About This Class
Hi, everyone! In this class, I will show you how to make Oyakodon and a vegetarian version, Tofu Don.
Have you had some oyakodon at a restaurant and wished you could eat it more often? Well, good news. It's very easy to make at home!
Oyakodon Ingredients
- 100 g chicken
- A quarter of an onion
- One egg
- One bowl of cooked rice
Soup
- 100 ml water
- 2 TS Soy sauce
- 1 TS Sugar
- ½ tea spoon Dashi powder
- Dried Kombu seaweed (optional)
Tofu Don Ingredients
- 100 g Tofu
- A quarter of an onion
- One egg
- Green vege (optional)
- One bowl of cooked rice
Soup
- 100 ml water
- 2 TS Soy sauce
- 1 TS Sake (cooking wine) *optional
- 1 TS Sugar
*Sake give a bit of saltier flavour. I don't use sake for oyakodon, as I personally like the sweeter flavour with chicken. Try both and see which you like it!
