Digital sketch journaling from my tiny terrace

Since I finally have a tiny terrace in my NY apt overlooking a garden (after many years of looking out over a garbage area), I like to sit on it and draw, read or write. The other day it was hot, summery and late afternoon so I took a glass of white wine and leftover birthday cake out there and used it as the focal point of my sketch. I kept hearing "Cake, cake, cake" in my head so I thought why not start there when adding text. In my mind it was almost like a movie like, "Here is this moment on the terrace featuring the one and only, CAKE." Yes, that's nerdy. But I really enjoyed it.

I loved this class because it encouraged me to try sketching in a new style and use brushes I don't normally use. I definitely will be exploring the idea of keeping a digital sketchbook more.Digital sketch journaling from my tiny terrace - image 1 - student projectDigital sketch journaling from my tiny terrace - image 2 - student project
