in, Sarah, I'm going to take
this over here. Group this, delete control Z. I'm going
to be selecting this one. You can see Sarah over here. Then I'm going to be doing is duplicating if I want
to, but I'm going to do, use this one at the bottom, you can see how it looks like. Sara, I'm going to do select on it and ungroup that
I'm going to delete. I'm going to do is
select on this Delete. I'm going to do is, let's say I'm going to delete this one because I'm
not going to be needing it. I'm going to do type in Sarah. Okay. And can see my name. I'm going to click on
Highlight that text. I'm going to
highlight this text. I'm going to click on this
option. Click on the color. I'm going to click on
this option. There we go. Okay. I'm going to
highlight this again. Click on this and color
it up. Okay, there we go. I'm going to do is put in a couple more text
according to my need. I'm going to do is
copy a lot of these, let's say about
I'm going to do is a lot more text over
here. There we go. Make sure this is
aligned perfectly. I'm going to do a couple
more of them. There we go. Now I'm going to do, first off, this is going to be
about type in bio. I'm going to do reduce the
size according to my need. I'm going to do keep
it up over here, the bio or maybe
right over here. Then I'm going to
select on this, increase the size or keep
decreasing it until you have your result is delete to
copy this one over here. Then going to do is
select on all of them and reduce it to very small ones. There we go. There we have our bio, this is going to be our contact. Then let's put in portfolio. Then here, put in maybe different type
of contexts, such as, let's say Sarah order mail.com or maybe Yahoo.com
That's going to be up to you. Then let's put in a O mail.com Last one, I'm going to put in 666. Okay, there's the
number. There we go. Then another feature
of this is we can use this effect
called tidy up. That is one of my most
favorite feature in Canva. You can click on Position, and you can click on Tidy Up. And you can see all of them are lines I'm going to do
is keep them over here. That I'm going to do
is put the context, maybe bio I'm going to
put in, maybe a text. Click on text at a text box.
There we go, we have it. I'm going to do is
increase the size. Put in whichever bio you
have over here, click on it, Increase the size, whatever text you want to put over here. Obviously, this is not going
to be the same as this font. I'm going to do is click on this option over
here I'm going to do is click on this option
and click on this. And there we go, your paragraph
is going to be over here. Then over here I'm going
to put in the contact. A copy. Copy. Okay. I'm not going to
copy this one I'm going to do is just click on this one
first and decrease the size. I'm going to do,
decrease it a bit more, select on it, I'm going
to use a portfolio. Put in your portfolio
wherever you want. There we go. Here's going to
be a couple other things. Now, here I can put
in another element, just as a portfolio stuff, I'm going to click on any of
these elements which I have. Let's say I'm going to go
down and maybe a photo. Let's say I'm just going to be using any of these
options over here. I'm going to use graphics, maybe I'm going to type in. Portfolio. I'm going to go
off the graphics from here. I'm going to put in this
element, which I have. Click on this, there
we go, deletes. I'm going to hold on a Shift so that I get the exact size. I'm going to put it
over here. There we go. We are almost done with this. You can put in whichever
text you want to use. I'm going to put in
black, obviously. Select on this select, obviously they're
going to be black. Click on it and make sure
that they're black in color. Then I'm going to do is obviously
make textboxes are like this and take it right over
here and decrease the size. Zoom in. I'm just
adding in a bit of elements or
customizing a bit. But it's going to
be up to you how you're going to use
it. Click on it. I'm going to go off
to Transparency. Just keep it somewhere around
over here. There we go. It looks a lot more better. You can see how it works. Take it or align it according to your need.
There we go, we have it. I'm going to do is hold on the alt and make the other ones, or use it on the other ones. There we go. We
have all of them. We're going to put in
your text over here. We're going to increase the
size. Keep it at the center. You can also click on Position
And keep it at the center. There we go I'm going to do is click on them and position
them on the right. You can keep them
whenever you want. I'm going to just click on them and drag
it a bit Over here, you can put in
your own graphics, whichever one you want to put. Let's I'm to click on
over here, Contact. Okay. You can use
whichever one you want. I'm going to do is
maybe this one. Zoom in, keep it over
here. There we go. I'm going to put in e mail. Use these, whichever
one you want. I'm going to click
on CL Is mail. I'm, I'm going to use this one. For this one, click on this. There we go. It
has been applied. I'm going to do
is make sure this is the same size as that one. I'm going to put it
right over here. Then I'm going to do the
same thing over here. I'm going to do is
click on another one. Let's say I'm going
to do is use this, make sure this is small enough. 06, there we go. Perfect. I'm going to do
is select on all of them. First I'm going to
do is group them. Control position. Tidy up. If you can click on the first off click on it position and then tidy
them up whenever you want. All you can keep them
Group control, control. I'm going to select
on all of them. I'm going to do is go
to position over here. I'm going to do is
tidy up. There we go. Looks a lot more better
and a lot more cleaner. So there you go. You
basically have it. Now what you're going to
do is send it to someone. First off, you're going to click on Send it to the teacher. Now you're going to
do Select Teacher. If you want to, you
can also share. Now first thing you're
going to do is save it as a template because you want
other people to use it. First off, you're
going to do is click on whichever format you
want to save it as. Okay. Only you can
access from here, anyone with the link, so
I'm going to click on that. And then what you're
going to do is edit them whenever you want and
then click on more. And how you're
going to do is make sure to save it as
a template link. Click on template link, you're going to do
create template link. We're going to wait a
bit. You're going to do copy as this is copied. Let's just make
another document. I'm going to click
on Dock over here. What you're going to do
is let's say not a doc. I'm going to make sure
to use another one, custom size 811. Click on inches. There we go. We can make
according to your need. Let's just go off
to dock over here. Let's say from here what
you're going to be doing is that customizing
your dock over here. And then what you're going to
do is let's say customize. Okay, I'm going to
keep it on customize. We're going to highlight
the text which you have on your front page. You're going to do is click
on the three dot option. Okay, You're going
to right click on it and you can put in, let's say your linking option. Now how do I do that? Let's
make a okay presentation. Over here I'm going to
do is select on this, I'm going to click on
Textbox Anchor king, I'm going to treat over here. And you will have the option
of linking your file. I'm going to do
is link that over here and then you'll be able
to use it whenever you want. Let me just show you an example. I'm going to make sure to
use a logo this time, okay? You can see a logo or you can
use whichever one you want. We just have to
find out that you know how you can use
this link option. You can see a couple of them
are locked and unlocked. But you can see over there, there's this option over here called Link Control
K. You're going to click on Control K and
then you're going to put in your link
Restaurant Enter. And you can see this
underline has been added. Now what I'm going to do is that when I click
on this option, it will take me directly there. So I'm going to do is
presented control all P. You can see how you can
select on this option. Then you'll basically
see it will take you to your web browser and
open up that template. Over here you can see
used template for design. Click on used template
for design and you'll be able to use that
template whenever you want or whenever
you send it to someone else or even you
know you can publish it. So hope you understood
everything about the usage of templates and how you
can use templates, okay? And also make your own template. So thank you for
watching this video and hope to see you
guys in my next lesson.
6. Typography text editing: Welcome back to another
lesson of Canva, essential. In this lesson, we
are going to learn about typography
and text editing. Without any further ado, let's just hop on and Canva, you can see on my screen
that I have opened up Canva. Now, just like it
says in this lesson, we are going to learn about typography and
also text editing, as Canva has a large source of supplies or whichever edits you want to
do to your text. If this video is too long, we're going to be making it
into two parts because I'm going to be showing you a couple of templates or a couple of, let's say, fonts and
how you'll be able to apply and text in different manners
according to your need. Without any further ado, let's just hop on
into the lesson. The first font which I'm going to be using is going
to be a bit different. But first off, I'm
going to be using is that I'm going to start off making a presentation where I can show you all of
the templates at once, all of the fonts at once. Now the first thing
I'm going to do is going to be clicking
on Create a Design. Or maybe we can start off
with the presentation. It's going to be up to
you. So the first one which I'm going
to be showing you is going to be our slice. Okay? How you can make
your slice animation, our slice effect on your text. So the first thing
I'm going to be doing is clicking on presentation. And I'm going to be saving it as a PNG so that I can use
it for various purposes. I'm going to do click on Text. I'm going to click on that.
I'm going to do cut this off, use type in slice. I'm going to increase
the size of this. Well, there are two different methods of how you can do this. Okay? But here I'm going to be showing you a
very simple method. I'm going to click
on this option, I'm going to click
on this color. Maybe we can keep it yellow
or according to your need. Let's keep it to be somewhere
around this grayish. Now I'm going to do
is click on Share. I'm going to click on Download. And however you want to
be or download this, you can see this over here.
You can see the size. I'm going to click on P and G. I'm going to click on Download. And you can see that this
is being downloaded. We're going to wait
a bit and then apply the same thing over here. You can see I have
this on my download. Click on Safe, and you can see that this
has been opened up. And I'm going to cut this off. I'm going to click on this
option, click on File. I'm going to do is click on Home or a new tab if it's going to
be according to your need. But we can also
make it over there on this Untitled design
which I'm making. So I'm going to click on the Slice option and then
I'm going to click on, let's say our uploads. And I'm going to
upload that one. Okay, you can see it over here. I'm going to click on Open and that photo is now uploading. We're going to wait
a bit until that uploads up and you can see
this has been uploaded. You're going to apply
this over here. I'm going to do is
take that one click. You can see that this
has been applied to increase the size
of the whole thing. You can see this is
how it will work. You can click on Edit Photo. Now, Edit Photo, what we're
going to do is download or use a filter or
an app called Slice. Now if this does
not appear here, you have to download it up. You can see mock ups.
Click on mock ups and then you're going to find it
over here. You can see it. Click on Open, you will see that this option or this section
of extensions will appear up. Click on Apps, you can
also download that. From here I'm going to do
is type in Slice on Enter. And we're going to do is find out that option called Slice, your app, and just type in
Slice and find that out. We're going to wait
a bit and find that specific app which we
are going to use from here. What I'm going to
do is first off, make sure that you are
using the old editor on, let's say your editing
section of Canva. Now I'm going to do is copy
this one over here I'm going to do is click on
this, edit the image. Now you will basically see that you will be able to
search for effects. I'm going to click on
this option and click on let's say Search Slice. You can see Slice option
appeared over here. I'm going to click on Slice. I'm going to click on Open. It will be opened
up. You're going to see how it will work. I'm going to click
on this option. This is basically
how it will work. You can use whichever
one you want. You can see it, keep
it right over here. You can see Edit. You can
apply them whenever you want. Then you can also flip
it if you want to, let's say flip
horizontal, vertical. I'm going to use keep
it just away with us. Okay, you can see the slice
effect has been applied. I'm going to keep the
slice maybe only one. I'm going to keep the offset
to be somewhere around over here position to be
a bit at the top. Number of slices is five. There we go, we have it just keep the offset to be
somewhere around over here. I'm going to click Apply. And you can see it
has been applied. Now the first thing I'm going
to do is click on Elements. I'm going to search for Shadow so that I can apply in a
shadow in between them. I'm going to click on
this option over here, and you can see this
option is available. I'm going to do
flip it vertically. I'm going to increase the size. I'm going to go over here. On the second one,
I'm going to do apply it right over here so that I can see where the shadow is. Keep
it right over here. There we go. You can see the sliced effect
has taken place. You can see also the shadow. I'm going to just
click on both of them. I'm going to shift control. You can see now it
has turned into an object together and you can change the color
whenever you want to. Let just click on
this option over here and you can
change the color. Let's click on
this color option. You will be able to
change the color or you can also animate it. If you want to, you
can edit the image. Let's say from here you want
to check out more colors. If you want to, you can click on See All and use
whichever when you want. You can also go off
the photos and apply new photos and also slice
them up however you want. So this is going to
be our first one. Now let's move on
to our next one, or the next effect, which
we are going to use. I'm going to click on
this option over here. And then I'm going
to do is first off, in this lesson I'm
going to be using this, another effect which I most of the time use because
it looks kind of good. Okay, so the font, or the effect which I'm going to be using is going to
be our vintage effect. Okay, vintage '70s. Now,
how do you do that? Now you can see that
when we go through text, there are going
to be a couple of texts which you'll be
able to use from here. But let me just finish
the ones which I have and then I'll show you the other
ones too at the same time. So the first fund, which
I'm going to be searching, is going to be our Vintage '70s. So let's search
for Vintage '70s. It don't enter, and you'll
basically see that there are a couple of funds which you'll be able to use or choose from. You can see this over here. You can see the other
ones over all over, the ones over here, okay? It's going to be up to you
whichever one you want to use. Even though we have
a couple of pros, I can select on them
and use them so you can use most of the funds
which you have in Canva. So I would suggest
you to obviously try getting a subscription
to Canva because it offers, let's say it's worth, okay, It's worth buying,
like premium of Canva. You can see how it works and you'll be able
to apply them. But what if you
want to use shapes? Now, to use shapes, I'm
going to click on Elements. From here, I'm going to
search for Vintage '70s. It don't enter, and
you'll basically see that a couple of them are
going to be alphabets. Okay? A couple of them are
going to be alphabets. I'm going to click on Graphics. See all. Then you'll basically find a couple of these
options over here. Okay, From here I'm
going to use alphabets. I'm search for Alphabets '70s From here you're going to do is select
whichever one you want. I'm going to click on, I'm
going to wait a bit until all of them appears up
as they will appear. I'm going to be using them,
I'm going to click on. You can see there are a couple of these
options over here. Now you can use
whichever one you want. Now if you want a specific one, you can also use a specific
one according to your need. But there obviously are a
couple of them right from here. What I'm going to be
searching for is going to be chunky or Canva alphabet
chunky over here. So that I can get that effect, I'm going to search for cava alphabet chunky,
they don't enter. And you'll basically see
that there's going to be a different type of
text over on this one, but that is also going
to be quite retro. You can see that those
have appeared up. I'm going to do is
use any one of them. Let's say from here I'm going
to do is click on Graphics. Or maybe all is going
to be up to you, whichever one you want to use. I'm going to click on See All. And then what I'm going to do is obviously make a text or make a sentence out of those graphics and see how it
actually looks like. Okay, as we're done with one, we're also going to
be showing you a couple more so that we can
see how it looks like. What I'm going to do
is type in something. I'm going to select on whichever
graphics I want to use. Let's, I'm going to
do type in good. You can use whichever
one you want from here. I'm going to do is
search for maybe, let's say we have it double, then we're going
to search for D. You can see over here
we search for it. And there we go, we have it. I'm going to do align them. D. You can see the
effect over here. You're going to
select all of them. Click on Position, and
then tidy them up. See how good it looks. We can also change the
color whenever you want. You're going to
click on the colors. Let's say I want this one or
maybe this one to be blue. You can see the blue. I'm
going to select on this and select on maybe blue.
