1. Welcome to the CapCut Intermediate Masterclass!: You've already learned the basics of editing in CapCut, the next step is to learn how to work faster, smarter and more creatively. In this class, we're going to focus on tools and workflows that can take you beyond the fundamentals of CapCut. Hi, I'm Hosna a freelance professional and online instructor. Over the years, I've taught more than 200,000 students across more than 15 courses. I work regularly with short-form content and social media posts, and CapCut has become one of my favorites for achieving quick and professional edits. In this course, we're going to explore CapCuts AI features. Also learn how to work with texts and captions more efficiently. Like how to create auto caption for your videos, then we're going to be completing a fully AI assisted video from scratch. We're going to begin with brainstorming, coming up with the concept, laying out the videos and media, and then combining them all inside CapCut. Finally, we're going to explore CapCut Mobile, where we're going to look at some quick filters, background removal, speed ramping, beat sinking, and many other effects that you could use for your social media. By the end of the class, you're going to know how to use the AI features within CapCut, how to use your phone for editing, and how to create more short-form content efficiently. 2. CapCut AI Tools Quick Overview: Mm So now you can use AI tools within CapCut, and there's a lot that we can go over. But right over here in the homepage, you can see that we're getting AI video. So this is where you put in a prompt, and then you get a footage like the preview that we're looking at right now. We also have AI image. Again, you put in a prompt, but this is going to give you a still photograph and not so much a video. We have video translator, which is going to seamlessly translate your videos into different languages or, you know, you could turn that into captions and reach a wider audience. You can see everything that's labeled with a little AI symbol in the corner that uses AI models. We have AI dialogue scene. So if you have a picture and you want the picture to talk, you can create that with artificial intelligence. This is another cool feature. It's regarding fashion, so you can see that we're just throwing on a bunch of clothing onto one photograph. Using AI, it's going to fit that clothing to your model. And then, lastly, we have Auto Reframe. This is going to be, you know, if you have a landscape video and you want to put it for Tik Tok, it's going to reframe it, so it's perfect for uploading. You don't have to go in and crop everything yourself or figure out the correct dimensions. We also have the AI design, which is going to be for things like thumbnails or anything else that you want to design, so graphic wise, you could bring into your project. And then, lastly, it's the AI Video Maker, which is going to be a combination of, you know, AI video, AI image, and also some music as well. This chapter is going to be all about the AI tools, and I'm going to get started with the one on the farthest left, which is AI Design. 3. Creating AI Design: Now, this is a new feature, so make sure that you're updated to the latest CapCut Desktop so that you're able to see this. When you click on it, it's going to bring you to this different window, which looks completely different from what we were doing here. So, if you've ever worked with any sort of AI chatbot, it's the same idea. So you're going to type in a bunch of text, which is going to be a prompt, describing what you're looking for, and then CapCut is going to be, you know, making that for you. So we can see that they're using CDream. This is probably the newest version. You can try it out. But if you scroll down, you can see the sort of things that you're able to make using this feature. So we have things like a poster. We know big text. We have visuals like this burger, very nice textures like this piece of cloth right now, some sort of graphics, like this anime style feature. We have really realistic footage, pot if you want, products, sketches, and so many more. And if you click on any one that you like, you're going to see the ability for you to change it up and make it your own. So this is the name of the project, and you can take a look at the different variations. But notice down here how you're able to just tweak it a little bit and make it your own. So you can say, change the overall style of Image one. So this is Image one with, like, another style that you uploaded. For example, you don't like the fact that it's black and white. So you have the same layout over here, but you may be upload an image that has more vibrant colors while keeping the original style, composition, and background. Also just completely switch out this prompt and do something else. So before I type this in, I'll just show you what these are. These are some of these suggestions that you could do for your prompt. If you're not sure how to get started. You can try out replacing the characters. There's only two hands here, changing the text, changing the overall style. I click on this, immediately, it puts this as a reference, a composition reference, and it gave me the prompt. So all I have to do is just describe the preferred style, and CapCut is going to do the rest for me. So let's say that I want this to be more colorful, not so much black and white. So let's say vibrant retro. And I'm just going to hit the arrow to send this to the AI model. You could add more references, so it's labeled one, but you can click on here and upload more. So let's say you want to combine two images together, you can do that. There's also this option down here for you to switch between models. So we have the nano banana from Google. You can have it chosen automatically or manually. If you turn it off, it's manual. So this is with nano banana, but you can see dream 5.0 or 4.0, whichever you prefer. I'm just going to set this back to Auto so CapCut can determine which model is best for me. Okay, once I'm done, I could hit the send. And it brought me to this whole different window where I still have my prompt. You can see it's right over here. But this is like a different canvas for you to not only get that image done, but also edit it before sending it back to CapCut. So if you've worked with platforms like Mid Journey, Firefly, DaVinci, it's pretty much the same idea. The only difference is that this is linked to your video editing project. Alright, so let's just hit send over here. So I just had to sign in real quick. It will only take a few seconds, and I'm going to hit Send. So it's going to do some thinking and then give you the final product. You're able to edit it before, you know, downloading the result that you're happy with. But while this is happening, let me just give you a quick tour of what's going on around here. So you're able to hide this chat if you want to focus more on the Canvas, you're able to share the link to this project. It's going to, you know, copy the link for you. You can also see the history. So if you've made changes to this project, you can go back to something you had before. You can also make a whole new chat and delete the history and the prompts that you put in previously. And then we have the same references here and the model. So this is the vibrant retrostyle that I asked for, and you can see it's pretty decent. This was our original on the right side. This is what we have now after the prompt change. You can see that it's the exact same wording, the exact same hand, the flowers. I just made it a little bit different. Now if I don't like this, I could go back in here and be like, you know, remove the pinks or something like that, maybe replace the hands with more flowers. Anything that you could think of, you can just type it over here, and it's going to make it happen for you. We also have different pages. So let's say, you know, you want to keep this as it is, but you want to start another project here. So like another version of this hand. So, I could do, let's go back here. Type in, make this professional. Oops. And send that in. It's going to do the thinking again and then give us another version. I could just go back to this one if I wanted to. We have the option to copy it as a PNG file. You can delete it, duplicate it, you know, add a page before, after, and export it into a different format. So if you hit Export, you can choose the page, the format, the size, and the quality. Okay, so it gave us the second one. It's not that different. I think that it only added the little black lines over there. But basically, if you are more specific with your prompt, you're going to get a better design. So in the beginning, I asked for a retro vibrant retro poster, and that's very specific, but professional can be, you know, a bit open ended. So you can make a prompt that's like, make it more professional by adding, you know, geometric lines. Only one color follow like this specific hex code, et cetera. So I'm just going to delete this guy. Just like that. And now let's look at the stuff on the other side. So you're able to upload more references or maybe you want to upload a logo over here. You can do that with this button, hit Upload or grab it from the space, which is linked to your CapCut account. You can add in text yourself. There's a lot of templates for you to use. You can add in your own as well, and that will give you the usual options for text. Just going to right click and delete. We have some stickers. Again, lots of templates for you to look at. There's also categories up here, a search bar, and you can put things just by clicking on them and make your poster more fun. We have some shapes. And then we have more designs such as, you know, a separate theme, fonts, colors that are kind of grouped in together so that it's easy to use. You just click on it and it gets applied. So if I click on this guy, you can see that it gives me the I put it here so you guys can see the group that makes the most sense. So design wise, these three fonts work well together. You have your header, your subheader, and your body text. So I don't need to go search for different fonts that work together. I could just click on one of these. Same thing for colors. If I click on this, it's going to give me different fonts again, and I'm sure you noticed that it changed the color in the background. So if I choose this, you can see that it changes the color for me based on the theme that I chose. And then we have colors down here. You can also optimize the color if you're not happy with what you're seeing, and it also extracts the colors from your image. So these colors are from this poster. Next, we have frames. You can put this artwork in a frame. There's so many options for you and then brand kit. So this is where you get to put in and combine your logo. Let's say you have a business, you have a brand, you can combine your logo, your font, your colors into one box so that you're instantly able to apply it. Make your own brand kit that's going to take you to a different window, and, you know, you get to upload the videos, the images, stickers and everything else that goes with your brand. I'm just going to go back here using the back keep. It's just like a new browser. And then we have some templates that you can just click on. I'm just going to make a new page and add this new template. So we have this sky, this sky, and this sky. So on the Layers