1. Welcome To The Class!: The Youtube Algorithm. Just when you think know it all. Youtube shocks you
with a hidden metric that alter you understanding of what a good youtube video is just when you think your video is the best
version of itself. youtube slaps you in the
face with your video being the worst performing
video you ever made. Just when you are
proud of your videos, Youtube thinks that
you are nowhere near enough. The youtube algorithm is basically
the journey of my life. I've been making content on
youtube for eight years. I made like ten different
youtube channels, and boosted like 600 videos
throughout those eight years, I made lots of
mistakes on youtube. Mistakes that led me to put
everything I know about the youtube algorithms and package it
in this one skill share class, a class where I blast you with everything
you need to know to make it on youtube in
the shortest time possible. This class covers
two specific points. How the youtube
Algorithm works? And the steps needed to make the youtube algorithm work for you. I wish I had this class when
I was younger, but I didn't. So I would ask you to be close attention when
watching this class. I'm pretty sure you
want to make it on youtube in the
shortest time possible. So, I don't want you to keep repeating the mistakes that
I already went through.
2. The Youtube Algorithm : Okay, now let me try to explain the youtube algorithm to you
as simple as possible. First of all, I have
to ask you a question. What do you desire from
the youtube algorithm? Well, I assume that you want
to grow your youtube channel, growing your youtube channel been getting more views and
getting more subscriber. For you to get more
subscribers on youtube will you have to get more views first
the more views you get, the more there are people who are potentially can subscribe
to your youtube channel. So, if you want to get
more subscribers, you have to get more views, Okay, but how do
you get more views? This is the main
question of this course. How do you get more
views on youtube? To get more views on youtube, there are four aspects
you have to optimize in your videos for you to actually achieve
getting more views, those four aspects
are impressions, click-through rate or CTR, average view duration, or AVD. And positive signals. In the next few
lessons we are going to cover those four
aspects in depth. So just don't get
overwhelmed yet. So we have established
that success on youtube is getting more subscribers. Getting more subscribers,
is getting more views. Getting more views is the
four aspects we are covering. Let's start with the first
one. Impressions. in fact, let me just go on
youtube real quick. Let's say I want to watch one of my favorite videos, like Mr Beast squid game video. This video right here. After I searched for that video, the amount of impressions... This video has increased by one. And if I refreshed
this page, again, the amount of impressions
will increase by one again, impressions is how many times your video has been shown
to a potential viewer. Needless of him, clicking
on the video or not. The more convincing your
title and thumbnail is, the more the viewer is likely
to click on your video. But overall, the more
impressions you get, the more views you
end up getting. Now let's move on
to the second one, CTR. CTR or click-through rate is
basically the percentage of people who click on your video when
it's shown to them. basically CTR is
a percentage of views divided by impressions. So, let's say your video was shown
on the homepage 100 times. And from those 100 times, five people decided
to click on your video. That means that 5 out of 100 people clicked on your
video when is shown to them, which basically means that this video has 5% CTR. CTR or click-through rate
is basically a metric that measures how
optimized your idea is, your title is, your thumbnail is. The higher get this number, the more its likely for youtube to start
promoting your content. Now let's move on to
the third aspect, which is average view
duration or AVD. Average view duration is basically a metric
that tells you how hooking your videos are
how engaging your videos are. If your videos are boring, your average view
duration will be low. If your videos are entertaining
and mentally hooking, your average duration
will be high. Average view duration is basically how much
time on average, people spend
watching your video. Let's say ten people decided
to watch your video. Five of them watch
it for five-minutes. Five of them watch it
for seven minutes. That means that the
average view duration of your video is going
to be 6 minutes per average viewer. The higher get this number the more hooking
youtube sees
00:03:15.050 --> 00:03:17.435
your videos and start
promoting them. And now to the fourth
and the final aspect, which is positive signals. Positive signals are signals
youtube detects from your own video to find if your video is actually
worthwhile for the viewer. Those for the four aspects
of the youtube algorithm. If you actually give this
course extreme care. It will make a difference
in your youtube career. Like I told you before, I wish I had this course
when I was younger, I struggled a lot
to actually figure out those four aspects of
the youtube algorithm. And I wish you give them
shot to and work with me in this course on optimizing your videos for
those four aspects. And in the final lesson, we will recap all of those
four aspects. So, that you can optimize them needn't you getting more
views, didn't you? Getting more
subscribers needn't you, finally have in
your youtube success. That's it. And I will see
you in the next lesson. What is success on youtube? Success is getting more subscribers. How do you get
more subscribers? Well, you have to
get more views. How do you get more views? Well, you have to take great
care of four aspects. Click-through-rate impressions,
positive signals, and average view duration.
