Phase 3: 

I'm adding some of my texture, and this is super fun! I especially like how my argyle experiment turned out - I wasn't sure what was going to happen there and was pleased with the results!

 

 

Phase 2: 

That instrument cable was a challenge! I'm not sure how much detail I still want to add - I might put a plaid or argyle pattern on the strap, and I'm thinking I'll add frets to the guitar. Not sure though - I do like the stark, blocky shapes. 

 

Phase 1: 

I sketched my layout 9 times before I was happy with what I came up with. I was going the old-timey route with the tuning fork, and at some point I had to face the fact that I don't play with picks, so why put those in there? I suppose it was for composition's sake. In the end, I thought it was important to mention with my image that I am a performer as well, hence the cable.

I'm having a lot of fun so far!
