This topic is really sticky because it's so sticky. I want you to do this. I want you to go to the notes app on your phone. I want you to write a question you have about YouTube tags into titles, YouTube descriptions, anything around YouTube SEO. And what we're gonna do, we're going to go inside of those projects and we're going to answer those questions. If anyone else has answers that can help people around this sticky topic, go in there and add your answers as well. Engaged, unless I help each other really increase our knowledge on YouTube SEO, so all of our channels can grow. So go do that. Right now, I'm arthropod, ya stay true. 3. How To Tag YouTube Videos: How to tag YouTube videos to get more views. Repeat after me. Youtube is a search engine. Youtube is a search engine. Youtube is a search engine. Google is the number one search engine in the world. Youtube is the number two search engine in the world. You have to understand this if you want your channel to grow, how do search engines work? When I go to Google, I type in a word or a phrase or a topic about something. I want to know anything that is related to that word, topic or phrase pops up on the first screen and whatever catches my attention, that's what I click. Now I know for a lot of y'all, that might not be your Google experience, but for 99% of us, that is how it goes down on Google and pretty much the same way on YouTube, besides them suggesting things on our home feed or in other sectors of the YouTube page. But I'm telling you all this because every single YouTube video you put out needs to have a key word that is rooted in. What I mean by that is whatever the topic of your video is, you need to make sure that there's a keyword in there that has been highly searched for and preferably has low competition. I know that sounds like a Dalton tasks like how are you supposed to figure out what keywords I'm going to have? High search volume, low competition. We're gonna talk about that a little bit later. But right now, let me give you a breakdown or more of these terms so you can really understand what's going on in the YouTube tag section. What are tags? Tags are written identifier that you let you to know what your channel is about. You get up to 500 characters inside the a tag box to tell you tube, this is what this video is about. Tags can be words, they can be phrased, that they can be questions that you think anyone will type in when they're looking for your content. And that's the most important thing you've got to know about tags. Don't just put the most popular tags. If your video is a music video of you wrap it in your neighborhood, an inner tag section you put how to buy NF teams. Youtube knows that you're lying. So they're gonna punish a video and people are not going to watch it because they cannot afford to push how to buy NRTIs. And when people click that, your music video pops up, yes, that will benefit you from that traffic, but that YouTube and Google as a company because now their search engine algorithm is unreliable because if I didn't know how to buy in FTEs, I type it in and false rap videos popping up almost see that. So make sure your tags are accurately describing what your video is about, how to properly tag your YouTube videos. Some Assad's accurately describing what your video is about. Your tags need to be giving you some sort of boost in the YouTube algorithm, the easiest and the most accessible way to do this is you go to Google, you type in any keyword, scroll all the way down on the first page, look at what related searches are coming up under that keyword, that key word, that term, and all those related searches, that is a great way for you to start with your tags. Because now you know that not only are people interested in your keyword, because you typed it in there, some traffic and pages are popping up under Google. There are related searches at the bottom that are in real-time that Google is telling you that you might be interested in as well. So therefore, those tags can cover that same keyword once you put them into YouTube. Now for those of you that are really, really serious about this YouTube thing, I've told you before that the best tool out there is that IQ and vid IQ does a phenomenal job of showing you which tags have a high search volume and low competition and what that's gonna do for your child. No more talking. Still talking. Just without a face. So right here we got vid IQ.com. Did iq.com backslash Dorian group, Betty too, if you are serious about growing your YouTube, I keep telling you you have to give that IQ is such a phenomenal tool. So go click that link and get vid IQ, vidIQ.com, backslash story and group EDI, two links everywhere. This is my dashboard for vid IQ. Ignore all the channels, stats not I would have come right over here to keyword opportunities. These are found my tags. I'm gonna do a video Bitcoin for beginners. So what I would do is I will type in the root keyword of that video. This video is gonna be called Bitcoin for beginners, very easy route keyword is going to be Bitcoin. I don't want to make anything too specific because I really want to see what opportunities are there for tags. So we're gonna type in Bitcoin. Now, the great thing about vid IQ is it really breaks down what these keywords are doing on YouTube in real-time. As you can see, they have an overview over here is divided into two categories, search volume and competition. Search volume is how many times a month people are typing in that exact keyword. The word bitcoins being typed in over 10 million times a month. That's phenomenal. The competition is how many videos on YouTube have that as the root keyword that I don't know what this number means. I'm adding a lot of you, but it just says it's very low. The great thing about not knowing what this number means, you don't need to know what it means is because vid IQ lets you know right here, this is something you should be spending your time on or not with this overall score because it takes a percentage, it is a percentage of this huge, a little proprietary algorithm and boom, very high. If you get a keyword on vidIQ that has a score of 50, desk Qu 60 is great. 