3. Click Through Rate Explained: What is click-through rate? What is a good
click-through rate? How to use click-through rate. Packaging your videos, consists of three main aspects. The idea, the title and the thumbnail. Click-through
rate is a metric that can measure how optimizing the
packaging of your videos is. While you are in the youtube studio
press on content, then choose, any video you
want and click on it. The go and press on analytics.
then go and click on reach. You will find your impressions,
you will find your impressions click-through rate which is CTR. You will find
your views as well. Impressions is how many
times your video has been shown to potential
viewers. Views is how many times those potential viewers
decided to click and become actual viewers. Click-through rate
or CTR. Is views divided
by impressions. Let's say your video has
been shown to a 100 people. That's a 100 impressions. Five of them decided to click. Then those are five views
from 100 impressions. Then your CTR is 5%.
The higher CTR gets, the higher your video ranks compared to the
competition on youtube. The more impressions you get,
the more views you get. But Gamica, what is a good click-through rate
CTR is relative, changes depending on the
niche of your content, entertainment, education,
gaming, will what game? What is the age
of your audience? Gender, demographic.
how long is a video? You don't like click on one hour YouTube videos as
much as 30 second ones, right? Which means lower CTR
for longer videos, what is a good
click-through rate? My answer is always going to be higher..
increasing your CTR is making more
hooking thumbnails. I'm pretty sure you can
never not want to do that. Asking me what CTR you should aim for
is basically like me asking you what amount of money you wish to have
in your bank account. Like it's always gonna be more. You got 10% CTR
that's nice. You've got 20% CTR. That's
even more nice. You manage to somehow get 30% CTR that is
even, even more nice. There is no
magical number for your CTR to
get views. The more increase your CTR the more the views will increase. It all depends on you. How much views you
want to get like, like, I don't know what
you want from me, like... How to use
click-through rate. I would only use CTR
to A/B test thumbnails. A/B testing thumbnail
is basically having more than one thumbnail
concept for a video. Posted the video with the first
thumbnail. Giving it some time. Then switching to a different
thumbnail concept and seeing how
that one performs. Compared to the other one, then
settling down with the one that
has the higher CTR. Okay, now how to A/B
test thumbnail? Let's see, you just posted this video. Let's say you are using this thumbnail concept and you decided to change it to this. thumbnail concept.
You were at 7 am. at 10% CTR then,
at 8 am you are over 13% CTR that mean your CTR increased
by changing the thumbnail. Then you should stick
with the thumbnail you just changed that cause it
to go to 13%. But let's say at 9 am, you decided to make another switch and
you found that your CTR dipped down to 10%. Then you should change back to the thumbnail you
were originally on, that caused it to get to 13%. Hopefully you learned
something new. And I will see you
in the next lesson.
4. Thumbnail Creation Tips: How to optimize your
thumbnails for maximum views? I will give you simple
tips that you can apply to your thumbnails
to optimize them for the youtube algorithm and some psychological tips to
help you better understand thumbnail's performance and how to make the best
thumbnail as possible Use only 0 to 2 words per thumbnail A really good thumbnail, explains itself
without the need of text. the viewer usually scrolls through and give thumbnail
less than a second, in which time he
won't be able to read your five lines of text. So, make sure your thumbnails has 0 to 2 words in the thumbnail, Zoom Out
zoom out your thumbnails when you are trying to see
if it looks good or not. Remember that youtube
scales down your thumbnail in lots of different
areas only.
