1. A Class about ...: M Hello. You might not believe what
I want to say about this, but let's first listen to it. Hey, everybody, and welcome
to another Deep Dive. Today, we're exploring
something really cool, a class all about using color
in visual storytelling. Ooh, that sounds interesting. Yeah, I think it's right up
our listeners alley, too. Yeah. You know, they're always keen on picking
up new skills. And this class is
all about, like, practical colours. You know? Like, imagine our listener is working with a
photo of their pet. The warm up questions might ask, What three words describe your pets persons
and experiences. Precisely. Who knows? Maybe this class
will even inspire you to explore other
creative avenues. Maybe you'll start
taking more photos, experimenting with
different art. This class was one
of my classes, and this podcast was
about the class. You may not believe this, but I made this podcast
without renting a studio, and I produced it in
less than one day, even less than 1 hour. So if you have a web log and you want to produce
podcast for the posts, do you have a shop
and you want to make some interesting podcasts
about the products? Do you have some comic
or illustration art, and you want to make a podcast
about the story of that? Are you interested in reading, but sometimes you prefer
to listen to that, for example, when
you are driving or when you are walking. Do you have a digital product or course that you want to
produce podcast for that? Or do you know any
brand or any friends brand that they might ask you to produce podcast for them? Or know you are a student or a teacher and you want to
make some interesting, interactive podcasts for the study materials
to learn better. So in general, are
you interested to repurpose your content
into podcast format? You might say yes, but
I don't have equipment. I can't rent studio, or there many podcasts
that I want to produce, then me, Hadis Maliki
enters with a solution. This solution don't ask you to have any recording equipment. You don't need any studio. You don't need to invite any
narrator or voice actor. You don't need any
script editing. This solution is
for situations that you want to dialog as a
repurpose of your contents. This solution is not
for when you want to have a podcast that is based
on inviting real guests. And this solution is not for situations that you
follow a podcast that is an influencer or a person or
a specialist that talk about a certain topic and you follow the podcast
because of that person. So this solution is just
for repurposing content. And as a bonus, I
will teach you how to edit the final audio. Now I'm looking at
my blog to choose a post to turn it
into a podcast. You please also think about what you want to turn
it into a podcast. As I'm listening to the podcast, please think about what you
want to turn into podcast. As I see you and the cast. Ready to dive into
something fun. We're talking custom gifts
on Instagram stories. Oh, see you. Who those awesome.
2. PodCast Project #1: Okay, for our first
project, first, we should define what sources we want to produce podcast from. What can be the sources? They can be your document file, a PDF or text. They can be a YouTube video. They can be a website link. They can be an APT audio file. They can be a Google Dog file, and also they can be a Google slide file or just simply a text that
you copy and paste that. Here, for this project, I choose a website link. What tool do you need? You need Notebook LM. You can access that via this
URL, notebookmgogle.com. Now I go to notebogoogle.com and here we can choose what
source we want to give it. Here, I search to my
blog and I choose the post that I want to
convert it to a podcast. I copy the URL, then I choose website and
I paste the URL here. Let it process the text. I add a name for that, a name that I can recognize
this project later. You see, Notebook M gives
us so many options. On the right side, we can generate podcast. We can add some specification, but here, I only
just press generate. While it's generating the
podcast, I start chatting. Yes. For example,
I ask a question. According to the blog post, what is the application
of gif you files. You see, Notebook m is not
just for producing podcast. It can also help
you or in general, we can say it
deciphers many text, many contents, and then you can regenerate or ask them
or learn them better. Here it gives me a
very good answer. Okay, I give it a feedback. I go to Notebook Guide, and let's see if I
podcast podcast ready? It's something
fun. We're talking custom gifts on
Instagram stories. Oh, cool. You know, those awesome animations
everyone's using? Yeah. Imagine creating
your own N. Really? That's what we're
gonna unpack today. Okay. You're using this
Classic Stop Motion Jiff Oh, I see. Or you could play with
the Cinemagraph style. Just a small part of
the image is animated. It creates a subtle
and captivating. Very good, very good. Telegram. Okay. If you
press on three dots, you can change the speed
of playback if you want. For example, here,
I try double speed. But first, let's make sure lt feel confident
tackling instagram let's it back to Wix.
