1. Intro: Hello everyone. My name is Ahmed. I'm a digital artists and creative director working from past seven years. I've been very lucky to work with major brands including United Nations Real Madrid academy, Pepsi, Government of Canada. In this lesson, I will teach you Adobe Photoshop from scratch from start. We will explore every tool, every fact and filters, photoshop, and we get to now basically and complex understanding of Photoshop workflow or Photoshop. And we will learn how to create graphics, how to retouch pictures and edit pictures, how to manipulate everything from the basic level. The class is divided into parts. And in this class we will learn layout and introduction of prohibition of the use of selection tools with life examples, image properties, editing, eye retouching of working with layers, color's brushes, texts, shapes, combining of emoji is masking effects. After the end of class, you will have also examples of how to create flyers and social media post. Also, I will keep updating this class. So in the future, you will also learn how to make these two paintings, complex choosers, your brushes, how to develop protocol and inflation and other arts things. By the end of class, you will have enough basic skills you can use for the number of projects such as art exhibitions, posters, album ours, commercial use. So let's start this class. 2. Photoshop Layout: So here is the main interface of Photoshop. We can create a new file or open any file by selecting opener. We'll create new file and we can select any type of file requirement which we want to do. For example, we can do a Default Photoshop Size, or we can use the International Paper size, A4, A3. We can select it as a photo and then there's landscape mode or its portrait or any custom side. We can also use the Photoshop file for web, for film, video, icon, art and illustration for anything. So we will select it for the art decision, just for the example and then we'll click Okay on it. So this is the main interface of the four tissue. In the left side of our column, we have all the tools or Photoshop which we will use. For example, we have selection tool. We have different kinds of selection tool. We have less O2, we have color selection tool or objects selection tool. We have the crop tool, and we have Brush tool, eraser tool on the left side, or for sure we have all the tools that we required to use on the top side of Photoshop. The specifications of all these tools typically want to change any settings about this tool. We can use the toolbar and we can change the settings of this to the right side of following, we have different settings. We have colors, we have switches, we have gradients, we have veterans, and we have brought these adjustments libraries. And in the end, we have layers, we have channels, spots. So this is pretty much all in the main interface of Photoshop. We have in the Photoshop section, we can change our preferences or Photoshop. And in the filter section we have all the filters, can just select section. We have all the selection settings. In the type section, we have all our typing settings. In the layer section, we have all the layer and layer mask and setting. In the image section we have all the settings which are related to the image. For example, Auto-Tune image size, canvas size. In the edit section, we have different kinds of settings utility to the editor. And in the view section we can select any view settings. And in that window section, we can rearrange the windows of our workspace. For example, we can change it into 3D, workspace, into motion workspace. We can change it into photograph revert speed depends on which kind of material we are working on. So we will just, for now, we will work space it as the default. We need. We have different kinds of sections. We have 3D section, action, brushes, layers, paragraph. These are all separate windows and we will click on it which window we require, and we will use it. For example, I will select on the character, and it will be shown separately here. So here is our character settings. So we will keep selecting the, he, keeps exploding the window can and will select all the required settings we want on our timeline and we will develop it as a style. So this is basic layout and basic introduction of Photoshop. And After this, we will select one-by-one and explore all these tools and how we can use these tools to manipulate the images and pictures. On the right side. First of all, we have Move tool. We can select V to use it. For the shortcut. We can select all layers with it. After that, we have the rectangular selection tool, and then we have lesser tool. Then we have magic pen tool, then we have crop tool. Then we have frame tool for the framing of pitcher. And we have eyedropper, we have Spot Healing, Brush tool, we have Stamp tool, we have Eraser tool, the gradient tool, and tend to test two shapes too. So these are all the major tools. So we will explore in this lesson. 3. Selection Tools: So now first of all, we will explore selection tools and Selection Basics. In this, we will explore quick selection, lasso tool, find, tuning, selection, expanding of Canvas. So let's start. I have Photoshop open. For the example. I will open any file in the fourth job. For example, I will open this file in Photoshop. Here is our file. With the selection tool. We will select the area of image we are required to edit. For example, I will select this selection. So when we are selected a specific area with the selection tool, the editing effect will only apply on the selected area. For example, if I want to change any brightness or contrast, brightness and contrast changing will only impact on the selection area and will not impact on other than the selection. So basic purpose of selection tool to select our elements from the picture that we want to edit. So we can touch the picture and we can achieve our results. So we will Command Z. If we want to undo anything. With the selection tool, you can select any area and there is a settings in the Selection tool. We have different types of selection. We have rectangular selection tool. We have circular selection tool. We have single row horizontal selection tool. We have a vertical single row selection tool. Also, we have Lasso Tool, polygonal lasso tool, and magnetically, these are all the selection tools. After that we have objects, selection tool, selection tool and magic variants lecture. Don't worry, these are very easy selection tools and we will explore how we can add it