Simple Fonts. I found a lot of new youtubers
using good-looking fonts. They actually look quite amazing. But all of that, comes at the
price of ease of reading. Make sure you use really simple, easy to read bold fonts. You will find that the
biggest youtubers like MrBeast only use white font with black stroke in there
thumbnails, that is if they even use text in their thumbnails.
Youtube Dark Mode. 82.7% of all phone users are
using dark mood. that means for
your thumbnails, if the background
is black or dark, They might not notice your video because it blends in with
the youtube dark mode What I recommend is the
use of white backgrounds. It stands out a lot
amongst other videos, especially on youtube dark mode.
Limit to three objects per thumbnail. Don't overcrowd your thumbnail
was lots of objects. Just limit to three
objects per thumbnail for example, a face, some text And an intriguing picture. Some text, an arrow and
an intriguing object. Try to tell just one story, per thumbnail. Even if much more happens, telling one is better than him
scrolling through. and not clicking on
your video. Timestamp. A lot of new youtubers
forget about this but there is a huge timestamp in
the right bottom corner, that covers a huge chunk of your youtube thumbnail. You need to always
keep that in mind because any text
or materials in the right corner
of a youtube video's thumbnail will be covered
Face = Emotion. I see a lot of youtubers use just a good looking picture
of them in the thumbnail.
00:02:05.560 --> 00:02:06.595
That's okay. But I would recommend
using a pictures that conveys emotion, that
tells the story. You can just go with
something like this. It stands out a lot
amongst other videos. Red arrows and Red
Circles. Use red arrows. Just don't overuse them. If they are used
correctly they can do a lot, but don't look at it as red arrow equals
high CTR. If you point at
something that is not intriguing or doesn't
cause curiosity, then you might just be misguidance the
viewer, use them. If there is a really intriguing
object in your thumbnail, that can tell a story.
Plan the thumbnail before planning the video. I see a lot of youtubers
wait before they hit the Publish button to start coming up with a
thumbnail of the video, make sure to come up with the thumbnail concept before
started working on the video. If you can't come up
with a thumbnail concept that you think actually fits the video then, scrap this video idea and try to
work on the next video. Drama text, try your
best to make sure the text you add to thumbnail
actually offers value. And add to the story. Explaining the video's idea is the title's job. Add what I call drama
text. This video is called overnight in
an abandoned ghost town. you have this is what you can add
text, what can you add? Maybe you can add Scary, abandoned ghost town overnight or
something like that. But what Ryan Trahan ( The Creator ) did
is he added no laws, which added to the story, which explains that it is not just to only an abandoned
Ghost town. But there is also no laws
in this town. Make sure your thumbnail make the viewer
ask a question. if he asks a question then
he will need an answer. How badly will he
need that answer? Depends on how good
your video actually is. I wonder what
happens in the end. there is no way they
actually did that. I always wondered what would
happen if I did that. if you can't think of a question then don't make this video idea, try to improve on it or
move on to the next one. WouldYou.Click There is a website
called WouldYou.Click you can go there, write down your title and upload
your thumbnail. And it will automatically apply it to youtube
templates and show you how it looks compared to other competition
on youtube. You should go and
give it a look. which photo editing software to use? I personally use
Photoshop, but remember, the thumbnail concept is more
important than the execution. I would rather you having an
viral thumbnail concept executed on the default windows
paint app rather than a not that, intriguing thumbnail concept
executed on Photoshop, go with whatever photo editing
software you might like, just go with one and start improving on your thumbnails...
hopeful you learn something new. And I will see you
in the next lesson,
5. Average View Duration Explained: What is average view duration? Average view duration is how much time on average people spend
watching your video. Average view duration
is how hooking your videos are.
How engaging your videos are. The higher the
average view duration, the higher your video ranks
competitors a competition, the more views you will get.
