1. Introduction: hello and welcome to five steps to create a killer Lincoln Business page. As you can guess from the title in this class, we're gonna talk about making your link in business page. So before we get started, let me give you a little background. My name is Siham and Moser. As you can see, there's a lot of EMS. My name. None of them are type of I'm a digital marketer Living endeavor. I specialize in content marketing, email, marketing and social media marketing. And isn't my dog just adorable if you're back again for my second class, that greatly appreciate it. And if you haven't seen my first class, it's all about making Lincoln for your personal page, so feel free to check it out just after you finish this class. 2. Class Outline: Okay, so you're probably wondering why you even need Lincoln for your business, especially if you're Buc. But did you know that 46% of social cut traffic to corporate websites came from lengthen? And 2018? It's a great option in another social platform for your business. It's also a social platform that doesn't hurt you if you share links. As most of you know on INSTAGRAM, you can't post a link unless you tell someone to go to your bio. And on Facebook, the algorithm punishes you if you post links. Lincoln isn't like that, so let's go through the five killer staffs that help you create your business page. So that way, you're not missing out on possible social traffic to your website. So here's the class outline. We'll start with getting started. I'll start you from Point A on how to create your page, take you through all the steps we'll talk about developing your community, which obviously you need on the social platform, will create a content calendar. I'll explain the activity tab in Page admits, and then we'll go through about all your analytics. It's that way you could hit the ground running and show your boss why Linked in page is necessary 3. Step 1: Okay. The first place to start is with creating your business page. So to create your business page, you're gonna walk into your personal linked in page. Then you'll click on, create a company page, and you'll have to answer a question like, Are you an education institution or you a smaller medium size business? So let me show you how that works. So this is my LinkedIn page. We're gonna click on your face that will had shop. Then you're gonna scroll down. That's not words located. So we're gonna scroll over here, guys, we're gonna hit, create a company age. So what you want to create is either a small business medium to large business or an educational institution. Page. The showcase page would be part of your linked in business beach. So that's not where we want to start. Okay, so then you have to answer the question. Are you fewer than 200 employees, or are you more than two under employees? Or if you're an educational institution, then you click here. So let's just play around and pretend like we're fewer that U N envoys. So you're gonna want to put your name in so Let's put it Sam's business. You didn't see it pop up over here. Then you can create your tagline. So maybe I don't want these dashes in here. And I just wanted to say Sam's business. So then when I Once I create my page, people just type in Lincoln dot com slash company slash liam's business. You didn't be super creative with this. If you're interested, you could create it like your favorite photographer, if that's your interest. So keep that in mind that you can pick that, then you would put place in your website. Then you're gonna come down into company details. You're gonna pick your industry, you're gonna pick your company size, which this just goes a little more into detail, and then you're gonna pick your company type, and then you get to upload your profile in your logo. So, as you can see, it says 300 by 300 for the pixels, and then you can create a tagline, which is what shows up right here. And I just want you guys to know that if you change your tabling, you can always come back after it and you don't have to have this. It's a new part of Lincoln. Okay, so then you would click that you do work for the organization and create Page. That's how we get started on creating our business page. Um, information that you need feel for you Take a screen shot of this is your name the Earl, the Website link industry Company size company type logo and your tagline. And that's the first step to create your business page. The second stuff that we're gonna want to do is create our cover image for our business page. So Lincoln will put in a placeholder for you if you don't have one, but I highly recommend it. It's another opportunity for you to show your personal brand. As you can see, the ideal size is 1536 pixels by 736 pixels. So let me jump back really quick. I'm gonna show you what it looks like when you don't have a cover. Okay, so send someone admin. It's telling that you don't have a cover image so we could add one. So we're gonna click view as member, So if you don't have a cover in which Lincoln will add one for you like I mentioned, and it's just, you know, like this. So it's not hideous, so it doesn't have to be the person. Get telling you, Make your business page, but just think of it as another way to market your 4. Step 2: Okay, Step two is to develop your community. What is the point of the social platform? If you don't have a community there to interact with right, you're just trying to find another way to connect with people who need your