About This Class

Get ready to learn some creative ways to help find a little more peace, take better care of yourself, boost productivity, and do more of what matters.

Hi there! I'm Agnes de Bezenac, an artist and author from France.

I'm so enthusiastic about self-care, and I’m passionate about art, and that's why I love mixing the two together in some way.

In this course I’d like to share with you a few of my self-care techniques and habits, expressed through art, more specifically through putting art together in some mindful, inspired way to create meaningful craft pages. Self-care is such a broad topic, so I find it helpful to separate them into different categories, for future growth and progress. Here are the specific topics or aspects of self-care that we will cover in this course:

  • Practical

  • Physical

  • Social

  • Professional

Here are some of the things we will cover in this course, specific to creating these beautiful craft pages:

  • Benefits of combining art with self-care

  • Find inspiration for choosing your pictures

  • Notice on what is personal and right for you

  • Create cut-out letter titles

  • Include lots of space for journal prompts

  • Add beautiful final touches

  • Questions for personal reflection time

  • Examples of activities, habits or rituals related to self-care

  • How to grow and practice in your self-care

  • Learn to question yourself, for your well-being

  • How to use and refer back to these pages

Materials needed:

  • craft book

  • white paper

  • letter cut-outs

  • lined paper

  • cut out magazines

  • craft decors (if you want)

  • stickers (if you want)

  • glue

  • scissors

  • paper fastener

  • black pen or marker

  • white gel pen

  • tape

  • cutter and metal ruler

  • attached print-outs (if you want)

Some of the benefits to using art and a creative project like this for our self-care:

  • For me, art and creativity makes me happy. It's my joy and passion. I get a sort of high from it.

  • It uses that side of the brain that is more attuned and sensitive.

  • I’m paying attention to my physical needs and my emotional needs at the same time

  • I use my creativity to facilitate soul searching and bring to light unconscious thoughts.

  • Any sort of art form allows me to express what I have a difficult time putting into words.

  • It works as a memory builder. Whatever I take time to do and create, it has a greater effect and meaning for me.

  • Becomes like a concrete manifestation of my imagination and thoughts. Subconsciously works towards my good.

  • I have a beautiful work of art that I feel proud of and can refer back to it as often as I need.

  • Helps grow my confidence as I see all what I'm doing to better my self care.

  • Encourages me to take time for me with no other distractions. I can't very well multitask at the same time. It’s concentrated “me” time.

  • It helps me realize that I’m important, I’m of value and I deserve this time.

  • I’m able to reflect and ask myself about so many questions that I never took the time for before.

  • I feel I’m learning more about myself as I do these pages.

  • I realize that creative is not so much about the end result but about the listening during the process.

  • It feels like play, but at the same time I’m equipping myself with an amazing gift, not just for now but to use and be reminded of for as long as I need it.

  • When I feel a low of inspiration, when I need a little pause to reflect, when I feel like I could use a boost of joy, peace or calm, I go to my craft book. I open a random page and I reflect and focus on it.

  • The more detail, the more sensory play, the more I love it and the more it helps me connect within.

  • It brings up memories of how I made it past a stressful situation or difficult moment and it just suddenly builds me up in confidence and courage for what I’m going through today.

  • I feel proud and satisfied with beautiful creative artsy work.

  • I allow it to bring me so much depth and wisdom as I relate it to my situation now.

  • I can continue to add little notes to personalize it to what I'm going through right now, today.

  • There's room for evolving with how I'm changing and growing and what I need at the moment.

  • What I love most about these craft pages is that I have a way to connect with my teen daughter.

  • This is an outlet that we both can enjoy and have fun with together as we grow and progress in our self-care.

  • It’s a wonderful, meaningful experience you can share simultaneously.

  • You’re equipping her with a self-care tool kit she can continue to use for life.

  • An outlet for the pains, fears, humiliations, challenges, or disappointments.

  • It helps us to check within, for the strength, wisdom, grace and joy to journey on.