How to find average view duration. Your average views percentage, and your watch time
Basically, you are in the youtube studio, you click on content,
then you make any video you want,
and click on it. then you go
And click on Analytics. then you go and click on engagement
Now that you are in engagement. You will find your
watch time over here. You will find your average
view duration over here and also, if scroll down you
will find your average view duration over here. And the average percentage viewed. Those are the most importantly metrics when it comes to judging
how hooking your videos are. let say that 10 people
decided to watch your 10-minute video. 5 of them, watched
for 5 minutes. And 5 of them,
watched for 7 minutes, that will make the average view duration 6 minutes,
average view percentage. If your average view
duration is six minutes, and your video is 10 minutes. Then the average view
percentage is 60%. Watch time. Watch time is basically the
total minutes all the viewers spent watching your video. I personally look at only average view duration and average view percentage. to judge my video.
3 things I look at, When I'm trying to
read the retention curve. Basically, I look at the dips. If the retention graph is going like this
then suddenly it drops. I will go there and try to find out what's wrong
and learn from it. So over here the
retention is at 68%, then it drops down to over
at 63%. I will* go there and note down
what went wrong. The other thing I will go
for the retention graph is I will* go at the ending of the video
and try to find out how many people actually sticked to the
end of the video. This video is 8 minutes and the average view percentage
is at 20%. Which is not ideal at all. It should be about
40% or 50% from that. I know that I should put more
effort into making my videos hooking
next time. The third and last thing I look at, I go at the first 30 seconds of the intro
and I tried to find how many people...
if there is like 70% or 80%...
if after 30 seconds of the video. There are 70% or 80%. then my intros are hooking
enough for me. Those are the three things
I look at when I try to read my retention graph. But Gamica, what
AVD is a good AVD like CTR my answer is
always going to be higher. Increasing your AVD is making more hooking videos and engaging videos. I'm pretty sure you
can never not want to improve on that. AVD
is also relative. It changes depending on
the niche of your content, the age of your audience, like tutorials, for example, most of the time
you skip through tutorials and leave when you get the information
you need
00:02:52.820 --> 00:02:54.560
leading to a lower average view duration. And now you're asking me what average view duration
I should aim for. That is like me asking you, what amount of money do you wish to be in your bank
account right now? Definitely want to
have $100,000 instead of $1000. Definitely you want to
have $1,000,000 instead of $100,000. The answer is always
going to be more. The more you increase your
average view duration, the more views you will end up getting. So, it's
all up to you. If you want more views
working on your average view duration, that will lead to you getting more views. Hopeful you learned
something new. and I will see you in the next lesson.
6. Average View Duration Tips: On this lesson, I will try
to give you some of the most important audience
retention tips and tricks. I learned the hard
way as a youtuber. Music is always much
better than dead silence. Make sure the music is just
music with no vocals, so that the viewers don't get distracted by the
voice of the singer*. Make sure the music isn't
anyway, near as loud as your voice, so that people
can probably hear you and understand
you. which is basically adding text on the screen with
every few sentences, you say is a real game changer. It can easily grab the
viewer's attention. It can help your videos. If your mic's
quality isn't that good. After you finished recording, you can record some
A-Roll footage, which is basically you talking to the camera and trying
to storytell everything that happened to
you during the video. Then mixing that with the footage
you shot during the video. One of the things that
can really damage your audience retention is clickbait in the thumbnail or the title, but Gamica how can the packaging of your video hurt the
audience retention? Well, If you give expectations in your thumbnail, then not
deliver on it right away. the viewers will
immediately leave leading to an audience retention
that looks like something like this,
all of the viewers left at the intro. I'm pretty sure
you don't want that. So don't clickbait. If it doesn't add to the
story of the video, cut it out. It is better less than much
in creating a video. Just make sure you
don't cut too much where the audience
are confused where you are currently
or how you got there? pattern breaks are basically, this was
a pattern break. You are more focused now. but make sure there is a reason for the
pattern break. I usually do pattern brakes, when there is a funny comment,
I want to highlight. So, I cut up the music. He focuses on what
I'm about to say. I say the funny comment. He laughs, the music continues. which is having more
energetic, louder voice. Being hyperactive on camera, having tons of hand gestures
and facial expressions, more camera confident,
more engaging as a youtuber, Practice using your hand. when you are
trying to speak to the camera think of your face as a monitor, That is showing every feeling that you are having
in the current moment. SCREAM!, every now and
then during filming, raise the pitch of your voice. When filming, it
definitely helps a lot. Then mix them all together and keep them in mind every time you are filming. Do you prefer staring at a picture for ten minutes or a moving
video, filled with cuts that is action backed? You can mix your videos with
some greenscreens* and effects. Try and make some visual
changes every now and then during your
video so that the viewer, stays hooked. You can try
zooming in every once in a while just make sure
it isn't too much keep the video moderately paced. Not too fast, not too stiff. Hopeful you Learned something new, and I will see you in the
next lesson.