products and services. So we need to figure out how to develop your committee community on linked in so I can see that there could be an argument that you should develop content before your community. But personally, I believe that you should develop your community first and find the content that answers their questions. So the first step is to invite people to follow your page, invite your employees and vital your friends and about your family's invite the people that you know on LinkedIn to follow your page, especially the people who are extremely active on LinkedIn. So the Lincoln algorithm has not gotten too complicated as of April 2019 and currently, the best way to be successful blinked. An algorithm is to have people like and share your posts, so having your employees engaged with your post is the best way for you to get reach, and we'll talk more about that in Step three Oh, hey, other people to write to your page promoter Beach on your email list. If you have an email newsletter, tell them to follow us on. Linked in. Also, promote your page with a banner on your website and finally promote your page and other social channels. Go on your lengthen. Go on your twitter. Go on your instagram, go on your Facebook and tell people toe like you on linked in and have employees post about it so that way they know to follow you. So let's talk about hash trucks. Recently linked in has brought hash ice to the platform. The Gore pulse did a huge study about it, and they found that Lincoln Post, using one hashtag, had an average of 29.59% higher views and impressions. Another reason that you want to look how to optimize hashtag sri linked in page is building your community. So I'm your Lincoln Business page. You can track up to three hashtags. If you click on that pencil on your pages, you can always add it and change them, so find it for industry topics that people are talking about. So you know what hashtag Zahra. Applicable. Also, you can see how many followers follow your hashtag, so you know if it's going to be overly saturated or what's going on in constantly tweak your hashtags. If something's trending one week but isn't trending the next, you can change set, so make sure that you're tweeting your hash times. If your business that's coming from Twitter or Instagram and you have addition hash tag Sharji, I welcome and starting there. See if your hashtag worked there on Lincoln. You know why we re invent the wheel, so test those hashtags first. 5. Step 3: Step three, create your content calendar. So after we built our page and built our community founder hashtag we're going to create a content counter because the biggest thing to be successful in social media is to be consistent. So we need to develop a cop. Don't count. Oh, here. So, personally, I'm a visual person, so I like to actually be able to physically see a content counter I've even see on the right. Here's a template. If you click the link, you can grab it. I'll add it on the bottom with the notes. And the best part about this Coptic counter that I found from Hub Spot is that it has a calendar tab. So I can quickly see what we're posting and then also has a content tab that lets me lay out all the copy. Um, pick the hashtag, you know, put the link in there, put billing to the image, everything like that. So you're all set. Also, something to think about is for this calendar. I like how it's color coded. It helps me see variety in my posts. So I know that three days in a row I'm not posting at make use because I can quickly see that with the colors, so I would recommend sticking with the colors. So content bucket ideas. Obviously, you need different ideas to post about. So here's a few examples you know you can do have accused events, service products, staff bios, block posts. Like I said, links work on lengthen. You know, different industry articles, all that kind of stuff. But you would be surprised. You probably think you have no content. Go to your website. Look at it. There's a bunch of stuff you could do there. Start interviewing staff members and have them on there. It's a great way to show more about your company. Okay, so now that we are in 2019 I am shocked that people post social content without a graphic. Make sure you posted photographic everyone scrolling. Everyone is constantly scrolling, so you need a graphic to catch their eye. It could be an image. You could make an infographic if you have the graphic department slide share is owned by linked in, so you can put a like a slide show up as a post. Or you could make a video video. Arlington is a big deal right now. They just brought it to the platform. It does extremely well, so it always recommend video. So your image sizes 1200 by 628 pixels. And just so you know, horizontal images look great on desktop and mobile to take some of these content ideas and start coming up with what could work for your buckets. Okay. So I feel like I understand the next problem you all are having. I'm not a designer mean either. You've seen this part born. I'm clearly not designer. So let's create templates. As you can see, my good friend here, Maddie Osmond s CEO genius. She's also unskilled to share. Go check out her classes. She has templates, and street art is a big part of her brand. So she just uses different street art that she finds throughout the world and then put stuff over him. So look at that. When you're creating your template, you some something like Camba to develop templates. So that way it's