Lot of information. Here, also, we can
download the file. You can download it and
use it wherever you want. I give you the feedback and by pressing the icon that is
square with an arrow upward. Here we can share
this final audio. I pressed on preview and
take a screenshot of the final audio to set it as my project,
for example, photo. I like this podcast and I like the files that Notebook
LM generate because they are not just
simply some formal talking with no
energy or robotic. My first language is Persian. Each language is beautiful. Each language is really,
really beautiful. For example, Persian is
something rhythmic or poetry. But English has energy. English is very
animatic on my mind. When I listen to someone
talk in English, it has so much energy. For example, someone say, A salam Hal show by Parmit. But in English, they say, hello. Yes, so much animatic. I noticed in the podcast, there is that energy. Also they talk to each other. For example, yes. Oh, yeah, really, I do. This makes the
podcast interesting and I really like the output. Now the podcast is ready
for the next podcast, I want to use another source. Work on your podcast and let's see you and
then next listen.
3. PodCast Project #2: Okay. In this project, we want to choose a
different source. I want to teach you how to
choose a document file. I have a class, so I want to select class description,
project description, and then turn that into
a Google Dark file and then turn that
into a podcast. Here's my profile on Skillshare. I go to the class that I want. Yes, I copy the
project description. I make a new Google Doc file. Then I paste the class
description here. Good. Yes. Now I want to copy and paste
the project description. I copy that and here I paste the project description
of my class. Now I go to Notebook M.
Here's our previous project. Now I create a new project
and in the sources, I want to put the link
of the Googledoc. I press Share and Google
Doc give me the link. I copy the link and
go back to NougLM and in the document
section, paste the link. It founds my document. I select it and it
starts processing. This time, I put some description for
the podcast generation. For example, I say, this file is about giving description and project description
of a class and I give it some notes
about the audience, who are the audience
and the pronunciation of my name which is Hadis. Let's wait till let's
generate the podcast. You see, there are other
options, for example, FAQ, for example, briefing
doc, we can try that. For example, study guide. If you have materials or sources that you
want, study from. Yes, the podcast is ready. Hey, everybody, and welcome
to another Deep Dive. Today, we're exploring
something really cool, a class all about Apress share
and copy the share link, and also we can preview that. They're always keen on
picking up new skills, and this class is all about
practical color techniques. Plus Okay. You can also download the
file whenever you want to use the file in your projects in
a video or in other places. Now we have the link and
our project is ready. In the next lesson, I teach you how to make
your project on schedule and share your project so
me and other can see that. S in the next lesson.
4. Your Project: Okay, your project, let's review what you should
do for your project. First, you should define
the sources that you want to convert them into a podcast. Each project of Notebook m can only have
one source or no, you can give it many sources, for example, multiple blogs. And then I advise
that you choose something that you really want
to share the podcast with. If you just produce a podcast that is not
important for you, then you don't want to share it. But if you choose something
that you like that, you have produced that or you have something really like
that or some fun with that, then you really interested, you are really interested
to share that. And step two is that you choose Notebook L M.
