About This Class

Autodesk Fusion 360 is one of the most powerful tools for 3d printing. I think the best way of learning is through praxis. You can start designing your own shapes with Fusion 360 right from the beginning with the help of the videos and lectures in this class. This class also includes quizzes so you can check your knowledge after every project. After this class you will be able to design complex models for any purpose (and also 3d print it).

1. Class Introduction: either. And welcome to the artist Fusion 3 60 via nurse course. My name is Alex, and I'll be super happy to teach you what? One of the most useful software programs for Perec design and fabrication that I have ever seen. I used reason through 60 almost every day on be really happy to share my experience with you. With fusion 3 60 you can create through the solid designs on also three breath. Um, you can also create photo realistic renderings off your design and much more. In the following, I'm gonna show you one example. Welcome back. The auditors fusion through 60 beginner scores. So we have this rendering stage already set up on. We will be in this course. We will be going over every detail how to do so on after the source. You'll I'm pretty sure you will have. Ah, solid understanding how to use fusion 3 60 on what solid modelling is. So you can see we have ah, photo realistic image right here. You could save this as a normal image on your computer. Uh, in this course, I'm gonna explain you how to do that. We will also learn how to actually create this box. Of course, Andi, Most of your time you will spend, um, in the design environment to design I'm water like that. We will be going over how to make some animation like this and how to create this object. So we'll go over how to make these strips how to make these cat outs for the all rain hold to make this snap mechanism. Also, how to connect the lead to the box right here. All that all that stuff who will also be using the timeline? This a really important feature. A fusion 3 60 Because if you have a bigger project and you made a mistake, you want to go back in the timeline before you create a whole new model. So sometimes it can go back in the timeline, fix your problem. Um, let's go back again. Continue with your design and whom we'll make also similar shapes to Islam. We'll be using a sweep to make this cable right here on something called the sculpt or form environment. To create this shape right here can see this was made in the former environment, but which has these purple solid bodies okay ons Yes. So we'll learn everything so you can do this by your own at the end of your at the end of this course. If that sounds good to you, I hope I see you in the next video. 2. Features: welcome back the course off years and 3 16 I would recommend you to go to the website of water. Next Fusion 3 60 on. Check out the features on fusion for 60. Fusion 3 60 is probably the best. Um, in my opinion, the best software for three D modeling on designing shapes. So, um, you can find the features right here. Like design three D modeling electron ICS. I made a course of our RV. You know, if you want to learn more about that, it's a microcontroller. Um, yeah, that a management collaboration are poor exciting generative design simulation, documentation, manufacturing and extension. So a fusion 3 60 is much more than just a solid designing software. I can even do You even let your continual effusions receipts to do some work for you. Um, and we will learn later on in this course how that works. But, um, in the next video, we'll learn the basics of fusion for 60 on how to use the software. See, in the next video 3. Fusion 360 Interface: Okay. I have a solid body right here. Andi will soon learn how to create those. But let's first go with over the Fusion 3 60 interface. Um, you can see of you cube up here on and what you can do, you can select the, um, the views. Only one of you, your model. So here, on our view, from the top, you just click on the top. You can also rotate it if you click on their errors right there. Also click on the edges or also in the corners on it will rotate your body or on the center of mass. So that's important. Okay, um, I would recommend you to use up miles instead of a track. Bad. I mean, you could use a track that, but it's much easier to use a mouse with fusion 3 60 on. I'm also using the controls off in your car. Um, because I started with Tinker Cash. I just want to continue. I didn't want to turn that you refused through 60 controls, if you want to do the same. Okay. So if you go on your name on your preferences, you can change to the Tigger Cod or whatever you want. Controls should show up in a second ago. So there we have Pan Zoom or Buttrick cuts. Tigger. Cad. Um, you will probably have fusion. If you want to change your ticket car, you can do that. I'll be using 10. Your cat. Okay, so if you're using the tenure cat controls, the right click is used to rotate around your model Basically the same that you could do with a cube on the If you if you click onto the scrolling wheel, you can drag around your model. Okay, so, um, if you have a project open, you have that tab up here. And if you want to create a new design, you just open in Utah on create your design in here on, um, every town has sucked up, but right here with a different, um, tools on the top right here. That's the tools that fusion to your 60 things are the most commonly used to. So, um, you can find the the other tools if you click on the, um, on the arrow right here, and then you see all the tools that are that you have to add is your model under modify, Create sambal construct, Inspect, insert select Will learn how to use that later on. Okay, so, um, you can also change the style off of you If you go to visual style. Can change if if your computer is lagging or something, you can change the style wire frame, which is times times really useful. If you have a lot, edges can be useful. I was gonna go back to normal Moat can also do multiple of use. They will give you multiple use basically so you can see your body from the top from the back from the left from the arrived. Whatever you want. If you select something, it will select and add it on every view because it's only because of the same model. Obviously, I'm gonna change that back single view that Ariel on. And if you want to save something, you can click up here on the safe bottom, um, were used control five. If you save something, it will save it into a clout so you can open and edit it on another computer. You don't have to drag it around with the news, be USB stick, so if you save it Scott. It's called Test on a still making new project, also called Test se. Aunt, We're going to put that into the test project Name test. There go some click safe. It will save every time. It will save different versions off your mobile. So if you say that the first time, it will be version one. If you save it another time will be version two or three. Version four on salon on. If you want to look at your if you want to look at your, um, if you were just off your and your design, you can go to your project, which is test in this case, and then you have the different models in here. You can also make a new folder, but I think we don't have that right now so you can open it. It's already open, so it's not gonna open again. Another thing that I wanted to mention, you don't really have to worry about the updates. It will update it automatically, so you need just you just need a under Internet connection on you can see on the job status can see oclock on. If there's a one you will know that it will make an update so you can see a new version of fusion 3 60 s landed. When you're ready to start, you ready? We start to get the latest goods so it will restart fusions or six out, get the new update on fusion for 60 always or or less always listens to the community. So they're quite a lot updates on. Um, you have the software is improving a lot. Okay. The next video, we'll learn about the environments off fusion 3 60 Stay excited on seeing the next video. 4. Fusion 360 environments: okay. This video, it's also to show you how the fusion through 60 interface works. In the previous videos, I mentioned that there are different environments on. We have environments on the left. If you click on design, you can see different environments right here on day. We will mainly used to the design and the render environment. We won't really use the gift of other environments because, um, you need a bigger project. Eso you can do stimulation and stuff. So we don't really need the those environments for the course. But we will mainly learn how to use the design, and they're under environment. Okay, so, um, in the design environment, we have the form environment. So that's an environment for more curved bodies. Free sculpt blood environment so you click to create can create a box on No. You have to select a construct or a plane where you wanna where you wanna, um um create your box? So just going here on done can just great a boss with whatever size on bond. Now, you see, you have that box right here. Uh, what do you can do? You can modify the box if you click on the modify. I can No, you can select, um, point or face. I was gonna select God's on. You select the face. You can drag it around on for you. Um, a new body out of the blocks, basically, so I can see can grab it on. The body will change. Like Assad, there's really important. Important if you you're trying to create something, uh, some curved body. This is really gonna help you a lot so you can drag it around on. Look something like that on. Um, as you see, if you go to the form environment, you can see that purple icann's so that are you tools based on the form environment, so you can see the interface changing as you're trying to do something new. So the tooth also change based on what you're doing. Okay, so now we have all were, um, our school body, which is not a body right now, But if we finish the form, it will become a boy. So that part that we just created with a former environment is a body now. So it's not different to this body, which I created, um, with a solid environment. Still an environment also can just click on creates on destroying it's fear. Andi. You can also use the your faces off your off your bodies as as a plane so you can click sound the bottom. I can click on, Create a sphere. No, it is thinking, because we have the spear is going into old body. So here's three sixties thinking that we want to make a hole in to our solid body right here. But let's not do that. Let's say the sphere is going to join our other solid body so the sphere and the other body will become one body. If we press OK, this whole thing here it's one buddy because we joined, Um, we joined those together. So we have. Yeah, On the left, you can see the tree. Um, we have the solid body, which is one body, as you can see. So everything is blue, like have you selected can see what belongs to that body and we have another body right here which we create within the form environment. Let's just call that before, so as a so you can see, you can also change the names off the bodies. Okay, um you can also insert some STL files into fusion 3 60 So if you have some design that you created outside fusion 3 60 you can insert that into a fusion through 60. So we will learn later how to do that. But this is just a example how the fusion 3 60 interface changes if you change the environment. So I'm gonna, um, close the other bodies. Um, I just close them. They're still there, but they're only not showing. So if you click again on the I there showing now on, um, click it again. They're not showing anymore, but they're still there. I have already have. Ah, a c l file inserted that I created outside fusion 3 60 Well, that's that Peller here, um, can see it has a ah kind of purple pink color. So if you see that color, that's a mesh. Andi, you can deal with those in the mesh environment for the mesh environment. We need to de activate the timeline. The timeline ISS arrived at the bottom profusion 3 60 on. You can see what we did here. So we created that sphere. It's gonna show that again. So before we created this fear. Well, it looked like that on after the spare. Um, you can see that the spirit joint of the body. Yeah, we have to deactivate the timeline because the mesh environment is kind of instant soldiers . Not really something like time. So we need to deactivate that you can do that if you go to to the top, to the top. Right here. Right Click on go to bought him to Do not capture design history. Andi know you press continue so that design history or the timeline will be removed. Right now, you will have no longer access to the timeline. So the timeless removed and you can see there is a new environment popping up cold mash. You can open that. I was gonna, um, decorate the other bodies. So I have the that C l file, which I inserted into fusion 3 60 Um, on the mesh environment, you can add it The STL files or the mash. It is based on the mesh mixer off the desk. That's another software. Um, yeah, you could reduce the faces on other stuff, but there's one mawr environment that I want. Teoh show you the sketch, so it's gonna open the our solid body. And so if you click on the sketch, which is here in the solid body environment, you can create a sketch that's like a drawing. You need to select a face. So let's just select that on the top. And now we can see there is a new environment popping up again with different tools on a let's make a rectangle can go on to create and then rectangle se two point rectangle Those we selected the face on the top off our body so can draw on the top of our body So you can see we have a drawing right now. Don't. Well, you know we have ah rectangle. We can finish the sketch So we will go back into the normal solid body environment. What we can do now we can extrude the sketch. So, um, we will have Ah, you will have ah rectangle solid rectangle and also the sketch. So the sketch will still be there. But we will also have a rectangle as you can see him. So I just clicked extreme selected the plane or the sketch story on extruded so no can click OK, and now we have We created another extruded body on top of our first body on that our sketch environment. So I hope that help you understand the inter facial Few fusion 3 60 on see in the next video. 