Hi, everyone! In this class, I will show you how to make Oyakodon and a vegetarian version, Tofu Don.

Have you had some oyakodon at a restaurant and wished you could eat it more often? Well, good news. It's very easy to make at home!

Oyakodon Ingredients

  • 100 g chicken
  • A quarter of an onion
  • One egg
  • One bowl of cooked rice

Soup

  • 100 ml water
  • 2 TS Soy sauce
  • 1 TS Sugar
  • ½ tea spoon Dashi powder
  • Dried Kombu seaweed (optional)

Tofu Don Ingredients

  • 100 g Tofu
  • A quarter of an onion
  • One egg
  • Green vege (optional)
  • One bowl of cooked rice

Soup

  • 100 ml water
  • 2 TS Soy sauce
  • 1 TS Sake (cooking wine) *optional
  • 1 TS Sugar

*Sake give a bit of saltier flavour. I don't use sake for oyakodon, as I personally like the sweeter flavour with chicken. Try both and see which you like it!

1. Introduction: Hi everyone. Welcome to my class. Filename is a dummy. I my Japanese like in Canada. In this class I'm going to teach you how to make Boyar codon and tofu down. If you like Japanese food, I'm sure you've tried. Oh yeah. And a Japanese restaurant. And he's actually very easy to make at home. For those who are vegetarian. I'm also showing you how to make tofu done replacing chicken fits tofu. So let's get started. 2. Making Oyakodon: To make oil codon, you won't eat 100 grams of chicken.
