1. Introduction And Overview!: Hello and welcome. My name is pretty cicada. And today I'm going to teach you how to draw legs, as always in the very simple process and in different views. As you know, if you want to draw your character in a full view, so the whole character legs are essential, their legs are half off the body, and they can also be very fun to draw in different poses. So we're going to do that. But before we start, let's see what you need for this list and what will be doing in more detail now for this class, all you need is a ban seal and the piece of paper and some fans. If you reach to or if you prefer to do this digitally, you can use a trying psalter of choice, like photo shop warmonger stood you along with the drawing tablets. First off, I'm just going to give you some resource is so you can use for your own practices. After that, we're going to talk a bit about male and few my legs, examples and their differences. Then it's time for the drawing part. We learn how to draw the legs into positions extended and flexing. We'll be trying masculine and feminine legs accordingly, and we'll be doing all of the's with photo references, and you can practice with me as you watch the videos at the end. You'll also have an assignment so you can put everything to practice right away. As always, feel free to share your work with us in the project section. All right, I already. Then let's speak in.
2. Resources And References For Legs: Hello and welcome. Not before we start as always, which is going over some resource is that you can use for a run practices off legs. I don't have anything specific just for legs. But looking for general poses and focusing on the legs will be good enough even for some quick studies. Some just drawing. Just focus on the legs off the poses and draw them and have Here are boards, so you can check this out. A hefty spores made for you so you can come up over here for some references are female and that to me. So as you can see here, there are some great images that show legs and in different positions so you can ignore the rest off the post. If you only wish to study legs and draw only the legs, there are different positions that are some that haves great shadows that you can practice as well. Then we have also some male anatomy references Again, there are some good images off legs over here in different positions and very interesting positions again, with a lot of shadows. If you wish to so you can use them, you can use these for your own studies, to practice at home, in your sketchbook or on your computer. And, of course, then if you wish to do something more like Chester drawing, you can go to the usual websites like mine, a faction that I've showed you before again. There's nothing just for legs, which you can look at the pose, especially if you used new models. For example, you will obviously see the legs very well if you have covered models. Some off the photos will probably be hard to see the legs properly. But you can choose whatever he wants and do just some just drawing off the legs and ignore the rest off the post again. So this is it. I hope you have fun with your practices, and next we're going to talk a bit about the waist, so I'll see you next.
3. Drawing The Waist: All right. Welcome back. Now, for this video, this is going to be very short. I just want to talk very quickly about the waste and the general shape that you want to use and how it will connect to the legs. So I have here this picture and for the waste. There's kind of two ways to go about it. You can go with very straight lines. So this picture with the high waist short is actually very useful because you can see where the waste will begin. And so usually we have this ship. You can very clearly see where the waste is and where the legs begin. So usually this is a general shape that we go it. But you can also go with something more with some more curves. And it can be easier for you maybe to understand where the legs will connect. So for example, I can still have here this lines. But then here we have some curved lines and you can see here This is where the legs will connect with our waste. So it's all up to you. What you prefer are what is easier for you to understand where everything is and how it connects to each other. I usually go with the other version, this one again. You can see again here where they connect you can use this image is you can choosing an image that you saw and do this exercise you peaking image even if it's a photograph or something you saw in the magazine and just draw someone's on on top of its toe to see the shapes to see where everything connects in, how it should be position. So this is basically it's to shape, for the waste is very simple. There isn't much to it now. Yes, it can be sometimes would be difficult to connect the legs to the waist, but again, it's all a matter of practice. So if you want, you can just practice thes shapes a few times on your sketchbook. Or just get a few reference images in. Draw the shapes on top off them and see how different poses will behave as well. And practice this part. Distribute and then you know this automatically whenever you want to draw, Oppose doing some. Just drawing can help with this as well, for if you use one of those websites that I talked before. You can do something just drawing, and this way you won't be focusing on the details. So you'll be doing just the main shapes. And it will be easier for you to figure this out. This positioning and the shapes to use. No, this is it. And next we're going to see the differences between my legs and few my legs and a few details that you can do toe, differentiate them. So hopefully I will see you soon.