5. Sketch intro: All right, let's get more, a little bit mawr into the sketch environment. So on the left top corner you can see a create sketch. I can. If you click on it, you will see a few planes on on the Cube. You can select your view, so let's just draw our sketch from the top. Then we select that plain and see that's the planning will select. We're drawing from the top, and now you'll have a few Aikins. You can see the full tools. If you click on the create something, you will see the like line or single circle more. Let's just all our rectangle two point or tango. We can start in the origin on, and as you can see it, we can drag your mouse left or right or top to bottom. Andi. We can also type in some values like I don't know, maybe 50 millimeters. The unit is 50 millimeters, but you could change that in the preferences, so we will just be using 50 millimeters on. As you can see after we type in the number, there's something like a lot. Now we can change the value anymore, not with our mouths at least, so it can still change the horizontal length, but not the vertical. If you want to change if you want, type in, uh ah, vertical length. You can click on the tab button. Andi. Now we can select different lengthen. No, you have a lock there as well. The only thing that can do now is change the position off your rectangle, but you can't change the values with your mouth. So if you want to move back or changed the bell, you off your vertical length. You can click the top button again, and you're able to change it Also. Also, if you wanna change the value of your miles, you can click escape on, the lock will disappear. You will be able to move your ex Ingo or resize it, and once we have created our rectangle, you can click on finish sketch on. You'll get back to the solid environment and under create yes, something like extrude hunt with extra Oh, sorry. With the extreme function, you can make a box out of the rectangle so well, that's that's basically a profile, and we need to select a profile because it's the only profile that we have fusion will select that automatically probably. But, um, yeah, if it didn't select, you can just click on it and it will select it. No, you can't drag it up. You won't get a box. Okay, if you click, you can change the height off your box here or also here. Um, they just example so that we have a box. We also still have our sketch. If you click under sketches, you can see the sketch. One is not showing. I want to show it. And now I can see the blue, the blue lines again. If you click on their bodies on click on, not show the body one, you can see that we still have our or sketch. Let's get back to the sketch environment. Let's throw another sketch from the top of you. We can make a free line. If that's what you want to do. You can click on the line on start wherever you want on a Z can see. If you move your mouse around, you can change the length off your line, so but you could also type in some some life. So it's a 200. If you left click your mouse. That way we will have the line and you're still in the line on the line drawing so you don't get kicked out. They can just draw another line. Andi know why. And if we close it, it will automatically finish the line so I can see the line is finished. Now, we can't really draw. Well, we can't. We could, um, start here and draw something else, but yeah. So if you draw a line and it's not closed, you will see that check Check Mark. And if you click on it, it will basically finished the line. And if you want to get out off the line drawing you click escape, you can see Right now there's that, uh, we have the blue line selected, and if you took escape, we get out of it. Um, okay, so we have a few red Aikens here. Constraints. Let's try and use the horizontal vertical constrain what it means. It'll basically they dio 90 degrees angle between two lines. Let's just use this line on this line and you can see you know, we have a 90 degree angle right here. Click escape. Andi, There we go. What do you also can do? You can select the corners if you double click it, you can select it on drag the cornice around. But as you can see no. Uh, no matter what we do, we will still have that horizontal vertical position off the two lines that we selected on the left so can drag around. They're so resentful. Vertical. Okay, there's also tension function if you wanna draw circle So this big on escape on select attention. Now we can select the circle on the line and will become attention. God, No matter what we do, it will stay Attendant can also move the circle. We can change the circle if you move the middle point of all, go change it. But it's still tangent to to the line that we selected. Okay, so now we can finish the sketch on whatever you want to do You could again could extrude it . What? You can select multiple profiles on extrude both at once and as we extruded, we will get a solid body out of it. So we have, um, multiple solid bodies here. We have this under on our strange looking shape and now we have, um, under solid and the solid environment. We have the modify tools. So a pretty a pretty popular Tulis Fill it. If you click on, fill it, you can select multiple edges. Let's just like this one. Uh, this one and what you can do now you can drag that into into the body on you will see. But it will make it, Philip. Okay, press OK. Will save it. That we have are two bodies that we created out off sketches. I hope you have a better understanding off sketches now on. Have fun with the next video. 6. Creating basic shapes: okay. Lets go over hoe to create basic shapes. Likes us fair or square or rectangle there usually multiple ways how we can achieve that shape. Um, you could draw ah, sketch or just use the sample shapes that he can find under creating the solid environment . Let's create a box. Now we need to select the the construct that we were the location where we want to, um, where we want to create all or rectangle. I'm just gonna go to the you can see on the Cube. We are from the top of you. Let's just create it from the top of you. And now you can drag drag it to the rides and also to the bottom, uh, just create shape with any measurement. Doesn't really matter. I know. So, um, we have a little rectangle here. Ons make it a little bigger like that. Okay, so that's one way off creating the box as you I can see you under create you could create ah, cylinder the same way all of us line star. Select the plane on so it can see the diameter. And you can put a number in. They're just gonna make 50 Andi make it a little bigger. So we have a rectangle and a cylinder. Okay, let's switch to the call to the sketch environment. Um, now, go under creates a rectangle three point rectangle. Now you can great Derek Tingle with three points. Basically, there we go. Let's also create a circle. Also gonna make that 50 millimeters in diameter. No, I can see a blue sketch. That's a sketch. Looks like, um, you can also move objects. You can see that. Um, four arrows, if you're selected, can see you move. Copy. What do we want to move lesson with body first. So it's elected body. Put it on the chop. So we have our selection. We have our body or dangle selected. And now we can notated on can also move it like that. Also, free hunt. Move it, Drug it around. Well, obviously the same will work with us. Boss Cylinder. You can also move sketches so you can see move, object. It's a sketch object. So no, you need to select the sketch. This gets me to select or a lot all the lines off the rectangle. Because if you thought, if you don't select all of them. I like only one. It will just change the sketch, aunt, as the only want to move it. You want to select all of it? No. We have everything selected on. We can move our sketch. Same works for the cylinder. Just put it next of the rectangle on now to make a box off off, off a sketch, one extruded. So select the That's Jude. You can also find right here or Pressey. No, I wanna selected sketch on extruded on. As you can see, we'll get a box out of it. That's nobody. For some reason, um, the circle is not showing anymore. If that's the case, you just go to Sketches on and Click Show. So sketch three. We're just in the circle. I want to see the diameter if you double click on it, okay? And if you have multiple bodies and you just wanna, um, get the bodies out of the view so we can just click on, click on close or deactivate bodies so they're not showing anymore. You can still see the sketch because the sketch is still there. It's if you if you extrude the sketch there, only a solid body, but the sketch will be still there, obviously. Okay. But we want so on 1/2 of the bodies. Solid bodies on and let's also extrude of the circle. Okay, so now you can see we have two pretty same similar shapes, one that we created in the solid environment, more to on the other two that we created with a sketch that we extremely afterwards. And see this sketch under your solid body and on the bottom at the time line. If you go back to the beginning, you can look what we did. So we first created a box in the solid environment, Then create a cylinder. Then we made two sketches. Ah, circle and rectangle. Then we moved the cylinder and we extruded the rectangle. And then we exhorted the circle. So, um, they're usually multiple ways of doing a project on Sometimes it's better to use the sketch on extreme the sketch, and sometimes it's better. Just use the solid environment, because it's just easier. Um, yeah. Once you have created your, um, you're shapes, they will stay the same for the rest of your project. So if you want to change them, you would have to go back in the timeline where you actually made the shape I could just double click on it and you can see that's where we extruded I just double click on the extrude on the extrude on the streets Cylinder on now we can shake It will go. No, actually, let's collect on this one. So at this point, we did not extreme the circle yet, so we can change the how far we extrude we can change How far we extruded the square was just making a little bigger. Andi No, I can see the timeline moved back to the beginning and the of the, um the box is now higher, so you don't need to undo everything. If you want to change something, you can just go back, um, in the timeline and change it there. But if you wanna undo something, you can see that a row to the left undo Do add feature. If you click on it, I can see that will undo extrusion Re do it. You can also press controls that or control Why, That will do the same. Okay, I hope you like that and see in the next video 7. Mirror Sketch: all right. There is one more thing that I want you to show about Sketches. So let's say we want to create a table. We won't make a rectangle two point rectangle or whatever will make 50 year 100 millimeters top on. Let's make a few cylinders to make one here. 12 millimeters. I don't know. Same thing here. There we go. You finished the sketch can extrude this maybe 10 millimeters and up to show this sketch so it can extrude the legs. You can just select multiple profiles and extrude them. Babies are really long legs, maybe Like that. Okay, we have one one table. The problem is now, if you want to changed the yet the diameter off one leg you would you would have to change the diameter off each leg home. Yeah, so that would take a long time on. Imagine if you would have 100 legs be a crazy tasks to do there. So I'm gonna show you a way. How you can dio create that foster with a mirror function. So let's go back to the sketch, double click on it on, and let's delete all of them except this one. So right click delete. Deletes Awesome little eat this one. Like I said, there was a murder function. Oh, is it near? Before we do the mirror, we need to make a mirror line. So let's make a line. Okay? I'm not gonna do it in the middle, just for fun. I'm gonna show you what happens. Okay? So if we have the mirror line here, Andi, try and do the mirror as if you want to mirror the US The circle on select. This is a mere line. We get the circle out off outside of the table on. We don't want the leg out outside off the table. Make no sense to do that. So we need to have the mirror line in the middle. Well, how are we going to do that? There is constrained called midpoint. It's like that on. We want to have the Merrill line as a midpoint. Well, the horizontal line. If you click the horizontal line on the midpoint line, they will. The midpoint line will go to the horizontal line. Well, in the middle of the result line, if we try it again, Dr Merits And like this is your object. The middle line Is this on? There we go. We have the, um, circle on the right side. Andi also, if we change the diameter of a circle, it's 1 20 It will change on the other side as well. Okay, let's put it back to 10. And you can see this one is also 10. Well, we don't have the bottom circles, so let's create them as well. So we need another line. I'm stop. Put it right here. Okay? Uh, no. Before we merit, let's use the midpoint constrain again. So select your line that you want to use as a mirror on all support it, um, on the vertical line, right? Yeah. Do you not finished the sketch? That's what I wanted to do. Right now, let's go to mirror again. And now we have this. Oh, the circle that we want him there with this line. Okay, So press OK, you can see that we only get, um, one circle. But we also need this circle. So let's get let's go back. Create the mirror again. This time, select this circle Annals of the circle. And now we select the airplane on we get the perfectly, um, awesome table? Uh, no. If we change the diameter 2 20 millimeters again, press enter All of them Will 20 millimeters as a diameter 20 would be too big, but seven on all of them have seven millimeters of diameter. Okay, finished the sketch. This won't work. But doesn't we have different circles right now? But whatever, we will just delete all features after history marker. And now we want to extrude this general meters or no, maybe 5 15 5 Okay, we also want to extrude the profile, but circle pro phone so you can select all our one son just extruded on there. We have our table. Like I said, if you go back double cake on the schedule, click on this sketch on you changed. One, 2 13 maybe too big. It's pretty vapor. Let's try it in your sketch on you Go back to the timeline, Teoh. You will see that it changed. It did the same thing with the with the circles that way that we did with the previous circles. So that will save you a lot Work if you have many, um, sketches 8. Mirror Solid Body: He might also want to just mirror ah, solid body which you could do the infusion. 