1. Intro: Hello, everyone. My name is Darrin's. On this place, you will learn how to make digital college art. You will learn where you can find some free resources to get some cool elements and where to find inspiration. To get started with digital, call a job. By the end of this place, you will be able to create this reticent digital collage are you will learn how the layers work the color adjustments, brilliance and use some shortcuts that will improve your work. You will need only photo shop and your imagination on this course, so make sure to enroll and see the that's 2. Find Inspiration: Hey guys. So before we get started on working on for the shop to create the color guard, I'd like to show you some sources to find some inspiration to create your own artwork. Also, I will show you where you can find some Resource is for the digital cola chart. Eso basically for inspiration. I usually go on Pinterest. You just search for digital color jarred than, uh, you'll find all these results and you can, like, started them and see what they used. So you can get an idea about your own artwork. So basically, as you can see, there are like a lot off flowers, landscapes, moon clouds and basically they're just pictures that are elements that are put together in a creative way or just way that looks good to you. It doesn't have toe make sense. Really? Say it. Just search on Pinterest or instagram to on. You will find a lot off inspiration that can help you to get started with your, uh, own work. So after you find some inspiration, you need toe, get some resource is and I will show you how you can do that 3. Resources: Okay, so now I will show you how you can get your resource is for your art pork. So the first option would be to search on Google images. For example, if you need landscapes for your college, are you just type landscapes? Or, if you need, like, retro images, uh, type retro magazines on, you can get some retro models that you can use for your artworks. Also, another idea would be toe go on on splayed dot com. It is a really good source toe. Find pictures that are really usable because on Google images, you need to see the copyright rules while in a splash that come, you have ALS, the images for free. You can use them for pre, so just type like moon, Let's say, because they use moon a lot on the college are also these clouds. Images or stare ignites. Also, you have back cells dot com. It's, uh, really similar toe once flash dot com. So if there is the same idea, you just get the images and cut them on. Uh, use them for your artworks. But the best option, in my opinion, needs to find PNG images because you save a lot off time. You don't need to cut the pictures. I have found some on deviant art dot com. So on deviant Ireton categories, you need to go to resources and stock images and search, for example, for mountains PNG's and you will get thes results that, as you can see there, a PNG end you don't need toe cut took out the images. For example, This is the fact that I have downloaded it is by little demo owners, so basically you have the the rules. If you want to use them like just give credits to the creator if you want to use them. I've seen that this account has a lot off great resources for color chart, so you can see and download them if you want to use it for the artworks, for example, these flowers just pick on download, and if you use them, just give credits to the creator. So that's it, for the resource is where you can find them. The first option would be Google images that you need to be aware of the copyright rules. The second option would be once pledged that come our taxes that come, but you need to cut the pictures yourself on. The third option would be deviant art. You you can find a lot off free resources. PNG, me. Just stand. You just need to give credits to the creator. Also, there are others. Other resource is where you can find this PNG images. But just so this is just to give you an idea to get get started. So now we will start working on Father Shop with Cola, Jack. 4. Composition: Hey, welcome back. So now we're in for the shop and I already created something just so we can have our reference while we create the artwork. This is something simple. Toe get started on color guard. I tried to combine it with my color, Vives, because I use a little off like a redesign colors. And so I combined that cooler, jarred style with with my style a little bit. But yeah, you can see I've also used some some butterflies. I will show you where you can get them. So again, just gone. Davian Tartan. I typed Butterfly p and G's on the category of resources and stock images on this is, uh, where I got them from. So you can download them or similar images to this If you want to create something like this, artwork that are created. So now let's create a new document on for the shops of file new Andi, I will create something like we're instagram resolution Resolution 72 color mode. RGB So this is just for web, not for printing so quick. Okay, on, uh, now I will open the some landscape sources, but I gather from the deviant art artist that I showed you before. So this is these are the the source of that I use to create this artwork. So the landscapes. And now we need to copy them one by one. So just select Graham Command Control. See? Go to our artwork. Come on. Control. He we command control Tito to transform it. You can hold shift, give the proportions and you can James the size. So now I will show you how