4. Male And Female Leg Differences: Hello and welcome back. Now, I promise you, we'll start drawing very soon. But before that, let's just talk very quickly about female and mild differences when drawing legs. Generally speaking, the shapes will be very similar, but there's going to be some differences. Still, one off them is when you look at these two pictures is that man's legs tend to be a seeker . We tend to go to draw them seeker and for women did tend to be thinner. This is basically the same as with arms, for example, and a lot off other features in in the human body off course that you can create characters that will not follow these rules. You can create a very muscular woman, for example, and she will have very sick legs with a lot of Moscow's over there. And the same goes for men. You can draw off a male character that will be very thin so his legs want helps that many shapes are that many muscles. They'll be Tina as well, so it's all up to how you want to create your character. But here we're going to do the basic shape so we'll follow a more default way off drying the legs. Let's say this way, and from then on you can do whatever style or shape he wants now. Obviously, these examples here are very style, especially for poison ivy. Here, you see that this disc herbs are very saturated. This is a style that I really enjoy. When the legs have these differences and this contrast off the curves, we have a lot off curves and counter occurs. It's something I really like, but there's also other ways to go about it. Let's just see here a few examples, or let's see our shapes and lines here, and we take the chance here to talk a bit off the waist again. So for the waste here, as you can see, it's very a very simple shape, almost just a triangle shape. And then, from there you can do this lines to know the direction the legs are taking. So this is one way to go about it. And if you prefer to go with shapes, that's doable ous well, going to keep this one here so you can see the waste. There you go. So as you can see, the shapes here are very round so there's lots, of course here. Then we have circles for the knees. This is how I usually go about with my shapes. Again. It's totally okay for you to get some images and trace the shapes on top off them so you can nail down these shapes and you control any legs you want in your general drawings and sketches. So there's two ways to go about it so you can make both off them. You can first go for the lines and see the directions off the legs. Maybe this is a better way to go about it, because you can understand better where the leg is going in and how it is turning. And then you can do the shapes, and the same goes for men as well. So to the biggest difference that you'll see here is for a simple The waste has more straight lines and this ticker. So we have here this difference here. It's a bit thinner triangle, but here is a big thicker, the waste its height, and again we have our lines to know the direction off the legs. These are very simple. There, mostly straight the yelling differences that one leg is a return to the side and the other is turned. Tow us, and we can see here are shapes. As you can see, they are not that difference then the shapes that we used here for poison ivy, so very round shapes, circles for the knees, and that's it. Now you can notice. Is that for example, here we have a very straight line since the the legs turned to the side. But overall, the shapes are very similar off course that are some riddles that you can add toe men's legs, for example, you can if you destroying the legs without any clothes on it, you can draw some hair. For example, you can make some more definition to the musk als and again, these are just turtles and, you can add is both for women or men. It's all up to you and how you want your character to be. So this is it. And next. Yes, we'll be starting to draw men's legs the basic shape, So let's start it
5. Drawing Male Leg Shapes - Front: All right, So now it's time for our practice and we're going to start with my legs and the basic shapes were going to go true. A turnaround over legs so front few sides and back for you. And as always, you can either draw with me on your sketchbook or on your software of choice. All we can watch the video and practice later till up to you. As always, we're going to go step by step and in a very simple way. So let's do this. So first, I'm going to do some at some transparency here and do my layer, and now we can figure out our shapes. So we're not going to be worrying about feet right now, so don't stress about it yet. Just focus on the legs. Now we're going to find here are shapes. No, The easiest way here is to find the connections year. So, for example, we see here this shape up to the knee and then going hit. So you have here is very round shape, and you can see here. Or you could see here that the muscle off the leg enters here. The the upper part off the leg will enter here and connect in a way to tourney. So this is our first shape. Now you can do a circle for the name and then we confined our other shapes. So it comes from here and then it goes inside again. So we have some close here and the same goes for this side. We come here, there's a bit off a curve over here, and then it goes inside again. As you can see, none off this curves are to accentuated. They are very simple. Of course, if you have a very muscular leg, um, some off this shapes will be very exaggerated. So probably here we could see a lot off