not too difficult. Let's talk about posting kids. So as you'll remember about two minutes ago, because I talk too fast, I mentioned that the best way to be successful on social media is to stay consistent. It's no different with lengthen. Hub Spot shared this data that the best days to post Arlington are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. As you can imagine, Monday and Fridays do not do as well. They have very low engagement. Um, also, as you could imagine, the best time supposed are early in the morning, lunchtime or after work. So think about that when you are posting, you can use different Softwares to schedule your posts. Um, A. And just think about your audience. You know, Lincoln is more professional, So just remember that when you're posting and if you want to stick to only three days a week to post their content, don't worry about it. Just pick the days their most successful for you. Bonus. Okay, So Lincoln recently has rolled out cartel suggestions, which shows what people in your industry are reading on LinkedIn. You can totally tweet this and make it your own. Remember that ai only works if you teach it what you want to see. So feel for you to go in there and look at what people are reading about. This might help you write your own block posts. This will help you find articles that are good for your industry to share. And when you open up and look at these posts, you can see other Hashtags. So figure out what Hashtags are working for other people and where you can find more people in your community. 6. Step 4: we have made it to step for utilizing the activity tab in page at Mons. All right, you're gonna do this lives. So we are on the activity tap right now, as you can see and let me go to page just to see where it's all that. So if you're on your page, activity tab is the one farthest to the right. This will show you all your social notifications. Amino sure likes shares, comments, mentions. You'll be able to scroll all down here and see all of it. And so this is where you can come. You'll also receive notifications on your desktop or your mobile device if the page that you're managing has this stuff, but the activity tab is the best way for you to be able to see all of them. Okay, So if you keep looking right over here, we have admin tools. So, as you can see, I won't read the salt you. But you could sponsor updates which would take you to an entirely different platform. You could create a showcase page which, if you remember, we saw those earlier. And those can be added within your business page so you can find them here. Also, you can deactivate your company page if need be and everything like that so you could manage your public girl. You come in here and change it, and you could manage your page admits. So let's click on So, page ad mons um, you show where they all are. I'm like Facebook. There are only admits. Um, as you can see over here, they can be put in different rules. But these four are all for advertisements. If someone is an admin on your page, they organically have all the same powers everyone else. So all the admits that we see on here for this group that I volunteer for, um all have the ability to add it post Italy and comment as the page, Um like I was saying, unlike Facebook, you can't allow certain levels. So just keep that in mind when you're adding at Mons on and always just a tip. If someone leaves the company for whatever reason and they were on the social team were helping with that. Just make sure you go through all your platforms and root them. Um, you know, most people are great people, so they probably won't do anything to your page, but you just remove the opportunity. You don't have to worry about any problems, so step for is a quick and easy one. But I just wanted to share with you guys were all that waas? 7. Step 5: Okay, The final step. Understanding your analytics so linked breaks their analytics into three groups, visitors, updates and followers. And in this little section, we're going to go through how to understand all that and what you're looking at. So why is it important to understand your analytics? All these analytics can be used to understand your audience so you can continue to create your community. You can continue to create future content. And if you hit a point where you write, do linked an advertisement, you can develop your audience. So by using this data, we could make sure that we know who to target. Um, another thing is that each tab will let you export the data so you could have all that. And if you have a different platform that you used to look at all that data, you can just put it there. OK, so we're gonna look live at the Colorado B M A, um, a company that I volunteer with, so analytics of right, actually, 50 top. We're gonna click visitors first. So as I mentioned, here's the export button. The first thing that you want to know is that each tab has this like visitor highlight. Um, or it would be a probably called update highlight and follower update Follower update. Excuse me. Um, and it's the last 30 days. You can tweet that. It's always just the last 30 days. But then if you scroll down, you have the opportunity to tweak this so you could pick how long you want it to do. Also, if your page has multiple pages, um, you've been picket. It defaults all pages. So if you don't have a full pages, you don't have to worry about anything, okay? And then you can pick the metric page views, unique visitors. Um, and so that is