3 60 Let's create one real quick make the line something like this. Then there's the sketch. Strewed it, move it up Something like a house on. If you want to mirror something, you can go under, create there selected. Um, the pattern type will be a body. If you want a mirror body, you could also mirror faces on other things. So it's selecting body. We select this on No, I could use the origin planes or create your own construct. Or you could make an offset playing right here. Andi. Then you can just select your object on select the mirror plane and you will have the object. Um, on the other side, you could also select the face on your object as a plane. Andi, there we go. We have this object which are actually two objects right now. I can see your body one and buddy too. Turn off the construction. If you want to combine these objects, you can click under modify from blind or dis click that I cannot hear. No, I can select the objects that you want to combine on the operation will be joined and press OK and I can see we have one solid body. 9. How To Export: again. If you want to put a print of body in three D printed body infusion 3 60 Open. Just gonna take the body that we created in the last video. You want to go under bodies, select your body. Right. Click it safe. STL. You go. You can also right click on the component on safe STL as well, If you would have another body. Um, under that component, you would have your print to bloodies, Actually, but if you want to print only one specific body, just click on that body under bodies. Right Click save as STL. Make sure that former is binary and refinement is high. That's okay on seven. Wherever you want. Saved on downloads. Save it, Andi. Then you just open your slicer. Andi, put your body into the slicer. Okay, This was a pretty big body. So can't three d print this one, but you get the idea 10. .stl file to solid: if you need to add it in STL file. There's also away infusion for things that you do that you need to go to insert and then insert mesh so that technology is based on mash weeks. Er, which is Ah, also sulfur off organist on that. Basically, just select your STL file. It's gonna open this one on there. You have yourself oil. You can see it's pig shape. Andi, you need Teoh. Deactivate your timeline to edit your mesh or your SNL file so you need to go to your component. Right Click on Do not capture design history in the bottom. Continue. I know. You see, there is no design history, butts. Now we can see there is a mesh that opens new environment. You could do some cool stuff like plain cut. Select your mesh body. Now you can cut it. So Okay, so look like that. But that's not what you want to do. Probably if you need to do more than just cutting on little designing, you would need to to convert your mesh into a solid body. So we need to go to the solid environment, select your body, right click on, then could see Nash to body on operation. You body after a second, you'll have a body. Looks kind of weird because you have a lot of faces, but that's all it is. You can change that. But now you have a solid body on. You could do the same stuff that you would also do in. How would a normal with a normal in a solid environment created shape? You could Oh, make a officer plane beside or a middle plane machine that IHS, you need to select two faces Andi the construction but will be in the middle of these two faces. So I selected the order to faces Press. OK? And now you can see um, the plays in the middle off these two faces what he could do? No, we could go on and modify split body. Good. Select the body and that's splitting tool. I want to select the plane and now you can see there is a red circle that indicates where you're splitting is press OK now we have two bodies. This body of this body will turn off the construction or the plane. So we have you also still have the mash body but this is not showing because we don't need it. So we have one body on second body, and that's about it. What could happen to you is is that you insert STL file that has too many faces. So that's a pretty complex. Straight. You can see it has a lot basis much more than the previous shape that if you want to if you want Teoh, convert that into into a solid body again, do not do not capture the design history. If you want to convert that to a solid body that will not work immediately because he got a warning, get too many faces. Do you need to read? Use them so you need to go to the mash environment. I got the warning right here again. I didn't modify. We have the reduce. So when you just select our body just like here, we have the body selected on No, I can see face count. If it's long face comes, you can change it to face. Count on. I think the limit off fusion 3 60 is 10,000 face faces presents, so we'll just use 10,000 for us. Okay, on There we go you can see we have way. Last face. It's now. Yeah, it will reduce the quality a little bit bus if you want to. Three d printed. I wouldn't worry too much about it. So now it could just go back to the solid environment. Right? Click on your mash master body. You body take some time, but eventually we will get the body. There we go. Now you can see we have a body like it's that the quality is not as good as as off the mash , but still okay with that body again. Could do whatever you want. Okay? Making offset plane on a face that on Go gan could split the body. You want to split body? Select your to you have the circle? No, we get two bodies again. That off We have body that body. Yeah. I hope you're a better understanding of the mash environment Now let's see the next video 11. Sculpt in Fusion 360: there is an environment call form environment. It's also called sculpt. It's extremely useful if you have curved bodies like the these chairs that I created off one plane and also one operation on the time one, as you can see, and in this video, I'm gonna teach you how to create that or how to use the form environment. So let's go to the former environment. It's that purple hue up here. Click on it. We need to select a play now so I can see plain also up here. Now select the plane where you wanna place your plane. This case on the bottom gonna go to the top of you. I don't. It's place it here. No can create the size of your plane. I think that's pretty good. No, I have. It's a really important I have 16 faces. You probably don't have 16 faces. I have 16 faces because already did that. These two chairs appear, so we need at least 16 faces. How to change that? Let's say you have four or six faces length faces. You wanna put four into the length. Faces on with faces. Also four. So four by 4 16 on. We have 16 phases and press OK. There's a modify function or edit form so you can edit your plane. Now you can select a face school. It's like the older face. Now what you can do, you can drag your base your playing around and stretch it a little. Okay, so that already pretty hard to create in a different environment or even in a different software. But that's not what we want to do. Just got undo it. I want to make a symmetry. This I can up here murder internal. It's also here now we want to select playing here and here and now you can see we have a green line in the middle. You could select any plain on the outside and play on the other side. And if you select a face on this side, you will see that you also select the place the face on the other side. Sorry. And if you make changes to this side, they will also accurate for the other side. So this really useful because you don't need to make to objects. You can just symmetry like merit. Pretty samore function. What we want to do now we want to modify it. So let that face and you can see over. If we if we would just drag it around, it was like stretching the plane. But that's not what we wanna do. You wanna extruded. So we need to press old while we're pressing old. Want to drag drag it to the rights like that. Okay. So I can see we changed the plane. The face here, The same thing happened to the other side. Well modified again. It was like this base. Now press old on. Move it up. Um, you can so let go off off your mouse to make a few more faces. I think that's high enough for our chair press. OK, I actually want to make a little thicker, so aw, modified again on now, we need to select multiple faces. So when you do press control button, we will select all these basis on move to the front. That's good enough. Uh, now modify again on this time will select these 123 four faces Andi John Dragon into the chair. Okay. There's one important thing. You don't want to drag it to deep because if there's intersection between the two surfaces . Um, if usual, give us an error. We will not be able to create a solid body. So you can see if I move it too far down, there will be an intersection which we there's just extreme. But you can see there There are different intersections between surfaces on. We don't want out in the chair, so we just should I get a little Don't be already too far. Just like that press. Okay? I don't think they're in your just sections. I think that looks pretty good. Like two beautiful chairs. Now let's finish the form. There we go. So if you open your body tree, you can see that this is not a solid body. This is just a surface. If you moved down, you can see it's the yellow shape again. Andi, you can not through He print that because it doesn't have any thickness. But you could do the same with a box. Eventually It created box solid box. Or is it here? Um, do the same. Okay, I'm not gonna do that blots. If you want to keep it, that you could do that with a box as well. I hope you understand the sculpt environment off fusion 3 16 And he had a lot of fun with this video, so see in the next video. 12. Planning: I know sometimes if your project you just want toe start designing and sketching inside Fusion through 60. But sometimes it is better to plan and draw something before you actually start drawing inside Fusion 3 60 And that's what I did as well. Right here. Let's take that inside Fusion 3 60 And I'm gonna explain you what we're gonna do. Infusion 3 60 You actually have the option to import an image if you go to insert Andi No uncertain mesh when you want Insert canvas. Now we can insert form your computer. You could use my sample images. I will upload them to one drive. So we condone. Told them I made two drawings. It's gonna put that here, make them a little bigger. Um, there we have our image. Let's also import the other image from the side the side view, which looks like. But if you go under canvases to your image and right click it, you can calibrate it. That means basically, you'll make it the original size. So we need Teoh use unknown dimension to calibrate our image. And we know that this is 100 millimeters. So we select this point at this point Andi that we have 12.3 millimeters, which is wrong. So we type in 100 millimeters on a much bigger. But that's more or less the rights that mention same thing with the other image. So this is not 30 millimeters, that's 50. There we go. So there are a couple of ways we can make that object we could make a sketch on. Just draw the lines. We know the angles and the distance, so there'll be no problem. We also have a hole that goes through the entire object on. We have a cylinder at the bottom, which is 25 millimeters long, has a diameter off five millimeters on you can see it's a tangent to the front edge and also tangent to the right to the left. Maj. Sorry, Onda. We, of course know what this length ist. I didn't draw it, but we know about this length of 50 million. Readers know this like this 30 15 months, 30 is 20. So this length ISS 20 millimeters Same with this one. This length is 25 millimeters. The whole length is 50 millimeters So 50 minus 25. 25. So we know that the books will be 25 millimeters by 25 millimeters by 100 millimeters because it will go all through the entire body. So, like I said, there a few ways to create that shape. I think the easiest one is to just create two boxes and then cut the small small box out of the big box salt's created box here. Okay, Andi, I wanna have it 50 by 15 millimeters. Okay? No, I want to extrude it by 100 millimeters. Minus 100 because it will go to the back. Doesn't go to the front of retired 100 will go to the front minus hundreds. We'll go to the back. So we have a box. Now let's move that little join Lou to the back. So the side drawing at canvas just want to move it back just a little bit like this. You can also change the canvas. A passage e. So it's 50 right now. Could make it mawr like 100 more or less like zero. If you make zero, you don't see anything. So you don't want to do that, Okay? I'll leave it by 15. All right. What? You ready? First, Let's create first the cat out. So we need a different another box. But we want to select on you want to select the plane will be the front off all our big box and we want to select Dadge. I'm done. This will be 25 by remember, If you want to change to the different length, you need to tap tap bottom. And if you wanna unlock it, can you do press escape? Okay, so that's good. We don't want to join the body. Wearing what? I cut it out So we move it back on SEC operation will be automatically cut because fusion recognizes that we go through a body. I think that looks already pretty good. We have not 25 millimeters on the 20 millimeter Sear the 25 millimeters here. You can use the inspect function to check that. Yeah, measure we measure can select. I know the point up here at the point down here on as you can see, it's 2025 millimeters. So we did everything right. Since the side should be 25 millimeters. What shall we do next? Let's create the whole So you see the whole function. There's also on. I can up here. Click here, Andi. Well, where do we want to create our whole? So I just No, sorry. Back to the rights. So, like this? Andi, that's just an example. I didn't really mean to put a hole in the special specific position, but we're just gonna put it here so it can drag it around where you want to make your whole for this year so I can see the diameter on the length off. The whole can also change the drive. Here. You will see that this is 10 millimeters if you make it bigger. Um, get up your whole body Eventually. We said the diameter is five millimeters road here, so we pull it five millimeters in here five, which is pretty small. It looked pretty big on the, um, on the drawing. You know, I didn't do it quite right. So can go if you did something wrong, you go back in the timeline, double click on your operation on, then you can redo it so you can see how far our whole ghosts actually into everybody. I just want to go all through it. And now we have a five millimeter five million. Your whole actually. Um yeah. The whole trip, actually. Three millimeter. I'm sorry. The cylinder that's down here should be five millimeters. So I'm gonna change that real quick. It's got back in the timeline, but three millimeters in done. You can see this whole will be three millimeter wrist can measure it, and you can see Diana Wrist three millimeters. Okay, Now we're ready to get our cylinder. That's tension to this line. On also attention to this line. Let's move to the bottom. Okay. Can create a cylinder down here, or which is better at this point because we need to use, um you need to use some constraints. Eso got off here. The diameter off, the whole should be five millimeters. Okay. So you can draw the line anywhere, Make sure already did. But make sure that you'll select the face in the face that is up here because you want to draw your center cylinder from the top to the bottom, so I'm gonna draw it on the model. So I selected this face on. We will sorry our whole or cylinder here, just five millimeters diameter, like I said. And now we will use 10 tension function. Teoh. What tension constrain To move into this, Um, that's escape. We used again to move it all. Something visage you can see looks kind of different in the drawing. But it is the same thing. Let's tension to this line on also attention to this line. The only thing that we have to do now is to extreme that center on. We're done with the shape. So when I finished the sketch no, that's true. I want to select the cylinder and we know that the length off the center should be 25 millimeters. But you could make it easier. If you're 3 60 you can just select the plane that you are. Cylinder should go to or should extra too. So I want to select this plane. If I left click on it, you will see that the cylinder will go down on the cylinder. True, if you see that there is a number 25 millimeters likely as we predict it before. Because this line is 25 millimeters on the total is 50 millimeters. So this will be 25 millimeters as well Look impress. Okay, Andi, we finished our shape you can turn off the canvas now. Quick on the I know it's not showing here. You can see our, um, shape made with the help off the canvas. So especially if you have a bigger project going on, it's really useful to draw something on. Put it inside Fusion 3 60 So that will help you a lot depend see in the next video. 