Create a Video Presentation in Canva

1. Introduction to the Course: Hello, and welcome to the course. Create a video presentation in Canva. In this course, you will learn step by step how to design and create a professional video presentation using Canva. We will start with the basics, such as setting up your Canva project and exploring the interface. From there, you will outline your content, design your title slide, and build supporting slides that highlight key ideas. You will also discover how to add images, icons, and illustrations to make your presentation visually engaging. Then we will apply animations and transitions, record voice narration, and include background music for a pulsed and professional finish. By the end of this course, you will have created a complete video presentation on a topic of your choice, combining design, storytelling and multimedia elements. This hands on project will not only strengthen your canvas skills, but also boost your confidence in presenting ideas through engaging video content. Getting Started: Canva is a free to use web based design application that allows you to design out graphics as well as presentations and also edit videos. In this course, we're going to see how we can actually create presentation, interesting presentation with animations that we can utilize to capture audiences attentions easily. So to access Canva first on the browser of your choice, you need to type in canva.com, and then you need to go ahead and sign up for a free account. In my case, I have already signed up using my Google account, so I'm just going to go ahead and log in. And over here, you can see that I already have my Google account right here, so I can simply go ahead and continue. Or if you have another account, you can go ahead and continue right here. My case, let me just go ahead and continue with my Google account here, just like this. And then what happens is that it allows me to actually go ahead and select everything. But let me just go around over here. I already have my account right here linked, so I'm just going to go around over here and continue out right here. I'm just going to go ahead and log in. And then I have verified my account, and I'm just going to go ahead and click on Continue R here, just like this. Let's just go ahead and continue it out. And then you'll be redirected to the homepage of Canva. So here you can see that you can access out canvas sheets, Canva docs, whiteboard, there's presentation, social media, photo editor, video, and so forth. You can go ahead and create out website designs, right here. So let's say what I want to do right here is go ahead and create out a presentation. So what I'm going to do is click on presentation right here, just like this, and then I get to the presentation mode. And this is what we're going to focus on in this entire course as we learn how we can go ahead and create interesting presentation. So you can see that the interface is loading, and over here on the left hand side, you get an option to access out elements. You can go ahead and access out text. You can go ahead and access out uploads and so forth, right here, just like this. And now, what we're actually going to do is make up a presentation related to online education. So this is the interface, and over here on the bottom, you see the slides and everything right here. So what we want to do is we can go ahead and create everything from scratch. Let's say, for example, I can go to TextRt here, I can click on text, and then I can make the changes, import out graphics, make everything from scratch. But to speed up our workflow and for as of working, we're going to go ahead and utilize something called templates. So we're going to go ahead and create an educational template. Let's say, for example, we're going to go ahead and create a presentation slide for outlining the benefits of online education. So to do that, I'm going to go around over here on to design, and I want to search for educational, let's say, for example, education related templates. So let's just go ahead and search, and you can see education related templates here. So you can go ahead and choose the one which you find interesting. Let's say, for example, I have this one right here. So the one with the crown are the premium ones, the one without, are the free ones to use. So I'm just going to go around and stick to the free ones for this particular project here. So you can see that I got back to school light thing right here. I even have project dissertation, and this one with the board Rra here, this seems interesting. So let's just go ahead and click R here. And you can see that I got different templates right here that I can actually use. So I can go ahead and click on it, and that template will be inserted out, and we can go ahead and edit this out as we want. So now, what we're going to actually do is utilize this to actually go ahead and add in the contents as necessary and prepare our slides. And then we're going to go ahead and how to work around with it to make it more interesting as we go along the course. 