Bizancjum

Lately, I've been paying a lot of attention to preparing for classes. I was looking for information about Byzantium and photos that would clearly show the motifs.

Recently I also bought a few gold crayons... pearl paints... eh :) Thank you for sharing your knowledge because I like to enrich my pencil case. On the occasion of other classes, I bought a white Dr. Martins, which I repeat: is fantastic. I carefully watched your video from the chapel. I analyzed what caught my eye the most and what I liked.

I did small experiments with masking fluid and structural paste. I admit that I regret that I don't know how to use gold foil because it could be interesting.

This is a period of gold, beautiful mosaics and amazing ornaments and geometric patterns. I decided to combine some of these things.

The frame is a mosaic. I used masking fluid and applied different colors of pearl paint, which gave the illusion of a mosaic. The background is repeated arcades that look like trees. The trees in the middle just stole my heart, I love them. I also added a peacock and maybe less geometric flowers. I think that by studying the paintings from this chapel you can create many great inspirations.

I made two more bookmarks.

I had an epiphany about the works of Gustav Klimt. And the halos of saints are reminiscent of the works of Alfons Mucha (zodiac)...

Did I use too many golden colors? I didn't plan it, but it looks great in real life and I'm happy with the effect. Thank you Ania for the classes, I think the topic is not exhausted and I will be happy to continue it