It's up to you. You can see now all of
them are quite the same. This is going to be
our second effect on Canva and which
ones you want to use. It's going to be up to you now. We're going to go to the
next one where we are going to search for Trendifik. I'm going to do
search for Trend. I'm going to search for
adorable, They don't enter. Now you're going to
see that there are going to be a couple of effects, which you can also use. Now you're going
to search for it and you can go off the graphics. Now you can also search
with an ad type, a trend Adorable I'm going
to do is click on All. And then you're going to
do search for alphabets, or whichever alphabets
you want to use. I'm going to do is
go back control Z. Do search for trendy,
adorable alphabets. Don't enter. You can see a couple of these options
have also appeared up. Use whichever one you want
is going to be up to you. So these are the ones from here. I'm going to go off
to another one. I'm going to just type in another text which I'm going
to be using in this one. Let's to select on
the ones maybe. Let's say I'm going to
select these ones here. I'm going to do is click on Wow. I'm going to click on WOW. There we go. I'm going
to change the color. Now as we have green and yellow to do I want
this one to be blue. I'm going to click
on this option. Click on blue, and I want
this one to be pink. So I'm going to click
on this option. Click on this pink, and
there we go, we have pink. On this one, I'm going to
be maybe a bit yellowish. I'm going to click on this
option and I'm going to just take it right over
here. There we go. And then I'm going to
just tidy them up. Click on position. Tidy
up. And there we go. We have it perfectly sync. Now we're going to do is
going to be using another, let's say text effect I'm going to do is remove
this and here I'm going to be searching for Canva original sticker spray alphabet. Okay, I'm going to do is
search for at Canva original. They're going to do
type in stickers, they're going to do
type in spray paint, letter it don't enter and it's going to give
me all of those ones. You can see it over here,
you can see the graphics. Obviously, those are
a bit different. Make sure to click on graphics and you can use
whichever one you want. You can see that there
is also a bit of, let's say animated here. I'm going to do is type in whichever text I want
to put from here. I'm going to be clicking on say, I'm going to type on something, maybe put in a text
I'm going to type in, or maybe whichever one you want. Let's say here I'm
going to type in, maybe, there we go,
we have it here. I'm going to change
the color of this so that I can see it over here. I'm going to CP, all of them are over here. We can also put in whichever
one you want, Let's say K. We have this effect. We can
also go through other ones. Let's say I'm going to put in another O. You can see how this
actually looks like. This is very good, right? I'm going to do is find in another one which I'm
going to be using. You can also apply elements
on this one, okay? You can see that
there are a couple of elements which you can also use. And those will also be
like this animated. It's going to be up to you
whichever one you want to use. But there are also a couple of these options you
can select from. You can use whichever
one you want. It's going to be up to you
that I'm going to do is search for another effects
of this text, but these are also
going to be graphics. I'm going to do is
remove them and here I'm going to do
is search for grow. I'm going to do is search
for Canva texture. Okay, so I'm going to do Canva
texture modular alphabet. I'm going to type in
Canva textured modular, albeit it on Enter, you can see all of them
appeared over here. You can see the grow ones
which are over here. I'm going to click
on another one here. I'm going to do type in
whichever one you want, then you can use Y. It's going to be up to you
whichever one you want to use. What I'm going to do
is keep it over here. Or you can size them,
just remove them. Now if you want to apply the
same effect on this one, you can click on this, roll them up, and select
both of them. And there we go, it
looks the same, right? You can use whichever one you want and you can also find out a couple of them which
are rounded corner. That's going to be up to you. Okay, so you can just go off the graphics and find out
the one which you want to use on this lesson or
maybe according to your need. Now the next one
which I'm going to be using is going to be Canva printed or let's say Canva print inspired
modular alphabet. Remove this Canva inspired
modular alphabet. They don't enter.
Okay, I'm going to search for Canva
print Inspired. Okay, Canva print Inspired
Modular Alphabet. You can see that
these are the ones. Now I'm going to open up
another one and you can use, what I'm going to do is
maybe type in something. This time I'm going
to use R B and we're going to search
for Y over here, I'm Click on them, R U B and then Y
can see the effect. Click on this option,
click on this and select this one, and see
how it looks like. I'm going to select
on this, RU B, Y, this looks quite good. I'm going to select on
them and click on Color. Or maybe select on each and
every one at this at a time. From here I'm going to click
on this option on Yellow. I'm going to select on Pink. On this one I'm
going to be using blue or maybe sky bluish. It looks good. I select on this option and
use the other ones. It's going to take
a bit of time to take the effect you can go off the position and then tidy
them up whenever you want. But I want it to be a bit space so that it looks a bit better. Because if they are altogether, it might not look good. Now the next one I'm
going to be using is going to be Canva cutouts. Okay? I'm going to do search for Canva cutouts and
our text elements. I'm going to do,
just remove them. Type in Canva cutouts. Okay, Canva cutouts and
then sustainability, sustainable build here. I'm going to go
off the elements. I'm going to cut this off. Canva cut out sustainability don't enter. And I can see you will be
able to use these two. I'm going to open
up another one. Let's see, I'm going
to do is type in D. I'm going to type in B, I'm going to type in B. I'm going to search for A. And we're going to search
for, okay, here we go. We have I. You can see how good this
actually looks, right? You'll be able to use
these effects too now on The last one we're going to do is use this puffy one, okay? I'm going to search
for canva typography, nostalgia graffiti. I'm going to search for cava, type in to graphogiane graffiti on Enter and you can see how this
actually looks like. I'm going to click on Graphics. You will basically find out these ones, you will
be able to use them. You're going to open
up. Another one I'm going to do is type in D. You can see this is the D. Just click on CL and you'll
basically find all of them. I'm going to search for D, then I'm, I'm going
to use the same one. I'm going to search for B. This time I'm going to go down, can see this is B, okay? This might be also three,
but we can use them. And we're going to search
for a, let's search for a, search for, let's search W, T I overharll. I'm going to search
for A. We're going to use this as A. Okay. We're going to change the
color later on and I Dubai. Okay, I'm going to do is change the colors to use blue here. I'm going to do is use this
yellow for the next one, I'm going to use this one. The last one I'm going to be using, maybe a bit like this. And I'm going to copy
this on the other ones to it will take the same
effect you can see, now it looks really good. You can also see
that all the effects has taken place on
these ones too. You can use this
over here maybe. Use this over here. I'm going to click on it. And there we go. We have it over here. Hope you understood everything
about this lesson. Now another thing is
that we're going to go off the text now. Whatever text you
apply over here, you'll also find out the recent
ones and font combination that which one combines with which one and gives you
a very good effect. Use these ones also. You can use them. You can
click on another presentation. From here, you can use this one. It's up to you. You can see also the text has been applied. You can delete and customize it. Then you can apply the other
ones which are over here. Well, it has a vast
source or let's say can, but it has a vast source of whichever resource
you want to use. Hope you understood
everything about typography and how you
can customize them. You can also apply
effects, Let's use this. And you can use or change
the font from over here. But still the effect
will be applied. Now let's click on this. And you can see the
effect over here, see on this one. And still the effect
will be there. Now, you can also apply
in shadows on your text. You can go off the text dials and you can see whichever
one you want to use. You can go off the
effects and then apply whichever effect
you want to use. Let's say I want
to fix the offset, I want to fix the direction
I want the glitch. Or maybe you can see splice. You can see hollow,
you can see outline. Let's just change this over here so that I can see
which one I'm using. Now Let's, I'm going to go off the effect to use thickness should be
something like this. This is the glitch one,
you can change the color. Two, it's going to be up to you and you can fix
the background, you can fix the
spread the roundness, then the transparency,
whichever color you want. Now if you want to
curve up your text, this is one of the
main features, or let's say advantages. Because you can curve
your text by clicking on this option and you can curve your text according
to your need. You can also apply
them on these ones. Okay? It's going to be up to you whichever one
you want to use. Let's go to use this one
and apply it over here. Now if you want to curve it up, click on Fun, go down
and find out the curve. And you can curve them up
according to your need. And you can also anchor
where you want that to be. I'm going to press on this
and decrease the size. You can see how this works, and this is the circle where
your text is going to be. So I'm going to do
is click on this, put in all of the
texts, and there we go. All of them has been applied
on that specific circle. You can also increase
the circle and also customize it
according to your need. You can use whichever
one you want. So hope you understood
everything about this lesson on typography and
also text editing. And hope you
understood everything. Because if you do
understand a part, please feel free
to question me and also ask me if
there's any problem. Okay, so thank you for watching this video again from
beginning to the end. Now let's move on to our
next lesson of Canva, where we are going to
learn about images and also how you can customize them according to your need.
7. Photo manipulation libraries: Welcome to another
lesson of Canva. Essential. In this lesson, we are going to learn about photo manipulation and libraries that are available in Canva. Now as I've opened up Canva, we're going to start
off photo manipulation and also learn about
the libraries. Basically we're going
to do is going to be opening up a
presentation at first. Or you can also go through
the other ones and see which one suits you better.
You can see the wallpaper. You can do that over there too. You also have this another
option of story or brochure. You can make them
over there too, but here I'm going to do is start off with the
presentation, okay? Or you can also go off
to desktop wallpaper. So that you can start
off with all of the interfaces of just
the editing tools. So I can also click on this and start editing my
photo manipulation. Now, just as it says
in this lesson, we are also going to be adding
our photo manipulating. Okay, so first off, what we're going to do is take an object or let's say
we're going to take a photo and we're
going to turn that into something else
by using Canva. You might think that this isn't the right software for it. There are Adobe Photoshop, there's Adobe Illustrator,
and all of those light rooms. But we can also do very basic, or also professional
looking edits over here on Canva and we can
also photo mini plate. So the first thing we're
going to do is going to be adding in the page at
page. You can do that. You're going to go off
the pages after pages, we're going to go off the
first page we have over here. What we're going to do is
click on this option over here and we're going to
upload one of our photo. I'm going to click on Upload. Click on Upload files
From here we're going to do is upload any of these photos from here.
I want to use this. I'm going to click on Open. It's going to take a bit of a
time to load up that image. Now you can see that
this is being uploaded. Then after it is uploaded, what we're going to do is
take that into our page. We can also do the same
thing in our presentation. Well, if you feel
like the presentation is much more easier for you, then make sure to use
this presentation option because it offers
the same tools. So what I'm going to do
is click on Uploads. And as it is already uploaded,
I'm going to click on it. And there we go, we have it. Now the first thing we're
going to do is going to be changing a
couple of things. So the first thing I'm going
to be doing is going to be copying the
exact item we need. You can see this
melon over here. And I'm going to do is
take only this part. Okay, We're going to
take this part only, and then we're going
to remove the rest. The first thing I'm
going to be doing is going to be copying
the same thing, control C, control V. There we go. We
have two of these. I'm going to paste
it wherever it was. And then I'm going
to do is going to be clicking on transparency and reducing the transparency so that I can see the back one. And then on this
one we're going to do is going to be selecting
on this item from here, I'm going to select on this, click on Edit Image. From here I'm going to do is
do the Background remover. I'm going to do is click
on Background Remover and try seeing if
this works okay. We're going to wait a bit
until all of them is done. And after we are done with it, we're going to do is going to be raise and also brush some parts out according to our needs so that it looks a bit
more professional. And make sure to
stay connected to the Internet and also
make sure to use our stay connected
to the account so that you do not
lose any data. And also everything is stored and you have
restored point. Now our removing is done
even though you can't see the difference
because it is overlaying. So I'm going to remove
this part and now you can see that this part
has been removed. Okay, we're going to use this
exact part and you can see Canva actually did a really good job
removing the background. It looks very professional, very professional cut out. I'm going to remove or keep
it just the way it is. I'm going to just click
on Transparency And increase the transparency
according to our need, and you can see
how it looks like. I'm going to just keep it 100. There we go, we have it. Now I'm going to be clicking on this part and
removing the rest. Can't remove this. And I'm going to
click on Delete. Okay, we can use that one. Now I'm going to do, is going
to be clicking on this part only the first thing
I'm going to be doing is going to be
taking another item. But you can also do,
another thing is that you have to
go off the text. I'm going to do is, first off
I'm going to use control C, control V. We have
this over here to add another page where
we're going to have it then I'm going to do
is click on Edit Photo. I'm going to do is
Background remover. It's going to wait a bit until
it removes the background. But only part I
need is going to be this slice of this exact photo. I'm going to be taking that one. Then I'm going to do is
that I'm going to use only or remove the red part and then I'm going to change
it with something else. Okay. This has been done, but we're going to do is
erase a couple of parts. We're not going to
use this, okay? Normally we're going to
do is take this part, which we are going to use Do. Zooming a bit more. I'm Take this, remove it gently
so that we can use it. There we go. We can also remove this part because we're not going
to be needing it, because we're going to change
it with something else. So I'm going to do
is remove this part, obviously do it very gently. I'm going to press on control Z. There we go. After
you are done with it, we are going to use it
with another photo. Let's say another element someone do is cut
all of these off. There we go. We have it okay. There we go. We're done on this. Just click on restore. I'm going to just
make sure to keep it a bit cleaner over here. We're done. After we're
going to click on Done. Okay, I'm going to click on a bit more because I'm not
going to be needing them. A couple of parts that need
to be removed from over here. There we go. A lot more can. Okay, we're done over here
and our job here is done. Remove these parts.
There we go, we're done. Click on Done, And there
we go, we have it. Now what we're going to
do is going to be taking this one over on this one, okay. First thing I'm going
to do is go over here. I'm going to a file here,
I'm going to use this. Click on open and you can see that this
is being uploaded. And then we're going to
do is going to be taking that over here on
our melon slice. Then we're going
to do is take that directly over to that panel. I'm going to do is take
it right over here. Going to do is click on
position Send to back. And there we go, we have it do. Click on over here
I'm going to do is first off edit the photo.
We're going to crop it up. First I'm going to
do is crop it up. Take it right over here. Control Z n. This
one I'm going to do, crop this photo up.