13. Lofting Project: okay. Today we'll learn a little more about lofting on. We were how to create Creates the axe worth aloft in the love environment. Gonna changed in you design. When you insert in image, you can download that image under resource is if you want to do that. Okay, so it's going to select the bottom plane. Pretty small. Let's resize it right. Click calibrates top in the bottom. Let's say the distance is 300 millimeters. There we go. Okay. We need to create some planes. Like a lot. Let's move the cannabis to the plane. So at canvas, move it. Think about what's really good. Let's great another plane. But before we do that, let's loft the front off the axe. So we need to sketch something Well selected. That plane. I need to use a rectangle center rectangle. So, like the job here. You can't now we want to go roughly to the center on. Just get out like this. Okay, finish sketch. We also need a sketch right here. So can you sketch fit? Let's use the fit points blind, which is pretty much the same as a line. Oh, I messed up one right here. That's better. Check on finish sketch. We can't extreme. But remember, we can use the sheet metal, so select flinch. So like the sketch. Let's move it up. Our No. 0.5 millimeters, which is not a lot. It will help us create the loft. So go back to the solid on their we have loft, select the rectangle as a profile and see you have profiles that we have a profile one so dangle, or actually even better is if we select. This is our first profile. This is our second profile cooperation. Join. If you have something different, go to join press. OK, well, when this doesn't look very good, we need to drag these to the order. Most on position. Same with the right one. Okay, this is a lot more clean. Okay, we're ready to create the other planes. So upset plane. I want to create All right here. Okay. Let's move the image again at a cannabis. Move it up a little. So the plane IHS on on the top of our X. It's OK. We also need to move the solid body now, But that's not a problem. I can just function and move it up so you can see these arrows up here. Select that solid body, then move. Type the arrows. Press OK on There. We have it. We need to other planes. So we need a plane between this plane on this plane, so well, use the mid plane to create that. There we go. So we have a plane between the left and the right plane. Just the middle plane on another plane at the bottom, off the axe. Use an offset plane off. This one on. Moving down way. Go on. We're ready to create our first sketches for handle. Let's start with a what? Him plane. I want to create a ellipse, which is pretty similar to a circle. I want to go to the edge. You can select the middle, roughly the metal. Um, you need to make a horizontal, um, horizontally line before you can create the lips. So Well, I feel like this one is a little too small. Creative, A little bigger. One my thought. There we go. Finish sketch on. We want to do the same for for this plane. My lips. I want to make kids maybe a little smaller than the previous one. People like this finished sketch, Um, finally making the lips on this plane, so yeah, create whips. Start from the origin make. I'm gonna make it a little bigger. I was pretty small. I think it's pretty good. Look in, like, finished sketch. No, we are ready to create the loft. So let's select the bottom profile on this one. Um, this one. I lost this one. Okay, it seems like this profile in the middle is still too small. So let's edit that. If you wanted, that is something you can go back in. The timeline double click it on, and it it it's gonna No. Okay, there we go. It's like a little bigger one. No, like this. Okay, finish sketch. Let's try it again. Loft bottom on that. Okay? No. If you want out on remove a profile, it can just click on the on the plot on the cancel sign. Okay, That's great. 1/3 1 Still doing Okay, so that looks much better. Now we can create the fourth profile. Uh, there we have our X 14. Advanced Lofting: okay. And this video will learn a gamble that more about lofting Andi about a tool that is called rails. Um, you need to use that if you have, Ah, curved body going to show you like a handle. Need to insert on image. You can force Donald that image. If you want to handle, put it in front, make it on a bigger let's make it. I don't know. Maybe, um, maybe it's something like 30 or pondering millimeters. That's better. Okay, now we need to do pretty much the same as in the ex video. We need two planes, One for the bottom on one for the top. We will use an officer playing to do that. Okay, so now we want to create a lot of Korea sketch on the bottom plane. That will be an ellipse starting the origin. Move it out. So will be like that. Finished the scotch. We'll start a new scotch for the plane. On the top on will create pretty much the same thing. Okay, finish that off. Um, and blast, we need Teoh. We need to show the some points off the sketches to be able to use to be able to use the slime just like a line Onda, we need Teoh. Go to I just did it. We need to go to approach act and then you need to have the, um not the body when you have a purple specified energies selected on the projection A link Also selective No can select the geometry. So we have this one. This one? Yes. OK, now I can see these purple purple points there. The projection on the plane that we selected No can start the fit points blind selected. You need to go from this point. Basically draw it out. This on. Um, move it on here. Okay, compressed check on. Finished the sketch on. We're ready to create the loft. So? So, like, the loft you go from the bottom to that's all on and okay. Didn't select the rail automatically, so we need to do that under rails. Click on Plus on. Select the rail on. As you can see, it's progress. Okay, We have that beautiful shape, and if you want to, you don't want the the shape of the curve to have on this side. You can go back to the sketch on and make another line. Don't use the fit pulling Sline. Just use the normal line on. Select this point on this point. Finished sketch. Now you Well, you also need to change the loft because we have a second trail. Continue this, Uh, there we go can turn off the canvas on. As you can see, we only have well, one side with a curved Oh, yeah, One curved side. Okay. I hope that helps you on. You know what to do in the future. If you have a project like that, what I see in the next video. 15. Sweep: Let's check out the difference between a sweep on the loft function. So if you go ago under create, you can see loft on sweep. Let's create a lot first because we already know how to do that. We need to, um, making ofs up plane. Select this one or actually, who can immediately You just start drawing right away. Let's make our circle in the middle first. Make it on 70 millimeters diameter. Okay, finish that sketch. No, we need an office out plane. Select the circle as the offset plane. Okay. No, he wants another, um, sketch. Let's make Oh, yeah, lips. Select the origin. If you can. I would recommend you to always select origin can make the perhaps a little bigger. Like this initial sketch ums. Let's take 1/3 1 You know, they're also plane. Make it also on 20 millimeters on create sketch on top of it. Let's use, um, center rectangle so we can select the origin as the center. Move it up. Make it so finished. Scotch. There we go. We have the profiles on. Well, no, let's also make a rail. So let's select this or this, um, plane do. Oh, No, it's like the wrong one. Okay, way. Want to use this one? Okay, now we need to Oh, the projectiles off the project. The projection link off our profiles. So let's alike profiles. 12 three. There we go. Press. OK, We have the points for our t's plot for our fit points line. Okay, I can do something like this. Um, go back here on select this one. Check, Finish sketch. Uh, now we are ready to create the lost loft. We select our first profile second profile on our their profile. Well, we also gonna write, Gonna write all. So select the rail on. We get that nice little curved shape. Okay, so you can see it goes from a circle into a rectangle. We get that nice shape I cannot. Let's greatest week. Let's go back to the, um before we did the loft. Yes, it turned off our sketches. Wanna have all of them right here? No gun or create sweep. Now select the profile. You can see you can select only one profile, so that will be a little different to the loft on. As a path, we select our fit points blind. Well, that didn't work because money to use Carol on you can see we get a kind of similar shape to the old one. But if we press OK on, um, you can see that it is always the circle that we selected as the profile. So in every point off this shape, the diameter off the circle is the same. Let's go back. Let's use the different profile. If we select this profile, you can see would get a different, um, shape made out of this profile. It also goes down because it's following our our path. If you want, you can select also the rectangle on. We get a rectangle shape. Okay, let's try something else. Let's say let's say we have a box. That's great. A box Okay on and we have no the profile. Well, let's make an offset plane off this there. Okay on. Let's draw another sketch on selecting the wrong plane. Sorry, that's like this plane. Let's draw a sketch on this plane. Let's make I know some weird looking something like this. Oh, no, that that's not very good. Sorry, that's better. I could see it was an intersection that might be an issue. So let's create a sweep. A gun? As the profile, we select the sketch. And as the path we can select a Naj off the box on, you can see that the path is the same length as the edge off our box so we can go on. Inspect can select this face this verse and you can see the distances 67 pulling 1491194 millimeters. Andi, if we measure our faces right here, we will get exactly same distance. Okay, we could also do, um Could draw a sketch on here. Let's make something like this. Okay, finished the sketch. Andi can go on a believe this to make another shape on this plane that we already made. Let's make a circle like this. Finished the sketch. Um, let's create the sweep. Okay. We like this as the profile. Let's try and select this as the path, Okay? That didn't work. They're not in the same direction, so let's change. Oh, are home our sketch. Let's put it on here. I hope that's gonna work. Which, like this asked the profile on this has the power. You can see. We got that shape inside off the box. So it is following the path 30. The boss Andi because it's inside off the box fusion 3 60 um, used cut s operation. You could use join which would just make these two bubbles or intersect, which will be also pretty interesting. But let's just select cut. That's okay. You can see we have that home. We have the body that was cut out off the box. 16. Mug Project: Okay, let's go ahead on try to create something more realistic like a cup with this week. So we want to create a Scotch sketch first from the front. We will use a line skinning. So let's go up This you like 15 millimeters? Oh, perfects maybe 40 millimeters on this side. Let's make maybe 35 every thought. It's better now Let's use a fit points blind to gonna show you a new tool that we can use to create state something like this a little easier. Finished the sketch. I know there's some something called Revolves so this will basically make 360 degree solid body off one sketch So we select this has a profile or sketch on the access when we want to turn started body around this Access A Z can see we have a solid body. So it went like this R on the sketch so I can see angle three of 60 degrees. If we make 180 you can see we have half a cup. But we don't want half a cup. I want full cops. So there we go. Onda. We don't have a whole we can put anything in there. So let's create a hole. But this time we want to use, um Where is it? On a modifier. We want to create a shell. We select this body. Slits make it five millimeters a little smaller, maybe maybe like three through these kits that we have. But distance from all the faces is three millimeters. You could check it out. If you select respect measures like this, this face on this space can see the distance three millimeters the same thing at the bottom . If you select the bottom face on this one, we also get through eight millimeters. Um, we have something like a cup, but we handle So let's create that as well. So we kind of go make a sketch. We will use this plane because we already know that this is the middle. That's the plane we created the, um the revolved around. So let's select this plane. And now I'm gonna use the fit points blind, which will go something like this. Maybe. I hope that's good. Okay, escape. Now we want this to snap to this line right here, so we will use our coincident constrain, and you can see just snip to the line. Same thing at the bottom. Want to select this point? This'll line on. There we go can finish the sketch. Okay, let's create a sketch for the profile off our sweep. So going to construct we need a new plan to do so now we can see plain tension to face that point. We have a point up here, Onda. We also have we also have the tangent. Select the point Aunt, that has the tension on we get the plane press. OK, Andi. Now we can create our sketch for this week. Let's use this as a plane on also. Lets go hard on use the circle. Concede the origin is right at the point. So we select the origin on. Let's take a look. How big that sketch it about Circle s. I think that's pretty good for the size. Maybe a little bigger. Okay, let's make it seven millimeters. The diameter off handle, I'm sure finished the sketch. Uh, what we want to do, We, uh, um create our sweet So the profile is gonna be that circle on the path. It's gonna be our fit. Um, flying. Okay, so we need to change this to perpendicular on now as the operation. We don't want to cut anything because it's just touching it. Join on there. We have our handle. That's okay on there. We have a cup. Well, you get three pin that, um, test it out if it works on, see in the next video. 