1. Introduction: Hello and welcome to my new course. In this course I'm gonna teach you how to draw using grids. So we're going to draw this Mickey Mouse drawing these lines across his drying, I'll call grit. And using these grids, we're going to copy this original picture onto a different paper. That's exactly what I'm going to teach you in this course. And later on, I'm going to teach you how to draw these grid lines by yourself using a ruler, how to measure them, and how to draw them. If you're interested in learning about this, make sure to watch this entire course. The materials that you would need for this course, our pencil and eraser ruler and some colored pencils, and of course, a piece of paper. 2. Drawing the Mickey Mouse: This is the fixture that we're going to draw. I have these small boxes here that is going to help me copy this Mickey Mouse picture onto the paper. So these lines are called grids. In this picture I have eight boxes horizontally and vertically. So I'm going to name and number them for easy representation. I'm going to use alphabets to name across like a, V, C, D, E, F, G, and H. So that I'm able to identify them and across I'm going to use 1234 By 678. Now I already have drawn a grip exact same size as this. I'm going to name this just how I made the other grid. And I'm using numbers. Now we're going to look at each and every part of the Mickey Mouse starting from the year. The face, the body, the boots, and on that. And we're going to identify which location or in which box that particular part of the Mickey Mouse's in. For example, if you take this ear, for example, mostly in the neck. And one, a little bit of it is in C. And do as well. I'm going to use these indications to draw the ears. So it's D. Something like this. Oops. This line is almost touching this line. This year is almost touching this line. So I need to bring it even further. Like that. I can draw maybe the head part. This part starts from again d and three above here. So that would be about here. It's kind of like a circle. So I'm going to use a circle to draw the phase of Mickey Mouse, etc. This part which is about just below three. So maybe about here. And I'm going to draw a circle. Maybe we can draw the next year. Starts. The, the column E and the row is two. So that'll be about here. It curves. Then touches this line, right here. Like so. Then it touches this line. And also design, we're going to maybe draw it a little bigger like that. Like that. Let's draw the body of the Mickey Mouse. Whereas the body begin, let's say it starts from D, column D and rho is for maybe about here. This is a curve, so I'm going to use this curve and this extends until about here. That'll be about here. Something like this. We have this little pants extends like this. This line actually crosses this line a little bit. Then this point is 66 column D, so that's row six, column D. Machine will be about here. This little curve here starts at this point and ends at column E, row four. That'll be column E row for about here. Awesome. We're almost done with the body part. Now let's draw the hand. It starts from the cheek about here and extends to about the middle of f. And that is what here. It starts here and extends about bot here. Maybe this has to be corrected like this. And let's draw the other hand. It starts from here. The other, this line starts from here next to the C. Great. Now shall we draw the legs? For the legs? It starts from here. It kind of curve is dead. It curves. And the legs it starts from here and it's kind of curved, isn't it? It comes and ends our most. The row seven. It just causes the room 70. In this lesson. We're going to draw this. Then the other thread. Then like this, the other length, it just continues with the body and extends a little bit further to touch this, right? Do you see that? It just touches this line? The other side you're going to be using the chest before it touches this mine doesn't actually touch. It's just a little bit closer, so I'm going to stop about there. Next, we'll draw the shoes. We have a little circle. Draw that. Then the same way for the other shoe as well. And then I'm going to draw the shoe. When you see the shoe it crosses, it's really huge. Grasses this line and reaches B and also extends to eight as well. So I'm going to keep that in mind and going to draw a curve like that extends to eight and then curves back to the other side. Now, for the other mode, let's start from this point and it's really big. It goes to F and then back to seven and back to six. So it goes like that. Seven and then back to six. I think this is really small. So I'm going to make it a bit bigger, like that. Make it a bit more curved. Then let's draw the first is we need to draw this part. As you see this part, as you see this touching the line three, we're going to start at line three that we're going to draw the rest of the globe using this grid as reference and extends to h. I'm going to draw it a really big like that. Then this. Then maybe I think I need to correct the shape of the thumb. My fat. Then the other Lao. As you can see, this glove hand should be a bit longer, I guess. The globe. We're always using this