Easter Yellow Duckling

I paint Easter cards for both of my granddaughters - and this year they're each getting little chicks! :) This was such a fun lesson by Evgenia. I really enjoyed painting along with her and capturing this sweet little chick for Olive (my oldest granddaughter). I really loved painting with Maimeri Blu Mars Black for this lesson - it added some cool granulating effects on my terracotta pot. :)
Update: I wasn't happy with the chick's feathers in my first attempt. They were too long and it looked like hair, haha. I also deepened the tones on the terracotta pot which gave it more contrast with the little chick. Finally, I softened the sharp edges on the top of his beak.