using the selection tools one-by-one. So first of all, we need to understand the basics of selection tool. On the above section, we have different settings on the Selection tool. So first of all, we will select a section. For example, I select this light bulb. When I click on the light bulb, I can change that direction of my selection with the arrow keys on the keyboard or by clicking in the middle of our selection and moving with demos. So our selection will move. If I want to enhance or add other elements in the selection, I will select on this icon and the plus sign will appear on our cursor. It means our selection will be added. So we can add another area in the selection. So this is how we can increase our selection area. If we want to decrease or delete any selection area, we will select the subject selection icon, and our selection will be subtracted. And in the end we have intersect with the selection area. So it will delete the selection or outside. And it will keep our selection from the inside after that. So if we select any area, for example, we select this selected area. And we will select our first main selection icon, which is native selection icon, new selection icon, who is selected. And we will select the area and alter that. If we right-click our cursor, we have different options. We get from it. We can keep this selected area as the layer, or we can cut the selected area as earlier, or we can create a new layer from this area. We can fill this area, we can stroke this area. We can also transform this area. We will explore how we can transform this area. We will click the transform. And now you can increase or decrease selected area. So this is how we can do little manipulations in the images. But of course we need to do it professionally, which takes time. And so after that, we have the Lasso selection it yet. So lasso selection work as if benzyl like we just select the, we just click on our mouse and start selecting the section of elements which we want to select. We need to slowly select the area which we want to get selected. It takes time, but it's the more equity to select the elements from the Photoshop or from any image. So after that, we can just increase its size or decrease the size. Or we can do the, any changes with Darla. So selection. After that, we have polygonal lasso selection, which is my favorite because it's very easy to use and it gives very perfect result. So the polygonal selection tool will give you a straight line point and you can just click on Elements, click on the pixels, and you can select the selection. It will take time, but it will give you a very accurate and very perfect result of your selection. And this dipole selection mostly used in the industry standard editing. So look, we selected a very, very accurately. And when we will transform it, it will not disturb our image. And it will look very realistic. For example, here, It's looking very realistic. So this is for lasso tool work. After that, we have an option of Magnetic Lasso Tool, which is same option, but you can automatically keep moving your wind, your cursor, and it will keep adding all the points magnetically, automatically. But it's not preferred because it snowed, give you a very accurate are very realistic results. After that, we have a object selection. We can select any object. With this, we will just click on the object selection area and it will automatically select the area which we want. For example, we will select it on the lamp and it will automatically select the default lamp area. Here we try to select the alphabet. And it will automatically select the alphabet area we selected it. And if we want to refine it, because we see here, there is a problem. We will just slap tone, add selection, and we will add this area in our selection. After that, we have Quick Selection Tool. Quick Selection Tool is also very widely used in the selection. So just use like a brush to just keep moving your cursor on the area you want to select. For example, I am moving it on this board and it will automatically select. It's very quick way to do the selection. After that, we have a magic one tool, magic wand, select the area regardless of the colors. So if you are selected as same color, it will do work perfect you. To delete the selection. Or two. We will go to the Select and we will press Command D, or we will click on de-select and our selection will be dislike. For the shortcut of this lecture is command D. So I have an image open here, and I will open it in Photoshop. And we will try to alert very famous technique of the selection, which will be separating any human body or any icon, anything from the image, to manipulate it, to edit it further to change your background. So we will try to learn it how we can separate image with the selection tool and with the use of masking. So first of all, we will select on our selection tools and we will choose our selection tool. I am selecting objects selection tool. And I will see if it works on this picture. And it worked fine. After that, we created our selection. We can refine it by use of our Quick Selection Tool, and we will erase, de-select the area which is not required for our selection. And now we need to define this selection. To refine this selection, we will click on Select and Mask. So there is a panel starts showing. We have different view options. We have overlay view, we have marching arts, we have black on white. So we'll select the overview. So this movie will show us which of the things are selected and which things are remained. With use of this, we can select that and refine our selection. For example, this area is selected, we will use the de-select and unselect this area. We will do it slowly. We need to resize it a little bit smaller. And then we will select this quote again, and we'll select the thumb section. So this is how we can add additional refinements in that picture. After that, we have tons of options here. In this section, we will select refine, refine mood, edge detections and global refinements. So we will increase the smoothness, so the edges will get smooth and we can increase the feather little bit. So the feathers of our selection will be smooth and we can select the Shift Edge is to increase or decrease the size of our selection. After that, we can select our output settings. We can put it as a selection, as a layer mask, add a new layer, new layer and layer mask. I think new layer and layer mask is perfect for this. So we will select it. We can also select it as a selection according to how we are going to do. On the left side, we have refined edges. We have selection tool, we have Brush Tool, Quick Selection tool, or the selection tool, which can help us to define our selection. Maybe after that, just click Okay. And here is our master bedroom selected. After that. We can use any background on it. And it will help us achieve the results we wanted. So this is how we separate the selections. We separate the figures, we separate the elements in Photoshop from dark pictures. And after there we enhanced them. We add additional backgrounds according to our needs in the selection. For example, we can take this lecture layer and put it on this layer which we were working. And our images additionally added on this. And we can increase its size a little bit. With little of retouching and photo editing, we set this image with the team and mood of our image. This is how we basically do the selections. In Photoshop. 