grid as reference. So as you can see, the thumb is almost touching this line. So we're going to draw the thumb almost touching this line. Really big thumb snip. Viewers. Then back to the globe. So now we need to draw the tail, the tail, these buttons, and then the rest of the face. Let's first draw the buttons, maybe the Vedas, various. See these, this line. It's on for its neck. It's about here. Then the buttons are in file C and D, about here. Then here. Then let's draw, oops. Then let's draw the trees. So it starts from here. And it extends up to G. Right here. Right about here. Becomes thinner and thinner as it goes. Let's draw this part, this inside part of the fees. It starts about here, which is It's right about here. Always while you're drawing, make sure you're drawing late so that you can correct them, erase them and correct them whenever you leave. So we need to correct the chin. This part. I'm going to be drawing the face like this. Then the chin part like this. Then I'm going to be drawing the nose. The nose is in-between D and E. And also it's kind of slanted. Great. It's in the middle and it's slanting line with the ball. Then we'll draw the ice. The wide smile. It's not straight. This is why you need to draw a light that you can correct it, then make it darker whenever you're happy with the drawing. Now let's draw the eyeballs. Then the tongue steps in. Shall I draw the outline and then maybe colored it. If you have a moth code or some kind of sketch fancy, you can use them for drawing the outline. I'm just tracing this outline. I bought the nose. Once you're done tracing the outline, you can now erase this, the pencil marks so that your drawing is clean and neat. Now it is very clean and neat. If you had these grid lines in pencil, you could have erase these grid lines as well and it could have been even more cleaner. But to begin with, this is great. You can also color this Mickey Mouse if I want. I have colored this Mickey Mouse using the normal means most colors. You can do the same and you can share it with me. In the next lesson, I'm going to teach you how to draw these grid lines in the first place. I'll see you there. 3. How to Draw the Grids?: Now this is the original picture that we had, and I'm going to draw the lines on top of this picture. And also I have a fresh piece of paper on which I'm going to draw this exact same grid lines that I'm really use a ruler. Offensive. And maybe an eraser is very important to drag grid lines because we need straight lines and very accurate measurement. So that will be able to draw more accurately. I'm going to draw a line around this Mickey Mouse. This is going to be approximately 16 centimeters like that. And I'm going to draw maybe a box. This is again, maybe 16 centimeters. This doesn't have to be a square box with equal signs. It can be rectangle as well depending on the picture that you are trying to draw. This picture is more or less like a square. So 16 by 16 should be good. Again, 16 centimeters. Now I'm going to draw the small boxes inside this big box. To do that. I'm going to measure so that I can get equal-size of boxes. In this case, I'm going to split them into two centimeter and boxes. I'm going to mark two centimeters. And after two centimeter, I'm just making a mark like that. For every two centimeters. Usually you can do it for like two centimeters or if you want bigger boxes, you can draw three centimeters as well. It's up to you. And again, I'm going to do the same on the other side as well. Centimeter markings throughout. I'm going to mark them at the bottom as well so that I can get straight lines. Also on the other side. Now we can join these markets. First mocking with the first one is just straight lines. Same way for the horizontal lines as well. Just joining these two dots. This is how you draw the grid lines. Now that we are going to copy the exact same measurement on to a different piece of paper on which you're going to draw this Mickey Mouse. We need a 16th centimeter by 16 centimeters squared. I'm going to first draw the square. Always measure using the first line and then keep the ruler as straight as you can. Then 16. Same way. This side to make sure the ruler is not it. Now, we have this box, just like we did on this Mickey Mouse picture. We're going to measure two centimeters and draw these lines. Again. Mock at exactly two centimeters. If you're going to be using three centimeters boxes on the original picture, then you will have to use three centimeter boxes on your grid as well. It has to be exactly the same measurement, marking on all sides so that the lines are Street. Okay, now we can join these dots. Since this grid isn't drawn using pencil, you can erase all the entire grid lines once you've completed the drawing so that your picture looks very neat. You can download the grid and also the Mickey Mouse picture for you to practice. 4. Conclusion: I hope you enjoyed this course and I really hope that you were able to draw this Mickey Mouse drawing along with me, you will be able to adulthood is Mickey Mouse picture in the course resources section so that you can practice drawing it by yourself as the unit next course, Bye.