panel, we have our background. We have the poster, and then we have the butterfly that we added ourself. Next to that is the Zoom panel and then your different tools. There's only the move tool and the hand tool. Move Tool is what we've been using so far. You're able to move things around as separate elements, but the hand tool allows you to move the canvas itself. And then this is your credits. Let me just switch here or you're, you know, using the AI. Alright. Once you're done, you can hit Download as any format that you want. I'll just do a very simple JPEG. Let's do the usual, get a high quality footage and download our poster. All right. Now you can also rename this project. Let's call it My Poster. And then the CapCut menu allows you to make a new project from this, and there's also some other stuff for you to look at. Now I'm just going to close this because I made my design. To here. And close this. You can also start something from scratch by typing a prompt here. So, let's say, make a poster for vacation by the Beach. Make it fun and bold. So if I hit this, again, we're back at this window, and we're going to get, you know, the AI model thinking about how to turn your words into design. You get to edit it with the tools that we saw and use a chatbot to make further adjustments. So there's my poster. It's pretty fun, and if I'm happy with it, I could just download it. If something seems off, I could just, you know, go back with the tools that we looked at. I'll just hit X this time, and we're back to the homepage. If you want to exit AI Design, just click on Home and you're back to the homepage. So that's how AI Design works. You can see how handy it will be when you're actually making your videos over here. You need a thumbnail or you're trying to post it on LinkedIn. You need a poster. With a few clicks, you're able to create designs that match your brand as well as match the goal that you were trying to achieve. In the next lesson, we're going to move on to the AI Video Maker, which, like I said, combines a few of the tools, and it's probably the most effective one. So let's go ahead and see how this tool works. 4. Using AI Video Maker: Our next tool is the AI Video Maker, which is right over here. Simply click on it, and you're going to be brought to this new window. So this is going to be a place where you get to do everything video related. So the process of brainstorming, matching things to scripts, or even adding like a talking head, they're all done in one place. So this is different from the video maker. So if I just go back to the homepage, AI Video is going to be just regarding the video itself. So let's say you want a clip of a duck swimming in a pond, that's going to be something you can get here. But the thing that we were looking at earlier, that's a lot more involved. If I just exit that we'll be back in the homepage. I'll click on this again and just show you around. So you can create a new project by clicking this button. Down here is some of the examples that creators have done. So if we just take a look, there's still images like this. There's captions on the bottom. There is realistic footage. We have, like, animated stuff and so much more. And then there's different categories. So if you want to tell a story with this go here. There's religious stuff, educational. And this sort of format is probably something you've seen on TikTok. It's very trending. People create content by, you know, utilizing the tools like this to just put a message out there, whether it's a story, it's an experience, news or anything else. Alright, so we're just going to start with one of these. The easiest one to work with is the Instant AI video, which is just going to give you the clip itself. So you just put in what you're looking for. And you can see here that you're going to put your topic here, they turn it into a script and also add the key points that's going to elevate that script. You can choose a style from here, so I'll just choose the whimsical one, choose your aspect ratio, horizontal or vertical, and then put in something here. So a video about the importance of, let's say, drinking water. You can also put in your own script if you have one already, but I'm in the generate script tab right now, so I don't need to put that much information in here. Now, over here, you can choose who gets to talk for your script. You can listen to a preview Welcome to creating voiceovers. Welcome to creating Voice Welcome to Create Welcome. The ones that have the little certified thing are, like, they're really, like, advanced, and you'll probably not run into a lot of issues with them. But Oops. Let's see who we had initially. Welcome to Create. Voice. So you can see the one that didn't have I chose this guy. The one that didn't have the you know, the checkmark, it's a little bit Iffy. But I'm going to try to find something that works with, like, a informational footage. Welcome to creating Voiceovers. This is perfect. I'm doing like, you know, the importance of drinking water, and I want the voice to match. Then you can choose the duration. So I'm going to go for 10 minutes just so you guys can see how, you know, in depth this is going to be. Once you're done, you can hit Create. It's going to generate the video. And as you can see, it's doing a bunch of things and hence the name instant video. So I'm just going to let this run, and then I'll show you what comes after. You're able to edit things or even download it, take it to CapCut, manually mix it with a bunch of other footage, and see what else you could do. Alright, so this is after it, you know, processed my prompt. You can see there's a lot of lines here, and I did get an error that it cannot do for create voiceovers for more than 100 scenes, and it ended up splitting my script. So that's something that you may run into. But other than that, you can see that there's a line for each of the seconds. You get to see the second, the voice that we chose, what the script is. And you were able to add in some frames as well. So let's see what we have. The footage is like 11 29. Minutes, and I'm currently not getting any footage because I need to choose for each of the lines. So you get to choose stock Media, generate AI Media. And the reason why I didn't do it itself is because, like I said, it ended up splitting my work. It was a little too long. But I'm just going to try one with, like, this line. We'll do it manually, so generate AI media for all. And I'll choose my style again. So I'll go with the whimsical one. Let's apply it. And you can see that it's going to take a long time because there's a lot of scenes. So let's just do it for one. So if you want, you could just go on this and generate AI Media for all or do it individually from the top options. But this right here is a pretty good image and pretty good video. If I just go to the voiceover. It's when you don't drink enough. Well, that's when dehydration kicks in, and it's not just about feeling a little thirsty. So you can see the captions match the audio. It's definitely the topic that I asked for importance of drinking water. And once you're done with your work, let's say the script was perfect. If you wanted to make another script, you can. You have all the AI footage or your own footage. You can either export it as its own video or edit it more inside CapCut. So I'm just going to hit X for now. Go back to our homepage. And show you a bunch of the other stuff. We have avatar video. This is going to be, you know, a talking head, essentially. You get to choose from a different styles or make something yourself and then generate another script. So the process is very similar. You're just applying it to different things. So, unlike the first video where we could get different scenes, here we're just getting, you know, an avatar. You can also brainstorm ideas with CapCut. Just put in an idea here and then work with you to figure out a good video idea. So you can put in your idea let's say you want to make a clip about strawberries, but you're not sure where to go with it. This is the place to come to get a good video idea. Just going to hit back here. The last thing is match media to script. So if you have a footage, you can either enter your own script or generate a script that's going to match whatever you upload here. So let's say if it's like a video of birds flying around and you want to make it like an educational video about birds, it's going to match the voice over to the frames and give you a ready to publish result. That's the AI Video Maker. As you can see, they pretty much put everything you need into one place, and it's separated from the manual editing that we have in the homepage here. In the next lesson, we're going to take a look at Auto Reframe, which is a very helpful tool if you plan on publishing for social media, and you're trying to publish things across different platforms like YouTube, where it requires maybe horizontal footage and TikTok where it requires vertical. So instead of going over here and doing your own cropping and reframing, you can do it automatically here. 5. Auto Reframe for Social Media: So this is going to be a very quick lesson because the Auto Reframe is very easy to use. So I'm just going to click on it right here, and you're going to get this pop up window. Now, in your resource pack, there is a video that you could import to follow along, and I'm just going to do that real quick, then we'll be back to continue. So this is my video. You can see that it's a horizontal footage of this dancer. And if I want to turn this into a vertical video, I would have to make sure that the subject is in the center. So right now, let's say this frame, if we were to cut this in half, the center would be somewhere here, but you can see that the ballerina dancer is onto the side. So if I were to do this manually, I would have to move my frame every chance that I could keep her within. So as you can see, she moves around a lot, but the video itself is pretty stable. Now, on the right side, you get to choose a new dimension. So we were talking about a vertical shot. I'm just going to click on it, and you can see how the frame is moving with the ballerina dancer. This blue thing right here is the frame. And if you want, you can decide on the image stabilization. There's a shaky footage that you want to, you know, stabilize. You can do it here. So if I choose flexible, I could choose stable, fully stable or normal. So basically, flexible is going to be a lot more natural, whereas stable is going to look like it was shot with a gimbal. Just going to set it to normal, and then we have another option for the camera moving. So this right here is your camera. If you put it on fast, you can see that the speed is a lot quicker. If I do it slow, it's going to be very gentle and very incremental. Normally, you would want to have the middle setting so that it looks the most natural, but you can explore with the other options. This is for a vertical shot, but you could turn this into a square as well, and you can see that it's still going to move around as needed. You could do a shot like this. But if you choose something like this, you don't really need to worry about moving the frame. It's mostly for the opposite of the original dimension. You choose something that is not that different from the original ratio like this guy. This is very similar to a landscape shot, so you can see that the edges do actually meet the edge of our