You create a project, you add your sources, and in the final step, as we done in the
previous lessons, you generate the podcast. Now for creating the project on Skillshare, you
create a project. I show you now how, then you add a cover
image, and after that, you put your link there,
you add descriptions, you have your ideas, you write whatever
description that you want. So here you press Submit
project down below the class. Then a page in open, you set the name
of your project. And here in the description, you write the description, you want your ideas, whatever you want, and the
link of your final project. It has cover image. I choose that
screenshot that I had. Look, if you don't use cover image in the
project gallery, your project will
be something blank. Just put some photo
as project cover. Don't forget this. Then I publish these are optional
for your project, but if you want, you can not just share
your final podcast, but also turn it
into a video format. You can also edit the podcast, add music to that, cut that, and whatever you want. And as a bonus in
the next lesson, I will teach you
just a simple way how to edit your podcast, for example, trim that
or add music to that. So see in the next lesson,
5. Edit and Music: Et's try something. If I type, keep the podcast
less than 2 minutes. Not for CM, keep the podcast
less than 2 minutes. Does it have any
effect? Let's try. No, it's still 12 minutes. Let me check. Yes, I
search and it says, No c and podcast. It is 6-15 minutes and
it's indeterminate. So what we should do? If I want a shorter podcast, I should edit that. Now I want to tell you
how to edit the podcast, how to trim that, or how to
add some music in between. So go and search no copyright music for
them in between music. Here, I go to Pixel Bay and you see there are some
icons near them. For example, this
music is AI generated. This one is featured. Okay, I choose this one. You can put more time
to choose some music, and I drag and drop my podcast into a
software called audacity. For cutting aparte audio, you right, click on
the place that you want to cut and click split. Now, I click on the part
that I want to take out, I click Edit, and I delete that. Then you can select and
move the other parts. Here, I want to add the music. I choose File Import, and then I choose the audio
file, the music file. I can select and drag it
to the part that I want. You see, it's easy, very easy. Now let's move the music to a part that is
proper for that. For example, this,
I split that here and move the music to
this part as a break, for example, a music as a break. I shorten the length of music by dragging the end
or beginning of each part. Let's listen and see if it
is a good part to insert a music. It's a loop here. I have clicked by mistake. No worry, right click
and select clear Loop. Let's listen. It really pushes you to think
about color in this way. Yeah. But you know
what always gets me? I want to put that, but
you know what gets me, whatever he said.
After the music. So I stop the music and drag the end of it
a little bit earlier, move the music part
and drag the beginning of the other part just
before the sections. Okay, now it's before but, you know what gets me. Okay. Now I want to let
the music fade out. I choose Effect fade out. Why I did this? Because I don't want the music to suddenly stop. Actually choosing the colors. It's now amusing.
Opis. It's over. Gradually staring at a
giant box of crayons, being like Decrease the volume, and then the next part, start. Now, I want to export the file to save this file as
an ampitr or wave. I do some other editing. For example, I shorten
it from in between. Okay, now I want to export
this one and have an pit file. I go to file export and
export as pit file. And now I set a name for that. For example, my color class mixed because I have
mixed it with music. It says, Do you want to
compress all of them, all of the tracks
in one? I say, yes. Now it gives me a fun.
Let's listen to it. Is it correct? I skip to the part that
I added the music. Think about it when we
bright red and yellow, gray. Color. Yeah. It works. Notice the length
is 4 minutes and 20 seconds. Okay. Now we have edited
music and you can now share your project and do very interesting
podcast generation that I am really
interested to see.
6. Final Thoughs: Okay, I want to thank you
for being with me till now, and also I want to congrats you because you put
your time and you learned a new skill that
is born just recently. I'm so proud of you
because you are using your time in upgrading your
skills or learning more, not everyone do this. Really, not everyone do this. While you are learning new
skills, not everyone do this. I'm really proud of you
and I congrats to you. Please write whatever you
want in the discussion. For example, maybe you
want to talk about AI, maybe you want to
talk about your blog, maybe you want to talk about new opportunities that has come to your mind
using this method. Or your experience. The discussion board
is really free and come and interact
with other students. Also, please share your project. I'm really interested to listen your project because
when I listen to that, I think about what
sources you have used with an interesting it
brings ideas to my mind. Then also, please check
other students projects. You can interact with each other and maybe start shared projects. Please write review for the class on the
discussion board. If you want to see any
new class, please, yes, I would be very glad
to hear that from you and see you in the
next class. Bye.