Okay, there we go. Enter. Okay, it looks
a lot more better I'm going to do is rotate it
a bit so that we can use it. Okay, so that it meets
up till over here. And then I'm going
to do is click on Edit Image and click
on Background Remover. It's going to take a
bit of a time for, let's say for that to remove then we're going to do is
going to be taking that up, you can couldn't
detect the background. We're going to do remove it. Okay', going to do is remove or start removing it by
clicking on any of the item. Now even if it doesn't appear
on the background remover, then we have to use
another photo that has a bit of background on it so that it can remove a bit of it and then we can
edit it out later on. So I'm going to
upload another file. What I'm going to do is
upload another file. Instead of this, I'm
going to delete that. Click upload, upload file. I'm going to do is
use any one of these. Let's, I'm going
to open this one, Let's see if that one can be removed or let's say the
background can be removed. Then I'm going to do is click on this option over here
and upload them. And then I'm going to do is
apply directly on my screen. I'm going to do,
right, click on it and send to back a line to page at the bottom position to back I'm going to do is let's
Sema click on Edit Image. Let's try removing the
background and see if it works. If it doesn't work,
then make sure to use something that
has a bit of background. You can see this one doesn't
have any background either. Upload another file,
ma, use this one, click on Open if this one works, so that if this one works,
we're going to use it. Or if this doesn't
work, we're going to use something else over here. And we also applied a
couple of elements, or couple of resources, or these photos on our resource file according or let's say which will
be given with the course, so you can use them to later
on as we're using this, we're going to see
if this works. That we've uploaded
another photo Here I'm going to
do is use this. Click on that photo
and I'm going to do the same thing I'm going
to do, send it backward. And here I'm going to
select on this part. Here I'm going to do is
going to be clicking on Edit Image and click
on BG Remover. And now it is working. And also showing me the
brush of background remover. So I'm going to wait for a bit until the background
has been removed. You can see how the
background has been removed. I'm going to do is
first off click on Position and send it to back so that I can see how
it looks like at the behind. Okay, I'm going to
do is click on, let's say first off I'm going
to go off the layers I'm going to do is take
this one at the top, maybe at the bottom, okay. It's going to be up to me
where I want it to be. After that, I'm going
to do is click on Range or click on this element.
You can see it over here. I'm going to press on control Z, so that I can see
where the photo is. Okay. Press on control Z again. And if it still
doesn't appear up, go off the layers
I'm going to do is click on it and I'm going
to delete that part again. I'm going to go off to Uploads again and upload that
specific photo and wait for a while until it opens up or is visible on my screen. You can see now it is visible. I'm going to click on, let's say position at the bottom to back. Then I'm going to
do the same thing by clicking on Edit Image, and then Background Remover. And wait for a bit
until it opens up or until the background
has been removed. Because this is quite simple
for it to be visible. Okay, you can see
it. Now I'm going to do is erase a couple more parts. I'm going to do zoom out, do zoom out the parts,
which I don't need. Another disadvantage of
using this is that you cannot see the layers
at the same time. I'm going to do is go back and see if it works or
if it did work. I'm going to remove
it like this. Do the same thing over there. I'm going to do keep it somewhere
around to be like this. Okay. Click on Done, and you can see
how it looks like, but we are not done yet. I'm going to reduce the size and apply it wherever it should be. I'm going to zoom in
again and position it a bit more done, maybe a bit over here. I'm going to take it
around over here. Now you can see this
has been applied. Raise this part. Zoom out, raise. You can see how it looks like. Can remove the parts
which you don't need. Show the original image. Okay, there we go.
Click on Done. Let's see if this
can be applied. To rotate it in such a way so that I can see or I
can make it usable. I can also rotate
it is horizontal. Do is applied over here. There we go. To edit a bit more so that I can make
this one a bit more usable. There we go. I'm going to
do keep it around over here. There we go. I'm going to remove them again. Let's see how good is it. Click on rays again. Okay, looks quite good. I'm going to click on again, fix this part out. Click on Done. Do
is restore again, a bit over here. Click on Done To Do is
remove these parts. Now now what I can also do is that clicking
on this option I'm going to do is click on
Positions. Click on Layers. Do. Send it to back
at the bottom. Send it to back so
that it doesn't overlay this one
should be at the top. Select on layers. There we go. It should be
something like this. If you want to heal some parts out, you can also fix that. Later on you can see
this is applied. Now what I'm going to do is going to be clicking
on both of them. Not selecting on them. Can see our go off the layers. I'm going to click on Position, Click on All Select on both
of them, and group them up. Now what I can do is that customize it
according to my need. Now what I can do is
click on this option, click on Edit Image, and then I'm going to
do Background Remover. And then I want to
do is fix it out by myself so that I can see
our customized parts, whichever one I want. Okay. And you can
see how this works. I'm going to do is
first off go in. Erase the ones which I
need and do go down. You can see how it looks like. Do restore, okay. Done over here, even though
both of them are now grouped. I'm going to do is save
this one as an image. I'm going to click on Shear. I'm going to click on,
let's say I'm going to download it as a PNG, not two pages, 1
page only, page two. I'm going to do select on PNG, Transparent Background download. We're going to do save
it up and as soon as it is done we're going to do is use it later on for
a different purpose. I'm going to do download
that same file, click on upload, upload file, I'm going to do
use that or maybe select the first I'm going
to do is first off deleted. Save it up. First download I'm going to do is transparent
background download it up. Now you can see that this
one is being downloaded. I'm going to use this
one for later purpose. I'm going to save to replace that as that save press on
control Z and keep that up. And I'm going to
delete this one. I'm going to just
make another layer. I'm going to upload that specific file
which I have over here, and you can see that
it is being uploaded. That I'm going to do
is paste it right over here so that I can use
it for various purposes. I'm going to do
is as it is done, I'm going to save it over here. And I'm going to do is
click on Edit Image, click on Background Remover, and you can see that
I have opened it up, then is going to be removing. You can see that
there are a couple of parts that are outside
and doesn't look good. Then I'm going to remove those. Okay, You can see this
app will look like. I'm going to click on Rays. I'm going to erase these parts. Can see how it looks like. Go over there, can see I want to smooth background
or smooth surface. I'm going to keep it like this. Okay. I'm going to go down over there to do remove
these parts too. There we go. Looks good enough. Now that we are already done, I'm going to click on Done. And I'm going to do, take this one over on our first page. I'm going to do, take
this one over here. I'm going to do, first
off, take this one. I'm increase the size, crease the size. You can see how it looks like. You can see we've manipulated something of water
inside a watermelon. Now we can also do a
couple of other things, such as clicking on the and removing the parts
we don't need. As we're done with this, you can also apply
other elements to, this is going to be up to you. After you're done,
what you're going to do is click on both of them. Control, group them up and
save it for various purposes. You can also use other elements. Let's say to you is put
in water may put in, let's say fishes it on enter, go off the graphics or
maybe lamina. Use this. Zoom in, decrease
it, keep it around. Over here you can see how
the fishes will work. Or you can use other stuff. Lema for this one. Do zoom out, make
sure this is small enough so that I can use
it on this one, okay? Even though this is
not looking that good, decrease the transparency that I can see that there is
this fish in the water. You can also use other on
Sma. Go off the graphics. Do find out the onle,
Maybe I want to use this. Take it down over here. Going to do is keep
it just like this. I'm going to click it over here. Click on transparency. Decrease the transparency. You can see how it
looks like, right? You can use whichever
one you want. Let's say I want
something over here, Maybe I want a spider walking
okay to click on spider. And you will basically
see that there are going to be a couple
of graphics which you'll be able to use to
use one thing over here. Keep this one or
maybe this one over here to zoom out Fix in
something like this. I'm going to go a bit up. There we go. It looks
a lot more better. You can click on it,
you can edit the image. You can apply in shadow
whichever one you want. Let's say I want to use Liquefy. Click on Open, It will open up, and you can see it
is being liquefied. Apply shakes, blows and
whichever one you want. Let's, I'm going to keep
it like this for a while. Let's say I want Fresco,
I'm going to apply that. We're going to wait for a while until it has been applied. After it has been applied, we're going to be
done with this lesson because this is quite basic. Because obviously you cannot do anything advanced over here with Canva on our while
you are photo editing. Now another thing about this lesson is that we're
also going to learn about the library as we've
learned about how we can manipulate photos in Canva. Next thing is going to be
where you can find in photos. Now, for my purpose or I use it, I most of the time use specific websites
where I can change it. Okay. Change photos
or apply photos. It's up to me, but you can also use these
options over here. The Sema is go off to elements. And from elements you
can search in anything, but you can go down and you will find out videos and photos. You can go off through the libraries of whichever
photo you want to use, and then you can use it directly while you're working on Canva. So now you know also
about the libraries, but you can also go off
the photos directly. You have to have that
open by clicking on App. And then you'll have
this app called Mock Up. And after you open that up, you'll basically see that
this photo option will appear up and you can use
it whenever you want to. I'm going to do select
on all of them control. You can see all of
them are grouped and I'm going to do
zoom out and you can save this whole photo or save this whole thing as a photo. It's going to be up to you, hope you understood everything
about this lesson. And now let's move on to our next lesson of
Canva, Essential.
8. Color palette background: Welcome back to another
lesson of Canva. Essential. In this lesson, we are going to learn about the color palette and
editing our background. So let's open up Canva. You can see that I
have opened up Canva. And next thing I'm
going to do is going to be opening
up any of these. Okay, let's, I'm
going to open up this presentation
because we're going to start off with our color palette and then we're going to go
off editing our background, because that is very simple. Now in our color palette, what we're going to do is
going to be clicking on any of these elements and I'm going
to do is apply in a shape. Now you can see that I
have applied in my shape. Now I have two of these shapes. Two are of two different ones. This has rounded corners and
this one is sharp corner. Now about the color palette, it's that Canva has a vast
amount of color source. So I'm going to click
on this color option, and you can see the color
palette option over here. Now the first thing is
that there are going to be a couple of these options over here which you
can select from. I'm going to do is going
to click on Upload. And I'm going to use any of these photos which
I have over here. I'm going to keep it aside. Now one thing about
Canva is that it detects the photo in your presentation
or in your screen, so that it can copy that. So I'm going to
click on this option and you will basically find out there is another section
called Photo colors. Which color you want to use
from the specific photo? Let's select on this and
take it right over here. I'm going to do is
click on Position. I'm going to click on this. I'm going to click on
Layers, Bring Forward. And you can see that this is
now quite blending it up. Quite nice. You can
see it over here. You can see this is how it looks like, this, that will look like. And also dark and also light. So you can see that there are a couple of colors which
you can select from. And these are also the funds which you will be able to use, which are recently used. Okay? Now, there are also default colors which are
available on, you know, most features, even on free, you can use them
whenever you want to. Now, another feature is that also I'm going to click
on this option over here. Click on Colors. And you
can also use gradients. You can use whichever
gradient you want to use to
select on the color, and that will be
directly applied. Now another thing is
that obviously you cannot find the specific
color most of the time. You sometimes are going to
be needing inspirations. And all there is this
website called Coolers. You can use that site and
apply directly over here. I'm going to be showing
it to you a bit later. Now another thing is
that you can also select it from a palette, you can select on solid color. And you can see you'll
be able to slide the whole RGB section and
use whichever one you want. And you can also use
hex codes over here and also use this
color picker tool. And now you can select on whichever pixel you want to use, and that photo, that photo color has been
applied to our shape. You can also select on this one. Let's click on this
Picker tool and use this. And you can see this is now
the same color as this one. This is basically all about our most about the
color palette. And you can also
use no color over here so that it gives
off a feel, okay. You can put it over here and you can see that there's
nothing over there. But if you click on this and fix the border and then
apply it over here, and you can see now it
is taking this shape. You can also embedded on this, well we're going to show
it to you later on. You can also right click on
it and you can see it a line. And you can set
the image is also background later on
whenever you want to. This is basically how this color palette
option works in Canva. And you can also go
through the website, which I'm going to
be doing right now, open any of your web browser. I'm going to open
it up right now. You can see on my
screen that I have opened up my web browser here, going search for coolers. Hit on Enter, and go over
here and open up coolers Doc. And it will give
you a vast amount of colors which you
can select from. I'm going to do is select
on these, any one of these. Now, let's seeming to
start the generator. Now when you start
the generator, it will open up this all
color which you can also use. And you can also go
through a couple of different variations to,
it's going to be up to you. You can go through
different variations over here on the website. It's going to be Adobe Color. You can search for Adobe Colors. I'm going to do is open up
this color.adobe.com And you can also get
your inspiration from these type of
sites because it, you know, gives you a vast
amount of category to select from and also what
type of work you're doing. So it's going to be up to you which one you're
going to be using. Because you can just refresh the site and you can see
whichever color you want to use. You can also explore the colors. You can go off through trends, the lab and libraries
and all of them and find out whichever you know
palette you want to use. And then you can also
copy the hex codes. Let's have to do is click
on this option and you can select the hex code over
here as it's been copied. You can see that
I'm on my Canva. Again, I'm going to do select on this color option and I'm going to do paste in the
hex code, press on, Okay. And you can see
that color has been applied on this specific
shape, which I have. Now as we're done with the
color palette of our Canva, now we're going to learn about how we can edit our background. Now there are a couple of ways of editing your background. So you can also use colors. You can also use photos. We're going to
show both of them. Now the first thing
I'm going to be doing is going to be opening
up this section. You can see background color. Click on it and
you will basically see that the same color
palette will open up. You can use whichever
color you want, use the same color
or hex code from there also use gradient.
It's going to be up to you. Now, another thing is that as we've already applied
in our ingredient, there are a couple of methods
of applying a gradient too. So it's going to be up to you. You can use whichever
one you want. If you want to apply any photo, what you're going to do is going to be clicking on Uploads. First, select on
any of the photo, you can right click on it
and replace the background. Now this whole tab, or this whole section,
is now a background. There's no white background. Underneath the photo
is the background. But if you want to take
it, you can see that I cannot take it out,
neither edit it. But what you can
do is that you can apply in the same element. Again, let's, I'm going to make another page and apply
in the same photo. Now what I can do is that I'm going to do take the background. Okay, let's just Sam
is go off the layer. I'm going to click on Position. Click on Layers, and
this is the background. I'm going to just
re click on it. I'm going to use Detached
Image from Background. You can see the background
has been detached. Now, I can take this over
here if there are any colors. I'm going to remove this. Delete. I'm going to do
is take it over here. I'm going to take it to page
three. And there we go. We have our page
three over here. I'm going to do is
take this one over on page three. There we go. We have applied it on
page three directly. Now you can change in contents, put in whatever you want, and you can also shape it
just the way you want it. You can also replace
the background. You can re click on it and you can crop it up however you want. Sing to use crop. Now you can
change how it looks like. You can also select
Background, remove, crop, Fix the transparency.