original video, so there isn't any space for movement. But if you choose something that's the opposite, so landscape is opposite to vertical or portrait, there will be some room for the camera to move around. I'm just going to keep this as the TikTok one, and now you have two options. You can either export it directly by clicking this button, or you can import it into your project. I could just add in a few things from all the tools that we have and then export it once I have everything built in. So that's the Auto Reframe feature. As you said, it was very simple, very short lesson. It will be pretty handy if you do want to publish things across different platforms. And as you can see, we brought it back in here, so you could use some of the AI tools that we looked at earlier, apply it to this or just export it as it is right now. In the next lesson, we're going to look at how we could use AI to translate our videos and then create captions. So let's go ahead and see how we do that. 6. Video Translation & Localization: You can easily translate your videos or audios with a simple click using artificial intelligence. So I'm going to be using this feature for today's lesson, and when you click on it, it's going to open up a new window. Don't panic because you can easily go back to your project if you're working between panels. Okay, so this is the panel that you're going to see, and all you really got to do is upload things here, decide the language, and then hit Translate. In the resource pack, there is an audio for you guys to use. I'm just going to upload that same audio right here and then we can continue. So this is 40 seconds long, and it's just like a voice of a police. This is what it sounds like without any translation. Sir, drop your weapon. Put your hands on your head and get down on the ground. You are going to be placed under arrest. So that's in English, but I could just go over here and choose another language. So let's try Russian, for example. And this is going to take credits from you. So right over here, you can see that so it's going to use some credits. For me, it's going to take 2 minutes. That was a 42nd long audio. But the shorter it is, the faster this is going to go. And if you hit Go Back, your task is going to be down here, so I could try Russian. I could do another one and just compare the options. So I'll do Japanese as well. If you also see that it's not detecting the original language, you can also select it here. My audio was in English, so I'm just going to find English here. And then import the footage again from English to Japanese. And then once I have this, I just hit translate again. Now, let's see what the Russian version sounds like. Sir Brostiaugeuk Nagvum you can see the voice is pretty similar. Now, accuracy wise, I can't really attest to that because I don't know Russian. But you can try it out yourself and see what you get. Now, once you have that audio, you're able to either go back, do another run, export it as it is. So either as a video or just an audio, you can give it a name, choose where you want it to be saved, or you could bring it into your project, just like the previous lesson where you get to add some text, some video, and other things. So when I click on that, it brought in the audio down here. And now I could pair it with a image, something that I could either import or generate with the AI, which we looked at in the previous lessons. So just to show you what that would look like, I'm going to go to AI Video inside the media tab. And since we have a police officer talking, I'll do something of that sort. Let's say, it's gonna generate the audio. I didn't really specify the style or how long. I'm just trying to show you guys how this would work. You could, like I said, import something that you like, sort it out in the import tab, and then drag them in right here. While that's happening. You can also grab in footage from the library, maybe look for pulse right here, and we get a bunch of these videos that you get to use. We bogieritovn. We made a Pravogran Malchaa and there we go. So this guy is at 14%. Generally, when you don't give a long prompt, it's going to spend more time trying to figure out, you know, the places that you didn't really specify, such as the style, the duration, format of the video camera angle, and all that stuff. But if you have a more detailed prompt, it should take less time than this guy. So I'm just going to delete this because I didn't really put in enough information. But as you can see, you don't really need to use the AI video feature because there's so many things that you could just drag in here and complete your project with. That was one feature. I'm just going to save the audio just so that we could use it in the next feature, which is for captions. So I'm going to export this right here. I'll call this Russian police. I only have audio checked, so make sure video is not checked because there's nothing there to be. Once it's done, you can hit Okay, and we could close the project. So we're back here. I'm just going to create a new project and go to Captions. Let's first bring in both of the audios and then continue. So I imported both of my audios right here. Pretty simple to do. I'm going to drag in the English police and then we'll put in the Russian one right next to it. Let's grab some media so that we're able to see the captions. I'll go in here and look for police again. Do this for the English police. And then let's find something else for the Russian one. I'm going to turn off snapping just so I could position this where I want it to be. Sir. And now I have two kind of side projects. We have the audio and then the footage. If you go to the Captions tab, you can use the generate Captions right over here. You just have to specify the language that it's speaking in, which for us is English, and you get to also do bilingual captions. So you have the English one and then maybe like Russian underneath. There's also features for AIE Mogis and other stuff. I'm just going to do the Russian one just because English is very straightforward, but it's here for you guys to try out both. So I'm going to select my Russian police audio and then choose let's see if they even have Russian. There we go. Choose Russian bilingual captions. I'll do, like, English. And that way, we could kind of see if it translated correctly. And since I'm doing the Russian one, I'll just delete the English, ping this in the middle, in the beginning and generate. So it's going to be from Russian to English. So you can see it generated this many text layers, and if I hit play, Sir Brostiavbtov, Vi Prava So you can see that it's correct the translations. We have both of these because we chose bilingual captions. If you only want one caption, you can just choose it right here, and that will remove the English below. Now, you can easily change the style of this text right on the right side panel, maybe change the font size. Font itself, if you want, very easy to maneuver here the color. So usually they do, like, a yellow just because it stands out, something like that. You can also give it a background just so that it's readable. And there we go. We now have two captions. One is translated, and one is the original. So that's how you get to use the AI translator and Captions feature within CapCut. You can see how handy this will be when you work with a lot of bilingual projects, and it was pretty easy to use. In the next chapter, we're going to build off of the captions and text, and that's going to be the whole focus for the entire chapter. So we're going to be exploring how we can manually create different types of text, whether it's a headline, whether it's like a caption, transitions or anything else. So I'll see you guys in the next chapter. 7. Adding Text & Titles: O Mm hm With titles and overlays, you can enhance the message in your video and make it more flashy and more eye catching. And with captions, you're adhering to people who may not be able to hear your video. You're allowing them to still understand that message. So this chapter is going to be all about titles, and later on, we're going to look at how we can add captions, as well, how we can use hook titles, et cetera. So we're back in CapCut, and I'm just going to grab a piece of media from the library just because we're more focused on the titles and not so much what we have going on here. So I'm going to grab this video of a horse, drag it in. And using the video tap on the right panel, I'm just going to scale it so that it fills the screen. Again, it doesn't really matter the dimension of the project because we're just going to put something in the background so we're able to see the titles. So there are tons of templates that you could use in the titles tab such as these guys. They're eye catching, they're very graphic, and you get to, you know, add a little fun to your videos. Just by dragging one of them in, dropping them on your timeline, and then this is what it looks like. So it even comes with an animation. If you wanted to change anything, you simply go to the right hand panel and type what you want, as well as make the other adjustments. Now, when it comes to templates, there are some additional things such as tracking and some animation. As you can see, the title kind of, you know, comes in with a bubble effect, and that is because of the key framing. We're going to get into animations later. But this is probably the simplest way to add a little bit more of a fun effect to your videos. The first type of text that we're going to talk about is titles, and you can think of those as texts that's a little bit bigger than normal. Instead of having a caption here, we have something that pretty much covers the center of the screen, and that's meant to grab the attention of your audience in the first few seconds. So if you've seen some commercials, sometimes there's, like, a text coming in, like, do you want to decrease your stress as a question? And then, of course, as the audience, you may say yes or no and continue engaging with that video. But we're going to focus on the manual text for this chapter because these are very straightforward. You just edit them as we saw. So I'm just going to go to add text, and we're going to drag our default text in. We're just going to customize this. So maybe, do you love horses? With Command or Control A, I could highlight the entire thing and just style it so that it's easier to see. So first, let's make it bigger. Then for the font, we have a lot of options. I'm just going to go through let's try this one. Adds a little bit of a rusty effect to it. Again, Command or Control A, and I'm going to work with, you know, the style of it. Maybe we'll do a little bit of a shadow, turn that on, lower the opacity. Once you have an effect applied, you don't need to have it highlighted. And then maybe we could work on the angle. So now you can see the shadow really helps make the text pop. I'm just going to do my adjustments, and let's try something else. Perhaps it's all in caps. Maybe I'll make this line italic. So you can save this as a preset. I'm not going to do that because it's a very simple text. But now, basically, this text is just going to pop in without any, you know, animation, and that may not be the best case for some of the videos. So what we're going to do is add in some animation. Go to make sure that I'm on the panel here and just go to animation. If you go to in, you're going to