4. Crop Tool / Image Properties: So now we will discuss how we can change the image size is how properties of image, image resolutions, everything related to the image. All we can grow up the image and experience that Canvas. Some basic properties of the image. So we will just open any random image here. Experimented. We can increase or decrease the image size by clicking on image. So this image section on the top of window have all the properties linked to the image. So we will select the image and select on Image Size. And now we have our properties of image which is five inches and height is 83 inches. We can change it into pixels, centimeters, millimeters. We can change the resolution of images. So for example, we can select the width of our image 3040 and offer that. We'll just click Okay. If we want to increase or decrease that canvas size of image, we will, we will just select an image and go to the Canvas size. And for example, we want to increase the canvas to two-inch width and two inch height. And with the relative ratio. And from this sections we can select from what direction we want to increase or decrease that kind of aside. For now, I am selecting, I want to increase side from all four corners and we can select also the background color of the canvas. So just our canvas is increased on four sides. We can also try to increase our canvas on the right side of width and height. And our canvas is increased from the right side. So this is how we can increase or decrease image size, the major resignation or canvas size. Also the image rotation. We can rotate our image. We can flip our image. There is also an option or shortcut, which is Command T. And by selecting the commodity, you can also increase or decrease the size of image and also the layout. So far now, we will flip our canvas horizontally again, and now we will explore the crop tool. So this is the crop tool. We have also three different, four different sub tools. Crop tool, perspective crop tool, slice tool, and it's like Slice tool. So first of all, we will select the crop tool and we will select the image. So in the crop tool by the name, we can grow the image and main image and any layers with this tool and with the ratio, we can select the ratio of our crop settings. You can keep it free by just selecting on clear. And you can also keep your tone ratio. And you can just select it and increase or decrease the ratio of our background. Also, we can use the straighten tool, straighten section, and just click on separate lines. And it will follow that straight line and automatically rotate our MAs, just click Okay, and our image is perfectly straight offered that we can also select this image and we have different options to grow according to our requirement. So this is basic, pretty much how to use crop tool. We have also the perspective crop tool, which we mostly use when we are doing some layer Virchow. This crop tool, we'll put our image in our perspective, for example, I just and a little perspective in dissection. So our image will get perspectively grow up. 5. Image Basic Tools: Now we will explore basic image tools. Brightness contrast, color vibrations, hue, saturation, adjustment layers, everything with the image tools. So let's start. I have a sample picture which is unedited here. So we will try to work on this picture and explore the possibilities in Photoshop with their tools. So this is our image section on the upper tab which we saved image. We have different kinds of sections in it. We have adjustments. In the adjustment section, we have all the things we need to do. For the image. For example, we have brightness and contrast. We can increase or decrease the contrast of the image to keep it more realistic. So we will try to purchase the brightness and contrast a little bit according to our requirements. And then we have two more options. Like we have levels, we have curves, we have explored why brands, hue and saturation color valence may have black and white picture. But our local gradient maps selective. But all these things we can do then we can play with it, for example, with Docker tool. We can play that specific, added the specific curves, specific point of shadows and highlights in the image. Develop specific image style, more cinematic style in the image. After that, we have in our adjustments section, hue and saturation. With this tool, we can increase or decrease overall view of the image. Or we can also increase or decrease the hue and saturation or any specific color, for example, for the red, we can change the hue and saturation of the red. And accordingly we can add it to our picture, but according to the requirements of our photo shoot or according to the requirement of our graphics. After debt, we have color balance, which will give overall general color balance to our voltage here. And that will help us to generate a color mood in-depth lecture. You can play with the color balance to generate color modes. After that, we have regent maps and selective color. Gradient map is also very important to apply it. To give a very gradients like feeling to the image. And it will map all over our image. Then we have selective color. My favorite tool is selective color, because with the use of this color, we can change the brightness or contrast or specific tones of a specific color. And with this thing, we can increase or decrease the dead specific color. For example, we have blue in this image. We can increase or decrease blue in this image with the use of selective color. After that, there is a great tool which we can say replace color. It