70. You need to make their video AT and above opportunities because it's a video I'm now going to do related keywords. I will look over here for possible tags. Now we can click all these out, but I could just see from the top ones over here, bitcoin news, Bitcoin Price Prediction, bitcoin news today, Bitcoin today I'm doing my video Bitcoin for beginners, so I don't know how many of these are really going to apply, even though they have a great search value of 350 thousand a month, great overall score, they don't really fit matching terms under Bitcoin. Bitcoin live, quite Antilles bitcoin news, Bitcoin mining, possibly my work bitcoins today. So between these two related keywords and matching terms, I will probably take bitcoin mining is one of those tags, but even that's not a great overall score. That's not something my video is really going to be based on. So let's come over here to questions. This is phenomenal because this is exactly where people are looking for on Google and typing it in as these typos and all. So I always expand this out so I can see all of the questions and you want to go back and look at overview or related keywords, imagined terms if you do a writer, but for the questions I'm looking at, what are people typing in, I want to make sure my search values all the way maxed up. And what is Bitcoin is number one. So that is how probably start off the video that's going to be used in a myriad of ways I'm going to talk about later, but it's definitely a tag I want to use how to mine Bitcoin, we'll talk about that. How to buy Bitcoin, how to get Bitcoin for free. Somebody is a really good and it starts getting a little tricky. So after that, after I look at the search volume, if I grab four or five of those tags, if I come over here to the overall score to see what those are talking about, two, and the top one would have very low overall score is what Bitcoin did. I don't even know what that means, but 68 thousand people a month or typing in what Bitcoin did. So that is a great tag that can get you some traffic because how many people are making videos would tag saying what Bitcoin did. So this is how find all my tags on all of my videos. So we cut over here to a video that I just posted. It doesn't have anything to do a Bitcoin for beginners. But as long as Judah see the tag box that exists under the Video Details section on YouTube. When you upload a video in a moment you do this, this pops up. Take about 152000 tags, put them inside his tag section right here. And the great thing about vid IQ as well is this going to give you a score, photos, tags once you put them in here, it's going to let you know the overall score and is gonna let you notice a little green circle where you are ranking under that keyword on YouTube. So this is a phenomenal way to get ahead of the competition. Like I said, click the link style for vid IQ so your tags and your keywords are way more optimize. See how the next lesson. 4. How To Title YouTube Videos: How did title your YouTube videos to get more views? I loved you to titles. The reason I love you too tiles is because it allows me to combine two scales that I enjoy using my marketing, MR. creativity, there are two types, two types of YouTube titles that I focus on. And I feel like almost 99% of the videos here on YouTube do the exact same thing. You have a stop title, you have a search title. A stop title is a title net when someone is scrolling on their feed, traditionally in a short form, setting, your title or what you put at the top of the screen makes them stop because it's so shocking, so appalling, it's so ridiculous or is so interesting that they got to see what this video is about. A search title was when someone goes to Google or you go into YouTube and they're looking for information regarding a specific keyword in your title was optimized to ping under that keyword is information and serve to your audience based on how you want your audience to see your brand, based on the type of clientele that you want to have for your business. You have to be very particular about the words that you put inside these titles because it says a lot about you as a person and it says a lot about you as a company and audiences are trying to attract at 1 in our group 82 system, we were just trying to get as many views, as many subscribers as we possibly could. We were dropping a lot of videos that had great business clips and facts about people that were icons and the hip hop industry in sports and in business. So every time we dropped when those videos, we will put the word exposes as what the person was saying. And this is a trigger warning for so many different reasons, but not going too deep into why exposes a trigger word. This got a lot of views. You have very popular people like Jay-Z or McNeil saying things that can resonate with the audience as well in a positive way, in a title that's making them click to begin with, with the word exposes. This is great. This is what we wanted, right? It was great, especially for short form content. But what we didn't think about was there are algorithms on YouTube that are tied to certain