the muscle going out because it's very defined over there. Same thing here. You would see a lot of wines and and shapes over here, but this leg is very normal. So our shapes are also very regular. So now we can put this to the side so you can already see more or less the ship off the leg . Here. It's very simple and very easy to see where everything is. So now we can do our sketch. I'm going to choose the darker caller again, my pencil. And remember to look at your emergency where there are some curves or what Marx Off course . You can go for a more stylized way so you can ignore maybe some of the cursed. So here you can make a straight line here, a bit off a curve and then going here, curve inside here, still a straight line, and they beat here, and you'll have a very simply, or if you, before you can't to look at your image and see where you have some curves where you can add some curves. It's all up to you in your own style. You can keep it very simple, or you can tried to add some more details. So, for example, I said, there are some very slight curves, but they're still there. So let's try to do that and 1/2 you don't need so that you can see here the knee. Let me just, uh, get the leg again with full opacity so as you can see here than your goes here inside. And then there's a bit here so we can do that as well Again. This is all up to you in your style. Usually I try to keep things very simple. I don't usually go with lots of details. Special legs. Um, I tend to go with the very geometric style, but here, I'm going to try to give you some details so you can practice that as well. So here it goes, in silence. You can see and we go. And then we have the rest of our, like, connecting here slight curve, and it goes inside again. So there we go. We have here our leg, our sketch. And now all we have to do is to ads are final lines. So let's do that very quickly. This part is the easiest one, and I recommend you toe do this part even though you're you're just sketching things out. You can sketch a few just for warming up, but then practice your final lines this well, because it's a good way to practice your lines and to improve your mind quality. So let's see here and and draw lines. Dis part is mostly trying on top of your older lines and adding your final details or changing some things that you feel need to be changed. Try to relax The trick here is always toe. Keep yourself relax and your wrists and hands because if you're not that will show in your lines. Your lines will show up more tense than you want them to be. Also, don't be afraid to repeat your lines, especially if you're doing this on the computer. You have controls he at your service so you can repeat your lines as much as you wish. So there we go. I think this is it we have here our leg and now all young missing is adding some color. So it's going to be very simply, and we can take the chance A swell since you're trying in males leg two ads to add some hair, for example. So now, for the coloring, which is a skin tone or not, can go overboard with it. If you wish to can drawn alien and choose some blue who are the skin tone. And now we adhere our color. I'm going to use the paint bucket to make it a bit faster. There we go. Now, another thing that you can do if you're doing this tissue. Tilly. Um, if you don't like to use black lines you can also changed it and choose, for example, maybe a darker tone for the lines. So something like this, for example, and you can use this collar for the hair. So first of all, I'm just going toe, adhere some and they raise here bits, Okay, And now, if you want, you can take here the collar from our lines, and we can draw some hair from there. Now you can go overboard with tits and really feel the leg with hairs. Or you can just to some bits, for example, like this. It's all up to you. Or, if you wish, you can just really feel delay. If you're using your computer and you have a brush that looks like this even better, you can just make a pattern and draw the hair. But this is much leads. For example, you can if you're going really overboard with your hair. A detail that you can do is, for example, this parts here sometimes has less hair because off the friction off the over clothes off the fence, for example, so you can make some spots missing. Some hair cell up to you again. Let's see how this looks if it wasn't black. There we go so you can play with this idea off the color. You can change the color of your lines toe. Make it less so. It's not a strong let's say it. So if I change my colors here for the lines and the hair, it looks a bit more suave and the English would. It looks a little lighter and not a strong tower. I so you can play with this idea and now off course, we can add some shadows very quickly. Come up over here. Choose a bit off a darker tone again. If you're using an image reference, you can look at it and see where the main shadows will be. An at it to your trying. We're keeping this very simple. So there we go. We have here most of our shutters. So this is it for a front view. And next we're going to throw like in the side view
