A Self-Portrait as my Inner Critic, Mrs. Scared

A Self-Portrait as my Inner Critic, Mrs. Scared - student project

This is a sample project, to show you what it could look like, but you can do it exactly as you like.

Please give your Inner Critic a name too and share anything else you would like to, like your sketches, behind-the-scenes fun...

Sketches of how my Inner Critic looks

It was a freeing exercise to dress up as my Inner Critic, Mrs. Scared, and be as nasty and ugly as I could. I can't get over this still. Hahahaha.

Making these classes on the Inner Critic and taking time to take the self-portrait, has emphasized that she is separate from me. It was also a lot of fun to be her for a while and make fun of myself. So liberating to stop taking myself so seriously! But I noticed it was also heavy. She was sighing all the time, because of the heavy burden to take care of me I suppose.

Her name is Mrs. Scared because she is afraid I will make mistakes and say the wrong things and people won't love me anymore. When I first discovered that she is not out to get me, but simply scared/worried for me, was a great relief.

Please share your project too! You can even win a full year of Skillshare by taking my class. Check the end of the intro-video for instructions.

Keep creating!