terms, entitles. There was a certain type of demographic that watches things that says exposes in the title, regardless of what it is, that demographics not very friendly and that demographic is not very friendly in general. They started coming into our comments and looking at all of our all videos. And I basically ended up having a civil war with my OG fans and my new fans who were able to iron it all out. But that just shows you how powerful a warlike exposes can be to your YouTube channel that shows you how important that titles are. So be very conscious about the words that you choose and pick inside of your titles. And my first real adult sales job, I was working at Bacharach are selling men's suits and my sales manager, Dave gave me some of the best sales advice I've ever gotten in my life. He said less talk, more about to show you how what I was talking about. Here's what I was talking about. This is a great stop title. This is a U2 short that I posted in July 2021. I'd only been on YouTube with shorts maybe a month, maybe two months, not that long. And this title did numbers. And the reason that it did numbers is for a variety of reasons. Number one, how much? Question words, how, what, when, where, why? Those are great things ever get people to stop? How much usually implies money? People love hearing about money. 13 million is something that people I looking at. Million is very attractive term overwritten and said YouTube views. Youtube is always going to push anything that says YouTube. Pay. And how much comes together. That's great. That's a great, great stop title. Another reason that his video worked is because it says, how much does dollar side 13 million YouTube views pay you? When you scroll down and you see there are a lot of people who think that that is hilarious, but one dude posted this comment, it has 959 likes in 33 replies. Clickbait just realized that it'll say little over 52 k4 seconds. So that worked. It was not even clickbait. What it is is typos. People always wanna comment on typos. I didn't know everything, so this is a great stop title. Now, let's look at a search title. Now here's a video ID, ID, and I just posted it maybe a week or two ago. And it's the five best crypto coins were beginners to invest in. Now, when you do search titles, you got to think about what people are going to be looking for. Five best crypto coins. Crypto for beginners, for beginners to invest in, best crypto to buy. Now, these are all keywords that I have optimized through vid IQ. And I was able to see what they had with their search volumes and everything. So I'll put them inside his title. Also a great thing about vid IQ. If you have this once again, you'll need to download and get it. If you're not click that link, you can get AI tidal recommendations. So you can click here. And what this will do is this will give you what they think is the best one for you, based on what did I Q. Says. So, as you can see, a lot of these titles are on par, but all these are search optimized titles because you want to make sure that your video is getting hit on the key words for the audience is looking for that content. Search Title, hit those keywords, stop titles, maybe make them mad and make them stop or shocked him or pull those emotional strings a little bit. 5. How To Write A YouTube Video Description: Alright, uh, YouTube description that gives more views. So we got tags, we got titles, and now we have a description. As you can see, we're going in chronological order here. So make sure when you're optimizing your YouTube videos, you do the exact same thing. The reason being is because this makes us exceptionally easy to do each section once you've already done a previous section, if you are, I had the attacks, you're going to have a pretty good idea what your title is going to be. If you are, I got your title. Then now when it's time to go to that description, that's the first thing you're probably going to plug in there is your title. If you take those tags with that title, you write a very natural reading paragraph that is relevant to that video because that is what's called a trigger YouTube algorithm that does description, has a paragraph that has all these keywords that are fully optimized. And now we're getting the metadata from the tags, the metadata for a title, the metadata from the description that this video is exactly what they said that it was going to be about. Now that's one part of your description. The second part of your description that you need to be focused on is how you plan on promoting yourself and promoting your brand. Your YouTube description is a great piece of real estate for you to put affiliate links. It puts your website links to link people to other videos, anything that's going to make you some money on your channel, That's a great place to put those things in there. So what we're gonna do is almost stop talking and start showing a show you-all how I write my youtube descriptions and what they actually look like. Here I am showing you behind the scenes in my YouTube Studio. So there's video of five best crypto coins for beginners to invest in the video I just posted, I want you to pay attention to my description of what I do. So the first Dana do inside of my YouTube description is I always put a link to something that is YouTube centric at the top because that helps push YouTube's algorithm. Youtube wants to push YouTube. That's the most important thing on YouTube is YouTube. So make sure that at the top of your description, you send them something back to YouTube, right here, you click this, you can go, you can subscribe to my channel, but this could easily be a video link