will help us to replace the overall color of our image or any specific part of the image. For example, I will select the color picker and change their fuzziness, and then play with the hue. And our color will change. The color will change on that selected area. So this is how we can change the color of any specifics element in the image that we have. Auto tune and auto contrast images. Auto Contrast options that will help us to auto, automatically balance our image. So there is a very important point in this section. When we will go to the layer side, we have a circular auction, which we click on it and we can have the adjustment layers of brightness, adjustment layer of curves, levels, hue saturation, adjustment layer. As we have options. We can change the properties of these adjustments anytime because these are in the layer farms. So if we need to put it any changes, we can change it anytime. And if we want to put it back, we can do it also on anytime. For example, we can unhide this, unhide this, and it will, the image will be getting to our original form. So this is how we can use adjustment layers to get benefit from the Photoshop. 6. Layer Basics and Masking: So now we will explore the workflow or for the sharp whole, we can apply images over images and how we can play with the layers. So this is the right side of the sections. We have layer options, we have channel oxygens and we have four options. For instance, I will delete these two layers, and now I have a few more images. This photo shoot and I will slide, drag these images straight into Photoshop and it will take some time. And then these two images came into the layer farms in our workflow. We will just resize these images a little bit so we can use it. So here you can see we have these two images in the layer farms. We can name it one and name it. So we can do resize these layers. We can personally edit these layers, and we can eventually do anything with these layers to work on it. For example, we will resize it just a little bit. And also we will resize this image a little bit. And we will add it here. So it will, we will try to create a small thumbnail for our YouTube channel. So now we can use the adjustment layers on this image, on this image as well. So these images are not rasterize these images into the smart objects. We need to rasterize these images to work on it. So we will click on Okay, and it will rasterize the automotive. So after that, we will try to add a few more layers in our sections. To retouch these images. For example, we will apply curves. The curves section is here. So these curves will start applying on the whole image. It will start applying on the whole limits. If we want to apply the curve on a specific image, we will just press art and apply the clipping mask. We can release it again and apply it again by create clipping mask, by clicking the right mouse key. And then apply clipping mask or release clipping mask. So that clipping mask will be applied directly on the layer under it. So this is how we can add layers and layer by layer in that picture to add effects, to add more pictures, to add thumbnail, for example, we will create a new layer from this plus sign. Or we can also create new layer from this new layer. So this is our new layer. And we can also use the Brush tool if we want to apply some editing or some kind of effect in our image, for example, I just want to apply the white fade from the right side of the MAs. I will apply this and it will not directly applied to our image. So it will be in the new layer. We can always, we can change it, we can re-size it. We can increase or decrease in size according to our requirements. So this is how layers are very handy to use. And to change the background. We will select on the background and we will duplicate layer, or we will select a layer from the background. So our background will be turned into the layer. And we can also resize our background. To. After resizing the background, we need to apply a new layer for the background. And we will, we can change the position of layers up and down By the mouse. By changing the position, by clicking on the layer, and changing that position with demos. And then we can also add different backgrounds to our background layer. And we can add different texts to our layer and do our size to our file. So this is how we can use layers, layer sections, and adjustment layers to contract with the image, to create graphics part of that professional brands or stuff, or professional companies. 7. Stamp Tool / Retouch Images: So now we will try to explore how we can retouch images. We can remove objects or add objects, or we can do play with the adjustment layers are other tools for show which are related to detaching the image. So let's start. I have these two images selected for specifically this use. So I will open it in Photoshop. So, so far we learned the move tool, we'll learn the Selection Tools, Crop tool. So now we will learn two more tools that will help us to understand and work with the Photoshop more better way. First of all, we will use the spot healing tool. There are different types of sport healing tools available in our Photoshop. We have Spot Healing Brush Tool, healing brush tool, Patch Tool, red eye removal, and content aware. So first of all, we will use the Spot Healing. Spot Healing tool is the tool which we can use for the healing of sports. It is widely used for image retouching. We will just simply select the spot healing tool and click on the sport which we want to heal. And it will automatically heal. We need to increase the size here too. But sometimes spot healing tool not work the way we want it. Then we will select the Healing Brush Tool. Healing brush tool is same as the spot healing tool, but in the Healing Brush tool, we have to select the area by pressing the Alt key, which we want to give a reference to heal the spotted area. So I think here is the perfect scheme. So I will press Alt and click on the mouse to give the reference to sports. So after that, I will just click on the sport zooming and apply it. So it will perfectly heal our sports. It's more better and efficient way sports. And it will provide better results. Widely use in Photoshop and widely used in portrait retouching, immediate. I think. After that we have few more options. For example, we have Patch Tool. Patch tool is also a decent way to remove tools. We will select the patch, which has four. Just like the lasso tool, we will make the selection. Then we can move dead patch