1. Introduction: Hi there. I'm on yesterday snack, a creative artist, author and teacher. I'm so enthusiastic about self-care, and I'm also passionate about art. That's why I love mixing the two together in some way. This course I'd like to share with you some tried to improve in self-care habits and routines expressed through these creative craft pages. Here are the specific topics of self-care that we'll cover in this course. Practical, physical, social, professional, and create effective. Bringing my love for creativity. And at the same time, growing and self-care has been such a satisfying experience in my life. And it's even been a wonderful bonding experience to do together with my team daughter. A time for us to connect, to reflect and improve our communication skills, as well as encourage and motivate us towards progress. In this course, I'll take you through the process of finding pictures and inspiration that spark joy and meaning. You'll learn to personalize it in a way that is just right for you. How to use certain materials to create a beautiful craft page. Adding final touches of decor, creating space for reflection time and journal prompts. You'll learn how to question yourself for further growth. I'll share with you some examples of activities, habits, and rituals related to self-care. Most of all, you'll learn what self-care means for you, how to continue to make progress and how to use and refer back to these pages and much, much more. I'm inviting you today to follow along and get all creative and artsy. And maybe challenge yourself to try something different in a new ways for your personal well-being. And most of all, to find some calm and joy. I'm looking forward to exploring this artistic journey together as we grow in our self-care. 2. Practical Self-care Craft: So today we are going to be diving into our practical self-care craft page. I welcome you to take your craft book. You can also use the download that's available for you. For this part of the class, we're going to prepare our little download page. You can decide and choose which size is better for you and for your craft book. And maybe for anything else that you would like to add on your page. This one is nice and small because that way I can add some other things around my page, but I would like it to fill up my page. So I think I'm gonna go with this beaker one. You take your scissors and you just cut around your house. You find a pretty picture of a house. Something that really sparks joy. If you're very artsy and you have a little extra time. Also, just draw your house, maybe even draw your own house. Because that will help to personalize it even more for you. I wanted to save a little bit of time today, so I drew my house ahead of time. Then I printed out a copy and I've made one for you as well in case you would like to use it. I'm not cutting directly on the line. I like to leave a little whitespace around. Kind of gives it a little sticker look. If you think you can kind of see, have an idea of how it will fit on your page now a little bit better, because I chose the big one. I'm going to probably make my title over here on this part of the page. If you go with a smaller one, you could make your title on the top or on the bottom. So it's really up to you to how you want to visualize this page and what seems more fitting for you. Something else that will do to prepare this page. He's give it a little bit of color. I'm gonna use my two digital markers here. Just bring a little bit of shading or a little bit of color for extra fun. You choose any colors that you like. Maybe that's fitting to your house or fitting to your mood, your style. Think I'm going to start by making the tiles. And I'm not going to cover the whole thing in just, just a little touch of color is all that needs. You can also find a picture in a magazine, or better yet, which I just thought of now is take a photograph of your own house. You would like that. This doesn't look exactly like my house, but it has lots of windows like this. Since an attached house, this type of roof. And I probably added a few extra fun touches to it. Maybe it's my dream house. I have my colors are sort of light pink. That's because I don't want to have them too bright. I just wanted a little touch of color. And this is kind of matching to my style, these colors. I love the color pink. Because today where delving into practical self-care. I'm already thinking about things related to my practical self-care, which even colors is a big one for me. That's the reason why I've chosen today to do a drawing of a little house. Because what better example of something practical. That's where we take care of ourselves. Sometimes that's where we work. Where we like to relax, enjoy ourselves. That's where we nourish ourselves. Course we're not home all the time, but I just thought it was a good picture for me. Feel free to personalize it to you, for example, if there is something more practical that you can think of in a sense of a picture in your mind. Maybe you're thinking of something else, then he's that you're really free to do here. What you want. Even just adding a little bit of shading, not even covering fully. I think a little bit of shading just gives it a little bit more depth. What's even fun for me? Using my pencil? Adding a little bit of shading that way. I'm just giving you different examples of what you can do for your picture. If you prefer using color pencils, paints. And you could really do that. There are loads of ideas and you can use whichever medium of art of coloring that suits you best. Which is the wonderful thing about this little project in activity. If you don't have the time for this and you just skip this part altogether. You don't have to, it's not so important to the project. But I find that the more textile, the more senses I use, the more artistic the project, almost the better I remember it sticks in my mind. That's why I like to use whenever I can, whether it's coloring, painting. And it's so relaxing for me. I hope that you're enjoying the process as well. As I've said before, I've also been doing these projects along with my daughter. We have so much fun. If you're here doing it together, then I congratulate you for that. I hope you're enjoying it together with a friend. Because sometimes things are even better when done with someone else. It's not to say that you can't do this project alone. I could probably go on and on for a long time with this shading, but don't want it to take too long. Sort of depends how much time I have as well. Okay, well, we have it pretty nicely done. Next part of preparing our print out will be to open up the windows. So I have this piece of cardboard here. You can see it's quite thick because that way, when I use my exact or knife won't cut through my table. So you can take your exacto knife and your ruler for this part. I'm going to be opening up my windows and doors. I think the windows I'm going on the top, I'm going to open them this way. And then the windows here, I might open up towards the middle like that. So let's see how it goes. So if you're doing the top ones, I'll do the three at once might make it easier. You just put your ruler in place and cut through. Make the bottom cut at the same time. Since it's facing the same direction. I'll turn my page upper and do the right side of my window. Where to open then you can give it a try. So it should open like this. I love using any extra little fun project for my craft book. I think that's where my child-like self comes out. Just like little babies and kids love opening up little flat books and I have loads of fun too. It's also fun to create. Now for my middle windows, I'm going to do the top. It's okay to go slow for this process. Another thing I love about these craft pages is that it uses all types of art. That's why I find them so creative. Doing some cutting and gluing. We're doing some coloring. Sometimes you will be doing painting. Sometimes we will be creating something a little bit more challenging. But that's the fun of it. For example, this one, you have to concentrate. Now we will do our middle Hut. Again. For each window we just have three cuts, whether it's in the middle, we have the top, the bottom, the middle, or the side, which is what we did for the top Windows. You can choose to do all of yours one way or the other. Just enjoy the variety. See if they work. That's good. Now we have just our bottom windows. This one we have a little plant in a way but which is going to have to open it like that. Working. Whoops, almost. Check them to make sure they're open all the way. And lastly, we have our door just going to make the straight line to make it easier rather than going for the curved milk here, be a little bit more challenging to open that. You have your page already and we can put it towards the side. We can put it aside for now as we move on to the next part of our project. For this part of project, you will need your craft book and you will also need either your printout page if you want to use these letters here that I've made available for you, or you can do as I do, or you can do is I do and collect some letters from old magazines or newspapers, even old books. I have my book so that I can measure. And I also have my house that I can see how much space I have to work with for my title. So I can either put it on this side or I could put it here. I'm thinking I might even put it on this side for fun, for something a little different. So I will find letters that spell the word practicals. Since we're focusing on our practical self-care. I can move this to the side little bit. Take out some of my letters. I have here P. Kind of like using a variety of letters. And if there's one that I don't have file, probably use the one from the printout. Then you place it in the spot that you decided. And I like to use different fonts, different colors, different fonts. So for example, here's an other aid, but it's written a little bit differently. Sometimes I even like to use in different colors. I'll put it here for my a. And you will have to keep an eye on how much space you have for now. We're just getting started, so it's okay. I'm going to get everything. My C and R here. This is really newspaper, so it kind of adds to the charm of it. Let's see any other type of font color. Here's a T, or I could always use the a. I wanted to from here. Since this one has a little bit it with a different color. In case that way they're not all brown in the same place, practical and I'll need another a low anyways, I'm looking for a C. I can always cut out a teeth for now. The eye like this r because it's on a black background, so I like to mix and match. So because these two are the same color, I might even choose that one. Again, this is another creative process. Each one has their own charm. Paying attention to the details, shapes, and sizes. And so I'm ready to glue it in place. I want to glue it quite soon so that they don't mess up all the time. And that gives me an idea as well on how to continue the rest of my page. I'm just using a glue stick. Trying to keep them in place as I glue one at a time. Don't worry, we'll dive more, delve more into the aspects of practical self-care. Maybe you're creating this and you're wondering, Oh, what is this all about anyways? Just let yourself enjoy this little artsy project and don't worry, we'll take plenty of time for some reflection time to understand how we can grow in our practical self-care. Or maybe what it means for us. How we can improve or what are we doing already? In our practical self-care? There's so many benefits to mixing a little bit of artsy stuff with your self-care. I'm sure there's some special to you as well. I love how it's a little bit. Exam, it's not perfect is kind of more fun not to straighten formal. Now if you have your paper from your house cut out, you can use a little piece of it. It'll scrap of it for a little self-care title. Just going to put it here to take the measurement. My house is going to fit like that. And I'm going to draw a little flag. Might even make it a bit bigger. And it can go on top because it can be a little flat. We just cut towards the middle to make it look like a little flag. And then we will use this side instead. Without the pencil. You can either put yours underneath the house or you can also make it on top. Like putting up black line outline. Just so it stands out a little bit more. Then we're going to write the words. Self-care. Can use a pencil first if you want to make sure that everything will fit in. If you choose whatever lettering you want. I'm going for cursive here for a little variety. Since we have lots of and then I just erase it for a cleaned up. There we have our little flag and our whole title done a practical self-care. And I'm just going to do a little bit on this side. It's enough to keep it in place. That way I can glue my house a terrane underneath. So that was it for our little practical self-care title. I'll see you in the next class, so forth. This portion of the class, you will need a little house without the little windows and doors, and you will need a sheet of white paper. You will also need your lined paper. For some of our journaling prompts. I have two options here. I have one with smaller lines, one with a bit wider lines. I just took these from an old notebook so you can choose whatever lines you prefer to use. To start with. You're just going to fold your page. So this is an A4 page. You're going to fold it in half. And then you can place your house on top. Because we've taken up so much space with our house for the craft page, I thought that's opening up a flap. Not only is exciting and fun and playful, but it's also giving us much more space and room for anything that we'd like to add. Bletchley, all those reflections are little heart expressions that they want to work through for our self-care. So I'm going to glue the house on top. I'm just being careful not to glue over the windows and door. Of course. You just put glue on the sides mainly. And also you do want to protect your windows and doors. If you put glue next to it, that when you open them, they're still firm. Doesn't come apart to easily. Then padded nicely gently down each little spot, especially the places close to the windows and doors. So at this point you can also take your windows and we're going to give them a little full. Enclose them again. Even this part of the project is fun. Relaxing. These windows were open to the side. Whoops, something already gotten glued. So that's why it's important to do it. Now in case you got some glue in the wrong spot, you want your windows to open nicely fully without any glue. Instructing them. At this point, I think our house is starting to take shape. Starting to look really cute. It's starting to look more realistic, starting to be fun. Then your door. Oops, I made a little mistake. You might have noticed. See the door handles on the wrong side of the Uzzi. I'm going to be creative and draw my new door handle. On this side. I'm going to cover my little mistake. Just a little piece of paper and glue it on top. You have some white gouache. You can also do it that way. Maybe you noticed it before me. We have our little windows open. To finish this part off. We're just going to cut again. I'm going to just leave a little white around the house. There are two sides. You want to make sure your windows are closed so that we can put it flat down without them bending in the wrong place. You can choose to either have one page like this. You could have two pages opening up something like this. I think I'm going to go with one. I liked this one because it's a little bit of a different color. I'm going to cut it nice and straight. I'm going to really go for them. Notebook page all the way. I'm going to make some little circles as if it were a little ring ring page from a ring binder to even make that little look as if they're cut. Then I'm even going to trace the outside of it. I like the hand-drawn look, so it's not perfect. My lines are in super straight, which is what I like about it. Not too formal and straight. We're including this page here for a little reflection time later on. These craft pages, I'd love to add as much into them as possible. So I load them with goodies. Goodies that you'll be creating, that you'll be Journal, journaling about. This is what makes it so special because that way you get to go back to it after least for me, it makes me want to go back to it after when I have all these fun little details. Before I glue it in place, I want to sort of check with my house and see the size. I'm going to cut it just like we had before. I like the little curvy look. It's less formal and straight. This cut may alter our little notebook page. Let's see how it goes. You can just take your book at this time and try it out. See my pages a little bit too big. But that's no problem because we can just fit it to size. The width is okay. I'm going to take my pencil to draw it out. Draw the shape of my house so that I know what I have to work with. That's kind of like this. And at this point I can also draw it with my pen. Can either make a straight line or you can follow the shape of the house. It's okay if we make a mistake. All this takes lots of patients st, stay in kind to ourselves, forgiving ourselves for little mishaps. I find also that I changed my mind sometimes halfway in-between the project. That's okay. We're ready to glue it in place. I'm just going to put glue on one side like this. I don't feel it necessary to cuckoo all over. That way. I can always, if I want to eternal some more, I can always do it back as well. Or even on this side of the page. That's it for our little house flap or house card. I'm looking forward to seeing you in the next part of the class. Welcome back. In this part of the class we're going to work a little bit on our questions. You can open to your page that you just worked on for the journaling with your little notebook page. And you can use either a pencil or you can start directly with your pen. I'm going to jot down a few little questions, a few little reminders for myself that I like to refer back to, kind of like journaling prompts. I'm not going to answer the questions right now. I'm going to list the questions and I'll do my answers a little bit down the line maybe during my morning routine or my journaling time just to help personalize it to me. But I like to have the questions, so I'm going to put them right here. That way. They're really clear and I can always go to them when I want a little quick reminder or a quick reflection time of my practical self-care. Right now I had thought of six, that'll questions, but of course, as you know me, I always like to add to it and continue to personalize it for more situations. Just going to write down the questions that come to mind. I'm going to change pen because I have a feeling that this one is going to go through. This is what's something that you want to be careful about. And I think it's safer to switch from your ink pen to a ballpoint pen. What is it about my surroundings that make me feel overwhelmed or stressed? So I think it's very important to find that out so that we can let go of those feelings. What about it makes me feel most calmed, balanced, or joyful. After releasing our negative feedings, we can move on to what we want to focus on. What we want to pay attention to. What are the feelings that we want to feel? What improvements can I make width or in my practical self-care? You might even be wondering, well, what is practical self-care? Just as a quick side note before I delve into the questions as an