add or have the ability to add one of the templates that you can see. So you can see there's a bunch of cool stuff. That you can preview. Then I'll do this guy, so kind of, like, blurs in. You can also work around with the speed. So if you want to make it slower, you just increase the duration, and if you want it to be faster, you decrease it. I I'll make it around a second, just like that. Notice now on the title, there's a little white line. That's an indication that there is an animation until this point. You can do something outward as well. So you can see that now we have that other line, and just to match it, I'm going to make this 1 second, too. So it comes in and then it goes out. If I want the whole thing to be a little longer, I just extend the entire title. That's the most simple text that you can do. Just put in a title, add some animation. But what if you want your audience to do something such as maybe subscribe to the channel or order a product, you would need some more elements on there to kind of push the audience to do that action. So I'm just going to delete this skyme and we're going to construct our call to action page. You can think about the last website that you've been on. There's usually a text convincing you of the action or giving you an interesting fact, and then there's a button right underneath. So we're going to recreate that in video, and it's pretty easy to do. So I'm just going to grab another text and just drag it on. Let's put this turn this into a message. Get your horse today. Just a convincing message will do. And then we're going to change the font. The font should replicate the mood that your video has. So if I'm trying to make it like maybe adhere to people who want to take bold actions or be outdoors and explore themselves, that would call for a nice bold font like this sky. But of course, there's so many others that you can explore. So let's see what this is. That's okay. Just go to make it bigger. And for this one, I could use maybe a style. That's fun to use. Let's see, maybe this retro effect. And then we're gonna grab this and put it. I guess I'll put it down because the eye of the horse is up there. Next, we're going to either add a sticker or you could add in, like, image that you made yourself, but just look for a button. So there's a bunch of presets that you can drag in such as follow and other things. I will grab this click here option. Maybe I'll try to put it somewhere where I don't block the horse. Let's try to find something that matches the aesthetic. Okay, this one sort of matches the, you know, retro effect. I'm just gonna make it smaller and put it above the text. Now, when I hit play, they both just pop in. Again, we could add some animation to make it smoother. So grab the text animation, and I could just favor these so that I don't have to find them each time. Let's find something a little interesting like this guy. I'll apply this. You know, comes in like that for, let's say, another second, and I'm gonna leave it on the screen because it's a call to action. So we only need to worry about the beginning part. Then for this guy, I'm thinking we could do something that, like, pops in. Let's look through these via rotate. Let's try this. That looks fun. We have this guy. I think this is better. Let's make it bounce a little bit more. Perfect. And then I'll offset this so that the button comes in a little later than the text. And there we go. We have a very simple call to action. Adding text to your videos will make a huge difference, whether you're trying to sell something to that audience or just grab their attention. You can explore the many stickers and templates available in CapCut to make that engagement possible. Next lesson, we're going to look at captions. So you have the video, you have the voiceover, but how do you utilize the Auto Captions feature? And what do you do when there's mistakes? And how can you make that caption more customized? We're going to see all of the answers to that in the next lesson. 8. Auto Captions: Now let's look at another form of text, which is captions. So that's really easy to add on to any video. The first thing I'm going to do is basically generate a background video using AI inside CapCut. We looked at a bunch of the AI tools in the previous chapter, but I'm just going to revisit that because for the class project, we are going to be using AI and text. So in media, just go down to AI Media AI Image. You can also go to video, but I just want to do AI Image because I want to show you guys the AI dialogue scene, which is a really cool feature that CapCut has. Basically, we're going to create a static image of the person who's going to speak and then let CapCut turn it into a video and also give it a text that it could, you know, speak. Then we're going to add captions to that spoken voice. So inside AI image, let's describe the character. Let's say a middle aged man in black suit. Something like this, you could add a reference as well. I do have a reference, so I'm just going to upload that real quick. So I uploaded my reference. That's in the resource bag, and this is the prompt that I have so far. It's not that detailed, but I'm hoping the reference image can kind of say the things that I didn't overhear. So the model, you can choose whichever you want. I'm going to go for the latest one just because I want it to be very realistic. And I think I'll mention that here. Hyperrealistic. And highly detailed. You can choose the aspec ratio. I'll do maybe four by three, and then we're going to generate. So you can see the progress down here and we're going to get a few options. You can actually mention how many options you want. So maybe like ten images, two images. However, many, I think we're going to get more than one for sure. But let's see what the AI model comes up with. There we go. So this is pretty good. We have him in two situations. The other two got an error, but for me, this is more than enough. So it did use the character from the reference image. But now, I'm going to turn this static image into a talking man and then provide captions down here. So in the right hand side, we do have the option to turn this into video or just straight into AI dialogue scene. So I'm going to click on D dialog, and it's going to detect the characters. There's only one. But once we have that input over here, as you can see, we can now give it a text to speak or we could add an audio. So we're going to try both options just so you guys can see. The audio is also available in the resource pack. So I'm going to upload one right now. G of the world is not the topology that we ordinarily see. That is, we what we have here is evidence that. So that's the first audio, and then we have the second one. I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish. So I think I'll go with this one just because it's shorter, but you guys can decide what part of the audio you want in. So when you're done, you can hit safe, and we could also describe the scene if you want, but I think what we have is pretty okay. And once I'm ready, I could hit Generate. So I hit Generate and it took a while, but we have our new clip right above the original, and I'm just going to hide the one underneath because we don't really need it. So let's see what we got. I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish. If we were facing an alien threat from outside this world. So as you can see, that's very detailed, and I love how it kind of replicated the breathing as well. So we have the subject just starting out like this. But you can see here that he's taking a deep breath, and that's because the original audio has that same thing. Quickly, I so that's a really cool thing. Our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing And near the end, we can see that he kind of gets, you know, excited about it, and everything else is pretty good. You can see the smoke from the cigar is very consistent as well. And overall, it's a very quick and cool effect that you can use. So we have our video that we made from a AIimage. We use the dialog scene. Now let's add some captions. I'll just keep the one at the bottom. If you want, you could regenerate this or even change your prompt. But for me, this is pretty good. So I'm just going to go over to Captions now and do the Auto Captions. So this is in English. I go to find that. And I'll have bilingual captions set to none. And there's this feature where you get to highlight the keywords. So that's another AI tool that's being used here. It's going to look at your script and maybe make it bolder or make it bigger. We'll see what that looks like. So let's make sure we have this selected and not the image and just generate. We have a bunch of these. Let's see how it worked with those highlighted words. I occasionally thinks. I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world. So the AI determined those two things to be the keywords. If you feel like those are not the keywords, you can just go into the caption and make your changes yourself. So maybe you don't want to highlight outside. You can turn it white like the one here. Look at what we got here. It's so seven point color white system. So we just bring this down to seven. Oops, grab the whole thing, bring it down to seven, and turn the color into white. And that's how you can, you know, unhighlight a word. But I'm just going to leave it as it was because it was nice the way it was done. And then maybe I would highlight the alien threat. So I'll hit Inter here and just fix a few of the mistakes. So let's see. I think it used this yellow, and the size was nine. Let me just make sure here so which yellow is this? I'll just copy the code so I don't have to worry too much. And I believe it has, it has a thickness for the stroke. I'll just replicate that. Highlight this. I think we have the same yellow. Oh, wait, no, we didn't just paste that in, hit Enter, and then last thing is to go down to stroke, turn it to 30. And now it's identical to the other text. So that's how easily you can make captions. We also use some of the AI tools. There's so many things that you guys can do add emojis in there if you want. Again, it's going to look at the text that's in the video and determine which emoji goes best with it. There's also another thing called AI packaging. So this is going to create multiple things for you. So it's going to generate captions, highlighted keywords like we have right now, and an additional sound effect to the video. So let's say you want to present something for social media. You don't want to go over all the tabs. You could just use this option. It's not going to work with this footage because it can't detect the speech for some reason. But let's say you have a video of yourself talking. It doesn't have any caption. It's not as interesting. You can just have CapCut make it more engaging by adding the following. But, yeah, that's pretty much how you could add some captions, and also we learned about this AI tool, which was pretty cool. In the next chapter, we're going to work on our class project, which will be a combination of the AI tools, the text, and some fundamental video editing processes. And we're going to start the project from scratch so you guys can follow along and basically put theory into implement theories, basically, and just practice and see what you guys come up with. So now let's go ahead and move on to our AI assisted video project. 