6. Drawing The Male Leg From The Side: All right, So now we're going to draw a leg in the side view and over all the shapes will be very similar, just with a few differences. But there won't be a lot. So let's find our shapes here then. So here the first shape is very similar to what we had before. So we have this ground shape here again. As you can see, it goes inside. So a circle basically a very a very irregular circle. And then we have here again our knee. So this time the knees, not at the center, but it's still a circle and a bit to one of the sites. Of course, it depends to which side the legs turn. So in this case, our circle is here to the left, and then we have our other shape. Now, hero shape won't be as around this before. So, for example, as you can see here we have here a very straight line. And then here we do have So these are our shapes going to but this to the size. And now we can draw our sketch. So we have here this shape Hillary this line and it goes. Then we have a counter curse to the other side. We go down and then another curve and it goes inside again. So one side has lots. Of course. It's very unrelated here and then for the other side. It's the opposites. We have a lot off. We have a lot off straight lines. So we have here on E. And then it goes down, knee goes out and then we go down straight line, almost bit off curve, but not a lot. And there we go. Now, off course, you can adhere some details to your knee, something like this. And we have our side of youth off the legs. Drawing legs on the side of you is probably my favorite ones. I don't really know why, but I really like the shapes and these differences or contrast that you have in them. So I think it's really fun. Feel free to tell me which position do you find the most difficult are which one do you like the best to draw? I'm always curious because everyone is different and everyone likes to draw the from things . So feel free to share that with me. So now we do our final lines. Good to maybe pick up here. The colors that we did before or if it before we can go with the black. Maybe for now, we use the black so you can see better the line. So going down, bit of a curve here and then out again. And then, Doc, you know, you go. And now here, almost a straight line, just a slight occur. And then we have warned me, and then we go down, and now we can add a bit off and detail here for Arnie again. You can keep this details as simple as you like. It's up to you. So this is it. Very simple. And now we can add our colors going to make this one's invisible, and I'm going to pick. I won't go lose here again. I'm going to use the paint bucket. But if you do prefer to take your time with the coloring eso you can practice. It's whoops so you can practice it and get usedto the materials that you're using. Feel free to do so. It is very important to practice your tools and get used to them, and now we can add some hair again Let's try this time to just add a few. Go for a more simple style. Something like this, for example. And now, when you're done with your hair, you can add the shuns again. You can keep it very simple. You can follow the shadows that you have on your image, so we see that there's a lot of sugar going over there and then something. You can do this if you wish to, so you can find better your shapes. And then when you're done with finding it, you can define it better or refine your shutters. Toby. So I'm just first spending the part where we have the shadow, and then I can add a few details or refine it a bit. Well, of course, if you want to be very detailed, you can add some shadows here behind the hair against all up to your style. And if you want, you can change the color. You can change to call it off young lines so it's all up to you and watch you and how you prefer to to use your lines. Now next, we're going to draw our leg in the back view. So let's do that
7. Drawing Male Legs From The Back: all right, so less view. We're going to draw from the bag side, and overall, it's going to be very similar to the shapes that we have for the front view. The only difference here is that we don't see the knee, so in a way it can make it easier. So you have here our round shape. Our were drowned shape thing here and then from the other side you have and the other one. Don't forget this muscle here. Most of the times you can see it better from the back, says it is on the back of our leg, so usually when you see the leg from the front, it will pop up, especially if it's very defined. We see it better from the back. So this is something that you can take advantage off and exaggerate the line a bit more. So as you can see, the shapes are very simple. This is it. I'm just going toe, tilt it a bit so it looks up. It's a bit straighter and now we can do our sketch so darker tone Pantsil again and we can do our skitch. So goes like this goes a beaten side and then here we have a bit of a curve, as you can see here goes like this can. It's a it's own related. Now it goes inside again. Then there we go, that line for this Muskal here and then inside again, or with a straight line. This is it. And from the sides, it is a bit more simple. So goes here, out and here again. So our curves here are not essential waited, and this is mostly it's now. You can add here some details for the back of your legs. So something like this or thes lines here. I usually go with just something very simple like this, and this is it for our sketch, and we can now do our final lines. So let's do them new layer going to grab my brush here something like this. And now we can do our final lives. So it's very simple. Legs, both legs and arms can be very easy once you learn their shows, because overall the shapes will always be the same. You just changed their their position. All right. One side is done, you know, the other size. There we go now here and again off course. You can add some hair