It's going to be up to you. We can also use background
remover so that it looks a lot more better while
it is on our background. Because the background
which is over here, the sky is going to look white. And also it's just going to keep the water intact and untouched. And another thing or advantage
about Canva is that it gives you a very professional and clean background remove. You can see how it looks like, you can see it and I'm
going to right click on it and this is going
to be our background. You can see that there are
no pick cells that has been, you know, that does not
have a premium finish. So it kind of is kind of
really good to work with this background remover in Canva because it gives
you a very good, good looking background remove. I'm going to press on control V, I'm going to keep
it right over here. And also this is how
it will look like. I'm going to click on Position. And you can see how
it is. I'm going to just press on Deletes. And here we go. I'm going to press on them. And you can also
go off to Uploads. And upload whichever one you want to use it as a background. So hope you learned
everything in this lesson on how you
will be able to use the color palette and also edit your own background or customize the background according
to your needs. So let's move on to our next
lesson of Canva Essential.
9. Basics of brand kit: Welcome back to our course
of Canva Essential. In this lesson, we are going
to learn about brand kits. We're not going to be
giving you further explanation about how you
can make a brand kit, or maybe how the
brand kit works, but I'm going to give
you a full explanation about how it is used and how
does it function in Canva. So without any further ado, let's just hop on the
Canva and show you what a brand kit is and
how can you use it. You can see that on my screen. I have opened up Canva. Now you can see on the
left side of the panel, in the left side of the
workspace of Canva, there's this option
called brand. Now when you click on it, there's already this brand
kit made in my account. Now even though I'm
not going to be making in a brand
kit for this lesson, because I'm going to
be skipping that part. But I'll give you
a full explanation on how this brand kit works. And what is a brand kit. A brand kit is a brand
fundamental asset or what type of elements you are using as your own brand,
as your elements. Now, what are the elements
that form up a brand kit? It could be your font, it
could be your color palette, and it could be your logo, your voice, your
images, your graphics, your icons, and each
and every element which you can apply in Canva. Now, when you are
trying to publish it, it will be named
with your brand, as your brand kit. Okay, so now you have a simple idea about
what a brand kit is. So as I already have one
of the brand kit which I can see on my screen
which is bang la font. Okay, I'm going to open
this up and there we go. We have a logo. Okay, so this logo is
turned as the brand kit. Or the brand logo of our kit, okay? Or our acid. Now when we go down, we can see that these are the main colors
of our brand kit, which is red, yellow and white. And from our color palette, we are using these colors. Now, also in our fonts, there is this specific font, which you can see over here. And this one over here, and also this one over here. Now I'll also give you an
example of how we can use it. Okay, so you can
see that there are a couple of font,
font and this font. And there we go, we have
subheading section header. Then we have body, then we
have coat and then caption. And then other ones
which are brand Voice. Well the brand voice is new. If you're using an
older version of Canva, it might not still appear up. So you have to download
the newest version and also stay connected
to the Internet so that you get phone functionality
and the new variants. And also tools of Canva. You can apply photos, you can apply graphics and also icons according
to your need. Okay, now as we are
done with our font, as we are done with our brand
kit on our premium account. Let me just show it to you how this works on a fresh account. Okay, you can see
that on my screen. I have opened up
another fresh account. Now this is free. So
when I click on Brand, you can see that brand to
set up your brand kit. And also you can apply
your logos colors. You can add colors. You
can see it over here. You can select whichever
color you want. Then I got select this color and I want to
add in another color. Let's say to use this and
there we go for the free one, I can use three of these
colors and the fonts you can apply in your color
or apply in your font. If you have upgraded, you know, premium or upgraded
to a premium account, that's going to be
up to you. Okay. So this is basically
how you use it. Now one thing is that as
we are on our free still, we have our color palette
of our brand kit. Right? So when we go off
to home and go off to presentation and I'm
going to do is going to be selecting any
color palette option. And if we go over here and
we select on brand kit. So these are the colors which
I applied on my brand kit. Okay, so these are
the color palettes. So I cannot apply another one because I have to
upgrade my canvas. But even though the three
colors which I selected to be of my brand kit
has appeared over here, So I'm going to cut this off again and go off to
my premium count. So I'm going to do the
same thing over here. I'm going to do is clock
on presentation over here trying to maybe
go off the brand kits. You will see the colors of our, you can see the colors of this option of our brand
kit has appeared over here. Okay. And we also have our
color palette over here. And then we have our fonts. Three of the fonts which we've seen on our brand
kit of this account. We also have our logo.
We can also apply it. I'm going to just
keep it on delete. Now the first thing
I'm going to do is go off the elements, or let's go off the design. Now, instead of this, I'm going to do is make
an Instagram post. Okay. I'm going to do is, let's say I'm going
to search for Instagram post. There we go. Now instead of Instagram, I'm going to do is
Instagram story. It will create up that
story, that panel for me. Now here I want to use this. Okay. Even though
I've used this, any of the one which
I want to use, I will find this
option of brand kit. Now from here, I want to use
the color of this brand kit. I'm going to just click on this colors option and you can see that it
has been applied. And you can also shuffle the
colors whenever you want. You can also apply the fonts
according to your brand. It see there's this brand
kit which has been selected. I'm going to select on these,
you can see the other ones. I'm going to delete
it. There we go. I'm going to select on it and then change it
if you want to. It's going to be up
to you from here. You can also shuffle
the colors according to your need and also see how
it actually looks like. That also works the same
way with the fonts. You can also click on L and then apply it
whenever you want. Let's say from here I'm going to change the color to
something like this. The red one looks quite good. Now if I select on this and
click on this color option, I can edit it and also change
it according to my need. You can also do the
same thing over here. Now I can change on this and select on the font which
we are trying to use. You can see it over here. This is basically how it works. Going to be up to
you whichever or however you want to
use your brand kit. As I hope you learned everything about
this brand kit option, but you can also apply a lot of things with these brand
kits which you have. You can make your own brand kit and also use them for
various purposes. And then upload it and also publish them for your
purpose or let's say for your benefits and also for getting
reaches on Canva. Thank you for watching
this video up til the end. Now let's move on
to our next lesson, where we are going to learn
about the animations that are available in Canva and how we will be
able to use them. Let's move on to that lesson.
10. Animation: Welcome back to our
course of Canva. Essential in this lesson, we are going to learn
all about animations and what animations Canva has to offer while you're
working on it. Without any further ado, let's just hop onto Canva. You can see on my screen, I have opened up Canva. The next thing I'm going
to be doing is opening up a presentation or a blank
presentation in Canva. Now obviously, I'm not going
to be making up a couple of sheets and also
showing you how we can make up presentation
and also animation. For this lesson, I'm going to be using one of these templates
so that I can show you all about the
animation you can do in Canva and also
how it looks like. So I'm going to do is
open one of it and apply all 11 pages of the
specific template. You can see it is
by Creative Studio. You can use it later on
whenever you want to. It looks quite good now as
I'm going to be using this. So the first thing
you're going to do is select on any of the pages. And you can see on the top bar there's this called animate. Okay? Now another thing is
that you can not only apply it directly to your page or your
presentation or your slide, you can also apply it directly
on the objects you have. Okay? So the first thing
I'm going to do is click on any of the page or
any part of the page, and I'm going to click on Anime. Now when you click on Animate, there are a couple
of these animations that are going to
appear up, okay? But one of the things
is that you cannot use morph in this software
which is Canva. So you have to keep
that thing in mind. But you will be able to
apply professional looking or really good looking
animations on Canva. Okay? So the first
one is very simple. You can apply it and there is this option over here called
when you want it to appear. Now you can press it
on Appear or Enter, or you want animation on exit. I start on for the first one, you can see that the
first one is both. First thing you're
going to do is present it, control alter, and P. I can see that
this is how it will look like when you open it
up on presentation mode. But when you go off,
there is no animation. To make the smooth transition, I'm going to click on exit, so I'm going to press
on control alt P, but there is no
animation on the first. But when you go off
to the second one, there's going to be this
animation for the next one, even though we get this section where the transition
is very sleek, or let's say it is
not that smooth. For that purpose, I'm
going to click on both. And I can also apply
it on all pages. Click on Apply on all Pages. Now I'm going to do is press on Control All P or you can
also go off to Share. And then you can
present it or send it to your teacher
whenever you want to. You can present it
whenever you want. Now I'm going to do is
click on any outside. I'm going to click on Share. And you can also
share it, but you'll also find this option
called present. Now, when you present it, how
do you want to present it? I'm just going to
click on Present. And there we go, we have it. I'm going to go off to page two and you can see
that we also have the same type of animation on each and every one
of these slides. Now, even if I go off
to the 11 page, it is, it will still give us the same, you know, the animation
which I applied. But let's say I don't want
any of the animation. Now if you want to apply or remove all of the
animation at once, select on any of the panel, click on the animations again
and remove all animation. Now, each and every one of them or do not have
any animation. You can see this how it works. You can see that this
is applied over here. What I'm going to do is
remove all animation. You can select on the
Removal animation. Removal animation. Now, all the animations
will be removed. This is basically how you
remove the animations. But you can also click
on one of the pages, which is going to
be our first page of Canva, our presentation. Now from here I'm going to be using the next one
which is called Slick. You can see that this
is how it looks like. It has the same features on exit on Enter where
you want it to appear. You'll be able to select where you want the
animation to appear. Now let's click on Fun
and how it looks like. You can see how fun looks like. I'm going to apply
it to all page. And you can also see
the same, you know, options which you can
apply on enter or on exit. Now let's go off the party. You can see this is how
the party looks like. Let's see how it will look
like on each and every one. Let's click on Party, Press on Control all top
and see how it looks like. Now even though that
I have appeared or applied this specific animation
on the specific slide, but I want a different animation
on a different object, let's say on this object. I want another, let's
say an animation. We can also apply it later on. I'm going to be showing
you, after I show you all of the animations
of our slides. So let's click on them. Okay, I'm going to
do is click on, let's say this time I
want a bit corporate. See this is how the corporate
animation will look like. Then we have this chill. Then on enter or exit, then we have rise. You can see this is
how it will rise. We can fix out the speed, okay? You can see the speed is now
lessened if you increase it. This is how the speed will be if you increase it like this. You can see this is
the fastest one. And then where you
want it to rise from either from the bottom
or either from the top, If you want it from the top, all of them will come
down from the top. It can also reverse
the animation, and this is how it
will look like. Now if I press on control all then go off to our
second presentation. It will cut down from the
top and it will reverse it back when it is going
up to our next slide. So this is basically how
this works on right now. Let's see how the pan works. You can also fix out if you want the direction from the
left or from the right, and also fix out the
speed and also on exit, or do you want it on enter? Now let's see how
the fade works. You can see on fade
you can also fix out the speed and this is
how it will look like. Now let's find out
how the pop works. Now you can see you'll
already be able to enter it on enter or on exit. Now on the wipe we
have it now on wipe, you can use four directions
according to your need. Either you want
it from the left, either you want it
from the right, also from the top, or
also from the bottom. It's going to be up
to you. Fix the speed according to your desire
and that will be applied. Let's see how the breath works. You can also how
you want it to be. Is it breathe out or
is it breathe in? You can see this is breathed
in and this is breathe out. Okay. Then you can
also fix the speed. You can see how the speed works. This is how it will look like. Now, what is baseline now? You want the baseline from the, from the left or from the right, or from the top, or from the bottom. It's
going to be up to you. Fix out the speed and
that will be applied. Okay, so make sure to use
it according to your need. Let's go off over here
and fix on baseline. Now we have also drift. There's also four
directions which you can apply from
according to your need. And also you'll be able to use tectonic and this is
how it looks like. We have a couple more
and then we'll be changing off the objects
of how it looks like. Another thing is that you
can also see a preview how the animation will
look like when you drag your mouse right
over the animation. This is how the tumble works. You can fix out the intensity. You can reverse the animation or exit animation when it is
going out to the next page. And also you'll be able
to use other ones. Let's see how the Neon works. You can see this is
how the Neon works. You can fix the intensity. You can fix it on enter or on exit is going
to be up to you. Then we have a scrap book. Now you want it on Enter because most of the time
it's on Enter and on exit. This is how it will look like, okay, if I click on both. So when I go off
to the next one, it will look like it
is now fading away. Again, not fading away, but actually is getting removed. Then we have is the stump. You can also apply it and see which one is up to your work. Okay, so I'm going to do is
click on any of the pages, click on this, click on Stump. And now the last one
is going to be block. Now for the block it is a
bit more, let's say advance. You can select on the
color of the block. Less to do is click it on from the left side or
maybe top and bottom, but I want the color
to be something. Let's say I want this
color over here, can see how it looks like. You can also use another
one less use this. You can also use this color
so it looks kind of good. Or you can use whichever
color you want or anything that goes with this panel
according to your need. So hope you understood
everything about the slide animation which
you'll be able to apply. And another advantage, just like I told you
from the beginning, you can apply the same thing on all pages so that it
doesn't look very distinct. Okay, now as we are done with
this now let's show you how you'll be able to animate
objects in your specific slide, even though it has that
animation of the whole slide. Now I want this one to
be a bit different, so I'm going to use, first off click on the object
which I have. You can also see that this is how you'll be able to
use text animation. You can see there's
object animation or elemental animation, and there is also slide
animation or page animation. There are three distinct types of animations which
you can apply. After this, I'm going
to be showing you how you can also apply
animations on videos. Well, let's just stick to the lesson and then
I will show you. Now click on any of the
objects, you can use rice. It also works the same way. It also works this
pen, then fade, pop. Then we have wipe, drift. And most of them are quite simple and quite the
same as the ones, I'm going to be skipping those. And you have these other
ones which are rotate, then we have a flicker, Then we have a pulse. You can apply same animation or let's say multiple
animation at the same time. Now, I don't want rotate, I want it only flicker. And also I want it, I'm going to click on
animation or remove animation. I'm going to click on flicker. And then we also have pulse. I'm going to click on that,
remove the animation, and we only have flicker. Okay? You can also use wiggle. You can see how it looks like. Now if I open up the
presentation mode, you can see this is how
it will look like, okay? Even though I have my
page animation on, it is still giving me
a different type of animation on the
object or the element. So now you know about
how you can also apply different animation
on elements in your page, even if you have an animation
applied to your page. So that it looks a bit different sometimes and also kind of good. Now we can also do the
same thing over here. Now let's say I'm going to be showing you how
you'll be able to do, let's say text animation. Click on any of the text and
then go off to animation. Click on this and then
you have this effect. Often you can also apply effect, but most of the time we just
want now a bit of animation. So I'm going to click
on this block option over here, right beside effect. And you can see this is
how it will look like. Well, it is also quite the same. You can apply rise, you can apply pan,
you can apply fade. Now there is another thing
about when you are using character animation
is that you can fix out the writing style
or what type of animation, or which animation you want. Now if I want the elements, I can use characters. You can see the characters
are now being animated. Now if you want only words, you can see the
words are animated. Let me show it to you. With a couple of ascent, you can see how different to fix the speed to
be a bit slower. You can see Word and I'm
going to use Click on Shift. Click on shift, you can
see how it looks like. Now if I want the whole line, you can see the
line has been used. Now you can use the character. There we go, we
have the character, This quite looks good. And you can also use
block, let's say. This is going to be the
one you can also use, See how good it looks, you skate, we have bounds
and also a couple of them. Then we have a bit of spread. You can see now
they are spreading. Now we have in and out. You can see now
it is getting in. You can see now it is just being congested until it fades away. You can apply Neon
on characters, You can see how it looks like. You can apply it on words, You can apply it online, and also even the elements. Then we have is rotate. You can see it will
rotate, it will flicker, it will pulse, and then
we also have wiggle. Now if I press on control, all NP, you can see this
is how it will look like. Okay, So hope you understood about character animations too. This is quite simple now
make sure to use it, whichever one you desire. You can see I'm going
to the next one. And then we are off
to the third one. We are off to the fourth,
and then we have fifth. You can see the animation over here looks quite good enough. So it's going to be up to you how you're
going to use that. Now for here I'm
going to do is use four animations on four of them. I'm going to click on
this, click on animates. I want this pan over here. I want a different fade. And next one I want Tectonic. The last one I want
a bit of neon. I'm going to press on this one, controls P and then go
off to the next one. And when I go off
to the next one, you can see all of them
are a bit different. Okay. Now if I use it a bit of Neon on this one, let's
see how it looks like. Or maybe a bit of scrapbook. Okay. Now on scrapbook, I'm going to do, okay. I'm going to keep it on enter
and I want it to pulse. Okay. I'm going to go off to my previous slide and then
I'm going to do play it out, Can see how it looks like, you can see this pulsating and you can see this is
a bit tectonic and the other ones are also a pot hope you learned
everything about the animations which
you can use in Canva and also how good
it actually looks. Well, there are also a couple of effects you can also apply. So let me just show it to you. Let's say you want
this on this one, and then you can also edit it. We'll show it to you later on. But when you are
using this character, you can also put on
effects on your specific, let's say our character
or maybe words. Here we have is shadow. You can apply in
a bit of shadow. You can fix out the offset. You can fix out the direction
according to your need. You can see that
how good it looks. You can also apply in blur, the shadow which I have. You can see how good
it looks now you can also fix the transparency.