or something else. I'll put my affiliate links here that I'm really proud of and it wasn't generate us a lot of revenues. I put those there. Also. There's another affiliate link that I've put here that is also on par with what I'm talking about a Firebase crypto coins for beginners to invest in that another link here, we put the chapters because this is a great way for you to, and Google's algorithm to know what your video is about. Because all of these titles are optimized. I'd take every single one of these tiles. I did it in the same way that did the initial title for the video optimize every single one of these through vid IQ. So I have seen If this is stuff that people are searching for, hat are searching for wider searching for it. Because I want all of those to paint on YouTube's algorithm when it comes to his video, is a great way for you to get a lot of extra keywords and a lot of extra tags that might not be suitable or even fit in your box. You could put them here inside of the description under the chapter section. And this is a great way for people that want to come to your video, just learned something real quick and Google automatically shops these up. So if someone searches for how to buy cryptocurrency, this clip at 1558 might just populate in Google. So it's a great way to get people Assad's of funnel through short form content as well. So chapters are definitely a key and people need to be focused on and do an insider YouTube descriptions while recommended courses for content creators in other place for me to promote our brand. And what we have going on, talking about a podcasts and how it can benefit people. Put the link right there. Also all my social media stuff. I give an introduction to who I am. And also inside of here, if you go look at my channel keywords with some Ya already have, you can see that put these channel keywords in here as well and the child description way for them to get in touch with me. Another thing I'd do inside my descriptions is this. Anytime that I posted a video that has a topic that is gonna be evergreen, we were gonna be searched for. I go look at current articles that are populating under something so much that topic. Now, the reason I do this is because Googling you to work simultaneously with one another and they're constantly trying to get that traffic where it wants to go. Best cryptocurrencies to buy right now, that's a keyword. I'll probably want to get this video attached to that keyword. So I've OD type best cryptocurrency to borrowed. Now in the Google, this article popped up because his article popped up, I did a keyword, that's something I want to add to my description because I want to be associated with this article and that keyword. And there's a whole backlink system and four links system and all these other link systems that you can go into detail about that if you want to go down that rabbit hole. But that's just a very quick tip. Whatever your video is about, if you type into Google ad, some very relevant articles are links to that. That's going to bring traffic your way because you never know if that might get you back on someone's algorithm. And an actually right here, this is my actual description. I put it at the bottom because for me it's not that important, but I know for YouTube's algorithm is more important also, YouTube does rank where you place things in the description and in the title, what order is saying. So if you do want your description, I have more evaluate YouTube's algorithm. I'll place a higher for me. It's not that big of a deal. But if you look at what I did, I literally wrote this naturally but optimize with keywords. The first time I bought Crypto through coinbase, invest in air, even though I did my own research, I had a good grasp on how cryptocurrencies, bitcoin, blockchain, smart contracts, also like a foreign language. I know for most people this has had a fuel and air beginners with cryptocurrencies. I wanted to make a crypto for beginners video that was relatable and would help improve anyone's financial education bought Crypto to Coinbase how crypto-currencies weren't Bitcoin blockchain smart contracts, beginners with crypto. Crypto for beginners, financial education, those are all keywords that I put aside a description and tags as well. So that's how I do my descriptions on YouTube, makes sure that you understand everything that you put inside of the back end of your YouTube is metadata. Make sure it's on par with the rest of video. 6. The Top 3 YouTube SEO Strategies: The top three YouTube SEO secrets. No fluff. We'll get right to it. Number one, birth title. I have a birth defect is very noticeable. I have had in my entire life. My birth defect is in my DNA, it came from my parents. I cannot alter it. What is his birth defect that I have? It's called dimples, cheat dimples medically speaking, they are a birth defect. Societally speaking, Everyone loves them. Regardless, I cannot alter what is in these cheeks. And just like humans have their own DNA, videos have their own DNA. There are things in the human body that cannot be altered. There are things in a video and I can't be altered. One of those things that can't be altered as the birth title, that is the title that you choose when you export your video off your computer. What are you naming this video, your birth title is one of the most important pieces of metadata that YouTube has. Why is this? You can game tags, you can gain views, you can game comments, you can game descriptions. You could do all those things, but what's the likelihood that someone is going to name their video, something that their video isn't about. What is YouTube, a