towards the hour, where our skin is perfect. And we will slide to that area and it will automatically batch over here to that point. After that, we will de-select it. And our skin is perfect, totally detached, and our spores are disappeared. We have also different types of tools. For example, we have brush tool. With the brush tool, we can brush on the skin. We can increase or decrease the size of brush by clicking right on our mouse, right-click on the mouse and we can increase or decrease the size of create a new layer. So we can save our progress. With the eyedropper, we will just select the color of the skin. And with the brush tool, we will apply that slightly to the skin so it will give more smoothly. We can also change the style of brush. We have straight brush. We have smooth brush with salt rounds. So there are different types of brushes available. We will discuss it in more advanced section of our class. After that, we have support healing to our clone stamp tool, which is used to duplicate the elements in the image. For example, in this image, I just want to remove this parachute. I will just select the best tools. Select this parachute, then slide towards the area where there is no. Also, I can remove this parachute or it's very simple. If I want to duplicate any element in the Photoshop, I will use the clone stamp tool. I will just increase the size. And same way, I will select the initial point by pressing Alt and left mouse key and click on it to make the selection. And then I will dig debt loans to anywhere and it will be cloned. In same way. We can neatly do it by just decreasing its size. So this is how we can learn different elements in different environments, different pictures. We can clone as much as we want. So this is how we can clone or add different pictures or different elements in the picture. After that, we have History Brush Tool. With the History Brush tool, it will automatically went back to the original form of the picture. We can increase or decrease its opacity so it will boot up. And so when we apply the History Brush Tool, the image will automatically go back regional state that section of the image. And also we have razor tool, which we can use to create anything from our background layer are our main layer. For example, I use a brush to add some strokes in the image, and I can use the eraser tool to erase their strokes. There are also different steps for the razor tool. So I can increase or decrease the size of particularly the result. Also, we have background eraser tool. With this tool, we can erase the background of our image. And also we have Magic Eraser Tool. It will work like the magic wand tool, so it will just remove the selected color background. We can change the tolerance or magically their food from 32 words under according to our needs and our requirements. After that, we have blurred tool. Help us to blur backgrounds or blood, any elements in the image. We can apply it. We have sharpened tool to sharpen any diagram or any foreground in the image. We can also have smudge tool to just blurry it or smudge it down. And here we have doors to increase or decrease the shadows and highlights of the specific point of the image. With the Burn tool, we can burn the shadows. And with the doors tool, we can highlight mid-tones or shadows. Also, we can change its size according to our requirements are our news. This is pretty much the things we can play in Photoshop to retouch our fixture in more nuanced way. Just we need to keep practicing so we can develop it more professionally. I am discussing their wires to keep this class to the white. In the end of the class, we will do the assignments and really use all these techniques. So we can have practical on how we can use these techniques. 8. Brush & Color Basics: So now we will explore Brush Tools, color tools, and tools which are related to brush and pulling. So I have opened a picture here. We, in our previous lesson, we explored the spot healing, brush tools and other tools that will help us draw the selection. Now we will explore brush tools. So we'll select the brush tool, the brush tool panel. We have Brush tool, pencil tool, color replacement tool, and mixer brush tool. And when we click on the Brush tool on the above section, we have the sizes of brushes. We have the types of brush, and we have that tips for the brush. When we click on this folder, we will open the brush tips and then we will click on this icon which says 800. We will see the brush sizes and different types of brushes which are available in the Photoshop. For example, we have general brushes, hard brush, round brush, soft round brush. After that we have drying brushes, charcoal brushes. So these are all the brush types which we can use and we can draw to create illustrations or create effects in our Photoshop. For example, I will select the color by the use of color picker. On this section. For example, I will select the color of our code. And you can use also the color picker or eyedropper tool to select the color sample. After that, I will select the brush tool and I will create a new layer to experiment it. So my original background doesn't disturb. That. We will try to create a very cool effect of outlining, which are very trendy these days. And we will try to explore it in two different forms. Just draw it. And this is how you can use the Brush tool. In Photoshop. You can explore different types of brushes. For example, we have different types, work on different situations. We have charcoal brush tip. Just increase the size of your brush. To increase the size of your brush, just click on the Brush and increase the size. Are further shortcut. You can click on the right mouse click and that will open and you're going to increase or decrease the brush size. After that, just outline it. And the charcoal brush also gives you another formal outline. So this is how you can use a brush tool as the beginners. There are some settings in the brush tool. For example, you can, you will click on the brush tips and the settings will be open. You can change the shape dynamics. You can change the texture of brush. You can change that smoothness of UTC. Also, there is a very important thing in the brush tool, which is the Opacity and Flow. So for example, I decrease the opacity. The opacity of my brush will be lower. If I will increase the opacity of my brush, you will be shown fully. And same as if I degrees of law, my brush. It will decrease the flow of my brush. So this is, this is the way transparency and flow