That's up to you. Then we have is lift
how much you want it to lift up or
show the shadow. Then we have a bit of hollow. You can also apply it. You
can see the thickness. You can also fix out to be
more tick or maybe less thick. It also looks quite
good, in my opinion. Then we have the splice. This is how good it looks. This is going to be the outline. Fix out the thickness
according to your need. Then we have this echo.
Is this echo effect or a couple of the
same elements. Then we have a bit of glitch. You can fix out the offset. You can fix out the direction where you want the glitch to be. Then you can also fix the
color according to your need. You can click on it,
but one thing is that you cannot change
the color of these, because this is basically
how the glitch looks like. You can fix out the direction according to your need
and then apply it. Then we have a Neon, we can fix out the intensity of
that specific color. And you can also
change the color. It will change
according to the color, whichever one you apply
on the specific effect. Then you can go off the
background and also apply the stroke or a bit
of stroke over there. You can fix out the roundness,
You can fix it out. Let's say I'm going
to reduce the spread. I'm going to fix in
the transparency. And then you can
change the color. Let's say I'm going to do
is use a different color. Or maybe somewhere around over here or maybe a bit different. Let's say I'm going to
do is maybe this color, which I have now, it looks quite good, or you
just blends up a bit more. You can also change it according to your need I'm going to do. Go off the effect again. Then you can also
fix the spread. You can fix the transparency. There we go, we have the
transparency and then you can change the color and
also change the roundness. Then last one we have
is none and also curve. If you want any curve text, you can apply it according to your need and it
will be applied. So hope you learned everything about this animation
and also effect. Now let's open up a video
one and let's show you how you'll be able to apply animations on
your videos too. So I'm going to go off
on the right side, and then I'm going
to click on videos. Okay, So in our videos
what I'm going to do is going to be clicking on any of the template which I
have going to use this. And I'm going to do
apply all five pages. As all five pages
will be applied, then I'm going to do is
click on maybe animation. Click on animation. And then you'll be able to apply the same type of animations,
which you see over here. You can fix out
how it looks like. You can apply photo zoom, Photo flow and the
other options. Let's say block stump
scrapbook and we have Neon. And then we have stumble. And then Tiktonic. You
can see in between them. You'll also be able to apply an animation
to make it smooth. Before that, let
me just plate over here, even though it is playing. Now, after it ends, you'll see basically there is going to be this animation in the,
in the intersection. But I don't want none. So I'm going to
just now play it. Let's see how the
animation looks like. We can see that there is
literally no animation. So there is this very rough
type of transition going on. But we're going to do,
make it a bit smoother. Now how do we do that? First
I'm going to use deletes. I'm not going to be
needing them deletes. I'm going to just
keep two of them. And I'm going to do is obviously cut this out a bit.
Okay, there we go. And we also have a separate
lesson on how you'll be able to edit your videos
in Canvas. So wait for it. If you didn't watch it, you
can go watch it right now. But let me just show to you how you'll be able to
animate videos. Okay? Now first thing
I'm going to do is click on any of the clip which
I have in my screen. Now as I have this on my screen, what I'm going to be doing is clicking on this
option over here, which is this, you know, kind
of like an infinity sign. No, I'm going to click on that option and
you will find out the same type of interface will open up on this transition. Basically this is not animation, but this is basically
a transition. Okay? So these are
the differences. Now first thing I'm
going to be doing is going to be
applying and dissolve. This is how it will
look like when I put in slide. This is
how it will look like. You can fix out the duration. Now I want it on
0.6 second or 63. Now you can fix out
the direction from which side it will direct to or transition front we have
is this Cp circular wipe. Then we have is color wipe. You can apply or change the colors according
to your need. Click on them, I'm going to
do is click on this color, maybe use this on the next one I'm going to be
doing is clicking on this, select the color select on this, and I'm going to use
this on the next one. I'm going to select on this, click on the Color Picker tool, and there we go. We
have the other one. On the last one I'm going
to select on another color, which is going to be this one. There we go. The
I'm going to do, start playing it and let's
see how it looks like. You can see there's this color. You can fix out the duration. And also from which side
you want it to shift. Then we have is line wipe. There it is. You can fix out the direction
two of this one. Then we have is match and
move. You can also apply it. You can see when you
apply in any transition, the infinity sign will turn
into something like this. Press on, okay. And it
will work this way. You can see how the match and move works that we
have is this flow. I'm going to play it up.
Play it from over here. And this is how it will
look like on Flow. And this is basically how
it looks like on stack. Do is take it over
here, play it up, and this is how the
stack looks like. And then the last one
we have is chopped. Make sure to use
whichever one you want. You can also download
and transitions from online and then use it. Then we have is this option
called Canva Assistant. You can apply in video effect
according to your need. Now as it suggests effects. Now you can use
Background Remover. Let's use a pick.
There we have festive. You can see how good
it looks. Vivid, Okay. You can use whichever
effect you want to use. Let's say click on All and
use whichever one you want. Let's say Solar Epic. Then we have a
festive. Then we have summer and a couple of them, let's say selfie lens. Then we have Pony there and
then we have Roy's Drama. And then we have
Kelly Blues Nordic. It's going to be up to you
whichever one you want to use. And then we also
have gray skills, but among them I
like the festive, which is kind of looking
good and very vivid. So I'm going to be
keeping it on this. One I'm going to do is press on Play or press on your Spacebar. And you can see it
has been played. Now you know how you'll be
able to apply in animations, transitions on, let's
say, on your videos, on your presentation,
on your elements, and also on the characters
which you are using, Canva, while you're
working on it. So thank you for
watching this video. If you didn't understand a part, please let us know and we will guide you through
the whole process. Another feature is
that you can go off to any sites and also
get some inspiration. There's a couple of
inspiration you will find out on the net. Obviously, make sure the use are fiddled through
each and every of the tools and also each and every of these
animations there are, and then find out the one
which you are going to use. Let's move on to our next
lesson of Canva Essential.
11. Sharing collab: Welcome to another
lesson of Canva. Essential in this lesson, we are going to
be learning about sharing and
collaboration in Canva. Now as we are going to learn about sharing and
also collaboration, and obviously that Canva has a very advantageous
and a very feature, or let's say a
very good feature, which is sharing
and collaboration. Now one thing is that you can share it to any panel you want, even on your social media, your e mail, your
contacts, and everywhere. And another feature is that
you can work on a project simultaneously with
different people or even a group of
people at the same time. So I'm going to be
showing you all of those features
Canva has to offer. If you've seen my
interface of the course, you already know how
you can do that. But I'm going to be showing you another lesson or
a separate lesson of how you'll be
able to do that. Now what the first thing
you're going to do is going to be a lot seminar and make up another presentation, just like I did on
my previous lesson. Now as I've opened up a
presentation I'm going to do is click on any of the project I'm going
to do Apply that, Apply that Apply that Apply
that, just click on that. I'm going to just click on this Apply another page. There we go. I have all of these
creative project at the beginning and also a couple of these animations at the end. I can also apply this one. I'm going to keep it right over here, keep it at the front. There's going to be an agenda and we have is Ftell and spices. Okay. Now what I'm going
to be doing is that I want different people to
work on it at the same time. But before that I'm going
to be showing how you'll be able to share your project
whenever you want. First thing you
have to do is stay connected to the
Internet all the time. And also the next
thing you're going to do is stay connected
to the Internet. Okay. Now, another feature
is that you can also work on Canva offline and then send it to them later on
when you're online. But I'm going to suggest
you that you stay online most of the time so that
this option appears up, that all change is saved. Because that feature,
as this is cloud based, all of the features or all
of the progress which you do on your project is being
saved automatically. Now you can send it to
teacher if you want to, but you can also click on Share. When you click on Share, first thing you're
going to do is share it with which
people you want. Now you can see over
here, people with access. Okay. Now, what access do
you want to give them? Now here I'm going to
search for Neil Coke, 2947@gmail.com Okay. Now I'm going to do is click
on that specific person. And as I have it, I'm
going to hit on Enter. Now I'm going to do
is make sure what can that specific person
do Now I want that specific person
to edit that. Okay. At the same time you can also apply and messages
according to your need. Now I'm going to do
is cut this off. I'm going to do show it to you. Later on you can click
on At People and also add people
according to your need. Okay, now there is this
collaboration link. So first up now, how do you want that
person to access? Not only you can
access that file, even if you share it, So only you will be
able to share it, even if you share a link. Now if you share it with
anyone with the link, so anyone who has the link
to your file will be able to edit it or maybe see it or maybe comment it
according to your needs. Now if I press on, can view the person who
has the link will only be able to view it but not be able to change anything
on your project. Now if you click on Comment, that person can only comment
but not do anything. Now if you select on Can Edit, then that person will be able to edit it according
to their need, and also you are allowing
that person to edit it. Now we also have a couple of
other softwares which Canva already has and has that functionality to upload
or publish it directly. Now, if you are working
on Canva and you directly want to present
it on Google Press Room, just click on Google Press
Room and press on Continue. It will take it to
your web browser and then show you about
the Google classroom. And you'll be able to share
it whenever you want. You can click on
Go to Classroom. And then you'll be
able to, you know, just present, you know, let's say your project
whenever you want. Okay, so here we go. We have this feature now. We can also do other
stuff such as Share. Then you can also share
it to Microsoft team, such as Word presentation and all of those. Now
how do you do that? Click on Microsoft and
then press on Continue. It will show you about
the Microsoft team, about where you want to share it to make sure to stay
connected to the Internet. And it will obviously redirect you directly to the web browser. But if you have softwares, it will also ask you which
software you want to use. And then you're going
to do is sign up on Microsoft or stay
connected to Microsoft. And then you'll be able to
share it whenever you want. And then we also have
public view link. Now the public view
link basically applies or works in such a way that you
are publishing it. Okay, publishing it means that anyone can do anything
with your project. And I would suggest you to
not use the templates which are already published because you might get a
copyright strike. So make sure to be
cautious about it. And then we have a download. When you click on
download there is this option called file type. When you click on it,
you'll be able to use whichever format you
want, such as PDF. Pdf. Print PPTX, which
is for Powerpoint. You'll be able to open
up in Powerpoint, then PDF is for documents.
Then we have PNG. Then we have SVG, best for web design
and animation. Then we also have GI
F. So I'm going to be suggesting you to
use whichever one you want and then download it. And then we also have the
size according to your need. Whichever size you want. Just, you know, download that and then you'll
be good to go. Now there is this option called transparent background and also compressed file
to lower quality. But I most of the
time keep it on this because I don't want to compress file because when
you're compressing it, obviously the details
will reduce, okay? But make sure to use the size. It's going to be up
to you and then fix out whichever pages
you want to download. And then you can
save the download savings whenever you want. You can go through
them later on. Then another feature we have
is say Share the Socials. So you can see from
over here that there are a couple of these platforms, which are Instagram, Facebook,
Twitter, Facebook group. Then we also have Tiktok,
Facebook Story, Penturrest, linked in profile, linked in
page tumbler, and also Shed. So it's going to be up to you where you want to
publish it directly. You don't have to go to another software or
maybe to the browser. Open up the social media
platform or your app, or your phone app so
that you can upload it. Instead, you can just upload
it directly from Canva, and it saves up a lot of time. So make sure to fiddle with
them whenever you want to. Let's say if you want to
share it to Instagram, just click on Instagram and make sure you like link
your Instagram account directly and then you'll
be able to immediate post from mobile app or
CDU from desktop. Okay. So it's going
to be up to you. You'll basically see it
will work the same way. Make sure that you are
connected to Facebook, also Twitter and other
social platforms. And then you'll be able to
share it and collab with it. Then we also have sent
to teacher if you have any mentor or anyone you want to send it to or
let's say the owner. You can also give it
to someone special. It's going to be up to you
whom you want to add to. It can also give
access to people by clicking on this option
or clicking on this icon. I'm going to type in Neil Coke. I'm going to click on this 2947 Atmail.com I'm
going to click on, let's say, just like I said,
I want that person to edit. I'm going to click on S, let's
say neck 2947 at G mail. There's going to be a
dot to cut this off. There we go. Now at worst, I'm going to click
on Sent and that access will be sent to
that specific person. Design is shared. Now,
how do you open that up? I'm going to open
up my web browser and show you how you
can open that up. Make sure to go off
to Gmail first. As you can see that I have
opened up my web browser. I'm going to search for
Gmail.com Hit on Enter, and then it will take
you to Gmail workspace. I'm going to select my profile, or whichever profile I have, and then I'm going to do refresh it until that appears up. You can see that I will actually get you notice that
I have been invited. Now you can see that I have this e mail which
has been sent to me. Philip Jason Design has
been shared with you. So I'm going to
click on that and I'm going to click
on Open in Canva. I'm going to click
on Open in Canva. And there will be another panel or another new side
where you will be able to apply the same things now as this has been shared
and I can edit it now, whichever change I do will also take place on my other
account which I'm using. Less I'm going to
do is delete this. I'm going to do is minimize it. And you can see that this
part has been removed because I'm also
editing on that panel. Now I'm on my web browser again. Now you can see that this is
page one which I'm editing, Philip, Jason, He's
also on this panel. If I go on over here
and also edit it, I will see that on from my, you know, Dektop software, I will see that this person, I am now working on
the second panel. You can see it over here. Now you can see that
this specific person is now working on
the second panel. Now if I click on it, I'm
going to do remove this. And I'm going to go off to
my web browser and you'll see that there will not be
creative design anymore. You can see it over here. I'm going to go
off the creative. And you can see the
design has been removed. Okay. So this is basically
how you'll be able to work on and see which page is that
specific person working on. And another feature is that
you can put up comments. Okay, you can put
up notes over here, let's say on the third one, I want that to say. This will be displayed
in pre interview, so you can send the
text to someone. I'll also comment on it
according to your need. So I'm going to
click on Notes LS, fade on this one. Okay, I'm going to go off
to my, let's say this one. And you'll basically see
when I go off over here, go off the notes, use
fade on this one, because that person has added in that specific
note on this one. And we are collaborating at
the same time simultaneously. So these are the
advantages of using Canva. That you can use it at the same time
simultaneously and save up a lot of time and work with a lot of inspiration
at the same time. Because different people
has different perspectives. So hope you learned
everything about sharing and collaboration and how you'll
be able to do that in Canva. So if you didn't understand
any part or specific part, please question us.