example, practical self-care for me. It would be anything related to home. For example, having an organized space, well-maintained, clutter-free for my work or business, just my environment in my surroundings. So practical is more like what we do in our home, or even it'll habits or routines that make a difference around us, that affect us in some way. So that's the way that I see it. It's maybe things that I do that keep me from feeling stressed or overwhelmed. That's why I pay attention to that here. And also things that bring me joy and calm and peace. So our surroundings, our home are very big part of that, which is why I decided to make it and it'll house image for myself, kind of like a visual aid for me, visual reminder of what it is. What do I want to start with related to any improvements that I can make in my practical self-care. The more that we understand and reflect on what practical self-care is for us personally, the more that we'll be able to answer these questions. But it takes a little bit of practice. I remember for me when I first started delving into self-care and kind of it was overwhelming for me. So that's why I sort of put it into different categories for myself that made it very clear and creating this craft page needed even clear. That's why I'm inviting you today in case you want to delve in to the physical aspects of self-care and practical being, very much a part of that. What tiny habit can I begin with today? Here's more like what do I want to start with? Like maybe the goal or my vision? Big picture? And here putting it down into a tiny little bite size doable step for myself, that's the best way to learn something new or to begin a habit. And my very favorite question of all, why is this important to my self-care? Once we understand what it is, then we can go deeper and ask it ourselves why it's important, or maybe how is it related to our self-care? I think for each of us it's going to be different. I'm going to place it row numbers here. I have some more space for more questions down the line. And here is where I will answer these questions. You can either do that online like this, or you can use the numbers, the same numbers for the questions, the same numbers for your answers. As you notice, I didn't write down the numbers. That's because I want to add a little fun, little more color and maybe find some numbers. I might have some stickers or maybe some magazines with numbers. Again, this is another way that you can personalize it and have fun. I have a little book here of stickers. So it's a little sticker block. It's got tons of little shapes, nodes. It has some numbers, so I'm going to use these. You can just place your little sticker. If you don't have a sticker, if you don't have magazines to cut out, then of course feel free to write it. Using a sticker even kind of helps make It's easier to write. Just let the variety of the colors, the textures. If you want, you can even keep going until you're age is finished. I might add a few more so that later down the line. I don't use them for something else. That way I'll have them for this project. There we have our funded or numbers page and our questions. For this side, you can just write your numbers unless you have more stickers. That will be fun as well. You can just add more of those. Bye for now and I'll see you in the next class. Welcome back. This time today we're going to fill up our little windows mix. You may have been anxiously waiting for him. I would like to fill this up with different aspects of my practical self-care. Here we're going to maybe understand and dive in. A little bit more into what it means for us personally. I'm going to personalize it for me, but of course, feel free to write or to think about what it would mean for you. Maybe some of mine will give you some ideas or bring something to mind that you would like to include on your page. I'm going to start with my door because it's the biggest one. Again, I'm going to take my ballpoint pen so that it doesn't bleed through the page on the other side. Here I'm going to write on the little flap here. I'm going to write home. This is where I'll focus a little bit more about my home in general. That's probably a big one for me. Next year I'm going to put office. I write it in and I just underline it to make it clearer. I'm going to write and be even more specific and write desk. These are all different aspects of my practical self-care. And so I'm putting it down and it'll steps for one, anything home related. So of course, this is all, it's all to do with my home. But you may have practical aspects may be related to your work. But since I work from home, That's why I've included it altogether. But if you have your work or your business or maybe your studies, school outside of the house, you could use one of those windows for that. That's why I've specified it to my office. So maybe you are working at an office, maybe you're working in a factory, maybe a nursery or a kitchen or shop so you can write whatever would work or your situation. I have lots of space just because I'm home most of the time. Office desk and I'm going to write one that says technology. So you might wonder why this one, but I feel that it's very practical because technology is such a big thing these days and we use it for our work, we use it for Hobbes, we use it for home life, we use it for so many things. So I want to have some little habits in place or little reminders in place to help put it into perspective for myself care. These bigger windows here I'm going to write, maybe I'll write it this way. Since there's more space to doodle journal, I'm going to write habits. Little dot, swim. I'm going to write wardrobe or closet. Here we're getting very practical. As you can see, an ongoing really into the details of what it could include from you. And here I will write kitchen because I'm the main In the kitchen in my home, I'm the main cook. Keep it clean. Even though we all use the kitchen. We all eat in the kitchen, but it's my responsibility. I've used that most of my home spaces where I do a lot of my practical stuff. So here I'm going to write what I want to focus on. Here. I want to write down, let go. Now that we wrote the little type tools where we want to focus on for our practical self-care. It can either take another color pen. I might even choose red, and I'm going to write inside more specific. Here we're going to get a little bit deeper. And I'm really asking myself, how can I grow into this practical self-care? First of all, how can I understand it fully? How can I be mindful of it? Because I think that's a big part to being able to improve or work or build habits or find joy in it is by understanding it. Firstly, we don't have very much space to write, but even if it's just one thing for you, I think that's a good start. For example, in my office, something that I do to keep my practical self-care and check is to do a five-minute pay. So what is that? That's just I spend five minutes or sometimes I even put on a song. I just pick up anything out of place and put it back in place because sometimes I get overloaded with work and my George's piles up with stuff or my desk piles up. So at the end of the day, I tried to just spend five minutes and pick up whatever is not done in five minutes. It's okay. I'll leave it for the next day, but at least I've done a little part and it just feels bachelor going back to it the next day. So that's a little practical thing that I've found that works really well for me in my office. Another one is. Go through my books and art supplies. I have to do that pretty regularly because it just seems to accumulate and I get more and more without getting rid of stuff and it piles on and my cupboards don't close, my drawers don't close. That's another one that keeps me also from stress and overwhelm and also gives me much more clarity in my work. I need free spaces to think and to be creative. So those are two little examples of what I would do for my practical self-care in my office. It is on my desk. I think the biggest one would be to empty empty it before bed. Just so that the next morning I come back and I'm clear, I'm fresh and I can just start a new I'm sure I'll think of some more down the line. Technology. What would really help me in my self-care would be to unplug once in awhile or have no phone no phones zone. For example, in the kitchen or in the dining room. We it try not to have phones that way we can ensure meals together as a family without distractions. Another one, I would say, read a paper book rather than on the phone or a Kindle book and use a timer. So these are very simple little prompts. To remind myself of some things I can do. Practically. I can't really get into a big long sentence, but just a little keyword is enough. I think we don't like being nagged, but just one word is good enough habits. I think one big habit is having a morning routine. That really helps me get going with the day. It gives me a good start to the day if I had my morning routine done and I feel that I've accomplished in thinking, I've taken care of myself because my morning routine really does involve a lot of my self-care habits, rituals, and it's kind of like me time. My kids are grown up and they are responsible. They handle their breakfast and school homework. So I have the morning to take care of myself before the day starts, before work begins. Another one for me would be Journal time. I think it has to do with practical self-care because everything comes out on my journal pages and sometimes very practical things as practical things really affect us emotionally, mentally, physically as well. Our bodies are health, so giving myself this journal time is a practical thing. I think another habit is take the weekend off. So easy for me to just keep working because I worked from home and because I love my work, but I just need to shut down for a little bit and breathe and think of something different. Just have fun and play with my kids and not do anything specific or with a certain result in mind, and that's what I do on the weekend. Maybe we go out as an hour for an outing. I could include that. Go outside. Also electrical. It's also physical thing. Just going outside helps me come back refreshed with a new take on my work. Well, I have loads that I can add to it later. Just wanted to do one or two for each one. Just to give you an example, in ideas. Wardrobe, I have quite a few for this one, when I put on something that I don't really like, I put it in a bag. I'm just going to write code away. I enjoy. Feel great in. So I'll put it away for a few months or a year. And if by next year, next season I haven't missed it, get rid of it. I get rid of it if I haven't missed it after one year. There's many, many more, but we want to have the time to do all of it Kitchen. Think a big one is to keep my counters cleared, neared and empty. That way. I love going into my kitchen and I feel more inspired to cook and prepare something nice. Another big one for me is new dishes. Clean up. Before bed. I try not to leave anything out. Even if we have gas and it's a late evening, I prefer doing it in the evening so that the next morning I don't have a big, humongous pile of dishes to clean, but of course this is not for everybody. I know some people who prefer doing it in the morning into them, It's enjoy doing it in the morning. Personalize it to you. I focus on, for my practical self-care, I focus on what brings me joy, calm, comfort, Posey feeling. What brings me clarity. Those things many, many more which add to it later on. Then what do I let go of? I think I want to let go of clutter. So I need to once in awhile, the collector, which is probably what I'm going to add into my home here. Collector junk. I think I keep too much junk just because one day I'll need it. So easy for an artist. I want to keep those little papers and odd objects, cardboard boxes, just because I might have a project in mind later down the line to use it for, but I find that I just need to get rid of it. It take up too much space and then leave me stressed. I let go of clutter, junk, stress, mess because it leads to frustration. And plenty of other things. Just helps me to write it down because it's what I focus on. I can only focus on these if I've let go of these on the y's, my mind is taken up with too much at once. Home. I'm going to have a plan I want to have a plan for de-cluttering. Often, whether it's once a week, I go through a drawer which is kind of like what I had set in place for myself once a week. One shells or drawer space. So I put it in little bite-size step for myself. I just go through it. I let go of things that I don't need anymore that don't serve me anymore. Because we all change, we evolve, our kids grow up, things go out of style, or we might change preferences and things that we love. So it's helpful to do it on a regular basis. At least I find that for me. Well, that was a little bit more delving into our practical self-care. I hope that was a help to give you some ideas of maybe things that you can do in your home or in your spaces to help give you a little more clarity and solutions, a way to de-stress and to have more time for the things that you love. In this next part of the class. We're going to be putting it together. We're going to be In our house. In our book. You have it all filled out. We have our little title here. And you just decide where you want to place it, where it would fit best. You want to make sure that the windows can open here even with acetyl self-care flap. I think I'll put mine right here. I have my glue stick. What I'm going to do is just put glue on the sides. Right now. On the bottom. Glute ear. Here, you can just open it and makes sure that the glues all nice and everything is gluing in place just like you want it. Notice that this little sign here might need to open this way. So I'm going to make it, give it a little fold. That when I open my house in the way, the reason I didn't clue the house fully down is because I want a little flap here. Now you can use your other little lined paper. I'm going to cut it to the size that I need because I wanted to add a little paper inside to write down something about my practical self-care. Just so I hadn't really clear in my mind what it is, what it means for me. And I might even add in a quote, I want to. You can try it out. There we go. Just right. I'm going to give it a pretty title. Very simple, practical self-care for me. You can write just a quick little description of what it means to you or what you think it is. Practical self-care for me means having an organized, well-maintained, and clutter-free work, business and home environment. That's the general part of it. And tasks that I complete that fulfill core aspects of my life in order to prevent stressful situations, overwhelm frustrations dot, dot, dot and y. Practical self-care. Because I want to feel joy and I want to feel at my best. I went more time for the people and the things that I love. I really feel it's important to include the y. Because then I'm more motivated to do these things for my self-care. And for me. I might even underlying these keywords. That's at the heart of the practical self-care. We have. Our little addition is probably the most important part of it. If you want, you can even cut it out and fun, cool way, little artsy, creative way. It's not perfect. Come to pharma. There we go. And that's it for this part of the class. I'll see you for the very final one. For this next part of the class, It's going to be our final little touches. We've done most of our Journaling course. You can spend some more time doing your answers to the questions. We've done, given some ideas, listed, some ideas of what are practical self-care is, we've even written it down for us what it means and why. It's important to us. Now comes adding a little extra decor. If you know me, I love to add in a little touch of color and flowers and extra d course, make it even more beautiful and inviting to come back to. Now's when you can take your little sticker pages or maybe your magazine pictures or cutouts. I have a variety of things here. I have some pattern pages, have these stickers. So I think I'll do a little variety, maybe cut some out. These are a die cut, pre-cut. Like the word here, it says new home. Think that we can almost make it like a new home if we pay attention to our practical self-care. The time he just play around with where you want to add something. Maybe on the door on the outside here, or you could even have it on the inside. Here's lots of variety of colored papers with patterns. I'm going to see if anything's sparks a little inspiration for me. My kind of like these flowers because they're the same color as my house roof. I think I'm going to choose this page. Do a few cutouts. Of course, if you have some stickers, it would be a lot easier. You'd save this time. It's also a relaxing time for me. Sort of reflective, mindful time because I can keep paying attention to my practical self-care. It's not time wasted either. Something I want to remind you of for this activity and project, feel that you're wasting your time by taking it. You are so important and valuable. The more difficult it is to make the time it's probably the most necessary for you. I'm just going to cut out the roses. 