17. Components: can this video. I'm gonna explain you what components are eventually hope to use them. So especially if you have a bigger project, you might want to add some components. So let's just make a solid body like a box. Doesn't matter what. Let's make another long like a cylinder. Um, top of the box. Like this, Um, a separation. We can We can't join. You can see that home Square or that box. So that represents a component. So under this component, we have all the settings and all the bodies. If he would create a plane offset playing as a as an example, all of it would be on under this component. But we might want to another computer components. So new component. And you call it, I don't know, calm Poland to something like that. You can see there is. The timeline is gone. So it would change to this one. Oh, sorry. Accurate. This one you can see Activate component or someone with this activated. So this one activated on. You can see we have a timeline right here on. If we change of this one, we activated, We can still see our bodies and even the plane. But we don't have a timeline anymore. If we create something like gone Flores, select a plane, we can even select the planes off the other component like this. It's OK. And now we have a timeline as well. But we have a different timeline then which accurate? This component? Um, yeah. If you have bigger projects, you might want to keep things organized. This will help you up. 18. Align Bodies: It's also important to know how to align objects. So let's create some great box ums. Maybe a cylinder. Um, here, um, and can also take a sphere for this. Here. There we go. Okay, So if you go toe under modify, you will see the A line, um, kill. So let's so like that's And now we can align solid bodies so or whatever components wherever you want. So let's use this cylinder and align it to the side of this blocks. So if you drag your mouse over your cylinder, you can see there are different points. If you put your mouth on top of the until the point, this is actually the center off the cylinder. You could also select the center off the circle off the cylinder on on the other side as well on the box to conceive the center off the rectangle, the center off the line on. And if you if you'll go on there, actually, two lines the line off the chop on the line off the side so you can see if I move the mouse a little, it will change for the center. It won't really change it, but there is a different animation for the different edge line the same on the other, Edges on on the other faces in the sphere. We got only one center because it's a swear. Okay, so if you want to select the center off this side of the cylinder left, click it on. Now you can select to to another center. Let's so, uh, to this one on. And we get this. Yeah, this shape press. OK, you have to know that these are two bodies unless we combine them. So conceive this body. One body too. But we just aligned one side of a cylinder to the side off the books on. We could also align the sphere Sandra the sphere to the box or even Teoh the on Senator. I'm gonna choose the box. No, at the bottom, huh? There we go. Realigned the box, the sphere to the bottom, off the box. And if you want to create one body out of it, you can just, like combine. So that this body, all three bodies 123 Um, you need to choose one Target, buddy. Cooperation. Join can press. Okay, if you want to do that, it also he's this past the target body. Use this as the two body on, uh, can choose cut as the operation on you go this shape because it will cut out this fear out of the box. Let's just click. Join on. Also select this body. I know we got one body, as you can see. 19. Joint: All right, so let's check out the joint tool infusions or 60. We need two components to use of our tool. So that's great, too. Um, let's create box. Something's the march of this. Okay, let's create a cylinder on top of the box. Okay? I dont know, can create a sphere on top of the cylinder. Join perfect can. Ah, let's create a second component. New components. You can see the timeline is not well. We have a new timeline. Let's create Ah, tourists. Oh, what's creating offset? Playing first? So we got some distance between these objects. Let's created tourists. Was that Char's once like this? I'm just gonna make it like this Big. Maybe a little smaller. I think that's pretty good. Kills press. OK, as we're ready to use the joint. Okay, so it's select our first component, which is completed one on the second component, while we have only two components. So let's select ourselves Central sphere. Perfect. Oh, so you can see this already moving? Uh, well, it depends what we have on here. Let's choose rigid for the motion right now. And I can see it was information. Okay. Home? Not really. What We want this just turning it. It's moving up and down. I think about a bowl. One was the best. Okay, so if you click on animates play conceived animation, it's OK, Okay, Now, if you go under a sample to enable way, I'm going to show you something before we do that. If you move, we can actually move it right now and you can see it's going right through it. It's not colliding with anything. It's like, looks like this, not even there. So let's use the assemble. Enable all contact function now. And you can see it's right here. And if we tried the same again, you can see it's colliding with the edge off the box. So I can't go through this solid body through our second component. Whatever I want to do doesn't work. Okay, so if you want to undo that, you can disabled contact on a no. If you try it again, you can see we can go through it again. So this joint function is sometimes useful if he want Teoh, If you want to check out the motion of something, Um, yeah, 20. Parameters: Let's say we had a whole bunch up cylinders. What's neck If you you want here, here. Smaller one here. Okay, I think that's enough on. We wanted to make a fill it we would have to select every. We'll have to select every cylinder which takes time on. And, um, the problem is, if we say the fill it is five millimeters, it's five millimeters on each, um on each cylinder. So if we select different edges, we can't select different Phillips as well. But if we would like if we had 100 cylinders would take a really long time to select um, just elect the radius for the village. Um, if you had three radi I on a whole bunch of cylinders, you would probably make about parameter to just type in the word on with much posture. So let's take a look. How are we going to do that? So there is a under modify. There's something called change parameters ons. You can add a barometer if you click on the plus sign, can call it radius three or something on the expression. Could be three millimeters can change the unit. Let's just use millimeters on. We have one parameter called radios three, which represents the three millimeters. Okay, well, actually, let's make another parameter. Let's make one ready. Yes, 10. On. And let's use a value of 10 millimeters. Okay, so if you want to make it feel it now, we can select, um, different cylinders. No, just type in. You're the name off your parameter. So if you put in in are you already can see which one you want to choose, the 10 millimeters or the three millimeters less Just used the terminal. Let me just with this one on looking along, these two can issues. Oh, Radius three for 39 years on. That's how the parameters work. There's nothing that we can do. Let's go back in the timeline. Right click on delete All features After history Marker. Let's create a sketch on the bottom. It's made just lying. Mom. Jake. Okay, so escape on. If you press d on your keyboard, you can select one line on. You'll be able to change the dimension off your line. Okay, left. Click on. There we go. So right now we have to our 41 millimeters, we can just topping 200 millimeters we can do that with every from line. So press de select the the line that you want to change and now left Click on could change this to trotted as well. All right, In cat programs, you want to do things as fast as possible. I don't want to waste any time. Why would you do that? So if you change this 1 to 100 this will stay 200 of course. But this one, we could change this one too. Um, to a parameter skulled Reyes are no 10 millimeters or three millimeters. Answer. Have this one. We'll delete it. You cooked while you're editing the length. You could click on this one and you can see there is an f X. So it's a referring to something on. If we click on this length, the boat, uh, it will got changed to D 15 which is dimension 15 which is this small piece. You she after it? You can see that both are 10 millimeters on this is preferring to our parameter on this length is referring to D 15 which is since this length. Well, we can change the parameter change parameters, which is this one. So let's change the expression so they get 20. Let's make it 300 millimeters. This will change as well. And if you press OK, you can see we have Did I mention off 300 millimeters on this site on 300 millimeters on this site. This line. Okay, So could change this back to 200. This back to No, maybe 400. Andi. So we know that this is D 15 your kitchen's top in D 15 again 15 it will become 400. So if we change this 1 to 100 more annually, this one will change as well. So that's hopefully another, Have you how you can used fusion for 60 much foster, especially if you create sketch obvious objects. 21. Patterns: another way off. Using fusion 3 60 is with patterns. Let's create a table on who will look how to use them. You can see there. Right here. Pattern. Oh, so it's great. Our rectangle. This is a good table, I guess. Andi, now it's great. Are likes. Let's put them right here. That's good. Nine millimeters. Um, we want to mirror it. So we have similar legs, so we need a line. Put the line here one Merrill line and again use the midpoint to put the line the mirror line in the middle, which is already in the mill. We need another line. Okay, so this line will already be in the middle. But you can check that out like this to know of this. There we go. Now we can mirror the circle. It's like a circle as an object on the mirror line. This this okay? Seems like we can't number through two lines at once. I wish we could, but whatever. Once in there, these objects. This one. Oh, sorry. Now the Merrill line will be this one. Okay, let's finish the scotch. Andi extrude it. Oh, maybe five millimeters. Okay on. Let's extrude the legs. No sketch on there. We have our table. Okay, so we already learned how to do that. There will be a new thing. Let's create an ark on top of relax. So create sketch use this one on. No. Under create can see arc on the three point arc. So, like this one, Andi, you you can just select the outer circle. We don't wanna make the are too big, but I think that's pretty good. Okay. And now you can move it to the inside a little. Not too much like this. Okay, finished the sketch. And now we can extrude of this. Um well, X, treat this to the inside. Let's make it minus 20. So OK, operation is cut clear. No. Who want to make a pattern? So create pattern and use circle or pattern, because the thunder as a circle, um, you can see the pattern type it's faces right now, so we get. So, like, these two faces that would work till late. Fine. So if it's like the access can see, we get another three off the well of this cutouts extrusion cutouts on quantity can change that. You are no, maybe for five six. You can see there will get more and more, but I want to show you something. Let's change the pattern type. What's changing? Two features on what is the future will feature something on the timeline like an extrusion on. Well, this is the extrusion. The last one is the extrusion for the cut out. So we select this and you can see we have the same thing selected. Okay, you can see these two faces. This is much easier. Because if you had 50 faces with, if you made a cut out with an extrusion and yet 50 faces and you have you would have to select all 50 faces, it would take much more much longer than just selecting the one extrusion on the timeline. While the access who want to make the pattern is the cylinder. So select the slender on. Let's make this a little less. Let's make it. No, maybe four. Does that look, I think that looks pretty good. You already can see something like the cat out on this under. Okay, justice Fine press. OK? And you can see we have the nice leg on one side. Well, 1000. Really. Look good. If it's only on one leg, let's make it on every lack. So we need, um another mirror. This case here for the mirror. We need a plane or two planes. So we're gonna use mid plane in mid plane between this face on this face, which is right in the middle between these two plains. Okay. On another mid blame between this face, uh, this space and we get another plane. Okay, so we are ready to use for the mirror function? No. What do we want to mirror? We want to mirror. Well, we could murder the faces once murdered the features again. Okay, So we're going to select on the timeline. What we want to mirror once mirror the pattern. Not only the pattern, but show you. So if you select the pattern as the object what you want to mirror, you can see that the pattern does not include the first extrusion. Because the first extrusion, it's just extrusion. Andi, we made the pattern out of the exclusions, so we also need to select the extrusion Okay on as a mirror plane. We want to use this one on. I don't think OK, we can't use the second murder plain. So to make a second step, that's OK. And you can see we already have two off those legs. Hey, next, make another mirror. Not thinking no pattern type features. Gallery, select This, uh, this. I asked them. Their plane goes like this one. Okay, um, go with mirror features. We can murder this mirror on to use the this plane to, but you've out press. Okay on there. We have our beautiful legs without pattern to 22. Analysis: at the end of a project. We sometimes want to make him analysis. See if your project meets your expectations. So let's try that out. Let's make a box. The former environment. Something like this on. Let's go to crease something called Crease. Now we can select the edges off our box. Okay, let's just select the order. I just And you can see we get a kind of flat surface up here with well known any I just Oh , curving crunchers. Sorry. Okay. Yes. Okay. If it is the form, let's check out the analysis. So we figure under inspect, you can select something called zebra analysis. No, I can select your body. We get this weird shape. I have it locks drives right now, you probably don't don't have this selected, so it will look like this on it would change all the time as you move or rotate around your object. So that's a lot Lock stripes. So there looked No, um, that's okay. On what you can see in these in this curvature, we have lots stripes on on the top. We don't have a lot stripes. So what? It basically tells you, um, the mawr stripes that we have the mawr curvature we have so on this side, we have mawr curvature than on the top, obviously. And also, you can see the lines fit when they go over between these two faces here as well. But if we g o on the flat surface, we can see they don't fit at all. That's because there is no curvature. This is just a 90 degrees angle on. Um, yeah, there's no curvature. Right? Let's make another box bottom. The solid environment box right here. What are blue? Okay, if you want to undo this, you can go under analysis. Can not show it or analysis. You have zebra. You could double click it on. Basically, undo it. Yeah, Or just delete it on here. Okay, so another thing is measure. I think you saw me using this tool already. You can just click a surface on another surface and you get the distance between the surfaces. You'll also see that right here on. You'll also get a mangle. Let's say it was like this one. This one would get a 90 degrees angle which also can see here. He can also use inspect on sketches it's shot like this. Let's make a 50 points lying like this check. Okay, um, if you right click on it can select something called toggle curvature display on there. We have a curvature. You can see it goes up where we have the most or the biggest curvature. So Oh, if you added this, Okay, if you edit this, you can see the curvature also changes. We get a huge curve hunt. Yeah. Okay. You can do the same with, um with a curvature on a solid body. So under inspect, go curvature calm analysis. But now we can select an edge that you will get the curvature off the edge. It also select another another edge. You also get the curvature of this one. 23. Writing Text In Fusion 360: All right. This is gonna be small tutorial. How we can ride something. Infusion. 