if you wish. There's something you also can. If you you want to go more realistic with your hair on the legs is you can look at the images and see that the direction off the hair. So as you can see it goes something like this. So this is something you can pay attention to and and to accordingly. So, as you can see, it goes almost in all directions here. So again, I'm going to go with the simple style here. So just adding some hairs and now we can call it, as always, think as long as you wish. With this part, it is always important for you to practice and and get used to the painting or that adding the details. If you wish to have more details to it, take more time with this. And, of course, have fun. Don't worry, even if it's it isn't turning out as you wanted. You go there and you get where you want to get with practice. So don't worry. Just keep going and having fun now for the shadows will keep it very simple since we're going with this style in these videos, I'm going to pick up here this mine color that we used and add it here. So here we have our basic shapes for miles, legs, and next we're going over females like, So we're going to see the differences in practice, and we're going to go back toward black lines this time. So I hope you had fun again. Do this, however you prefer. So if you prefer to use black Leinart with adding some color, or if you prefer to use another color for the Leinart, its finest worlds, this is a good time for you to explore your style in how you like to go with it. Also, another thing that you can do if you don't want to use, why not? These works best if you're doing in the computer is you can still if you prefer to draw lines, but you don't want them to be seen. You can do your Leinart and then changed its color to the skin color that you're using. It's up, resemble. If I go over here and choose, it's as you can see, it will be the same color as the rest, so take your time to explore these options and see what you prefer to use. So next we're going back to Black Leinart, and this way you can see what you prefer, so I'll see you next.
8. Draw Female Legs - Front: Hello and welcome back. Now we are done with our basic shapes for men, and now we're going to draw the basic leg shapes for women and we're going to go again with the turnaround of it. So front, few side and then back. Now I have Here are a much this is the same image as we used for the waste that you can noticed. And first thing I want you to see here is and this is the first difference between drawing man's legs and women's is that we have always one side with lots off course, and then the other side is all about straight minds, which I think it's a very fun detail. Now when we're drawing my legs, we the shapes were always very balanced with each other, that there was always curves on one side and the same goes with the other. Sometimes one was a bit more about the curse and the other, but it was still very similar one side of the other. But here we have here a lot off course, and then this side is very straits and this is where we can also, if you like to go with the more Silas style. You can play with these shapes a lot, and the same goes with men off course. So let's start here with our shapes. Now we have here the beginning of a leg and now down here again it goes, insider goes a pit more yes, here ago goes here in sides. Now here the same. We can make our circle lips or circle for many. And then we have Here are other shapes. So we have here could going down and in here it goes quite straight off course. So you can see here there's a line so you can exaggerate this or you can do the otherwise. So you can go from here. It's a straight line and then we close hero shape. So this is it. Overall, the shapes are very similar. As you can notice, this leg is quite thinner than the other. We don't see as much muscle and definition, and our ships are a bit more simply fight knots. As much curves as weeds are other legs. So Skitch going to pick here a darker tone, my vessel brush again and now we can do our sketch again. You can look a bit here, toe our curves and add them obits. They are very they are very slides. So Oh, good. There goes here and we have any. And then this side is the same. So you have here a curve did them. It goes out then another curve on going inside. And there we go. So, like I said, there's a lot off curves and counter curves which I think makes it really fun. There we go, so very simple. And now we can do our final lines at this point. If true, the other legs we went over man's legs. So overall, we already want up, and the shapes are very similar to each other. So you can probably already do this with one eye closed again. Don't forget to keep your lines very loose. Uh, don't go like this trying to do your line. As you can see, to look between it and more tells just toe one line very quickly and smooth if you wish to . You can spend some time doing this for so for practice. And so you get used to your lines a bit more so we have our final lines and now we just need to add some color, same as always. So going to close here, the's shape, and I'm going to use my point buckets. Okay. So women generally have less hair, so we don't draw any. If you wish to, you can draw and add some. If not, you leave it like this. And we just need to at some shadows so that we go. We have lots off shadows here on the knee, but the rest is fairy simple. So this is a front view, and next we're going to draw our leg from a side view, so let's do this.