3. Physical Self-care Craft: Welcome to another course of self-care crafts. Today, we will be focusing on our physical self-care. So you can take your self-care craft book as well as the printout page, if you would like. You'll find this one as an attached file which you can use or you can make your own from other pictures that you have. I've included the title, but you can also feel free to write it yourself or maybe to cut out letters, whatever suits your fancy. For this part, we're going to be starting with our little title. I'm going to take the printout sheet and just cut this out for now. Just do a rough cut around the edges. I'm not going to do it perfectly to the edges yet. Because I would like to create a little booklet that opens and closes. So I'm starting just with the rough cut to make it easier. Then you can take some regular white paper or you could also use some lined paper from a Notepad or a notebook. That's what I'm going to do. I'm going to rip out a page from my notebook. I kind of like the lines and the colors a little bit different than white. I'm going to measure with my title here. I'm going to again do a rough cut three times. That way. I can have a little booklet with three pages. Each time I just add to it and cut. You can make as many or as few as you want. I might even make a force that as well. Physical self-care is a big aspect of self-care. I feel that there's so much to it. So that's the reason I'm including lots of papers. And now you can take your glue. You can either use a stick glue or you can also use white glue if you prefer. Before I blew it all down, I'm going to take my ruler and do a little fold. That way. I know where to glue them. So I'll take it to the edge here. I want to leave enough space for the fold and the glue. I would say like half a centimeter from the title here. And I've used my nails or you can use your ruler to straighten it, flattened it. That way we'll have an easier time gluing it down and we'll know exactly where to glue. I start with my first one and I just glue this flag down. If it's not totally centered, you can move it easily because it's stick glue. Then I'll do the next one on the flap, the middle fold, and make sure it's centered the next fold. Then again the next one. I'm not sure if this is the easiest way to do it, but it works. And then the last one, What's nice is you don't have to be so picky yet about where you're gluing it. Because we haven't done the final cuts. Exactly. Because we haven't done the final cuts yet. It's going to be way easier now that it's all glued in place. Now I can go ahead and cut around my title around the edges. So you decide if you want to leave some white or if you wanted just all black. I'm leaving just a very thin line of white just for a little contrast on my brown paper. So it stands out here again. And I can also curve them because we have enough booth to keep it together. There you have your little notepad title. For our physical self-care. For the next part of this class, I have a picture of a hand and I'm going to cut it out. I found this picture in a magazine. You could find something similar if you wanted to, or you could even print one out if you don't have one. And I liked this one because it matched exactly the shape, the size of my tight. It'll even without planning it out, it is found that it matched perfectly. I'm going to cut out the hand as straight as I can, as perfectly as I can. Well, not perfect. I'm not going for perfection, but I'm not so into the blue behind because it's not going with the color of my page. I'll see how best I can cut it out. I'm sure you could find something online and little hand or even a photo of your hand into the shape. That you want. I would just suggest a hand holding something and if you don't have that, you don't need it, it's not a necessity. I just thought it would be a fun addition to my page shot. You could just have your title anywhere on the page as well. It would work just fine. To also cut the inside part. We don't need that. It's almost perfectly, I have a little touch up here that I could maybe do with marker in here as well. It's not perfect, but it's okay because it's it's kind of the cutout look. Another picture that we'll need is something related to physical. So you can think about, you can reflect, you can look at your magazines or any cutout pictures that you have, something that would be meaningful to you on what physical self-care is? I even had a difficult time choosing one because I had quite a few to pick from. I have this one. Then I found this one from an old calendar. I feel that they both have some meaning to me on what physical self-care is this one, she's taking care of her body. She's taking a bath or shower. And this one she's taking time to relax. Maybe she's enjoying some sun, getting in some vitamin D. So to me, those are both aspects of physical self-care. I'm going to see which one fits best on my page. Enough to put her underneath a little bit. This one, I have more space. This part Really comes with your preference and let yourself be lead your heart. Maybe which one has more meaning for you? Which one you feel would fit best on your page. So I'm gonna start by cutting it. Appear. I'm going to cut it like this first and then see how much space I have to work with. Because I can also move the hand up a little bit. You find a way to make it fit for you. I'm going to draw a line here so I know where to cut. Then I'll cut it out. I'm going to try to keep the hand as far from the head as possible. I could also cut her feet out a little bit. Maybe I'll do that so that her head is not cut off. So again, I'm going to draw a line. We have our main pictures for our page. So you can go ahead and choose something to hold your title or to add to your title. Maybe you have a pretty banner or something that could work as well if you don't find a hand. And then you have your main picture for your self-care, something that is meaningful to you and your personal self-care. For this next part of the class, you're going to need your old newspaper or old book page with some text if you'd like that. This is just for an, a little touch of pattern and decor. It's not super important, but I liked the old look of it. You will need an envelope or some paper to make an envelope. I have here a very large one. So this is going to be big. But I like the texture of it. Again, it's not just plain white. But if that's all you have, that will work fine as well. So I have here a sheet of paper, so it's a little bit textured and it's very strong and sturdy. I'm going to make my own envelope. Since the other one I had was to beak. I'm going to measure in the center of my page in centimeters. I'm going to make my rectangle, rectangular shape. It was ten by six. Make sure to center is correct as well. Then I'm going to add a little side thing on each part for the flaps that I will glue. Then for the top. I'm going to measure the center of that, which is five. Draw a line up here and down here. For the top, I'm going to make it straight from my corner to the top of the line. For the bottom, I'm going to add another little flap again for gluing. Then again to the top of the line. I can just draw it here, doesn't have to be perfect. I want it centered and then I will straighten it out. So hopefully this will turn out okay. Just in case I'm going to cut a little bit extra space than what I drew because I want enough space to be able to glue it together. It helps to follow an envelope design, which is what I did just to make sure I got it right. So we'll see. Now I'm going to fold it on my lines. So I start with the bottom, the sides. I'm going to make sure they're cut all the way to the edge here. Because I want them folded in. This one will be over the top one. I can cut directly on the line. Because this one, we don't need to glue it anywhere. If it's not exactly centered, you can always trim this part a little bit. You can always give it a little curve if you want. A little envelope is coming together. Now we're ready to blue it. For gluing, you'll just need to put glue on these little side flaps on the bottom. That's all. Which makes it nice and easy. I'm also going to erase the lines that I have. They're not needed anymore. Looks better without the lines two. Then I can fold the top part. I'm taking my ruler just to have a straight fold. Start with making sure it's centered. If it's not totally centered, you could always trim it. There. We have our little envelope. Now we can check out and see how it fits into our book. A habit behind the hand, behind the fingers. Hey, it's starting to take shape and it opens just perfectly. So if you had your measurements correct, then there should be no problem at all. Now for my little old paper, you'd have to see if this fits or not. You decide if it fits with your style. I might just add very little piece, old paper right here. So old that it just rips when I draw on it. Going to cut it and see how it works underneath the hand and over this picture, what I like about it is that you kind of blends the colors together. I have some light Spanish here. My envelope is beige as well, so it kind of brings it on both sides of the page since we already have gray here, black here, skin color, peach here. So it brings this, these two colors together somehow rather than everything a different color. So now that we have everything laid out in place how he wanted, we're ready to glue it down. But before I do that, I have one more little step I'd like to do. I'm going to take my picture. I'm going to cut a little slit on it. So I have my very thick cardboard here to protect my book and my table. Because I'm going to use a cutter to cut a slit into the picture so you can do this if you want to. You don't have to. I wanted to make an extra little pocket, so I'm going to just do a little cut here all the way until her feet. So as you can see, there's a little cut That was quick and easy. Now we're ready to glue everything down. So I'm going to start by gluing this girl down first because. She's going to be on the bottom of the page. So I make sure to glue all the sides. Add glue on all the sides. I'm just not going to put any in the middle. It's going to be slipped. It's going to be like a little pocket and I had it around here, I think. Then this page was next. Because it's so sensitive, I'm going to put the glue on my book instead. It's so delicate because it's such a full piece of paper. I can glue. I'm going to see where my hand goes and the envelope down because it goes underneath the hand. Around one centimeter from each side of my page. For the envelope, I'm going to put glue all over so that it's nice and strong, especially because I'm going to be filling it with stuff. Make sure I have it right in place, straight. So you can already congratulate yourself because you learned how to make an envelope new Pixel, a beautiful pictures for your page so far. Now I'm going to glue the fingers down. I liked this hand too because it also pictures for me. It also made me think of physical self-care because feeling physical, lot of it has to do with our hands, taking care of ourselves, keeping healthy, keeping ourselves beautiful. Then I can glue this little titled down, which is our little book. It's okay if it goes on top of the envelope because we're not going to be moving it around anywhere. I like to include loads of little spaces for little journal prompts in my craft pages, which is why I added lots of pages to this part as well. There we have the main part of our page. So it's really starting to take shape already. We haven't really delved into yet what physical self-care means or what it is, though I think that it's different for all of us. There's a time. This is a space and part of the class that you can reflect and you can personalize it to you and what it would mean for you. For me, when I think about physical self-care, I think of activities or rituals, maybe habits that improved my well-being in my physical health. It can mean a lot of different things. Like the picture shows taking some time alone, taking some time outside, getting some sunshine, some vitamin D, even a little detail like wearing sunglasses to protect my eyes. She's wearing some nail polish that could be a little sign of self-care because it makes, Is feel beautiful. Wearing something that we love, sitting on a comfortable seat, maybe watching a beautiful sunset, sitting in front of a beautiful view. Anyway, I'm just thinking about this picture here, but this is the part that we're going to have fun filling up our envelope. So you can be already thinking, what is physical self-care for you? So I've made a little list. I have my little self-care journal here and I listed physical self-care and I started writing a list of what it means for me that might be helpful for you and give you some ideas. If you want, you can pause the video and do that even now. And if you already know what it is or maybe you have a few ideas, then please continue with me here. As I mentioned before, there is a page that you can download that goes along with this class. And here I've included just a few little examples of things that I've drawn that I want to include in my envelope. So we'll start off with those. You can go ahead and start cutting those out. To me. Physical self-care means taking care of my body, washing there, maybe with a shampoo that is good for my hair. That would be something that I conclude into my infinite. In other one is taking care of my face, making sure I take out my makeup. Maybe putting some cleanser, some lotion or cream night, maybe getting myself some anti-aging cream. So all those little details are part of physical self-care and they all make a difference. So I'm going to be putting in here are some of the things that I do for myself care. Of them, I would like to improve it. It's not that I do everything. I wanted to serve as a gentle little reminder for myself of something that I can work towards. Even a little detail like putting on some makeup in the morning helps me feel really good in confident. I don't put a lot. I don't have fancy makeup, but it's a little detail that makes me feel physically great. The other one is having clothes, wearing clothes that I know of that are comfortable, that suits my style, the right color, so that I don't go into my closet and think, what do I have to wear? I have nothing to air. So it's really finding those clothes that suit me well, that fit my body shape, my body size. That other one is taking a bath. I don't get to do this very often. Maybe I just don't take the time to do this very often. This is something that I would like to do. Maybe add some nice soaps or send some nice oils, relaxing oils, I think I could enjoy that. Other one is moving my body, staying physically, it fits. So you decide what is right for you. It might meet dancing. If I want to have fun and just play, but still move around, get some exercise, I'll put on some music and dance. Maybe. I'll do a workout video with my gym ball. These are just a few. You can include these or any of these. You don't have to include them all. Now, we're going to also choose some magazine pictures. So I had this one, since I'm not using it for the cover, I could even add it to my envelope. I've also gone to my magazines and old books, old newspapers for anything else that would spark something related to my physical self-care. I'm going to go through those with you just to give you some other examples and ideas. I have here a little tube. So for me, it's, it could be related to putting some cream on my dry legs. That's why I cut this one out. This girl is putting some makeup on, maybe some blush to cut out the words. I love, including any and as many pictures as I possibly can because to me a picture, It's, a picture says so much even more than words. It's more like a little encouragement and reminder rather than a sermon. That's the fun, crafty part of this. Oh, here I have a beautiful bathtub and I love the color yellow. I might include this one instead of my other bathtub. So you can compare with the pictures that you had in the pictures that you cut out before. So I'm going to leave this one out and maybe use this one instead. This is loads more fun. I'm going to measure, make sure it fits in my envelope. That's what's fun about these magazine pictures too. The ad a little bit of color, little bit more style. I love reading a good book. I think that's also good for my. It might not fit so well with physical self-care. But the reason I included it here, I would I would think it would be more under mental self-care. Maybe. The reason I added here is because I love reading books about health, about my body, about style, about fitness, related to physical health. And it's kind of helps me to learn new things and make progress in different areas. This one, it looks like they're playing outside, definitely outside time nature time, nature exercise as part of physical self-care. There's some French words they're gonna see if it fits into my box. Not I will just cut it out. Let me into my envelope. To that they're doing it together. I loved going for a walk with my husband, makes it all the more special and I think it's more motivating to do it with somebody else. I also have a day a week that I go for a walk with a friend. Here I have some beautiful grapes. This reminds me about eating healthy. What's so nice about this project is you can add to it. You can change them around depending on what you want to work on, depending on your priorities, doesn't quite fit. So I'm going to this leaf. Then I loved to take them out. And whenever I look at this page, I refer back to them. It's like, oh, how am I doing with this one? I can ask myself, how does this one make me feel? I feel this one is still important for me or exists a priority. Oh, yes, I wanted to take a bath. I forgot about that. So just little reminders like that really makes a big difference here. This one is to remind me to drink lots of water. That's a very important one for my self-care. I tend to enjoy coffee and T's, but I often forget about drinking water. This is something I want to work on. I have a clock here. I'm wondering why I included a clock. This clock can mean many things. I think it's mainly just taking the time off, taking the time for these things. Realizing that time for me is not time wasted, this physical self-care is an important thing and something that I can add to my schedule. I love going back to these because each time I think of something different. Here are some pencils. I kept this one because doing some type of art or creative activity is very physical and I think really benefits me and my self-care. Some shoes I loved pretty shoes doesn't just help me build a little bit more confidence or be a little bit taller. But I think I feel more elegant. I feel more beautiful when I wear nice shoes. Here's an apple could be related to eating a healthy as well. Cup of coffee? Yes, this is physical and this is my special little treat. Definitely include this into my physical self-care. I have one in the morning and one in the afternoon, but it's such a little tree to because it's also the time I have some gratitude time in the morning and the afternoon. It's a time I just take for myself to be quiet and to be still. This cologne maybe. Putting on a touch of Cologne makes me feel beautiful. And it's another form of physical self-care as well. Some of these are bigger, some are very little details, but it's also important. Here's a little girl reading charity, have a book, but the little girl, maybe it's me. Letting myself dream and wish. Just like a little girl, snow boundaries. There's no worries, no anxieties. To just enjoys the moment. This is a picture of a ship. Yes, I love going to new places, exploring new horizons. So I'm still looking forward to that. I've done a lot of traveling as a child, but I'm looking forward to more traveling with my husband, maybe went to kids, grew up. Here's another one, something art. See, my new thing has been to paint, so I cut this one out. It's it's a new hobby of mine and it's so relaxing. It's not just coloring, using colors, but it's something I've never done before, which is painting. So things just trying something new, challenging myself is also part of physical self-care. Here, little notebooks. I think I'm going to add this little notebook here, notepad because being organize, staying organized, either having little planner or a little notebook or middle journal. It's also very physical and helps in my self-care. As you can see, there are loads of little ideas, states that mean physical self-care is again, are just a few. So this is the part that you really want to personalize about what this physical self-care mean for you. I'm going to see how they fit into my infinite loop, this net, it'll pile. We get to place them in the envelope. Little examples that'll rituals, that'll habits, physical self-care, yours don't all fit. Then you can even choose the ones that you would like to focus on first or focus on at the moment. One is too big, so I'm going to cut this part. Here we go. I think I'll have fun changing them around as well because time goes by NIH evolve, I mature. Maybe some reminders I don't need anymore because I've learned and improved in them. And then we can close our envelope. You fit in as many as you want or as few as you want. For this next part of the course, you will need some fun that'll sticker pages or some cut out pictures from magazines. Whatever you have on hand. Maybe you could draw some or create some on your own. You could print some out and color them. So this is just to add a fun touch of decor, little bit more color to our page. I've already gone ahead and glue the couple. I wanted to give this a try. I took the sun hat from here and the little cup of cold drink. It was hard for me to decide what to choose from all these beautiful pictures and stickers. But I'm trying to find