3 60 That's a, uh, you have something you want to write a tax with a label cape? Let's let's do it. So we need to create a sketch or solid. Well, that's just Let's just make a rectangle on Dropbox. So it's used centric tingle on. Let's do something like this. Let's extrude it. Okay, let's put some fill it on it. I think it's not shape. Um, maybe on this side, swell. Something like this. I don't know. Can you want to put a label in front of this on? You need to create a sketch. Select this. A surface on then can go under create text. Um, well, now you can write something on the plane so can type something in, like, six days on. Could move this around, put it on the top. I think you could even make a midpoint. This could use that. These lines as a midpoint can't select the axe right here. Unfortunately, no, but could be using coincident come string. No, wicked whatever. So that's why can create text, create something at the bottom course. Okay. Can move this around. You can finish the scotch. Andi. It could also extremely, this This this I don't know, make something like that. You have this nice, extremely label can. You can make a filleted or added this as well. Um, you get something like this. Okay. Hope that help you. Oh, yeah. 24. Project Part 1: let's start with the first part of our project. In this video, we will create a box and in the following radio will collect create the lead for the box. So if we if you have a bigger project, you wanna have multiple components. So if you right click on this are component a component, you can recognize a component. If it has a box like that second right, click on it and create a new component. Let's call this component of box and who want to make another component what you want to call the lid. So we have two components here on we want to select the boss component. Since we want to start with the box first, um, you have that circle the point inside a circle that represents the activated component. So we want to switch to the bucks component. So I'm gonna activate this component left click on that Onda we are inside of our Boston public are component. Okay, so we want to create a sketch from the top of you. We select the plane and the first thing we want to do is a rectangle, so you could just simply press s on your keyboard on. Do you have the sketch shortcuts on one. To select the central rectangle, you could find the center rectangle. If you go under, create or rectangle center rectangle as well. Then we want to select the origin point, which is right in the middle. And now you can see we can move out off our origin so we can create a box. Let's make it maybe, uh, 17 millimeters on that side and press the tab on your keyboard so I can so like the other one. And for this one, I think to under 50 millimeters should be pretty good. Okay, Now we can finish off the sketch and we have our sketch right here. And in order to make a box, we want to make an extrusion as the profile one a. Select our sketch. Since this is the only profile we have Houston 3 60 all already used this as a profile. Now we can move it up. Andi, as the height, we can select 80 millimeters, which is eight centimeters. Press OK on there. We have box or yeah, that's what we learned in the last video as well. But now we can't put anything inside the box, so we need to make a hole in there. So we're gonna use the shell command under modify Use shell or that I can up here. Now we want to select the top face. You can select any face, but let's select the top face on if you dragon in 10 millimeters. It also changed. The number could put it something like 15 millimeters, but I think we should go for 10 millimeters. So that means that every every side of the wall is 10 millimeters thick. If we press OK, we could check if that's actually true, so we can go under inspect measure. We can select the bottom face on the face at the very bottom and you can see the distance between those two faces is 10 millimeters. You could also select ah, a site wall and you can see those. The distance between those faces is 10 millimeters as well. If you wanted to make one face a little thinner, you can select the extrusion. Select that face as moving in a little. If you make minus 10 millimeters, you will have a completely complete hole in there because the Wallace 10 millimeters thick , but let's type in minus five millimeters. So 10 minus five is five. So the wall will be five. The bottom wall will be five millimeters thick and also as operation we want to make cut fusion 3 60 Already figured out that we want to cut something out since we we extruded the face to the inside. No, we want to select breast OK, on. If we measure it again, this plane on this plane, you can see we got a distance off five millimeters. All right, let's make a fill it to make some to make the corners a little Oh, well, more around We will get into will have a problem now because if we drag this in, you can see if we drag it too far. We have those holes inside of her books which we don't want and get super thin corners, which is also pretty bad. If we wanted to change that, we could cancel our operation, go back into the timeline before we made the, um the shell so can drag this thing behind the shell where we had our box. And now if we do the fill it, select all the corners again. Well, that I just excuse me. Poor if you move it in 15 millimeters press OK on now Go back Where we at the end of our timeline right here. You can see that we get this curvature inside as well. So this this wall is still 10 millimeters thick and that's what we want. Let's go back where we want where we made our sketch. Double click on it on there. We have a first sketch again. Let's change it a little bit. So we so we can make a snap mechanism at the end that the lid will close with our box. What we want to do know is we want to make a line. You could press out on your keyboard or just simply click on that line I can, and one A. Let's just make a line right here. It doesn't matter how long the line is. Just make it straight and see like that on. You can move to that check sign, so get the line. If you want to get out of that line, I can. Since we don't want to create another line for the oh, for I know you can click escape and you can see we are out of the line feature. Now we have something like constraints. We want to use the midpoint. We want to select this line. I wouldn't put this line into the middle off this line. So when I select this to the mid point of this and you can see this line just jumped into the middle off this line press estate. The reason why I wanted to put this line in the middle is because we want to make a mirror . We're gonna make another two lines. Let's just start somewhere this point. Um, I'm just freehand drawing right now, so there's nothing special going on right now. Okay? I just made that little cat out right here and what we want to do. Since this will be really hard to freehand draw on the other side, we want a mirror this on the other side with the help of this line. Since this line is the middle we're gonna under create, we're gonna select mirror and the objects that we wanted to mirror are those two lines one to objects to selected those two lines and as the mayor line. We are going to select our middle line and you can see we have We already have a projection . If we press OK, you can see that they'll sign to represent the mirror function. We get those two lines mirrored to the other side. All right, let's finish the sketch. And if we move to the throne over timeline, you can see that nothing happened. Well, that's because we need to change the change. The extrusion right here. What we want to extrude under profile, we're gonna select new profiles. So when I close, though, close off those profiles that we previously selected. We want to select this profile right here. You can see we get this off. Nice. Cut out Press. OK on. If you moved back again, you will see, we have this. I'm nice cat out with the cut out in the box on the rounded corners. Another thing that we want to do is, um, to make an or ring into our box right there. Why do we want to do that? Well, that's because if we put on the lid, if we want to store some food as example, we don't want the air to come inside the box. So we want to make a cat out in the in the wall. Well, how do we do that? First of all, we're gonna make section analysis to look inside inside our walls. We select this plane right here on moving it like that, I think smutty around the middle press. OK, on under the box component. You can see, um, that we have our box buddy, which we can rename to box. Since we just had a body name remain. Rename it to the box and we are ready to make that cat out. Okay, let's make a sketch on. Let's create that sketch on on this side since we have Yeah, we just want to create the sketch inside or waas so we can make it cut out along those lines. No, we want to make a We'll make a rectangle. We know the walls are 10 millimeters thick, so we can just simply select. Let's make, uh, depth off. Three millimeters on can change this 1 to 5 millimeters. So we will have We will have 2.5 millimeters on this side on 2.5 millimeters on this side of a distance, so we watch it. We wanna have this in the middle. You can see we don't have it in the middle of right now. Well, that's because we just freehand draw that rectangle. All right, let's change this. We want to make a projection off our body. So press p on your keyboard, you can see we have that project on. Now we can select the geometry we want to select. Um, let's select the whole body. So as the selection filter, we need to change the bodies. Now we can click on our our box on. We will get projection off the body into our sketch grid. It seems like we didn't get everything. So we're gonna select this again and we want to select the Oper Oper face. That's okay. And now we can see we have one point right here on another point right here. I want to change the right of you to make sure we get a better view. Onda, we wanna use the Kalin ear function or constrained to put this line on unto this line. So we select this line and we select this line and you can see that that rectangle would will jump into this line. Quick escape on. You can see we have that rectangle off on our on our top layer off our box. Still, we don't have it in the middle. Want to make the cat out in the middle? So we have 2.5 millimeter since this side on 2.5 millimeters on this side. Why 2.5 millimeters? Because we know the length off our rectangle. This length is five millimeters. If you select the line, you can see at the bottom right hand corner. You will see a little length, which is five millimeters. Okay, escape. And now we wanna use the dimension or again just press d on your keyboard. Now we can select a point, um, on a rectangle and the point right here, which is the end off our off our wall on. If we move it up, we can see that the distance is two point age 54 millimeters. Well, we said we wanted to have a 2.5 millimeters, so we just simply type in 2.5. Press enter on. You can see that our rectangle to go to the right of you again. Just jumped into the mill between those again we could press deep on. So like those two lines, we get an error. No, we don't. Okay, that's interesting. Oh, yeah. Now we do. So, yeah, you could just press. Okay, Andi escape. You can see, um, this is 2.5, but this is dependent on to this dimension, That's what That's why this isn't brackets. Okay, so we have the rectangle in the middle off our wall. We can finish the sketch now, and we want to make an extrusion. No, not on extrusion. We want to make a sweep on before we do this. Weep. Let's turn off our analysis because the section analysis gets kind of annoying right now because we don't need it anymore. So I can just section one turn it off and you can see we can see the other part of our box again. Okay, Let's create a sweep as the profile. Uh, let's turn off the box because we cannot select our rectangle right now. Let's turn off the box. Let's select a rectangle as the profile. Let's turn on the box again. And as the path we are going select the line. That's like the owner or the older line. It doesn't make any difference when I select every line and now you can see it will go all around unless we select this one as well. Now I can see it will go all around our our box because we select this those lines as our path Make sure the orientation is perpendicular on that the operation is cut. Since we make if we would make join, you can see this would join our box which we don't want who want to cut out for the orange click. OK, on. There we go. We get our cat out inside of our books. Another thing I wanted to show you. Let's create another sketch. I want to create a sketch in the middle. How do I know that this is the middle? Well, we started in the origin. So this was the origin plane in the middle. You could You could make another our plane in the middle. If you go under, construct on mid plane and select this face and this face and he would grab a plane in the middle like that, which would look like this Okay, so let's create a sketch on this plane, which is the middle plane on, and we know that the height waas 18 millimeters. If you're not sure you can check again, shake this line on the distance to this line. You get 80 millimeters from this line to this line car. Let's create this another rectangle. We want to make the side walls a little thinner as well, and we will make a rectangle, which is 70 millimeters the height of 70 millimeters tab. The width will be Let's make it five millimeters. Remember, we made an extrusion on the bottom on the bottom layer off the box, so the bottom wall is five millimeters. Let's say you wanted a five millimeters waltz on the side as well. So let's create this sketch left, Click. Um, click escape. You can see this sketch. It's nor inside off our for a box right now. We can change that pretty easily. It will make a projection Press p on your keyboard again off our off our box into the sketch grade. That's okay. And you can see we got those points. Now we got a line right here on with the projection. We can do a lot of stuff of the projection we Kurds are they had coincident. We could select this point at that point on, As you can see, the rectangle will jump perfectly into our box into the middle of our boss on the side. Finish off the sketch. You can see we got that, uh, profile right there again. We want to make a sweep. Sweet. Let's turn off the box. In order to select our profile, select the rectangle as our profile Turn on the box again, and as a path, let's select this line. So I selected the outer off the inner. Yeah, cut out. And as you can see, this will go all around or box until our until our yeah snap mechanism right here, which will create in the in the let video. Okay, the next thing that we could do ISS we could, uh, make a fill it on the corners. It's like this corner on this one as well. That's select also the bottom corners right here. It's usually better if you have around corners. If you make a product like that. So we have all those kroehner selected and as a fill it radius we can put, Let's say 2.5 millimeters or maybe 1.5. You have to play around with that a little. I think 1.5 is better on press. OK, we can do the same thing on on here. You can see it will go all around her box on as the Philip Radius Select 1.5. That's okay. And we get our nice box. All right, but we're not done yet. Um, in the next video, we are going to create the lid will also create the step of the snap mechanism so that are lit will snap right into our box on other things. Like connecting the lead to our box. Stay excited and see you in the next video. 