9. Draw Female Legs From The Side: All right, Welcome back. We are now going to draw a leg in side few. And again, as you can already see, our ships are going to be very similar to before. So let's start with that sick. Let's find our shapes Here. We start here, it goes here, inside, and then here. So you have a first show. Also, don't worry too much about your lines when you're doing both the shapes and the sketch because they're not supposed to be perfect. So don't worry about them. Just find your shapes and organize your drawing when they're doing the final lines. In that moment, Yes. Worry about your lines and their quality, but before that, it's not that important. So we have Here are first shape. Now we have again here, our circle for the knee, and then we're going to find here or other shapes. So curve and going inside. Here we go. And then here it's basically a straight line. So there we go. This is mostly now we're going to put this to the side, and now we're going to draw a sketch. So a new layer, the darker tone again, my pencil brush. Now, this is my process. This is how I go with when learning to draw new thing. But you can have a different way off doing. For example, you can do it just the shapes. And then you do are your final lines right away. But if I'm trying to learn a new thing, I like to first find my shape, Stan going for a sketch and finally doing my fine alliance. Formidably, I will practice my shapes and sketch a few times before going for final versions. So here we go. One side of her legs done enough for the other sides we have here. This shapes right now. You can leave this like this if you're going for a very stylised style. If we go for a very geometric style, for example, if knots we have here occurred, it does not go all the way in. Sorry. And then here. So there we go. Very simple. And now all you're missing is our final lines. Has always so find the lines. I'm going to change my brush smaller. Feel free to experiment with doing this with pencils or pans. Experiment Difference. Uh, different news. Oh, are different pressures, different kinds of pens with different colors. Anderson goes, If you're doing this digitally experimental brushes that you have and see what you like best you never know. You might find something new that you prefer to work with. So going to do here our final lines. Thank you. Cool. Now going and the same here and now we cook out again. Don't for you feel Repeat your lines a lot. As you can see, it happens to me too. It is important to repeat them until you have what you once or like So there we go. Very simple, Very easy again. The shapes overall are very similar to what we did before. And now we just need to add some color. I'm going to grab this one here from before again. I'm going to use my paint buckets and now erase the bits that go outside the lines. And now we can add some shadows again. I'm going to pick up here the same color. So we keep everything similar. Look at your image reference. You can either just choose a point where the light is coming from and then draw your shells are if you're using a reference image you can look at its shadows and go with it. It's all up to you. This is also a good time for you to to practice. Ah, you're your shadows. So again, take your time if needed. So there we go. This is it. Very simple and very easy again. You can see how one starts is more about straight lines and the other as markers. And next we're going to draw are, like in the back view, so see you next.