9. AI-Assisted Short Video: Brainstorming & Script: For this class project, we're going to be using AI tools to generate a video from scratch. We're going to first start with brainstorming the concept. What is the video going to be about? What sort of dialogue we want in there? What's the scenes, et cetera? And then we're going to apply those in CapCut using the tools that we know how to use. So first of all, we have to go to AI Video Maker and utilize their script so this is AI Video Maker. I'm going to head over to brainstorm with AI because we have the idea, but we're not exactly sure what should be on the screen, who's involved in the video? Is there like two people in the video, one person? Is it just a narration? And we can figure all of that out with brainstorming. So in this box, just put the idea that you have. For me, it will be interesting facts about trees. That's it. We're going to let this go. And now it's going to generate some topics that I could consider. Here we go. I got a bunch of these. I could generate some more. But this is basically my idea, and these are some, you know, engaging clips that I could make. So we have hidden wonders, beyond the leaves, something like this. So I'm also thinking about the thumbnail. So this guy will have, like, maybe a sort of a click Baty thumbnail. But I think I will go with the second one. If you don't like any of the options, you can generate some more, but I'm just going to click on this guy and explore it further. So we started here, and now we're on to the next stage. You can hold down the space bar to drag this to the other side. And you can also write down some key points that you want in the script. But I'm going to first start with the depth. So let's see. So let me just put these side by side. So I think I will go with this guy. You can also pick this, pick this as it is, or explore this where it's going to give you another box. But if you don't want to go into depth that much, you can also just click on little the droppin and that's going to put it right over here. But, you know, you have the option to continue expanding from that idea until you get to something you're really happy with. So in key points, we now have that topic that we chose, but you also have the option to put in information that you want to make sure is there. For example, regarding trees, if I really want to talk about an oak tree, I could mention it right over here. So the script is going to have this topic and that oak tree. So I'm just going to write oak tree. Just as a key point, and then we can generate the script. Let's decide on how long we want this video to be. I'll say for 1 minute, and then you can put even more requirements. Let's see. I think I'll just leave it empty for now, but the oak tree is something that we can look out for when it's done with the script. So let's hit Generate, and it's going to generate the script for us. So as you can see, we went from an idea. We brainstormed a little bit with the depth one and depth two, and then we made our script. What you can do is recreate the script. If you change your mind about the duration or the requirements, you get to put something in here and then hit Create one more time. But over here is all of the stuff that CapCut made for us. And from each of these lines, we have the option to have a voiceover. Or we could add a visual to it. So that really depends on you. You could, of course, import all of your own videos and just, like, match it or you could use the AI Video Maker to make some clips for you. That's something you can decide on. But if you change your mind about a line, you can delete it, of course, and like I said, regenerate if you changed if you want to change something. You can also change the order, like so. But I'm just going to create a visual for all four of these lines just in case I couldn't find a video, a real video that would be suitable for this script. That's what we're going to focus on in the next lesson. So this was just about the idea and the script. Now that we have that and I'm happy with it, I'm going to move on to the visuals. So we're going to generate all four of these. And I also have some real clips in the resource pack that we're also going to use. So it's going to be a combination of AI and, I guess, reality, and we can see what we could come up with that. So let's move on to the next lesson. 10. Visuals and Audio: Mm hmm. Okay, so we're back here. We made our script. Let's go ahead and start with the first line. I'm just going to click on this box, and we're going to generate AI Media. Now, you could do this for one at a time, or you could do it for everyone for all the scenes. I'm going to do it for a singular one just so I could show you the difference. So I just clicked on this and you can see immediately it's coming up with a prompt that will lead to a proper visual for this line. So I didn't have to write in a prompt at all, as you saw, and that's what's really interesting. So let's see what sort of visual we get. So this is taking longer than usual. I'm just going to hit Cancel, and we could just generate our own videos inside CapCut. At the same time, you have the option to attach a media yourself or look for stock media from here. So if you click on this, let's look for trees. I'll like, choose this one. I done. And now we get to decide what part of the video we want, then hit done. So now there is a clip attached to this line. And maybe for this guy, we could upload one of the clips that I have for you in the resource pack. So let's upload something. All right. Then we can select it done. There's the second one. And then for the third one, I'm going to try again to get the AI video to work. So you can also access your AI clips from here. It depends if you want to write a prompt or not. Then we'll just stick to this guy. I'll do realistic film just because we have actual videos in the back. And let's say, let me see what the script was. Okay, so maybe we'll do a prompt of a very tall tree. So slow zoom slow pan into the base of a very large tree with beautiful green leaves. Something like that. Choose your style, hit generate. Okay. So we have the following. I will choose this guy. Add to sine, hit X. So that's 3 seconds long, but gonna extend it to at least 15. Okay. And this guy is five. Maybe Okay, so that's the original duration. But if you see that it's too short, just make sure that, you know, you're not cutting anything out. Okay, for the last one, I'm just going to I think I'll leave it empty just so we could make something within CapCut with the stickers because it's just saying subscribe and join us. So we could probably do something with, like, a solid background color. Alright, so I have four scenes. We have three visuals and one is left empty. Now the next thing is to put in some voiceovers. You could do this separately or apply it to the entire thing. Like, if you want to have different people say different lines, but I'll try to keep it, you know, very similar. So first, let's see. Go for English narration. Let's hear what they sound like. Welcome to creating voiceovers. Welcome to creating Welcome to Welcome to creating Voiceovers. Welcome to creating Voiceovers. So I think I'll go with this guy just because we're talking about, like ancient trees, history, and that sort of thing. So let's click on this guy, and you have some additional options regarding speed. So if you gave this a listen and you think that the tone is good, but it's a little bit too fast or slow, you can just change it with this slider. You can also favor this so that you can come to it immediately. And once you're done, you can apply it to all of the scenes. And it's basically text to speech because we have the text already, and you can see that it's being formed as we speak. Now that these are done, we kind of have our video forming nicely. Have you ever looked at a giant tree in Wunder? Just how old is it? We often think of ancient pyramids or monuments. So it sort of split up our big chunk of text, and that's actually a good thing because now you get to switch things up. And if you want to reuse one of the altar clips, clips, you can also do that. So let's say this guy I want it to be something different. Let me just upload the other two videos as well. So all three of these clips that I uploaded, they are in the resource bag. Alright, so I'll choose this guy. Hit done. Maybe just the beginning. And then, I'll just scroll down to somewhere here. I will reuse my video. So this guy hit again, hit done, and this time, I'll use the end. So you are able to reuse something just like that. I'll just continue filling these in. Let's do stock media for most of these. Look for trees. So I'm going to leave these two lines separate and empty. And then this guy is talking about planet. So let's put planet in the search bar. There's no planet, but, um, I could pick something else. Let's try Earth. So this is what comes up for Earth. I'll just choose something like that. You can also download clips from the outside and import them. But I'll just continue filling in my scenes like this. So we have everything filled in, except for the last two, and that's on purpose. But now we get to pair this up with some elements such as text and music. But I'm going to leave that for our, when we import this back into CapCut because I feel like we have more control over there. You can see that it gave us Auto Captions, and that's pretty cool, but now we're just going to continue this inside CapCut. So click on Edits More and it's going to load the project just like that. So we have the text, which is the captions. We could edit it on the right panel. We have all the clips. These two were left empty on purpose, and, of course, text to speech. So we're going to stop here for this lesson. We have everything we need regarding the foundation of the video. But in the next lesson, we're going to work on color grading, adding some music, and putting in something for these two scenes. So let's see how we can continue our project. 