the layers work. Basically, it's like papers. You put the paper over a paper like, for example, Let's get the second image. Command controls C on command control V. So here's Lear to like it is the paper above the first paper Onda Azul going to see the The layer below is invisible if we change that, so just click and drag below. As you can see, they switch sides because this layer wrong is the the paper above. Let's say so. This is just to give you an idea of how the the layers works. And basically, I will get these landscape images and put them or arrange arrange them in this artwork that we're going to create. So just be aware of the layers and how you arrange them. You can use command control, Tito, scale them, hold chief to give the proportions and you can move them around to see what looks. What looks better to you. Then after we do the composition, we are going to work with the colors. Okay, so after we finished arranging the landscape images something we can do so we can orientate on the layer panel, we can click on the above layer holds you click on the below There, right click and choose a color right here, for example yellow. So you can see which layer contains the the landscapes. And also if you Donald it images from months Pleasure Paxil with like no transparent background you can use mental toe took up the picture is the rental on Basically how this work is you Quick on the point they got another point and you can hold great curves on This is how you go until you close the path here. When this round I can appear you click on it and calls the path right Quick makes election quick. Okay, Come on. Control C Command Control V And as you can see it grates and you're there on, uh, this way you created you got the picture in case you didn't have. Ah, transparent background. Okay, so now we will move on with next elements like this. Reticent shapes the flowers and all these other details to see in the next video. 5. Add Colors: Hey, welcome back. So now the next step is to add some colors toe these landscapes and how you can do that is just basically create a new layer above these landscape. For example, this one right here, the 1st 1 on the go to pain pocket toe right here and pick a color. Let's pick something rather particular Ping Onda. Let's apply and change the mode from normal toe overlay. And now we need to apply the color only toe one landscape. So go to layer and create clipping mask. So this way it applies only on the layer below, which in this case is this one On this way you can go by changing the color but for all these landscapes, Or you can copy this layer by holding old key and drag down Onda uh, toe use the clipping mask type old command, control and G, and it applies on the layer below, which in this case, is this mountain right here. And to change the color go command, control you and change the huge. So this way I'm going to change the color of a lot the the other mountains. Also, if you want to change like the brightness and contrast off the landscape. For example, this one you just go on the cycle right here on. Do you have all the adjustment layers like brightness and contrast. And it will appear the clipping mask effect in case it doesn't appear. You go to layer and create clipping mess. So it apply Sunday on the they're below on. Do you have the the levels that you can play around right here. And as you can see, it changes. So only the the colors off this one. This way you can go all the other adjustments. So and now I will show you how you can add the flowers. So see in the next video. 6. Flowers: Okay, so now we'll open some flowery sources that downloaded from Devon car. Uh, I would see and search from some colorful flowers. Case another open the sources. I will copy them one by one. Like I did with mountains on Let's place them on the artwork. And here you need toe work with the idea of the papers. Like I explained, when we work with with the landscapes, for example, as I said, the yellow layer our our landscapes So you need to place the flowers below the yellow, uh, layer. That's, uh, get for example, this one you can check and uncheck toe to see which which layer you are editing. And let's pay the flower. So now you're gonna see if these, uh below this landscape and common control T We'll see if to keep the proportions, and we can resize it and place it right here and make some copies of it by holding gold key and dragging up command control T. And this way, I'll just, uh, repeat, uh, the pattern on these flowers. Now you can grow them all like we did with the landscape. Click on the layer above holds ship click on the layer below. Right? Click. And, uh, you can merge layers toe, Convert it into well there. Or you can just become the cycle right here on the group on, uh, this way you have group these flowers, rightly, to change the color so you can see which layer you are referring toe on. If you want to change the color, you can do it by using this You saturation adjustments on If you change the hue. As you can see, it applies on the layers below. We need to apply it only on this group. So again, layer, great clipping mask. And now it applies only on the group below. So let's increase the separation and changed a huge Just see what looks better to you. And I will do the same thing with all the other flowers. So it's the same process. Uh, get, uh, a flower and copy on the artwork and then make some repetitions of it and change the color balance case Another a little the flowers and place them like behind the mountains. The next step is toe. Add some greater shapes. Justo, create some contrast and also tired like that feeling off a paper cup. Andi. Yeah. Then we will add some. Okay, So after I placed along the flowers behind the mountains now I will add some great and shapes. So see you in the next video. 