Another interesting course from Elizabeth inspiring me to try something new!

 

When I started this collage, all I knew was that I wanted to use the desert background (from an old calendar). I spent some time going through my random collage items until I found this set of mannequins. I decided they actually looked kinda creepy gazing glassily at nothing, so I figured that would do. I had several other collage elements, but in the end I felt that they detracted from the mannequins. The cherub is just covering up a caption from the original image. Maybe I should add some shadows though...

 

Even though I ultimately didn't really use any Dali style elements, that's not the point, is it. It's just about being inspired to get out the supplies and do something! It's still somewhat surreal, at least :-)