25. Project Part 2: all right. Before we start creating our lead, I want to just I just wanted to tell you if you have any questions or comments or concerns , you are welcome to write me a message, and I'll answer you. So since we created the box, we want to save her project in case something happens. So it save it. You can. On her location, you creates a new project or whatever you want. I'm just going to call it lunchbox lunch box on Save it. Okay, let's switch to the lid component now, since we want to create the lead we don't want, we don't want to create the lid in the box, because at the end we will run some animations on. In order to do that, we need to different components. So let's activate this one on. You will see that this component will become transparent. That's because Fusion 3 60 wants to help us to say what we created outside off that component. Also, you'll notice that the timeline is going. If we change back to the box component, you'll see that the timeline is there again. All right, let's change to the lead in order to create the lead. I want to make a sketch. And as the plane, we are going to select the top layer off our box. So that's gonna be that. And see this, this or this plane. Okay, we get our sketch grade on the next step is to create a projection off or box on the sketch grid. So press p to get the project projection link or go under create project on you'll get the same because projections are you sung are so many times fusion for 60 made a short card on the keyboard p for project, so make it a little posture. Okay, that's the selection filter. We want to select bodies and make sure the projection Linkous activated as the body were going to select a box press. Okay, on you can see we get though, saw purple points on lines. We want to create another line which connects this point. Uh, you will see this will snap if you go with your mouths over that point, it will snap on that point, then left Click on move it to the other point. This point finished the sketch extrude. I want to select the profiles that we're going to extrude. Okay, We want toe. Select all the profiles. This one, this one and this one three profiles in total on let's extradite Form millimeters. I think that's pretty good for a lid as operation. Of course, we want to create a new body. Okay, so there we go. We have the basic structure off or leg. That's not it, though. Imagine if we turn the later little that. I mean, if we turned the box a little, the lid will just slip off on falling to the ground. We don't want that to happen, so I thought we could create Ah, some little small overhanging piece right here, so it will snap on the box. Let's do that. You might think extrusion would be the best way to do that on. If you try to do that, I can select this plane, but you cannot select the curvature. You can select curve edge. So we're going to use the present pool on the no select all the eight outer faces. And now you can see you can also select the curved, curved edge like tour of corner. Okay, this one's well. So we get eight faces selected in total on Let's make its maybe three millimeters wider in all directions. Press. OK, Andi, if you zoom in a little, you can see we get a kind of overhanging piece right there. This still doesn't really help her. There doesn't really solve our problem. So let's make let's make let's make it going. A riel overhanging pieces go down a little in order to do that. Let's turn off the box. Andi, let's create a shell show. Let's select this as our face and let's make it three millimeters. Why? Three millimeters? Well, we are way extruded. Um, we extruded the late three millimeters in all directions. So if we make a three millimeters wall, this will be the overhanging piece. Okay, we will run into a problem I'm gonna show you right now. Let's turn on the box on under. Inspect. Let's make a section analysis as the face. We are going to select this one now. Just moved that in just like that. Andi, if we move in, you can see this is still not on overhanging piece. Not really well, and the lid is not touching the box anymore. Why is that? Well, that's because we made a shell of three millimeters on the initial. The initial lead was four millimeters, so it became, um, three millimeters. So we have one millimeter off distance right here. It's cancel that. Let's fix that problem. Um, we want to turn off the body on the box. And next, who want to make an extrusion as the profile? We're going to select this one first, let's extra maybe one millimeter as operation wanna put join. Same thing we're going to do with the lid one millimeter and you will see if we do the same thing again. Turn on the box section analysis. It's like that face. Don't drag it in a little. If you move in right here, you can see the lid is touching the box now and we have a overhanging piece right there in all on. All on. All edges, of course. All right. So, still, if we turn, uh, if we turn our box, that's village will still fall off. Let's change that as well. Let's create a circle in the middle off our leg. Well, we already have a plane right here. The plane, the mid plane that we created for box. You can see this as a low capacity, but he still can see it on. Even if you have the other component activated, you can still select the planes off different components. So we want to select that our middle that made plain and finally make a circle. Um, like this. Um, yeah. Think that would be perfect right here. Que Finished the sketch on. We have that circle in the middle off for lead. Okay, now we want to make an extrusion off that circle you want to. I'm gonna show I'm going to show you something new. Gonna make an offset plane. So we will make the extrusion at an offset plane on the offset plane. Let's make it 35 millimeters away from our original sketch. The distance will be 45 millimeters off the extrusion, and you can see we get that nice little senator right there. Okay. Press. Okay. Make sure the operations a new body. Why a new body? Because a t and won a mirror that whole thing over to the other side In order to save time and cat programs. You always want to save time. Yeah. Okay. Press OK. Move to the right side. And now we're going to create another sketch on this is the top off our cylinder will select the end as the plane on. You're going to use a line going to his line from the top. You can see this doesn't snap to the edge. We will fix that in one second, but we want poor kid. That was really bad. We want toe. Make it so it will kind of touch the circle. You can see fusion for 60 makes a suggestion that this line will be tension to the circle on. We actually want to do that. So left. Click on. There we go. Well, the only problem right now is that, uh, that this line is not touching. That's right. So we're gonna make a coincident constrain left like I'm not select the point right here on select this, uh, this edge. All right. I want to make another line which goes from this from this point to the surface off our Yeah, all four circle or certainly right here. Now you can see that this line is not really a horizontal conceive. This is still, uh, we're actually this horizontal. Just didn't really look Aries on whatever. So so finished the sketch. Okay, on, let's make an extrusion. Let's make an extrusion off this profile. We select the other and off the cylinder on you can see that this will just go right, Um, to the end of a cylinder, as operation, we want to create a new body again. We want to mirror those to the other side. That's why I want to create a new body. Okay. Next step. We're gonna combine this body, this or target buddy, and as the tooled up as the tool by You wanna So, like this one right here, make sure that keep tools are off. We don't want to have this right now on the press. OK, you can see we have two bodies. One is the lid, and one is that body that we just created. Let's go. Let's just change this name to live instead of body 11. Perfect. All right. We want to make another sketch on that side, and we actually want to make a circle. And as you can see, fusion 3 60 again suggests the concentric are constrained to be in the middle off our circle. So we way actually want to do that. So left click, Andi, let's make the diameter four millimeters. That's okay. There. We get a nice circle. Then we want to make a line that goes out of that center out off the outer circle. We wanna make another line that goes from the center to this inner circle. Yeah. And finally, we want to move this from here up to the edge. Ride there. Okay, Finished the sketch, and you can see we got different profiles right there. Wanna make extrusion select this basin? This profile on How long do we want to carry it? Simply select the other side of the cylinder and it will cut right through press. OK, you can see we got this nice in the shape. Okay, so my idea waas that we can create a long cylinder right here that will go through that piece on another piece of right here on to make sure that the cylinder or that the lid snaps into the into that cylinder. We want to make a press pool. So, like this face, let's move it up. One millimeter should be perfect. See up. And now you can see this law scales a little up on who want to press a cylinder inside of that shape. I wouldn't need a little more force, but the benefit would be That doesn't slip out that easily. Okay, we have that shape ready now. We want to mirror it. Mirror pattern type is body on. As the object. We're gonna select this body right here as the mayor plane again. Let's use the big mid plane that we created for the middle off our box. We still can use the planes that were created in different components. You can see it has low capacity, but we still can select it. Select the mayor plane on. You can see we get this shape on the other side as well. Okay, All right. Now we want to combine as the target buddy. Who I select the lid and as the tool. Buddy, Wanna go for those two pieces? Okay. You can see all those three pieces will combine into one piece into the target piece called the Lib. Okay, that's about it for lip. Now we want to create the big cylinder, but the cylinder, we want to connect to the box. So We need to change to the Bucks component right here. You can see. Let's turn off that plane again. You can see that. The that the latest transparent now. Okay, so we want to make another sketch on as the sketch profile. We are going to use the sketch 13 which is the circle that we used to create those two pieces. I'm gonna show you why we want to use that. We want. Oh, yeah. You can select the sketch as the plane, and now you can see this catch grid is on the plane. We're on the circle. Let's make another center diameter circle. You can just roughly you can see it doesn't want to snap into the into the middle off our for circle, so you can just roughly put it right around there. I'm gonna show you how to do that in one seconds. How to put it into the circle. So let's make the diameter four millimeters. Okay. So you can see this is not really, uh this is not really in the middle. Well, that's a problem. Let's put it in the mill. So we're gonna use the constraint on we're gonna use the concentric constrain. So like that. So what do we want to do? You want to put this circle into into the middle off this circle? As you can see, we get this nice concentric are constrained. Sign right here. Which means that this circle is in the middle of this circle now. And you can see this Is that perfectly fits now. Okay, finished the sketch on Let's make an extrusion off that circle. I'm gonna make it from the right side. So, like this? Oh, select that inner circle. And now we want to if you look at it, but this will be only on one side. But if you want to change the direction, we're gonna make it on both sides. So let's change the direction. Just a metric. No, she can CEO. If you drag this out, this will go in both directions. That's make it 100 millimeters. I think that looks pretty good. Okay. Operation you body? Yes. OK on. You can see we got that. A body three and our box component. This is really important that the body is in the box components not in the lid component from the right. We want to make another sketch on this. On this, on the end off Earth's cylinder, we want to make a line on and can smooth it. Something like this. Okay, check. Now, use the tension. Or better before we use the tangent. Let's try and use the coincident constrain. So, like this point on this this edge No, use the tension just like the circle. Andi, Our line. Okay, now you can see while the line is not long enough. So if you wanted to make an extrusion, that wouldn't work. Let's try do that again. Let's make the line a little longer. Okay? So you can see if you touch the it would touch a circle now on as a constraint. One used strike again. The line. This should touch the circle now. Okay. Wanna make another line there? Okay, you can see IR fusion through 60. Already suggested that 10 jin constrain on it already. Looks like this is connected to the edge. Just wanted. I just wanted to make sure that it is so I'm gonna select this line or that. Oh, sorry. That point to the line on. We get an error because it is already connected. So perfect. Um, finish the sketch. Maken extrusion off that profile right here. Make sure there's gonna be a new body because we're gonna mirror this to the other side again. Now, we just simply want to move it. And I think 12 millimeter looks good. Millimeters. Um, began operation. You body press. OK, on we get that new body. No, we want to use the mirror function as the pattern jibe. I'm gonna use this body and as the mirror