It's totally fine. We will be able to help
you or we are there to help you with each
and every problem or any questions you have. So thank you for
watching this video. Up till the end Now, let's
move on to our next lesson, where we are going to
learn about charts, graph, and also photo editing.
12. Graph charts photo editing: Welcome to another lesson of this course of
Canva Essential. In this lesson, we are
going to learn about graph, charts and photo editing. So without any further ado, let's just open up
Canva on our PC. Now, as this lesson is going to be about graph
charts and photo editing, so we're going to
do both of them in two different presentations. So let's start off
with presentation where we are going to
open up graph and charts. So when you click
on presentation and a new interface opens up, so how do you make the
graph and chart in Canva? So the first thing
you're going to do is click on apps over here. If you're using
the newest version of Canva, click on apps. And then go down and
you will find out this option called charts. Okay, so click on charts, and you will basically find out different types of
charts to select from. Now, there are bar charts, line and dot charts, interactive charts, pie charts, infographic charts,
and other charts. Let me show a couple
of them for you. Among them, bar charts
are quite popular, right? So from here, I'm going to be doing is making one of these. And on the next one, I'm going to do is
make one of these. So two of them on
two of these, okay? And we're going
to do is go back. I'm going to do the same thing. We're going to apply
the other ones. Now, here, when you are
done with this chart, you'll basically see on the left side of the panel where we had our tools we now turn
into something like this, which is going to be our data section and also our settings. Now, one thing about
settings are we're going to start off with
a settings of a chart. Now, we have swap rows and
columns, we can see over here. Then we have show grid lines. You can make it visible
if you want to, you can see the items too. Then we have also show legends. If you want legends, you
can also apply it or remove it according
to your need. I'm going to do remove it
and just show the labels. Now you can go off
the data over here, and then you can do is Add in your item
according to your need. You can expand the data table
and apply your own data. Let's say here, I'm
going to type in 78, Pm type in seven, type in four and five, and then I'm going
to type in 39. There we go. And then have
cares five type in 56, 75, 32, 12 five. Okay? I do type in 40 41. Type in 41. Here I'm
going to type in 28. There we go. Los quite better. Cut this off. I'm
going to type in 27. There we go. Now it's
looking quite good. Now, all of them are
these data tables. Now I'm going to
type in the items. Let's say from here,
I'm to type in CPU. Hit on ter, I'm going
to cut this off mouse. I'm going to cut
this off, keyboard. I'm going to type in M
and type in mouse pad. There we go. You can also apply in another one, let's say, I'm going to type in
whatever headset. There we go. There we go, we have headset type N 42, 12, 23 21 and 25. There we go. We have the
data of each and every one, and it can also change whichever
type or format you want. Let's say we have
stacked bar chart. Now, if you want only bar chart, you can see how it looks like. We have road chart. You can
select it from over here. We have stacked road chart, and then we also have line
charts which you can use. You can basically use all of the charts that are
available over here. We're going to keep it on bar
chart or stacked bar chart, so it looks kind of good. So we have all of the data. Now you can move it
wherever you want. You can also select
on the roundness and fix in roundness
of these legends, which are over here or
the stacks which I have. Then we also have the spacing. You can see you will be able to fix the spacing of
each and every one, and then you can
change the color. Okay? So first off, if you want to change the color, click on any one of them. Let's I'm going
to select on red. On the next one I'm going
to do is use yellow, and this one, I'm
going to use white. And the next one I'm going to be doing is put on this one. The last one I'm going
to put is this color. And on the white, I'm
going to do change it to maybe something yellowish
or a bit kind of like this. Then you can see that our
color pattern has changed. You can also apply gradients
according to your need. I'm going to click on edit and
you'll be able to edit it, but I'm going to keep it on somewhere around
Las select on it, and then you can go
off the colors and apply whichever color you want, solid or feel or maybe even different colors
according to your need. So I hope you understood
everything about this. Now let's go off to another one. If you want to change the chart directly without
changing the data. What you can also do is
click on Edit and then select these and I'm going to do change it
to something like this. Okay? Then you can click on you can add comments
if you want to. You can apply different items. You can apply the roundness. We can apply you know, edit it according to your need. We can do the same
thing over here. You can also upload
our add data Trog CSV. It's going to be up to
you, how going to do it, and you can expand
the data table. Now you can also apply
different type of charts. We have also different type
of charts, such as this one, or maybe I'm going
to do click on Edit and then I'm going
to do change it to lines. You'll be able to
apply in lines. You can see how good it looks. You can change it, or change how the dots
basically look like. You can see now triangle
and we have star. And all of them, and
also the marker size, you can increase or decrease
it according to your need. So I hope you understood
everything about this. You can fix out if you want it round or maybe
directly cornered. You can also fix
the line weight. You can fix it up,
increase the size, make it thicker, and also
round it up if you want to. Then we go off to the next one, then there we have a scatter
plot. You can fix it up. You can go off the data table
and change your own data. We can also apply different
ones such as this one. Also looks kind of good, but you won't be
able to edit that. Then we have this
interactive charge. You can also interact with them later on because these are kind of a lot better than the
ones which you are using. You can also clear the data, and you can see no data
has been displayed. And then let's go
off to the next one. There we have is this boxes where you can also use
it as a chart for, let's say, you know, for presenting data
according to your need. Now, let's see the other ones. Now we have infographic charts. Well, the infographic charts are basically a bit different. Now, it's going to be
different according to you. It's basically a pictogram. Now I'm going to do
is put in a text box. I'm going to do is add text box. I'm going to type in
one or let's say, three out of 25 should be read. Now, three out of 25
should be read, right? And I'm going to click on that and you can fix out the items. It is going to be the
one linking to this one. So I'm going to do is
fix at the total item. So three out of 25. So 25 and fill item on the, you're going to type in 25. Hit on Enter, and you can see this is how it
will look like. Then you can change the color. Lets change it to red. You can see this is the
tree which are red, and the other ones are
a bit different. Okay? So now you know how you'll be able to use these
interactive ones. You'll be able to change them and also according
to your criteria. So this is basically how
the pictogram works. Now let's go out to another one, and let's see what we have or what the charts
have to offer. Then there are also other ones. Let Sm supply this.
The next one. Less keep it right over here. And here, I'm going
to put in this one. You can also change them
according to your need. Let's I'm going to use this one, and the last one, I'm
going to use this. So there are a couple of these which you'll be able to use. Then I'm going to click on that. You can fix up the percentage. Now I want the percentage to be somewhere around 75, okay? 75. This is how 75 looks like. You can fix the line
weight. It's up to you. Now, if you want a
percentage label, you can click on it, and you
will see the percentage. Now you can also fix in
the rounded end points, 75, ni fi type in 100.
It will look like this. Ninifiyp in 25, you'll
basically see it will reduce, and it is 25 now. It works the same way you
can change the color. Now you can see that the
percentage is this one, and this is going
to be this one. And here, I'm going
to click on it, and the percentage should
be I'm going to use percentage label
67 and want it 86. You will see the yellow will increase and the
red will decrease. You can also make sure
that this is white, and it looks quite better
than how it is, right? Now I'm going to do
change this one too. I'm going to change
it into this. And the next one should be something around
this. There we go. Looks quite good.
I'm going to do select on this and fix
out the percentage. I'm going to fix up
the line weight, and you can change or keep it however you want.
Let's say, 20%. Now, let's do the
same thing over here. You can see the meter
is now changing. Now, let me type in
any number 56, maybe. Hit on enter, and you can
see how good it looks. So you can use
whichever charts or, you know, bars, whichever one you want according to your need. And we also have different
types of charts, let's say, this one, you'll
be able to apply item. We can also change them
and also duplicate, show timing. It's
going to be up to you. You can also add an
alternative text and also download the section
according to your need. I hope you understood
everything about these. Now you can also, you know, link it up if you need to. Let's say, I'm going to
select on this and you'll basically see that whichever
data you can apply. Now, another advantage
is that you can also link it to Google
sheets and also apply it. Now you can see
this is histogram. You can also use scatter plot. It's going to be up to you, how are you going
to work with it. So we are done with our graph and chart and
also all the tools, which, you know, let's say, Canva has to offer for us. Now, let's go off to photo edit. So I'm going to cut this off and I'm going to do is make sure to go over here and find
out dextop wallpaper. I'm going to click on it and wait for it until it opens up. Now, as this has opened up, I'm going to click on upload. I'm going to use one of
the photos which I have used which is from my
resource file of Canva. So I'm going to do
is upload file. I'm going to use weight. I'm going to do is on my
resource file right now. I'm going to do is lock any of the photo
which I want to use. Let's say from here, I want
to use this press on open, and that photo will be
opened up in a while. So I'm going to wait
a bit, and you can see this is opened over here. Now, I'm going to
do is click on it, and I'm going to do rotate. You don't need to
basically rotate. You can hold on a shift first and you can see
how it looks like, and you can flip flip vertically
or maybe horizontally. It's going to be up to, R may
be rotated if you want to. Then you can rotate like
this if it doesn't work, then you can increase the size. And this is how it
will look like. Okay. So as we're
done with this, now the next thing I'm
going to be doing is going to be clicking
on it and crop it up. I'm going to doom out a bit. Do is I'm going to do go back and crop that out. I'm going to click
on Smart crop. That has been cropped out. So I'm going to do is hit
on done, and there we go. So here, I'm going to
do edit that photo. Now to edit that photo, I can click on Edit image. Now, when I click on Edit image, you will basically see this
is how it will look like. We can use whichever
one you want. So let's start off
from the first one. On the first panel, we have this recently used
ones filters, kay? Now you can apply these filters such as background remover. Then we have this photogenic. Then we have a slicer, as you can see that I have used that slicer in my
previous lesson where I used to slice it. So you can use photogenic. You can use whichever
filters you want to use. Let's go through a couple of
them. You can see fresco. You'll be able to apply in
effect so that it looks a lot more better and vivid or maybe a bit of
different colored. It's going to be up to you.
You can use this other ones. You can fiddle through
each and every one of them and use the one which
you want to use. Now you can also find out
monochrome ones, let's say, dream, okay, over here, which looks kind of light. You can apply them, and there is also color pop you
will be able to use. Well, you can use
whichever one you want, There we have minty. Now I'm going to
keep it on minty. I'm going to do is go back and use other, you
know, filters, which I have, let's say
I'm going to do is use the slicer over here.
You can see chipped. And then we have a
slice that we has torn, and then minced Is
going to be up to you, whichever one you want to use. Now, from here, there are also
a couple of other things. We have brightness,
saturation, and contrast. And I can fix the brightness, I can fix the contrast
and also the saturation. I'm going to use fixing the
contrast to be a bit lighter. I want the brightness
to be a bit, you know, lower than
how it actually is. Then you can use filters or other filters which are
kind of very basic to use. And also, you can use
ones which you can download or also from
the website, okay? You can see whichever
one you want to use. Let's say from here,
I'm going to do is use this epic or
whichever one I Okay, solar is kind of good, very soft, smooth, and you can also fix the
intensity of that. It's going to be up to you.