search engine. And YouTube needs to know that's your videos. What you said is about, and they know that that birth title is about as accurate of a place to know that this video is what you said is about they placed a lot of emphasis on that birth title, a unique duty, exact same thing, just like you're very particular about how you choose your title for your YouTube video. You need to be very particular about how you choose your birth title for the same YouTube videos, these birth titles need to be optimized. Then you'd be something that people are searching for it and need be something that's going to give you a boost on the YouTube algorithm. So take advantage of that. How do you know that's your birth title was rooted and optimize in a keyword is gonna be searchable. I must show you right here, right here. Whereas side of my YouTube Studio, back office where you can see the video details from our video too far best crypto coins for beginners to invest in the filename. This is exactly what I'm talking about with your birth title. We make sure that all of our editors and myself, that we put these keywords inside of here because five cryptocurrencies for beginners, this is another way that we can hit that hard. So make sure that your file name on every single one of your videos is a key word. The second YouTube SEO secret is speech and video. Whenever you say in a video, YouTube is transcribing and they're gonna provide a transcript for that video for anyone who wants to read it. Because YouTube places a massive emphasis to make sure that the thing that you said your video is about, you're actually saying in the video, what's the better way to know if what you're actually saying in the videos which you said the video is about, that they transcribe all that speech and sink that metadata with your birth title, with your description, with your title, with your tags, with your thumbnail. So everything you say inside of the video is a data point. So take advantage of that and use that TO disposal because other people don't know that. I'm going to show you where to find a transcript of the videos right here. You want to find a transcript of the video. All you do is do this. This is my wider little way. So those masters for a 100 million video, this is the first video idea without Eclipse, I was really excited. They did really well to 300 thousand views. We're going to come down here and click these three dots right here. You're going to click Open transcript. And once you click open transcript, as the video gets going and I don't want to play again, I don't want to sound and really mess everything up. The words are gonna be over here on the screen. And as you can click, you can see the timestamps which looks like he chapters as in your description, which we're gonna talk about in a few minutes as well. But also you can look and see each term in all of these are data points. So if you ever want to find a specific point inside of a video that doesn't have chapters disagree way to do it too. Like I said, click these three dots right here, go to open transcript. Click the Find feature on your keyboard, typed the word in, and it'll search for it and give you the exact timestamp. And number three, we got chapters. Chapters is something that previously people might not have wanted to pay attention to in the YouTube algorithm because YouTube session time and watch time we get disjointed with chapters. But now since short form content has become one of YouTube's assets, youtube does not punish you if he will hop around your video if they only watch it for a minute and a 2.5 minutes now, because YouTube knows they watch a video via chapter, they clicked it. They came for that specific piece of information, which is same as if they came there for short form content chapters is a great way for you to get extra tags and your video. Every single chapter that I put in my YouTube description has a title that has been vid IQ optimize. Treat this as if I had a whole another tag box, it has been great for our brand. Another thing is that chapters does is it acts as short form content. If someone types in a certain term into Google and that term is pinging under your keyword on your video and your chapter, you have the exact timestamp that that information can be delivered to that audience member. Google and YouTube is going to deliver that information to that audience member. Adds more credibility to your video, which pushes it more in the YouTube algorithm chapters, kids soup up and optimize your description almost better than anything right now because of the emphasis on short form content. So take advantage of this right now. I'm just showing you how I write my chapters right here. You all see my whole monitor. So you can see both fit IQ and YouTube Studio. This is my video far best crypto coins for beginners to invest in. And I wrote my chapters right here inside my YouTube description. Like I said, every time you write chapters, make sure you start off with two zeros in here with an intro, I put the actual title in there and then you timestamp, and as you go now, each of these titles is an optimize vid IQ keywords. So what ideas are new to this video? Crypto was a topic that a lot of people are searching for right now. So I'm going to come over here and we're going to type in crypto, crypto currency. And I'm gonna come down and I'm going to look over here under questions. And even with there being crypto and not cryptocurrency, I could see like how to invest in crypto, had a bad crypto on finance. What is crypto? How to make money with crypto? What group Delta? By now I had a day tray crypto had a bankrupt though. I