10. Draw Female Legs From The Back: Hello and welcome back. Now, this is our less drawing for the basic leg shapes. We're going to draw our female leg, but from the back few and next, we're going to draw our legs, but flexed. So we're going to learn how they behave before that. Let's take this one out Off the way again. The shapes here will be very similar toe the ones that we did on the front few. So round shape, going here, vehicle. And again, I noticed that the thing missing here will be our knee. So we don't need to worry about two need this time. And now from here we have Oh, other shapes. So curve here again that Muskal coming out. And here we have more off a straight a line. So this is it. Very simple and even easier than drawing are leg from the front because this time we don't have our needs, so we don't need to worry about it. So now we're going to do our sketch. Even though our shapes are already pretty straightforward, we're still going to go through this stage for the sake of practice. So let's do this going to this here, so you can see better here. Now we do have here a lot off course that you can do as well. If you want to chip, keep yourself graceful todo to the picture. Or, if you prefer to go for a more simple style, you can ignore them. Obits. It's sell up to your own style and how you prefer to for things to look like. I'm going to do them a bit, but they're very, very light. You don't know the step as much as this one, for example, and we are ready to draw finalized. So because conspiracies so I can see better my lines when I'm drawing them, changing my brush, making it a bit smaller. And now we can take your time drying are finalize and, of course, um, look up for different images off different people. You can also take your own photos of your own legs. Ask for some friends or family to take some pictures. You'll notice that everyone will have slightly different shapes and curves. So even these images that we just saw they are from different people from different women, and you see that they have some slightly differences. So it's also a good thing for you to explore. If you want to have very different characters instead of drawing just one type of legs, you can also explore that beaten ticket ventures off those differences. So there we go. We have here our leg, just going to tilt it the bids. So it looks a bit straighter. Oh, I'm missing one thing just here this line a little bit again. These kinds of details are things that you can or not add. I always like to Adam. So it gives something else who are drawing. And it also makes it easier to identify in which position your drawing. So we are done. And now all we need to do is to add some color very quickly. Very easy. A paint bucket here. No, you raised this beats that are outside of the lines and that scholar where it's missing. So there we go very isn't simple. And now again, we can just going to grab here my shadow color. Here we go. And now we can look here that are image and adds some color to it. So here we have a lot of shadows going on again. I'm finding the overall shape of the shadows. And then I can define them. It beats more. Oh, smaller brush at here. Big of shallow. It's more of a curve here and we are done. So here we have, or leg from the backside. Now, next, we're going to draw our legs, but flexed, so I'll see you there.
11. Drawing Male Flexed Legs: Hello and welcome back. Now we are finished with our basic like shapes. And like I mentioned before, we are now going to draw our legs. But in the flex position. So a sitting position. Let's say we have both for men and women and they will have slightly different positions. But again, the ships will be very similar. So let's look for them so crabbing my collar and my pestle brush and let's look for our shape. So we have here again, a round shape, very similar to what we've done so far. Now we have on me here a circle and then we go down. So let's see here it's mostly a straight line and then the curves a bit a tion. When we start getting to our foot again, we're not going to focus on that right now. Just the leg. And now here we have occur for that Muskal, for the back way that we've talked before and down again. So as you can see, it is very similar toe all the other shapes we've done so far, their position is a big difference. So instead of having a straight line going down and our shapes will be positioned in that line. This time we have oak two lines, one almost horizontally for before you can do it. Horizontal loops and one particle. And this shapes will be in those positions. So okay, we have here our shapes, and now we're going to draw a sketch. The knee can go bits out if you wish to. Not down, but great to Okay. Now down in the peat of a curve. Itty end again. Don't worry too much about your lines right now. This is just a sketch. It doesn't need to be perfect. You can add here a line for the me. I'm not the same for the rest of her leg here and now the curve and almost a straight line going down. Still, we go Very simple. We can say so. Drying on my leg We can ads some hair to reads in our skitch. I prefer you can just add it at T end. So look to you. There we go. So you're done Very simple. At this point, you already know the shape. So it is fairly easy to draw your legs flexing. So if you want to draw your character while seated. The shapes are going to be the same. So now we're doing our final lines. As you can see, my sketch is mostly guideline. I can still then make some changes to it. So we are done here with our like now we just need to add some color. And again, we can both, uh, leave our lines like this on, Like all you can change the color of your lines and make it with the color similar with skin color that you choose. So now you can either choose to leave your lines with black like we have here, or like we've done before. You can choose another color for your lines. Something similar toe the color that you're using for the skin tone and go from there. So you have less contrast. Or if you prefer to have more pastel tones in their drawings, for example, we can have both versions if you wish to. But first before that, I'm just going to do some shadows here, like always. And then we are done. So I'm going to Kobe are trying here. So we have both versions are black fine arts and with a similar color. So when to go over here and change your tone. Let's try this one a bit more. Maybe trite. It marked. There we go. So I don't know what you prefer. I like them both. It's always a matter off your own style and how you prefer to have things. And now, one day I might prefer to have just a black Leinart and the other having my my lines with similar colors as the ones that amusing for painting. Explore these different dis options, exported options and discovery around style with them. So we are done, and next we're going to draw are flexing leg, but with a female model, so I'll see you there.