3. Building the Project Presentation: Now that we have our relevant template here and we are ready to start making the slide, let's actually go ahead and make the slide itself. So I already already have a plan on what I want to keep in my slide. So in slide one, I have the title and subtitle, then in slide two, I have these and so forth. So you can go ahead and have a plan like this, or you can simply go ahead and make every points on the Goop. In my case, I already have it. So let's just go ahead and add this in on my particular slide rot here. So first up is the title slide rot here. So for that, I'm going to go ahead and insert this one, let's say, for example. And then I'm going to go ahead and copy out the title rot here. I'm going to go ahead and press Control C, and then around over here, I'm going to double click and press Control B to go ahead and pase it up. Similarly, you can see the subtitle is a modern approach to education. So I'm just going to go ahead and double click and pase it out. And just like that, you can go ahead and rearrange out the elements here as you want right here. So let's just go ahead and rearrange it out so that the spacing is okay. And immediately, you can see that I have um, design here with my text. Let's just go ahead and let's do the same for slide two as well. For slide two, I'm going to go ahead and utilize another page. So let's just go ahead add in a piece. And over here, I'm going to go ahead and use another design for this. So let's say, for example, I'm going to go ahead and utilize this one. Using Images and Illustrations: Now that we have our basic content ready, let's just go ahead and add in more graphics to it. And you can see that immediately you can add in relevant graphics to make the presentation much more interesting than it actually already is. And now, as we move along, we're going to go ahead and add in motion, and then we're going to go ahead and add in different elements as needed to make the presentation even more interesting. 5. Adding Motion: So over here you can see that I have a presentation rot here and this presentation has the contents that I need along with the graphics. So let's say, for example, if I were to go ahead and present it right here, let me just go ahead and utilize the present full screen option rot here to see how this actually presents. You can see that there's animation rot here. So you can see that I can go back. I can go next rot here. I do have the animation, but it's not on all of the objects. Let's say, for example, right here. So you can see that these are the animations rot here just like this. But for this one as well, you don't see the animation in the computer rot here. But now, let's say, in order to turn it into a video presentation, I want to go ahead and add in a voice narration. So to do that, you need to go to the audio section over here on the left hand side. And if you don't see it, you simply need to go ahead and click on duration over here on the bottom, and then you actually have the add audio option here. You need to go ahead and click on it to get the audio option here, just like this. So over here you can see that you can generate AI voice or record your voice over. Our case, we want to go ahead and record the voice over. So let's just go ahead and click R here, just like this. And then what you can do is select out the source of the audio here that the browser asks, and then you need to go ahead and click on Allow While Visiting site. Project Description: You have now come to the end of the course, and now it's time for you to create your own video presentation project in Canva. So what you have to do is you need to go ahead and begin by choosing a topic first, and you need to go ahead and choose a design as well. So you can create everything from scratch or use one of the templates that you have run. Yeah. So what you need to do is you'll need to begin by choosing a topic of your choice and by outlining the key main topics just like this so that you can go ahead and add it into your slides. So make sure you have the key points you want to present. And next, design the title slide first, start with the title slide that introduces your topic, and followed by supporting slides just like this. First, focus on creating the slides and then express out your main ideas like this clearly. So make sure to use Canvas library of images and graphics. So you have elements right here. Make sure you utilize the images, the icons, the illustrations, or even go ahead and feel free to upload your own components as I did as well. So whenever you are actually presenting it out, it is quite interesting as well for the audiences, and then make sure to add in tangentens as well, if necessary. So which air will in turn make your presentation very smooth. And after that, make sure to record your voice as well as I did. So go to the audio section right here, go to record voice over or simply go round and click on duration to access out the timeline. As needed. So make sure to then record your voice over to narrate and explain each of the slides right here, as needed, and then add in a background music just like this as well to make it more interesting from the audio section as well. Make sure the sound is balanced and the background music is not very loud and make sure that the narration is clearly as well. And finally, make sure to review all of the presentation that you have made just like we did, and Make sure that it follows the design consistency, has proper pacing, has good audio quality, and then finally go ahead and then share it out, share a link, and even go ahead and then go to the share option itself and then use the download option to go ahead and download a video project for that as well. So, after that, by the end of the project, you'll have a fully designed and narrated video presentation that showcases your creativity and strengthens your skill in visual storytelling in multimedia design, and feel free to go ahead and share those video with me.