7. Impressions: Now we're gonna move
on to the next aspect of optimizing your youtube
video for the youtube algorithm, which is impressions...
Impressions is how many times your video has been shown to
potential viewers, regardless of him clicking
on the video or not. And we have already
established that increasing your impressions means that you
will also increase the amount of use your
video will accumulate. But how do you exactly increase the amount of impression
on your video? Well. for that topic, I will just give you plan out tips on how to
increase your impressions. We have established
that all of those four aspects lead
you getting more views. So, in some of those steps, I might get into how to increase your average view duration or how to increase your
click-through rate. Because all of those
aspects linked together and will eventually lead your
video to get in more views, lead your video to get
more impressions. Leading to you
finally having your youtube success. I'll start with the first one that I
always recommend Niching out is basically, let's say you are making youtube videos about
shotgun microphone. A Shotgun microphone is
basically, another type of microphone like this
a Clip microphone, this is completely
besides the point, but just to clear things up, Niching out is
basically you making videos about
microphones at all. Niching out from that is
basically you making videos about camera gear. Niching out from that
is basically you making videos about
film making. And you can niche out in the brand of your
youtube channel, which is basically you
being a channel about microphones or a channel
about film making as a whole. And you can niche out on
a singular video of your, let's say you're
making a video about this shotgun microphone
simply titling the video Will get way way less views than The reason for that
is the first title, reviewing Boya BY-MM1.
is targeted at people who are trying to but this same
exact shotgun microphone, or at least interested in
buying a shotgun microphone. But if you title it. The best budget
microphone to buy under $100. Now the video is
more broadly appealing. People like me who already has a shotgun mic might be
intrigued to actually know what is the best the budget
microphone under $100. The video now became
more broadly appealing. Not only the people
who are interested in buying a shotgun
microphone will click, but also, the people who have a small interest in
shotgun microphones. So whatever video are
making, try and think, how do I target
the people who are mildly interested in this topic and the people who
are like casual. who have a slight interest
in this same topic, let's say you are titling
a video But just adding
fortnite to the title, which is a video game. If you didn't know by
just adding that word, you have limited this video to only gamers who are
interested in fortnite. This might be a good thing, specifying the
audience you want and getting higher CTR or
might be a bad thing, and limiting your video just to people who are
interested in fortnite. So in a certain case, a title like would probably outperform the one where you have specified fortnite. And the same thing
with niching out your brand on your
youtube channel. If you are making videos just
about shotgun microphones, why not try to niche out? And make videos about
microphones at a whole, maybe about film
making at a whole. The more you niche
out theoretically, the more impressions
you can, can get. This doesn't
guarantee you getting the click, that is CTR
that guarantees getting the click, that you can get, that you are able to get. like let's say you
are making a video It is targeted at
the casual python user. it is targeted at the
expert device on users. It's even targeted at the nonprogrammers
normal people users like, if you didn't
know python is a programming language,
just stick with me. But if you make a video
like It will obviously get no views like it's
obviously targeted at an extreme niche
of python users. Let's say you're a gaming
youtuber and you are making videos about
a really niched down, well, you are niching
down pretty bad, the only people you
can get from playing this game are going to be like
