My Favourite Cafe
I really enjoyed this class but had to take some liberties as we are still in full lockdown in Wales so I can't visit my favourite cafe. So I just looked through their Instagram and took my inspiration from some of their photographs. The cafe is called Bay 5 and is on the promenade overlooking Whitmore Bay on Barry Island (where they film Gavin & Stacey if you have ever seen that programme).
The two women that own the cafe only opened it six years ago in a disused lifeguard station. They make the most amazing crepes and pancakes and I love going there to stare at the sea.
I started with the coffee cup, then added the pancakes (which I'm not that happy with) and the lighting. I titled it FRIDAY MORNING as that is when I most like to visit when it's not too busy (it's a tiny building).

I posted it on Twitter and tagged the cafe and they absolutely loved it. They sent me a DM asking if they could post it on their Facebook and Instagram pages with a credit. They said 'it's so beautiful that more people need to see it'.
So that was nice, maybe they'll give me a free slice of cake when they reopen!
Thanks for the class and the inspiration.