work in the Photoshop. So with the use of these brushes, you can create strokes. You can create impressive designs that will make a difference in your illustrations. For example, I just use these different types of brushes here in front of you and just created a very cool looking to chip. So this is pretty much the basic brushes. We will discuss the more advanced use of brushes in the next section of this class. Or I will also submit and other class that will specifically deal with the brushes and how to illustrate with brushes. After that, we have also a razor tool, which is very important because if we did something wrong, we can, we can use the eraser tool and we can erase anything that we have different type of razor tool, magic eraser tool that will completely delete the layers. Also, we have the eraser tool and bad rotator tool. It will delete the background or purely just keep experimenting with your brushes so you can achieve good reserves. Photoshop is all about experiment because you are creating art and you have complete freedom in your Canvas. And there is also a special option in the photo, in the brush section, which we call it mode. So you can change the opacity of your brush. You can change it into the screen. You can change it into the multiply. So it will darken. So you can, you can change it according to your requirements. 9. Text & Shapes: After that, we will discuss the text and shapes section of the Photoshop. So underneath here is that text section. When we click on the text T shaped icon in the Photoshop, our text section we will open. So we have four different type of text sections. We have horizontal typing tool, we have vertigo typing two. We have vertical type mask tool and horizontal type loss. So first of all, we will try to experiment horizontal to the horizontal tube. You can simply write anything horizontally and shown on your show. So when we select the Text tool, we instead get the option of false styles, font sizes, sharpness, gourd, glyphs, all the detailing of bone. Also we have dark color options, also part of that changing of font. So we can type it. And you will get required reserve. You can also change the font style. There are different kinds of forums available. You're going to increase or decrease the size of your phone. So altered that we will try to experiment the vertical sides with the vertical size. Your bones will be written vertically. For example. We can write album 2020, So it will be shown after Dad, we have the vertical and horizontal mask to our selection tool stool. When we type it, our phone will be get into the form of selection. For example, I type a, B, C, and sizes to around 300. Or we can do it around 700. So this is, it appeared as a selection and we can use this selection to paint it or to develop anything out of it, or to separate it for the layer. And you can just change. We can move this selection anywhere by the use of selection tool. So this is how we can use the text tool to develop texts in our pictures, in our graphics. And use the text tool for the condition of the graphics. After dead, we have the selection tool, path selection tool, which will select the parts of our layers. And after that, we have the shapes tool. So in the shapes tool we have different shapes. We have a rectangular tool, the rounded rectangle tool, circle tool, Triangle Tool, polygonal tool line tool. We can use all these different tools to create shapes or create elements in Photoshop. For example, I selected this shape. So the selection of shape, we have different options. For example, I can fill this shape with different color. I can queue stroke to my shape and I can increase or decrease the size of Zoetrope. Also. Also I can see the outline of my drawing or my my shape. So we have different type of shapes available. We have polygonal shapes, or we can select the triangular shape and add a triangle on it. And we can, all these cheers will come in the layer section. So we can change the direction of layers up and down to make the balance in our design. So for example, I want the text behind the triangle. I will just slide the triangle, slider text under the triangle. And if I want to show the texts and want to triangle beneath the tests, I will just put the triangles, select the triangle layer and under the ABCD or so, our main texts will be visible. In the ship section. We have also custom shape tools. In the custom shape tool, you can save tools. You have some different shapes. For example, messages, icon, all these shapes which are everyday use. You can also add your custom shapes in this second, which you mostly use. So pretty much for the beginning or Photoshop. This is enough to understand what kind of shapes we have or how we can use these shapes. Also, we can use this shape for two prominent some texts. For example, I select that, select, and I select this. And I can just decrease its opacity a little bit to make it prominent, odd. I can relate, screen it to give it up. Man who pollute your data, graphical effect to create interest in our illustration. So this is how we can use brushes and we can use text, and we can use shapes tools to create graphics in Photoshop. 10. Masking & background Removal: So now we will explore how we can combine images in more professional and more advanced way. We will explore how to add texture on images. We will explore how to play with the layer mask and how to replace a background using layer mask and add additional elements in our pictures. So let's start. I have two pictures here, so I selected this picture and this picture. So I will draw the figure it out of this picture and place it on this button here to create a manipulation and to experiment with these things. I will open both pictures in Photoshop. And just after Dad, we have different type of selection tools which we can use. I'm using object selection tool to make it very quick. So after that, it will take some time to create the selection and selection. We can select and mask with this object. So we can make any additional changes we want. We will select the Subtract Selection tool and select the addition selection tool. So we can add this iron part in our selection. It will help us to create more realistic effect. And you must more realistic feeling in our illustration, in our editing. Just take your time and highlight the areas which you want to add and offer there to just check your illustration, if any of the board is required to add. Just take your time. It's a very slow and very easy to do editing. After