Thank you so much for sharing your expertise! When I was a small child an Italian woman lived next to our family. She loved to bake. Frequently she would bring a loaf of sweet bread over to my family. My mother, brother and I would sit down, slather the warm bread with butter, and devour the whole loaf in just a few minutes. The closest thing I've been able to find is Hawaiian Bread. I would give anything to have her recipe, so I could continue baking her sweet bread for my family. These are some of my fondest childhood memories!
LOVED it! Was so much fun! So helpful to watch Julia's techniques and explanations. She took the mystery out of using yeast, and truly helped make it a fun "small victory" for me! Loved that she went step by step, and was just the right tempo.... not too slow that it was boring, but not so fast that she missed steps. My raspberry jam buns (and goat cheese herb buns) turned out to be delicious! Also loved her little tips that she shared throughout (like how to soften butter when you've forgotten to take it out of the fridge ahead of time... which I did!!) Thank you Julia, and Skillshare!
This was such a fun class. I enjoyed seeing the step-by-step process and Julia's teaching style was wonderful. It's a good class to take if the idea of baking with yeast is intimidating.
