My meditation experience

In my 15 minutes meditation, I experienced something more like a connection than calm, and also a sort of relief that I was able to detach myself from my thoughts (I have OCD, so the thoughts keep coming). I put on a soft meditation music, and also focused on my breath as my chest rose and fell. These two were my Sati anchors.

Even though initially my mind was busy, I remembered the lessons and gently took my focus back as the thoughts popped up. Then, I focused on nothing. It's surprising how simple yet powerful this method was.

Even though my eyes were closed, I could "see" a panoramic span of darkness, much like the universe itself, that seemed to slowly move towards me. I had darkened the room and sat on the bed cross-legged, so I was fairly comfortable throughout the process. However, I felt slightly dizzy after opening my eyes.

Overall, I think I meditated much better after taking this course than I could before. What's more, even when I'm not meditating, I can still apply Sati and Sabai and calm my mind, which I think is great!