plane we're gonna use thus mid plane right here. There we go. And you can see you would get this nice shape on the other side as well. Turn off the plane on. Let's combine all of those together. So we as the target body, we have the box as the two body regard this shape we have that cylinder on. We have that mirror shape on the other side as well. Well, it's a little tricky. So, like, this one as well. Okay, so we got three to buddy selected. Operation will be joined as the target body weight off the box. Okay, Now you can see we did everything right. We get one body called box, right? Let's keep going. Let's keep it up. Let's make that a SNET mechanism at the front. Right here. So to make sure that the Lit doesn't flip off what we want to do, we want to make a sketch in the middle. So let's turn on this plane and let's select this plane. I'm just gonna make a free hand triangle right there so it doesn't have to touch the surface. Not really. That's because we're gonna use a constraint to do that. What a first want to make a projection projection off specified entities on as a specified entity. We're gonna select that face on. We get this projection off the face. Right on the sketch grid. Now we're going to use the So I used the coincident constraint to connect that point to the line. And also this point to this mine perfect can finish off the sketch and making extrusion out of that direct of out of that triangle. Now we want to make a symmetric extrusion since we want to want to go in both directions like this, think 10 millimeters perfect. Okay, Operation. We'll be joined. Were in the box environment. The box from Poland so this is important again. Okay. All right, let's switch to the lid Lit right here into the lid component. And we are going, Teoh, create overhanging piece right here that will snap into that triangle. So we're going to create a sketch on this on the top of the hour, on the bottom, over lead. And let's make a projection off this off this specified entity again, this geometry that's okay. Perfect. So we get, we will get one line right there, which is perfect, since we want to make a two point rectangle, Select the bottom view. Andi, let's make it something like that. All right, So you can see that two point rectangle is by far not in the middle. Ah, off that off the line. So there's a constraint to fix that. We're gonna use the midpoint constraint, and as the line want us leg this line and also that projection link off our face and you can see we get that. Ah, triangle we just which stands for midpoint on our rectangle is in the middle or this line off the rectangle is in the middle, which means that the rectangle is in the middle as Well, I am a little no perfect finished sketch. Andi, we want to make an extrusion off this off this rectangle. Now, which goes down like that. Okay. At the operation, we wanna join the lid. Maybe this a little too big. I think that looks a little better. Okay, Press. OK, so this joint the lid, the only problem now is Ah, as you can see, if I'm if I'm gonna turn off the box, there is no triangle cut out right here. So we need to change that. We're gonna use the combined function and as the target body, when I use the lid and as the tool body want to use the box and its operation, we don't want to join. What cut. We want to cut out the the box out off the lid. Excuse me. Gonna cut out the box out of the lid and the Onley intersection between the box and the lid is that little triangle right here. If we did anything, everything right, which we did. So, yeah, if we press okay, right now, it will delete or box. Why, That's because we have keep tools deactivated. Wanna make sure that we have keep to its activated. So we want to keep our box. That's okay. And if you check this out again, turn off the box. The difference is that we get this trial cut out. Okay, let's get the box back on to make this a little better. We can make a fill it on this edge like this. So this would snap more easily over that triangle. That's okay. And we get this nice shape. Okay, Let's go back to the bar to the top lunchbox component, which is, like, the overall component on you can see. Now we have our complete lunchbox. Let's give a lunchbox. Uh, a different color. Let's make the bottom read or something to give it a different color. You can press a on your keyboard. Andi. There we go. We have the appearance show up. You can see we have the steel in the design. Well, yeah, if you wanna have a lunch box, are made out of steel, you can keep this, but I think I'm gonna just going on changes to Teoh plastic. That skull for trends wasn't, um but I use the red color. What? What was that color? Let's use that color for our box on may be maybe green color for the top on their we get our nice box came. If you close this, you can see we have the box which is now made out of a different material. There's one more thing I want to show you, though. Let's turn off the lid Onda We can create some. Yeah, some ribs inside of the box. So let's make another sketch on the bottom. Off the box on. We're going to know we're going to create May a center rectangle Select the center. Let's move it out like that. Okay. No, I'm gonna make a line shows just simply bar in the middle. Okay, Next, I'm going to select this. So I'm holding down control on the keyboard. And then if you hold on control, you can select multiple lines. Gonna select those two lines on. If you press delete, you can delete those lines, finished that sketch, and with that sketch, we're going to make a web as the curve. We're gonna use this, this this, um that's flip it perfect. If you make it a little less two millimeters, you can see that we get those nice ribs inside the box. They will automatically go until they touch another, um, another surface. And they will go to the top off our box, which is perfect. Okay. All right. So that's our box with the ribs. Well, what? You could also make a make a nice ring inside that cut out if you want, show you how to do that. You will need to create a sketch in the middle, that certain on the mid plane again right here on how we're gonna use that. We're gonna use the center diameter circle again, and we know that the hide off the cutout off the O ring is three millimeters. So let's make the diameter off the circle. Also three millimeters. Okay, Perfect. Now we want to make a projection off our nice off box onto the sketch grid. Okay, we get this, which is not exactly what I had expected. Since we don't get the projection off, those are cut outs. So let's select specified entities. Let's also select those those faces. That's OK. And there we get the lines as well. Okay, so next step would be to do you attention to make this tangent to the bottom line on you concede will go kind of to the to the right. We don't want to have it to the right. So we know this cat out as five millimeters, we're going to use the sketch dimension. Andi, we're gonna use the central right here onto the bottom point right here on, and we can change the dimension right here. So let's let's trying to use 2.5 millimeters on. Since this is 2.5 millimeters, this will be also 2.5 millimeters Onda. We know that this circle is now in the middle. Okay, finished the sketch. The final step will be to make a sweep sweep out off that profile. It's like this. And as the path wanna go all the way around so I could select on inner or the order, um, order line as a path and then just go all around. Also select this line, make sure that the rotation is perpendicular and the operation we can actually out. Let's make a new body. Why not? So we get this. Ah, we get this whole ring inside off That cowed. We could also give that offering a different color, like white. Good week. There we go. He closed this. You can see it. We have that nice white all ring inside the or in chi out. And also the ledge. Well, we just close right now, which is OK in the next video. We're going to make some photo realistic renderings off our box. And we will also go over how to make an animation off this. Ah, lead and box. Finally, let's say for this on, see in the next video. 26. Animation and Rendering: since we created already hit Enter Box, verily to ransom animations and make some photo realistic images off our box Fourth animations. We need to go to a sambal on select as Bill joined. Now you can see we can select components Onley components on. That's the reason why we had to make two different components with with two different timelines. So we're going to select the lid and the box now. Fusion 3 60 asks for a position this off this position. It's only necessary if you, if the animation or motion type is gonna be a rev revolution or something else than rigid. Rigid is just shaking and you can see we get a shaking animation off our box. I'm going to stop this and his animation time a type we're going to select Revolution now. Fusion 3 60 asks again for the position. So it's basically asking us where where do we want the late to rotate around? And we want to route it the late around the cylinder, right? So we're just simply going to select the middle off our cylinder. I hope you remember that triangle represents the the midpoint constrain. So this is the middle off our cylinder left click and you can see we already get that animation. Play it again on and we'll just or go right through the box, which we don't want. Click. OK, and you can see we have a joint on our timeline. You can also find this right here. Joints revolution one you can double click on that flag on can manually rotate the leads around that midpoint off the cylinder again. It will just go through the box, which we don't want. So there's something called Enable All Contact. That feature is basically to, uh, yeah to create contact. So we're gonna enable this and we get a problem. Since we don't have on Lee two components, we have a body. We have a body of which is no, not under a component. So this is our roaring. Um, yeah, it's not. It's not another component. It's just a body can. Let's let's saw turn if you try to turn this. Since we have all contact enabled, you will see that this really doesn't really work because it's touching the It's touching the the O ring and it gets confused. So click escape and we want to make the body under a car under a component. So right click on the body. Let's call the body or, in all rain, enter again, right, click and create components from bodies, and you can see under that component we have our or in Let's try and rotate it again on there we go. You can see that we don't have that problem anymore. If you want the lead to stay at that angle can press enter. And it was simply stay on that angle. Gonna leave us like this. Andi. Let's Let's change to the render environment to make some photo realistic images you can see we get that shadow behind our, um, behind our box. You can change that shadow. You can change a lot settings in the scene environment or in the render environment if you'll keep. If you click on that scene, statins up here could go under environment library, and the current environment is sharp highlights. You can change this to whatever you want to cool light can left. Click on it and drag it into the environment and to the young to the environment and let go of your mouth on after one second, it will change the shadow on the Yeah, the light. Now it seems like the lightest coming from this edge show. So we get this shadow on this side. There's also soft lives of warm lied. You can play around with this a little. A soft light looks. Yeah, it looks like it's coming from the top. The light is coming from the top. So we get that shadow under the lid, which also can select, um, environment like that and drag this into into the scene on you can see nothing will change . Well, that's because you need to go to settings and as the background, we want to select the environment. Um, as you can see our box Well, uh, jump into this environment. You can change the size off the box by scrolling with your mouth on. Right Click can rotate around your around your box. Andi. Yeah, you can make could make some nice pictures on here like this. I'm just gonna leave it like that in the settings. You can change the camera settings as well, so you can change the prosthetic perspective. Um, so look a little different. Thinking about a little maybe this looks even a little better. Okay, you can change the exposure. You can also change hopes. Didn't want to change. That can also change the brightness off the environment. And you can change the focal. Where is it? Under camera. Um, if we change it back to perspective, you can change the focal length as well, which is sometimes a useful feature again. If you scroll with your mouse, you can change the size of your box. Let's actually change the material off the box again. I can click on here appearance on See that? The material in our design right now. Let's putsch. Let's pork put the transparent, um, transparent material and they're so under plastic you can go to a transparent and then select maybe the red one for our box and the wide clear one for a live You can see this looks kind of strange right now. That's because we haven't made Orender way. Didn't start any render Um yeah, so you can see that green play button right here on the top in canvas render and we want to make that in canvas. Render. Let's start that in canvas. Render Andi after a while it would get kind of blurry. And we have that timeline on the top on the right bottom corner. Um, why does it get buried? That's because usually 60 needs to calculate all all the light and the shadows. You as you change or as you change the camera, show you he wrote it around. You will see it will get blurry again. That's because it will need to re calculate all those things again. And after a while, you can see we will get all better on. And I think I'm just gonna speed this up for you were on Excellent right now, Andi. Yeah, I could I could select final or or infinite, but this would take a really long time. You can see the progress to ride there, Joe. I'm going to speed this up for you. So see in a second. All right. You can see it took two on 230 seconds to get to the excellent quality on. You can see we already have those effects with the with the light on. So fusion 3 60 calculated everything on. If you want to change it, you can hear changed. Changed the triangle to find their honor or infinite. I'm just gonna leave it on. Excellent on. No, you could make a You could capture a captured image up here. Capture image on. Yeah, current document. Window size is fine. So little maker image without those browser and the cube. Of course. Okay. And now we need to select a name as the Teibel recommend you to use PNG or whatever you want on you can say, if this to your project on also save it to your computer. Then you can select the location. Just click safe. Okay. On it will save this to your computer as a PNG document file. Okay, let's change back to the design environment. And as you can see, it still has those materials that clear. Transparent leads. Transparent. It's burned. Uh, box. Okay, so I hope I was able to teach you something. Need about sketches on components in this project.