So I'm going to keep it on this ally and keep it
just the way it is. And you can fix the intensity
from over here too. You can also keep it on zero so that no effect has been
applied or you can increase it 100% so that
it looks a bit different. But you can also fix in the
saturation brightness and also the contrast so that it looks a bit different
from how it looks like. But one thing is that
if you use the filter, the adjustments will be removed. But there's a lot
more adjustments which you can do over here. Then you can fix
out the brightness, contrast, saturation, tint. Then we have is blur. You
can also apply and blur. We can fix out x
process, the big net. Then we have is the warmth, then we have clarity, then we have is this vibrance. Then we also have highlights, shadows, and then fade. Okay. Okay, there are a couple of things
which I've applied, and then you can also save
it up if you want to. Now, the filter or all the
effect has been applied. Now I can go off the
photogenic and use them. We use the photogenic already. Now you can also
have smart mockups. Now I can use this smart mockup, which you can see over here. And in the Smart mockup, I'm going to do apply
that specific, you know. You can see that the photo, which I was using
right now has been marked up directly
into the laptop. So basically, this is how
you'll be able to work with. I'm going to press on
Control Z. Control Z again. I'm going to keep
it however it was, and I'm going to just revert
it to how it looks like. Okay, I'm going to keep
it right over here, increase the size,
and there we go. Okay, there are a couple of mock ups which you'll
be able to use. You can go off to apps
and use different type of photo softwares or maybe
a couple of extensions, which you'll be able to use. Now, you can go off to
click on edit image. Then we have a couple of other things such as, you know, slice, and there are these options
which are kind of beta. So these are kind of new. So let's try each and
every one of them. This is auto enhanced, so it's going to
enhance the photo. I'm going to press on open. Well, these are
basically extensions, which you can apply, and you can use it for
various purposes too. It's going to download
it and also applied it. But as these are Beta, it will take a bit of
time to apply those. So I'm going to wait for
a bit until it opens up, and then we can also go through the other extensions of
photo, which we can see. And you can see this is
how it will look like, and you can see the original. You can see how
different it looks. It looks a bit more colorful. So original, you can see
a bit more colorful. And if I click on it, you can see this looks a
bit more natural, right? I can go back and then
use the other ones. You can see face retouch. Well, these are
basically extensions are kind of like apps
which you can use. You can also use pixelate. Let me show you for the last
one or the last extension, and then you basically
know all about it. And the thing is that
if you want to use different photos or edit them directly from
Canva, you can use it. Okay? So first thing I'm going to do is you
can see Palette, you can see this is pixelated, you can plated, grains, and then we have shatter, dots, matrix, and all of them. And you can apply
them if you want to. We also have Prisma. Okay, we're going to do click on it
and see how it works. But for this one, I'm going
to do apply another photo. Let's say from here, I'm
going to do upload file. And then from here, I'm
going to do select on this. Press on open. I'm
going to just wait for a while until it opens
up or appears up. Then I'm going to
use that for that, you know, extension, which
I downloaded right now. I'm going to do just
click on this, supply it. And I'm going to do is
get onto edit image. I'm going to do is
go off over the top. What I'm going to do is find out the one which I'm
going to be using. You can see supplic Prisma. Okay, we have
already the Prisma, apply to our photo editor, our photo editing section. Now, I'm going to wait for a
bit until it is applied on, you know, the photo
which I have, and then wait a bit. Okay, we are having trouble. So I'm going to do wait
a bit more and then apply whichever effect you
want to apply on these. Let's say I'm going to
use typing pattern. And I can see that
our app, you know, the file or whatever
effect which we're trying to apply has been applied. We can go
through other ones. Let's say I want to
a bit of lizard. And next I'm going to do is use the snowfall and
see how it works. You can see that is it applied, that lizard effect, and how does it look
like on snowfall. We're going to wait a
bit until it is applied, and this is basically
how it will work. So you can use whichever one you want according
to your desire, and then apply it on your photo, which you are trying to use. So I hope you learned
everything about this lesson on graph and charts
and also photo edits, and you can also
animate your photo and fix out your position
according to your need. Can see how good it looks. See. So thank you for watching
this video till the end. Now, let's move on to our next lesson of
Canva Essential Lesson.
13. Instagram post: Welcome back to
another lesson of this course of Canva, essential. In this lesson, we are
going to be learning about creating an
Instagram post. So without any further ado, let's just hop onto the
lesson by opening up Canva. Now as we've opened
up our Canva, I'm going to click
on Create a Design. And I'm going to go off
the Instagram Post Square, or whichever one you want. Search for Instagram over here. Instagram. And then
find out the one, whichever one you need. Let's say I'm going to be using this portrait so that
I get, you know, most of you know, the details or most of the elements
which I can put. Now as I have my page now, select up any of the niche or whatever you want
to post it up on. And what type of post
do you want to upload? Okay, so let's say I'm going to do is
search for something vintage on enter and you can see that this is
going to be my vintage, you know, let's say the
vintage look in post. Now from here I'm going to be doing is going
through a couple of them and then change out
whichever one I want. Let's say from here
I'm going to be using this one or maybe
something like this. Okay? Let's say I'm
going to try this. If this works out, we're going to do is make
a couple more. And I'm going to click
on it. And there we go, sorry. We are closed. Opened at specific time. So let's just select this. And instead of this I'm going to be doing is
changing these ones. Okay? I'm going to do is
change these ones and turn it into something
more like a post. Okay. Which you can
use on your Instagram. Now, how do you do that? First thing I'm going to be
doing is going to be applying a photo and then applying a couple of details
on these ones. Okay. As we are done with this, I'm going to be doing is go
off to my uploads and I'm going to do upload a
couple of things now. Obviously if you want photos, there are going
to be a couple of sites where you can
download it from. Now, open your own web browser. You can see that I have
opened up my web browser. Now you can search for Pig Sales.com or you can
also go to unsplash. Okay? Use whichever
one you want. Now, most of the time I prefer
getting it from pig sales. So I'm going to do is go over
here and I'm going to do is search for coffee. Hit on Enter. We can also search
for coffee shops. There we go, I'm going
to do search for coffee shops and find out the
one according to my need. So I'm going to do is go
down and find out the one. I'm going to do the
same thing over here. On Splash, you can search
from over here, coffee shops. Now you can see that
there are a couple of photos which you will be able to apply and
which will look good. From here. I'm going
to do is take this. I'm going to
download this. Okay. You can see that this
one is being downloaded. I'm going to do the
same thing over here. Find out, you can use
whichever side you prefer. Now I'm going to
do is use these. And you can also
see that this one will also start downloading on this workspace or on my web browser you can
see has been downloaded. I'm going to click on this, click Download over here. And we're going to wait a bit until it starts downloading. And if it doesn't,
then you also have the other website which
is going to be Splash. You can also download
it from there. Now it's going to be,
depending on your net speed, how fast it's going to download. As I have two of these photos, I'm going to do the
last one as a shop. So let me just go down
and find out a shop or let's say I'm going
to use this one or not. This one I'm going to
do is use this one. This looks really good after I'm done on the
downloading these, well this is just
an inspiration or which side you can use
for downloading photos. I'm going to go off to our
Canva and then I'm going to do is upload the photos on
canvas so that we can use it. Now obviously the photos we downloaded are going
to be stored in our, let's say, resource
files of Canva. Open up the resource files
and then upload all of the photos which I
have downloaded right now or which you will
download right now. Now I'm going to do
is click on Uploads. I'm going to click
on upload file. And you can see all of
them are over here. I'm going to do is
press on Control, Upload, all of them
at the same time. I'm going to click on
Select and Upload. And you can see those are, let's say all of
the photos which I selected are now being uploaded. Now I'm going to do,
instead of we are closed, I'm going to do is apply in
a couple of details first. Now I'm going to do is go off the elements on Elements
I'm going to do is search for coffee on enter. I'm going to go off
the graphics and apply whichever one I need
so that it looks good. Okay, As I have them
I'm going to do is use the maybeD that it looks good, you can see how it looks like. I'm going to do keep a
couple of them over here. I'm going to do
maybe rotate a bit. Make a couple more
copies of these. I'm going to do is make a lot of these control Z. I'm going to make a pattern
out of these coffee mugs. I'm going to do is take this
over here. There we go. And I'm going to do
is click on Position. I'm going to go off the layers. I'm going to select
on all of them. You can see it over here. I'm going to select each
and every one of them. Then I'm going to go down and
find out all of the ones. And I'm going to do is decrease the transparency so
that it looks good. I'm going to press on control. I'm going to take
it at the bottom, can see how it looks like. Still I'm going to
click on transparency. I'm going to do decrease the transparency of each
and every one of them. There we go, we have
it I'm going to do is click on this option
over here. Click on it. And you can change the
style of these ones too. Now even though as we have it, I'm going to click on all of the items
which I have over here. I'm going to do is
change the color and make sure that they
look like this. Okay, I'm going to do the same thing on each
and every one. You can do that if you want to. You can also click on,
let's say, position. I'm going to click on
this option over here. And then change the color. Let's not keep any one of them. You can also animate
them if you want to. You can also change the colors
according to your need. But I'm going to use
press on control Z and also keep them however it was. You can see how good it looks. Now I'm going to
select on them again. Click on Position, click on this option, click
on Transparency. I'm going to do reduce it a bit more that it looks better. Okay, we're done with this part. Now I'm going to do is start off with applying a
bit more elements. I'm going to do is
search for clouds. Now as I have clouds, I'm
going to select on CL. From here I'm maybe instead of Cloud I'm
going to do search for coffee again. I'm
going to click on C. All then I'm going to do is going to be finding
out the one which I need. Now let's say I'm going to
do is go down a bit more. Maybe I'm going to do is use one of these I'm going to do is take this over here,
can see it over there. I'm going to do is
change the color. I'm going to select on this
and maybe use one of these. Okay. Not this I'm going to do is make it a bit more darker. There we go, I'm going to
keep it the way it is there. I'm going to do is click on, let's say Layers.
Click on Position. Take it at the bottom. Okay. Now it is
looking quite good. That I'm going to
do is going to be applying or clicking
on Elements. And I'm going to do apply in my whatever there is or
let's say our photo frame. First I'm going to do is
take this one over here. We're going to use this, okay, because it looks good. Right? I'm going to do
take it right over here, center aligned. There we go. I'm going to do is delete this. I'm going to do is click on it. Okay. We are going to be
clicking on over here. Keeping it a bit down. I'm going to do, take it a bit. I'm going to do is apply in a couple of photos
which I've downloaded. So I'm going to do is click
on Elements over here. Go down and you'll
find out these frames. And I'm going to select our CL and find out the
ones which I want to use. I'm going to do is find out the frames which you want to use according to your desire. I'm going to wait a bit until all of them has appeared up. You can see this is
how it will look like or you can apply
whichever one you want. I'm going to do is
use this over here, which I can see I'm going to do, take it around over here. I'm going to do is click on
Uploads and select the file. Or select the one
which you want to use. I'm going to use this and see this is how
it will look like. Just reduce it. I'm going to
do is select it over here. I'm going to do is
take another frame, which I'm going to be using. Click on Elements again. Let's say on this one
I'm going to be using maybe something which looks good or maybe
something like this. Okay, I'm going to do,
take another plot. I'm going to do, take
it right over here, keep it the way it is over here. I'm going to take
this at the bottom. Maybe it doesn't look that good, but I'm going to
decrease the size. And there we go, this
is how will look like. And then I'm going to
click on Elements. I'm going to do is
put in another photo which is going to
be quite the same. I'm going to do is
click on Uploads. I'm going to do is
maybe this one. Okay. Now I'm not going to be editing any
one of them right now. I'm going to do to remove this because I don't
like it that much. I'm going to do is click
on Elements again. And this time I'm going
to do is go back. I'm going to find ribbon. I'm going to do is
use this over here. I'm going to do is click
on the one over here. Okay, I'm going to do
increase the size. I'm going to select on it and change the color to
something like this. I'm going to do keep
it just the way it is. I'm going to put in
my text over here. I'm going to click on
Text option over here. I'm going to change
this and we are open. There we go. Looks better or quite better than how it was at the beginning.
We are open. I'm going to do is click on this text over here,
or maybe this text. Change it over here. I'm going
to just type in welcome. I'm going to select
this text over here and I'm going to change it
to something different. Let's say I'm going
to go down and find out the one
which I want to use. I'm going to go a lot and you can change it
to whichever one you want. Let's say I want it
to be looking good. Okay. You can see,
you can use this one. Maybe it's up to you can see
welcome, which looks good. Now, I'm going to go
a bit down right now. Okay. So that we can
use something which, which goes with the
We are open text. What I'm going to
do is use this. Okay. Now as we have
it I'm going to do, take it right over here. Welcome. I'm going
to do is take this, change the color into maybe
white or maybe black. I'm going to type in black. Let's just click on it, but let's type in the
name of this coffee shop. Okay, let's try in. Quirky Beans. Quirky Best position
it wherever you want. And if you want it to be, let's say a bit bigger
or maybe a bit smaller, but you know, obviously a bit curved. You can do that too. Click on this text,
click on Font option, or click on this Animate
option or Effect option. And then go down and
you will find out, obviously there will be this Curve text
option over there. I'm going to click on Position and keep it wherever it is. You can also go off the
effect and apply it. You can see curved option, you can change the curve. Can change the
curve of how it is. You can see this is
how will look like. Looks quite good, right?
Keep it right over here. Quirky beans. We are open
till this time. To this time. Okay. I can make
a post about it. Can also change the frames
if you want to let, I'm going to delete this frame, then I'm going to
go off to elements. I'm going to just cut this off. I'm going to go off to frames. Okay, I'm going to go down, click on, See all frames. Then I'm going to
just go down and find out the one which looks good. I'm going to select
on this. I'm going to click on, let's say Upload. And then I'm going to
supply this photo. You can see how good it looks. I'm going to change
it right over here. Turkey Beans coffee shop. Okay, so we are done with
this Instagram post. Next thing what you can
do is click on Share. You can download it or
directly on to Instagram. So thank you for watching
this video up til the end. If you want to decorate it more, it's going
to be up to you. You can change up more fonts. Let's change this
color if you want to. It's going to be totally up to you how you're
going to work with it. Okay? You can also go through a couple of these, you know, colors, which you
can see over here we are open and all of them. Okay, so thank you for
watching this video. Up til the end now let's
move on to our next lesson, where we are going to be
making a logo in Canva.