something that ties along with physical self-care and is meaningful for me. It made me think of this girl, she needs a sun hat and this delicious pink drink would be the cherry on top of the cake. And I'm looking around what else inspires or sparks a little joy for me, for my page. Here's a little boat and I thought this could tie. And along with my little adventure excitement, travel side of me that lead us to experience new things. Which is also great for my physical self-care. I'm going to see where to place that. Maybe over here. Then I for sure I wanted to add some beautiful flowers and leaves. Maybe this popsicle to something to drink, something to do, something to protect herself with missing something to eat. I'm going to just trim the edges a little bit again. Maybe I'll put it right here along with the dream. Now I'm going to look for some flowers and love these beautiful flowers here. Little touch of summer. I'm creating this page in the middle of winter. But for some reason I'm wishing and dreaming of a warm summer day, at least this page is making me feel that way. This morning and my little journal time, I took some time to think about all the special things set winter brings for myself care. There was plenty of them. I think each season has something special. Some of the things I enjoy most of this time of year is warm blankets, my fluffy blankets, fluffy sweaters. Cuddles from my fluffy cat. Hot drinks, hot soups, hot water bottle, cozy candles, cozy fireplace or all those things. I don't think I enjoy them as much or appreciate them as much in the summer as I do in winter. So I am really grateful for a little touch of winter to my days. It brings coziness, comfort, and joy. Every season I think has their beauty and their charm. I'm appreciating all of it already. It's looking sort of artsy now. Maybe I could add in a couple of leaves or some green one here. You play around and see how you would enjoy, where you would enjoy putting them. This part is loads of fun. I'm going to add in this little oil. This could be a nice scented oil for my body as I take a bath, or maybe some healthy olive oil for my salad. These little touches of physical self-care, I can add to my page, not only to make it colorful and pretty, but also meaningful. I have another little leaf here, maybe adding some more green. I'm going to take off a little bit of the white. And maybe one last little flower. I don't want it to overwhelm it either. I have a hard time stopping once I start decorating my package. I wanted to keep some of my stickers for other pages. And I also want to leave a little bit of space and breathing room on my page. There we have all our pretty little d course. In this part of the class. We're going to add in some little journal prompts as we take a little time to reflect and what it means for us physical self-care. We've already determined what we can do for our physical self-care by adding all these little pictures here. I'm going to add a little bit of text to say what it is. I have a little piece of cardboard, a little scrap, so I could either use my white side, like the pink as well. I'm going to cut a little strip for my envelope to use as a little title. I could place it right here, or even here, or even sideways if I wanted to. I'm going to write the words. Because it reminds me that these are some things that I can do for my physical care. I asked myself what can I do? It's in that envelope. And I'm going to make a nice little flag to tie along with my look, summer vibes, little party facts. It just like it really clear on my page. I can refer back to it when I need to, as it gives me some ideas. To continue on with our pink paper. I'm going to write physical, I'm going to add here self-care. Actually, I could either write it on this paper or if you have the printout, you also have the words written self-care. I'm going to cut that out and see if it can fit somewhere unless it's a little bit too big for my page. So once I cut it out, I'll probably be able to tell There's some room for it. And if not, I'll just write it myself on a smaller paper. I don't really want it to cover my pictures so much, but either I could do that, added here even on top of the hat would be okay. Or I could also make it as two words. If it fits better. I think I like it that way. Doesn't hide too much of my hat. And it's okay if it goes underneath the little bit. That way it makes it very clear what our pages all about. If I want to bring another little touch of pink, I would go ahead and cut a little piece again. This is just a scrap from my sticker pages. I use up every little scrap. I don't like to waste. And also, it's a pretty little pattern. I could even add a little piece here. If I wanted to. Maybe four little quote, gonna have loads of pink on our page. One more thing is we're going to add a little piece here to fit into our slit. I didn't. I forgot that when I made the hat. So either you can just have a smaller slit here or you can make a little slit in the hat as well. I'm going to cut and preserve as much of this paper as I can. I can just include my little slit like this. I wanted to I'm going to even give it a little handle. I'm just taking that extra piece that I cut and I'm going to glue it. Showing the white part. Maybe. Now when I have my little slit, shows it's easier to come out, shows that it's something to be pulled in. I can have my little title here. There's loads of fun little additions you can do to add some creativity to your craft page using just very simple little things or scraps. Or now I might give this a title here, as well as some little themes, topics for my journaling. Here. For here I'm just going to write a little quote, alright, coat on my title. For here. I'm going to use a ballpoint pen so that it doesn't go through the other side. Here, going to write as a little journal prompts. How do I do it? I'm going to underline little. I'm going to think about the different ways that I am able to fit in or schedule or plan some of these self-care little rituals for myself, for my physical self-care. Because it can be a challenge, especially with our busy lives. But having it written down on paper not only helps to keep me motivated and challenge, but also finding solutions in ways I can do it. And also even manifesting this time for me helps it to become a reality. So I'm going to give a couple of pages for that. Here. I'm going to have a couple of pages for maybe I'm going to include it fits. How does it make me feel? You know, I like to include that as a little booster, again, motivator for myself and gentle reminder of the importance of it benefits and how does it make me feel? I have again, lots of space for that. We're almost done and for celebrating. I've even added a little touch up decor to my space, to my table. Maybe some of these things bring you inspiration and joy, and that's what it does for me. This is the part that we will delve a little deeper into our physical self-care and well-being by answering some of these questions for ourselves. For this part, you will just need your pen and attentive mind and open heart. Ready to write down those things that you feel and that are personalized Just to you. I'll include some of the things that I think about as I go through this process. How do I do it? I'm thinking about all the ways that I'm practicing with my physical self-care at the moment. And then after I can even move on to some of the things I would like to do or improving. Focus on the little things one at a time. That way I don't put too much pressure on myself and I don't get overwhelmed, which would be counterproductive to my physical well-being. So in light of that one, I do little five-minute intervals. Which means I do little five minutes of rest, maybe five-minute coffee time, five-minutes nap, five-minute pickup and declutter. I find that five-minutes is doable and it's not asking for too much. So that's how I like to start again, focusing on the little things and the little times that I do have. I might not have a whole hour or whole big chunk of time, so I take advantage and I appreciate those little minutes. Also, it really helps me is having and It's sticking to morning and evening routine listing those. So I have them listed, which is a big help to help remind me, listed. Just going to put a little piece of cardboard so I can write on this part. Here. I'm going to write building new habits. Again. This is one at a time. And sticking with very small progress, small habits, tiny steps, I would write. Time. Something that also really helps me is little rituals for myself. So I call them little rituals that'll practices are little routines which helped me to check in with myself about these different areas of self-care. Be check-ins. I do that with my journaling. Reflection, meditation. Even though these might not be very physical, they might be more mindful, the emotional that they have a big effect on my physical while they really tie in together because if I haven't taken care of my physical, then I don't really have the time to get to the mental part, the emotional part of my self-care, even taking time to stop, to relax. Another one that I find that really helps me is to invite my daughter along. Because together we do workouts. Because at the same time it's not just me taking the time for myself, but it's also time bonding with her. I feel that I'm doing two things at once. That's not why I do it. It's also because I enjoy my time with her. So we might do workouts, we do art activities, art creativity. We might even do our nails together. We do each other's hair, saw, that is physical aspects taken care. We'll even do our legs together, even do cooking together. There's loads of things. And I find that it not only helps having that bonding time together, but it also works as a motivation when you do it with somebody else, we're both learning and growing in taking care of ourselves. Then when it comes to exercise, I get to do it with my husband. Once a week. I do it with a friend. Inviting somebody along also really helps. Not only keeping the habit of it, but also makes it even more fun in special. Another one is probably putting it on my calendar. If there's something that I want to focus on, maybe that's not a habit yet. I put it on my calendar schedule to-do list. That really helps me. I think those are a few of the ways that I do it and that I am able to get to it. I have some other space that I can even add to it as I go. As I think of things. I'm sure there's more that I can include later on. Benefits. How does it make me feel? So again, take the time to pause, to listen, to reflect, and to find these answers for you. One for me, it makes me feel I'm worthy. I'm valued. This time is important. Because I'm important. Always be reminded of that so that it doesn't feel like a selfish thing because it's not, you're taking care of yourself in order to be a better version of you for others. We can only take care of others as we have taken care of ourselves. So that's a huge lesson that I've learned. That I'm still learning every day. I get tested with every day. It's a challenge. It's difficult, but I keep telling you it to myself. That's why that's probably one of the first ones I went to include there. Another benefit I think is I feel more beautiful. I take a little bit more time to dress nicely, pick out my clothes. What makes me feel good. And even more useful. By taking care of my hair, making hairstyle that is fitting to me. Maybe putting on some anti-aging cream even though it might not make a big difference, but just the fact that I've done it and taking time for myself to do that helps me feel more youthful. I feel more energized, especially when I take the time to in exercise, to walk, to move. All those things helped me feel energized. I definitely feel healthy. I think this would be especially from good food. And enjoying my food. Even taking my vitamins. I feel relaxed, especially when I sleep well taken now, I don't usually do that, but we've been. A little rest throughout the day when I'm feeling a low. Maybe a bath helps me feel relaxed. Even reading a good book. I just include a few little things that helped me feel that way. Joyful. Definitely, I feel joyful when I do some baking. My daughter or some creating. Those are very physical things as well. Painting, drawing, all those artsy creative things stopped dot, dot because there's loads more I enjoy. Think another one. It gives me a boost. Boost of energy, a boost of inspiration, boost of clarity. Because all that's physical well-being affects my mental well-being. They get new ideas in my work, all effects each other. Another one, I feel liberated. I feel free to do what I love, to let go of things that no longer serve me. This could be in a physical way, could also be in a mental way, emotional way that I'm thinking of to do what I love. I'm thinking of those hobbies. I enjoy taking, relaxing time, new adventures, new things to explore, letting go of things that no longer serve me. I kind of see it as either maybe little habits or rituals that I've done just because I've done it all my life where I thought it was a good thing, but also to learn to question that because that's also what makes me 4. Professional Self-care Craft: Welcome to the self-care course. Today, we're going to be creating a craft page together alongside checking in and asking ourselves different questions on the topic of professional self-care. To get started, you will need your craft book or just a craft page if you prefer. I have here my book. You may think, what is professional self-care? Feel that professional self-care for me is anything related to my work-life, which could include practicing self-care while at work or adopting self-care practices that lead to a healthy work-life. Finding, balance, fulfillment, joy in my work, all that stuff. This is one of the self-care aspects that we may ignore some times or maybe not feel that it's even part or related to our self-care. But since work is in such a big part of our lives, and it does affect big-time, our well-being. I felt that it was very important, especially when it comes to practicing and learning to reduce stress regarding our careers and finding joy in our work, in our environment. That's why I've included it as part of this physical self-care course. I have here some pictures from magazines, from a book. And I just collect pictures whenever I see some that spark joy to me. I've put aside here are some that are maybe related, could be related to work. I have loads to choose from. So I'm going to see how it turns out. But as you can see, some are related to creativity, to some of the things that I love. I also have this print out that I've made available for you, which you can find on here along with my course. For this craft page, instead of finding one big picture that would take up a lot of space, I've decided to go with a few little ones. So I'm going to be cutting those out and see how it goes. I feel that this clock is meaningful for me. Since work is very much so related in time. I like these old computers. I think there's something about work in there, whether it's communications, e-mails, secretarial work. I feel that any aspect of work today includes some technology. So this is a picture I had a very old fashioned computers and phones, but it's what I had and it's what I'll use. I have here a picture of a girl. I'm going to include that because she looks happy, she looks joyful, she looks peaceful. And that's something that I really want related to my work life. I found this picture, these pictures of a little cars, looks like a little pencil holder, but I enjoy it. I think this is bringing out the fun of it. I'm doing this page personally for me and my work. And since my work is creative, I'm an illustrator, I'm an artist, I'm an author. So I'm going to do something that ties in line with that. Encourage you again to find the pictures that means the most for you. This is how you will personalize it. Now I'm taking leftover of this picture that I cut the clock from and I'm going to rip out this old paper. I love adding a little bit of different colors, textures, and I think I'm just going to make a collage of all these pictures together. For this page. Maybe it won't look as tidy and clean as all my other pictures and my other craft pages. But I'm just going with the flow and that's what I encourage you to do. That's what I feel is right for me today, for my self-care. I'm going to cut a little piece here and just add it to that name. I don't know who it is if it's anything important. But I'm just going to cover it in case it's somebody that doesn't want to be known. Here's another one of the pictures I've collected, and it's a cover of a notebook. I loved the colors of it, so I might just include that on my page as a notebook cover. I also have lined paper notebook. I'm going to rip out a page for that. To create my little notebook out of this cover. I'm just taking it and measuring it to the size that I need. Just drawing it over like this is working for me. Then I'm going to cut it. I think I'm going to include four pages in my little notebook. But feel free to add in how many you feel would be right for you. I didn't have any big plans yet besides the pictures that I chose. So I'm just following my intuition. I'm going to glue my paper in the back, especially seeing that this little card already had something in the back. That way I can use the back for some journaling prompts, for some reflection and checking in. I'm going to fold it. That way I have a double-page to work with. I'll cut it out like this. And I'm going to make my second fold and my second page. Glue those two together just by putting glue on one side, making sure they fit exactly together. So here we are creating a little book if you want, you could just make a double page. It, I always like to include lots of space for my reflections. Maybe I'm a little long winded sometimes. But I love referring back to these pages are so much meaning so much value for me. In these pages. It's not just the art or the beautiful pictures. It's also the words. I'm going to have fun and just rip up the last page. It's going to kind of tie in with the old look at the rest of my pictures. I have some more in this color was kind of a catalog page for some notebooks. And I'm going to add another little fun addition to my book. It's a little drawers set. I'm going to make out of it a little pocket. I'm going to add glue 23 sides of it. Fluid right here on the back of the cover. Let's test it out and see if it would fit a nice piece of paper without glue in the wrong place. I have a different lined paper. It's a little different color. For variety and fun. I'm just measuring it to the size of my little pocket, to the height that I need it to be. I might cut this side. Now I'm going to fold it to that right width so that it will fit in the pocket. Again, that way I can have lots more space to write. And again, leaving the little rip luck. Let's see how it fits. Perfect. I love these little pockets, these little notebooks, these extra little additions. You don't even notice it when you see the page. I think it's so much fun to lift a flap to open a book. Well, we have our little book all set. We have our pictures. I'm going to place them around on my page and see how I would like. It ought to look. By the end, I might switch things around because that's what I do. I'm trying things out here and there. I don't think there's any rhyme and reason to what goes where, except it needs to look good. Book needs to be able to open. Yes. And I don't want to forget to add my title. That