11. Transitions and Elements: So we're back in our project, and the first thing that I'm going to do is give our text some styles because it's pretty hard to read for this scene. I'm just going to grab all of them. Like that, click and drag. And then in text, you're able to either use a template or use the basic manual adjustments. So the font size is good. I think I will do something with the color. So let's go here. Okay, I think that's pretty easy to read now. If you want, you can also put in a background and maybe keep it as it was with white. It's up to you, really, and I'll just remove the stroke. So you have the option to do both. I think I'll actually leave it like this. So the captions are ready, and one thing that I forgot to point to is the little key point that we kept in the script. So we put in oak trees, and it actually ended up being in our script. So here, oak tree. That's how you can make sure something is being spoken about in your script. Okay. So we have those ready. For the last two scenes, let's create a screen, a very simple one. I'm going to begin by putting in some stickers because we have a black background over here. I don't really need to put in a background, but you could generate an animation or import your own. What I'm going to do instead is go to stickers and try to match what the script is saying. So, for example, subscribe. I'll just type that in. And I get the stickers. Put that right above. Transform it. Subscribe for more incredible Nature facts. And let's add an animation, a loop. Like a heartbeat, maybe. Subscribe. For more It's a little fast. Make it slower. Subscribe. For Subscribe. For more incredible nature facts. Okay. Just meet this for now. It's the second one. For the first one, we could add something from the background section in library, media library background. There's a bunch of videos that you could use. So maybe I'll do something with birds. Put that right over here. Trim it. Join us as we uncover these amazing stories. Subscribe for more incredible Nature fact. Join us as we uncover these amazing. I do want to add some effects to this video just so that we could kind of hint towards the video ending. So let the video, go to effects. And I'm gonna look for blur. There's multiple blurs, but maybe this guy drop that on, and now we have something like that. On join us as we uncover these. Okay. We have the caption, but I'm also gonna put in maybe the name of the channel. Let's say this was for YouTube. Let's go over to a template. Trying to find something that can match the vibe of the clip. Let's go down here for title. That's definitely what I'm looking for. I'll go with this guy. Drop that above, make sure it matches the duration of the video, and we could, you know, put the name of our channel. So over here, we can do, let's say, fun fun facts. Let's say that's the name of my channel. Like, tree group, something like that. And we could click away and just kind of scale this down or up depending on what you're looking for. Definitely a little larger than the caption. Okay? And we already have the animation from the top. Join us as we uncover these amazing stories. Subscribe. As for the sticker, gonna go in for an in loop. We could do a reveal, maybe. Subscribe. Then do one out. Let's see how that works. Subscribe for more incredible nature facts. Okay. That's fine. So now we have the two final screens sorted out. We could add some transitions in between these clips. So let's go to transitions. And I'm going to look for very classic ones just because it's an informational educational clip. So you can just choose whichever you prefer. So blurry is a good one. I'll just put that in between, drop it in. We have a split screen. I'm going to randomly drop these so that it's less predictable. Okay, let's remove that. I will put that in the screen where the video comes to an end. Re unfold. Very simple. But even that Transit. Our planet. Our planet is full of life. Oh, sorry, this is the wrong one. Dolly that. It's between these two. Defies our sense of time. Join us as we uncover these amazing stories. Something of that sort. I'm gonna look for fade. Maybe drop one more over there. Beyond the leaves, where we exploring. So you can go with as many or as little transitions as you want. But it's looking pretty good so far. Alright, so now we're just gonna go ahead and add some music just to make this a little bit more engaging. Go to audio and maybe we can find a, you know, chill music. Let's go with peace. I'm gonna see what the voiceover sounds like first. I things take the mighty oak tree, for instance, some of these can live. So I would say maybe a piano could work, something that's a little bit mysterious at the same time. So, I'll go with this guy, drop that in, and then we could, you know, hear what that sounds like. For over 1,000 years, witnessing centuries Lower the volume as you see fit. History unfold, but even that's just a starting point. There are bristlecone pines in California that have then I'll do a fade in, and I don't think we need a fade out. Actually, if you zoom in, I don't think we need a fade in, either. Have you ever looked? Yeah, okay. So we don't need those? And then, let's select both. Giant tree in wondered. Just how old is it? We often think of ancient Have you ever looked at a giant tree? Okay. Go before that. So we have our audio and everything is looking pretty good. So far, I'm just going to check the last scene. Sense of time. Join us as we uncover these amazing. I think this transition is not working that well. Time. Join us as we uncover these amazing. Then we could have this guy delay a little. Join us as we uncover these amazing stories. Subscribe from And I'll remove the captions for the last two. Just so that it's not distracting us from the logo and the sticker. Oh us as we uncover. So that's our video. Now we're going to just export it and then work on our thumbnail. So if this is going to go to YouTube or something, we're going to need a thumbnail for it. And instead of having a, you know, snapshot like this, we could have something more decent. So first, let's export it. So when we hit Export, you can see that we're able to edit the cover, and we could create it right over here. So this is going to go to cover design, and that's what we're going to focus on in the next lesson. 12. Export and Thumbnail: Alright, welcome back. This is where we left off. We're just going to describe what sort of cover we want for our tree clip. And there's a chatbot right over here. I could describe what I want to be there, probably some trees. But we could also look at some of the templates. So if you go to Vlog, there's not a lot of trees, but that's okay. I'm just going to talk to the chatbot. Make a thumbnail. For a video about trees include big trees. There's the background. If you don't like it, you can do another one. I'll just keep it like this. And now we could put in some text. I will look through these templates. And, I forget what the our series was called. Was it beyond the trees or something? Beyond the trees. Let's actually change that text. Oops. Click on that first. Let's give this a different look. And there was more adjustments. This is fun. I'll do this guy, put it right in the middle, and then we could do a subtext, as well. Fact you did not know. And then we could style this with the same tools. Let's make it smaller. And I'll do italic, maybe a little smaller. Okay. And then I'll just position it with some spacing. And yeah, so this is my thumbnail. You guys can go in and try something different. You can see that we're able to do pages, so you can have multiple thumbnails, work on them, and then finally decide which one you want to keep. We also have some shapes here, so I'm just going to use the line to make this a little fancy, drag the edges, put it right in the middle. You can use your arrow keys to make very subtle movements, and I will make this white or let's try yellow. Actually, let's do green, just so that it's not the same as the top color and the bottom color. I'll just position these with the arrow keys, and you can grab the whole thing except the background, and then position all of them towards the center until you see that cross. Alright. When you're done, hit safe, and that's going to be applied to that video. So now we have a cover. And if you want, you could add it for a few seconds at the beginning. I'm not going to do that. Everything else is pretty good. Definitely want to have the audio and then hit the Export button. So it's currently generating a nine by 16 Tik Tok video size, so you kind of have both options. You can again export this directly onto these two platforms, sign in, put in the information so that it goes to your TikTok or YouTube account in one click. You can change the visibility, then YouTube has its own parameters. You can also check the folder location down here, share this with, like, a link or another platform, if you want. But I'm just going to hit Cancel. I don't really want the Tik Tok version. But if you wanted, you could just see how that looks. So now you can see cover has our design. You can also delete this and design your covers in Canva or Photoshop and just upload it in. But this way, we're doing everything within CapCut. So I noticed that our title was beyond the leaves and beyond the trees. Kind of made a mistake there. But you could edit the cover directly. So just click on Edit, and I'll just change this to leaves. Now we can save this in a few seconds. It will be updated. Have you ever looked at a giant tree and wondered? Just how old is it? We often think of ancient pyramids or monuments as the oldest things on Earth, but the real champions of longevity are living right beside us. Welcome to Beyond the Leaves, where we explore incredible discoveries about our planet's oldest living things. Take the mighty oak tree, for instance. Some of these can live for over 1,000 years, witnessing centuries of history unfold, but even that's just a starting point. There are bristle cone pines in California that have been alive for nearly 5,000 years. Imagine they were seedlings when the pyramids were being built. From clonal colonies of aspen trees that share a single root system spanning millennia to deep sea corals that have silently grown for thousands of years. Our planet is full of life that defies our sense of time. Join us as we uncover these amazing stories. Subscribe for more incredible nature facts. So that concludes our class project. As you saw, we started with an idea, and then we made our script. We brainstormed with CapCut. We generated some of the clips with AI. Some of them were just imported. And, of course, we got this very cool voiceover effect, as well as some automated captions. So I hope you guys were able to follow along and come up with a clip like this. Make sure that you are happy with the placement of your transitions, your captions. If you want to switch out any of the videos, remember that you could import it right here or make more AI media. Right inside CapCut. You don't need to go back to the previous screen. You can now, share this on a social media platform or just export it. So keep on practicing with projects like this. It really helps when you explore as many tools as you can on CapCut. They really put everything available for you, whether it's brainstorming, writing something, voice, editing, and putting in some additional elements. So keep on practicing and see what you can come up with. 13. Mobile Interface & Workflow: So we're going to learn a little bit more about the CapCut Mobile version, which is another way that you can quickly and effectively edit your videos. So if you don't have your laptop nearby, CapCut has the exact same features more condensed into their application. And it's free to download on the app store. So I have it open right here, and this is the first page that you're going to see. As you can see, we have the exact same AI features, and we're able to make our project right over there. I'll just give you a quick overview of the differences and, you know, where everything is. And then in the next couple of lessons, we're going to go deeper into how to do certain things. So this right here, this page is called the Edit page, and you can see in the bottom left corner that the icon. So in the desktop version, that's the homepage, here it's the edit page. The edit page, you can immediately start a project, look through your old ones, and quickly access the different tools right over here. So we have Auto cut. So if you put a really long recording, this will automatically cut out the pauses or any sort of glitches that you may have. There's retouch, there's AI Storymker which is similar to what we did in Chapter two, where we had the AI dialogue scene. So it's that sort of thing. We have Auto Captions, AI generator. This is video images and voice. Then we have photo editor. Then we can go into all