what this lets you see. The blue I'm that you're looking at is organ is desktop. Excuse me. And the orange line is mobile, so you can see all that. And what also linked it offers as you continue to scroll down, um is the demographics. So the demographics lets you see different things. And this is what I was talking about that could play into understanding your audience. And if you ever do advertisements so you can look at job function, location, seniority, industry, company size. So this will help you, like. Tweak. Your audiences might also help you understand your audience. If you thought you were a photographer teaching class totally for Doc Rivers and you come down here and you see that a bunch of social media people are looking, maybe that's something for you. So I have only just keep that in mind while you're looking at this and we can pick different options, you know, location, um, seniority All keep all in mind when you're creating your message. Um, you know. So, for example, obviously this is association in Colorado, So I would expect the Denver creator Denver Gray area to do well, but if you weren't in a specific location and you saw that some city nearby was doing really great, maybe that's an opportunity for you to host the event there. So just keep all that in mind. Okay? So in a school record, yeah, we're gonna look at updates. So updates is just another word for posts like I mentioned. Here's your export button again. So here is your metrics. Oh, sorry. School to best again. Highlights last 30 days. Here's your metrics, and you have the opportunity to look at my tricks by impression, unique impression of which just means one time, as compared to having an impression on one person more than once. Clicks likes common shares. Injury. I like to look at engagement rate personally, Um, I'm a firm believer that, um, impressions are vanity metric, and that doesn't mean that anyone actually did anything. So engage. The rate is what I like to look out. Um, the blue line is organic, and it will show you the data for a day today. Um, and what? How? It changed. And then the Orange line is sponsored. If you don't have a sponsored campaign, you'll just see a blue line. Okay, so and then this shows you each, um, update and the engagement, and it's kind of hard to read here, but you can scroll way across. You can see impressions, clicks, click the rate, all that kind of stuff. Um scroll. Unfortunately, my favorite number, engagement res. Always at the end. But you can see that. And once again, you couldn't export all this information. Um, I think it's a little hard to see year, so I think it's a lot easier to just export it. But this is a great way to look at how your engagement is doing and compare it to other hosts you've done to be able to tweak your content and figure it out. Also, this might be really helpful for you when you're trying to decide what days to post to see when you get the best engagement rates. Okay, so that is the end of the update, Metrics. Let's go to the last one followers. So you follower highlights again. Export. You never highlights here once again the last 30 days. So this is the graph on this one. You can Onley pick followers. Obviously. Um, green Earth. Excuse me? Blue is organic. And then if we had run a sponsored campaign about the yellow, um, you do have the opportunity. Now when you run campaigns that you can click, um, to let people follow your page so you could see that, as you can see, like different follower growth. It does show you when people stop following you. Um, so that lets you see all this. And then what I really like about this tap is the demographics. So again, we could see location, job function, seniority, you know, industry company size all that information which I can not harbor home how important this is to I understand the statements. So you are creating the contact for the right people because, um, if you're not a majority of your audience was entry level and then of being senior, maybe your content is a little Teoh lowbrow for them. Okay, so he better right? And that's something else. Alaya, as you can see what companies to track. Um, you can see how your company compares to other companies around you. Um, you know, so you can always do comparison. It's always important to do competitor analysis, but this also might help you realize who you're following also follows. So once again, you can go and look at these people and you can look at what they're posting about. Um, help you develop content. You can look at what hashtag they're using to help develop the community. All that kind of stuff. Um, it just gives you a good look at what your community is looking out on lengthen. So that is step five 8. Conclusion: thank you for making it all the way to the end with me. I hope you've learned a lot about how to create a business patriot Lengthen. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at Sam at Dempsey Mammals or not. Com comment below or at manly thin. Invite me to like your page. I definitely will. Um, I hope you guys get the most out of Burlington. I know it's not. The flashes are prettiest. The platforms they can't do as much as Facebook can. But it's definitely a great place to put out your content. To share links to put out video and connect with your business is it allows your clients prospects to connect with you somewhere else. So thanks again for sticking with me throughout this class and feel free to message me if you need anything. My guys