way. I know really clearly when I opened my book, what this page is all about. As I do this page, there are little moments that I take advantage to do some thinking and reflection work. Even right now, as I cut these letters, It's a great time to do just that. Now I'm thinking of ways that I care for my professional and creative well-being. Also, most of all to see clearly the ways that I add up paying attention to my self-care in this area. Maybe in the areas that I can improve in. I would say for me. Some have been having clear boundaries for myself to be reminded that whatever I say, yes too, I'm saying no to something else. To be very choosy. My decisions, I guess. Another one would be two, would be work to improve or develop new skills. Maybe with taking courses or listening to podcasts, or even reading a good book on the subject. Because learning and growing is part of professional self-care. I feel that for me at least I would say that staying organized, keeping his schedule to-do list a planner, but still be flexible and gentle with myself. The one question, my motives, visions, goals, even my mission and career paths. That's something I want to do on a regular basis. And that I find very beneficial and helpful. I think about also what brings me the most fulfillment and satisfaction. I asked myself so much, what do I enjoy? What do I love about my work in my work? And that's what I focus on. That's what I put most time and effort to. I also make sure I recharge and take necessary breaks. I try my best not to work on the weekends. When I need a vacation, I take it with no guilt. Also notice when things get too hectic or stress, easy for me, you are when I get overwhelmed because that happens very often for me. So I learned and I am sure I can improve in but practicing with routines, rituals that allow for more calm and peace and balance in my life. I also find a mentor or support group, someone I can be accountable to. That is so vital, I think to my well-being in this area. I also upgrade and brighten up my workspace, give it a little make over with even simple things like adding flowers or changing the colors, are adding some extra lighting. Those are big hits for me to help me work even more efficiently and to bring inspiration. When things get out of balance for me in my work, I take time to be reminded of my y's, why am I doing this? Why did I choose this area of professionalism, or why am I doing this path? What are my goals? So just going back to the wise is really key to help keep me motivated and help keep me inspired. I encourage you to maybe jot down those ideas that work for you in this area. I have an idea for this girl. I'm going to place her on top of fluid, on top of a sheet of paper. Just because this paper is very delicate, I want to make it make her a little bit stronger and sturdier. I glue it just on the printing paper and cut her out. It doesn't have to be perfect because there'll be things over her as well. I think I'll place her there right in the middle. Now would probably be a good time to start gluing things down, especially since we have so much on our page. I don't want things to start coming out of place. Also, especially the things in the back. I know exactly where I want them. I can start making some decisions where to place everything. If I wait too long, I change my mind. So I'm just going to glue them down right away. Especially since we have so many details to work with this time. Not just one main picture related to one aspect of self-care was hard for me to choose something on the topic of professional self-care because I think it's so varied for different people and even, even just for me. Because in my work I do so many different aspects. I do creative work, do some social work. I do some inspirational work. I do computer work, communication work. It involves so many different things, so many different people. Alright, I'm going to place my book right here. I like it a little bit to the side as well, not totally straight. This clock will probably need to put it underneath my book so that my book can open This pencils and pens. Let's put it here. This will fit just good there. Now I can start gluing down my letters as well. I'm putting the glue down on the book. Just to go a little faster. I can put down two letters at once. I want to do it fairly quickly in case I need to glue them underneath something while the glue is still fresh with my pictures. So pages slowly coming together. I'm showing you a little bit of the techniques that I use to make a craft page like this. For this, oh, I might even just cut around it for variety again. Not all square shape. I like some curved lines. That's when you can get really crafty and let your wishes run free. For this one. Again, I want to create something extra fun. I'm just going to cut a strip of paper to the right size, to the right width. I'm going to make a little accordion book because I want some more space for those journaling prompts and for my thoughts and feelings. I'm just folding my paper back and forth, one side and then the other. I feel that anything to open and close to stretch is not only fun, but it's, It's also, it adds to their creativity project as well as more textile and sensory. And bringing so much benefit, even subconsciously. It's helping me to relax, to find calm and moments for me. And this is all part of self-care, especially when the professional side of things can get in the way. And it'll time to have fun to connect with ourselves to do something that we like in something that we enjoy is so rewarding. Just think of this as your creative play. I'm just showing you a few little ideas of things that I use and that I create on my craft pages. But you do what you like, you do as you feel lead. I'm going to add a black piece of paper. I like adding colors. And I'm going to add something on that side that I can tuck into the girl's head. I'm going to do go with the RIP look again. Since this is Cardboard, extra sturdy, I'm going to place it there since I only glued three sides of the girl. Might need to rip it out a little bit smaller. There, I think that fits great. And I have here another little part of this page that had all these notebooks I'm using every little bit of it. I don't like wasting. In anything, but also it just adds some extra fun to my page. There's a little bit of color, there's different lines. Going to have fun and put it here behind my pens. While I'm at it. I'm going to cut out these flowers. The color I'm going for, I guess for my page, a little bit of pinks and reds. And it fits perfectly since we already have some of this texture from the little notebook cover. As you noticed in the supplies, you can use magazine pictures, old books pictures, which is what I'm using today. You can use some scrap papers you can find in stationary stores or stickers, pop out, die cut pictures, even old cards if you want to cut them out. So I think there's so many possibilities to be brightening up and adding a little touch of decor on your page, which is what I'm doing now. We have the main pictures. Here. I have some sticker papers like I had mentioned that you can use. I have some notebooks here, which is again ties with professional work, whether it's studying something, researching something. So let's see where could we place it? There's already so much going on on my page, but it doesn't hurt to put in some more. I like adding extra little color. I'm definitely going to add this paintbrush, this page set, because that's my type of work, That's my line of work creativity. Here's another little sticker book I have. I'm looking anything else that would fit nicely with color is swan, this little stamp. I don't really need more stuff on my page, but I'm just going to add it for fun. I feel like a kid. I used to write letters and then filled up my page or fill up my card was stickers. Just have fun, enjoy the process. Some more. I have another part of this page. I like this flower. I think it could fit really nicely right next to my notebook. I love the red kind of coming out on different parts of my page. On the left side in the middle with a notebook cover. And I just need something on the right side. I feel these extra little touches of decor. I kind of like the cherry on top of the cake. And this is what makes me want to come back to these pages over and over again. It's the beautiful colors as the beautiful flowers. The other pictures that I've chosen, it's what brings me meaning and value related to the topic of my page. So don't ignore those feelings, those things that make you happy. That's all part of self-care. I'm going to glue them all down in place now so that they don't get lost. I remember where I want them one more to go. I like this one. The same one as the others, again, bringing out some of the red. As we cut out all these pictures. It's also a great time to be reflecting and that's what I love about this project because we're taking the time for ourselves. We're making the time to create something beautiful and fun. But not only that, we're creating like little toolkit for ourselves to refer back to at a later date. Some of the things that I'm learning about professional self-care. It's really paying attention to what I need at the moment, finding the balance. For me. I find that I really have to leave work at work, especially because I work from home. It's sometimes difficult and a challenge too cut off from work because it's right in my home. And that's where I spend the rest of my day with my family. So I need to even make improvements in that area. Work stays in my office and then the rest of my home is for fun and play and relaxation. Now we're ready to move on to, I have here again on the download sheet the words that say self-care. Because we're focusing on our self-care. I'm going to include that somewhere on my page. I'm cutting it out. Maybe not square, but this time following the curves at the letters, place it here on top of the book. That way it also hides the little title of that notebook. Instead, I have my own self-care notebook, professional self-care. I'm personalizing what I have to work with. Moving on to some of these journal prompts and questions that I went to include in here. I have all these four pages and I've here for questions that I've put for myself. I think it will fit perfect in there. I didn't even plan exactly to have the four pages. But I did know that I had these four questions. I just printed out these with a black background. I think it will stand out nice with contrast. And I'm going to glue maybe went on each the page. Let's start out by this one. What do I love? What I love to do? And I'm going to fold it with the crease of my book. Next one. Maybe what I'm good at. I think if we start with knowing those things, so it doesn't just grow our confidence or builds me up in confidence, but I think it kind of builds me up in so many other ways as well that others need. This is also paying attention to my surroundings, my neighborhood, my community, how I can give to others, whether it's related to profession, I think it's related to profession, not just in my work, maybe. What do my co-workers need wood? Does my boss need from me? Lastly, what pays? Well, maybe you never took the time to question yourself in that I haven't. So that's why I'm including it here because I think it's important. I want to thank I want to know what I'm valued at. I feel that valuing myself is very important. If we have some time to journal and add in and fill up all these papers now, I have my gel white pen, which I like to use once in awhile, especially on this black paper. I'm going to just write a little quote for myself as a little gentle reminder. Start where I am. Use what I have and do what I can. So this is a perfect reminder for me of the possibilities for me. That's success. Because really anybody can do that. I don't have to wait for the next thing or the next job opportunity, or to feel I'm so confident or to take this extra cores to have this certification. I can start with what I have right now. I've printed out, I've typed up and print it out a few little prompts for myself. That way it will save me a little bit of time. I think I'm going to glue these questions here. These are just general questions related to my professional well-being. I can include those for you too in case you're interested. I'm going to number them 123. That way I can answer these questions. This little accordion book. So I'm making sure that the folds are the same. Just so it opens and closes easily and nicely. Here we go. I'm going to add the numbers so I know where I can answer these questions. I think on this side I'm going to place I'm going to answer number one. Decide it's a little bit bigger. I'm going to answer question 23. Should be enough space. I'm just doing the prep work here. Again, for these questions, I even jotted down some little thoughts, actually even more questions related to those big questions to give me an idea. What I loved to do might be a little bit too vague, too broad, too general. So I've included even some more prompts, question prompts for myself, which I'm going to add here. I don't want it to take up so much space. I'm just going to put a piece of tape and that way I can open and close it. Still have enough place for my answers. Is I take the time to journal. Here's the next one. What am I good at? That's a difficult one to ask yourself. I know it was for me, so just having these little extra prompts to jot down my memory or maybe different little ideas or cues, clues as a big help for me. Maybe some of the skills I've developed at my job or business went knowledge I've gained through the years. What do people say I'm really good at or what they like about me, what comes naturally and easily to me. Those are just a few ideas. Next one is what do others need? Again, I can ask my friends or family what they'd like to learn from me. What are people's pain points? How could I simplify someone's life with the work that I do? What do others talk about? What are other struggling with? I love working with people and being a innovative. I think I'm sensitive to that as well. What do people need and want? And I think that's an aspect of something I can do in my work. The last one, what pays? Well, how much? How much do I want? So I can break it down for myself. Be very detailed and specific. From what avenues, from where had to successful look like to me my wishes for financial freedom, my goals, steps of actions. So those are just a little few ideas of things that I could, ways I could answer this question for myself. There we have all our little r for questions and our question prompts. Feel free to use these or to personal, personalize them for yourself and maybe include different questions that would speak more to you regarding your work. I'm a creative, I'm an artist. I work from home, so this might be more related to me. That's why I'm adding lots of things related to creativity, is what I'm going to include in this little pocket here. Creativity at Work. So I'm not sure what I'm going to place here yet, but whether it's creative ideas, creative goals, creative wishes, creative mindset or quotes LC, but I'm going to have fun. I have a string here that I think I'm going to add. This little wonky thing is driving me nuts. So I'm going to do something too. It down in place. Let's see if glue works. Not sure. I'm taking the n, So it's good, it's going to help it not unravel. Little bit more glue to it. I think I'll even add a piece of tape to make it extra strong. I just want something to keep it closed. And also I think it's a fun addition to my scrap page, adding a little tie in there. And this piece of tape also looks good. One end will be on this side. I'm going to cut it in the middle. However size I need. I think it's a bit too long. And I might place the other end. Let's see, either under my book or under this little paint box sticker. It's sticky, but I think I could lift it up a bit and add some glue to make an extra sturdy and strong so it can stay in place. I push it down. Firmly, give it a nice little tie. There we go. Now it's not too wonky and wobbly. Just trim it however you want to for these journal prompts. So either you can go ahead and do them now with me, or you can do it at a later time when you know that you'll have some quiet time and extra time for you. How often I create the page and then later on, I like to reflect, put on some quiet music and take the time to ask myself these questions. This is where you get to personalize it just for you. Really listened to your heart. This is true self-care. Self-care at its best, paying attention to you because you're important, your answers are valuable. Your answers are key for you. Just you don't have to feel that you have to perfect them in any way. Nobody else is going to see this page, but you. So feel free to add in all those wishes and specially what you love, whether you told anybody or not. This is the time to tell yourself and to allow all these feelings, all these thoughts. What am I good at? So review those little prompts so that you can answer this honestly and fully. There is no right or wrong. This is solo time for you. I'm guessing that you're willing to do that because you are taking this course. You chose to take this course for you. Maybe you have a job and you feel like you need to change. You're looking into new ideas, new aspects, a new career, and you don't know where to turn to. Or you're in-between jobs or maybe you have a few. None of them make you feel happy or fulfilled. Maybe you have a job and it's just too much, too much work, too much pressure. You're not able to find the balance that you need. In all these cases to take the time to check in for yourself with or without a job. Because I think our job is not just a job, it's at least for me, it's really where my confidence lies. It shouldn't have to be, but I think it is, it's what I feel that I'm good at. Wood. Others will see that I'm good at. I have to find that in the first. If I can validate myself, five fine confidence in myself and others will see it as well. I didn't think I would end up writing so much under what I'm good at. But I think once you start to notice, once you pay attention and are sensitive to maybe what others tell you. Maybe something reminds you of something. What others need. Again, what are those little prompts to help you find these answers? Refer back to them, and then check in with your heart. Just right. The first thing that comes to mind, you have more space on the side to personalize it at a later date if you want to add to it. What's so nice is referring back to this page later on. Maybe when you've changed goal or changed career, you'll have something to look back on to see how it helped you down the line. Last one, I'm going to do it at a later date. I guess that's a very personal one related to your finances and what pays. I'll let you personal that, personalized that for yourself. Moving on to our little accordion. These questions, why is it important to me that I'm successful? I'm going to just put this book down so that I can have a flat surface to work on, to write on. I'm just letting myself express it all in words as best as I can. It's not going to come out perfect. It's not anything that I'm going to polish up. It's just my thoughts, feelings. Yeah. I don't even know how to answer this question. I like to challenge myself sometimes with these prompts. That's why you find questions that are even difficult. For myself that I've never asked myself before. I think by doing these, by questioning myself in these different areas. It's