1. Welcome: Hey, welcome to the
notes in class. This is part two. In this one we'll be creating
a budgeting template from scratch and a general
template from scratch. I'm excited and I hope
to see you in the class.
2. Calendar & Time line Schedule: Hey, welcome back. In this
lecture we're going to start creating a calendar slash timeline scheduling
page we can plan and black from the
fares to the fifth or the ten of the month, we're doing a certain thing. So what I'm gonna do now, I'm gonna go ahead and
create a blank page, add a new page, and we're gonna say
content schedule. Let's change the wiki page. You just click on it. Weekly time t will
say timetable. We'll go back to
conduct schedule. We're going to use the
Carlin a template. So we can go to
database right here and select Calendar,
creating new database. Right here. We're gonna say
content schedule. I'm going to go ahead and select the night of May and say
on the ninth of May, I'm recording notion
class, just an example. Class. Notion class. Date. You can enable
the end date. And end date can
be, let's say 13th. Great. As you can see over
here, it's highlighted. And then the following
week dedicated to editing the class,
editing class. Go back, select Date, enable the end date. Again. We're going to be editing
from the 16th to the 27th. It takes a lot of hours
to edit together. Again, enabler reminder. On day of event, let's say at nine AM, that's perfect for me. And enabled tablets
include time also, say, start working at ten AM. Let's change from the 16th also. And say ten AM. Great stuff. Boom, right there. Let's go back to the
notion class also. Include time there. You just enabled this one. My work day typical
extends around to1. Let's enable the reminder. Let's say 15 minutes before. Great stuff. Now content is scheduled, we can see it on our
notion calendar. Let's go to the top. Follow my cursor, and let's select the three
dots. Click on it. Here we can change the layout
and switch it to time line. Now, let's move closer
to those dates. Left arrow, right arrow, as you can see on
the timeline view. Let's yeah, notion. And you can just extend the time if you went to extend the date, start earlier, just
extended backwards, the notion class
starts on the first. If you want to see these cards, you can just go to the month
right before it leaves a show table enabled
select Show Table. Now you can see your cuts
editing class, notion class. Let's just drag it to the top. Great stuff notion
class editing class. Without going back to
the calendar view, you can add another cardia, which is another task, should promo video, Enter. As you can see, it's not
scheduled yet to schedule it. We can just add it like this. Just click on the timeline scale you learned and just move it to the desired date
after editing class, let's say we're
shooting the promo best drawn maybe until the fifth. Click on it, until the
fifth, as you can see, it's already said
you don't need to enable the end date and time. That's the beauty of
the timeline view. Let's include the time
also and set reminders to set the reminder 15
minutes before task time. Now you can see the timeline. Let's click the three
arrows again for our menu. Changed the layout
back to Calendar. Small claim, everything. No, back on the timeline view. I like the timeline view is
more visually appealing. Remember, I'm using this
as a condensed schedule. You can use it for
other things in your personal life and
that's it for this lecture.
3. Budget: Hey, welcome back. In this lecture we're
going to be creating one of my favorite
tools and notion, which is a budget t. It's super cool way of managing, adding things to your budget. Let's click Add Page, title it. Monthly budget, let's say operate to operating
expense budget. Go and hit plus the list, select the Table View. And let's create
a new data base. Monthly budget. Monthly budget for the studio. As you can see here, you already have something
to work with. As you can see, this
one is written name, this one is written tags, but you can add a mole. So what I'm gonna do now, I'm going to delete this one. Delete this wide because I want to show you how to
do it yourself. Let's leave the name one. Let's rename it
and say expenses. Great. Internet, internet and
kept the new column. The new column is going to be for the numbers
like the money. As you can see here,
you can select, multi-select drop-down, date, all that good stuff, okay, select number, property,
grandma type of property. So my Internet, I'm
gonna say it's 25. As you can see,
it's just a number. But I'm gonna show you how
we can turn that to money. Let's rename property and
we're going to say amount. Let's add another
one type of it. We're gonna leave it as text. This one is just gonna
be, let's click on it. Rename. Going to be comment. Great stuff intended uncapped. What else do we
need in the studio? We're going to say
SEO tools, maybe. Subscription, policy, $50. Great. What else do we
need in the studio? Let's say rent, say render $700. Great stuff as you can
see under expense list, we have calculate guy
will not need that, so just ignore that. And the amount who also have calculated, what
are we going to do? We're going to change this,
calculate under this column, change it to sum so that it
calculates everything here, 25 plus 15 plus seven hundred, seven hundred and forty. But you can see these
are numbers still. It's not money. So
what I'm gonna do now, I'm going to attend
these numbers from just being numbers to money. When you hover over the block, it shows a One-two-three. You can just hover over 25. Click on the 12 tree, and here you can change
it to yen, euro, Canadian doula, us pound. And I changed it to US
dollar, as you can see, now, this column
is in US dollars. I don't have to
do the same thing on this block and this block I just changed the first
one. Everything else? It's in dollars and that is
your budget to care for. The icon is change
the icon to money, money icon, great
banknote, great stuff. And that is how you create
a budget in a nosy.