12. Drawing A Flexed Female Leg: Hello and welcome back. This is our less example. We're going to draw or flexing leg, but with a female model. Like I said, the position is slightly different. But again, the shapes are going to be very similar toe all we've done so far. So again we have line line. If you fear having any difficulty on figuring out how any part of the body is behaving, go with lines before the shapes go the lines the same way we do with just drawing. When before we draw the whole post, we find our line off action. And this can go both for when drawing arms legs Ah ah hands draw the lines that make the movements off what you want to draw and then you can draw the shapes. So here we have one line going here and I know another one there. So a v sideways. Now we find our shapes. So again, Iran shape very similar toe watcher Done before I didn t hear a circle and then we have a line going this way almost a straight line. But this side is a curve and then a bit straight. So again, as you can see This is very similar to what we did before. Now for the sketch again, we have hero referenced image still, so we can still use it and look at it to see some details the resemble. Here we have some slight curves going on. So let's draw them, goes here and then like this we have here on me. And now here you have, or muscle and the rest of her life. As you can see, it seems like this part of the muscle is behind this line. So pay attention to that as well, especially when we're going for the final lines, which is what we're doing right now. So we are done with our sketch and we control or final lines now. So a new layer crab in my pan tool slightly curves here, itty end. As you can see, there's a bit of a curve here and not the other side of her leg Here, slide curve here and then Yeah, there we go. And now we have you don't cover for the Muskal and then down for the rest of the lake. Straight line. And this is it. We are done. Now. We just need to add some color and that's it. You want to change here? This line, it's a bit too much. There you go. And no, yes, we can call it. So picking up a skin tone, take your time toe. Also explore the colors and different skin tones. There's lots of possibilities, so play with that as well. So now all we need now is to add some show. So we look at our image again. So there's some shadows over here that we can to and here also a little bit and a little bit to you. Well, actually, this this whole partisan in shadow there are difference shadows here, different tones. But we're going to keep it simple this time. And finally we can also just to something else that we forgot, which is a little line for our knee. So something here, for example, something like this. Very simple. And we're done, you've done it. And now just follow me for the next few where we're going to talk about the assignment. So I'll see you there
13. Assignment - Time To Practice!: all right. So it's time to put all our knowledge into practice now, which means it's time for our assignments. Now, this is going to be very simple. I'm going to give you some reference images like this ones, and all they have to do is choose one. Androids follow the steps that we did in the class. So start with the shapes. You can draw the shapes on top of her image. Then do your sketch and finally clean up your lines doing some line arts, and then you can calorie it up as always, stick as long as you need. You don't need to rush it. Repeat as many times as you wish and have fun once you're that close it up, I'll be shaking out as soon as possible. And I always love to see your work. So go do it now. I buy