14. Logo design: Welcome back to another
lesson of Canva. Essential in this lesson, we are going to learn
about how we can make a logo design by using Canva. Let's open up Canva and
start our logo design. Now I'm going to do is click on Create a Design
and find out Logo. Now when you search for logo, you can see logo will turn
up on the first one, okay? Use that one. Or if you want to use for different purposes, you can also select them. Now you can see that
there are a couple of templates to
select from and use, as this is going to
be how we can make a logo design in Canva. We can make it very
simple if you want to. We can also make it quite
astonishing if you want to, you can also select styles
of whichever logo you want to use or whichever templates
of logo you want to use. Or you can also use your own
brand kit for your purpose. But as we are not going to
be using our brand kit, let's just make it
from scratch or either we can make it
from whatever we want. Now the first thing
I'm going to be doing is going to
be very simple. I'm going to do is
click on at a page. And in the next page I'm
going to click on Upload. I'm going to do is take one
of the photos which I've uploaded previously and
use it for this purpose. You can see that I have
my uploads over here. Now the photo which I'll be using is going
to be a bit different. So if it is not over here, I'm going to click
on Upload a File. And from here I'm
going to be doing is, let's say I'm going to
use this person open. I'm going to wait until
that appears up now. Then I'm going to be, is
going to be removing MK. I'm going to remove the
background of these photos. I'm going to do is increase
the size first and then I'm going to just remove the
background from this photo. I'm going to click on
that, Edit the Image, I'm going to use Find Out
Background remover now. I'm going to wait until all
of the ones has been removed. After they are removed
I'm going to be doing is that using
the ones which are, which has stayed back are, you know, the watermelon cuts. Okay. Because those
are the parts that will still remain if
I remove the background. So you can see that
the background will be removed and only these
ones are over here. Now from here I'm going to do is obviously I'm going to
try to make an icon, or let's say a local, out of it. So the first thing
I'm going to be doing is that I'm going
to select on this. I'm going to click on say, okay, this part has
been removed totally. So I'm going to
press on Control. I'm going to just keep
it just the way it is. Control Z again, I'm going
to do is going to be clicking on Edit Image
Background Remover. And I'm going to wait a bit
more because I discarded it. I'm going to select the
parts which I want to use. Let's say for this
one I'm going to be restoring a couple of
things which are over here. To restore the
parts which I want and then keep them
so the brush size, shore, original image concede that there are basically
no differences. Quite literally no differences. I'm going to select
and restore for a while and then see
how it looks like. There we go. As we're done, I'm going to do is keep
only one of them, Ok, we're going to use it
as a. I'm going to take this part A over here. I'm going to use Erase. There we go. I'm going
to click on Done. And there we go, we have it. I'm going to select
on click on it. I'm going to do click crop it out because I
don't need all of it. I'm going to click on, maybe not micro
press on control, and there we have it. I'm going to click
on this crop option. I'm going to click on
this option over here. I'm going to just crop it out. There we go. On
Enter. There we go. We have our slice. I'm going to do keep
it on the first page. There we go. Now I'm going
to use this as our logo. One of let's say'm going
to use it for my logo. I'm going to click on
Element again and I'm going to search for Circle. On Enter, you can
see the circles. I'm going to use this one. This is going to be our outline. Okay, This one is going
to be our outline. I'm going to do
increase the size here. I'm going to edit the image. Okay, we have this edited. I'm going to do, we have this option called
color mix or dual ten. Okay? You can use
whichever one you want. All I'm going to
do is use sliced, okay? Double click on it. Reduce the number of
slice I'm going to do. Reduce it a bit more. Okay? I'm going to
keep it like this. Fix the offset. Fix the
position. Let's say we have it. I'm going to do is select
on this item over here. Inside this, you can
see it over here. I'm going to do is click on
Position. Click on Layers. I'm going to do increase
this over here. Type in Apple I'm going
to do is click on Text. Add a text box. I'm
increase the size, type in PLE select on this. I'm going to do is
change the font, whichever one I want to use. Let's say if I want to use this, I can use it, but I'm not
going to be using it. I'm going to go down and
find the one which I need. I'm going to do is go down and find the one which I'm
going to be using. I'm going to do is fiddle
through a couple of them and then let's
try finding the one. I'm going to go a bit more down. Maybe I can use this. Okay? Increase the size. Increase
it from over here. There we go. I'm going
to take this a bit bigger to be a bit more bigger. Okay. Next thing I'm going
to be doing is going to be, I'm just going to apply some
effects on this specific, let's say this text. I'm going to click on it. I'm going to press
on this duplicate. You can see this
duplicate over here. I'm going to do is click, I'm going to do is click on
the upper one, which I have. I'm going to click on, let's say position can see this one. On this one I'm going to do
is apply in a bit of effect. I'm going to do is
click in splice, okay? Make sure to use splice and
see splice or maybe hollow. Okay, that's not visible, But what I'm going to be doing
is clicking on Elements. I'm going to do Search for
Smoke, it don't enter. I'm going to do is maybe
apply in a bit of this, can see now how the
smoke is now working. I'm going to click
on this position to take it up above here. I'm going to click on the smoke now and see how the
smoke is now visible. I'm going to delete the smoke because I'm not going
to be using that smoke. I'm going to click on,
let's say smoke again. And I'm going to do
maybe red smoke. Use purple smoke or maybe red. Okay, let's try red
because it will match with the watermelon
which we're using. Click on L. I'm going to do
is maybe go down a bit more. Okay, we can use like this one. Okay, We can use this one. Totally. I'm going to do is select on this smoke over
here I'm going to do is first off rotate
it in this manner. Do take it over here. Click on position I'm going
to do take it over here. Can see how it looks like. We're not going to be taking like a whole lot
of it going to do, decrease the size a bit. Fix on the transparency I'm selecting on this
watermelon which I have. I'm going to click on Position
Water Melon at the top. Now we have our logo, which is going to be Apple, C, P, L, E. I'm going to do
is click on Position again. Click on this. I'm
going to do is take it a bit at the bottom. Rotate it. I'm, you can
change it if you want to. I'm going to click on this
Transparency or Edit image. I'm going to select on Epic or maybe Festive Summer,
whichever one you want. Basically, I'm going
to click on All I do, go through a couple of these
options and there we go. It looks a lot more
better As we're done, we're done with our logo,
then what you're going to do, save it up and use it
for later purpose. Next thing I'm going to
do, select all of them for sign control G. And there we go, we have our logo done. You can also apply in
different elements, such as, I'm going to click on elements, I'm going to do
search in for Apple. And then there's going to be
a couple of things which you will be able to
use or maybe logo, so that all of the logo
steps will appear Up. Click on All, then you'll basically see that
there are a couple of things which you will be able to apply such as this one, Nj. Click on this, I'm
going to just increase the size and I'm going to
just take it right over here. Click on, I'm going to use, first off, click on this
position over here. I'm going to just press on, click on this and ungroup them. And then you're going to
take it at the bottom. You can see this is how
it will look like, okay? You can also change the
element whenever you want. Let's say I'm going
to search for logo again, if you
find anything good. We're going to use apply
this and then we're going to use end
this lesson, okay? We can use this one
or maybe this one. It's going to be up to you
whichever one you want to use. Use whichever one you want. And then there we go. We will have your own logo. This is going to be my logo. Just remove the part
which I don't want. I'm going to click on
Position this, Delete. I don't want that. Just
click on Elements. I'm going to do Search for logo, maybe I'm going to do search for something which
looks good with it. I'm going to go down. You can see that it's good, but I don't want that. I'm going to be doing is
clicking on this one. You can see over here,
there we go. We have it. I'm just going to take
it at the bottom. There we go, we have it. Hope you understood
everything about this lesson. If you have any questions, then feel free to ask me. We'll guide you through
the whole process. Thank you for
watching this video and staying up till the end.
15. Video editing: Welcome back to our
last lesson of Canva. Essential. In this lesson, we are going to be editing a video in Canva and this is going to
be a very short video. I'm also going to be showing
you an effect of how you'll be able to apply it
while making your videos, or also how you can
edit the videos in Canva without
any further ado. Let's just hop onto Canva and open up the video
editing platform. When you've opened up, click on the video option
I'm going to do is go on the right and you will basically see this
video play video. I'm going to click on this video option and
I'm going to do is apply one effect which I'm going to be using
in this lesson. Now there are a couple of ways and if you've seen
my previous lesson, you already know how you can
edit your videos in Canva. Now the first thing I'm
going to be doing is clicking on this open panel. Now here I'm going to
be doing is making an effect or how you
can apply an effect. Okay? So I'm going to be
doing is clicking on text. And here I'm going to do
is add a textbox here. I'm going to type in green. Okay, I'm going to select
or highlight this text. I'm going to do is make it something different,
which looks good. I'm going to keep it on Carter. One increase the size as
I've increased the size. This looks quite good. Okay. I'm going to make it
a bit more brick, bigger. Keep it bigger. Keep getting it bigger. There
we go. We have green blue. Now I'm going to be
doing is that I'm going to take this control C, control V. I'm duplicate. There we go. We
have the top one. I'm going to do on the top one. I'm going to go off effect, I'm going to do is keep hollow. Okay. Now as we have one hollow, we can also see which
one is on the top, which hollow one is at the top. Now as this one is on the top, what I want is that when I
apply in a smoke from here, I want the smoke to be visible. I'm going to do is
go off elements. I'm going to do search
for smoke hit on Enter. I'm going to do, let's say I want blue smoke hit on Enter. Now I want a video, so I'm going to click on All. Let's see which, however it
works or how this one works. We can also use this one, which is also good. We can also use this. It's going to be up to you how you're
going to work with it. Let's just use any of
the one which you have. Let's say I'm going
to use this, okay? I'm going to click
on this, Apply it, I'm going to do is click
on this edit Video. I'm going to do is use
the background remover. I'm going to wait
a bit until all of the background has
been removed and I can see the background
has been removed. I'm going to increase the
size of this video or this specific part
can see over here. I'm going to click
on Green, Blue. I keep it just the way it is. I'm going to click on Position. Take it at the top. Now when I play it, you can see that the green and blue is now becoming
something like this. Okay? You can see how good it actually
looks when we applied that it was black when
it was like this. Right? We can also
apply in other ones. I'm going to go off to arrange or let's go off
the elements first, I'm going to search
for blue smoke. Hit on Enter. Go off the video. See I'm going to select on this, just click on Edit Video. I'm going to remove Background. Wait a bit until
this appears up. Increase the size.
Increase the size. I'm going to do is click
on, let's say, Position. What I'm going to do
is click on Layers. I'm going to take
it at the middle. Can see, there we
go. If I play it, you'll basically see that the smoke is now
working like this. This is just an
effect which you can apply while you're
editing your video. But as we're done with this now, how do you cut your videos? Just take your
cursor at the corner of this video and you
will be able to cut your videos from whichever part you want or wherever part
you want to seek it from. Okay, there we go.
Now if you want to apply another page which you
want to apply in the video, you can also apply that. What I'm going to do is take this whole thing I'm going to
do is take this control C, control V. There we
go. Green, blue. But in this part I
want purple smoke. I'm going to do is click on, maybe take this, another one I'm going to
do is take this over here. Do go off to this control C, control V I'm going to do
is take it to page two. Do take it at the bottom. In this one, just like I said, I want a purple smoke. I'm going to click on Upload. Or maybe go off the Elements. I'm going to do Search
for purple smoke. Don't enter. There we
go. We have the videos. We can also use this if
you want to click on Edit. We're going to remove
the background. We're going to wait a bit
until the background has been removed, increase the size. Then we're going to do
is take on position. There we go. Play it up. See this is how the
green blue works. And we can play both of
them together by playing it as it ends. It will start on the next one. But the transition is not
going to be spoothed. We're going to do is apply in a transition in between them. I'm going to do is click
on this add transition. You can select on this color
wipe or maybe line wipe. Okay, there we go, Do
plate from over here, you can see there will
be a line. There we go. This is basically how
you edit your videos. And you can also apply in sound. If you want to volume
of all videos on page, you can apply in audio. Then you also have
the zoom page option. And then you also have
other playback option, Repeat automatical. Then you can also animate whichever one you want,
it's going to be up to you. You can also lock up your
panel and upload in videos, photos, or let's say
you can also apply in apps on this one
such as this translate. Then we have photos,
we have audios. You can apply logos
and backgrounds. It's going to be up to you,
obviously, as it is a video. You can also apply in your
own audio from over here. Also, if you have it on your device, you
can also upload it, hope you understood everything
about this lesson on how you'll be able to edit
your videos in Canva. This is the end of this course. Now we're going to be doing some class projects
which you're going to follow so that you can practice
on with the whole thing. Let's move on to our class
projects of Canva. Essential
17. Class Project 2 - Mock up Photo: Welcome to another class
project of Canva Essential, which is going to be
class project two. Let's open up our word file and see what the name of
our class project is. The name of our class
project is how to mock up photos in our description by learning or by
mocking up photos. You can mock any elements
on another object. It could be a T shirt bottle, mobile train monitor, et cetera. Step one, we're going
to use Open up Canva. In step two, we're going
to open up presentation. In step three, we're
going to upload the photo called
man resource file. In step four, we're going to remove the background
from the photo. In step five, we're going to
customize it and mock it up on a monitor from the
mock up section in Canva, the outcome is learning
how to mock up, allows you to display various graphical elements and presentation on another object. Let's move on to that Canva and start doing
our class project. We are with step one, we've opened up Canva. I'm going to do next, open up a presentation as we've
opened up a presentation. Then I'm going to
do Upload a file. I'm going to click
on Upload Files. I'm going to do is find
out our resource file. You can see from over here. And you can see this is the file called man or the
photo called man. I'm going to press on open now. As this is being uploaded, I'm
going to wait for a while. And as that photo
has been upploaded, I'm going to do is
take that photo and remove the background from it so you can see
that has been done. Click on it. I'm going to
do increase the size a bit. That I'm going to do is
click on Edit Image I'm going to do is find out
Background Remover. You will see that
it will work for a while and it will also process the photo and remove the
background according to my need. One thing you will basically notice is that the photos take a bit longer time of removing a background
instead of videos. It will be done in
a couple of times. From my screen, you can see that the background
has been removed. I'm going to take this photo and customize it
according to my need. I'm going to keep it
just the way it is. Press on Apply, there go. And I'm going to do is click
on a couple of elements. It's totally optional. I'm going to keep
on maybe gradient. Hit Enter. I'm going to do is maybe a couple of shapes of
gradient, if there are any. I'm going to press on graphics if there are a couple of them. Let's see which one we can use. Let's, I'm going to use this. There go looks
quite good and the background to look
like as we have it. I'm going to select
on both of them. Control G, Okay, I'm going to press control
Z for a while. I'm going to just click on this. I'm going to just
click on position. Click on later. I'm going to
just take it at the bottom. I'm select on it. I don't want the background. Just like I said, I'm going to remove the background again. Remover to wait for a while until the background
has been removed. And there we go. We have
it. I'm press on Control. If it works, it's work or
if it's not going to work, I'm going to press
on control Z again, until it appears up. I'm going to press
on this again, as it is not working. I'm going to just keep
it just the way it is. And obviously it won't take a bit more time
when I'm removing the background for the next
time because it has already scanned the area where
it needs to be removed. As this is done, I'm
going to do is click on this whole thing I'm going
to do is go off apps. Here in Apps, you'll find
out a couple of mock ups. I'm going to click on mock ups. I'm going to wait for a while
until we find our monitor, or you can also use TV screen. Whichever one you prefer I'm
going to do is use computer. Now I'm going to
o, let's say I'm going to do is use
it on this one. On this one you'll basically see that you
can insert your image. That photo will appear
inside of this panel. We're going to wait a
bit until it appears up and we can also
apply it over there. Okay, wait a bit. Now you can see that I have
applied my photo over there. I can also remove the photo. You can see right click on it and remove that
specific photo. I'm going to press
on control Z again, to keep it however it
was, press on control Z. Keep it just the way it is now. We can also try it
on a mobile phone. I'm going to click
on this over here. I'm going to do,
take this one inside of this and crysticize. There we go. There we go. We have our photo inside
of this mobile phone. It's going to be up to you how you're going to customize it. And after you're done,
make sure to take a screenshot and then upload
it on our project panel. Hope you learned everything in this course from the
beginning to the end. And if you have any questions and if you face any problems, feel free to ask
me any question. Or if you want any suggestions, you can also ask me
and we can see you. And I hope to see you
in my next course.