helping me to learn to express things to people as well. I can talk more clearly to my husband, to my friends, express some of these feelings and emotions not related to this, but maybe related to something else. I think it takes practice and if we feel good and honest with ourselves, I think it helps us to be honest with others as well. What I thought was just going to be one mine, I filled up the page now. I could probably add even more to this dot, dot, dot. So question two, what is holding me back? I guess what, from feeding successful or from being successful? What do I want to let go of? Use? If you've seen some of my other courses, this is little journal prompt that I like to do very often. Because I feel that it's so important to let go of those negative feelings. Putting them on paper. I'm not ignoring them or distracting myself with something else. I am accepting them, all of them. That then I'm moving on to what do I want to focus on? Which is the next question. My wishes plans, action steps, even dreams and goals. For my professional self-care in general. There's so many things I could probably be right on this one. I'm just going to stay very general, I guess. But you can go as deep as you want, as personal as you want, as practical as you want, or as emotionally. I think down the line things will come to you. Like me. I come up with different things every time. I look at this page, I think of other things I went to include or add. That's the great thing about it. You can even add an extra little paper or journal prompt for yourself or add something to an existing pocket. For this one, I'm just going to cover up the middle word that says notes because I'm going it to use it for something else. I'm going to include some affirmations for myself. I love telling myself these things that I want to feel. Just imagining myself already being where I want to be. Whether its goals, whether it's growing in confidence, whether it's a specific career path, whether it's a skill that I want to be good at. This just helps me feel great. I remind myself of these. I read them over and over again. Looking at this page before I start my work, I'm going to include lots related to creativity again, because my work does involve lots of creativity course, there's always the technical aspects, the details that aren't so fun, that just have to be done. Any work has those side of things as well. So I use these affirmations as I started my work. I read them out. I remind myself of them when I feel I need some extra motivation or I feel some tension or stress building up for, I just need some more joy and confidence in my work. So I grabbed my book and I read a few of these and it just lights me up and kind of lifts my load. Oops, I don't have enough space. And I want to cover the back of this as well. Just by adding this paper, I have more space to write some more affirmations. It helps me visualize what I am doing, where I am improving and growing and what I'm getting done. It reminds me when I'm capable of. So now that I've added some extra paper, I can continue on with my affirmations. Words that I want to encourage myself with words that I know will keep me motivated in my work, in my creativity. Let this be really special and personal for you. Maybe it's aspects of creativity, maybe it's aspects of learning to say no to finding joy in the little things that you do. Maybe finding balance in your work so that there's less stress and I have way more space to add to this, which is the wonderful part of it. Oh, and another biggie that I can't forget, one that's extra fund is celebrate, I celebrate. My winds, my little progress, even a tiny little step of action towards some difficulty or a new challenge, a new skill that I'm learning or practicing with. I find that just treating myself too little moment of celebration of validating myself, even if it's with a few affirmations or an extra special treat or snack. Those are little things that make a big difference. So I encourage you to do that as well. Find out what is your special tree for celebrating your winds. All right, well, there we have it. Our professional self-care craft page. I hope that this was released special and meaningful for you and that you'll be able to refer back to this page and really be encouraged and motivated to continue in your goals and wishes and taking care of yourself. 5. Social Self-care Craft: Hello, and welcome to another self-care craft page. Today we're going to be diving in to the aspect of social self-care. I invite you to get your supplies ready. You'll need to start off with your water paints sheet of paper. I have here an A4 size page. I have my watch, a little bit of paints. I just have some light beige and a little light pink. Whatever colors you enjoy, what colors suit you. It can choose and loads of water. We're going to start off with kind of measuring our page in line with our craft book. My craft book is sort of a square shape. I'm going to take my pencil and just draw a few random shapes. I'm just going to do a little bit of paint making sure I use lots of water coin to start with a little beige color. Just make some very quick strokes. I'm going for the very rough type of look for this. I'm starting off with the painting because that way it gives time for it to dry. I'm going to take it a little bit of pink, so it's a slight pink color. Maybe this one as well. Very simple. Tiny little bit of color. Back to Beijing. For this one. I'm kind of letting the water just go where it likes. In the end, I'm not even sure how it's going to look when it's dry. That's okay. That's all part of it. I find that painting is so relaxing. That's it. That was very easy and quick. I'm going to put it aside and just let it dry for now. While we move on to the next part of our page. Now we can bring in our craft book or if you have just a regular notebook, that's fine too. The Craft page that I'm going to be working on, I'm just going to do one side of it. As you saw in the supplies needed. We're going to need to find a picture related to social self care. So you decide whatever that means for you. You can go through books, old books or magazines or newspapers. I found this picture from an old calendar that I saved from a long time ago. I thought that this suited me well for social self-care. I'm going to cut that out. You decide what you would like. Maybe can even be a photo of you and a friend. It could be you doing a fun activity together, doing something that you love. I love this. They're having a little coffee tea time together. One sparked inspiration for me related to my social self-care because I enjoy doing that with my friends. I'm going to choose because this is the picture I've found. I'm going to kind of play around it with the rest of my page. So this is the main attraction that I want for this page because it paints a picture for me of social self-care. I'm also going to take a piece, the page paper. If you don't have another color page, you can also use a color that you like or just regular white paper. This is the one I'm going to quiz for now. I'm going to cut it out to the size of my picture plus a little extra. I would like to leave a little border around it. I'm using my ruler to just draw a line. And then I'll cut that out. Just like to include different colors, different textures into my craft page. Kind of adds to the craftiness of it, sparks my creativity as well. Now I'm going to include another little piece the same size as my picture, just to make a fold that my picture can open and close. And since this paper is very strong and sturdy, It's kind of like cloth. Half paper, half class. But regular paper will work fine too. I'm going to include this behind it. I can already go ahead and glue the hat. I'm putting glue on half of it. While I put my picture on top. Then I'll fold in the other half. Add some glue to that. Down in the center of my paper. There we go. Now we have a little opening. Know from my other courses, I loved to have any open flaps to be able to include as many things as I can onto my page. And social self-care is an important aspect of self-care as well. Social self-care for me is anything related to my connections with other people who are social beings after all, aren't we? That's why prioritizing some type of social activities is important incident. But oftentimes life gets in the way. I know. I get so busy and overwhelmed with everyday things and this gets put on the back-burner many times. But in the midst of my day, I'm continually involved with others, whether it be in person or by phone, by mail, online somehow for work or recreational purposes. But I realized that by being intentional about each of these, I can probably improve my level of happiness and well-being. Also, not only paying attention to what I can bring into my relationships, but checking in on the effects they have on me, that's a really important one. Because some relationships can be socially and mentally uplifting and fulfilling, but others could be draining and negative. So it's important to ask yourself about each one. I've noticed as I've laid that doing something intentional socially is also part of my self-care. Taking part in certain activities that nurture and deepened my relationships is so vital. For example, having a support group of friends and, or family members that I can really trust and rely on when I need help. All right, so moving on, now that we have our main picture, we're going to work on our title. In the list of supplies you saw that we needed some cut-out letters. And we're going to spell out the word social. I cut these out from old newspapers or magazines. I'm just going to cut them out with you here to the right size. They're all different fonts, all different shapes and sizes, even colors. Well, black and beige. Before I glue my title down, I'm going to maybe add a little background to the corner of my page, either on this side or this side, I'm not sure yet. I have some pink paper like this, so this is just a scrap of wrapping paper. I'm going to cut a straight line the side of my page. I could either put. This side, maybe I'll do that sign and I'm going to rip the rest. I'm going to glue that down already. Actually just glue these two sides in case I want to use the middle part for a little pocket. I'm not sure yet. I'll see how it goes. Sometimes I have things a little bit more planned out. Other times, not at all. Today I had my letters ready and I had my picture ready, but the rest, it's just, you just go as it leads to go by inspiration. That's what's so fun about these pages. My time to play with my creativity. Now I'm going to decide where to place my title. In case I wanted to use this as a little flap. I'm going to just cut out a little paper and put it in there so that I'm sure there's enough space for it. See if I use it or not. Using cardboard. Just so that it's nice and firm. And I find that if it's too thin, it wouldn't slide in very easily. So we'll see, I'm not sure if I'm going to keep the scenario or not. But I like all these little hidden pockets and flaps and little slips of paper coming out more space to journal and dig deep into my self-care. Now I want to place to write self-care somewhere. I'm taking just a regular sheet of paper and I'm going to write self-care. If you want. You can also use the printout that I have made available. It's got these words written on it. You don't feel so comfortable to write your own. I'm just going to check the size. You can also give it a nice shape if you want. Either curved ends or a little ribbon like shaped like this or flag. That's kind of fun. Then I'm going to trace it over with my black pen. Here. I'm gonna give it an extra little black side. We can stand out a little more. Course, feel free to use your favorite font, your favorite writing. Then I'm going to erase the pencil. Then I can glue it into place. Like it going a little bit over the L like that. It's kind of fun. I'm going to glue this one down, but I'm going to just go down three sides because I'm going to leave this part open. I'm gluing it more towards the left side as far as possible that I can it can still open and close. We go now I'm going to use my ruler just to make sure that it's nice opening and sure you know why there's this opening. I'm going to use it as a pocket. We have this little thing that comes out. We have this that opens up and we have a pocket underneath here. Now, opening this part up, I'm going to use some leftover of this wrapping paper to make another little pocket, like a little envelope. I'm going to make it straight line. Let's measure. It's about 15 centimeters. I'm going to make it it's like 11 centimeters. Want the nice part of the paper. I'm going to cut that out. But I love about these pages is that there's so much art involved, so much creativity. You use your hands, you're using your Coordination Skills. You're using thought process. You're deciding where you want to put things, how you want to put things where you want to glue them, the shape, the size. So there's so much involved in this. So first I loved the artsy part of it. And then later on as you'll see, we'll dive into more of the maybe the mentor aspect of it. Taking a little deeper. I was thinking to cut the science off the corners. Just for fun and variety. Again, different shape. Now I'm going to glue the sides, just leave the top open so that I can use it as a pocket. Do you know what, if you would want this would be a wonderful activity to actually share with a friend. You could create your own craft page, social self-care craft page, even together. And I'll have fun with that, be at least the creating part of it. And then you can always on to the more reflecting part alone. During your journal time, your morning routine time, didn't reflection time. Now, if you take out your download the attachment page with all the patterns for this page, you'll find three questions, three words, who, what, and how. These we're going to use for our little pockets here. I'm going to cut them out. I'm going to leave the bottom part so that I can glue it onto my paper. You should have your three like this. They should fit quite nicely. Hopefully they'll fit well for you as well underneath here. Now you can either take regular paper, again, regular white paper. If you wanted to, you could use little notepad paper. So I have different scraps of lined papers here. I might choose my swimming or one. I'm going to glue little white flap underneath. I find that it's easier to glue them first before I cut them out. That way, I can make sure to cut them out to the exact size that I need. Then I'm going to cut them out to the right size. I liked the length of it. And I'm just going to follow here the lines. I don't know how much of social self-care you've been thinking about. It's definitely something new for me. I've been growing and practicing with as of late and relieve questioning myself about. That's what I love about these craft pages because it really gives me time to do that. Not only to reflect as I'm creating the page right now, I'm thinking about my friends. I'm thinking about who I consider a friend, why I consider them a friend, what they bring to our friendships. So there's and loads of questions I could be thinking about right now. That's why I've included these little questions here. What and how. You can put them in whatever order you would like. Here I have my little pocket and I'm going to write, and it'll question here so that I can add another little, another little journaling paper and here. So I'm going to maybe choose this paper again for a different look. Just going to measure. You can draw a line if you want to make sure that it's extra strength. You can either use regular paper, again, regular printing paper. I find it fun to use these little lines papers for variety and also it helps me to journal on a straight line. We have another little pocket to fill. Now we're going to go back. Remember it the way beginning, we did our little painting page. I'm going to put my book aside for now. I'm going to use my black pen to draw over the little box and you can use a ruler if you want. But I'm just going to use my hand because I like the hand-drawn duck. Kind of like with our painting. We didn't do anything to straight and perfect. So I'm following along that. I'm drawing little picture frames. I'm sure you can tell. And to make some just very simple, straightforward, I might, might make each one a little bit different for fun. If it's corners. I like to use some of these little moments to have flagged, to be mindful, especially related to the topic that we're working on. So this is a great opportunity for that as I'm just doodling and tracing over these picture frames. I'm going to be thinking a little bit more about my social self care. Social self-care encourages me to maintain and be mindful of what is important and meaningful to me in my relationships. For example, I recognize in myself the desire for the more personal one-on-one deep conversations rather than the big group settings or Robert parties. They can be great and all for certain occasions or maybe special days, birthdays, or end of the year. But it's not going to feed me emotionally. At least not anymore, like maybe it did when I was younger. Because we all change and evolve and It's self-care is paying attention to those changes and letting that be okay as well. I think that social Self-care is really about all my interactions with others. Loads of different types of interactions throughout my day. But in this page seems I'm just going with the flow here, but I'm delving a little bit more into my friendships. Really personalize this to you. Maybe that's the way you want to go or you want to make it a little broader for all your interactions may be work-related, professional, or family or friends. You can include them all. But as you'll notice, as we do this page, it will be a bit more specific to my friendships. I encourage you to do what is right for you. In a moment. We're going to use these little picture frames to add photos or drawings. You can draw them if you prefer. Our friends of our best friends. I've only made six just because that's what's going to fit on my page. You could always make them smaller if you wanted to include it all. Passport size photos are going to make my photos a little bit bigger. I went to include just really my best friends. If you wanted to, you could also use the patterns I've made for you on the attached file. If you prefer, then drawing itself, then it would go a little bit quicker. You wouldn't have to draw them. You could just paint over my drawings. If you want to draw them yourself, then you can take this time to do so. Now that we finished drawing them, I'm going to just cut them out. You can either leave a little white border line around each one or cut them straight on the lines up to you. I encourage you to find a photo for each of your friends. Again, if you don't have some, like, I don't think I could find one of each of my friends. Either I'll ask them for one or I'll take one with them the next time I see them. I might just sketch a picture of them. Feel free to do what you prefer. And also what you would like to do into those little cues for yourself, because that's really part of self-care to That's what I asked myself continually. As I make these craft pages came out. What color do I want to use? What picture? Sometimes I have a really hard time deciding when that happens. I just asked me, okay, which one brings me the most joy? Which one makes me smile? Depending on how much time you have. This also maybe what you'll choose to do. If you