2000 people at max, no matter how high your
click-through rate is, your average view duration, the positive signals coming
from your video. There is only 2000
people on the world who are interested
in clicking. If you are in a really tight niche. So maybe just try and
niche out your brand on youtube. And this can
eventually lead into you getting more impressions
on your youtube video. The next thing we're
going to talk about is I personally used to
struggle with this a lot. Like let me explain something. impressions has nothing to do with what inside
the video, right? Well, that's wrong because
if the viewer clicked on your video and leaved
early on during the video, that will give a negative
signal to youtube. that your video is not worth
watching and leading your video getting less
impressions overall. So, if your videos average view
duration isn't optimized, you will get less impressions, you will get less views. The only reason I bring up average view duration
is let's say there is a certain joke or a certain humor
in your style of content, a certain community joke, like. my personal youtube channel
is about entertainment and there was a toy chicken,
called mark. We used to joke about it
in my youtube videos, but let's say at some random
time during my video, I mentioned mark
well, the new viewer He has no idea what mark is. Is he my friend? or is he
a headed chicken toy? So that is community humor and the way to avoid that
happening at all, because it can easily slip by, in your videos. Is just after you're finished
making your videos, just re-watch them
again as if you didn't know anything
about that niche at all. Anything that leaves any sort of confusion just
trim it out, no matter how funny it is. Well, it's only gonna be
funny to your community and the new viewers
will not stick around, will not become
subscribers, and will not lead to you getting
subscribers on youtube. So any sort of community
humor or any sort of jokes you like
to add to your intro, just trim them out. Either the joke being
broadly appealing or trim it out? Because there is
nothing worse than being beside a
group of friends of yours and hearing them laughing about a topic you
are not familiar with. You will feel left out and you don't like your
viewers to left out. Do you? Like basically if you want to make an introduction
for a youtube video, don't make it too complicated
too community related. Make it as broadly appealing as possible. Don't use any
complicated words or any community familiar words
like for me personally, when I'm making a youtube education video, I have to explain click-through rate every time to every
new viewer coming to my youtube channel because
he might not know what CTR is and he
will feel left out. So, you see how this goes, but it's the most damaging
at the introductions of your videos because that
is the part of the video when he judges, If he will, stick around
watching your video leading to you getting higher
average duration. leading you getting more impressions. Or whether he will leave during the
beginning of your video, Ruining* your retention audience
attention and lowering in the amount of impressions your
video will manage to get. So at the start of your video explain the video
idea as if you were explaining it to a day one
beginner in your niche. present the title and thumbnail, in extreme simplicity. There is a certain
video I always use when I'm discussing this
certain topic with a youtuber, You know what non WCA mean? Well, if you do, I don't, and a lot
more people don't. Not everyone is heavily
interested in Rubik's cube. But some of us are casual. Rubik's cube's users, like I have a Rubik's
cube it right here. I have never managed to solve it. So, I'm interested
in Rubik's cubes, but not NON-WCA RUBIK'S
CUBE TIER LESS INTEREST. So, a better title will be Now, the video is more broadly appealing and is simple than
the previous one So, when you are writing your title, and thumbnail make them, as extreme
simple as possible. Don't add any barriers the
viewer's brain needs to get through for him to
decide to click on your video. That's it. And I will see you
in the next lesson.