tools and look at the many other things that CapCut Mobile has available. So these features, most of them are on the desktop version, but a lot of them are not, and that's because they're made for mobile purposes. So it's just very simple to use. You put in your video, maybe click a few things, and then it'll give you the final result. So I'm going to just get out of there. And when you click on New Project, you're going to be prompted to import your footage from your mobile photo library. The search baar on the top right allows you to search for an effect or a video. Let's say I want to see what people are doing regarding golf. Just look for golf here. And I'm going to get a bunch of edits based on golf. Maybe I could use this for inspiration or maybe I could remix one of the things. So let's say if I really like this guy, I have the option to use the template. So the template is regarding the split screen, the title on the screen, perhaps like the speed as well. When you click on use Template, you're going to be again prompted to import your footage, and that's all you're really doing. So the templates already there, all the transitions, all the titles, you're just putting in your clips. Let's go back. The next thing on the bottom menu is the templates. So this right here is everything that's trending and basically things that you can quickly adapt for your own. So if you really like these transitions, the sort of like fonts, you could just click on that. And the little bar that's moving above the use template, that just shows you how long each of the clips are and how many clips are in this footage. And yeah, you could go through each of the categories. So maybe daily life. You can look for AI effects if that's something you want to explore. Marketing. Again, if you want to do something for Valentine's Day, New Year, you can just look through the categories. The next menu item is AI Lab. So this is similar to the desktop version. It's just the layout that's different. The AI generator, if you click on it, you can see all the different things that you can do. And we're already familiar with them on the Dktop. So it's pretty much the same idea. If I go to AI Image, I'll just describe what I want, maybe put in a reference image and just hit Generate. So the inbox is regarding messages for your account. Like if you renew subscription, if you got a new like or something, that's where you're going to be notified, and your profile tells you the plan that you're currently on your username and all that other stuff. So as you can see, it's not that different. It's just like the placement is a little off, but it's pretty much what we have on D Dektop. In the next lesson, we're going to look into some of the features inside here and maybe try editing a couple videos so that you guys are able to practice and get a better idea. When should you use the mobile version, and when should you use the Dktop version? I would say you would want to have both at hand because sometimes you have a very long video that you want to try cinematic styles. That's when you would go for the Dktop version. But other times you have a very simple recording on your phone and you just want to make it pop a little. So over there, you just upload your video to CapCut Mobile, let it do its thing maybe via template or AutoCut and then upload it to your social media platform. It's handy to have both of them, but I would say the mobile is a lot faster and a lot more suitable for social media platforms. So now that we know the differences and a general overview of the mobile version, let's go ahead and look into some of the effects. 14. Filters & Quick Styles: So let's dive in and see how we could edit a video out of some clips. So the clips that I'm going to be using in this lesson are in the resource pack. So go ahead and download them, and we're going to import them into our new project. So when you click on New Project, which is right over there, it's going to ask you to import things. So that's what I'm going to do, and then I'll be right back. So I imported six clips. You guys should have access to that, as well. And notice how they're all different orientations. So we have horizontal clips and vertical clips. And usually, if you want to do it manually, which is what we're doing right now, you would have to resize your project, either, you know, do it horizontal and perhaps zoom into the vertical ones or keep it the way it is with the black bars or make it vertical so that you don't have to zoom in on the vertical shot. Just going to go back. I wanted to show you guys the different orientations, but we're going to actually use the Auto cut feature, which is the first one right below new project. So when I click on that, it's still going to ask me to select the clips. So I'm just going to grab them again, and then we could have CapCut do all the resizing for us. So there we go. It's going to upload the media, and it's going to basically choose the highlights of each clip. One of the clips is rather long. So this is something that it did basically, it will give you a bunch of templates that's going to be suitable for the videos that you have. So my selection of clips were like landscape videos. I think there's a horse. There is butterflies and that sort of thing. So CapCut went through each of the clips and took out the highlighted bits. I'm just going to go through each of these templates and see which one I prefer the most. So you can see those are all my videos, and CapCut just made it more interesting. I could scroll through here. Worry too much about the glitching. It's sort of downloading the template at the same time. So I'm going to choose this one just because it fits with all the videos that I have. But I did end up selecting a wrong clip that should not be in this montage. So just click on Edit, and it will take you to the project itself. So I can look at it second by second. I could replace the video that I don't like. Yeah, it's going to take a while to show you the preview, but I think it's this guy. So this video should not be here. I'm just going to hit Replace and choose another video. Okay, I could continue going through my, you know, timeline. If I don't like anything else, I could remove it. If you click on each of these boxes, you're able to adjust the, you know, color grading, the volume, and all sorts of things. So when I click on adjust, that's going to be regarding the color grading. So we can see right here we have all sorts of adjustments where we can do things for brightness. I'll just click on it first, make it darker, brighter, maybe work with the exposure. And I could hit Apply to A, and you can see all the clips are going to be brighter. And let me just undo that with the undo on the right side of the screen. Remove exposure and turn everything back to what it was. When you're done, you can hit the checkmark, and you can add other stuff such as text. So if you hit on the T on the bottom right, you can hit the plus, then put in something fun. Maybe so much fun. Hit the checkmark. Now I could add a different font or color and customize this as I want. Click on that. And then we're just going to look at it from the beginning. If you don't want it to be there the whole time, you can click on it once, and then there's the set duration on the bottom. So maybe it could only be on the screen for until this frame butterfly. Hit the checkmark, and now it's only going to be at the beginning. There we go. Next, we can work with audio. Now, CapCut has a lot of audios that you could use. You can also extract audio from a video that you have or add your own music, but, of course, be aware of the copyright. So I cannot really play any of these in case it does get copyrighted, but you could just click on Adsund and, you know, we can see all the different categories at the top. Like sad music. And then, of course, there's the trending audios over here. You can look through those. Like I mentioned, you can extract audio from a video, upload it yourself, from iTunes or from your device. You can link this to your TikTok account. If you saved an audio there, you can use it here, and then we have favorite sounds as well. If you go on commercial, you're able to use these for free. There's so many different variations. Again, at the top, we have the different categories. So you can look through and see which one you prefer. And then I'm just going to go back you can add more text by clicking on the plus, but I'm just going to go back to my original project. And now that I have everything ready, I could hit Export on the top, right. So you can save this to your device with the CapCut watermark because I use some of the pro features, but you can also share it directly to your TikTok account. So I'm just going to click on that. It's going to take a few seconds, depends on how long your video is. You could also pay to remove the CapCut watermark. The only reason it's there it's because we use one of their templates. If you did this from scratch, you don't really need to have that on your clips. Alright, so it exported. I could share it directly to these platforms. And if you click on other, you can drop it share it with AirDrop, send it via e message, and that sort of thing. And you can just go back to the home screen by clicking the little home icon. We can see now that the project is saved. At the bottom of the project, you're able to rename it, duplicate it, delete it, or even share the project with other people. So that's how you can quickly add some styles and save yourself time by utilizing one of the CapCut templates. In the next lesson, we're going to look at something very specific that you may want to use if you plan on putting things on social media, and that is removing backgrounds. It's very simple within CapCut Mobile, and we're going to go and learn all about it in the next lesson. 