knew some of the points in the video that I was also talking about had things to do. A crypto as well. So I'll take some of those keywords. So Coinbase, another key word I use the side of video, saw combine what happened with crypto, combined with Coinbase. Now just make a list man, whatever keywords and I feel are going to fit inside of my script. I put them aside my script and I make sure I put them in a titles as well, because this is a great way for you to growth hack and reverse engineer when you're writing your scripts, if you used it IQ to write Joe scripts, now you know your title is going to be good, but even if you don't, this is a great way for you to come in here and get titles that are going to pop because you could see the surge value. Every single one of these chapters is a keyword, is a phrase that through, through vid IQ, now you're not gonna be able to be perfect, but these are just ways to optimize your video. So make sure you use that IQ to do this related keywords, questions, All those things can help optimize your video. 7. How To Use YouTube In-Video Features: If you use YouTube and video features to get more views, no fluff, we get right to it. Number one, mineral ads, where your video is eight minutes or longer, you are allowed to place ads wherever you want throughout the video. If your video is short and eight minutes, YouTube does it for you. I don't like having them do this because they don't know my video. Like I know my video, especially if I set up certain places for ad breaks, how do I know that they're going to guess it? So because of that, I highly suggest placing your own Monroe had breaks. I do this on every single one of my videos. I tried to place them in certain spots where I know that I'm about to announce something. I know that I'm about to have some sort of big reveal, or it's a countdown number one, number two, number three on the throne in right there wherever you want to place them, it's up to you. I highly suggest doing it yourself because that's how you maximize your most of your revenue. Because YouTube doesn't really know I liked that. Number two cards. I know for some of y'all, you think you've got the dopants content of all time. No one's ever going to leave. They watch every single video. But if you're like any of the rest of us, people are gonna leave a YouTube videos. Yeah, Alice has to do. They don't want to watch on YouTube all day. You need to try to find a way to retain that attention when they leave. The best way to do this, I've found is what cards? Cards are little advertisements that you can place an upper right-hand corner of your YouTube video, whichever side is going to be unknown film and I can't tell you. I'll tell me that can send traffic somewhere. Where's he going to make you money or keep them entertained and on your YouTube channel, you know not going to leave anyway, so you try to retain that traffic for cards. This is a great way to know where to place them. So you're looking at older video of mine, looks like it was published in August 23rd, 20 20th, several 100 thousand views, $0.50. He has some stuff that says some stuff and people liked it. But we're going to scroll down here under analytics, it says key moments for audience retention. Now not every single video we'll have this well, once you pay teachers graph does is basically like a typical chart. People when they are watching a video and ASR fallen off. Now there are certain areas of here where you see a bigger falloff and others. You've got the intro right here where it talks about you have the top two moments, whereas letting you know, hey, right here, right here, and right here, right here where people are talking or people really checking for it. And it has a dip as well. So this is a dip to 37, that's our cut point. The third and video feature is going to get you more views as Premier. Premiere is something that most YouTube vs. don't want to do either. They can't plan that far ahead. They're scared to put their content out there. They don't know about the feature off roundness to be laughable and nonsensical, you need to be using every single feature that YouTube has is going to benefit your brand. But you definitely to be letting your audience know what's coming up next. This is marketing YouTube as a distribution channel. When you are finished with the video and you put it out there, you want people to watch it. The only way they can watch it is it they know about it. The earlier they know about it, the more time you have to talk about it and get your 30 points of marketing engagement before they actually make an action. I must say that again, this is a gymnast non YouTube related. But for everybody who's gonna deal with marketing gets some point in their life right now, you need to have your product in front of your audience, at least starting times before they make an action when you premiere your video. This allows you to have a long runway to talk about the video, to post links to that video, to let your audience know that the video is coming. The great thing about using the premier feature is once you check that box and you hit upload, the whole world can see it. The whole world can tell the world about your video off found this to be a great way for me to see what my audience likes and what they want to watch, and what content and what topics are getting them excited. Premier, every single video, I'm not going to my screen and show you how to do this right before you hit upload, just check the box for Premiere and pick a time. Whatever time you want to pick, it's up to you, but just do it on every single video. I promise that is going to help you out. 8.