7. Gradient Shapes: Before we create the shapes, I will show you out. You can create the great young. So you go on this great and tool click on the cycm. Then you have this default, Grady in. And we're going to use that picture as a reference to create. Argh! Radiant! You can screenshot this if you want to greet the same Grady in. So we go on this thread, caller quick on the red color and I will pick a color from here week. Okay, Andi, I will do the same with the rest of colors. Now, to save this, you just click new and it appears right here so you can use it. Always case. And now let's go back to our artwork. And let's create the shapes. The same logic again. For example, let's take this thesis one. That's great. The new layer that, uh, the violet color are the flowers. The yellow color are the mountains, so these shapes will be between the mountains and the flowers. So, basically, between the yellow on the violet color. So in this case, here are the flowers. There is the mountain, and the here is the layer that we're going toe great the state to create the safe. You can use a laser tool so you can just hold and create a random See that on and let's close the path on. Let's use the radiant, as you can see here is degraded That that we greet you can old chief, to create a straight line on this way you apply the great game. Okay, now let's de select. You can use the arrow key, so change the position. You can, uh, copy these by using old key and dragging down. And now on this copy that we made quick common control, you and degrees. The lightness look okay on basically no, there is another layer between this reader send that is black. We can use the arrow key to to make a copy of you. And let's re scale it. So these black color is just what some detail, I think, and with the same logic, let's say we're going toe at these. These shapes on all the other parts off the off the college are okay. So after we added the's great in shapes were going toe at the radiant background that some butterflies and some typography to it. So see, in the next video 8. Typography Butterflies: Okay, so now we can group these elements. Also, it's easier for us to orientate. We can, uh, group this above Ah, layers. I'm grouping these layers that represent landscape right here. So click on the above their quick on the below layer by holding shift And then quick on this group icon Here's you the group onda. Also, let's do the same thing with these other elements. Okay, Maybe I can place this below to create some space. You know, we're going to apply grade in the background, like done on this, uh, example right here. So go ingredient toe hold chief to create a straight line. No, I cannot. Some typography to its or create a new earlier and go toe uh, toe type two and amusing Tora farm. Just type whatever you have in mind like I'm coming color chart on you can click on the cycle right here to get the text to change the tax. For example, the color let's make it wide. Here is the size of the text. Here is the space between the letters Make it zero on. Duh. I'm just hoping this command control see on command control he just makes um, repetitions. No, I'm selecting these Roll on, uh, pasted. I just feel this whole space with typography. If you want to change the space between rows, here is the the way And do it Just, uh, play around with a set of right here. No, I'm just to position this. Okay, Now, let's great circle like a Didn't this example? So quit a new layer and go on this elliptical market tool hold shift to create a regular circle that the Goa ingredient tool I'm holding safe toe. Create a 45 degree radiant. Okay, now, let's, uh this allows command control T toe to resize it. Okay, Now I'm using command control. You on Increase the lightness increase the separation. Just toe. Great. Some from trust. You can play around with a few. Okay. Now I will open the but applies on and plays them in different parts of the Nicola charge. Yes. After we placed all the butterflies on the artwork, now we can make some final adjustments to it. 9. Finalize: Okay, So before we get started on the adjustment layers piece of you and have enjoyed this tutorial till now, I would appreciate a good review. And also, I would like to go to see your project so I can give feedback to it. So you're now let's work with the final adjustments. Basically, we're going to use this adjustments right here, for example, brightness and contrast. You can play around with these. Let's see you separation there. Only the hue. Ah, here is always, like, a difficult choice, but yeah, I'm not changing it very much from the original one. Yeah, OK, now let's make some color balance adjustments. Let's make like more blue. Let's see. Yeah. Okay, so yeah, that's it for this tutorial. I hope it was helpful to you. I tried to keep this short and not to repeat myself a long time. That's why I speed up on some parts. But of course, if there is something you didn't understand, just send me a message D m on instagram. Or just, uh, leave a comment on that will explain you whatever you you didn't understand. So yeah. Thank you for watching and see on the next glasses. By