15. Background Removal: Let's see how we could remove the background and do a very simple text behind subject effect. Let's start a new project, and I'm going to import the video that we used in the previous lesson of the Women Walking Forward, and we're just going to use that clip for the lesson. So it's this clip right here. Going to hit Add, and now we have it isolated in a project. Let's click on the ending here and remove it. The delete button is right at the bottom. So just click on that. And now we only have this video. So first, let's go ahead and add some text, which is going to go behind our subject. On the timeline, you can see that we have adtext. That's what I'm going to click. Then on the bottom left, we have Adtext. That's what I'm going to do. And then we could just dab a click and give this a title such as background. Removal. Once I'm done, I'm going to go to fonts and styles and just, you know, make this more appealing. So let's go for bold in the categories, and I'll go for maybe this guy, Rubik, go to style and just increase the size. And I will do let's go to the spacing, and I'll do it left aligned. Let's see. I think I'll add a few more text. So background removal with cap cuts, mobile. And then I'll position it somewhere decent. Okay. Because in the video, the subject does walk away. So we want to make sure that, you know, people are able to read your text. When you're done, you can give it some color. So I'll go here. Let's try oops, one of these. Give this a color. I'll do this yellow just because it stands out. Then we can hit the checkmark, and I'll extend the text so that it lasts for the entire video. So grab the right side and just expand it. So now it's going to be there the whole time. Once we have our text and our base video, we're going to have to bring in the original clip as an overlay. So without selecting anything, I'm going to click on Olay at the bottom, and then you're going to click on Add Olay, and that's going to ask you to import something. So just import the same video. So just grab the same footage and click Add, and now we have it underneath our base video. Just click and hold it so that it starts and ends at the exact same time. That's very important. Now we can click on our bottom layer, which is the overlay, and we're going to go all the way towards the right until you see layers. So when you click on that, we can see that we have the overlay and the text. So simply click and hold overlay, tap and hold, and bring it before the text. So now instantly the text goes behind our subject. Click the checkmark and make sure that when you're playing your video that the subject does not jump around. So everything should look normal. If for some reason you experience something like this, let's say by accident this was moved, you can kind of see that, there's two subjects. If that is the case for you, just click on the overlay layer and make sure that it's the same size and it starts and ends at the exact same time as your base video. So if there's any sort of offsetting, that will result in the, you know, duplication of your subject. And there we go. We now have this effect that we did with a few tabs. You can still make changes to your text. I'm going to move mine a little higher just so that we are able to read the CapCut. And when you're done, we can click on Export and get ourself another effect. So that's how you can remove backgrounds and do this very simple effect, which you've probably seen on social media platforms. In the next lesson, we're going to look over speed ramping and beat sinking. So that's going to be another simple effect that you can do. But essentially, we're going to be manipulating the time and speed rather than the layers like we did in this lesson. So let's go ahead and see how we can do that. 16. Speed Edits & Trend Effects: M. So let's go ahead and do our final effect, which is regarding speed manipulation. So we're going to use one of the videos from Lesson one, and I'm going to create a new project. So I'm talking about this video right here. The reason why I'm choosing this is because the camera moves around the subject, and these sorts of recordings are perfect for speed ramping because you can create a lot of excitement by maybe matching the camera movement to the music or using some speed ramping to make the video less static. And by static, I mean that it currently moves with one speed the entire time. It's sort of slow motion as well. It's also a little bit slowed down, as you can see. And if you think about it, it's currently on a flat line. And this could work for certain projects, but for social media, you want to make it very fun and very engaging. So click Add, and we have this in a new project. So I will just grab the video right here. And down below, you can see speed. So click on speed, and we have three different things. The first one is normal. So the normal setting is only going to be this line where you get to, you know, speed up or slow down, like so. But that's not what we're going to do here. I'm going to click away. We're going to just oops, let's undo our speed change. Go to speed, and we're going to work with the curve. Which is basically speed ramping. So it's in the name we're dealing with ramps, and there are some presets for you to use. Let's go with this guy. And just to quickly tell you what these curves mean, we have our line in the middle. That's the one time speed, which is the regular speed. When it goes up, that's going to be sped up, and when it goes down that middle line, it's going to be slowed down. So in the first template, the montage one, you can see that it's normal. It goes up at a curve, and then it kind of falls down to a slow motion. And the smoother these curves are, the smoother these transitions are going to be from fast to slow, slow to fast. Let's take a look at bullet because that's a very good example. We can see that everything is fast, and then at some point, it's going to drop to a slow motion, stay that way, and then make its way back to, you know, regular speed. There we go. So that right there is an example of speed ramping. Just going to remove the ending here.'s click away. Okay. So let's undo that speed template, hit none, and we're going to customize our own. So when you click on Custom and click on it again, you're going to get the graph yourself. So now you get to decide where you want things to be sped up, how long you want that transition to be, and just make your own speed ramping. So I'm just going to take a look. Let's reset on the bottom left. And find out where I want things to slow down. So right over here, I want everything to be normal but slow down as we're approaching the subject. So right over here, I'm going to click on at beat on the right side, and I'm going to make the first bit fast. So it's going to be like that. And then it's going to go back to the original speed. But I think I'll do delete the beat and have it come by somewhere a little later. So let's play the video. We're approaching the subject, and I'll do it like here. So add a beat like so, and we're going to speed this up and then slow down this part. I'll add another beat in between and basically keep the speed, which I set it to three times for a while before we slow down like that. Alright, let's make this a little bit slower and then go around and see what we want to do. So it's slowed down here. Maybe at this point, it's going to be fast. So I'm just going to make a beach here, drag this up, and then have it fast forward until here, maybe. And then I'll just bring it down to regular speed. So this is an example. Let's see what it looks like. Okay. So I think around here, we should do another slow mo, maybe somewhere like that when she's turning add another beat, add one in the middle and just bring that down by a lot. So there's some time for that transition. There we go. So it's just like a sudden slow motion. And I'm going to rework the beats in the first half. So I think I'll have it slow down over here, and I want the drop to be a lot more dramatic. So the less space you have between beats, the faster that drop rise is going to be. So you can just play around with this and see what works best for you. I'll do another beat here and just keep it slow motion for a while. Maybe we can do another drop here just for fun. Then maybe slow down the whole video near the end. The m. There we go. Now we have used speed ramping to make the changes, just like that. I'm going to hit the check mark on the bottom right and then the checkmark again. So now the speed ramping has been applied. You can see on the video it says custom that's regarding the changes that we just made. Let me just zoom out of my timeline, and now we could add some music just to make this more fun. I'll go to add audio and let's see, we can go to sound or maybe AI music just so we don't deal with copyright. I'll do like sports, maybe. Generates. So I'll just go with the second one. We can hit D plus. Now, you could leave it like this, but you could also match your video to the beats of the music. So with the audio selected on the bottom, there's this flag that says beats. Click on that, and you can auto generate the beats. So it's going to add the beats. And those are basically indications of where let me make this lighter. I'm going to add perhaps The text. Let's do something fun. I think we do have a sports section. I think I'll do summer. And now I'll just leave what it is and make it a little bit smaller. So now I just have to match the text to the beat, and you can see that it's perfect. So we have a bunch of other beats that you could add stuff to, maybe some stickers, a logo, whatever you want to put in. The beats just make it easier for you to know where you could put that element. Alright. So we took the original video, which was just a slow pan of the subject, and we turned it into something a little bit more exciting using beat syncing and speed ramping. Now, you can apply this to any other clip that you want, and you could also utilize some of the templates for speed ramping if you don't want to make your own graphs. Now that we know how to use the CapCut Mobile for some advanced effects, you now have both options to utilize for your next project. Whether it's Dextop or mobile, there's tons of templates for you to use. And if you want to do things manually, you now have the knowledge and the tools. And that concludes our CapCut Mobile chapter. 17. Where to Next: So now you know how to use CapCut Mobile and CapCut Desktop in a more advanced way. The next step for you is to continue practicing and using the tools that we looked at. There's so many updates coming in regarding the AI feature and the tools that are available. So make sure you're constantly updating and trying new things and see where that takes you. I hope you guys enjoy this course, and I can't wait to see you guys in our next. 18. Class Project: Create an AI-Assisted Short-Form Video: Now it's your turn. For the class project, you're going to be creating a short video using CapCuts AI tools and editing workflows. Let's break down the project into some clear steps. First, brainstorm your idea and come up with a script. This could be a tutorial, a short story, an interesting fact video, or any other content that you want. Next, gather or generate your own videos and audio. This could be done with your own camera, with CapCuts AI features, stock footage, or any other place that you want to grab those media from. Then edit your video using the techniques learned from class. Can add transitions, some text, some video effects, and anything else that you could think of. Finally, export your video and come up with a thumbnail that's appropriate for Instagram reels, Tik Tok, or YouTube. When you're done, you can upload your video or just screenshots of it to the class project gallery. You can leave a note explaining your concepts or any sort of challenges that you encountered. I will be reviewing the project and will provide you with some feedback. You can also see how the other students approach CapCut and came up with their own video. So good luck with the project, and I can't wait to see what you guys come up. 19. Congratulations! What’s Next?: Congratulations on completing the class. You have now explored CapCuts intermediate tools, such as AI powered editing, captions, mobile workflows, and a complete project using artificial intelligence from the idea to the final export. These tools can dramatically speed up your editing and at the same time, make your videos more engaging and more polished. From here, the best way to improve is to continue making content. You can try a different technique, a different style, a different format, and see how you can elevate that work. In the advanced CapCut course, we're going to go deeper into storytelling, Visual Effects, and other professional techniques. If you have not uploaded your class project, you can go ahead and do that now so that I could give you some feedback. Thank you for taking this course, and I hope to see you guys in our next one.