only have time, if it's easier for you to print them out, it still takes a little time to find the photos. Maybe that's quicker for you then to try to sketch out your friends. I know if I try to sketch out my friends won't look very much like them. Have to be sure to include their names. But it's also fun. Part of the child injured, part of the creative clay of this activity. Now if you're trying to think as I am as well, what friends would you include here? If you're only making six like me? That list six closest friends. I have loads of friends, but I'm going to include the ones here that really make a difference in my life. Those that really add something. Whether it's Friendship, Council, support, encouragement, positivity. They're there when I need them. I know that I can tell them anything. They're not going to judge me. Look down on me. I tell different friends, different things. Semi get really deep with I might tell them everything, almost everything that I tell my husband. I think my husband is my best friend. I think that's a good thing. I have another friend and she'll understand maybe some more women, the things that my husband doesn't have to get into or getting involved with. But I'll also get very deep with her and she's a real amazing support to me emotionally as well, spiritually to I really look up to her. As you're doing these, this is reflecting and relaxing. That's why you can be mindfully thinking about what you want to include, who you would like to include. I haven't measured these with my craft page, so I really hope they'll fit. Now I'm going to take my craft book back and open this page. And this is where we're going to include little picture frames. Let's see. Now comes to deciding moment. How do I want to place them? It looks like I could have made them a little bit smaller. That's not gonna look so great. You can also, you can also tighten them up. They can overlap like this. And I can include a tiny little photo of them as well. I don't have to fill up the whole thing. You play around and depending on the shapes, sizes, colors, and you decide what's fits better. I'm going to use a little bit of TAC to put each one down on my paper. So I'll need six of them. Then I'm going to use the same thing to include the photos. That way if I ever want to change them around, move them around. Friendships change, you evolve, you change. You won't feel bad about it either. I'm just going to put a little dab of that. Also because I think I'm going to change my picture frame size and make them a little smaller for the next time. But for now I'm just going to use them. We have a pretty crowded page there. It looks fun and artsy and cute. Just wanted to make sure that it closes well. Next time I'll make them a little bit smaller so they can sit and I can see the full picture frame. But for now, this is okay. Now I'm going to take my paper and I'm going to write down some other words that I can think of about friendship or another way. I just think this is fun too, and I'm going to maybe included on my picture here. You could either print them out or you could write them yourself. Different words that come to mind when I think of friendship. So the first one being friends, Another one would be companion. Maybe soulmate. Thinking about these different words I can, thalamus, I can almost relate certain friends to each one of them. Confident, somebody that you can tell everything to. My support. Maybe a best friend, listening ear, maybe a playmate. Anyway, those are just a few. I'm going to cut them out. Again. This is for you to personalize. These are some of the words that I thought of, but maybe you can think of different ones. Maybe you'd like to list some words down unrelated to all your social networks or connections, not just related to friends, which I have done here. That way you might have even broader look at your social self care, ill-being. Some other words that come to mind at the moment would be contact, intimacy, links, networking, connectivity, bonds, relationships, groups, friendships, things in common. Companionship, Associates. I'm sure there are loads more that you could use and personalize for you. Then you can see where you want to glue them. If you wanted to, you could even put them all around your picture. Going to try and cover some of the spots that I want to get rid of. For example, this blue here. Depending on the picture you have, YOU CAN them around or you can even put them on top. If they're all around your picture actually it kind of hides the fact that I picked your frames are too big. So it could be a solution for you as well. Now the next part for this craft page is adding a little bit more color and fun is when you want to take maybe some stick accrues or magazines or crafts, cutouts or old cards. There's a card book. I could choose something from there. I have a piece of paper with some flowers that I could cut out. I have some little hearts here that I could pop out. I have some other ones. So I'm going to just look at what I have and see if there's something that sparks something enjoyable and fun for my page. It's so fun. Best friends here. I hadn't noticed that before. You'd have fun little pages like this. I find that it's so useful and it saves me time as well. Although it's just extra, I wouldn't probably add them if I didn't have them. Maybe these roses could be fun to include somewhere. So I'm going to just cut them out and see how it looks. Sometimes I find that if some pictures have really thin lines like this, like the stem, just going to cut it out and I can draw it after it would be a lot easier. I could either have the puppies there or not. I could also go with just flowers. If something like that. I'm thinking I'm going to start gluing on all these flowers down. For this one, I decided to put it on this piece of paper. I can pull it in and out easily. Maybe I'm going to use a few of these little hearts. Again, anything that brings meaning related to friendships, social social, self-care. I took it to mean friendships. But there are also different social circles. You might have some social circles related more to your work. To me, it's still kind of related to friendship for me. I feel that we have to be related to work. We have to be close in some way to be able to work together well. Whether it's being a listening ear, being a support, help encouragement. Because there's times when it all have our ups and downs. So even if we're not super close as in telling each other everything, we did our final touches. That's one of my favorite parts. I'd love that. Now, our pages really looking quite full. Now we're ready to move on to some more of the reflection time. Maybe filling up our page with some of these line pages with some prompts related to our social, self-care and well-being. This is really a time to check in and to personalize what it would mean for you. I'm going to take my pen, maybe an ink pen or a ballpoint pen on here. I would like to add ways, ways to know I have good friends. Just like being clear on some of these things and taking the time to stop and write about them is so beneficial as well. It gives me time to think about some things that I maybe never questioned before. This is a time to personalize it. I'm just going to write a few examples of things that come to mind. These are just a few that I thought of. They make me feel included. Our friendship is equally important to both of us. My biggest cheerleaders, they genuinely want the best for me. We thrive off our times together. We bring each other positivity. I can count on them for their honest opinion. They share valuable advice. I can tell them anything. They listen without judgment. They still love me even at my age. First. They accept all of me. Those are ways to know I have good friends. So I think some of these things are for some of my friends. It doesn't mean that all my friends have to be that for me. But that's when I know that they are really true friends. Here. I'm going to find it'll photos. Or again, like I said, either write their name or even sketch them. And I'm not going to do that now because it's going to take too long. But you can do that as you feel that. Going to write down here a few of the ways that I practice social self-care in my life today. Maybe where I'd like to improve in a little more. For example, hang out with friends, volunteer, I volunteer at the food bank once a month, keep in touch with family. I call my mom once a week, have a Zoom call with my best friend, even though she's on the other side of the world. It'll keep in touch. Go on a date with my husband. Balance finding balance in social media, WhatsApp, voice messages with certain friends. When it's complicated to find the exact times to meet or to call in-person, walk with a friend once a week and with certain wines I leave nodes are little messages on their phone. So those are just a few little examples that come to mind right now. Some that maybe I'd like to improve in a little more would be to ask for help when I need it. I know this is very humbling and it's difficult for me. And another one would be meet new people, maybe business meetings or business events. That's also a tough one for me because I'm very shy. I'm an introvert. Another one, engage with like-minded people online. So maybe meeting other creatives, other artists who feel the same way about mindfulness, self-care, creativity. I think that would be interesting for me. But again, it's stepping out of my level of comfort would be a bit uncomfortable and new for me. Host a game night with friends. That's something I'd love to do. We all bring a little something, a little snack, and we enjoy evening together. Notice when relationships build me up or aware me out. This is not always easy to figure out, but it's a good opportunity to check-in. Be willing to say no. I've had to say no to a few friendships lately because I just didn't feel they were right for me anymore and that's really tough to do. So I don't want to feel guilty about it, but I just want wisdom to handle it in the right ways. And most of all to notice it when I need to say no and only engage in the activities that I really deeply want. I realized that for my social self care I need to be very choosy because my time is important. So just saying yes to anybody, any friend and family member at anytime of the day would not be helpful or healthy for my self-care and well-being. Making sure that I check in about that as well. I'm sure you can think of more and I encourage you to personalize these different ones for you. And in your situation, how you find to be socially cared for. Here I'm going to right sub-questions again for myself that I will take the time to reflect on and journal about later on. Who do I look up to or admire? Who do I look up to for advice? Who do I go to for help and support? Who do I want to hang out with and just have fun? Then there's more room to even write some more who questions? I think this is important because we're questioning ourselves. Because by questioning more about our friends, I think we learned to understand more about ourselves as well. And it kind of goes back to self-love. What do we want? What makes us truly happy as we question our friendships or about our social life? What, what do I look for in a friendship or a relationship? Whether it be a co-worker or a boss, could be a friendship or relationship. What does each of my friendships today bring me? Again, that's really important for self-care because if there's some that are not bringing us anything positive, that more negative than it's not a true friend, It's not a good relationship, a good friendship. And I've had some of those and they've just brought me down and I've had to let go of them because they no longer served me wasn't what I needed at the time. As I was changing and evolving and especially now as I paying more attention to my self-care, I really want those friends who will support me in this and build me up that whole judge me or criticized me for where I'm going or how I'm changing or evolving. I see that that is such an important one for practicing more self-care and self-love. Final, how? How do I want to improve in my social self-care? And y, being very clear on the y will help us to keep us motivated in making some changes or improvements. How can I be a better friend or companion related to that? More of a support in my circle of friends. So again, those are just a few that I would like to reflect on and pay attention to. I can either journal about them or journal my answers in my journal. Or if you have enough space, you could even replied on the back of your paper. Something else you can do is just include some other papers with your answers inside here. If you would like to keep them all in your book. That might be something that I will do and you can do whatever feels right for you. I like having everything in one place. I know that I can come back to this one to review it, to be reminded of it. See where I've made progress and where do I want to continue to make changes? Here? I'm going to include a beautiful quote on friendship, or maybe two of them. Something that will stick with me, something that will help support me in this social self-care. And of course, feel free to jot down any other words that you would like or feeling words. I love to include things like that. For example, I feel loved. That's part of the journal fund. Makes me feel joy. I also feel content. When I have good friends. When I know that my friends are real, they're honest. There'll be honest with me. I also feel fulfilled. So brings me level of comfort. Not to forget confidence because I feel good about my friends. I have good friends, definitely makes me feel confident in myself as well. Like I had written there, like my cheerleaders. Of course, I know that I need to be my own cheerleader, but it does really help to get it from somebody as well. Alright, well, that was our social self-care craft page. I hope that it brought you lots of joy, lots of meaning. You'll continue to improve and work on this area of self-care by continuing to journal, question yourself, the check-in, and most of all, to notice and realize what makes you happy and what brings you the most joy, most love, where you feel at your best in your social self care. Thank you for joining me and I'm looking forward to the next time with you. Bye for now. 6. Bonus - Examples of More Self-care Craft Pages: Hello beautiful Souls. I'm sharing here in this little extra video a few examples of other craft pages that I've recently made to give you a few more ideas of what you can do as you let your creativity run wild and get inspired. These pages here are more on the topic of physical self-care. But of course, as you've noticed, I've taken time to dig deep and ask myself some very personal and mindful questions as well, because I feel that physical and emotional well-being tie in so much together. We're talking about physical of care or health our bodies, how we can take better care of ourselves. I'm showing a few examples of the ones that I've made here related to that. These pages are chock-full of little routines and practices that I've been doing, as well as journal prompts for myself after checking in and noticing some areas in ways that I went to continue to make progress in regarding my self-care and well-being. And there are loads of little treasures and hidden secrets packed into little flaps or envelopes or secret openings on these pages. Even sound that I forgot about as I was filming. That may be our end up making more courses on these at a later date. Let me know if you'd like that. In any case, I wanted to show you what you are capable of doing. After you view my few courses on the subject of combining your love for art and creativity together with self-care. If I wanted to also share with you here a few of the benefits that I and others have received after making these art and creativity makes me happy. It's my joy and passion. I get a sort of high from it. I'm paying attention to my physical needs, my emotional needs. At the same time. I use my creativity to facilitate soul-searching and bring to light and conscious thoughts. Kenny, sort of art form allows me to express what I have a difficult time pretty into words. It works as a memory builder. Whatever I take time to do and create with my hands, it has a greater effect and meaning for me. It becomes like a concrete manifestation of my imagination and thought. It's subconsciously working for my good. I have a beautiful work of art that I feel proud of and can refer back to as often as I need. It helps grow my confidence as I see all that I'm doing to better myself care. It encourages me to take time for me with no other distractions. I can't very well multitask at the same time. It's concentrated. Meantime, it helps me realize that I'm important. I'm a value and I deserve this time. I'm able to reflect and asked myself about so many questions that I never took the time for it before. I feel I'm learning more about myself as I do these craft pages. I realized that creativity is not so much about the end result, but about the listening during the process. It feels like play. But at the same time, I'm equipping myself with an amazing gift. Not just for now, but to use and be reminded of for as long as I need it. When I feel a low of inspiration, when I need a little pause to reflect. When I feel I could use a boost of joy, peace, or calm. I go back to my craft book. I open a random page and I reflect and focus on it. The more detailed, the more sensory play, the more I love it and the more it helps me connect within. It brings up memories of how I made it past a stressful situation or a difficult moment. And it just suddenly builds me up in confidence, encouraged for what I'm going through today. I feel proud and satisfied with beautiful creative artsy work. I allow it to bring me so much depth and wisdom as I related to my situation. Now, I can continue to add little notes to personalize it to what I'm going through right now today. There's room for evolving with how I'm changing and growing and what I need at the moment. I just need to add a little note or an extra little flap into the envelope. What I love most about these craft pages is that I have a way to connect with my teen daughter. This is an outlet that we both can enjoy and have fun with together as we grow and progress in our self-care. It's a wonderful, meaningful experience. I can share with even a friend. I'm equipping myself with a self-care toolkit that I can continue to use down the line. This has become an outlet for the pains, fears, humiliations, challenges or disappointments. It helps me to check within the strength, wisdom, grace and joy to journey on. This has become art healing for my soul, for my mental health, and for my whole well-being. These are just a few of the many benefits that I'm sure you can also receive from paying attention to your self-care. The things that you love. It might be music or dance, of course, sewing or cooking, or art in any form. So I encourage you to take the time for those things that light you up, that make you happy in that gives you new energy to journey on. Remember, to take care of yourself because yes, you are that important. Self-care is one of those things that is essential. But we often don't take enough time for it or we feel that we don't have the time for it. But taking care of yourself, your body, your health, and mental well-being is so important to not just feel better and be happier, calmer, more joyful. But you're also able to be a greater help to others. Take care and I'll see you next time.