that, you can do with retouching. You can increase the feather or anything. After that, you can select the output setting, which I am selecting, a new layer and layer mask. With the layer mask, I can change and I can edit anything in it. So I will select, okay, after that, my objectives automatically selected and mosque. So what is the benefit of mask? When our objectives mask, we can change any changes in need without destroying the actual. For example, I will select the brush tool and I will keep my foreground as black and background as white. So then I will select the white and I will try to apply it in my object. We'll come back from the mask, and then I will apply a dark black color. It will be back from the original bond. So when I will change it into the black color, our mask will be applied and it will hide. So in this way we can make any changes and refine our Mars. For example, I will select the brush tool and I can do that are very fine tuning in Photoshop. To my editing. It will give me more freedom in my editing choices and me to create more realistic effect. So this is how we can play with the mask. I will also tell you two more methods about how two-week and apply it on the mask. So we will slide this layer to the image we want to add. So here is our layer. After that, we need to increase the size of our image just a little bit. So just a little bit more size. So start giving us some perspective. So it is now applied on the other image entities in the linear form. We can also mask some objects from the background layer as well. For example. And now we can play with the background layer to match with the color tones. For example, I will create the duplicate, the background layer by clicking on it. And duplicate layer. After that, I will auto tune my image and auto color my image so it will get into that realistic dollars. Same I will do with my front layer with the figure to auto image and Auto Tone this image. After that, we can use the adjustment tools. For example, we can use our color balance to give that color balance to my whole picture. It will be a more realistic and more surrealist, more unified effect to our picture. And we can also apply different filters and to spread defects in it. For example. I can also use brightness and contrast in other layer to create an effect in this. This is all about experimenting. And we have these, all these effects in the adjustment layer farms so we can change it or delete it anytime to keep it in our realistic effect. After that. When we are done with it, we can select all these and we can merge it to by selecting right-click and applying merge layers. So it will all merge into one form of near. And we can add different type of texture in it. To apply textures, we can just go to Blending Options and we have tons of options. For example, we can apply a gradient overlay, we can apply a pattern overlay. We can apply a texture. So it's all about experimenting. We have different options that we can apply. For example, we can go to the blending option and we can add different types of textures. In our picture. For example, we will click on the texture and it's gently, our texture is applied on the picture. We have different types of tax year available in Photoshop, which we can use it. And it's all about experimenting with kind of tests here we'd like to apply. And also we can increase or decrease or forward to next year. And also we can play with that two of our texture to give it some kind of printed or some variant of paper like effect or close like texture. Also, we have option. We can apply a gradient layers, different types of gradients to create effect in our picture. And we can control the amount of effect with the opacity. So this is how we can play with textures. And we can use masking to create picture and to mix pictures, to manipulate pictures. 11. Effects & Filters: Now we created the image and we blend it with the background. Now we will explore some filter options of our Photoshop, which we can apply on declared bedrooms. And we will draw us what our opportunities we have in our two intersection. Intersection is very important and we can apply many facts, use or filter options. For example, we will select the background layer which we have, and we will go to the filter. We have a filter gallery, we have Camera Raw Filter, we have Nikki Pi. We have 3D Filter, Blur Filter, Noise, still sharpen filter. So we have, In the blur filter we have different type of blurred. For example, we will select the blur and our background color. We can use this effect to create depth of field in our pictures. Also, we have filter. For example, we have oil paint filter, which we can use to give an oil paint effect in our photos. Also, we have sharpening filter, which we can use to sharpen our background, our images, to create more realistic effect, to create a more sharp images. Also, we have an option which we can use. For example, we have stylized filter. We have this broad filter which we can use, distort our image a little bit. It's all depend on our requirements. What kind of filter we want to play with. So this is how we can play with the filters will be explored. We can also merge the background as one and we can explore other filters as well. For example, in the Filter Gallery, we have different filter effects which we can use apply on our filters. For example, we have color pencil filter. It will just take time to apply the filter directly. And we have option which we can use to apply on the filter to the fetus. For example, we can change the number of levels. We can see the fidelity of the picture. We can change the roughness of the picture so the filter will apply directly and we can clear different effects by the using of these filters. And it will help us in our creation of graphic design and billboards and clusters to play with these filters and effects. 