8. Positive Signals : Let's move on to the topic I barely have any tips
for you on. Because in fact, that is the most
simple topic of the four aspects
That next topic is
positive signals. An example I like to give to showcase this part of
youtube algorithm is, let's say you wanted
to watch a new movie. Like maybe you wanted to go to the movies to watch
the new sonic 2. You decided to go to the
movies and watch that movie. So, we can basically
say that you clicked on the movie and you
watched the entire movie. So, we basically can say that
the average view duration, is the length of the movie. But after you finished the
movie and you came back home you can't remember anything
that happened in the movie. In fact, when you
think about it, you didn't get any real benefit
from watching that movie, you didn't even laugh once... Yes. That movie
was shown to you, you decided to click
on that movie. You watched that
movie till the end, but you weren't
entertained by that movie. You didn't get any real benefit from
watching that movie, you feel that you have wasted
the past two hours of your life watching that movie. like it's pretty simple the positive signals" aspect of the youtube algorithm
is basically And the positive signals vary from sharing your videos,
liking your videos, watching your videos till the end, commenting on your videos, filling out surveys that they
enjoyed your video or they didn't. So, there is lots of positive
signals that you look at, but eventually they all lead
to you making better video and making your
10-minute video worth the viewer's time,
how do you track positive signals? will, there is a lots of ways you track the positive signals
signals like, shares, comments him click and not interested in your
youtube channel or not, him filling out a
good survey or not. But why does that matter? Like why does that matter what
is even positive signals? Positive signal
is the viewer finding your video worthwhile. So, work on that. Don't go look
for any metric. Put in the effort, make sure your videos are
time worthy are worthwhile. And the think I'm trying to do in the past few months is learning
how to make my videos a memory in the viewer's mind. After he watches my video, he will remember it
till the day he die. That's what I want
my videos to be, and that's what you should do. The more you get
this sort of effect, the more you find more people
writing in your comments, the more you are on your way
on improving your content, don't be a cheap
add those extra hours. Go for it, add those extra hours. Learn that new
editing trick. Work on the version 17 of
your video's thumbnail Because as I told you, there are lots of positive signals youtube looks at they don't matter for
you as a youtuber. What matters for you as a youtuber Adding those four hours for
that 15-second clip working on your music design and your video editing skills, watching my courses to help to optimize your videos
for the youtube algorithm. Like I told you, I have
been on YouTube for eight years and there
is no shortcut. The only way for you to grow on youtube is actually
to put in the hours. and I know you
have put the hours, but you just need to
optimize them a little bit. And that's what we have
covered in this course. That's it. And I'll see in
the next lesson where we recap everything. And I tell you the formula you should apply when making your
next video.
9. Final Thoughts & Final Conclusion: Welcome to the final
lesson of this course. What we're gonna do in this
lesson. Well, in fact, in this lesson we
are going to recap the four aspects 3 times I'm going to recap each one
in like 30 seconds. Then I'm going to recap
all of them in 30 seconds. Then I'm going to recap all of them in one single sentence. So, youtube success is
getting more subscribers, getting more subscribers
is getting more views. Getting more views is
judged by four aspects. The impressions, the
average view duration, the click-through rate
and the positive signals. The impressions aspect of
your content creation is basically, you making
videos about broader topic using simpler terms when
talking in your video, niching out on the
topic of a single video, Or niching out on the brand
of your youtube channel, the more you niche out, the more your
content appeals to the beginners of this same niche. The more
impression you manage to get, the more views you manage to get. And now average view duration. Average view duration is basically, how hooking and
engaging your videos are. Increasing your average
view duration is basically, making your
videos less boring. The more you increase your
average view duration whether using music or adding subtitles or adding lots of zooms and stock footage,
improving your hand gestures, and your facial
expressions. The more your average view duration increases
the more views you will manage to get. What is a good average view duration? higher Now click-through rate. Click-through rate is how
good the thumbnail, the title and the idea of your videos are, not just the
thumbnail of your video. The more you work on coming up with more intriguing idea, the more you work on
perfecting the title of your video and the
thumbnail of your video. The more it is likely for a viewer
to click on your video. The more its likely for your video
to get more views. Now we move on to
the final aspect, which is basically
positive signals. There are lots of
positive signals that youtube looks
at to determine whether your video was actually worthwhile or was
just a waste of time. But you don't optimize your videos for the
positive signals. You optimize them
for the viewer. You make sure your video
is the best version of itself, so that youtube knows that your video is worthwhile, leading to your video
getting more views, I would recommend
that you take a screenshot of your
phone or your desktop. Because like your youtube
career success is right here. So just to take a screenshot. Okay, now the explanation of
the youtube algorithm. to gather success. youtube. You have to get
more subscribers. To get more subscribers, you have to get more views. And to get more views, there are four aspects
that you need to take great care of.
Your impressions. You have to make videos
that are broadly appealing. Your average view duration, you have to make hooking and engaging video. Your
CTR, you have to make intriguing eye grabbing
Thumbnail, titles and ideas. The positive signals
coming from your video, which basically
means you have to make worthwhile videos. And now to recap everything to achieve success on youtube, you have to make
00:02:53.435 --> 00:02:56.705
