This was such an amazing class!! I have been trying to strengthen my skills with values and contrast and these monochrome paintings were a great exercise.  Maria is such a wonderful teacher, and I am more than pleased by my finished pieces!!

I used SuperVisionn Sky Ink on the Kookaburra, Daniel Smith  Sleeping Beauty on the Flamingo, and Daniel Smith Burnt Sienna on the owl. 

The only thing I didn't like was the masking fluid .. I either need a better way to apply it thinly or just need to avoid it entirely, except perhaps the very whitest dots of the eyes.