12. Create a Media Post / Flyer: So now we will create an example project or how we can develop our graphics, a social media post, or a general graphic for any brand for the marketing, or add purple. So first of all, we will create the file, will create the new file, and we'll select the sizes of our requirements. For now, I will use 1080, but NAT, because I want my composition size Institute and we can set the resolution around a 100 or 200. The more the better if you want to print the design, you can keep it 300. If you just using it for the screener social media, you can keep it a 100 resolution after they're just create a file. And now I will explore some pictures which will go with my team. I am doing an imaginary composition of a social media post, further tourism. So we will select these three pictures and slide them in our Photoshop. It will take some time. Depending on the sizes of picture. After that, we will select all these pictures and we will rasterize these layers. The rasterizing these layers, we will just increase the size and try to manage their composition. So first of all, this picture and then this picture on the right side. The left side. Alright, and then this picture, I need to re-size this structure a little bit. Because I want to cut this picture in a circular farms. To cut this inner circular form, just, I will use the selection tool and circular selection tool. By holding the Shift key, I will select it in the circular form, altered that I can layer via cut it. And I will the previous year and I have perfect circles selection of this year. So this is our selection selected for now. I also need to make this picture in a curve like this curve. For example, I will create a new layer and I will use a brush to tell you the example of my idea. So I just want to keep my hair cut like this. So for this, I will use the selection tool again and I will create a new layer because I'm using the masking technique. So my bag and I went into my image will be saved and I have that margin to change properties of my image and thing in my image. So I will select the selection and I will create the inverse selection because I need this area. I need this area as a layer so I can clipping mask the picture behind this on this area. I will paint this area with any color because this layer is empty. Now, this layer is filled and I can use it for the clipping mask after dad Command D to de-select clipping mask. And I will move this layer behind my image layer. And then by pressing the Alt key, I just created clipping mask. And now what is the benefit of clipping mask? I can adjust this picture according to my requirements and my design will not change. It will not effect the image pretty much. So after now, we just created the selection, and now we will just use the text tool to put any text. For example, we are using for their tourism purposes. So we will apply some texts like dessert or silica part of podia. Our visitors in Sydney and in any city, Rokia. So we will use the type tool and we will select our selection size and visit us in therapy. Or we can just simply wizard. And dad will use the border color that will go with our team. We can select the character window and then we will choose a color. We can use this color or this color. I think this color is going, going to find this color. Our bodies. We can choose different colors which are working In. The better they can use any colors. You can experiment these colors for some time so we can get the exact color that goes with the team. I think this color is going with the theme. After that, we have huge selection of points. So we can use any font for the post. So the form selection also depends on the mood of your, your art world, the mood of your brand. If your brand is funky or your brand is. January. So I just put it with a turkey. And we will press Alt key to duplicate this layer. And I will decrease the size of this layer and choose the other forums for this layer. For example, I will use more centered and I would use any other information I will put in it. For example, from ten to ten March. So this is a secondary information we want to add in our social media post. And then we can just bored this text neutral bit, so it will be more visible. After that, we can also explore the Blending Options bar that text to make it more prominent. For example, I just opened up blending option for the visitor key layer. And now I will use that Bevel and Emboss. Let's create a little emboss effect in the endeavor selection. And with the use of size and direction, I can just read the effect of Emboss in it. So you can explore these layers and create a battery. But you do want to use, I think this emboss word is looking for fair price now. And you can also use the gradient layer. And you will different kinds of gradients to apply the image to create very cool looking graphics. I think this is looking perfect. And we can also add some drop shadow. And we can increase the distance of drop shadow. So this is perfect. We need to increase the size of our font little bit. We will use Command T to transform our form inside this ingredient little bit. And also you can copy the Layer Style of this by just copy layer style. And we will applied this layer style on this image also by paste layer style. So this is our space. And after that, we will double-click on our Layer and go to blending options to put the size because you've seen the small forms. So we need to change the size a little bit. And we need to change the settings. A little bit of blending options for this. For example, just lower the side, little bit dense air. We will, in the end, you can put any logo or your brand to keep the branded entity. For example, I'm putting my logo here. So I just applied this here. So our boss is perfect. And I can use them Magic Eraser tool to lead its background. So now it's looking perfect. And our social media post is almost ready. We can experiment and we can make variations from it. And I can change my logo to overlay style are multiple style. So it will merge down more better way. Also, I can create a new layer. And with the brush tool, I can just select the selection of this and the use of smooth tool. And by creating a new layer, it can vary speed effect on it. And I will put this on behind all the layers. And also I can use the very bright color and put it on this side to make that very clear looking effect. So we will explore all these elements in the next classes, and I will keep updating this class. So we can create more broccoli and learn more graphics in more advanced way. 13. Final Project & Results: So here is the final result of our class. If you have any question regarding the class, you can ask in the discussion section of the class, the class project, follow my procedure and edit a picture of yourself, your friends, and create a graphic poster or a social media. Also showed before and after or editing. You can use different pictures, different ports or fixtures from the project sources or from your own. And submit it as a class project. So I can give you feedback and critiques and get a chance to win Amazon gift card or ground for the show, please. Thank you.