4. Journal: Welcome back. In this lecture we're going
to set up our general page. So let's go ahead and
create a blank page. And we're gonna make
this one a journal. A journal is, add an icon. Let's see if there
is a gentle emoji. Note. Notebook. Nice. Now
we have our journal page. So what I'm going to do now, I'm going to add a list block. What Ellis blog does, it allows us to create
multiple pages in line. So I'm gonna go to the database right
here as you can see, and add at least a block. Let's create a new database
is I don't want to import any information from the previously
created templates. I'm gonna say new database. Great stuff. As you can see over year, we have some sort
of cards in a way, this is the full page template. That's why it just
replaced the general Pedro create it what I'm gonna do
now I'm going to say journal. Add an icon like we did't. Boom, I like that one. I guess so as you can see, we have multiple pages stepped, these one after another one. Let's delete this
and create our own. So the first thing
we're going to do is to create a template, Let's say for a
personal journal, for example, we're going
to create a template. Let's click empty card. You can just click to
create a new card. Please enter to continue with the MDP to create a template, we're going to click
create a template. We're gonna say daily
journal, for example, one grateful for selected, turn it into a small heading. Great. We're gonna say number two, let's say thoughts, items. So we have one grateful
to thoughts three, x-ray and now that we
have the template in, you can just go back until this one also and
create a new one. Yeah, I'm just gonna say
getting better with money. Here you can see there is
appropriately written texts. You can select Empty and
start creating texts. I like to have daily entry as a tag and intellect
to have lessons, things that can go back
and reflect on it. And over here you can see
it shows lessons, right? Then we can go over here. You can select empty
page if you just want to rent them,
right? A lot of stuff. Or you can just start with your template and click
the daily journal. It's already in your
system with void. Now you have something
to start with. Create another entry. We can just click on the
new and new thoughts. And then you can select
tag, daily a entry. And what I like about it. It also records the
time and the date. And that's how your
general notion, that's it for this
lecture, guys.
5. Collaborate, Guests: Hey, welcome back. In this lecture, I want to
show you something real quick, which is how to
add other guests. So for example, let's say
I have a team to develop the content in a one-term to
see what I'm writing down. So what I can do, I can go
to the content schedule, maybe let's just use
the Conan scale. You can show basically any page. So what I'm gonna do
now I'm going to select share input one of my emails, let say the L4, if they are Notion, you can see it shows sobbing or September which has
made Notion account. You can click on that account if they
don't have, it's fine. You can still send
this page to them. They can view it
without having notion. They can edit the content, they can come in, they can view, you decide which permission you
want to give them. Like I said, you can also
give them full access, but it's for their personal
Pro version of Notion. And then you just select
Invite and they will get a notification and
they will be able to see the content
schedule page. Don't be able to see everything
when you notion and they will only see what
you share with them, okay, to remove them, you can just go back
here and say Remove. That's it for this
lecture, guys. Thank you.
6. Thank You: Hey, we're done. I hope you had fun and GOT tons of failure
from the class. Remember to shoot me
a message if this is something you would like
me to add to the class, that's it for me. I'm out.
