WITHOUT YOU EVEN DAWN IS DARKNESS

I wrote this poem inspired by the work of countless Chinese poets. This poem is written from the eyes of a Boy who is forgotten by the one he loved the most. The one he loved lost her memories and was separated from him. And when they finally meet, he becomes a stranger. Yet he is determined to win her love all over again.

I wrote this poem in Chinese. I tried my best to translate it into English. I hope it sounds good :)

🌙

没有你,黎明亦是黑暗

(Without You Even Dawn is Darkness)

Though mountains and rivers separate us,

the moon and the wind remain the same.

Gazing silently,

I wish the moonlight could carry me across,

For distance cannot diminish our bond.

Some wounds are etched into our bones,

shaping who we are and what we become.

Standing before the one who has forgotten you,

you remain silent,

letting the stillness bear the weight

of what words have shattered.

A life without love is like a night without stars,

awaiting only darkness.

Fate rolls its dice without asking;

I can only choose whether to continue.

To appreciate the beauty of a flower

is to disregard its roots.

Hope possesses its own magic,

rare and silent,

yet it brings miracles within reach.

Wherever I am,

whatever I become,

my heart remains constant.

Without you, even dawn is darkness.

Where you go, I go,

now,

and forever.
